Absolutely Incredible

We would like to thank Jd and Ignite Lighting and Entertainment for all of their work and organization. As I am trying to find the right words to express our gratitude, I am getting emotional. We had the best time celebrating at our wedding and thanks to Jd everything exceeded my expectations. It is absolutely amazing how well he relates to their clients and sees the client's vision so clearly. It was truly a dream. I had no worries on my mind that day as I knew Jd had everything under control. He is truly amazing at what he does.

The compliments we received from our guests were out of this world. All of our guests said Jd was so professional and they were blown by how fun the dance was. Many of our guests said it was one of the more memorable weddings they have attended, thanks to Jd! The quality of service is not like anything and anyone else. We feel so blessed that Jd was a part of our day. I will never be able to truly thank them enough. I would highly recommend Ignite Lighting and Entertainment!

Absolutely Perfect- Exceeded my Expectations!

JD is very professional, personable and excellent at what he does! His unique ideas gave our wedding one of a kind. The amount of times we heard our guests commenting about our DJ is not even countable. JD also provided lighting for our venue. This made the venue look completely different than ever before! JD is so patient and accommodating with any wants of the bride and groom. I recommend him 100%. He is absolutely worth every penny! The DJ can either make or break your wedding and he made our wedding the best!

Best experience EVER!

Where to begin with JD! Truly an amazing man and DJ. My fiancé and I had no worries at all with planning our wedding with the help of JD. He helped us pick out songs, helped with our introductions, gave us suggestions on certain things. He helped with anything he could the day of our wedding so we wouldn't have to worry! He was outstanding! The whole night of our wedding he just made everything perfect! He kept the crowd engaged and he also would get guests moving on where they needed to go. He had a smile on his face the whole entire time he was there working. Very professional. Very personable. I'm sad that we are done working with him and trying to figure out when we can have him as our DJ again! Highly RECOMMEND to anyone for any occasion!

Personable and Flawless! You can’t go wrong!

I cannot say enough good things about this vendor. Ignite Lighting and Entertainment gave what was expected and more! JD Fisher is more than just a DJ. He is the most personable person I have ever met. He was very easy to work with and relates to the crowd with the same ease. His presentation was innovative and flawless. The dance floor was never empty and everyone (and I mean EVERYONE) loved him. He helped make our daughter and SIL’s special day even more special by personalizing their day in a way that really made it feel like their own. I highly recommend this vendor. You cannot go wrong with him.

Elegant! Transformative! Fun!!

JD and his Ignite Event Group put the final elegant touches on our daughter's wedding ceremony, dinner, and celebration! And the fun started when the lighting transformed from quiet sophistication to warm energy to whatever we wanted along with the music and dancing! JD was a pleasure to work with from the moment we met him at the tasting, to making the arrangements for the big day, to the very end after the celebration! The professional yet very personalized service went above and beyond expectations! There needs to be an exclamation mark after every sentence because that's what he brought to the event!! The portability of the magnetic attachments coupled with the battery operation (with a fun remote!) allowed for almost infinite possibilities for lighting. The wedding venue and the wedding itself would not have been the wonderful success it was without Ignite Lighting! Thank You, JD!

Wedding Ceremony and Reception

Between JD’s lighting equipment, along with his talent and vision, and our florist, the venue was transformed into a magical and elegant event, far beyond anything we could have hoped for. JD worked with us to customize our grand entrance and first dance. The voice over piece used for our first dance filled the room with tears of joy and the music/entertainment kept the dance floor filled all night long. We heard many comments from guest about the level of professionalism, yet fun and genuine personality, JD brought to the event. He truly is a Master of Ceremonies!

JD is a small business owner that really cares about his clients, and delivers your wedding the way you want it to a T. He is absolutely a master of ceremonies. He is willing to give as much or little input into planning, and has excellent tools to help you plan your day and event which was a nice surprise. He helps you with your timeline and music choices, and everything in between with his additional offerings such as up lighting and indoor safe firework sparklers which is a new offering that my wife and I loved at our wedding!

If we could give JD more stars, we would! We can't say enough great things about JD at Ignite Lighting and Entertainment! From day one when we met him at a wedding fair, he was genuine and wanted to get to know us and our vision of our wedding day, and even offered some creative input on how to make our day "ours". JD was always kind, friendly, personable, and very professional. My wife and I decided to combine our last names and create a new one, revealing our new last name during our unity ceremony. JD came up with the creative idea to use scrabble tiles on a board to reveal this - we loved the idea and used it in our ceremony! Numerous wedding guests gave compliments on how great he was, and they continue to talk about him and our wedding day. JD fit right in and kept the music and positive energy flowing all night, and his uplighting was beautiful and brought our wedding atmosphere to the next level! Again, we could go on and on with how outstanding JD is, but bottom line is we recommend him 110% - you won't regret it!

VERY happy customer

JD hosted Lee's and my wedding this 2018 at Grand View Lodge. We VERY much appreciated having him as our DJ & entertainer! Having JD as a part of our day was one of the best choices!
Everything went off without a hitch. When we got our photos back, his awesome lighting really set the moods and showed up well in pics, and I have great memories of the songs we picked and excitedly thumbs-upping when he played them.
We just got tons of compliments on his good music, professionalism, how he kept people dancing, and in general so many people mentioned how nice he is. If you are stressed about planning or worried about decisions in general, let this be the BEST decision you have made. Book him if you can, he will help make your event perfect!!

JD was an absolute pleasure to work with for lighting. It can be frustrating navigating the wedding industry and it's so refreshing to find vendors like him who truly care and provide real value in their services. JD went above and beyond from our very first phone call. He was familiar with our venue and advised me honestly on his lighting recommendations based on my budget. He even met us during our tasting for a test run to show us exactly what the lighting would look like for both the ceremony and the reception. Talk about good service! On our wedding day, we were blown away by the elegant sophistication the lighting added to the ballroom - it truly would not have looked the same without it. Highly highly recommend!!

I cannot rave enough about JD! Looking back, the vendors are truly such a big part of your day and my husband and I could not have been more pleased with JD. Not only is he amazing on the big day (I had absolutely nothing to worry about other than enjoying my wedding)--he is amazing and there with you throughout the entire planning process. He works with you to bounce ideas and try and personalize your wedding--whether it includes his duties or not--he just wants you to have the best day possible. He is organized to the tee--which is huge! He invests in products (such as technology) that help make the things he needs from you as a couple be organized and flexible, keeping everything low stress. He is always trying to add to his knowledge and be a better tool for his clients. In addition, his lighting services are as top notch as his DJ'ing. Our day was amazing and magical and it was because of JD! He did the most amazing job, but more importantly, he goes above and beyond music. He brought in the most amazing lighting that completely transformed our venue! He's so personable and friendly and just so fun to work with! He pumped our guests and kept them on the dance floor all night long. I can't say enough wonderful things about JD. I would hire him again in a second and I would strongly recommend him to anyone looking for a professional, fun, outgoing, energetic DJ who adds way more value than music. :)

JD is ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC! He deserves 5 stars for all 5 categories in this review. We simply can't thank him for everything he did to truly make our wedding day unique and special! We had an ALL outdoor wedding with a large tent for the reception and JD's ability & expertise with lighting certainly helped elevate the esthetics within the tent. He was able to produce a distinguished and unique look specific to our theme. JD is also an exceptional DJ/Master of Ceremonies and kept everyone on the dance floor all night (and beyond). He made certain that our day ran smoothly from the rehearsal all the way to the final dance – always keeping his finger on the pulse and never missing a beat. JD remained in contact with all of our other vendors – keeping everyone on the same page as well as always keeping in contact with us (the clients) throughout our entire planning process. He is worth every penny that you spend on him and goes above and beyond. Because of JD, we had our dream wedding. He really made our day fantastic and we can't thank him enough for that and for alleviating a TON of stresses!

JD was professional, knowledgeable, personable, and so wonderful to work with! Planning a wedding can be stressful but JD helped make it all less stressful. As your DJ, JD is basically your host for the entire reception...he runs the show so the bride and groom can just sit back and relax! If I could give 10 stars, I would. JD is ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC at his job. I can't express enough how amazing he is at lighting and also at DJing (which we hired him for both). From the beginning, we were sold. He is so creative and such an amazing guy. He made our wedding stick out from others, hands down. The day of our wedding, he made sure everything ran smoothly and was always in contact with whoever needed to do what at that time. He is very organized as well. He also kept everyone on the dance floor all night. He was in contact with other vendors and always kept in contact with us (the clients) throughout our entire engagement. He is worth every penny that you spend on him and I would do it again in a heartbeat. Because of JD, we had the best wedding. He really made our day fantastic and we can't thank him enough!

JD provided excellent service for my husband Tom and I. We couldn't be more pleased with his attention to our desire to have a unique ceremony. Which is fantastic considering, everyone would prefer a unique ceremony catered to their style! JD guided us through our wedding ceremony, helping us with music selection for our taste, and timing for certain aspects, like my unique walk down the aisle. Both Tom and I were nervous to be at the center of attention with so many friends and family present, when we began talking to JD we had no idea what we wanted, with his help we were able to figure out exactly what we wanted and were able to see that come to light on our wedding day. JD was simply amazing! He was so helpful and available during our entire wedding planning process by both e-mail or text. We had a few meetings with him where he gave us great ideas and inspiration to make our day special and personal. He attended our final walk through of our space with us to make sure he was all ready for the big day. He even went over to my parents home to help record a special surprise from my Mom to me. JD was the best DJ we could have ever hoped for! He was extremely friendly, professional, creative, and reliable from the moment we met him to the very end of our reception. Hiring JD for our wedding was truly the best decision we made throughout this entire process. He is professional, knowledgable, responsive, articulate, and had so many great ideas for us to choose from to make our reception stand out. We could not have asked for a better DJ than JD! From the first moment we met him we knew JD was the person we wanted at our wedding! He is very personable, organized and has years of experience. He made the wedding planning process easier for us and went above and beyond the normal duties of a DJ. He met with us multiple times and we were able to message him with any questions or ideas we had. He helped us make our wedding unique and personal to us. He even helped us create a personalized slideshow and monogram. The actual day of the wedding he helped direct the flow of the wedding and brought so much personality to the party! The lighting he provided was also beautiful and really showed off the exposed brick we had at our venue. We HIGHLY recommend Ignight lighting and entertainment for your wedding!

JD was awesome. He was recommended to us by some friends who had been very pleased with his services and we were not disappointed. Our initial meeting was via skype which was extremely convenient. From the first meeting onwards he was flexible and responsive. We had met with several entertainment/dj options and JD was the only one that didn't give off a fake morning host feeling. He is personable and extremely easy to work with. Throughout the whole process he answered our questions and was great at reminding us when things were due. As the date approached he was a great resource and a source of comfort as we new the music was taken care of. The Day of the wedding he was a rock star as well. He smoothly handled a few curve balls and was great at communicating without being intrusive. We had initially been hesitant to use some of his lighting options but we were extremely glad we had as they looked amazing. Overall I could not recommend Ignite more.

My wife and I are beyond happy we chose JD as our master of ceremonies and DJ. He is very professional, intelligent, and passionate about his work. From assisting us with the reception timeline to helping us plan and create ideas to make our reception fun and memorable, JD is hand down the best. He was always quick to respond when we had questions about anything. We met with JD 4 or 5 time before our wedding day, and he was always very well prepared and left us with no worries on his end. The website that JD provides to the bride and groom is a phenomenal tool. It is very easy to use and works great for communicating with JD. You can make changes anytime to the timeline and include any special requests that you might have. I was very impressed how JD can organize the timeline down to the minutes. The lighting that JD has available was second to none! From the color lights on the walls to the pin lights on our centerpieces, he lit the room and set the mood for the whole event. We also chose a customized monogram from him that displayed on the wall behind the head table, which was a very nice touch. He has so many options and ideas to make your wedding personal and stand out from the norms of weddings. We have gotten so many compliments on the job that he did for us that day. I wouldn't recommend anyone other than JD. He knows everything there is to know about planning a wedding reception and knowing how to make it a fun night for everyone! He had every song that we wanted played, unlike others who give the "I don't have that song on my playlist" excuse. If you are looking for a professional DJ then Ignite Lighting is the only one to choose. You will not be disappointed and it will be money well spent!! Thanks JD!

This is a little late (October 17, 2015) but I remember what an amazing job JD did for our wedding like it was yesterday!! We meet JD when we were looking at a venue and he just happened to be there setting up for another wedding. We put him on the spot by asking to speak with him. We were blown away! I remember telling my now husband how impressed and blown away i was! And if he was this good on the fly can you imagine how good he is when he is prepared?!

First the lighting was so beautiful and was really all we needed for decorations for both the ceremony and reception. He made sure the color was just right and the patterns were spot on. He even had a colored strobe light so the kids could have their own little rave! JD did our music and mics for our ceremony and reception. It was so well timed and crystal clear. Not going to lie, I was a little nervous about the cost initially, but JD came so highly recommended that we had to meet him. From our first meeting, we knew it was a done deal. He was very easy to talk to, asked all the right questions, did not pressure us in any way, and you could tell that he seriously loves his job. My husband and I wanted someone we could tell what we wanted, but was experienced enough that we didn't have to work out every little detail. JD helped us with the timeline, worked out those little details, made awesome suggestions when we asked, and offered to do pretty much everything! He played our ceremony, cocktail, dinner, and dancing music, with little guidance, and we loved everything he played! He also did our uplighting, worked with our photographer to get those group pictures we wanted, and even borrowed us GoPro batteries because we only had one for ours. And the wow the feedback I heard from our family and friends! They wanted to know where we found him because they just thought he did such a great job keeping the day/night moving and entertaining! I could go on and on. He was well worth the money we spent and I HIGHLY recommend him! Oh, and his client website is SO helpful and easy to use in all the planning! It was all just so GREAT!

I would HIGHLY recommend booking Ignite for your wedding DJ! We got a chance to work with JD Fischer, and he was completely amazing! He met with us a few different times to make sure everything would be perfect. He gave us multiple ideas for things to do, created beautiful lighting, and the music was perfect! The website planning tools are extremely useful and make everything very easy. On the wedding day/night, everything was perfect! JD came to me a few times throughout the night to make sure the music was okay and to ask if there were any songs that hadn't been played yet that I wanted to hear. JD was amazing to work with! We got married labor day weekend and JD made our day so special! He incorporated all of the traditional and personal touches we requested and had so many of his own ideas that we loved and asked to incorporate. He was very responsive to emails and questions we had throughout the year we were planning and even went to check out the venue ahead of time to familiarize himself with the audio/video equipment they had so he knew what to bring on the wedding day.
We had so many compliments about how much everyone loved the music and the special personal touches JD helped us with, such as the grand entrance roast of the wedding party.

JD was amazing. We knew we wanted him at our wedding the first meeting we had with him. His personality is awesome. He had so many ideas to make our wedding the wedding we always dreamed of, and unique ideas to add to our wedding. He truly cares about your big day. He took the time to meet with us face to face, and via Skype multiple times to ensure all details were captured. He provides you a link to a website to customize your wedding, add song requests, etc. He always got back to me quickly. We also had a monogram through him which we picked out, and he did up-lighting at our venue and that was the perfect finishing touch. Also, there was a wedding at our venue the night before ours, but JD made sure to get in there at midnight when the other wedding got over to set up for ours to make sure everything was perfect. There are so many AMAZING things to say about Ignite Lighting & Entertainment that I don't know where to begin!!!! First and foremost, JD is so much more than just a DJ. JD was professional, detail oriented, listened & communicated well, and was a blast to work with!! He did music and was master of ceremony for our ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner, and dance, as well as up lighting at our venue. There are SO many great things to say about working with JD of Ignite Lighting & Entertainment!! Shortly after getting engaged, my fiance and I met with JD so he could meet us, get a feel for what we were looking for, and explain the various services he offers. It was during this meeting that we were first blown away by JD. Not only was he extremely professional, but also tremendously creative and willing to do whatever he could to deliver the vision we had for our wedding. As an overly organized individual, I personally can’t say enough about what a dream it was to work with JD throughout the planning process. He was easy going, personable, always quick to respond to emails, available for meetings, whether in person or via skype, and his online wedding planner made keeping track of every little detail so easy. He was able to help us keep track of things I know we would have overlooked without his help. For us, two of the most important things about our wedding reception were that it was personal and memorable. With this in mind, JD helped us integrate multiple personal touches into our reception, including crafting individual introductions for each wedding party member, explaining to the group why we chose our first dance song, and helping us come up with a unique “kissing” game. While all of the personal touches helped create a memorable experience in itself, JD’s lighting and DJing were the icing on the cake. The lighting helped to completely transform the venue and make it our own. As far as DJing, he was able to read the crowd and play the right music (from the classics, throwback college hits, country, special requests and everything in between) all night to keep everyone on the dance floor. It was packed the entire time and even after the last song people wanted him to play just one more. JD over exceeded my expectations in every way & because of this I would highly recommend him to everyone!

If we were to use the term excellent for JD that would NOT do justice! He is the best possible DJ and master of ceremonies you could ever ask for. Finding music for your wedding is easy. Finding someone that spends the amount of work and effort to make your special day amazing is not! The lighting was amazing! The music was amazing! Top notch gear and he will accommodate ANYHING you need. The lights and music are minor compared to everything else you get with JD. Planning a wedding is stressful. JD was wonderful! We couldn't have asked for a better DJ. He was very attentive and flexible regarding all of our unique requests. He was so much fun and kept the party going all night. JD is the absolute best. He played a key role in creating the day of my dreams! It was a day I will never forget and I would recommend him to anyone. JD is simply the best - we couldn't have asked for a better Master of Ceremonies and DJ. He is professional, organized, experienced, and just an all-around nice guy! When we were looking for our DJ, we hired him to play music for our ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner, & reception. We also hired him for uplighting for our venue and for a photobooth. He gave us so many great ideas (including our unity ceremony "Locking Our Love"), custom mixed our first dance & bridal march, and helping our weird family traditions make sense within our reception. We had a few "untraditional" ideas - having the "first dance" not actually as the first dance and the father/daughter dance on rollerskates, just to name a couple. He was all in and encouraged us to do whatever we wanted. My fiance forgot to bring the grand entrance introductions we put together to the wedding with him and JD was SO resourceful and quizzed the bridesmaids and groomsmen about each other - they actually turned out really cool. The dance floor was PACKED all night.
The photobooth ended up not working out, but rather than telling us he wasn't able to provide it and leave it at that, he went absolutely above and beyond and hired another photobooth company for us; he coordinated everything! It was very unexpected and we were so impressed and grateful for all of his help.
Not only is he an amazing DJ (and person!), but he did custom uplighting in our venue to match our wedding colors (plum and pear green). Seriously, he thinks of everything... he put green behind the head table since all of the girls would be in the plum color he wanted people to be able to see them.
I could honestly write a whole book about how great JD is, but WeddingWire limits me :) We had so many compliments on our DJ - my dad hasn't stopped saying how impressed he was with JD. We were so privileged to have him part of our "Team Awesome" and even more so to call him a friend :) Thank you for everything, JD!!

Working with JD was such a positive experience. We went into our first meeting with no idea what we wanted, but we left with so many ideas and professional advice. JD was a phenomenal DJ! He was very accommodating, kind, patient and responsive. His excitement and enthusiasm on the day of our wedding was great and he kept our dance floor packed until midnight. From the first meeting with JD, I knew I wanted him to be the "master of ceremonies". He would be the one to make sure everything ran smoothly. JD was familiar with the venue and answered questions about how things ran there, offered suggestions since he had been there before. On the day of, he helped entertain the kids while the rest of us were busy rushing around. The kids were in awe of the DJ. JD helped change things up for a surprise entrance, let the guests mix it up behind his stand and was ready to help with anything. JD of Midwest Entertainment was truly a master of ceremonies at our wedding. Beyond keeping our dance floor PACKED through the very last song, his charisma and professionalism really showed as he guided our guests through the evening's events. Choosing the right DJ was important to us and we're SOOOO glad we went with Midwest Entertainment.

He provided music beginning with the ceremony prelude through the end of the reception. He was a pleasure to work with during the planning process and very good at keeping us on track. He's extremely organized and the planning portal was awesome for making sure the songs important to us (and our guests!) would be played. He helped us make our wedding our own with ideas that truly made our day personal.

We also used Midwest Entertainment for their event lighting. It was beautiful and really brought our decor together.

JD was the best wedding DJ we could have asked for! He was very accommodating to our chaotic schedule and all the other moving parts of making a wedding happen. When we were confused about any step of the wedding planning/process or needed direction he always provided great suggestions that best fit our specific personalities and was able to as he spent genuine time and effort to get to know us.

Not only was he amazing with everything before the wedding but the wedding was a blast as well! He did a great job of knowing the dance floor in order to keep it lively while still taking many requests from guests. At every step of the process he went above and beyond to make sure that we had the best wedding possible with as little as stress as possible.

In addition to all this he is just a great all around guy that is very friendly and nice to work with. I would recommend him to anyone.

JD asked us in our first meeting to use three words we wanted our guests to use when describing our wedding, and through the process of having JD as our Master of Ceremonies and DJ, we found three words to describe him: professional, supportive, and creative!

He was unbelievably professional! He responded promptly to emails and made time to meet with us personally. At the wedding, many guests commented to us how professional JD was in his suit! Our guests also loved his fun personality and he was very courteous of their requests. He served as a Master of Ceremonies and kept the night running smoothly to our plan. JD was also very supportive in helping plan our wedding. Many friends of ours are getting married and through our conversations with them, I've learned how much JD helped us in planning a great wedding! He isn't just a guy who plays classic hits, he has the experience and knows what works! He helped us plan our whole reception from start to finish! It felt great and took so much stress off of us! We were confident in JD helping us throw our party, and even when I got scared that I wasn't ahead of planning our day or our wedding wasn't special, JD came through and helped ease my nerves! You can't put a price on that when planning the biggest party of your life! JD was open to our ideas and helped us incorporate our lives into the party. He has many creative ideas that helped open our eyes and "wow-ed" our guests. He suggested a video love story that had the whole place crying! He also helped us write introductions for our wedding party and run our sports gauntlet kiss activity! JD also provided lighting for the event that helped pull everything together! Many guests commented on how fancy the venue looked with his lighting techniques. His creativity was essential in helping us throw our party that was memorable, classy, and fun!

JD was professional and amazingly helpful all throughout the process. He took the extra time to meet with us multiple times before our wedding to ensure everything we wanted was able to be incorporated. The day of the wedding, he wasn't just a guy behind a box selecting music. He suited up, got everyone pumped up and included, and kept the floor going right to the very end. We could not have asked for a better entertainer for our wedding!

There isn't much more we can say than what has already been said in the 100 + reviews.

To save you some time here is a summary:
1) JD is the best Master of Ceremonies
2) Helpful, insightful, Extremely knowledgable, truly caring, charismatic, are only a few words to describe how great he is!
3) Book him and have the peace of mind knowing your guests will be on the dance floor all night, and he will make sure everything runs smoothly! (We got married on a lake and no one wanted to go back inside for the dance, so he moved the dance outside in 10 min!)

The only issue is to get ready to be "annoyed" with all of the people asking you after your wedding who your DJ was because they had SO MUCH FUN! :)

JD provided us with DJ/music (ceremony, reception, & dance), lighting, and MC services for our wedding at the Enchanted Barn on May 9, 2015. We could not be happier that we decided to book JD and have him play such an integral role in our wedding day! Not only did we think JD was awesome, but many of our guests, our wedding party members, and our officiant were all very complementary of him. JD is the perfect mix of professional and fun. Through a few face-to-face meetings, his detailed client portal, and many e-mails, he took the time to get to know us prior to the wedding day and provided a very personalized service. JD helped us create several fun, personal touches for our wedding day, coordinated the movement of our guests, helped with our day of rehearsal/walk through, MC’ed our entire reception, played all of our requested music (while still accommodating song requests from our guests), snapped a bunch of good photos, took several hours of video, and so much more. He even drove two of our guests back to Rick Lake (well out of his way) because they missed the final shuttle bus at midnight. If you book JD and Midwest Entertainment for your wedding, we promise you will not be disappointed!

JD (Midwest Entertainment) is beyond amazing! After meeting with him it did not take us long to know that we wanted him to help us celebrate our day. He was right there the entire time through all the planning between e-mails and meetings. His ideas are extremely fun and will also let you be creative on something that is important to you. He even helped my vocalist get music set up as well. After two weeks our parents, wedding party and guests are still saying that our wedding was the most memorable weddings they have ever been to, and that is a huge THANK YOU to JD. I would recommend Midwest Entertainment to everyone!

JD (Midwest Entertainment) was hands down amazing, and if I ever have a large event in the future we will be requesting his services again! From our initial meeting through the big day, JD was with us every step of the way, he was willing to meet as often as needed to review details, record audio, tour our reception venue and more. I was blown away by his prompt response time and professionalism (all my friends said they never heard from their DJ's till the day of the wedding, we were so lucky to have selected Midwest Entertainment)! Not only did JD take the time to get to know us as a couple, but he caught our vision for our big day and ran with it, taking loads of work and worry off my plate. Our guests were on the dance floor all night long and we couldn't stop smiling as we received numerous texts the the following day from friends who were 'so sore' from dancing the night away! I would highly recommend JD and Midwest Entertainment!

There are so many good things to say & he’s so much more than a DJ. From the first time we met JD, he went above & beyond our expectations. He took the time to get to know us & everything that we wanted for our perfect day. JD is professional, communicates well & is organized. He came to the table w/so many unique ideas to make our wedding unforgettable & personalized to us. In fact, our guests are still talking about some of those ideas & we are still getting compliments on him to this day!
JD supplied us w/a perfect setup and a smooth flow to our day from beginning to end. He takes his role as Master of Ceremonies very seriously & takes responsibility for coordinating w/the other vendors. He tailored the music exactly as we had asked (& at the perfect sound level) before/during the ceremony, throughout dinner & all the way thru dancing the night away. The wedding party intros were fun & unique. The slideshow was original & perfect. We definitely encourage anyone considering JD to inquire about those.
We can’t say enough good things about his uplighting either. JD took 1 of the things that concerned us the most, the mustard-colored walls of our venue, & made everything match our wedding colors perfectly. It was amazing & absolutely beautiful. The photo booth was like none we had ever seen before either.
JD is very passionate about what he does & we felt that he cared about our day being perfect as much as we did. He gets the small things right in addition to the big things. As soon as we decided JD would be a part of our wedding day, we knew that our wedding would be exactly what we wanted & felt so relieved of any stress. That’s another big reason we chose JD... we knew exactly who would be there for us on the big day. He’s never missed an event & he has contingency plans in place for anything that may arise. JD is reliable & when you choose him as your Master of Ceremonies, that’s 1 part of the day you will not have any worries about!

Jd did an AMAZING job with our uplighting and entertainment at our wedding in September! The number one thing my husband and I wanted was a dj that kept everyone one the dance floor and boy did he deliver! His professional demeanor, innovative ideas and training, in addition to his awesome energy leading up to and throughout our special day was amazing. I would highly recommend Jd to ANY couple! JD is nothing short of AMAZING! I was impressed the first time I met him. He was so professional and truly wanted to give you the experience you wanted for your wedding. It was not about him putting on a show, it was about him creating the night you dreamed of. He helped make our wedding an unforgettable experience and he worked hand-in-hand with our other vendors. My husband and I were a little curious how our dance would be because we had a lot of family coming from Brazil and they did not speak the language. JD incorporated Brazilian music into the dance and EVERYONE enjoyed it! By the end of the night the majority of the music he was playing was Brazilian music. JD really understands what the crowed wants and he has an amazing way of keeping everyone on the dance floor. Thank you to JD for making our wedding everything we wanted and more! My new husband and I had JD as our DJ as well as our master of ceremonies and lighting! I cannot say more positive things about our experience with him. He is first and foremost a wonderful, nice, accommodating person who genuinely wants to make your day be as perfect (and run as perfectly) as you want it to. He takes the extra time to meet with you and make sure he has covered each and every aspect of your special day... He not only does the "DJ" part (when talking about music) but he also does the "master of ceremony" part where he makes every portion of your night run as smoothly and effortlessly as possible! He also did the lighting for our wedding reception at Aria in Minneapolis!! To say he exceeded our expectations and vision is a complete understatement! JD is the full package and I couldn't recommend him more, or with a higher regard!

JD with Midwest Entertainment was everything we wanted in a DJ. He was extremely professional every time we met with him yet also showed an enthusiasm for his craft and for our wedding. JD even bent over backwards to help us put together a top-notch slideshow at the last minute after we encountered some technical difficulties the week of the wedding. Midwest Entertainment also provided uplighting for our wedding and, while we debated whether or not we wanted it during planning, it proved to be a great addition which helped create the ambiance we were searching for, with minimal interaction on our part.

JD was excellent during the reception as he guided us through our schedule swiftly and with a friendly and personable presence. We also received rave reviews on JD's performance from family and friend of all ages. Some remarked that it was the "danciest" wedding they'd ever attended!

We would highly recommend JD and Midwest Entertainment for your wedding day needs!

Midwest Entertainment and Event Lighting is amazing to work with! My fiance and I were contacted by them immediately and asked to set up an in-person meeting. My fiance was a little apprehensive at first, but within the first five minutes of meeting, I could tell that we would end up booking Midwest Entertainment. After an hour an a half meeting, my fiance was asking to sign a contract and any other paperwork. Not only does Midwest provide music and entertainment, but there are many other additional services you can request, such as lighting, videos, etc. Midwest is also not like any other DJ. They go above and beyond, meeting with you many times before the wedding to get to know you, and make the wedding as personal and fun as possible. Midwest will contact every other vendor you are working with before the wedding to coordinate and make sure that everything will run smoothly and guests will constantly be entertained. (Almost like a mini wedding planner). Midwest is a bit more on the expensive side, but definitely worth it as you are paying for much more than just a DJ. Highly recommend.

I wish I could give higher ratings! I've always believed a DJ could make or break a wedding and JD MADE our wedding. Our guest loved him, and our dance floor was full from the first song to the last. He made us feel like his first priority and rolled with any creative curve balls I could come up with last minute. I would choose him as our DJ over and over! We would both very highly recommend him!

JD helped us make our wedding day unforgettable. We hired him to be in charge of the music at our ceremony (outside) and up-lighting and music at the reception (located 45 mi away from each other). He had lots of great ideas on how to make our wedding day unforgettable and mostly an elegant and classic celebration. He always was helpful in finding solutions with whatever circumstance that had arisen (that were both planned and unplanned). It was great working with JD, who is a true "Master of Ceremonies," and we are so glad we spent the extra $$ for having him help us plan the timing of our big day/ provide up-lighting/ providing music and making sure everything ran smoothly.

My husband and I live in Seattle but got married in northern WI. We weren't sure what to do about reception music, since it seems like a lot of DJs in that area include oldies, slow dances, & country, and that's not really our style. We found JD @ Midwest Entertainment through WeddingWire.

We had an initial in-person meeting with JD when we were visiting the area over Christmas (everything else was done through email and Skype). After that meeting, we felt really confident in his abilities and professionalism.

JD offers a host of services, but we just wanted a pretty basic dance party. We also asked him to record our string quartet playing during the ceremony, and he was happy to oblige.

Overall, he did a stellar job. Of all our vendors, he was the one we had to worry about the least. He was super organized and seemed to "get" us. He kept people on the dance floor all night, and did a great job of reading the room. Over a month later, we're still getting comments from our guests about how well JD did. Money well spent!

We can't describe in words the time and true care that JD put into not only MC'ing the night, but through meeting with us and help us plan every minor detail of our wedding day. If we had an idea, JD had a suggestion to make it better, and we couldn't have asked for a better DJ on our day. I've honestly never been at a wedding where there were consistently 100 people on the dance floor until the very last song. He showed up early and stayed late -- that's just the type of guy that he is. The care and genuine helpfulness he showed from the time we first met with him until after our wedding was immaculate and I challenge any DJ in the area to compare. We couldn't have asked for a better DJ, new friend, and colleague to be a part of our day, and would recommend him to any person, any time. He's worth it!!!

J.D. was amazing and he was always on top of things. There were a few hiccups the day of the wedding (my fault of course) and Jd was always there with a back up or an alternative approach! Where do I even start, having Jd as our dj was the best decision we made throughout our entire wedding planning process. Not only was he our dj, I felt that he was the one person that kept me sane an basicaly made our entire wedding run smoothly throughout the whole day. For example, at our rehearsal Friday night before the wedding our sound tech didn't show up, Jd brought his own equipment so we could still do walk through with the music. Also, Jd was willing to scan all of our pictures in to make our slide show because we had difficulty at sams club. He went through all the hassle to make our slide show amazing from baby pictures, to growing up, an us as a couple. Jd truly went above an beyond to make our day so special, from the love story, to the up lighting, the slide show, the games, and much more. Midwest entertainment is not just traditional dj he shows so much professionalism and pride in his work. He goes out of his way to drive an meet with couples as many times as they wish to make there day extremely special. He has so many unique and creative ideas, such as the VoiceOvers that touch the special peoples lives at your ceremony. Our guests could not believe how great of a job he did an all of them said they will always remember our reception. JD was both our DJ for the evening and the master of ceremonies. He was more than prepared upon our initial meeting, providing us with great ideas, a typical timeline of events, and suggestions for any vendors we may have needed. Each additional meeting he continued to provide great suggestions and feedback, while allowing us to make every decision that we thought would be best.

The night of the wedding many guests came up and complimented us on his service and etiquette. We asked him to play songs that would keep the guests dancing all night long, and our dance floor was never empty!

JD is very easy to contact and get along with, and went above and beyond to make this day truly memorable! A few of our guests even came up and asked for his information so they could use him for future events. We also made use of his uplighting service, which added an additional 'pop' to our reception! We are extremely pleased with his services as our DJ and highly recommend him.

JD Fisher was one of the best decisions I made for my wedding. He did music and uplighting for my ceremony, in between period between ceremony and reception and reception. I wish we could give JD @ Midwest Entertainment a score of 100 out of 5.0! We could not have asked for a better emcee, DJ, & lighting guru to help make our day as special as it was. From our first meeting at Starbucks, we knew JD would be perfect for our wedding. He made it his number one priority to get to know Mike and I on a personal level; first individually, then as a couple. He wanted our guests to know "our story" and he did an amazing job conveying that story throughout our wedding day. During the planning process, we met multiple times to discuss our wedding day timeline, music selection, and lighting options. JD was a great resource for all of these areas and gave us many of the ideas that we used on our wedding day! JD went above and beyond to make sure that Mike and I had the wedding day we always dreamed of. Perfect 5 of 5 stars here. JD from Midwest Entertainment is simply the best. He's the most professional and most stellar DJ we have ever seen. He made everything so easy and entertaining. He's not only a DJ, but a Master Of Ceremonies as well. Which means he knows how to keep the night flowing. We literally have not seen so many people stay on the dance floor all night like we did at our wedding. Over half the guests were still there at midnight when we shut down.

JD is a super classy guy who really cares how your wedding or party will turn out. He makes sure every detailed is covered. So many people that attended our wedding asked who he was because he was that good. JD and Midwest Entertainment is the best and we recommend him to anyone getting married :)

As all other reviews have mentioned - JD is nothing short of incredible. If you are looking for a DJ for your wedding, look no further because JD is the best there is.

From the minute we met JD, we knew that we wanted him at our wedding. He is one of the nicest guys that you'll ever meet, and he will do whatever it takes to make sure that your wedding day is perfect. JD met with us in-person on numerous occasions to help us plan our reception. We live in Minneapolis, and he offered to drive to Minneapolis meet with us for every meeting. When we met with him, he let us make the day "ours", but was also able to recommend lots of great ideas to make the day fun and entertaining for everyone. Based on what you come up with during your meetings with him, he will put together a schedule of events for your wedding reception and make sure that you are okay with everything.

On your wedding day, you are going to want to have someone that you can rely on to make sure everything runs smoothly and on-schedule so that you don't have to worry about anything. JD is that guy. He will really run the show - he will find you when you need to be somewhere, give plenty of warning to the people giving speeches about when they'll be speaking, and work with the bridal party when they need to be somewhere. On top of that, he will keep everyone entertained all night. The dance floor at our reception was always packed and everyone was always having a great time. We were so relaxed going into the reception because we knew that JD would take care of everything, and we could spend our time enjoying the day. After the wedding, we received so many comments about how excellent, friendly and entertaining JD was. Many people said that it was the best wedding they had ever been to, and we attribute that to JD.

JD - thank you for everything. You're truly amazing at what you do and we would not hesitate to recommend you to anybody looking for a DJ/MC for their wedding or special event.

JD provided us with exceptional service on the day of our wedding and prior to the event! He was so helpful in planning our reception and had the BEST ideas on how to make our party amazing. He played music at our outdoor ceremony as well as our reception - the sound, quality, and playlist were all equally amazing!!! Everyone danced all night at the reception - we've never seen a dance floor stay so full for so long at a wedding (and we've been to a lot of weddings) and this wouldn't have happend without JD! Jd and I have been friends for several years. I knew that he was in the entertainment business, but he and I had never had a discussion about it. When my wife and I got engaged we did what every couple does. We started shopping around for all the pieces that go into making your special day complete. Now by word of mouth I heard Jd was the best around. Naturally I started to investigate this and found that all of his reviews were fantastic. My wife and I live in Florida so we didn’t have the time to run around Eau Claire and meet with everyone. We decided to trust the reviews and go forward with Jd. Now I can honestly say that fantastic doesn’t even give him enough credit. You would think that he was prior military with all of the attention to detail that he put into our wedding to make our day incredible. Starting off with all of the documentation he provided for the events of the day when the planning started over a year ago, to all of the amazing surprises that he provided us with during the day of our wedding that we didn’t even know about. JD was nothing short of amazing. He was the perfect combination of friendly, professional, flexible, and fun. It was really important to us to find someone who would keep the focus on creating a fun atmosphere that was dedicated to us, and we were so lucky to find that with JD! Throughout the planning process, he was so organized and had so many great ideas to share. We quickly learned that JD is so much more than just your typical DJ.

Our reception was so perfect and ran so smoothly. JD made sure to coordinate every little detail, and communicated with us so we knew exactly what was happening and when. We got so many complements about how wonderful our reception was. Most importantly, my husband and I had the time of our lives! :)

I would and will recommend using Midwest Entertainment to anyone. In my opinion, there's not a better DJ/Master of Ceremonies out there. JD, we sincerely thank you for everything. :)

We thought you did an amazing job JD. You made it so easy to work with. We felt pressure from all other areas/vendors to make decisions and have everything ready, but you were so calm when we met and had great suggestions. You were flexible at the reception for guest requests, and the atmosphere was so welcoming for all people (dancers or not) to dance or hang out with friends. Also, we had so many comments about how hilarious the shoe game was. So many people enjoyed that.

Personally, I loved the music. I loved how open you were. I loved your professionalism. I never had to question or wonder what you would act like or say because you made us feel so comfortable in our meetings.

J.D was an amazing D,J and great to work with. He was accommodating and easy to get a hold of. He did anything that we need of him and made my wedding day stress free! Thanks again for everything I appreciate everything you did to help make my wedding day perfect!

I planned a Wisconsin Wedding all the way from Seattle. I meet JD and I immedietly was drawn to his energy and his obvious dedication to his work. He provided me with many examples and videos to get started. However, I already had many ideas and he was open-minded and able to provide many "spin-off's" to what we discussed on the spot. I knew after our discussion that this DJ was going to help me pull this unique, unexpected, creative, traveling themed wedding off. He was available to me as I needed. We communicated through phone, email and text. He is full of updated ideas and is not your cookie cutter DJ. When I was stuck on an idea, he made suggestions and it all came together. JD went above and beyond at all my requests with music, the slideshow, my funny cartoon sounds to incorporate throughout the reception on que. JD was even at rehersal with his portable music and it made all that hard work finally come life. The guests thought he was personable and professional, everyone loved my DJ. We loved our DJ! JD is the DJ you want, he's worth every penny!! You will not be dissappointed! Book him ASAP!

JD was an amazing dj. He knew how to get everyone out on the dance floor, he's funny, and knows how to make the night absolutely amazing!! He's very flexible and easy to work with. My husband and I were very impressed and will most certainly recommend him.

I can not express enough how wonderful JD from Midwest Entertainment is. His personality is instantly likable, he is very friendly, professional, polite and makes you feel at ease. I have no doubts that we picked the best of the best when we picked JD to DJ our wedding. Not only did he provide wonderful entertainment, but he also made sure the lighting was nothing less than perfect and did many extras such as our slide show. I have been to weddings where people were unhappy with their DJ due to arrogance and making the night all about them by talking too much over the mic. You will not get unhappy feedback from your guests if you are lucky to book JD for your wedding, he very much makes sure you and your gusts are happy and goes the extra mile without a doubt. I will forever be grateful for his part in making my wedding day a memory that I will cherish forever. I will continue to recommend Midwest Entertainment to everyone I know! Midwest Entertainment was more than just a DJ. JD was there for us each step of the way during the process of planning our wedding. It seems we talked more about the actual event than just the music! He was a great resource to have and our trust in him helped calm our nerves and gave us confidence that would wedding would be spectacular!

His enthusiasm and assistance where far more than we would have expected! We are so great full that he was able to be part of our day!

JD was absolutely amazing. He was very professional and fun. We met with him before the wedding date and discussed what we pictured for our wedding. He played a variety of music that definitely had people out on the dance floor. We had so many guests come up to us during and after the wedding telling us how it was the best wedding they've ever been to and how awesome our DJ was. He did such a fantastic job and I would recommend him to anyone!
