  I had a great experience at the house of Hines! They had the most beautiful dresses and all very affordable. I never knew that detailed and beautiful dresses could be in my budget. And the lady’s that worked there were awesome!!! Not pushy at all and very helpful! I loved my experience there!

  House of Hines is a family-run business. They are very professional and offer expert advice. They carry name brand dresses and formalwear. I bought my Maggie Sottero wedding gown from them and I absolutely love it. I shopped for a wedding dress in Atlanta as well but ended up going back to House of Hines for the Maggie Sottero dress that I loved. My fiancé and our wedding party are getting their formalwear from House of Hines, too! Great business!

  Our bride found the designer gown she wanted, and when no other salon in the SE would order it without a commitment, House of Hines graciously agreed to do so....because it was a beautiful Maggie Sottero gown and they knew they could sell it. Of course when it arrived the bride loved the gown, and loved the veil the owner selected to go with the gown. Don't fight with the crowd in the big city stores or pay big city prices....House of Hines is a truly elegant salon and will not disappoint.

  I got my dress, bridesmaid dresses, and tuxedos from here. The staff was very kind and knowledgable. The girls who work there have not been there too long. One said they all have been working there for a year and a half. You would have never known. I had no problem getting an appointment and the had lots of dresses in my $1000 budget. I really encourage everyone to go there. Much better service than the big box stores. The tuxedos were the the best price around. wespent $80 for each tuxedo. I willcome here for all my formalwear needs!

  Unfortunately, I did not find my dress here.. However I was upfront about my budget & the sales lady was extremely helpful. I didn't have a set $$ to spend, however I am not one to splurge on something like a dress, so I told her I did not feel comfortable spending more then $300 on a dress for one use & I am no planning on reselling it.
  
  She took me back & showed me what she had, how ever nothing was in my size, style & price range. A few dresses where there in my range, but not lace like I longed for.
  
  She was very honest with me about not being able to find anything in my price right now... However she was extremely helpful in directing me to some other shops that might have what I was looking for! She gave me her card & told me if I was ever in Macon again (we drove about 2 hours to go dress shopping) that if I even just needed to know where anything was to call her.
  
  Also, I did not have an appointment, but when I called, she said if I was patient, she could squeeze me in for sure. I really only waited like 5 minutes once we arrived.
  
  I only saw one main room to look at dresses with your family & friends, (for them to look at you I mean) however that is why it's appt. only.

  We used House of Hines for tux rentals for the father-of-the-bride, for the groom, and for the best man. The father-of-the-bride and the best man's tuxes were huge. They were so enormous such that we had to pin them at the back and to eventually take off the tux jackets. The looked fine when they were pinned, but they were super big and couldn't be worn without being pinned. This was slightly irritating for us because all three tuxes were sized to the man that was wearing it, and even though we were warned to try on the tuxes before the wedding (which we failed to do--our fault), they should have fit better given that they were sized. Other than that we were satisfied.
  
  They looked great, they were clean, and the folks at the House of Hines were very accommodating.

  House of Hines was not what I expected. They were rude to some members of my wedding party and misplaced several of my tuxedo orders. They even implied to one of my bridesmaids that they weren't sure that they could get a dress large enough for her and she's not even that big!

  They messed up several of our groomsmen tuxes (the pants looked like a tent on them). They also didn't have the tuxes in when we asked, which was super important to us because we were getting married out of town. I wouldn't use them again most likely.

  Wedding Photos Forever Ruined

  We used House of Hines for the Groom’s Party at our wedding. When the suits came in, a groomsman’s suit pants were not the correct length. Also, the best man’s suit had two different color accessories and the pants did not fit based on the measurements that were done. When the best man went back to pick up the suit, he tried on the pants and they fit. On the day of our wedding, we discovered that the jacket that he previously tried on and was the correct fit, had been switched to a jacket that was way too small. This was discovered less than two hours before our wedding. House of Hines had someone bring the correct jacket to our wedding venue and later refunded the best man. My husband and I reached out to House of Hines because we were extremely displeased and felt that we should have received some sort of refund. Although, the best man was refunded, the bride and groom were the most impacted. The stress, panic, disappointment that we endured, in addition to the wedding photos that were ruined due to one person not having a jacket on were astronomical. I expressed my frustration and was told that there was nothing they could do. I asked to speak with someone in a position to make it right, and was told I was speaking with the correct person. I am very disappointed. We did not have to receive a full or partial refund for the groom, but they should have at least offered us a restaurant gift card or something. We chose House of Hines for our wedding and we were impacted by our best man not having a jacket during our wedding ceremony. Our ceremony pictures will be forever ruined by their error. Any gesture would have been appreciated, but they were unwilling. I will not refer anyone to House of Hines and will warn people not to use them in the future.

  Bad Experience at House of Hines

  I decided to check out House of Hines for my first stop of trying on wedding dresses because I had bought both of my prom dresses from there back in high school (mind you this was around 12 & 13 years ago, respectively).
  
  From the get go, when I called to schedule an appointment, Daisy who answered the phone was extremely rude and seemed very put off that I wanted to make an appointment to come try on dresses.
  
  When we got there for our appointment, we waited for 10 minutes before someone came to greet us. During the try-on session, the girl helping me, Elissa, was very rude. Didn't help me in/out of dresses and basically told me in a very condescending (think Pretty Woman) way that I would have to wear a size 22+ because I have a chest and butt.
  
  Basically, to put it in short, due to the horrendous customer service I received, HoH has lost a long time customer.
