Stress free, fun and professional

Tanesha did mine and my 3 bridesmaids hair. We all loved how our hair styles came out! I received so many compliments on my hair due for my wedding. I did extensions and no one could tell I had them in. My hair stayed the whole day even with the buffalo winds whirling around. I will be using her again this year for my reception. She is well diverse in many different hair types too!

Tanesha and Melinda are awesome! Mine, my sisters and mom's hair and makeup turned out amazing for my wedding and lasted through travel and heat. They were an absolute pleasure to work with, thank you ladies!

Tanesha is outstanding

Every single one of my bridesmaids commented that this was the best experience they had getting their hair done for a wedding. Elegant beyond anything I could have dreamed of. Felt like a princess

The moment you meet Tanesha you know everything is going to be PERFECT! She has years of experience and her positivity radiates every single second you're with her. My hair was beautiful and held up ALL DAY LONG (we're talking 13+ hours in the August heat with curled, long hair). I had four bridesmaids and they all looked stunning! Thank you Tanesha!

The perfect vintage look!

Tanesha and Melinda are true masters of hair and makeup! They did a beautiful job giving me and my girls vintage hair and makeup to make my vision of the theme of our wedding come to life. I felt so beautiful the entire day and it was all thanks to Tanesha and Melinda.

They were professional and made our wedding suite a fun and relaxed place to be. They got everyone done on time and worked wonderfully with our wedding planners.

Hire these ladies if you want flawless wedding hair and makeup!!

Tanesha is AMAZING!

A friend of mine recommended Tanesha and I am so glad I went with her for my wedding day. She is AMAZING! My hair turned out perfect and stayed in place all day! One of my bridesmaids decided the day of that she wanted to get her hair done and Tanesha was kind enough to squeeze her in. She was very professional and kind. I highly recommend her!

Wonderful!

Tanesha was professional, kind, and low key. She was super patient with me and was easy to communicate with on what I was trying to go for. My count changed a few times because of my bridal party changing their mind but she was as cool as a cucumber! Definitely recommend!

Tanesha was professional and attentive. I am so happy I used her on the day of my wedding and all of my bridesmaids loved their makeup. I received numerous complements the day of my wedding. She did an amazing job keeping the makeup looking natural, which is exactly what I had envisioned.

Tanesha did my hair as well as my mother's and my bridesmaids' for my wedding. A week before the wedding we set up a trial and discussed how I would like my hair. This helped make the process go quickly day of. I was so happy with my hair, it was exactly what I wanted. My bridesmaids and mothers loved theirs as well. Tanesha also ended up staying late to help me with my veil. Tanesha also put me in contact with a makeup artist (Melinda) she has worked with in the past. I had two last minute adds for people wanting make-up done and Melinda was able to quickly find someone to help out and both were excellent. I was very happy with the decision to use i DuPretty.

I loved working with Tanesha and her assistant Carmelina. Tanesha was extremely prompt, professional and knowledgeable from the start. She came to my house to do a trial for our engagement shoot. It was a 95 degree day and we were wearing fall clothing (that's Buffalo for you!) and the makeup stayed put the entire time, even throughout blotting and sweating! On our big day, I did a different hairstyle than the one that we did for engagement, and it looked EXACTLY like the picture--I was amazed! My makeup was perfect, it stayed put the entire night and I looked and felt like myself! Tanesha and Carmelina were on time, had all of their tools set up before our scheduled start time, and had fun with us! All of my girls looked amazing and I would highly recommend Tanesha and i DuPretty for any hair and makeup needs!!

Tanesha was, hands down, one of the greatest vendors I worked with through the entire wedding planning process. I will try to make this review short but I just want to express how pleased I was with her service. Tanesha worked with my schedule to find time during the busy summer wedding rush to do my hair and makeup trial. She came to my home, listened to what I wanted, and executed it perfectly. When my wedding day finally arrived she showed up on time and fully prepared to transform my bridal party for the big day. She brought one person with her to assist with hairstyles, Sam, who was just as professional and talented as she is. Both of them got 6 updos and 3 makeup applications done with more than enough time to spare. If you are looking for someone to transform you into the bride you have always dreamed of, Tanesha is the one to choose. She is talented beyond words and I can't say enough about how wonderful of a job she did.

Beyond satisfied with Tanesha and I DuPretty on my wedding day! We used Tanesha and an additional stylist to do my hair as well as 10 bridesmaids and the mother of the groom. They both did amazing work, everyone was extremely happy, everyone looked amazing!!! Working with Tanesha was fantastic, I would recommend her over and over again! You will not be disappointed!

If I could pick one vendor to recommend from my wedding it would 100% be Tanesha! She is incredible!! Not only is she very friendly and easy to work with, but she is also unbelievably talented. For my wedding, she did my hair, some of my bridesmaids, and my mother-in-law, and everyone was thrilled with how their hair turned out. I had been set on wearing my hair down for my wedding, and a few weeks out decided I wanted to wear it up. I was nervous, as my hair was not really as long as it should've been for an updo, but Tanesha somehow made it look like I had a whole lot of hair! My updo was full and gorgeous, and I simply could not have been happier. She also did hair at my sister's wedding and one of our best friends, and I've never heard a negative (or even mediocre) comment about her work or her as a person. You truly can't go wrong with Tanesha!!

I don't know what to say about Tanesha. After a few short months she became more than just my stylist. She was like family! She would call or email to check on me frequently. We worked together to design my wedding look. Her team was equally as fabulous!! She is fabulous!!!

I cannot say enough WONDERFUL things about Tanesha and the beautiful work she does!! I first met her and worked with her when one of my friends hired her for her wedding back in July 2015. All of our hair looked more beautiful than I had ever seen hair look for a wedding! We got so many compliments, and I knew I wanted to have her for my wedding (I started emailing her super early just to be sure she was available!) She came to my house and did a trial and didn't leave until my hair was exactly how I planned. It was nice not having to worry about what we were doing with my hair the day of the wedding, so I could just enjoy the morning. All of my bridal party loved how their hair looked! Tanesha is a wonderful, down to earth person who will make you feel SO beautiful on your big day! She even stuck around a little bit longer to help my put in my veil after I got dressed :) :) I HIGHLY recommend using her services when looking for someone to be a part of your special day. Tanesha is AMAZING at what she does. Her personality makes her more of a friend than a vendor on your wedding day. She is just so happy for YOU and was a wonderful addition while we were getting ready. I couldn't have been happier with my hair on my wedding day. Tanesha was one of the BEST vendors I had - she truly went above and beyond not only to make my hair amazing, but also to take away any stress on my wedding day. Everyone in my wedding party LOVED here and couldn't stop raving about how wonderful, sweet, and thoughtful she was and how much their loved their hairstyles. Tanesha gave everyone exactly the hairstyle that they wanted (and there was a wide variety in my wedding party - from maximum volume to coachella braids). She was completely flexible and supportive when I changed my hairstyle last minute and when my mom and aunt told me the day before the wedding that they wanted Tanesha to do their hair as well. I did a lot of research before booking Tanesha - I read every review of hair stylists available in Buffalo, I asked around for recommendations, and I asked the vendors I had hired or were thinking of hiring for recommendations on hair stylists. After all that I decided to go with Tanesha and as soon as I hired her, I knew I had made the right choice. I got married on the hottest and most humid day in Buffalo history (record-breaking humidity) and Tanesha knew how to account for the weather and make sure everyone's hairstyles stayed in place. I don't have enough superlatives to describe how wonderful Tanesha is - she is a incredibly skilled hairstylist and an incredibly kind person who makes your wedding experience so much better. It is stressful enough planning a wedding and there will always be some vendors who add to your stress - you will be so thankful to have Tanesha there to add peace of mind and reliability in that mix! I generally do not write reviews online, but I couldn't help but write one for Tanesha because she is so amazing!

Working with Tanesha for my wedding day was a fantastic experience. From the moment I showed her a few photos of bridal hair I liked, she knew exactly what my vision was. I was so happy with my trial, and my hair looked incredible on my wedding day. She also did an amazing job with my six bridesmaids, mom and mother in law. My bridesmaids all wore their hair differently - Tanesha gave each of them a unique, fresh look - and they were all super happy! I think there is a lot of terrible bridal hair out there and Tanesha's style is so refreshingly different - it's all about modern elegance and you feel truly glamorous. Tanesha was also a pleasure to work with - fun, professional and friendly - just the kind of person you want to have on your team and spending time with you on your wedding day. She was definitely one of my best vendors and I could not have been happier with her!

I booked Tanesha after reading her positive reviews on facebook and I am glad I did. Tanesha is extremely talented, kind, and funny. My bridal party and I loved having her around the morning of my wedding and she made everyone look and feel beautiful! Not only is Tanesha an amazing hair stylist ... she's also a great person!!! I truly enjoyed my time spent with her during the trial and on my wedding day. Tanesha is super talented and professional yet outgoing. She was great about using the hair styles I found on Pinterest as inspiration. She did two different looks during my trial, took photos, then let me choose which one I wanted to go with on the big day. It turned out that my hair style of choice was a huge hit! It went perfectly with my vintage glam bridal style. I cannot thank you enough, Tanesha. You are the best!! Highly highly recommend.

Tanesha is a hair goddess!!!! She did my hair and my 6 bridesmaids for my wedding and everyone's hair turned out beautifully. She is truly talented and innovative and can give you lots of volume if you're lacking thickness like I am. She also integrates a lot texture in her hairstyles which makes it look modern and classy. For my hair trial she did exactly what I showed her from a picture but after she had left my mom saw it and wanted to see another hairstyle that better suited me. I called Tanesha back and she was able to come back within the hour and redo it without a problem. On the day of I ended up going with the hairstyle she came back for so it was well worth it! If you're a bride in the Buffalo area, be sure to hire Tanesha!

Tanesha is very talented and I'm so happy I was able to work with her on my wedding. She did my hair, as well as three bridesmaids and two mothers. Everyone loved their hair. In fact, one of my bridesmaids is already planning to work with her for her own wedding this fall. Tanesha was very receptive to what everyone wanted and everyone's final styles were each unique but looked cohesive as a group. I felt that I saw so many cookie-cutter styles from other salons and stylists that looked like they were better suited for prom than a wedding. You will not get that from Tanesha - her work is beautiful, romantic, and modern.

I am so thankful that I was able to book Tanesha for my wedding day. She was absolutely amazing I can’t say enough kind things about her not only is she an amazing hairdresser but she is very professional and also a really sweet person. She was very flexible with our schedule and even squeezed a couple extra people in at the last moment. She is very good at listening to what you want and creating the look. She styled all 5 of my bridesmaids with a different hairstyles updos and blowdrys. If there is one thing you don’t want to worry about on your wedding it’s your hair! I wouldn’t think twice about hiring Tanesha if I had to do it all over again

Tanesha came highly recommended by my wedding planner...unfortunately when I called her she was already booked for my wedding date. She could have easily referred me to someone else, but instead was so accommodating and worked me into her schedule! We did a trial run for my bridal portraits to make sure we could come up with something that would look great. I brought several pictures of styles that I liked and she combined all of them to create exactly what I wanted! On the day of the wedding she came over first thing in the morning to do my hair, left to go work on the other bridal party, then was back in time to do touch-ups right before we were heading to the church. My hair stayed put all night and there was not a single piece of frizz showing in my normally very frizzy hair...which is very difficult to pull off in the southern humidity! I would highly recommend Tanesha for any of your hair styling needs!!!

I cannot say enough great things about Tanesha! After months of searching for a hairstylist for my wedding, I came upon Tanesha’s webpage online. After viewing pictures of her work, I immediately knew she was the hairstylist I had been searching for!
I met with Tanesha a month prior to my wedding for a consultation. She made me feel comfortable right away and really took her time to talk with me and get a sense of what I wanted and was able to offer helpful suggestions. We tried a few different hairstyles and by the end of the appointment, I couldn’t decide which hairstyle I wanted because they all looked so great! Tanesha told me that nothing had to be set in stone that day and to go home and think about it.
The day of the wedding Tanesha was prompt and came with her very sweet assistant. She immediately put everyone at ease with her warm, down to earth personality. My bridesmaids have varying types of hair; curly, wavy, straight. Tanesha did a great job consulting with each of the girls and offering helpful suggestions. Everyone’s hair turned out great! My Mom had her hair blown out and I have never seen her hair styled so nicely. Tanesha even stayed a bit past our scheduled time to help me with my veil.
I would without hesitation book Tanesha again. I feel so lucky to have found such a wonderful hairstylist and person to style my hair for my wedding. I hope that many more brides get to experience the talent and expertise of Ms. Tanesha!

Tanesha was so wonderful to work with from beginning to end. She was very responsive and her booking process was very easy. She was very accommodating in scheduling the trial and worked with my make-up artist to do everything on the same day. We had a great time chatting and laughing! I showed her a photo of my dress and explained my taste and she created the most beautiful, perfect hair for me. She also did a wonderful job with my mother and sister that day. Loved Tanesha!!! I was quite indecisive about what I wanted to do with my hair and during my trial Tanesha was so patient and we tried different styles till we found the one!! She was so easy to work with and a joy to be around on my wedding day which was so important to me. Not only did I love my hair but my bridesmaids looked gorgeous as well! My wedding was vintage themed and I already had a hair stylist scheduled to do my hair. I had her do my hair for my engagement photos and honestly the hair stylist didn't do such a good job and wasn't what I wanted so that made me nervous about this person doing my hair for my wedding. As if this wasn't enough, the hair stylist was extremely hard to get a hold of, was rude and never even wanted to schedule a trial hair with. I had a horrible feeling so I began looking for a new hairstylist. Thank God I found "Affair Hair By Tanesha!" I contacted her, she quickly scheduled my trial hair, was energetic, enthusiastic, very polite and extremely professional. She knew what I wanted right away and definitely delivered! She did an awesome job on my vintage up-do for the trial hair and did even BETTER the day of my wedding. She did an amazing job! Made me feel comfortable and calm. Overall happy and satisfied:)

Tanesha was absolutely wonderful!!! She books up fast and so I arranged for her to be there for my wedding almost a year from the event. She is that good!!! I used Tanesha for my May 20th wedding and I am beyond happy I did! Her fingers are her paint brush and my hair was her canvas. She not only did my hair but my mom's and 5 bridesmaids hair. Starting and 10am and finishing around 3pm everyone's hair looked beautiful and freshly done throughout the entire evening. Her updo's were classic but by using braids and curls she added her own romantic twist. With my mom and one bridesmaid she did blow-outs and curls and that evening barely one curl fell out. Tanesha only had to look at a few pictures that I selected to get an idea of what I wanted and she made it happen. She was fun and chatty and helped my keep my calm on my wedding day. She went above and beyond what a normal hairstylist would do and I am very grateful that she was my wedding day stylist!

Tanesha did an absolutely fantastic job on my hair for both my bridal portraits and my wedding day! I have never liked how my hair has been styled for weddings/proms/events in the past, but I was in love with how Tanesha was able to make it look. I have very fine,long hair that always looked flat when styled in the past, but Tanesha was able to give it the body, texture, and style I was looking for. She also did an amazing job with my bridesmaids and was able to create many unique and beautiful styles. Not only is Tanesha talented, young, and fun, but she's also professional and responsible. I would recommend her to anyone looking for an amazing hair stylist.

Tanesha really helped me out when I was in a bind. My hair person dropped out a week before the wedding. In Charleston, most hair and makeup artists are booked a year out. Tanesha had a wedding that afternoon and most artists will not accept more than one wedding in a day so they can focus on one bride. However, she knew I was desperate to help and was able to come to me early in the morning so it did not interfere with her other bride. She did a beautiful job on my hair as well as my daughters. My hair stayed in place all day and evening!!

I was holding a small destination wedding in Charleston, SC. I hired Tanesha to do my hair for the big day. She was very professional from the moment I spoke to her. Since I was not from the area I did not have time to do a trial for my hair. She was very flexible with that. Since I am not familiar with the area it was nice that she came to me to do my hair. I recommend that for any bride so you are not rushing around. On the day of my wedding she arrived on time and gave herself plenty of time to do my hair. She was also very patient and supportive since I was alone and needed to handle one thing with my florist. I did exactly what I wanted and made me look amazing. She was so friendly and helped me relax. When my friends and family back home saw the pictures many complimented me on my hair and could not believe how amazing I looked. A few even asked if that was my real hair. That is how good she made me lookbecause that was all my hair. I was starting to wonder what people were thinking about my hair on a normal day (LOL). I highly recommend Tanesha! She was amazing!

Tanesha is the BEST!!!! It is 5 months after my wedding and my friends are still talking about how great our hair looked! She did my hair for my portraits, then I had another trial, and the wedding day. She listened to what I wanted and was so patient with me. I had a 20s style for my portraits and wore my hair half up for the wedding. My MIL told me yesterday that I should conside wearing my hair in the 20s style more often & my friends keep telling me that too. So Tanesha I will be calling if I ever get pictures taken again! What she pulled off with my hair is amazing! My mom loved her so much that she even got her hair done. Everybody keeps saying mom looked 20 years younger with the hair Tanesha gave her! Tanesha did a great job with my hair as well as my bridesmaids' and moms' hair. Everyone looked great through the entire day, even after dancing for hours and hours into the night. Not only does Tanesha do amazing hair, but she is also so much fun to be around - my bridesmaids had so much fun with her that they were all trying to figure out how to get her to come do their weddings all over the country :). Tanesha was AMAZING!!! She's by far the most talented, creative and prompt hair stylist I've ever known. Throughout the year prior to my wedding, she was extremely responsive to all my inquiries -- including the time she was on maternity leave! She remained calm, cool and collected during every appointment and always created a remarkable hair style. I loved her so much that I asked her to do my hair for my bridal portraits, boudoir photo shoot, rehearsal dinner and (of course) wedding day. Beyond being an incredible hair stylist, Tanesha truly is a wonderful person. I couldn't imagine having had anyone else do my hair during these special times. She even went out of her way the day of the wedding to ensure that everyone had the hair they wanted -- including fitting in a lady who didn't have an appt. slot with her for the day. I was very hesitant about getting my hair done because it has NEVER looked good when I've had it "fixed" for other weddings or events. Tanesha did such an amazing job and I will never go to anyone else if I need my hair done. I am SO GLAD I went with Tanesha and now I am a total convert as far as getting my hair done!
It looked natural and beautiful and I loved loved loved it. I went to Tanesha with a couple of pics, none of which were exactly right, and gave her a vague description of what I wanted. She knew exactly what I meant and my hair looked better than what I had pictured. I would definitely reccomend going in for a trial run because it was such a great feeling on the wedding day to have no anxiety at all about what it was going to look like! Also, Tanesha is so fun that having her around the day we were getting ready just made the time feel that much more like a party! She is absolutely the best and you will not regret having her as part of your big day! Tanesha is nothing short of wonderful!! In addition to being a beautiful person inside and out, she is an artist who assists brides in creating the perfect style accompany their gown. She was so flexible for me. She came to my house the day of my bridal portraits and did a trial run for my hair. It was gorgeous and really provided the finishing touch for my portraits. On my wedding day she came to Kiawah and took care of not only me, but all of my bridesmaids and she was 9 months pregnant!! Not one complaint...she just smiled and laughed and told funny stories all morning long!! Tanesha was fabulous! She traveled to wedding location to do hair for five of us. Best flower girl hairdo I have ever seen! People will be requesting this one if she posts to her website. I would definitely recommend Affair Hair by...Tanesha! She was awesome; I had 7 people getting their hair done and everyone loved their style and they were all different! Not to mention the styles held up all night until 2am and that is hard to do in August in Charleston! Her prices are very reasonable and she works with you to schedule your trial run, which is nice when you are an out of town bride. Overall, I was very pleased with her services and would definitley have her again if I could do it all over!

Tanesha is the best!!!! She did my hair for several events leading up until my wedding, and she did such an amazing job! My hair for my wedding was so perfect. It was exactly what I was picturing, and it was crucial that my hair was fantastic. I decided not to wear a veil, so my hair was really important to me. I had grown my hair out, but I still wanted a little additional length and volume. Tanesha met me a few days before my wedding to match my hair color, then ordered hair pieces for me. She came from Charleston to DeBordieu to do my hair for my rehearsal dinner, and decided to stay that night in a hotel near DeBordieu to sew my hair pieces and be prepared for the morning. This was a big deal, because it was the first night she had been away from her adorable baby!! Another bonus is that I can still wear the little clip in hair pieces. I wear them all the time on the weekends, and they look completely natural and are easy to put in. I would absolutely recommend Tanesha, and next time I am in Charleston, I am hoping that I have an event for her to do my hair!

If you're getting married or have a special event coming up, you need to hire Tanesha to do your hair! She is simply amazing. She's extremely talented, warm, easy to work with, has wonderful ideas and an incredible work ethic. I sent her some photos of hair ideas and she came through with an awesome style for my wedding. I felt like a dressed-up version of "me". You'll feel at ease with her as she works her magic and will be thrilled when you see the finished product in the mirror!

Meeting and working with Tanesha was wonderful! She was easy and fun to talk to, was always quick to respond to my emails with helpful information, and made my hair look beautiful - twice! I had originally picked out an updo for my wedding, and on our trial run she made my hair look exactly like the magazine picture I had torn out. Then at the last minute, I asked if she could do a different style with my hair down. With such a friendly and understanding spirit, she again made my hair look exactly like the (new!) picture I showed her. I can't tell you how comforting it was to have someone as nice and talented as Tanesha to help me get ready for the big day!!
