I cannot say enough wonderful things about Ideal Media! Their services were an integral part of making our wedding day truly magical. The smoke effect for our first dance was breathtaking, creating a truly enchanting atmosphere. Our pre-wedding music video looked stunning on the 7x7 projector screen, and the personalized monogram was the perfect touch. The green uplighting added a warm and elegant ambiance to the entire reception.
But what truly sets Ideal Media apart is their incredible dedication to their clients. When it looked like our DJ might not show up, Ideal Media stepped in as our backup, ready to save the day if necessary (but luckily it wasn't) and ensuring our celebration went off without a hitch. Their professionalism, responsiveness, and willingness to go above and beyond exceeded all expectations.
I wholeheartedly recommend Ideal Media for any event. They are truly the best! -

Wedding Lighting and Draping Services
Ideal Media provided three amazingly executed services during my client's wedding. From beautiful uplighting and elegant sweetheart table draping to their 360 photobooth, each aspect of our event was done so well! My 50th Birthday Celebration
James was professional and accommodating. My event was fantastic. He provided multiple services for my celebration...piping and draping, lighting, 360 photo booth and he was also the DJ for the evening! Everything was top notch and my guests had a wonderful time. Amazing, Couldn’t be better
James was amazing. He helped make our wedding perfect. There was a torrential downpour right before our outside ceremony and his outside gear got wet but he still managed to be ready on time and hit all his cues. He was polite and professional and so easy to work with. The reception was amazing even with my wife and I making a couple last minute changes James accommodated everything we needed and more. He kept the party going and had people dancing the entire event. He really made our wedding experience so much better and I would highly recommended them to any person looking for a top notch DJ who will go above and beyond. -

What an awesome collaboration!
I plan weddings and events and need trusted, reliable vendors to call on for specific needs. I have called on James of Ideal Media twice. In both cases James was always calm, positive, and professional and addressed my every concern, modification, adjustment, etc. He is such a joy to work with and always makes sure that I am pleased. He is now my go to for everything he supplies. -

My now-wife and I were struggling to find a last minute Pipe & Drape vendor two-weeks leading up to our wedding after our initial vendor bailed on us. James (owner of IMDJLD) was extremely helpful in two ways:
He accommodated a request to move our Pipe & Drape from our ceremony room to our reception room at minimal cost. Other vendors we received quotes from tacked on exorbitant extra fees for the request but James was more than happy to work within our budget and required logistics.
While we only used their Pipe & Drape services...from receiving quotes, follow ups, to confirmation and timely setup and breakdown, we could not recommend James or Ideal Media more! -

DJ James was very professional. We received quick responses via text and/or email. He is a very nice guy. He made time to come out before the wedding to walkthrough our venue with us and the wedding coordinator. Not to mention he is an awesome Dj! The dance floor was popping all night long. James was one of our vendors who was easiest to work with. He was extremely responsive throughout the planning process, knowledgeable, and willing to go with the flow on the day of. We really appreciated that James was able to handle both lighting and music for multiple events at our wedding. He was able to keep a diverse crowd at a Catholic-Hindu wedding dancing for the whole night, respected our playlist requests, and had very helpful suggestions during the planning process. During the wedding reception itself, he was very communicative and gives you as much or as little control as you want. We would definitely recommend his services. -

We found Ideal Media online, and could not have been happier with James and his services!! Our wedding reception looked so pretty with all the uplights, and James did the set-up and breakdown with no issues. James was fantastic to work with and very competitively priced. We were looking for a pipe/drape/light curtain backdrop for our head table and a few uplights around the reception and he was able to provide both, as well as pick them up after the reception ended, for a very reasonable fee. He met with us beforehand to make sure he understood our vision and he also purchased warm white string lights specifically for us to match the tone of the rest of our lighting, even though he already had cool white lights available. We would highly recommend him! -

My husband and I knew after our first meeting with James that he was the DJ for us. My husband can be a handful and James was able to roll with us and speak to both our needs. From there he was communicative throughout the process responding within 24/48 hours. We used both lighting and she services and both were ideal! The upkighting for our wedding really wowed us and our guests. James also kept our dance floor packed from start to finish. -

If you are looking for beautiful lighting, a responsive and patient vendor, and no fuss--look no further! James was absolutely amazing to work with. We knew we wanted some uplighting for the ceremony/reception and he recommended the number of lights we needed. He also happily worked with us to adjust that number to meet our budget. We used Ideal Media DJHD for lighting during our wedding in August. The lighting really made the room pop and gave it a great elegant atmosphere. Although we had a small space and 20 up-lights were enough, the lights we had were so pretty, I wish we got more to spot/monogram the dance floor. Ideal Media DJHD was very responsive and easy to work with! They were prompt on arriving for setup and although our reception ran over, we were not charged anything extra or pressured to finish up so they could pick-up the lights. Of all the lighting companies I contacted, Ideal Media DJHD was the ONLY company that was willing to negotiate with us on pricing based on our wedding budget, especially since our wedding was on a Friday. Their pricing and overall service was great and I would absolutely use them or refer them for any party/wedding decor. -

I have been to a lot of weddings where the dance floor goes unused by the guest, the flow of the wedding is not smooth and feels mechanical or guests can simply not understand what the DJ is saying due to bad sound quality. I was worried about all of these things when picking a DJ. James really does know how to keep your guest having a great time on the dance floor, he can read a crowd and plays a great mix of music (romantic, trendy, 80's, international he has it ALL) to keep guest happy and the party going. He is a wonderful master of ceremony as he effortlessly directs the guest to different events. While we had a time line of all the nights events he did not make the party feel rushed and we were able to smoothly go from dinner to dancing to cake cutting ect. with out any awkwardness. We also used James for our lighting and drapes and we could not be happier with how every thing looked. James was very patient through out the whole planning process. He is quick to answer any questions through email and find solutions for problems that arise. Although we used the same ball room for the wedding ceremony and for the reception he was able to make the atmosphere and ambiance of the ball room feel completely different for the two events. The ceremony felt romantic and cozy, while the reception was beautiful, open and fun. The draping and uplights were masterfully done and we has so many compliments on how beautiful everything looked (even by hotel event staff!). We also has him do a gobo light with our names on that shined on the dance floor to add an extra special touch. James is a true professional and knows his weddings, I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone I know that is looking to make their wedding venue look stunning and for the music/dancing to be a blast. -

James is a great guy, down to earth and easy going. He always responds to our e-mails in a reasonable time and he is very accommodating, willing to work within our budget and offer ways to save. One example, we decided a month before the wedding if we could add uplighting in addition to our DJ service with him. He was about to guide us through our decision and came up with photos and videos of what it might look like. We decided to go for the uplighting and it was impressive!
James is also very caring and passionate about his work. Before the wedding, he called us a couple days ahead of time to ask us how to pronounce members of the bridal party’s names correctly which was a challenge since our bridal party consisted of very ethnic names. During our wedding day, he followed our scripts and music requests without any problems. He also engaged in the dancing himself during the playing of ‘Cupid Shuffle’ to get the crowd going. As for the uplighting, he went above and beyond what was originally requested and we were very happy with the results. Thank you James for DJing on our special day!

I used James a couple weekends ago for my wedding at a vineyard. People are still reaching out to me about how great the music was at the reception. He was really professional throughout the entire process - I booked him really early in advance, and was bothering him with inquiries for a while and he always answered promptly. He was clear about what exactly he needed from me, and he came through on every single thing we asked of him. His rates are very affordable, and I honestly could not be happier with how the music turned out. Thanks for everything James!! :-) -

Prior to the wedding, he conducted a site visit with no additional charge in preparation of the actual wedding day.
He provided a quality DJ service, MC service, and lighting for our event. We were more than pleased with his delivery. His professionalism made him easy to work with and I would definitely refer him to other friends and family.

My husband and I contacted James the day before our wedding reception (April 19, 2014) after our "booked" singer flaked on us. Thankfully James was available on SHORT NOTICE! On the day of the reception, James was on time, friendly, flexible and an absolute professional!!! The event was enjoyed by all of our guests and literally everyone danced the entire night. Afterward all of our guests commented on our "Awesome" DJ!! -

WOW! I really lucked out with finding James of Ideal Media DJHD! What a passionate, driven individual! I originally found him through the web when I searched for DJs that were familiar with Kpop which was an important part of our music selections. From our discussions, I knew he was the right DJ for our event. He also stated he did lighting and decor which I decided to utilize. I even agreed to be his guinea pig for pipe and draping. All of his prices were completely reasonable and competitive and also did not include extra fees such as delivery. I felt like I was talking to someone who really cared about my wedding as oppose to some company trying to nickle and dime me. It was also SO convenient to plan with him about all three services (DJ, lighting, and pipe and drape) instead of going through three different vendors. Also, because I booked all of these services through him, he gave me a small discount on the final price which I deeply appreciated. I couldn't be happier with his services. The lighting, pipe and drape looked absolutely amazing (you should see the pictures, ask him!) and it was so fulfilling to see my visions come to life, especially since I plan on going into the wedding planning industry. His DJ skills also blew me away. He mixed songs into the next song seamlessly and is also a MASTER at reading the crows. He would loop songs and choruses that everyone was dancing to. At my wedding, people were doing the dougie for a really long time and he just let it play/loop until everyone had their chance to shine in the circle that was formed on the dance floor. He knew when to slow it down and speed it back up and was very familiar with all of the songs I had on my list. AMAZING! I will always seek him out when my friends/clients are planning their weddings. Make sure you ask him if he does anything before you have to find another vendor and save yourself the hassle. I look forward to working with him again in the future! -

James was an awesome DJ and he created the exact vibe we were looking for. We wanted our DJ to be thorough because we knew that the music is such an integral part of the overall experience. He took the time to understand the music and lighting that we wanted and brought it to life. All of our guests have commented on how good the music was and how much they danced. James was very responsive to emails, calls, and texts, and worked with us around our busy schedule. On our wedding day, James arrived early and made sure he coordinated efforts with our planner, the photographer, the musicians, etc.. We highly recommend James to DJ your wedding or any event. -

Ideal Media was one of the best decisions I made for my wedding!!!! (Leave it to me to wait until the last minute to request uplights for the reception; I'm talking a week before the wedding.) As soon as I emailed James, he called me to discuss details. His pricing for uplights was the best I had found, especially on short notice. He was very accommodating and was willing to make a free trip to the venue to see what he was up against. He was able to provide wire free (yay!) uplights that blended in with the reception space during day light hours, but lighted up the room at night. He really was able to transform the room into a beautiful area for dancing the night away. I would recommend Ideal Media in a heart beat! -

It was a pleasure having James work with us during our wedding ceremony and reception. We did not meet with him in person until the day of the wedding, but just through our communications online and on the phone it felt like we knew him.
He was extremely prompt in responding to our emails and he would also arrange phone conferences so that we could discuss everything in more detail. James was also extremely organized! He provided us with a sample reception timeline, which made it easy for us to select the music that we wanted during the event.
James did an excellent job throughout the reception. He kept us on schedule, all while ensuring that we all had a great time! He did an excellent job of judging the crowd and keeping the party going. Our wedding guests are still talking about how much fun they had!
If we ever have any events in the future and are in need of a DJ, we would definitely give James a call again.

James is an amazing talent and we were so lucky to have him working at our wedding reception. He provided music, uplighting, and a gobo. He is very organized and prompt in responding to our initial e-mails. He worked within our budget and helped to create the best party of our lives!
Prior to the wedding, James conducted a site visit at our venue to show us the gobo and the blue uplighting for our reception. The fact that he did a site visit prior to the wedding was such a stress reliever in itself, so we were sure he was familiar with the venue and knew exactly what shade of blue we needed.
In terms of music, James REALLY knows how to feel out the crowd. Most weddings that we have been to play "typical" wedding music, but I KNEW that ours would be different. We had such a beautiful ceremony, but after a long day, we were ready to party! After the dinner music was over, our guests danced the night away for hours. Our friends commented that this was the first wedding they went to where the dance floor was consistently FULL the whole night! Everytime I attempted to leave the ballroom to take care of something, he would play an amazing song, so I had to immediately turn around and run back to the dance floor!
Lastly, we were so impressed with his MC skills. He had to announce our wedding party's entrances into the reception. If you are famliar with Filipino weddings, you know that there are numerous sponsors that are part of the entourage to be announced. He pronounced EVERY name perfectly and clearly! We did go over the names with him beforehand, but he didn't even need our help!

I highly recommend DJ HD. He's a true professional and played a large role in making our party in August 2013 a success. His lighting work brought our venue to life. He played plenty of songs from our playlist and did an amazing job reading the crowd. I have no regrets and feel lucky to have booked him. His rates were very reasonable and his service is top notch. -

"We had our 25th anniversary party on May 12, 2012. We hired DJ HD for the event. DJ HD did a wonderful job. He knew exactly what to say to get the crowd going. DJ HD did a great job for our wedding even with less than a week to prepare. Patient and easy to talk to and with no annoying sales pitch, he met with us for a couple hours to go over what we wanted. He was able to provide some suggestions and answer all our emails and requests. He arrived at the venue over an hour and half before start time. We were pleasantly surprised with the volume of the music during the reception... not so loud that you have to yell to be heard but not too soft where you don't feel like dancing. Compared to the other DJs, I would say his prices are very good and reasonable! Definitely helpful in this economy. Great job DJ HD! -

I booked Ideal Media for my 20 year class reunion. They were very responsive and helpful throughout the process. I told them what I was looking for and they provide it. November Wedding
James with Ideal Media was great! He worked with us to set up a very specific wedding day timeline in order to include each and every song that we wished to have played. He responded to messages quickly and was helpful during the planning process. He was flexible, our ceremony ran late but he was able to get our reception moving at the right pace. We booked IMDJHD for our wedding cocktail hour and reception in DC. We needed DJ, Emcee and Lighting services and were impressed with the results of all three. It took just one sit down consultation, one phone consultation, and a few emails to nail down all the details. Our event went off without a hitch. Every request was spot on for music and he knew just what we needed to dance to without us giving much direction. Our dance floor was packed all night and the guests were blown away by how fun the entire night was. We even got a custom monogram which looked great and we had many complicated names to announce which were spot on. The DJ also kept us on schedule according to our timeline which made for a seamless classy experience. -

James provided lighting and DJ services for my wedding, and the lighting was absolutely amazing. It brought the room to life and the gobo projection was perfect. In terms of DJ services, I was not ultimately satisfied with this service. The reason I initially chose James as my wedding DJ was because of his musical ability to mix songs as the night went on with non-stop dance music, as he advertised on his website. Instead, he tended to play the songs until the end of the song, he repeated songs (although I had given him a wide variety of preferred songs to play), and he did not have all of the proper CD version of songs played at the wedding. Lastly, I requested a special mix for dances such as the bridal party dance and the father daughter dance, which was, rightly so, an up charge. However, when one of the mixes wasn't to my liking, he tried to up charge again for any additional changes that he would have to make. Customer service is pivotal, and I believe that if your client is not satisfied with a product, the vendor should graciously try to be as accommodating as possible. All in all, I would recommend his services, however, I would suggest that the client be as specific as possible with what they want, as soon as possible. -
