I cannot say enough how wonderful this venue is. My husband and I loved that we were able to choose every day to make our big day exactly how we wanted it. The staff was absolutely wonderful working with us and made our wedding day the best day of our lives. -

It was such a beautiful place to get married, we'd do it all again in a heartbeat. We had our ceremony on the beach and our reception under a tent next to the museum. It was truly the best day of our lives. Book early! They fill up quickly, and we can see why :) BIG thanks, Erin Gallagher for making all the difference. -

We are so happy we chose IRLSS. It's absolutely beautiful, and the staff was very helpful. The "turtle talk" was a hit with kids and even some adults. People ate and danced under the tent, and strolled onto the (otherwise empty) beach. Beautiful golden hour photos by the water and the dunes. -

I grew up going to Bethany Beach every summer and really wanted to get married at a venue in the area. The Indian River Life Saving Station was absolutely perfect. It's right on the beach; guests absolutely loved going barefoot for our event. It's a down to earth, unpretentious, fun vibe, and we all had a blast. Kayla and her crew were so kind and helpful. 10/10 would recommend! -

IRLSS is such a unique, incredible venue and it is truly a “blank slate” to work with to make your beach wedding a reality. Kayla and the staff were so friendly and helpful! The team opened the museum for the guests during our cocktail hour and the guests enjoyed getting to learn some history before going barefoot and dancing in the sand. We loved having our portraits taken in the museum - truly a unique setting. IRLSS is a natural, gorgeous setting with rolling dunes that are the perfect backdrop for photos. Highly recommend this venue! -

Indian River Life Saving Station was exactly what we had envisioned for our perfect laid-back beach wedding. IRLSS offers a space for your guests to keep their toes in the sand while celebrating. From a ceremony on the beach to a tented reception between the museum and the pole barn, our day was incredibly perfect. The museum offers a tour for your guests as well, which is neat for anyone interested in the history of the area or the Delaware shore in general. Everyone that we interacted with at IRLSS was incredibly thorough and patient with us throughout the process, especially Kayla. Kayla is a ROCKSTAR! Her enthusiasm about our day was genuine and she was there by phone or email the entire time leading up to the big day. On our wedding day, Kayla spent hours setting up, breaking down, and organizing our space. She helped guests, she helped caterers, she helped anyone who needed it. She will treat you like family and truly go above and beyond to make your day the most special it can be. Thank you tremendously, Kayla! -

IRLSS is a truly unique place to host your wedding! We were married there last month and our guests are still raving about how stunning the venue was and how memorable our wedding will be.
We got very lucky with weather (forecast had been calling for thunderstorms all day, but somehow it never even rained), and had an epic sunset! We had 126 guests total and everyone fit perfectly under our tent. It never felt too crowded or cramped, and the flow worked out great. IRLSS has a list of approved vendors, which honestly helped us to narrow down our options (and there are plenty of good ones to choose from their list). There was an air conditioned area for the wedding party to hang out in before the ceremony, and plenty of places for our vendors to set up and store their items that were out of sight. The venue has tons of natural beauty, but also offers the opportunity to get really creative with decor since there's really just the beach, pole shed, and museum to define the space. It's awesome to see how different weddings that have been held there all look!
Kayla was super sweet, responsive and overall, a pleasure to work with. Would definitely recommend this venue to anyone looking to have a beach wedding! -

We got married at the IRLSS this past June and it was absolutely spectacular! We were searching for a venue in Rehoboth that was entirely on the sand and this was the only one we came across. All of our guests were blown away. The museum itself is so beautiful and there are a million spots to take amazing photos. We loved this venue and had no regrets. Kayla the event coordinator was super friendly and responsive and was there to help everything run smoothly. Definitely book this place for your wedding you won't regret it! -

We picked this venue heavily based on the having a beach wedding during sunset hour. The ceremony occurred on the public beach and the reception occurred near the museum. Both were incredible. The venue did a great job communicating with us regularly and the day off, were very accommodating. Would absolutely recommend to anyone interested in a beach wedding! -

If you want to get married on the beach, this is the location for you. The views are breathtaking, you get freedom to choose your vendors, and it is intimate and private. Martina (wedding coordinator) was unbelievably perfect the day of the wedding, helping coordinate all of the vendors together to make it as stress free for us as possible. I wouldn't have wanted to get married anywhere else! -

The Indian River Life Saving Station was everything we could have asked for and more for our wedding venue. Martina was great to work with throughout the planning process and took such good care of us the day of the wedding. The beach ceremony was breathtaking and having the museum as the backdrop to our reception was picture perfect. IRLSS allowed us to have the exact day we wanted, and we couldn’t be happier. -

Wonderful Venue
We could not have asked for a better venue for our amazing day. The Indian River Life-Saving Station delivered on everything we wanted. The venue provides the beach vibe while at the same time providing beautiful history and charm as well. Martina was always very helpful and responsive. -

Chris was incredible to work with-quick to respond to emails, flexible with all of my sometimes crazy ideas, and visible and helpful the entire day of the ceremony! The beach and site is gorgeous, perfect for a beach wedding that is MUCH more private than doing it in town somewhere. -

August wedding
Our wedding was beautiful and so much fun...IRLSS staff was great to work with. The setting is special and we had our wedding in front of the Museum. It was August and it was a hot day but it cooled down as the sun set...many beautiful pictures on the beach and in the museum area; Reception vendors did a great job - food, decor, flowers, tent - Couldn’t have been happier with our choice with this location for our special day! -

The venue books up incredibly quickly so we had to be flexible with a date but we would not have changed thing about our day. The staff was accommodating and quick to answer any inquiries we had. The images online don't do this park justice! We had a perfect beach ceremony and tented/outdoor reception just steps away. We loved it! -

Marissa Sent on 06/27/2012I had a beautiful ceremony and reception here. The beach is gorgeous, the tent and grounds were amazing. The only negative is the long walk over the dune to the beach. Chris was great to work with. So many different places to take pictures- the beach, the dunes, the museum, the bay. i had the wedding i always dreamed of here.
I gave a 3/5 for value because i did feel like it was over priced- and a 3/5 for flexibility because they have strict rules on times when vendors can arrive and when items can be brought and/or removed.
