Hire pastor mike as your wedding officiant!

I knew the minute we met with Pastor Mike he would be the one officiating our wedding. He is kind, sweet, so genuine, funny, he could be my own grandpa! He was so accommodating to what we wanted and always provided an updated script to make sure we were happy. His communication was top notch. We received so many great compliments from our guests about how amazing he was and where did we find him. I would recommend Mike a million times to any couples looking for an officiant. He was also very reasonably priced.

Excellent!

Mike was outstanding from our initial meeting to the day of with supporting us. He took sometime at our meeting to get to know us, ask some questions, and was funny throughout the ceremony! We would highly recommend him to anyone, as he did a great job with everything including our ceremony!

My husband is in the Navy at Great Lakes and we had originally wanted to get married in Florida and have a close family friend marry us. That didn't pan out and we needed to have our wedding in the Great lakes area and were considering using a Navy chaplain. That also didn't work out and it left us open to needing to find an officiant 6 weeks before our wedding. Rev Mike saved the day for us. He responded quickly and kindly. I live in New York so he worked with us out of state over phone calls and worked off the script we were originally going to use from our Family friend in Florida. He arrived early which was great to be able to say hi for a moment before hand. Rev Mike was helpful in editing scriptures and providing feedback and also relating to us. We couldn't recommend him enough. Thank you Rev Mike!

Rev. Mike Dixon was a wonderful officiant for our wedding. He did a great job at putting our ceremony together and was flexible with changing parts of it around the day before the wedding. Rev. Mike shared our love story which a lot of our guests really liked. We are very happy we went with him for our wedding and we know he will always be there for us in the future if we ever needed him. Rev. Mike is a caring, thoughtful officiant and takes the time to get to know you. We would highly recommend him!

Mike was an incredible guy to work with while planning our ceremony. He is very nice and easy to relate to. The script was well written and only required a few tweaks until we arrived at a final product that everyone at the ceremony loved. The message was delivered in a very heartfelt manner which we won't forget. He is very proud of his family and enjoys telling stories and sharing pictures of them. I would recommend his services to anyone looking for a reliable and all around good-hearted officiant for their big day.

My husband and I did not have a "home church" or a specific pastor that we had a connection with and felt comfortable to ask to officiate our wedding, so we leaned on WeddingWire, and I am so glad that we did. Pastor Mike not only made our wedding day special, but also helped make our relationship more meaningful leading up to our big day.

We met with Mike for a few pre-marriage counseling sessions, which led to thoughtful discussions that we may not have had before. Additionally, we attending a church service, and church-related events, with Mike and his wife- which was truly important to us. To have a special connection with our pastor before our wedding meant the world to us, and we're so grateful to now call him our friend. Thank you, Mike, for being so great and playing such an influential role in one of our most important days!

When we first started looking for an officient we weren't really sure what to expect! Like many, this portion of the planning gave us a little bit of anxiety! We knew we wanted to get married, but didn't know who would help us and understand what we needed for the ceremony. I had grown up Catholic, but my husband did not. My husband and I were very lucky to find Rev Mike. Rev Mike was very kind and thoughtful throughout the entire process and we felt immediately at ease when we met him. He took the time to meet us and learn a little bit about each of us. After our initial meeting, Rev Mike kept in touch via email and text and was always a phone call away if needed. He provided us a book to read before the wedding, samples of readings, and vows. He always offered to assist in guiding us through creating the ceremony we wished to have as well as new ideas. Rev Mike will give you a full script of the ceremony prior to the wedding, so you are able to work with him to taper it to meet your needs. Rev Mike helped us organize a rehearsal the day prior to the ceremony too. The day of Rev Mike was everything we had asked for! He was warm, friendly, and well spoken. He gave beautiful ceremony focused on love and commitment. Rev Mike mailed our marriage certificate and followed up with is so we knew the next steps. He also let us know that he would be available in the future for anything we may need- counseling, a prayer etc. I recommend Rev Mike without reservation!

Reverend Mike was so easy to talk to and genuinely wanted to get to know us before our big day! He was the only "online" option that we found that made us feel truly comfortable. It was wonderful! We had more than a few people comment on how great his wedding service was. He made sure our ceremony was how we wanted (romantic with touches of religion) and he even gave us a detailed plan for how everything was to go on the big day.- This made it easy for our rehearsal.- Can't say enough good things about him.

Reverend Mike was so thoughtful and detailed in our ceremony that he included several details, and even included the people in attendance. His words are devotional, loving and he had a way of making the vows portion personal. Our wedding was a little bit Irish, a little bit Mexican, and more contemporary. He made it possible to have a hand fasting/lasso worked into the ceremony. Also, he had a beautiful speech that incorporated my personal love story. It was a magnificent service, and Reverend Mike is the absolute BEST.

Reverend Mike did a great job before, during, and after our wedding. We received many compliments on the ceremony from guests. He wasn't local to our area, so he skyped and texted with us prior to working on the ceremony. We emailed back and forth to get everything just right. He was attentive to the details that were important to us on our wedding day, and he took care of the marriage certificate after we were done. He provided some pre-marital counsel, a book on things we should know before we married, and has offered not just to be our wedding officiant, but our marriage minister as well. We'd highly recommend him!

Working with Rev. Mike was incredible! Especially from planning from a different city, we really appreciated having an officiant who was so prompt and accommodating. We were able to review the script of our ceremony well ahead of time. Our ceremony was so special and very much felt like we had known Rev. Mike for much longer. Rev. Mike was great with suggestions, both those that are very traditional and those that are very unique. We felt like he truly cared about us, making our ceremony perfect, and the success of our marriage beyond the ceremony. We highly recommend him to all, especially those planning from out of town!

Rev. Mike is incredibly helpful, responsive, proactive, caring, and flexible and is extremely easy to work with. He worked closely with us to put together a customized script that told our story, mixing traditional and modern wording into our vows. He helped make our day truly unique by incorporating a traditional Celtic ritual (the groom is Scottish) seamlessly into the ceremony.

My now husband and I were blessed to have Reverend Mike officiate our wedding this past September. Any stereotypes or reservations were put to ease at our first meeting. The care and attention he provided us with was amazing as well as the time and consideration he took in making sure our day went smoothly. From the smallest detail to the tiniest formalities no one would even think of, Rev. Mike mapped out our ceremony from start to finish and incorporated our own stories to make it personal and heart felt. Wedding planning is stressful enough, I would highly recommend Rev. Mike to all brides with total confidence!

Reverend listened to our requests and accommodated to all. He was very nice, and responded immediately. He also provides advice and counseling even after the wedding, whenever it is needed. Really made us feel like he cares for our future as a couple to last.

Reverend Mike was great and easily adapted to our religious beliefs. Highly recommended, he is kind, professional, and flexible. Within 24 hours of contact we had completed our marriage as per our request. Reverend Mike spoke eloquently on the joys of marriage as well as the hardships. Reverend Mike was our officiant for our ceremony and we loved everything about it! He made our wedding day so special, and working with him throughout the wedding planning process was a breeze. He was very accommodating and worked closely with us to make our ceremony intimate and memorable. It was so personal and I do not think there was a dry eye in the house. Rev. Mike officiated our wedding this past Saturday. He did a fabulous job. We met him almost a year ago and he listened to our ideas and found great ways to incorporate them into the ceremony. He worked with us all the way up to the big day. I had nothing but compliments about Rev. Mike. I had people asking if he had known us for years! He kept everyone's attention, was appropriately humorous and made the ceremony romantic and sentimental. He is highly recommended!

Mike is very approachable and open. He is a generous, kind-hearted man. Although we just met MIke, it seemed like we had known him for years! He is a man you would be proud to call a friend. If I could give more than 5 stars I absolutely would. Reverend Mike Dixon gave us the most beautiful ceremony I could have ever asked for. He had wonderful advice and he was so much more than just a wedding officiant. He was a supportive friend who offered us guidance. He wanted to get to know us so he could give us a personalized ceremony. It was truly MAGICAL. We received so many compliments!! We can't thank him enough for all the time he put into our ceremony. I HIGHLY recommend him!!!

The process from start to finish with Mike was streamline, flawless, and comforting. The first time we talked with him on the phone, he instantly came off as a very genuine person who made us feel like we were long life friends. There was no negative judgements of our premarital living arrangements, normal for today's lifestyles, which was a great relief.

There was great flexibility with the ceremony, and we were able to customize it to our liking, working with Mike via email and phone discussions. Mike provided great energy during the ceremony, keeping the crowd engaged during our special moment, and even found time to make the audience to laugh, which provided nice relief during a warm outdoor ceremony.

He arrived promptly on schedule for the rehearsal and wedding, which gave us one less thing to worry about. Our wedding day went off perfectly, and it was all started with Mike's ceremony, which resulted in many compliments from family and friends throughout the reception.

Finally, Mike had such an impact on our special day, that we now exchange Christmas cards during the holidays! Thank you Mike.

Reverend Mike was simply AMAZING. My husband and I could not have asked for a more courteous, sincere, helpful, generous or wonderful officiant for our wedding. The ceremony was absolutely beautiful but still entailed a sense of wit. You would've thought that Reverend Mike had known both my husband and myself our entire lives. Everything was lovely. His correspondence up to and including the wedding was punctual and informative. He literally could not have been more helpful. I honestly couldn't be any happier. Thank you SO much Reverend Mike! We are very pleased with Rev. Mike's services. We received a lot of compliments from our guest on how lovely and wonderful the ceremony were. We didn't even need a rehearsal because Rev. Mike is very clear and communicative when he walk us through the procession. He was very responsive, flexible and adoptive to last-minute requests. Wedding 9/2/12: My husband and I struggled to find someone to officiate our wedding since neither of us is very religious. I stumbled across Reverend Mike from I Now Pronounce You, and booked him based on his willingness to do any kind of ceremony. It was the perfect decision. We were able to meet with Reverend Mike before the ceremony and he really made an effort to get to know us in that short amount of time. We could instantly tell he is genuine and truly cares about the people he works with. Reverend Mike provided us with a blueprint of the wording for our wedding ceremony, but was incredibly flexible when we wanted to reword a lot and write parts of the ceremony (including our vows) ourselves. Reverend Mike did a great job officiating our ceremony and was so warm and friendly. One of our guests asked how he was related to the family after the ceremony- they were shocked when we told them we had booked him off a website! The only thing is that there was the option to have Reverend Mike attend the rehearsal for $100, which we chose not to do. He struggled a little over some of the ceremony wording that we had written, so if I had to do it over I would have had him attend the rehearsal to work out the kinks. Overall, we were very happy with Reverend Mike and I would highly recommend him to anyone!

We were very happy with Rev. Mike and had many compliments on our wedding ceremony. He was incredibly responsive throughout the whole planning process , answering all of our questions and returning phone calls and emails almost immediately. He was helpful in suggesting readings and ceremony layout, and very flexible with the changes we requested. He gave us a word for word script to review ahead of time and was happy to come out for a rehearsal even though many told us it probably wasn't necessary. It really helped to reassure me that everything would go smoothly on our wedding day, and it went of exactly as planned. Rev. Mike is friendly and likeable and we'd recommend him to anyone looking for a wedding officiant.

We had an amazing experience with Reverend Mike for our wedding ceremony! We was accommodating to our hectic schedule with trying to plan a wedding in Chicago while currently living in Los Angeles. We met with him for the first time and went over the basics of who we are, our love story, and how we wanted to show that in a ceremony. He was always flexible with the small changes and tweaks we put into our ceremony, and made us feel confident that it was going to go smoothly.

They day of our wedding, he called both of us to let us know he was on the way to the venue, arrived early, made sure everyone and everything was in place, and we started the ceremony right on time. We have gotten so many comments from friends and family about how beautiful the ceremony was. We couldn’t be happier to have had Rev. Mike be a part of our wedding day. We were referred to him though another officiant and we are thrilled to have found him.

Throughout the planning process, Mike was easy to work with, friendly and easygoing, and detail oriented. He pulled together a thorough script for our ceremony, helped us select readings that reflected our relationship, and proactively kept in touch with us. At the ceremony Mike was equally warm and professional, and he did a wonderful job delivering a very personal ceremony. We especially liked that he told our ‘love story’ and invited us each to share what we loved about each other.

Our families were also impressed when they met him at the wedding rehearsal, and we received numerous compliments from our wedding guests on what a lovely ceremony he performed. Thanks Mike for making it such a special day!

I highly recommend Rev. Mike Dixon as a wedding officiant. We were able to complete all of our planning and communication over the phone and email. His communications were very clear, and he was very professional. Mike provided the customized ceremony with everything we wanted and requested without fail. At the ceremony, it sounded like an old family friend was doing the officiating. Mike captured the nature of our relationship and the nuances of family dynamics through our long-distance communications!

Mike is a very kind, caring person. My husband and I feel so fortunate to have found him! Mike has found his calling, and it shows!

I would highly recommend mike dixon to do your ceramony. He was very professional but yet made it very relaxing for us on our day and made it enjoyable to listen to his sermon when he married us

Rev Mike did a great job when it came to our wedding. We were a little worried when we realized that we were looking for someone to perform the ceremony a little "late in the game". Even so Rev Mike was patient with us and walked us through the entire process before we even actually hired him. By the end of our first meeting with him there was no question for us as to who was going to perform our wedding.

Rev Mike spend a good deal of time working with us so the ceremony was exactly what we wanted and were looking for. We couldnt have been happier with the way everything went and will not hesitate to recommend his services to anyone.

I will start by saying that at first we were a little nervous about selecting someone that we found on the internet to perform our wedding ceremony seeing that we wanted a very intimate ceremony.

To our surprise, Rev. Dixon was able to turn our feelings upside down!!! He was very personabe and did everything possible to help create our dream ceremony. He stayed in contact with us and made sure that he was always available to answer any questions or address any concerns that we may have had.

Our ceremony was perfect and I don't think that we could have selected a better Officiant to perform it!!!!!!!

Rev mike is absolutely one of the nicest people. From the time we contacted him her answered us promptly. He is very approachable and made us feel comfortable from the time we met him! He performed a beautiful ceremony incorporated elements we had asked for. The draft was a bit confusing but he was always on top of answering our questions. He reminded us what we needed on our big day. He also contacted us after the wedding and gave us information on how to get our marriage certificate. Thanks rev mike!

I must say Reverend Mike Dixon was such a pleasure to work with! He did absolutely amazing our wedding day and helped my now husband I have a beautiful ceremony at our hotel. We wanted to write our own vows and he incorporated them very well with the traditional vows. There were some points where I forgot to hand my MOH the bouquet and he would direct/guide me flawlessly during the ceremony. Our ceremony went so well! He also spent the amount of time he planned to spend. We ended on time with plenty of time to take pictures after the ceremony.

The only points of improvement I could recommend (for the minus 0.5 star) was the draft script. We were a bit confused about the order of events and needed several revisions before we knew what was going on. It took a little bit of more work to get it the way the traditionally ceremony order is done.

Reverend Mike was also very accommodating for our rehearsal and worked very well with our hotel wedding coordinator the day before to make sure the ceremony would run flawlessly. We also had met with other reverends and typically, they would send a substitute for the rehearsals if they were overly busy. Rev Mike stayed with us the whole entire time and walked us through until the end. Overall, he did an amazing job and made our ceremony a moment to remember. I would highly recommend!

Rev. Mike was fantastic! We received many compliments from our guest on his service. We were rather late in our search for a wedding officiant. Rev. Mike was rather great in helping us through the process. I would definitely recommend him!

Mike was very helpful in putting together a wedding last minute for us! He drafted up our ceremony and was there for us with any questions and suggestions! We had a little hiccup with the marriage certificate (it was lost in the mail) and when I told Mike, he went straight to the Vital Records office to personally sign the marriage certificate for us so we would have it in time before our license was going to expire! Thank you Mike!

My wife and I used Reverend Mike for our wedding, and we couldn't have been happier with him! He was very quick to respond to all emails; he'd usually do so within an hour or so after we wrote him. Also, when we first met him, he gave us a book called "Things I Wish I'd Known Before We Got Married," which was a great resource for helping us learn communication skills and be able to express why we loved each other. After we filled out the ceremony questionnaire he gave us, he prepared a script, and would continuously fine-tune it based on our suggestions. The end result was a very beautiful ceremony that our guests couldn't stop complimenting us on. Thanks Reverend Mike!

Rev. Mike was exactly what we wanted for our wedding. He was so kind and so supportive as we went through the planning process. He was also very flexible, as my husband and I are from different religious backgrounds. He allowed us to customize our ceremony with different religious and cultural traditions, which was very important to us.

It was great working with him because you can just tell he really wants your marriage to succeed. He isn't just trying to work for a half hour on your wedding day; he really wants your big day to be special.

One thing to note: our wedding was fairly informal, so we weren't super concerned about minor stumbles in the ceremony. If, however, you are looking for something more formal and polished, just be sure to be very specific about what you want. He will be sure to incorporate anything you ask him to; we were just more general than we should have been on certain points. Overall though, we were extremely happy with our experience with Rev. Mike!

Best officiant for a dream wedding!!!

I hired Mike Ashland to officiate my recent wedding ceremony. I cannot say enough good things about our experience! From our very first meeting with Mike we knew our search for our wedding officiant was over and we knew we were in very capable hands. Mike did not disappoint. He helped us to craft a wonderful, unique ceremony, specific to us, that went above and beyond the normal traditional vows, etc. Our guests were entertained as well as caught up in the emotion of this one-of-a-kind ceremony.
Mike helped us to craft our vows, which greatly reduced our stress with that daunting task. His services are ridiculously underpriced for the amount of work, heart, and professionalism that Mike brings to the event. In addition to his official duties Mike also arrived early to meet and greet our guests. He is great with technology and even brings his own microphones, speakers, and even acts as DJ. From start to finish, our experience with Mike was the best we could've asked for. I highly recommend his services!!!

Rev. Mike Dixon is one of the nicest people that you will encounter in the wedding business. He genuinely wants you to have a great marriage and engages you like a real person. That meant a lot to me for my wedding.

I feel that he could be more organized and take the groom or bride's requests more seriously. I specifically asked several times that he not read from a paper, especially when talking about my bride and myself in relation to how we met, etc. He looked at his papers and read from it for almost the entire ceremony. Also, the documents he sends are very confusing and full of different colors and highlights. It was a bit hard for me to focus on it, so I ended up re-writing them.

That was my only complaint though. He is a nice guy and even gave us a book as a gift after the ceremony. I think that if he sharpens his "presentation" skills, he'll be great.
