A Perfect NYE Wedding at The Hotel Northampton!
We had our wedding at the Hotel Northampton on New Year’s Eve (12/31/24), and it truly could not have been more unforgettable. From start to finish, the entire experience was absolutely flawless. My wife, our families, and all of our friends had an amazing time, and we are still hearing from guests about how beautiful and fun the night was.
The hotel itself is elegant, timeless, and full of charm. It provided the perfect backdrop for a romantic winter wedding, and having everything under one roof made it incredibly convenient for us and our guests.
A huge shoutout to the entire staff, who went above and beyond to make sure everything ran smoothly. In particular, Ruby Meng was outstanding—her professionalism, responsiveness, and genuine care made the planning process seamless and stress-free. She was a joy to work with and made us feel completely supported every step of the way.
All of the recommended vendors were top-notch and worked together beautifully. The hotel’s attention to detail and coordination helped everything come together without a hitch.
If you’re considering Hotel Northampton for your wedding or any special event, do not hesitate. It’s a beautiful venue with a stellar team that truly delivers unforgettable experiences.

Beautiful venue
The hotel was beautiful and Ruby and Alex made our night perfect! They handled so many details and made sure I didn’t have to worry. This venue is stunning and the service was above and beyond! -

Perfect Wedding Spot
Such an amazing spot to have a wedding! Carly the venue coordinator was amazing to work with and helped us plan our dream wedding. The day went very smooth thanks to Carly and all the Staff. The food and drinks were excellent and the ballroom setup/decor was beautiful. We received many compliments from our guests on the night. The hotel has many great spots to take photos too. The Hotel Northampton was a perfect place to hold our wedding, thank you! -

You’ll feel so special
Ruby was our lifesaver! Our first venue unexpectedly decided to go up for sale which left us scrambling to find a place that we loved. From our first meeting Ruby’s calm demeanor made us feel welcome and secured. Every meeting thereafter was always informative and she really worked with our schedules and questions. The day of she made sure we stayed close to our schedule and was always very responsive in all emails and phone calls leading up to the big day. The packages that the hotel has was very easy to understand and the vendors that they work with are incredible at their craft and everyone truly loves what they do! -

A perfect wedding celebration
My husband and I truly loved every minute of our wedding at The Hotel Northampton. The food was awesome and so many people complimented us on the food and environment. The staff was perfect and Carly was amazing at coordinating all of the details. We had 150 people and they fit very well in the ballroom and the décor was beautiful and did not require too much extra decorating or lighting. We would highly recommend this venue for a wedding or large gathering to family, friends, and anyone else in need of a wonderful event space. Thank you so much!! -

Best Place to hold a wedding EVER!
I’m so very grateful that the bride and groom decided to choose this wonderful place! It really was beautiful. The charming details, the warmth and old-fashioned luxury, a sense of history. While at the same time, down to earth, warm and welcoming. We slept great, we enjoyed all the food (breakfast at the restaurant, the wedding meal). The staff was courteous and efficient. Carly Heath was stupendous--keeping us informed about each of the decisions on the way, and helping us meet our goals. It was really nice to be able to taste everything at the yearly bridal event, and choose that special cake. It was particularly convenient that our ceremony was walking distance away (First Churches). There’s lots to do in the Northampton area, and the guests who came from afar really enjoyed themselves. Spot on! Couldn’t ask for more! Just so pleased.

Exceptional Venue!
The Hotel Northampton and Ruby Meng are an amazing team. They made the wedding process for us so seamless even with a postponement for the pandemic which was no easy task. Working with Ruby gave us such confidence for our big day. Ruby was always available to keep us updated or answer any questions. We had several meetings throughout the two year process and she was always honest with us as she helped us navigate what to do. She also gave great honest advice when it came to planning the final details. Coming from someone who knew everything the Hotel Northampton had to offer best, it was so helpful.
The Hotel Northampton was also very accommodating to anything we asked. Ruby always took the time to look into it and never let us down as she figured out how to incorporate everything.
This seamless process continued right to the big day. From handling all our decorations and welcome bags to putting on the perfect evening for our guests, their service is unmatched. Their wedding packages have so much to offer that many venues will itemize but here they have a level of service they want to deliver and it ensures an absolutely elegant evening. All our guests were so impressed which was so exciting to hear.
Behind the scenes was no different, Ruby had everything going so perfectly there was no stress for us. We got to enjoy every moment of our wedding which was so appreciated. Ruby was truly amazing to work with.

Wonderful!
Ruby and everyone at Hotel Northampton truly made our wedding perfect. They were so easy to communicate with, always responsive when I had questions or concerns, and kept me updated the entire way. Planning a wedding during a pandemic was a challenge. But Ruby and the rest of the people at Hotel Northampton made us so much easier! I can’t thank them enough. -

Amazing Experience
Ruby was exceptional in every single way. She made the process so seamless for my husband and I. I was searching for a relatively inclusive venue and the Hotel was just that. Could Not Have Been More Perfect!
My now husband and I could not be more grateful for the entire team at The Hotel Northampton! We got married on June 12th, 2021. Ruby was phenomenal during the whole experience, especially since we were planning the whole thing from Greenville, SC. And during COVID. She chatted with us via Zoom and nailed everything down, even last minute shipping and requests for a different colored linen. Ruby also framed a picture of our dog that was sent from her boarding hotel so we could have our "little girl" be apart of the wedding. Ruby helped me find so many amazing vendors from the DJ to the killer photographer. The day was perfect even when we decided to move in the ceremony inside. Thank you again Ruby and the entire team! Also, the server Cara was hilarious and waited on me and us all weekend.

Magical wedding at The Hotel Northampton!
Big shout out to the Marketing Director Ruby Meng! Ruby was with us every step of the way since day one, always with prompt communication. We never received "no" as an answer going through the planning of our wedding. Ruby was so flexible and helpful with our program schedule, menu selection, collaborating with the rest of the vendors, organizing our rehearsal dinner, and accommodating our guests at the hotel. She also gave us great recommendations for additional services that happen during a wedding day. All of our guests complimented the reception, the staff, and the food service! My husband and I are so happy that we celebrated our special day at The Hotel Northampton and we highly recommend it - great value! Absolutely Magical Experience
Hotel Northampton made our wedding day perfect beyond words can describe. Between how the day flowed, the tables, decorations, food, cake, and just the overall professionalism with the staff. The hotel made us special accommodations with an important family member who had server diet restrictions and it was so late minute. Ruby Meng and her staff made sure our guest was comfortable and the food she ate fit with her needs. We had a small intimate wedding, around 39 guests, and I have to say picking the grand ball room was the best decision ever. It was so beautiful, magical, and romantic. Our honeymoon suite was gorgeous and just a lovely way to wake up to after you married your best friend. I highly recommend anyone to work with this venue; it’s just an incredible experience. We will for sure be back for special occasions. Thank you again to the staff and the hotel for the most wonderful experience!-

Best wedding ever!
Everything about our wedding reception at Hotel Northampton was perfect! Lorraine was so helpful every step of the way. The entire staff was welcoming and kind, and I can't say enough good things about the service. The food was excellent, we even had some guests tell us it was the best wedding food they have ever had! It was worth every penny, and I am so so happy we chose Hotel Northampton! -

Hotel Northampton made my wedding dreams come true!
My wedding planner Lorraine was such a huge help to me through the whole wedding process. I used some recommended vendors and some of my own and everything went perfectly. On the day of my wedding Lorraine really took control of everything and made sure everything went perfectly. And it did! I had the most BEAUTIFUL wedding reception I have ever seen. The food was amazing, and everyone loved the open bar (of course!). And following the reception, we all went to the tavern also in the hotel to have one last drink. The venue is absolutely beautiful and well kept. The staff is AMAZING. During the planning, we worked with Lorraine. She was very responsive and clear and made the whole process very easy. My son Just had his wedding at the Hotel Northampton. Ruby and Lorraine could not have been more attentive and professional. PERFECT! I could go on and on about every detail but perfect sums up our wedding weekend at The Hotel Northampton. From Lorraine's responsiveness and attention to detail, to guest accommodations, to quality of food and service, we couldn't be happier. It truly was the best night ever and knowing that we did not have to worry about a thing made it so much more enjoyable for us. We continue to receive calls and texts from guests about how it was the best wedding they've ever been to. We can't say enough great things about our experience with Hotel Northampton! We had our rehearsal dinner and a welcome reception the night before our wedding at Wiggins Tavern, and our wedding ceremony and reception in the Grand Ballroom. Ruby and Lorraine were incredible throughout the entire process! Working through the planning process was incredibly easy and organized. They were both so responsive, and worked with us on some of our more creative requests. As the weekend got closer we dropped everything off with them, gave them very little direction, and everything was perfect - exactly as we wanted! They were there all day to help us and to help point our vendors in the right direction. They organized our ceremony processional and our introduction into the reception, and they checked in with us regularly throughout the day to make sure we were happy with how the day was progessing. I would highly recommend that any couple booking with HN utilize a guaranteed room block to make sure you get all of the rooms at the hotel that you and your guests will need. Otherwise they will only hold 10 rooms at a time, and the hotel will book up! There were other weddings with blocks at the hotel the same night as ours, making it difficult for our guests to book as the wedding got closer. That said, our wedding day was perfect and the credit belongs in large part to Ruby & Lorraine! -

I got married in July 2017 at the Hotel Northampton and my husband and I would highly recommend it without reservation. Several aspects of the venue attracted us to it, as it truly is an all-around amazing venue to have a reception.
Honestly, the first thing that mattered was the people. Ruby and Lorraine made planning and executing our wedding a breeze. They were incredibly accommodating and upfront about everything. There were no surprises and both of our families were thrilled with the help they received and the process.
One of the other things that made us choose the Hotel Northampton is the incredible ballroom. It's truly breathtaking. The ballroom is incredibly romantic and classic--exactly what we were looking for.
One of the things my guests most raved about was the food--it was delicious! We honestly were surprised with how amazing the food was and the size of the portions. We had the baked Brie as an app, which was a huge hit, and upgraded to the prime rib as an option for dinner! I would strongly suggest both of these options.
Both of the vendors that came as a part of the package (another HUGE plus) were incredible. Durocher's flowers and Greggory's bakery were completely outstanding. Again, Ruby and Lorraine had excellent communication with both vendors so we didn't have to worry about a thing.
Thank you to the Hotel Northampton and the entire staff for making our wedding day such a beautiful celebration.

We recently had our ceremony & reception there april 2017! Everything about the planning from beginning to end was great.
From planning, vendors, details, & hotel arrangements Ruby & lorraine were great to work with.
We brought our wedding things over the day before the wedding to do our rehearsal. Ruby & lorraine made sure every single detail was in place according to our request. I did not have to worry about one thing because they knew exactly what they were doing! We surely enjoyed the day and had zero hiccups. The timeline flowed perfectly throughout the day and they made sure our DAY really WAS OUR DAY!
Little things like making sure my moms memorial was in the right place to fixing my dress before i walked down the aisle! Greatly appreciated those small details!
Also the hotel staff & servers were always very polite & hospitable. And Our honeymoon suite was great!
I would recommend hotel northampton to anyone that wants a beautiful wedding with an amazing staff & great hospitality beginning to end! thank you guys for making it a day to remember!!!! -

I eloped at Hotel Northampton! Because I only had 6 people total, they allowes us to use the Upper Atrium free of charge and the space could not have been more PERFECT!! Absolutely LOVED it!! My dream wedding! ?? -

Book with the Hotel Northampton if you are looking for an elegant atmosphere, flexibility, convenience for guests, GREAT food, and a staff that executes your vision effortlessly! From our first meeting to the last minute details the night before, Ruby and her staff were VERY flexible and willing to help out in any way to make our day special. Our hot chocolate station was a nice touch to our winter wedding (Great idea Ruby!) and the food was out of this world! ALL of our relatives were from out of town and everyone raved about how easy it was to transition from the cocktail hour, to eating and dancing in the grand ballroom, to mingling in the atrium with a drink and warming by the fireplace in the lobby. Our relatives loved the New England charm in each of the bedrooms and appreciated the short walk away to enjoy eclectic downtown Northampton! Wiggins Tavern was a huge hit too post-reception! Hotel Northampton was incredible- THANK YOU again! -

Ruby and her team were fantastic! I planned most of our Massachusetts wedding from Louisiana, they were super helpful in quickly answering all of my emails and letting my MIL go to our tasting for us since we couldn't make it, but even made sure that we knew they would set up a private tasting for us if we wanted. Ruby would check in along the way and make sure I didnt have any questions and helped keep me on the planning track. The grand ballroom is beautiful and nicely fit our 160 guests. I cannot recommend the Hotel Northampton more, it is a beautiful location at a great value! -

My husband and I had our wedding reception at the Hotel Northampton June 2016. Ruby Meng was our wedding planning and we couldn’t have been happier with her. She was so nice and easy to talk to during the planning process all the way leading up to the day where she was on top of every detail and there for us if we needed anything. The Hotel Northampton staff was wonderful over all from the tasting, which made it hard to decide on our menu because everything was delicious, Ruby made coordinating times and communicating with our vendors stress free and the reception itself was beautiful. The venue is classic and timeless and we couldn’t have been happier with our choice to hold out wedding reception at the Hotel Northampton. -

Our wedding was on September 25, 2016.
Everything was picture perfect and I owe it all to Ruby. She was on top of everything. Incredibly helpful, professional, friendly, and reassuring. We could not have had a better experience.
If I had to do it all again, I'd pick the Hotel Northampton and Ruby.
We had our ceremony and reception in the grand ballroom and it was beautiful. The food was amazing, the deserts plentiful (and delicious), and they worked closely with our other vendors (photographer, DJ, Florist, etc) to make sure everything went according to plan.
Again, we could not be happier and are so impressed and happy with the hotel and all its employees.
Also, we had our rehearsal dinner at the Wiggins Tavern and the food was superb and the room was perfect. Also, Amber was so sweet and professional. -

We had a small wedding (30 people)at Wiggins Tavern in the Hotel Northampton. The staff went above and beyond to make our day great! The food was delicious and the atmosphere was awesome. . . Quaint and rustic. Ruby is the best! She helped me plan the perfect day!

We had a large family event at the Hotel Northampton. This was an event with almost 90 people, a ceremony, a sitdown dinner, and a dance floor and DJ. We could not have been happier with the service and the overall quality that the hotel provided. We had many guests from out of town and all of them were very happy with the friendly staff and with their rooms. The event planners I worked with were extremely professional, flexible, and a pleasure to work with. The food was also outstanding. -

My daughter & I had visited several venues and met with different wedding planners and by far Kelly and The NorthHampton Hotel were the fairest of all! Kelly's enthusiasm, energy and can do attitude made the impossible happen , a beautiful, glamorous wedding with only 4 weeks to plan! All the hotel employees were very polite, friendly and helpful. The food was incredible, flavor, presentation and portion size. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. Staff was very accommodating to requests. Everyone that attended the wedding stated that it was so beautiful and really enjoyed themselves. We live over a hour away and most guests traveled but it was well worth it. I would highly recommend both Kelly for a wedding planner and The Hotel NorthHampton for a venue. Will definitely return for future celebrations! -

Hotel Northampton as my reception venue was so much more wonderful than I could ever imagine. The staff was perfect and took care of every detail. They always responded quickly with any questions I had. We also had a breakfast there the next day and that was equally wonderful. The food was fantastic and all my guests raved about it -

We had our reception at Hotel Northampton on October 31, 2015. Kelly O'Connor was an absolute delight to work with. Kelly was always professional and courteous. She responded to our inquires in a timely fashion. She ensured that all our needs were met. We have received many compliments about how elegant our reception was. Our guest raved about the food, the desserts, (the chocolate cake was a huge hit) and the hotel. We were also pleased with the professionalism of ALL the staff at Hotel Northamton. -

Only thing is we had to move rooms on our wedding night because the next rooms was soo incredibly loud. We were in the honeymoon suite but they did accommodate us and moved us into a nice quiet room. -

The Hotel Northampton is amazing. My husband and I are from the area but are no longer living locally. Brianne (wedding coordinator) helped us plan the entire wedding long distance after only visiting for our site visit. Everything turned out perfectly. Every little detail was thought through, the staff was professional and friendly, the food was great, I could go on and on. I would recommend this venue to anyone looking for a elegant and classic wedding with the best possible support possible. -

After searching for a venue for our ceremony & reception, Hotel Northampton was the right choice. All the staff was wonderful, friendly, professional, always smiling & polite. The location was ideal, nestled in downtown Northampton. PERFECT ! This was the easy part, having a destination wedding can have some challenges. But Brianne , wedding coordinator was an absolute blessing in so many ways. She answered every email, phone call, very honest, very easy to work with. Wiggins Tavern, long known to us as a stop on our way to the lake house. Who knew that years later it would make the most perfect Rehearsal Dinner location! What an amazing venue! Hotel Northampton provided a gorgeous setting for our mini-destination wedding. It was elegant, yet had so much character - a beautiful location to have a wedding. We heard from so many of our guests about how much they enjoyed their meal. On the budget end of things, the hotel has different packages set up allowing us to choose options that were important to us and leave out things that we didn't care for. On the planning side of things, Brianne, the wedding event planner, was so helpful!!! She was very professional and handled all my questions and concerns in a timely manner. Picking the Hotel Northampton and getting Brianne as my guide was honestly the best decision I made. The location was PERFECT. Having our guests staying in the same hotel as the reception -- and just a stone's throw away from our ceremony at First Churches -- was very convenient. We didn't have to worry about herding people on the big day, and our guests arriving early got to enjoy walking around and exploring Northampton. Having just one vendor to work with for our venue, beverages, catering, and lodging made planning a whole lot easier. Brianne and the entire hotel staff were wonderful to work with. The hotel has close relations with the other vendors (cake, DJ, photographer) we worked with so I didn't have to worry about coordinating between them. The day of the wedding I didn't have to worry about a thing and it all went perfectly without a hitch! Not to mention that the hotel itself is beautiful and the pictures look gorgeous. My Wedding Planner, Brianne and her team at Hotel Northampton made my planning experience exciting and stress free from the start. With only 5 months to pull together our big day, I was given detailed packages to help me make my decisions. It was extremely helpful that we were able to get so many of our requirements right there at the hotel - no need to look elsewhere and do any unnecessary shopping around. There were even outside vendor suggestions such as bakeries, DJ's and florists - all of which we were pleased with and decided to book for our Wedding.
As a child growing up in Western Mass., I always dreamed of having my wedding in this place one day. To see everything come together so beautifully in that short amount of time was just amazing. I couldn't thank Brianne and Hotel Northampton enough for everything. My guests were so pleased to stay in such a beautiful location and I know everyone had the BEST time. I also appreciate Brianne's appearances throughout the night of the wedding. She was able to guide everyone in the right direction so we were always on time and on point. I would recommend this venue to anyone doing a wedding or any other event and it is just beautiful and the support you'll get is phenomenal. Thank you again!! -

From checking out Hotel Northampton as a possibility for the wedding up until actually deciding thats where our wedding would be taking place. Brianne was anything but resourceful to us. We could not have been happier with the Hotel or Brianne, who helped us manage all of the planning. We were planning to wedding while living in VA, and Brianne made the entire planning process easy and straight forward. No one believed how stress free our planning process was, and all the credit goes to Brianne. She was extremely responsive to every email, reached out prior to important deadlines to keep us on track, and was all around simply a pleasure to work with.
The Hotel: The hotel itself is beautiful. All of our guests loved the venue, the food, and their rooms. The hotel has so much charm and really stands out from more standard hotel receptions. The staff also exceeded all of our expectations. They went out of the way to make sure I could relax the morning of by taking care if all the small details.
Wedding Packages: The hotel offers multiple packages so you can design a wedding within your budget. Since we were planning from another state, the fact that Brianne coordinated with the cake and flower vendors meant that we just had to pick what we wanted and not worry about the details. The space looked gorgeous the day of, and the food was excellent. You really get your money's worth, if not more.
all in all, we highly recommend having your reception at Hotel Northampton -- every aspect exceeded our expectations. -

It was amazing to get married in the grand ballroom and see the room transform from the ceremony to our reception . It was flawless & you got to see the room in two completely different ways.It was beautiful! The staff was personable, attentive & professional. The food was delicious. Brianne made the wedding planning easy, stress free and most of all a fun experience. Brianne and the team at Hotel Northampton were fantastic. We did however have some issues with booking rooms and giving out my welcome bags. The team though did there absolute best to fix these issues. The entire wedding went perfect and I know none of that would not have been possible without Brianne and her team. Hotel Northampton exceeded our expectations. We can’t image that we would have considered anywhere else. Everyone did a fantastic job and helped make our special celebration even more special. The hotel is elegant and beautiful. All our guests kept commenting on it. The staff were remarkably courteous and helpful. The food was delicious and was complemented over and over by our guests. And Brianne did an amazing job at pulling everything together, with fine attention to detail, ensuring that everything went smoothly. Moreover, Brianne was super at dealing with family, respectfully corralling everyone and ensuring everything came together just right. She did an amazing job! We feel so grateful to Brianne, the hotel staff, and Chef Bob for helping make an amazing night for us and our loved ones that we will never forget.

What an amazing experience! From the second I walked in for my tour I knew it was the perfect place for our wedding. Even better, the price was extremely reasonable and Brianne, the hotel wedding coordinator was so kind and down to Earth. She was always there to answer my questions, make suggestions, and walk me through the planning process step by step. She made sure everything I pictured my day to be happened. We had our ceremony downstairs in the Hampshire Room. Guests said it was the best ceremony they have ever witnessed because it felt so romantic and intimate. It personally was my favorite part of the day (the hotel suggested our JP, Dennis Helmus, who made the ceremony so personal and meaningful) Our reception was held in the Grand Ballroom and it felt like a fairytale. The hotel staff was friendly as were all the city folks while we were downtown taking our pictures. The bridal suite we got to stay in the night of was comfy & luxurious and room service the next day was delicious! Everything about this venue is what I believe a wedding should be. classic, elegant, and magical. I can't wait to relive the day through our pictures and video. Everything turned out beautifully. I am so happy with the Hotel and I couldn't imagine a better wedding. -

The Hotel Northampton was everything we had expected for our wedding day and more!!! Brianne and Leah are both extremely helpful and do everything to make your life easier during what could be a stressful time! The staff the day of the wedding were the best I've seen!! I highly recommend the hotel for anyone's wedding/ function! You won't be disappointed! All of our guests are still talking about our big day! It was simply amazing!!!! -

Brianne Ebel, Leah Maio, and the Banquet Manager George were excellent to work with, and were on top of every detail.
Also were willing to repsond to unusual request and terms.
I highly recommend this team to help oyu through this process.
They were great!
Also the venue is just unbeatable. The bartenders were warm and friendly. The Hotel staff was great!
Walked right out into the streets of northampton before and after the wedding.

Having our wedding reception at Hotel Northampton was one of the best decisions we made when planning the wedding. The staff that we worked with were incredibly nice, receptive, professional and excited to help us plan our big day and make it special. They thought of all the details, and took care of so many things that we would have never thought of or been able to manage on our own. The venue itself was gorgeous, and the food and drinks were amazing. I can't say enough good things about Hotel Northampton and the experience we had there. I highly recommend it a a venue for a reception. -

The Hotel Northampton is a beautiful venue with excellent service, food, and hospitality. The wedding event planner gave excellent support throughout the planning process and was always available for answering questions. The convenience of having out of town guests stay overnight in the hotel after the reception was wonderful. -

We had our wedding reception at the Hotel Northampton, and we could not have been happier with the entire process. Brianne, the hotel's wedding coodinator, was courteous, professional, knowledgeable, and incredibly supportive during the planning process and was a pleasure to work with. On the day of both my husband and I were so impressed with how gorgeous the ballroom looked and how it not only met but exceeded our wishes. The staff was professional and attentive to both us and our guests, and many people commented on the quality of the venue, the food, and the overall experience. Everyone had a great time, which was the overall goal for the day, so it was a home run!
The morning after the wedding we also held a brunch at Wiggins Tavern, which was the cherry on top of a beautiful weekend. The staff there provided a delicious brunch for our family and friends and were so welcoming and attentive.
We could not have been happier with our wedding, and would highly recommend anyone in the area to have their wedding at the Hotel Northampton. -

My husband and I were married last December and our guests are still talking about the event! The night has made many great memories not only for us but for our guests as well. Working with the Hotel and Brianne was one of the best joys while planning our wedding, every question and concern was answered immediately and with genuine care! The Hotel made a great venue, not having something like this any where else in the area gave our guests that outstanding and memorable experience. Brianne, the event planner at The Hotel was absolutely wonderful. I feel as tho I was working with a life long friend, and that really is what makes the experience so wonderful. She truly made my wedding vision come true!!! The vendors they suggested were great, with their expert options I chose some wonderful people to work with and got outstanding results. My husband, Jeff, and I were married at Hotel Northampton this past August. Our experience from beginning to end was absolutely phenomenal. Our wedding coordinator, Brianne, was amazing. She didn't miss a beat. She had a great personality and worked with us carefully to make sure we had everything we wanted for our special day. She was extremely accommodating. During our first visit at Hotel Northampton we were able to meet Brianne and look at the venue, as well as go through all the options available for the level package we wanted. It was a thorough and informative meeting in which we were not forced into any decisions and didn't feel compelled to sign a contract on the spot. Honestly the venue and package options spoke for themselves. It was an easy decision for us to choose Hotel Northampton for our reception venue. Once we did sign our contract, Brianne made the whole process of coordinating everything very easy. We had checklists to go through to make sure we had everything planned at the proper time. Brianne was also able to offer advice about other vendors we were looking into. She has a lot of knowledge about everything in the "wedding world." As our date got closer and we had to look into menu options we were invited to a tasting to sample foods that were available. Butlers walked around with hor dourves (another service they offer during your cocktail hour). Once we sat at our table we had a five course meal, in which we tried multiple options for appetizers, salads, main courses, and wedding cakes. Brianne was a wonderful hostess at this event. She continued to check in with each couple for feedback. We were not impressed with the chicken option we were given, so Brianne set up a private tasting for the two of us at a later date to try more options. She worked hard to make sure we had an ice cream cake, and when slideshow for the lobby didn't work she created a new one to play, so there was not one glitch! Our wedding at Hotel Northampton was fabulous!! -

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Hotel Northampton! The venue is absolutely beautiful and they will do anything to make your special day even that much more memorable for you. From the check-in staff to the wedding coordinators to the wait staff, everyone is extremely friendly and accommodating. Our wedding coordinator, Brianne, was always willing to help or just listen to any questions I had about the Hotel or anything in the wedding for that matter. She was always available and extremely helpful. Always a pleasure to talk to. Our wedding would not have been what it was without her. I had never been to Hotel Northampton and had my heart set on a summer wedding but once I walked into the hotel and met Brianne, the wedding planner I was sold. I told her that I loved Christmas and she took the time to walk me through this beautiful historic hotel and explained to me what the hotel would look like and she was right on. The hotel was decorated beautifully. Brianne was very honest, respectful and accommodating. The lobby, ballroom, and Wiggins tavern were very festive and perfect for pictures. Brianne was only an email or phone call away if I ever had a question and always had the answers and calmed me down. She was the perfect wedding planner.
After our wedding we had drinks at Wiggins Tavern that had burning fireplaces and a comfortable, cozy feel. The following morning, we had a delicious brunch with our guests again at Wiggins Tavern.
I received so many compliments on the venue, the services and the food. My dear friend, who is a professional wedding planner in New York City, gave the wedding an A+. Thank you for making our day everything we imagined and it was absolutely amazing. We highly recommend Hotel Northampton.

As an out of town bride, the venue choice was simple for me once I found out all the customizable options that Hotel Northampton provides. We used a pre-designed wedding package that the Hotel offers, but were able to customize everything to fit our desires. Besides the fact that their wedding packages option is very preferable for an out-of-town bride like myself, their event coordinator Brianne became not only a source of valuable information and honest advice, but also became a friend! She gave honest opinions on specific vendors that I was researching, and helped me make informed decisions based on my personal preferences. She never imposed her personal preferences on my decisions, just provided the necessary information for me to make the decision on my own. I asked her about everything from what prior brides thought of certain DJ's to what she thought of my color scheme and setup for each guest table. She helped me every step of the way and made sure I was on track and not running behind on anything. At our wedding, she made sure everything ran smoothly, that everyone was where they needed to be when they needed to be there, and checked in with my husband and I several times throughout the night to make sure everything was going as planned. The Hotel itself was a beautiful location for photos and the reception, and we received several compliments from our guests on how much they loved our venue! The service was top notch and it was clear that everyone working there was very experienced in weddings and making sure that the bride and groom are happy. I don't have a single bad word to say about the Hotel, their event coordinator Brianne, the rest of our vendors, the food, the location - anything! It's awesome to still have people tell us how much fun they had at our wedding and how beautiful it was, over 3 weeks after the date! Thank you Hotel Northampton for a perfect wedding!! -

From the moment we first visited Hotel Northampton, we knew it was one of the top runners for where we wanted to have our wedding. The historic hotel is well-maintained, the staff is incredibly friendly and helpful, and the beautiful lobby and ballroom was perfect for our early November wedding. What sold us was the wedding coordinator, Brianne Ebel. Brianne is personable, honest, open-minded and accommodated our budget-friendly plan at that first meeting, every meeting leading up to our wedding, and throughout the actual event (no random fees added that weren't discussed first like other places tried to do to us!). She is only an email away and always had good, honest advice as I was planning. We instantly felt comfortable and had complete trust in her - she was the perfect person to help us plan our big day!
A couple things we loved most about the Hotel is the different feel you get in different parts of the venue - we had our rehearsal dinner in Wiggins Tavern on the first floor of the Hotel - it has an old colonial feel with a fireplace and delicious comfort food while the ballroom is elegant with an intimate feel. The second thing we loved about the Hotel is the location. Most of our guests were from out of town and stayed at the Hotel so all they had to do was park their car Friday evening and all the weekend's events were in walking distance. We got married at First Churches which is right around the corner from the Hotel, had a welcome party at a bar in town, and everything else was based out of the Hotel including a Farewell Brunch the morning after the wedding. Not to mention all the great restaurants and things to do in town that our guests definitely appreciated having close by. Lastly, the food was delicious - there are tons of options and the speciality drinks were a hit!
I can't say enough good things about our wedding at Hotel Northampton. Thank you for making our day everything we wanted it to be and more!

I love this place! My husband and I got married here last month. Our ceremony was downstairs and our reception was in the grand ballroom. Everything was perfect. I felt so comfortable working with Brianne, who helped me make decisions and made sure everything went as planned! The venue itself is beautiful and we had so many compliments on the food. The hotel offers many food options. I thought it was very reasonably priced ( we were married on a Sunday) and centerpieces, cake, and champagne toast were included. Our experience of planning our wedding for New Year’s Eve at Hotel Northampton was exceptional. The hotel was gorgeous first of all! Our first contact with Hotel Northampton was with Brianne Ebel, our wedding planner. We wanted to have our wedding on New Year’s eve but planning an event like that in a 6 month time frame was difficult and Brianne made it happen, and so much easier as well! She was just awesome. She was punctual at our meetings, very well educated in the sequencing and organizing from the little specific details to the bigger tasks. She was great with responding via email with any and all our little requests/questions up to the last day. She personally made sure everything was set-up just right for the ceremony and the reception. And everything turned out just perfect for our wedding!!! It was the best experience and we are so appreciative of all her hard work!
We have great memories of our wedding. The ceremony and banquet hall were gorgeous. She did an awesome job and we really appreciate it!!! Hearing from our guests and our parents, everyone was really impressed by the appearance of the ceremony room and the reception hall, as well as the wait staff at their quickness with the food and the attentiveness as well! Brianne cordinated very well with our DJ (Tony Simmons) and photographer (Brian Sullivan Photography) and everything felt like it went so smoothly!!! We can’t thank her enough!!! I had no idea what i was doing and was all over the place and Bri really helped me get organized and not feel overwelmed. The food is AMAZING and they really are there for you. The Hotel Northampton was amazing. We used their main banquet hall for our reception. The hall itself is beautiful. We worked with Holly. She was our wedding coordinator supplied by the hotel. She was easy to communicate with and always available. The staff during the reception was wonderful. A year later my family members can still remember the name of their waiter and talk about such a good time they had. I couldn't have asked for better service. After our reception ended, our family didn't want the party to end, so the hotel management offered up the smaller banquet room so that they could continue the party there, laid back with some drinks and guitars. It was great. I'd recommend The Hotel Northampton to anyone. They even coordinated our flowers and cake and decorated the banquet hall according to our plan. I can't forget the food either. We had a baked tomato stuffed with cheddar and spinich followed by filet mignon, chicken rossini or a vegetarian option. Sides were garlic mashed and seasonal veg. -

We booked hotel blocks for our wedding at the Hotel Northampton. The rooms were lovely (the balconies are stunning!), the beds were comfy, and our guests had a great stay. The front desk made sure everyone got their welcome bag. We also had an afterparty in the private room at Wiggins Tavern downstairs. Our guests had a great time overall (and my sister raves about the room service). Thanks Hilary for setting up such a wonderful stay! -

The Hotel Northampton worked really hard to make sure our wedding was everything we wanted it to be! We had our cocktail hour and reception here, and both events were amazing (I wasn't actually at the cocktail hour, but heard great things from our guests). I am a perfectionist, and Kelly and Ruby worked closely with me (and graciously accepted my ridiculously long checklists) in order to make sure everything ran smoothly and was set up exactly how I wanted. Everything came together absolutely beautifully. The food was amazing - when we started planning our wedding I was really worried about this, since cooking for a huge crowd can be a challenge, but their chef and kitchen team did an amazing job. The waitstaff was friendly and professional, and our server made sure we were taken care of all evening long. The bartenders were a lot of fun - I spent some time chatting with one of them, and he was great - very friendly and funny. The manager who was helping us at our send-off breakfast was also wonderful. We've had non-stop compliments from our friends and family about how much they enjoyed the wedding, how wonderful the food was, and how much they loved the Hotel. The Hotel itself is beautiful and very elegant. The ballroom is such a lovely room, and didn't need any decoration to look perfect. The Atrium is such a special space that the Hotel has - it's absolutely beautiful with all the plants, and it makes for a nice escape for people who need to step away from the music and the party for a few minutes. Plus, Northampton is a great town with a lot of fun restaurants and activities, for guests who want to make a weekend of the wedding. I'm so glad that we chose the Hotel Northampton for our venue, everything was perfect, we had an amazing time, and we have so many happy memories that we will treasure forever. -

We had a wonderful experience having our reception at the Hotel Northampton! Brianne, the event planner, was responsive, professional, understanding, calm, and reassuring - truly everything you would want in a wedding reception planner and more! She incorporated all of my little requests and personal details without hesitation. She even took charge of tying up the bustle of my dress before my reception started when my bridesmaid struggled. She really goes above and beyond and makes you feel like the only bride she has (even though that's definitely not the case). The one thing I found a little difficult to at first navigate was the room blocking process, but everything ended up working out in the end. One of the best compliments I received after my wedding was that it was "very classy but not over-the-top" and many people complemented that it was the most fun wedding they have ever been to. Hotel Northampton has the most beautiful grand ballroom for a wedding and they turned our day into a real life fairy tale. We truly were so happy with how every detail was taken care of by Brianne (we went over a lot of details) and her team, Tori (head banquet manager) and Jonathan, in particular were excellent! It was nice to have the person you were speaking with throughout the entire process be there as you step out of the limo. It was actually a relief during the madness to see Brianne and literally stop worrying; and with a bridal party of 16 that can be challenging. As an Italian bride, I indulge in the pasta with vodka sauce (which was the best I had ever had) and the dessert. The table filled with desserts was amazing! Other guests said their meals were hot and delicious. I think our only minor hiccup would be with the front desk/hotel bookings, which is almost a separate entity, because Brianne handles the event itself. There was some confusion on the valet for guests, but my mom talked to them and it was resolved quickly. For room blocks, I would speak to Ruby (in charge of the hotel portion) at the beginning and let her know what you expect and get all your questions cleared up (price/room type). Our bridal suite was lovely! I was concerned that I may have wanted a double balcony, but I would stick with the one they offer with the package. We had champagne, fruit and chocolate covered strawberries waiting for us at the end of the night. Brianne didn't need to do much reassuring, it would have been unnecessary. She was confident in her people and knew everything would be executed as planned. Brianne knew our reception would surpass our expectations without having to keep saying it, and she was right. We were more than pleased with the level of service and quality Hotel Northampton had shown our family and our guests. Thank you, Brianne and your event team for creating a wedding "dream come true" that we will never forget. -

We just had our wedding at Hotel Northampton earlier this month. What a beautiful place, anyone who has visited will know this. Brianne and her staff were great throughout the whole experience. She was quick to respond, gave thoughtful suggestions and was able to really work with us to get what we wanted. Brianne is everything you need in a coordinator and more! The quality of the food was also excellent...as a "foodie" this was important to me and they delivered. There were a few mix ups day of, but the staff took care of them once they were brought to attention. Overall I would have my wedding there again in a heart beat and would recommend them to anyone looking for a historical romantic setting. -

This place is just amazing. The ballroom is elegant and spacious, the hotel lobby is beautifully appointed (this is where cocktails are served), the food is outstanding, and the service is impeccable. We worked with Brianne Ebel, who make sure that every detail was perfect. She also acted as a weeding coordinator to make sure everything went on time and ran smoothly.
Having the hotel just upstairs was wonderful. That way, guests could stay late, drink, then just go upstairs to their rooms.
There were several wedding packages available for all budgets. The value of the Imperial Wedding, was excellent. This package included wedding cake, limo service, full bar, and a dessert table.
If i could give more stars for this venue, I would! -

Great experiende
We had a great experience having our reception at hotel Northampton. The setting was absolutely beautiful, food was great (they were able to accommodate with a custom menu), and our coordinator Carly did a fantastic job. Would highly recommend this venue. -

Really beautiful place, and they were great to work with. GORGEOUS!! Ruby is really good. Kelly is new but working with Ruby, so everything worked out well. Very responsive through the planning process. Food was great no complaints there. One thing that could be improved a little was the bar situation. We heard from guests that during cocktail hour it was really hard to get a drink. They had one bar and we had about 155 guests. During the reception I felt there was always a wait at the bar as well. The other thing to note was that it was HOT in the grand ballroom all night. Granted, it was a hot day in August, but the A/C really couldn't keep up with all the people/ dancing unfortunately. We had a lot of guests dancing the majority of the night, but in my opinion the dance floor is small and felt a bit crowded. As noted we had 155 guests and I would say that was plenty for that room as it felt a little tight. Would be hard to fit more people in without it feeling extremely packed. But as far as reception itself and the planning, we were very happy! Beautiful place and we got SO many compliments, especially from out of towners! -

I stayed in the Hotel Northampton from 6/16-6/18 and also had my rehearsal dinner in one of their restaurants, Wiggins Tavern. Although I was getting married offsite, the hotel staff was very attentive & congratulatory to my husband and me, and our suite was very clean, with a nice balcony and view. Our guests loved their rooms and the service provided by the staff at the Hotel Northampton as well. Our rehearsal dinner at Wiggins Tavern was wonderful. I had been in contact with Courtney to set it up and they were very accommodating, making room for one of my bridesmaids' 2 year old twins at the last minute (adding on to our already large table of 17). They were also great with dietary restrictions. Everyone commented on the great ambience, with the fireplace, brick walls, etc. and the food and drinks were great. We also had breakfast the morning after our wedding at Coolidge Park Café and loved that as well. I would definitely recommend staying at this hotel if you're having a local wedding & also booking Wiggins Tavern for your rehearsal dinner location. -

Overall our experience was great. Everyone at the hotel was very attentive to our needs and very helpful when we needed something. I would definitely recommend the Hotel Northampton to anyone looking for wedding venues in western Mass. -

We used to live in Northampton so wanted to come back here for our wedding. We live over two hours away now so the wedding packages added some convenience to the process.We had a wonderful wedding day and the staff was very helpful and professional which was definitely recognized by the guests. Brianne and Ruby had everything under control as they told us what we had to do and where we had to be every step of the way.
After our ceremony which was a block away, we had pictures done with the wedding party and got to relax for a few minutes in the board room. There were appetizers and drinks waiting for us and a friendly server who took orders for drinks too. The evening flowed very well and the ball room looked lovely. Another nice touch was having fruit and champagne in our room at the end of the night.
One main issue we had initially and was very upsetting was our initial tasting. The food at the tasting was not good and was not cooked well. This definitely had a big impact initially as we were contemplating what to do next. We had another tasting (actually 2 because I wanted to try another dish) which went well and the food on the day was really good (hence the great review points). We didn't try everything (as happens for the bride and groom), but we had really good reviews from the guests. We did a buffet option which Brianne was flexible with and that worked out great. Brianne did reassure me through this entire process that everything would turn out well and she was right. She was well organized throughout this process and really does a good job at The Hotel.
Another observation is that the boardroom us offered for brides to get ready, but my bridal part and I preferred to get ready in our actual hotel room there. Getting ready in the boardroom with the long conference table and chairs, just didn't feel comfortable, but at least it's there if needed. -
