the BEST downtown greenville venue!

Truly the most beautiful and convenient location in downtown to get married! Plenty of nearby parking for guests, surrounded by hotels for wedding blocks. We loved this location since our early days of dating when we went to a wedding there, and our guests were all in awe at the beautiful venue and views. The bar service was phenomenal, and the whole HL staff were great! We are so glad we got married here!!

The Huguenot Mill and Loft is absolutely amazing! Chelsy was amazing to work with. She responded so quickly, had answers to all of my questions, and made sure everything was easy for me! Not to mention, the venue is absolutely beautiful. Guests would not stop complimenting the venue. Highly recommend!

Wedding Ceremony and Reception

Our daughter’s dream was to have her wedding and reception at the Huguenot Loft in downtown Greenville, SC. Our consultant, Chelsy Cox, helped us make that dream a reality, creating a beautiful and timeless memory for the bride and groom and their families and friends! The Huguenot Loft provides a list of top quality vendors in the areas of event coordinating, catering, and rentals to make your occasion a success. Because of this, we were able to relax the week of the wedding focused on enjoying the special occasion, not stressing over the logistics involved in pulling off such an occasion. The beautiful venue is perfectly situated in the heart of downtown reflecting Greenville’s charm and proving excellent photo ops inside and out! After months of planning and imagining and then to see it all come to fruition is indescribable, like a fairytale come true! We highly recommend the Huguenot Loft - a place to make your dreams a beautiful, memorable, timeless reality!

We worked with Billy or our wedding October 14th, 2017 and he was absolutely amazing! He was so flexible on meeting times as I was coordinating with my now husbands schedule and my mother’s schedule. He was also responsive and available. He drafted up multiple layouts and plans for us to look at to use for the tables etc. I felt very comfortable asking him anything we needed and they really went above and beyond to make the day special! He had a list of recommended bands, food, and wedding planners that all knew the space well and had great reviews. He also had personal relationships with people at these vendors that helped a lot. We were able to meet with our florist in the space to go over layouts and when other family members wanted to see the space he was more than accommodating. We were also able to get in the night before to do the rehearsal even though we had not booked for that time! They were able to get all of our vendors in and set up (with it being fall for Greenville weekend!). All of our guests had nothing but great things to say about how the place looked, the service etc. I would book this place again in a heartbeat for any event I may be having.

Billy from the Huguenot is a rockstar! The venue is beautiful, but more importantly it was great to work with someone as professional and attentive as Billy on such an important day. He was there from start to finish with a smile on his face and happy to assist in any way he could. I recommend the Huguenot to any bride and groom seeking a stunning backdrop and accommodating staff for their big day!

We worked with Billy for our ceremony/reception. We were sold on the venue as it is such a beautiful/spacious location, but the service is what made us most pleased. Billy and staff went above and beyond to make sure our day was special, even working with us to ensure we maximized hours when we ran into rain and other hiccups. The flexibility and kindness helped to make our wedding stress free. Sometimes I can't believe I was even nervous about our big day in the first place! The execution on their part was flawless. I would recommend this venue/team to anyone who is looking to ensure their event is magic. 10/10 would recommend!

We absolutely loved having our wedding reception at the Huguenot Loft. We were going for a modern minimalism aesthetic as we're simply not into a lot of decor fuss. The exposed brick, hardwood floors and a few personal touches made it quite elegant. In addition, our contact at the Peace Center was prompt, professional and clear in our communications. The location was also lovely as our guests were able to go downtown after the reception, and walk to their downtown hotels safely. Recommended!

The Huguenot Loft is a beautiful venue and provides a beautiful "blank slate" to design your perfect venue. We had both our wedding and reception at the Loft and they were both absolutely beautiful and the flip from the ceremony to reception went so smoothly! I worked with Lauren at the Loft and she was always very quick to respond to my questions. The Loft gives you guidelines to follow up-front which makes the planning process very easy. I would highly recommend the Huguenot Loft for your wedding and reception.

The Huguenot Mill & Loft was really great and flexible to work with while I was planning my Greenville, SC wedding from Maryland. I was only able to come and see the space once before I was married there, but I always had a contact to talk to about any questions. They even drew up a custom layout in a blueprint of their space so I could picture how it would look. On the day of, they had someone helping my coordinator do everything from tablecloth set up to tying little ribbons. They had bottles of water waiting for the wedding party and were helpful with anything I could need. Aside from the service, the venue was a beautiful space for both the ceremony and reception. It is indoor, air conditioned, but has huge beautiful windows to look out over the Reedy River. It was perfect to capture a rustic ambiance without being too country. It felt upscale and formal, but also comfortable!

Beautiful venue for both wedding/reception for my daughter. The flip was flawless. They provide the bar items and servers which I did not hear any negative from our guests, only great selection and quantity. They do have restrictions, but it all worked out and I understand reasoning. The only draw back is that the deposit is non-refundable and also because it was the holiday weekend we had to pay additional, even though we were not married on the holiday itself, the Saturday was considered holiday. We had 200+ guests and this venue was perfect for size and location. Lauren was GREAT to work with and given a bump during the reception, she was great to keep the Bride, myself and guests calm.

Our daughter was married in a nearby church on Jan. 3, 2015, but we hosted the wedding reception immediately after at Certus Loft. I honestly cannot think of a more perfect venue for our event. We had 180 guests for a cocktail hour and sit down dinner, followed by dancing with a band. The two rooms felt spacious and open, yet intimate.

I loved that the servers were not bumping chairs and asking us to pass plates as is sometimes neccessary when there's a crowd. We had the cocktail hour and band/dance floor in one room, and dinner in the other. The band had plenty of space, there was room to add comfortable seating areas in the bar/dance room, and also plenty of room to dance, walk around, and mingle.

We wanted the reception to have a rustic elegance about it, and that's exactly what we got. The brick walls, arches, harwood floors and view of the river all contributed to the feel we were going for. Our floral designer (Modfete) did an amazing job in capturing the look we had envisioned. Shelley (Loft Events Coordinator) booked additional lighting for us (from Optrics) and the Edison bulb string lights in the dinner space made it all feel more dreamy.

My daughter (the bride) and I both said we would not change a single thing. There are not many events you can say that about, particularly when it comes to weddings. We received so many compliments on the venue itself, and as a bonus, our many out of town guests were booked in the Courtyard Marriott right across the street, which you cannot beat for convenience.

We essentially had a destination wedding as neither the bride nor the groom were living in Greenville during the planning season. We (the bride's parents) are also many states away, but communicated regularly via phone and email with Shelley (Loft Events), and our wedding planner (the fabulous Allie at Upstate IDO). They work well together, and took care of so much on our behalf. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend, or use this space again myself.

The Huguenot Mill was the absolute perfect location for our wedding. It has been over 2 months since our wedding, and I am still getting feedback from guests about how incredible the venue was for the wedding. Not only was it beautiful, but the staff was incredible. Working with Shelley and Chelsy was so great, and they were always willing to meet with us. They went above and beyond to make the day so special and effortless. I can't imagine working with a more wonderful team of people and venue!

We LOVED having our reception at the Certus Loft. My family & friends were all traveling in from across the country, so we wanted our festivities to be centralized in downtown Greenville, and you really can't beat this location if you're looking in the downtown area.

Weddings are expensive, and this venue isn't going to be an area where you cut costs... but they are very much in line with others we looked at. We booked nearly a year in advance, which allowed us to go under contract using their 2012 rates for our November 2013 wedding. We also took advantage of their rental discount package to save $100 on rentals. We rented all of our tables, chairs, & bar setup through them, which I preferred over using an outside vendor (saved me from paying a separate delivery fee & having to coordinate yet another vendor). We had just over 200 guests, and the table & chair inventory available was perfect for our needs (we did food stations, so not everyone needed an assigned seat at a table). The bar package was very reasonable, and being tax-free helped keep costs down as well.

They were very responsive with all of my questions, and delivered 100% on the wedding day. The set-up went smoothly with all the tables & chairs in their place when the caterer & wedding coordinator arrived. The clean-up at the end of the night was done in under an hour with the help of the Certus Loft staff & my wedding coordinator.

There is no parking at this venue, so guests have to find their own parking around downtown or you have to rent parking in a nearby lot. We chose to let people find parking on their own, and they all made it to the reception, so I dont think it is as big a deal as I originally thought.

So many people who attended our wedding have described it as "perfect" and I would have to agree! The space at the Loft is ample for any size event, and it is so beautiful that you can really turn it into whatever you want it to be.

Beautiful venue. Shelley was very helpful with accommodating our requests and communicating. The venue is very pricey, and we ended up incurring significant additional costs along the way with decor/the stage/etc, but this was worth it to execute the most beautiful event I have ever seen. The lighting and flowers in the Huguenot Loft look beautiful. I would recommend it to anyone.

We are so thrilled to have snuck in on a Sunday for our wedding reception. We booked the space almost a year in advance and didn't worry about a thing. We love the Peace Center, and the loft was a perfect space for the amazing party we had - and using the conference room downstairs as a kid's room was AMAZING. Such a great location and we love knowing the money goes to the arts!

This was our first decision in wedding planning for our big day. I worked with Carrie initially and Shelley for most of the process leading up to our big day. Shelley was responsive and helped me organize all of the details and many vendors for our wedding reception. The Loft looked absolutely amazing! I received compliments on the nice bar staff and how awesome the entire venue looked. I would highly recommend an event at the Huguenot Loft & Mill!

We had our wedding and reception at the Huguenot Loft and it was perfect! Our guests loved the downtown setting, especially those from out of town. With the string lights and up lighting, the Loft looked beautiful. Working with Carrie was like a dream! She is such a sweet and positive person, she made our experience a great one. I would recommend this location to anyone looking for a fabulous wedding or reception location. And, if you get married on a Friday, you get a discount!

The Huguenot Loft was a PERFECT venue for our reception! It allowed us to have exactly what we wanted for our venue....somewhere that could be rustic and elegant all at the same time! Its open and the character of the building is something that we could not find anywhere else. We have had so many compliments on the venue and Carrie at the Peace Center was so easy and fun to work with! She was able to offer recommendations for other vendors as well as the whole "Look" for our wedding and we appreciate her help so much! The Loft is a wonderful, beautiful and unique venue and I would have to say the best venue in Greenville!!

This was the PERFECT venue for our wedding and reception! We were able to have both in this space and it worked out beautifully! The space decorates itself with the beams and exposed wood. Our guests loved it!

If you are looking for a all in one ceremony and reception venue Look no further. This place is AMAZING it has two very seperate but together spaces. That make for the perfect combination. We had the wedding in the carpeted room and it was amazing with candles made it so romantic. We had the reception on the hardwood floor side with huge windows overlooking the Reedy River. The price can't be beat for the location right downtown. If you want an amazing all in one venue you can't go wrong here!! Beautiful!!!

What a beautiful facility and such professional staff! Chelsy was so easy to work with - helpful, knowledgeable, and responsive. My daughter's wedding day went by without a hitch thanks to her coordination of our vendors. The bar staff as well was efficient and professional!

The Certus Loft is absolutely beautiful. It is a blank slate, so you can go in any direction you would like with themes. I cannot say too many great things about Lauren and Chelsey. They are so professional, and always there to help out with anything you need. Lauren was so sweet and patient; we reconfigured our floor plan at least 3 times and each time she edited and promptly sent us an email with the updated layout. Our reception was wonderful and everyone absolutely loved the space. The only thing I can say in terms of words of caution is: If you are not a planner or you are looking for a more inclusive venue, the Certus Loft is not for you. We liked the fact that we could make it our own and look very unique. However, if you are not willing to put in the planning/work on decor yourself, I would suggest finding a more inclusive venue.

This venue is absolutely beautiful and was the perfect place for our ceremony and reception. We knew we wanted something downtown since we had a large number of out-of-town guests and this was the perfect place. I can't even count the number of comments we got on how pretty the space was.

We had right around 200 guests and used one side for the ceremony and then moved over to the 2nd section for the reception. We did add a few tables to the ceremony side as well once everyone had moved over for the cocktail hour. Everything was flawless. Shelley and Chelsy were so nice during the planning process, always taking the time to answer our questions and offer suggestions...and Chelsy even helped setup the extra tables after the ceremony when the vendor didn't show up! The customer service was excellent.

Do keep in mind that the rental price is for the space only. Everything else (furniture, linens, labor,etc.) is additional, but the prices seemed competitive with what you'd be paying elsewhere. The benefit is that you truly get to make your wedding reflect your personal style and handpick exactly what you want on the big day. This venue was perfect for us since we didn't want a cookie-cutter look. I'm so glad we chose the Certus Loft for our special day and I can't say thank you enough to the staff who helped make it happen!

The most perfect wedding! :)

The Huguenot Mill & Loft was a perfect place to have our wedding! It was a beautiful space and had multiple spaces to make the whole event flow well (ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception). The staff were all very nice.

Wonderful people to work with!

We absolutely loved working with the folks at the Huguenot Mill and Loft--they're incredibly organized, professional, and so so kind! Our primary point of contact left the Loft before our wedding, but a coworker of his picked up our event and everything progressed seamlessly. I was very impressed. The Loft has limited caterer/coordinator options but their recommendations for who to work with turned out wonderfully and we wouldn't have changed a thing. I would highly recommend this team to anyone getting married or having another event!

Great Location

While my fiancé and I ultimately selected another venue for our wedding, I felt like I needed to rave about how wonderful the staff at the Huguenot are! They were so responsive to both my fiancé and I, they had answers for all of our questions and when we took a tour of the space Leila was so knowledgeable and answered all of our questions before we even had to ask them. She told us about all of our options and walked us through every space. The only reason we decided to go with another venue was because we found a space we loved just as much as the Huguenot that was a better fit for our budget and family needs. I highly recommend putting the Huguenot on your list of vendors to check out for your wedding. So beautiful and the staff is amazing.

I loved having both our ceremony and rehearsal at the Huguenot! It is so beautiful with the exposed brick and wood beams - it was just our style! I loved the setup - it is two rooms almost in a T shape so it was great for both! We worked with Chelsy and she was great about keeping us informed about deadlines and costs. It was a little upsetting finding out a couple months before the wedding when trying to book hotels that there was a huge convention in town the same weekend. It all worked out but it made accommodations a little more difficult. It is a little more on the pricey side and because there is not much included in the price, you have to bring in all your own vendors but the bar. If we would have had the choice I would have wanted to bring in our own bar staff - there was an older woman who was very rude to our guests, telling them she thought they needed to slow down after two drinks. We did not think that was very appropriate or professional seeing as how we were paying them thousands of dollars. Other than that it was a great experience and I would definitely not have done anything differently. We loved the Huguenot and would recommend it to anyone!

We had a great time at the Certus Loft. Everything was handled with a high level of professionalism, and it turned out to be a perfect day. The venue is a perfect space and makes a great way to have the ceremony and reception in the same place. We highly recommend Huguenot Mill and Certus Loft for any event.

I feel so blessed to have been able to have my wedding ceremony and reception at the Huguenot Loft. It's a beautiful venue - the brick walls, hardwood floors, and view from the windows is stunning. It requires little decorations because the bare bones are so pretty, however it lends itself to fitting in different themes as well. There are several paintings hung in the venue itself that seem to be engineering/industrial themed, showing nails, screws, etc. The three that are positioned where the "altar" would be can be removed by an employee of the Huguenot, however there is one large painting in the back that cannot be taken down. I would have preferred to have some sort of covering or the option to remove the big painting at the back, as it did not fit with my theme and seems out of place for a venue that hosts many weddings.
Shelley, the event coordinator, is wonderful. She is available at any time to answer the many, many questions you will have as a bride. She never seemed to get frustrated or tired of my endless questioning, and was very helpful when determining a floor plan, decor options, etc. She truly made the entire process easier. The entire staff remained professional throughout the process as well. As far as value, I do feel that the venue is appropriately priced given its close proximity to downtown Greenville, the location on the river, and the character of the venue. However, they do require that your caterer pay 10% of the total cost of food to them, which in turn increases the amount you have to pay to your caterer. As far as flexibility, I felt like the venue fit into the rustic theme of my wedding decor wise. However, for anyone wanting to have more than simple decorations, there are limitations to what can be done in the space (hangings, lighting, etc.).

I loved having my reception at the Huguenot Loft! Their staff were wonderful to work with as I planned my wedding, and the venue itself was beautiful on our wedding day. I loved the brick walls, ceiling beams and huge windows in both of the rooms; it was perfect for our reception!

This was the perfect space for our reception. It was like a beautiful blank canvas. I loved getting to really create the look I wanted for our day without having to compete with any decorations already in place. It was elegant and rustic at the same time and just absolutely beautiful. We appreciated the input of the on site event contact as she made helpful suggestions on how to best utilize the space based on what worked in the past.

While the Loft requires you to go through them for rentals, anything special that I wanted that they didn't have in house we were allowed to bring in ourselves. They were also very strict about the bar however in the end (for an additional cost) we ended up with the perfect customized package that covered all our needs for the entire event (signature cocktail, full open bar, plus wine service during dinner).

On the day, I loved walking in and seeing the space transformed into my dream reception with flowers and twinkle lights. It worked out so well to have dinner service in one half and the bar/band/dance/lounge space in the other half of the room. I loved that it didn't feel too crowded and that we got the most out of the space. I couldn't have asked for a better location for our reception. It really was the venue of my dreams.

I could not have been happier with The Certus Loft. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful throughout the entire planning process. They worked well with my vendors and were very accommodating to all of my wants and needs. I would highly recommend them to any bride!

Beautiful venue

Beautiful venue! Bar service great! Beautiful views of Reedy river and Greenville city. Very spacious and the brick and wooden floor from original mill added so much!

We used the Loft for my daughter's reception and were very pleased. It was open and roomy for guests. It's natural beauty were a compliment to our decorations. The staff was very easy to work with and joined in our excitement. It is sometimes difficult to schedule set-ups due to conflicts at the Peace Center, but i feel they tried very hard to work with me. I would love to see the use of tables and chairs be included in the price, or at least at a discounted rate from other vendors. Overall, it was a great experience and I would highly recommend them.

Huguenot Loft was my ideal reception venue! I absolutely loved the space and the overall feel of it when it was all decorated. The event manager was extremely helpful and easy to work with. The only negative thing I have to say is that we were given a very small window of time for set-up and clean up due to their busy events schedule. It was a great space and I highly recommend the Huguenot Loft to anyone looking for a something with a rustic industrial feel. n

The loft is an incredible place for a wedding reception. Just be prepared to spend significant time and money on rentals. You are required to rent loft supplied tables and chairs if possible - which complicates getting the rental numbers correct with your outside vendor.

The bar charges were probably the most reasonable. We chose to pay per attendee. But, you need to include the cost of renting a bar and paying for the bartenders - service at the bars was terrific - but total bar time is limited to 4 hours (work that into your time line - esp if including a cocktail hour and band.)

Also, you need to add 10% to the total cost of any catering - as the loft requires a donation from the caterer to the Peace Center.

I wish I could show you the pictures from the event - it was an incredibly beautiful location - and yes, I would do it again (just with open eyes - and no surprises!)

Huguenot Loft is an incredible space in downtown Greenville. The hardwood floors, floor to ceiling glass windows, and brick interior make for an elegant location to have an event. But be warned, it's a blank palette. You have to determine all of your lighting needs, set up, drapes (if you want them), etc. It's literally just a space with 2 open rooms. The good news is that the previously carpeted room has now been converted to hardwood floors. More work is in store for the future, but so far, all enhancements have made the space even better.

Cons: Caterers aren't big fans of the space because there is no working kitchen - the food needs to be prepared off-site (or outside of the building). Furthermore, there is a 10% catering fee. This seems a little ridiculous as you rent the space, the Loft provides next to nothing, and yet somehow they require a 10% "tax" on your overall food and beverage total. This adds up quickly!

Folks at the Loft are absolute sticklers about the contract. Space is reserved in 10 hour blocks. That typically means 6 hours total for set up and break down and 4 hours for the event. Any extra time you need means you pay an extra $200+ fee (per hour!). They will NOT let your vendors in before the allotted time. This is most important when planning larger events...we had 225 guests, and that meant that the caterer, rental company, florist, DJ, and Band all had to come in within the same 2.5-3 hour set up time to get things ready before our event. Glad I wasn't there to see this, as I'm sure my stomach would have been in an absolute knot - but it all got done and was done beautifully.

There may be better locations in Greenville for your value (it's not cheap!), but the Loft can be an absolutely stunning place for an event - as it was for our wedding reception. Book early, space here fills up quickly. Also, build in more miscellaneous expenses for using this venue, as something will come up (i.e. more lighting, more tables, etc).

We've had some up and downs with our venue. We were never told some of the major constraints on the layouts when they knew we were planning on 200+ guests, band, and ceremony all to be the venue. Now - we are working with someone new at the loft who is making what we originally wanted come to life which has been such a relief! I hope that I can come back and change my review because things seem to be turning up.
