Dan is the QB of your day - give him the ball!

The DJ is probably the most important coordinator of your wedding day. He/she will either run the show with precision - or run it into the ground. Dan has your back throughout the entire day! He makes sure things step off like clockwork. Oh, and he is also an officiant so you get a 2 for 1 special with Dan! From wedding vows to last dance, Dan has you covered! And he can dance too!

The best decision we made for our wedding day!

Dan and I Wed DJ Solutions played a key role in keeping our wedding night on track. I cannot express enough how amazing he made our night, making sure he played songs we requested, getting friends and family on the dance floor, and rolling with all the punches we had! So many of our guests commented how great he was. He would get on the dance floor with our guests and interact with them, so he was a part of the party. Best dj ever!

DJ Dan always knew exactly what song to play from cocktail hour to the end of the reception. He matched the high-intensity energy we were going for by keeping everyone dancing almost the entire night. His sense of when to kick things into high gear and when to throw in a slow song was impeccable. Dan even went the extra mile to speed up our first dance song slightly to match the tempo we had practiced! From cake cutting and first dances to the Macarena and lots of fun in between, we can’t recommend Dan enough!

I Wed Solutions is amazing!

I cannot praise I Wed Solutions enough!! We booked I Wed Solutions for our wedding DJ for both ceremony and reception along with our officiant. Dan Nielsen DJed our wedding and was our officiant. He did a phenomenal job with transitioning music at both the ceremony and reception but most importantly, he smoothly kept us on track throughout the day. I did not hire a day-of coordinator but I didn’t regret my decision. Dan was amazing - he kept the party going all night and was so enthusiastic and fun. We have been told over and over that our wedding was one of the best people have been to and I attribute that largely to Dan for making it so fun for everyone. I Wed Solutions was also very affordable. We looked at some DJs that were outside our budget and were pleasantly surprised when we were reviewing Dan’s rates - we stayed well within our budget even including the costs for ceremony music and officiant services. Dan provided uplighting at our reception as well and again I was shocked with the quality. I have seen some really poor, overdone uplighting which made me hesitant, but Dan’s uplighting was beautiful and went well with our venue. Booking I Wed Solutions for our wedding was one of the best decisions we made.

Fantastic job!

Dan @ I Wed Solutions did an amazing job at job daughter's wedding. I had been at another wedding a few years back where he was the DJ. When my daughter asked if I could recommend anyone, Dan was the 1st that came to mind. He is very professional, fun, takes requests and teaches basic line dances as well. Dan officiated the ceremony as well. Thank you for helping make my daughter & daughter in laws wedding so special.

Best Of The Best!!!!

We can not say enough about Dan! When we first met him, we just knew we wanted him to be our DJ!! He makes you feel so welcomed and like family from the start. He is great with responding to any and all question in a timely manner. He is so easy to talk to and is very patient. We knew we were in good hands and had nothing to worry about. He was also our officiant, and he attended our rehearsal and made everyone feel comfortable in their roles. He also had the whole day of the wedding under control! He kept us up to date on what was going on, what was coming next, and was giving time reminders to those who needed it. He does a great mixture of music (that is what we asked for), but he will play anything you want! My family loves to do line dances, but even so, Dan gets out there and dances with everyone and reviews the steps for those who may not know it. He is hands down the best choice out there for a DJ! Not only did we love having him, but all of our guests keep telling us how amazing he was! We are trying to think of what else we could need a DJ for just so we can have him again! He is honestly amazing! If you need a DJ you really need to talk to Dan because there is no one like him! We promise, you won’t be disappointed!

Best DJ/Officiant Ever!

Dan was our officiant and DJ for our wedding on August 14, 2021! He did an absolutely incredible job. His service, professionalism, organization, and experience made our run smoothly and allowed us to fully enjoy every minute. Our ceremony was exactly what we wanted and the reception was incredible! For the reception, Dan did a great job as the MC, kept our guests engaged, and the dance floor full. Truthfully, we got the most compliments from a wide range of our guests on Dan! Several of our engaged friends have asked us about Dan - one couple is even using him for their own wedding! I cannot say enough wonderful things about Dan and his services. If you need a wedding DJ, officiant, or other services - choose Dan!

Awesome & Perfect!

Best DJ around! The night was smooth, flowed, & everyone loved the music that was played. A couple songs were wrong that I picked out, so just make sure you double check with him. But other than that, I'd recommend Dan to anybody!

Perfection!

Dan did an amazing job with our wedding reception. He was very flexible to work with us and make the ceremony customized to our needs. We also worked with him in advance on what our song preferences are and even a few line dances he could teach the guests. Everyone had a wonderful evening. We highly recommend him! Jen and Joe

Couldn't ask for a better DJ

Our venue (The Shores of Turtle Creek) recommended Dan incredibly highly, even going so far as to wave some rental fees if he was the one DJing. We could immediately tell why.
Dan showed up ready to go after being very communicative and diligent about filling out online forms and collecting song playlists.
His questionnaires are incredibly thorough And so when it was time for the big day, all you had to do was show up and get to work and boy did he!

There is never a lull in the music, he kept the whole group engaged and even had the staff dancing with the guests.

A wonderful DJ truly makes the experience and Dan went above and beyond from Day 1 to make us feel taken care of and made our day even more wonderful.

DJ Dan was the best!

Our wedding was 2 days ago, and people are still commenting on our awesome DJ. Thank you DJ Dan for the awesome suggestion on our unique bridal party intros! Fun and relaxed

Dan knows how to give the newlyweds a great party! Our evening was a blast because of him. He has so many tricks up his sleeve. He has a plethora of fun game ideas, and is not afraid to show the crowd how to do a line dance.
I highly recommend Dan for ANY wedding.

Professional and put us at ease

We found Dan through weddingwire, but he is also local in our town Grayslake. We chatted a few times via email and phone and on the day of the ceremony he did an amazing job! As he says, he has done over 200 weddings, he is very knowledgable and was great at putting us at ease and performing the type of ceremony we wanted. He is also a DJ, so he is VERY comfortable with speaking and making the couple the spotlight of the ceremony. He was helpful with the setup of the vows and submitting the marriage license. I highly recommend him!

Amazing!

Literally such a rockstar!!!! Dan is fun, enagaging, and truly loves what he does. He does an awesome mix of music and is happy to work with whatever you want. He especially killed it with my father daughter dance and helping me pick music. Everyone from our wedding raved about the music and felt engaged with dan the whole time. Great price, great DJ, he made our night unforgettable.

Dan was AMAZING!!! He was our DJ and officiant and was so supportive and helpful through the entire planning process, answered every question I had and I honestly cannot say enough good things about him. At the wedding he was extremely flexible and even though there were a lot of changes and additions to things he just rolled with it and didn't miss a thing. I've only heard great things about him from my wedding guests, heck, not only was Dan on the dance floor, even our florist and photographers were dancing with all of us! I highly recommend him to absolutely everyone!!

Dan was a great DJ for our wedding! Everyone loved him and we keep getting compliments on how great our DJ was. He went above and beyond his duty as a DJ and he helped us with our ceremony and made sure our reception ran smooth. Dan was also very response and happy to answer any question we had. We had our Disney/Fairytale wedding on June 23, 2018 at IL State Beach. We met Dan at one of the bridal shows we attended and he came highly recommended. Once we talked to him and went to see him at the studio, we knew we wanted him to officiate the wedding and be our DJ. Dan was so awesome. He was so patient and helpful in picking out the ceremony music, first song, etc. He also helped me write our Disney vows which were absolutely perfect.
Dan was not only our DJ but also was the Master of Ceremonies. He had everything running like clockwork along with our Day of Coordinator. The dance floor was always full and we got so many compliments from our guests. He became part of the wedding from getting everyone on the dance floor to teaching line dancing. Dan and his brother Steve (our photographer) even did an amazing dance together that everyone loved. He was having a blast and everyone could tell that he was the best at what he does. He is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
If anyone is looking for an officiant and/ or DJ for your wedding...look no further. Honestly…you won’t be disappointed. Dan from I Wed Solutions DJ Service is your guy. If we could rate him 10 stars we would. Our Dream Wedding Team became like family to us…they are all amazing.

I found Dan through my best friend. He did her wedding and he was amazing! That made me even more comfortable with choosing him. He is easy to talk to and truly wants your wedding to be prefect. He will help you with anything and gives you outlines to help make sure you get all the music you need for your big day. He is super responsive and will help with any questions you may have. I let Dan take control of a lot of the music because he has done this so many times and it just took so much pressure off of me which is always a plus! So many of our guests told us how fun our wedding was and how amazing it was that he was able to read the crowd to keep everyone dancing! My Husband and I truly had the best time and we are so thankful to Dan for that. I highly recommend him.

Dan is the only DJ you should ever consider using. He was incredible! He did music for our ceremony and kept the night going DJ'ing our reception. He did a fantastic job taking our music tastes and making the night so much fun! He even jumped out on the dance floor and danced with us. We had many comments that our wedding was one of the best ones they have been to and we owe it all to Dan! He kept us updated with what was happening during the night and everything was perfect and fun! We had someone close to us get ordained to marry us so we did not use Dan for those needs, but he went above and beyond to take her aside and look over her ceremony before the wedding. He is an amazing guy and the best DJ around! :]

Kate was our officiant and we could not have been more happy with how the entire process went! She was super friendly, truly knew exactly what she was doing, and was a true professional. She helped us with the entire ceremony planning process and found ways to incorporate all of the little things we decided we wanted to do. Dan made my wedding an absolute success! Everyone was dancing, having a great time, the dance floor was filled the entire night, and he did such a wonderful job moving my bride and I along with the dances, cake cutting, bouquet toss and garter toss. He did a Skype video call with us a few days before the wedding, at our convenience, just to make sure everything was going smoothly, where has was able to help us fill in some song gaps (garter toss and bouquet toss). Dan looked professional, acted professional, and entertained all of my guests with great music, and a few dance specials including teaching people how to do the wobble, and Dan did this amazingly fun double-dutch routine, which everyone participated and enjoyed! My guests raved about how fun my wedding was days after! I fully recommend Dan for anyone who is looking for a professional DJ that will make your night memorable and fun!

Dan is amazing and I love him! He played all the right music at all the right times and he joined in with the dancing and made everyone enjoy their evening! Dan Neilson/I Wed Solutions made the planning process easier by offering both officiant and DJ services. We used both and were quite pleased. Dan performed a beautiful and meaningful ceremony and made us feel comfortable. During the reception, he kept things moving along in a timely manner and even went above and beyond his DJ duties at the end of the night. Guests even asked if Dan was our wedding planner. Our special day was due in large part to Dan and I Wed Solutions.

Dan was the DJ at our wedding reception and he did an amazing job. He provided the uplighting for our reception space and it looked awesome. He did a great job keeping the party going all night long. He really read our crowd well and played exactly the right songs. He was easy to work with and we are so glad he was recommended to us.

I recommend dan 100%. He was truly the best dj we could have asked for. He played everything we wanted and more. The one thing that made it even better was he took the stress out of everything and made it go smoothly with timing of it all. If you have to choose between him or someone else. Go with him you won't be disappointed.

Dan was extremely easy and enjoyable to work with. He was very flexible and had a great handle on what to do. He was also easy to communicate with.

The night of the wedding he was ON POINT! He was able to read the crowd super well, and kept the night moving. He played music we requested, as well as just "what felt right" for the crowd. I cannot stress how well Dan handled the whole night.

A DJ can absolutely make or break your party/wedding/reception, I can soundly say that Dan's services are 101% worth the price, or any price for that matter. If you are still looking for a DJ - do yourself and all your guests a favor, Hire Dan.

We used this company for our officiant and our DJ and were very pleased. We met with Dan, who happened to be busy on the date of our wedding, but referred us to some other great people. Kate was our officiant and did a wonderful job. We met with her once before the ceremony to talk to her about what we wanted. She was really great working with us and making the ceremony what we wanted. We did a unity tree. We had some ideas about how we wanted that to go, but she was great about tweaking it for us and making it flow with the rest of the ceremony. She also helped guide things along during the stressful beginnings of the ceremony. We were so happy with her!!

We also used DJ Eddie, who was amazing. We were so happy we chose him for our wedding day. We gave him a lot of direction for the songs before/during the ceremony and then at the cocktail hour. We didn’t get around to giving him a list for the reception, but he did a wonderful job. We wanted some salsa music, and he actually got up and sung the lyrics, which was a pretty cool touch. We didn’t want certain wedding songs like macarena, electric slide, etc played. When a guest requested one, he actually asked us before playing it. He kept everyone dancing all night long! We were sooo happy with him!

Dan from I Wed Solutions far exceeded all of my husband and my expectations!!! I can't even begin to explain how many compliments we got from family and friends throughout the night and the days following! We booked Dan as our officiant and our DJ for our wedding. First of all, he is super affordable, but more importantly, he was extremely easy to work with, quickly responded to all emails, and was there with us each step of the way leading up to the wedding. His sense of humor made the wedding ceremony laid back and easy going, which was exactly what we wanted! He has a true talent for throwing a great dance party! He even got out on the dance floor and danced with everyone! His background in banquets proved tremendously helpful when it came to timing throughout the night, including ensuring the meals were still hot when they got to the tables. The night was beyond perfect and it had a lot to do with Dan. We would without a doubt recommend Dan to all our family and friends and will definitely call him for all of our future DJ needs! Dan was super professional and worked with us throughout the entire process leading up to the wedding day. He did both our ceremony and reception. The ceremony was absolutely perfect - he played every song I requested with perfectly smooth transitions. The reception was awesome- he played all of our songs for the wedding party entrance and ours, along with the cake cutting song and all special dances. We had 95% (the other 5 % were over the age of 80) of guests on the dance floor the entire night-he rocked it and people had the best time. I would hire him again for other events because he knows how to work the crowd and keep everyone dancing until 1am - we would have kept going, but the venue was closing :) He also did our up lighting and has the best deal in town - it turned out beautiful!

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED - can't say enough positive things!

Dan is an amazing minister and DJ. He married and was the DJ at our wedding and the dance floor did not go un-danced. You'd be lucky to have Dan be a part of the your wedding vendors!!

Dan was our MC and DJ at our wedding reception helping to ensure everything went as planned. Everyone had a great time dancing and listening to the music - it was definitely a party on the dance floor. The lighting he provided created a nice ambiance too. I wish I could give Dan more than 5 Stars!!! He was an absolute pleasure to work with. He helped to make our wedding day a day we will never forget. Dan first officiated our ceremony, he worked closely with us to personalize our vows and ensure the ceremony was unique, personalized, sincere and romantic! He then moved seamlessly into the reception and helped our guests too as well. Throughout the evening Dan held true to his promise and kept everything moving along. He even helped behind the scenes, coordinating with our photographer for all the best pictures! Dan had worked with us in advance to obtain song lists and determine our taste in music, the playlist he put together was perfect! It was evident that Dan knew how to "work the crowd" and kept the party going with a full dance floor all night long! We sincerely appreciate everything that Dan did for us and would highly recommend him for any event. We can't thank you enough, Dan, for making this the most memorable day of our lives!

Even though the wedding had a very interesting mix of people, he was able to keep them ALL dancing! Now that's talent! We received countless compliments on our choice of DJ. If you are looking for someone to ensure everyone is having a great time, Dan is your guy. I can't tell you how great it felt for so many people to say what a great time they had. Dan was great! We are country music fans and he tried as much as possible to incorporate the music into our reception without slowing down the dance floor. From the minute dancing started there were always people out on the dance floor. He was great with keeping a mix of music to cater to everyone's taste.

We had Dan officiate our wedding, and he did an awesome job!! The ceremony was so nice and Dan was there every step of the way. We booked him for our wedding a year in advance and along the way I had random questions here and there and he responded to them right away via email and also assured me to ask any questions I had. He made us feel so comfortable and was on time for everything. Dan was recommended to me by my florist and I am so glad I met with Dan and booked him for our wedding ceremony. He was awesome! Dan was an amazing DJ! The hardest part about writing a review for Dan and iWedSolutions is the fitting in all the great things about our experience! I’ll start with the price. iWedSolutions was not the least expensive DJ we looked at, but they were very competitively priced and were several hundred dollars cheaper than many professional DJ services in the area.

When my wife and I first met with Dan one thing that made us feel very comfortable hiring him as our DJ was the fact he had run a successful banquet hall for many years. The experience with weddings Dan gained from having his own banquet hall was evident even when we met for the first time. He worked with us to put together a general idea about music, but he also was able to offer great advice on other aspects of our wedding and reception which we would not have thought of on our own.

As great as Dan was to work with before the wedding, the job he did at our reception was on another level! He was at Parkway on the Lake plenty early to set up and be ready to play music for the hour of appetizers; and did a great job organizing the wedding party for the introductions and the speeches. Dan’s experience really showed in fact that he was able to anticipate when things needed to be done, worked well with the banquet hall manager, and helped make our reception completely stress free. Once the dancing started he was constantly moving around the dance floor making sure the sound quality was good. The entire evening Dan was assessing which songs and what type of music would keep people dancing and, I am not exaggerating when I say, the only reason the dance floor was ever empty was because we had to leave at the end of the night.

I have had so many people compliment the job Dan did as our DJ. To quote my best man, “It was just a big ole party!” and Dan had so much to do with making our reception such a memorable time.

I couldn't have chosen a better officiant than Dan! I recommend choosing IWed Solutions for your wedding and here is why.....Dan is more than just a vendor that will perform a service for your function. He becomes a friend and friends are exactly what you need when planning a day that will remain a constant memory for you and your husband for the rest of your lives. From day one when we chose Dan, he was always available to us. Some of the requests and questions that he received from us were very unusual and probably a bit strange and he laughed with us and assisted us through it all. I even made a request of him the morning before and he accommodated it without a second thought. He created a very personalized and professional, but mostly meaningful ceremony for not only us but all of our guests, so that all 120 of us took away something very special from our day. I will always remember Dan most for his passion and understanding. The story behind my husband and I goes way back and this was a very emotional day for me also because we didn't have our parents to share the special day with us. I was very emotional and broke down during my vows and Dan very quietly walked me through it all so that I was composed and could make it through the vows. There are so many wonderful things to say about Dan and I Wed Solutions. My wedding couldn't have been more perfect. Dan did a great job with the ceremony. His messages were personalized, touching and from the heart. Dan made us feel comfortable during the ceremony and it showed in our laughter, excitement and joy. Dan also was our DJ for the reception. WOW! Introductions were personalized for each of the wedding party which added a very special touch! Once the dance floor was open, it stayed open! The floor was packed all night and everyone had a great time! I even had to extend our time for another 30 minutes because there were so many people still enjoying the party at the end!! I still receive compliments on how amazing the ceremony and music were to this day. Dan was amazing! Not only did he do a great job keeping the party going till the very end of the night. But he also was my savior because I was very worried my Pastor would decide to not show up there would be no problem because Dan is an ordained minister and would have stepped in for him. All my guests said they had a blast, and the dance floor was never empty. Dan is very personable, professional, and organized. There was never a dull moment in the party and all the introductions went smoothly. I would definitely recommend Dan to anyone! He did an awesome job :)

Dan is a great DJ. He's got all the music and is always willing to get anything you ask for. His personality shines through but he doesn't try and take over a wedding. He's witty and can keep the crowd entertained. I've used him to DJ a few other events and he can go with the flow regarding all types of music, etc.

And he does MAGIC....close-up magic that is amazing!!

Dan was amazing!!! My husband and I were 100% satified with our ceremony and the Reception. We had a sunday wedding and my guest that stayed to have a good time, for sure did!!! A lot of my guest came up to us and said how beautiful the ceremony was, and how awesome the DJ was. I used I Wed Solutions for my DJ services for my wedding. Dan was extremely professional and helpfull. I was uncertain on a few of my song choices and he suggested beautiful songs. We used Dan for both our Officiant and DJ for our January 2018 wedding. He performed a simple ceremony that was just perfect for us and our guests.
When it came to the DJ part of the night, he had the dance floor PACKED the whole night. It was so nice for my husband and I to look into the crowed and see all our guests having such a great time!
He was also nice enough to announce when the late night snack was ready and also made announcements when shuttles were coming and going.
We would absolutely recommend Dan and I Wed Solutions for any event.

Good but dissappointing as well.

Communication wasn't that well - had to keep emailing to remind about certain things. He's a nice man and is a good DJ, and was a good minister except for a few disappointing moments. I did not like the way he set up the part where my father gave me to my husband. It ruined the moment and made for really crappy photos. I would have rathered the traditional giving away moment of me and my dad having our moment hugging and then my dad and my husband hugging. So be weary of that. The biggest issue I had was HE DIDN'T PLAY THE RIGHT CEREMONY SONG! I did A LOT of research to make sure that the entrance song and my song flowed well and ~matched~. I told him the exact songs in email. He ended up playing the ukulele version of the song I wanted! I was SO upset when I found out while watching our wedding video. So disappointing. I also curated a playlist which he OK'd. My entire family are immigrants from Italy. I made sure to add a couple of italian songs, ~5 or so, to celebrate our culture and he did not play one single song. He also played songs that I specifically said not to when I gave him our do not play list. It resulted in the videographer videotaping people danging to the cha cha slide for 10-15 mins. Not enough communication as well, I was felt in the dark most of the time.
