Perfection from Start to Finish
In Awe Weddings delivered an absolutely flawless wedding at Royal Palms. Sandy planned and executed a day that was truly stunning - every detail felt intentional, elevated, and beautifully cohesive. The entire event flowed seamlessly, and the overall design was just gorgeous from start to finish.
It was such a joy to capture a wedding that felt so thoughtfully put together. Sandy’s work speaks for itself, and I would love to work with her again. -

The best decision we made in the planning process!
Working with Sandy was HANDS DOWN the best decision we made during our planning process. Her professionalism, knowledge and incredible network in the industry made our experience a breeze. She helped us narrow down our venue, negotiate contracts, kept us organized, recommended trusted vendors and helped turn our creative vision into a reality.
We both work demanding jobs and live out of state, so our schedules were tight, but Sandy was incredibly flexible and always found ways to meet us where we were. Whether it was calls, quick check-ins, or reminders to keep us on track, we always felt supported and never overwhelmed. Beyond her skills as a planner, Sandy is just a warm, thoughtful, and incredibly easy person to work with.
She was our biggest advocate behind the scenes, quietly managing logistics so we could be fully present on our big day. I felt completely at ease knowing she was in our corner, ready to handle anything that came up.
Our wedding day itself was absolutely perfect, and nothing beats the feeling of finally seeing all the hundreds of little decisions you made along the way finally come together. Sandy is a class act and the best planner we could’ve asked for! We could not have pulled it off without her. -

Working with Sandy was a dream. Being in a time in our lives where all of our friends are getting married, we've heard a few horror stories about other wedding planners. Working with Sandy could not have been easier! Sandy went above and beyond to give us the day of our dreams. She is EXTREMELY COMMUNICATIVE, RELIABLE, PUNCTUAL, ORGANIZED, KIND, AND FUN!!!! She is everything you would hope for in a planner, and will drill down every last detail until your heart is content. She's got an amazing network of vendors that will help make your day perfect. You could run any idea past her and she would provide context for how we could make it happen. She's done a gazillion weddings, and her experience shows. She will give your wedding day her all. On our wedding day, she walked 12 miles!!!! REAL dedication!!!! Looking back, I can't believe how lucky we are that we found Sandy. She removed the stress from our planning experience and made it so enjoyable. The hardest part of all of it, was when it was over because now we don't have an excuse to talk to her all the time. If you are looking for an exceptional and reliable planner who's been in the industry forever, Sandy is THE person. She will deliver and you will have the BEST day!! -

An Excellent Decision
I avoid writing reviews; however, I offered to write this one for Sandy Walker of In Awe Weddings and Events. Do not hesitate to hire Sandy. It will be your first excellent decision, and she will guide you to many more that will result in your perfect wedding. I just finished my second Mother of the Bride experience with Sandy and have nothing but praise for her excellence. The overriding positive characteristic that Sandy offers is that she actually listens and hears what you are saying regarding your wishes and desires for your wedding and makes them happen. You will have a variety of choices of top-notch vendors from all price ranges, with discounts. You will be offered practical and beautiful ideas that you never thought of, based on her years of experience and awareness of trends. You will be the beneficiary of her insistence on excellence from all vendors at all times. You will think you are her only client based on her responsiveness. You will be relaxed, and enjoy your wedding day, able to concentrate on the important things, and not give a thought to all the hundreds of details that Sandy has prepared for, organized, implemented, and supervised. You will have no regrets, except that you will be sad when it is all over and you realize your working relationship with Sandy has concluded. Amazing Partnership!
Sandy was an amazing partner as we originally hired her before the pandemic she hung with us throughout multiple changes and date reschedules. She made the entire process easy and had great recommendations, was a vital partner in creating our phenomenal wedding day experience. Sandy was such a major asset to my husband and I throughout our entire wedding planning process! She made everything so easy and was always so organized with each meeting. Hire Sandy. Just do it!
I cannot explain how invaluable Sandy and In Awe Weddings for our wedding. We planned our wedding in only 5 months and genuinely would not have been able to do it without her. She keeps on top of everything and knows what decisions need to be made and when and takes so much pressure off of us and our family members. She had exemplary recommendations for all vendors, gave us significant discounts, loaned us specific items so we didn't have to buy them (ie- easels, card holders, clear umbrellas, archway pedestals, etc.) She kept so many things moving smoothly without our having to worry. ABSOLUTELY the best decision we made for our wedding. -

Amazing experience
Copying a review I've posted on another site, but Sandy is the absolute best and one of the many memories my husband and I love from our wedding. We were planning our Sedona wedding from DC and were completely stressed about managing everything from a distance. Sandy's experience, knowledge, and vendor contacts made everything so easy and stress-free for us. Not only that, but we had originally planned our wedding for October 2020 and when we decided to push it back because of COVID, Sandy managed to move the entire event to May 2021 without any problems. Sandy is incredibly sweet, but also really firm and detail-oriented - truly the perfect person to entrust with your wedding. My mom still talks about how hard Sandy and her team worked the day-of to ensure everything went perfectly. Hands down she was the best investment we made in our wedding. -

Amazing Wedding Planner!!
Hire Sandy NOW! Picking her was the best decision we made regarding our wedding, her attention to detail was incredible and the service we received was beyond what we could have imagined.
When we first met with Sandy we were only intending to hire her as a day of coordinator, but after talking with her and seeing how reasonable the pricing was for full wedding planning we decided to hire her for the whole package. Throughout the wedding planning process, Sandy was there to organize every meeting, take care of all of the details and communication with vendors and provide recommendations. Everyone kept asking us how we were dealing with the stress of wedding planning, but there was no stress throughout because Sandy helped take care of so much and was quick to respond to any question or concern that we had. By the time we even had a question she already had the answer for us. Every vendor that she recommended was on point and provided great service the day of, she truly delivered on providing our dream wedding and we could not have done this without her. When working with vendors they all had the same reaction knowing we had Sandy "oh your wedding is going to be great." Everybody loved working with her from us to our vendors to our parents.
Sandy was always there for us and it was because of her that we got to have our dream wedding. Even when plans had to change on the fly day of she was in total control and made sure we had the most amazing day possible. We don't know how we could have done it without her and can't recommend her highly enough. -

I almost can't even describe how happy I am with Sandy's services! I got married on January 11, 2020 at The Boulders. From the moment I first talked to Sandy about my wedding and my vision for my wedding, I was so impressed with her and her work. I know she has multiple events to be planned at any given time, but she made me feel like I was the only wedding she had. Her responses to my emails were incredibly prompt. She helped me identify other vendors, provided me discounts where she could, and helped me stay within my budget. Being from Nebraska and planning a wedding in Arizona, I never once felt anxious or nervous because I knew Sandy has things under control. My day was perfect and I am absolutely in awe and incredibly grateful for all the work Sandy did. I cannot recommend her services enough! -

My daughter, Maureen (the bride) found Sandy. The wedding could not have been better! The guests raved about the catering, vendors etc. All of them were recommendations made by Sandy. Sandy took all the stress out of the equation. We are very pleased!

I can not say enough about how amazing Sandy is! We just had our wedding in Sedona and planned it from Chicago with the help of Sandy. She has a great sense of simple, elegant style. When we visited Sedona in May she set up appointments with all the vendors. She made helpful suggestions but was not offended if you opted not to follow. People kept asking me if I was stressed out - but I really wasn't. I had complete faith in her! She set everything up and took it down. You just show up and have a ball. The wedding turned out amazing! -

Sandy, was so accommodating and easy to work with. Even though we live in Kansas and were planning a wedding in Arizona, she made the planning so easy! She was always available via email and phone to discuss plans, questions, and concerns. She is very organized, and took the stress and worry out of our wedding planning. I trusted her 100% to help guide us on other vendors and what to do when problems arrose days/weeks leading up to the wedding. She made our dream fairytale wedding come true! Her and her niece did a wonderful job, and truly captured the vision we had for our wedding. She is the type of person that truly cares about her clients, their well-being, and happiness. My husband and I live out of state and were worried about planning a wedding from so far away. Sandy was very helpful and accommodating in organizing our vendors, who were all exceptional. Sandy was absolutely amazing and I can't imagine doing the planning without her. She made everything so easy and stress-free for us and was always timely and extremely professional. She definitely goes above and beyond. If we had any questions or were unsure of which route to go, Sandy had the answer. She is extremely knowledgeable and has a lot of experience and expertise she offers. Not only did the planning process seem totally easy, but the day-of was perfect and Sandy was on top of everything so the wedding party and family could just enjoy the day. Sandy Walker of In Awe Weddings was absolutely incredible! She is unbelievably organized, has great vendor contacts/recommendations, and has amazing taste. I never rely overwhelmed with stress because Sandy had everything taken care of. Sandy did an excellent job of listening to our vision for our wedding and executing to make it come to life. If I had to do it all over again I would hire Sandy again in a heartbeat--I can't imagine planning such a huge event without her help. Hiring Sandy was the best money that we spent during the whole wedding process. LOVE HER! -

Sandy Walker was absolutely amazing. Not only is she a lovely person and very pleasant to work with, she is so organized, detail oriented, and creative. She helped pull together the perfect wedding. Since I don't live in AZ it was extremely helpful to have someone in town to be my eyes and ears on the ground. She met and followed up with vendors to make sure all the details were sorted. The day of the wedding she made sure everything went smoothly. She was like the wedding whisperer :) . My husband's boutonniere broke during the ceremony and without even noticing she replaced it while we were at dinner. My bustle broke at one point and Sandy fixed it with her emergency kit. Any issues that came up Sandy handled so that we were able to enjoy our wedding. I would recommend Sandy in a heartbeat. She’s the best! -

Sandy was an absolute pleasure to work with. She really went above and beyond our expectations. In retrospect, it seems crazy to think that we were actually considering whether or not we needed a wedding planner because we had already made many of our wedding decisions and our wedding was not that large. But let me assure you, having a wedding planner/coordinator like Sandy is a necessity. She made the event go off without a hitch and really took a lot of the stress out of the entire process; which allowed us to enjoy the event instead of running around dealing with all the last minute issues that always arise. Additionally, Sandy has such a great reputation with the best vendors that she probably paid for herself with all of the assistance that she got for us. Sandy has excellent taste, so we didn't hesitate to go with any vendor she recommended and we were very happy with them all. She was also able to help us better manage our budget, realigning money where it would be better spent and provide more impact to our day. -

Sandy is wonderful! She is VERY organized, communicates well, was very familiar w/ the vendors we worked with, and yet was also willing to work with new ones that we preferred. Sandy was recommended to me by a friend who is a hair stylist and had worked w/ her in the past... so it was nice to have a vendor's take on her professionalism. She creates an itinerary which is excellent! When you're supposed to be where, who's getting dressed when, when folks arrive for pics, etc. EVERY vendor we spoke w/ had nothing but great remarks for Sandy. She keeps everyone in line and is an absolute pleasure to know professionally and now personally. -

Sandy in the most amazing wedding planner any bride would be lucky enough to work with! For a bride that is planning an entire wedding out of country, you have to trust your planner completely. Sandy not only made me feel completely at ease with everything, she exceeded in every aspect a planner could ever be. She went above and beyond a normal planner's duties, and made our day magical. We had zero stress the entire week of the wedding, as she was on top of everything. She was awesome from beginning to end. I couldn't have done it without her. She did everything and more that I asked. She went above and beyond what I expected and I couldn't have done any of it without her.
She recommended awesome vendors and stick with her list because she doesn't do you wrong. She's their to help you with any questions. Answers email very quickly which I think is always great.
I have so much more and can honestly say if you go with Sandy you won't go wrong! -

From our very first meeting we both fell completely in love with Sandy!!! We gave her our vision and she made every last detail come true. I hear people talk about how stressed out they were planning their weddings and I have no idea what that is all about because I did not experience that in any way. We wanted a modern fairy tale and she helped us get that and so much more! Flowers, drapery, lighting ... even coordinating the delivery and removal of a white rug for our cocktail area. Everything went so smoothly and we could not have asked for anything more. She went above and beyond and was worth every penny ... in fact, I think she sells herself short and is worth so much more! Sandy Walker experience, style and passion are next to none. We planned our wedding in 5 months, so it would have been a challenge not to have a some help. In the beginning, my finace didn't think a coordinator was a necessary expense, but in the end, he thought Sandy was amazing and well worth every penny. From day one, Sandy made me feel like I was the only client she was working with. She calmed my nerves throughout the entire process. She is a true professional. The day of the wedding, I think I may have been the most relaxed bride ever, because I had absolutely no doubt that Sandy had every detail handled (down to the smallest things that most people would never even think of). There really are no words to describe how amazing Sandy Walker is. We had a unique situation in which we had two weddings in two days, one Indian and one American and Sandy was able to make sure everything went perfectly. I am very particular and she uses the best vendors in town. She is very creative and has exquisite taste. For the entire 13 months we worked together it never took her longer than 15 minutes to answer an email, which is a miraculous feat considering I often emailed her several times a day. She is worth so much more than she charges and her daughter Kelsey is delightful as well. -

I would 100% recommend Sandy to any future bride. None of my friends that had gotten married before me had used a wedding planner, so I wasn't sure what to expect, if it would be worth it or if I was just "taking the easy way out". But when we decided to have an out-of-state wedding in Arizona, we thought it best to hire someone local to help us out. Hiring Sandy was, by far, the best decision we made in our entire planning process (my husband agrees with this statement, too!). From reviewing complicated contracts with our venue all the way through decorating our room with rose petals the night of our wedding, Sandy was there for us. She even told me "don't worry, you're my first priority" when her first grandchild was born 3 days before my wedding! I probably emailed her ~50 times/week in the month before our wedding, and she responded (with understanding, and patience!) within minutes to hours of all of them. Every vendor she recommended was professional, reasonably-priced and did a great job. She really became a friend and I miss her now that it's all over! I could honestly say about a million more good things about Sandy!
And her daughter, Kelsey, did all of our paper products and did a beautiful job! I would highly recommend her as well. -

I hired Sandy as a planner for what is considered a destination wedding -my husband and I live in Upstate New York and wanted to get married in my hometown of Phoenix. I could not have made a better decision. Initially I had concerns about how we would work long distance...would she forget about me? Would I be lower priority? Would it feel like MY wedding? Fortunately, she put all of my fears to rest from the very beginning. She is well organized, communicates well, executed my ideas perfectly, and was a dream to work with. I gave her a sense of what I wanted and she was able to help make my vision a reality. We got married on April 8, almost two months ago and people are STILL talking about it! Even my teenage neices and nephews had a blast and are still talking about it. Sandy had great recommendations for vendors, works so well with them all, and it really shows. Everyone is professional and courteous, and really want the couple to be happy. At times I have wondered how she does it all (and sometimes even why!?!). The night of my wedding, I knew. It's so that she can make nights like this happen, where the two families came together and really, truly enjoy themselves. I would have no hesitations at all at hiring Sandy all over again, it was really the best decision I could ever have made. If brides are ever worried about hiring a planner costing too much, having too much input, or being overly involved, then hire Sandy. That is not the case at all with her. I felt like it was my wedding the whole time, and because I was open to her ideas too, things came out so much better than I could have expected. My advice is to hire Sandy if you want a little help organizing, making more time for you to ENJOY it all, great ideas, and a great experience. Her fee is reasonable, and she was so flexible. I cannot say enough good things about Sandy. I truly feel that we will stay in touch in the time to come. She is a very special person, and great to work with! -

In Awe Weddings should really be renamed Incredibly Awesome Wedding Coordinator and Planner!!! Had it not been for the thoughtfulness and guiding hands of Sandy Walker, I’m certain my daughter and now son-in-law’s destination wedding in Phoenix (from Minneapolis MN) would not have been so.
From day one, Sandy had the innate ability to take their thoughts and ideas and translate them into exactly what they wanted to make their day one that not only they would cherish and remember for a lifetime but for each and every guest as well. Every single vendor she recommended was “top of the class” in professionalism, creativity and talent and the results of each of their contributions was amazing. With the vast majority of managing and hammering out all of the details, planning and execution occurring from miles away, her ability to get things going, keep them going and then ending on a beautiful and positive note is a testament in and of itself to her abilities.
When Sandy and I were chatting as the event and evening was coming to a close, she mentioned to me that the true beauty of the wedding event actually rests with the couple, their family and friends. While true, I have to say, it was the genuineness of her character and her true care and concern that lead to wonderful memories that will last forever.

Hiring Sandy was the best decision I ever made. Sandy is sweet, patient, organized, resourceful, and creative. From start to finish, she provided excellent service. She was responsive to every communication and request and truly went above in beyond in so many ways. She is a complete professional, yet she is so warm and caring that she makes you feel like a friend. It's hard to put into words how grateful I am to Sandy. She made our wedding day perfect. Neither us or our families had to worry about a single thing from start to finish. She even did things like run out to get medicine for my little niece who had a fever, and found out what to do with my beloved dog that got sick from chocolate that morning. If you are questioning whether a planner is worth it, I can tell you with confidence that Sandy is worth every single penny. In fact she will SAVE you money. I started planning on my own - getting my own quotes, etc. But Sandy was able to find vendors who were better for less money. In the end, I saved tons and didn't have to worry about anything. Besides, Sandy's rates were very reasonable to begin with. Oh, and my wedding ended up being featured on blogs like StyleMePretty and Bride's Cafe, and I give all the credit to Sandy. She has great taste and made everything so beautiful and perfect. I promise you will not be disappointed if you choose Sandy. She totally exceeded every expectation I had and can't imagine what things would have been like without her. -

As I pined away at our to-do list, I thought to myself, There has to be a better way. Why isnt this as fun and glamorous as it looks in the movies?! In the beginning, there wasnt a doubt in my mind that my mom and I could plan this wedding by ourselves. But we quickly realized the details were all too overwhelming and a year just wasnt enough time to plan a wedding day down to the minute especially with me living a state away and both of us working long hours during the week. I thought I could never afford a wedding coordinator to help us with all the things that had yet to be done, our budget was already busting at the seams
And then, there was Sandy.
Planning a wedding is by far one of the most stressful, trying tasks a couple will choose to undertake, but deciding to work with a coordinator will ensure you and your relationship make it through unscathed provided you choose the right one. Things to consider when hunting for the ideal coordinator: does he/she want to get to know you and your fiancé, does he/she actively listen to your vision and thoughts for your wedding, does he/she try to perfect your ideas? If you can honestly answer yes to these questions, then youve found the perfect one youve met Sandy!
Sure, deciding to work with a coordinator was an added expense; however, Sandy saved us a great deal of money and had us working with vendors whose value and quality were well beyond their modest price. The well established connections she has to put together a team that supports every couples tastes and budget is incredible you will always feel like youre more than a customer and youll know your getting more than your moneys worth. Not only that, but my husband and I were fortunate enough to have two coordinators on the day of our wedding an added bonus for all of Sandys clients - to make sure everything ran smoothly. Sandys daughter Kelsey was a huge help when it came to staying on schedule and making sure everything was just right. In addition to helping Sandy direct weddings, Kelsey is the creative mind behind Flossy Stylish Design, crafting beautiful custom wedding stationary from place cards and menus, to invitations and ceremony programs. To work with this mother-daughter duo is one of the best, and easiest, decisions you could make.
Its not to say that having a coordinator will completely rid the wedding planning process of all possible blunders, but working with a planner can relieve much of the stress and help you keep the most important things in perspective. A wedding day is about a lifelong commitment that two individuals make to one another; all that surrounds it simply enhances the moment. Well, my husband and I made our commitment, and all of our surroundings were quite impressive. Sandy Walker did a spectacular job coordinating our winter-themed wedding and I could not be more thankful. Our guests were in awe of every detail from our wedding day, and they continue to compliment Sandy on a job exceptionally well done!
From the bouquet to the table setting, it goes without saying that a bride will change her mind countless times. Working with a patient coordinator who gives you confidence in your decisions will allow you to rest easier as the days before your wedding begin to quickly pass by. I wish we could say that we knew exactly what we wanted for our wedding, that we knew where every decoration would be placed and every candle lit. But we didnt. It was more the feeling of having a hodge-podge of ideas, and Sandy was there to make sense of it all and put together an event that was uniquely ours. The flowers arrived at just the right time when they would open to their ideal blossom as I walked down the isle, the ceremony began moments before the sunset creating the most beautiful glow on my husband and me as we recited our vows, and the receptions grand entrance of all those in the wedding party was perfectly planned to where each pair would enter with a song playing that reflected their personality. All of this could be seamlessly done by only someone who has outstanding organizational skills and enough experience to know what works - that is Sandy Walker.
You can always tell when someone is passionate about what they do, and its amazing to watch them do what they love, making the process and end result look absolutely flawless. When it comes to planning a wedding Sandy Walker of In Awe Weddings & Events is surely one of the valleys best talents; her skills and enthusiasm are arguably the greatest you could ever hope for and find in a coordinator. -
