    Perfect Christmas wedding

We got married on Nov 29 and had the BEST experience at Hotel Fiesole. The hotel was beautifully decorated for Christmas. The bar manger, Jay, helped us set up the ceremony space exactly how we wanted to fit our 60 guests. Gerry, the event coordinator, went above and beyond helping with the flow of the night. Our guests commented on how professional and kind the staff was. The best recommendation was for DJ Gerry Kelly to MC our night. He kept everyone on the dance floor. Couldn’t be happier with our wedding!

Having our wedding at the Hotel Fiesole was the absolute best wedding planning decision that we made. The hotel is beautiful, the kitchen produces amazing food, and the wedding coordinator, Abbey Greiner, is a true professional to work with.

We had our ceremony in one room and our reception in the large dining room/bar/trolley car. The hotel is absolutely gorgeous with its dark wood everywhere and the beautiful stained glass ceilings. The hotel's gorgeous interior and exterior (including a covered bridge) made for a large variety of beautiful places to take our wedding photos. We got married at Christmas, and the Hotel's lights, Christmas tress, and other decorations were absolutely stunning. We have been to many wedding receptions in the boring ballroom or bare conference room of some hotel.

Abbey is an incredible wedding professional and every bride should have the absolute pleasure of working with her. Abbey met with me and my husband several times and she always answered our numerous emails with questions. Abbey was present at our rehearsal and helped us to figure out how our procession would work the next day. She was onsite the day of the wedding and made sure that every single thing flowed. Abbey had the ceremony room and dining room set up perfectly. If I needed anything the day of the wedding (lights dimmed for dancing, table moved for more dance space), she was super responsive.

We opted to have a non-traditional reception. Instead of a formal meal, we visioned a 6 hour long cocktail party. We ordered many different hot and cold hors devours, pastas, salads, mini meatballs and pork loin, fruit and vegetable plates, cheese trays, hummus platters, and about every single kind of food you can imagine. There was food there for all tastes, from people who like planer food to our "foodie" friends, and everyone was stuffed.

The drinks were well poured and not watered down like I have experienced at other weddings, and the bar service was really prompt

We were married at Hotel Fiesole last month (Sept. 2014) and I cannot even begin to tell you how wonderful they were! Our friends also were married there almost 3 years ago and raved about them so we had high expectations going in....Hotel Fiesole and their staff did not disappoint.
Abbey was a dream to work with - not only is she personable, friendly and fun to deal with, but she is extremely diligent in her work. Being flexible and laid-back usually aren't words you would want to use to describe your venue coordinator, but trust me, Abbey is the PERFECT person to get the job done. She will hear out any suggestion and try to find a solution, she never gets her feathers ruffled and will think of things even the most detailed bride wouldn’t take into account. If you want to make something happen because it's important to you, just leave it to her and rest assured, it will be done and done right.
As if that wasn't enough, the entire staff at Hotel Fiesole were incredibly warm and bent over backwards for us to feel special that day and also help all of our guests feel special too (whether they were staying over or not).
The venue is unique, beautiful and every shot from your photographer will have a pretty background no matter where you are in the hotel. The food is beyond excellent - guests raved and raved about it. The atmosphere is upscale without being stuffy and our guests used words like "charming", "amazing" and "gorgeous" to describe it.
The day of the wedding, everything went off without a hitch - Abbey and her staff were so well coordinated, we didn't have to worry or ask about a thing. I never had to waste one second with anything trivial and because of their efforts, my wedding wasn't the blur everyone describes it as - we were never once stressed or rushed and got to just sit back, enjoy and do what we were there to do - have the best day of our lives.

    One of a kind.
The first day we laid eyes on the Hotel Fiesole, we knew it was the venue of our dreams. Gorgeous does not begin to describe this beautiful location. The food is absolutely delicious. The event coordinator, Abbey, &her staff are amazing and will attend to every detail of your special day....Relax, small wedding or large they will make it happen, just like your dreams.

Our wedding was everything we wanted and then some at Hotel Fiesole. From the day we met with the wedding coordinator (Abbey) we knew that was the location for our wedding. It had all the details we wanted for our intimate event. We had our ceremony upstairs and then cocktails and dinner in the downstairs venue which was perfect as it had it's own bar and lounge area allowing us to enjoy our family and friends without worrying about anything. The food was great and the pastry chef did a fabulous job with the cake. Plus the fact that all of our guests had rooms made it that much nicer. No complaints from us! We still go back to enjoy a drink and a meal from time to time and the staff treats us like family. Thank you Abbey and Hotel Fiesole!

After reading the negative review, I feel as though I owe it to Abbey & all of the staff a The Hotel Fiesole to add my experience. I was married there in March 2010 & could not have imagined a more perfect day. My husband & I did not want a traditional sit-down wedding, but a “cocktail party” theme with an abundance of appetizers and, of course, cocktails. We knew we would have to find an extremely classy place to pull this off at the cost of seeming cheap to our guests. One look at The Hotel & we knew this was the place we could make our dream come true. The décor & atmosphere speaks for itself before you even set foot in the door, so I will not elaborate on that. Abbey was beyond any expectation- She is not a hired wedding planner, but a coordinator- you could have fooled me. My guests still ask for her information & how they can hire her to PLAN their wedding. She was there every step of the way. With an appetizer intense menu she helped me choose what was going to be enough food. She took charge at the rehearsal when I couldn’t get my wedding party to cooperate. She even kept me on schedule after the ceremony. I didn’t have to pay for a wedding planner because I had Abbey. I thought I had thought of everything for this wedding… but when I went downstairs to begin taking pictures I was wrong. Abbey had taken the guests shot glass favors and arranged them perfectly into a heart shape on the library table… WOW- my photographer couldn’t get enough pictures! But her attention to detail didn’t stop there-As I entered the main dining room I was floored by the presentation that was arranged for my stationary appetizers- she incorporated my centerpieces as well as the bridesmaids bouquets into the beautiful structure that was more stunning then an ice sculpture.
I too fell victim to a “Wedding Crasher”. However it must be understood that in order to completely rope off the area that is reserved for your wedding, you would be asking your guests to jump the rope to use the restroom. I wouldn’t ask this of my guests nor would I have wanted to attempt this feat in my wedding dress. I must say that I would have not noticed the random woman dancing on the dance floor had Abbey not have brought it to my attention AFTER asking the crasher to leave. The area is set up next to the front door where restaurant patrons as well as other hotel guests access. Abbey stood in this area monitoring who was going in & out at all times. The bar area is really not that large, so to ask all of your guests to be packed in there for a straight hour is more of a crime then allowing them to sit at the tables comfortably in my opinion. I would also like to mention that the bartenders are only human, and if there were empty glasses or used napkins on the bar, I would rather assume they are tending to my guests needs as a priority over cleaning their empties. The staff was there passing food until my guests couldn’t handle anymore- to think an appetizer only menu could leave my guests full was my biggest worry but Abbey helped me make sure it happened. I for one can say that MY day went off without a hitch & I have no one to thank but the wonderful staff that is at The Hotel Fiesole, especially Abbey. Almost a year later & my guests are still talking about how we hosted “the best wedding” they have ever been to & if they had the chance to do it all over again they would have done it the way we did. I had a 5 star wedding at a 5 star place on a 3 star budget. I couldn’t have asked for more. It saddens me that a day that should centered around the love that a husband & wife want to share with their closest family & friends can be so easily ruined by an empty glass, a used napkin & a small child.

Hotel Fiesole made our wedding day spectacular and special. Our wedding planner(Abbey) was wonderful! She made us feel confident and relaxed knowing that our wedding was all under control. We had great communication with her and she was always there when we needed her. The food was delicious and all our guests still rave about it. Our wedding was quoted by friends as "the nicest wedding ever" and "so perfect". We loved the decor and the staff. Everyone was so nice and accommodating. We also stayed over in the wedding suite and didnt want to leave in the morning. It was beautiful and the bed was so comfortable! I slept better than I do at my home. I cant say enough good things about Hotel Fiesole. Oh yeah one more...the price was incredible. It's like getting a rare deal where it turns out to be the best choice you ever made. Thank you Hotel Fiesole for making our wedding very memorable and perfect!

Our July 2010 wedding at Hotel Fiesole was a close to perfect as one could ask for. The facilities and the support of Abbey Greiner made this all possible. Abbey and her team worked quietly in the background to bring everything together perfectly. We had a cocktail reception, followed by the ceremony, then dinner and dancing. The events flowed seamlessly. The food was excellent. The service was outstanding. Anything we asked for was promptly attended to. We booked all the rooms in the hotel for our party and had the run of the place. The kids have described the wedding as one of the most enjoyable things they have ever been to. I highly recommend the hotel Fiesole and Abbey to anybody.

My husband and I were married at the Hotel Fiesole last October 3rd. We worked with their wedding planner who was amazing and who went above and beyond to make sure our big day was incredible, which it was. The hotel itself is absolutely gorgeous and the food and alcohol is top of the line. We did a one-stop-shop getting married at the hotel, hosting the reception there, and staying the night in the bridal suite. We also did our rehearsal dinner there. Our guests are STILL talking about how incredible our wedding was over a year later! I have been to many, many weddings and I believe that ours was the best. Much of that is owed to the Hotel Fiesole and its incredible staff. We went back on our anniversary this year and plan to do so every year that we can.

As others have mentioned, I was surprised by the negative review about Hotel Fiesole. I guess you can't please everyone. My husband and I had our wedding reception November 2010.

We found out about Hotel Fiesole from a friend while I was searching for a venue that would be willing to host a wedding in 6 months. My husband and I visited the hotel. As soon as we walked in, I was taken back by how beautiful and elegant the place was. And the hostess was very friendly and took us on a quick tour of the place. We both knew this would be the place to host our reception.

We made an appointment with Abbey to get more details. Abbey was beyond being helpful and accommodating. I can't say enough about how wonderful she was. She knew what needed to be done and gave us some recommendations which I never thought of before. I felt like I could trust Abbey with implementing what I wanted at my reception. And I was right. Our reception was beautiful. I gave Abbey all the things for the reception, and she and her staff did an excellent job in making the tables and the area look beautiful. Every guests that we spoke to raved about how beautiful the hotel/reception was, and said that the food was the best buffet food they ever had. We will never forget Abbey and all that she has done for us. We will be coming back to Hotel Fiesole for our anniversary.

My wife and I immediately knew this was the place to have our wedding. Abbey, our coordinator, was very nice, detailed, and organized, the most important things you want to have for a coordinator. Not only was this place affordable, it was beautiful. First we had dinner at the restaurant to make sure the food and service was up to par before we booked anything. Both the food and service was wonderful, I couldn't believe how great the food was. The waitress was very attentive as well. Abbey was also attentive to even the smallest detail which for a groom and bride can be the biggest details that matter on the wedding day. On our wedding day, Abbey was wonderful and met at our every need, beyond what a coordinator would do. We even had valet service which was a great addition and guests enjoyed that small touch. The food and bartenders were superb, we still get compliments from friends of how wonderful the food was and how great the bartenders were. My wife and I literally had the best day of our lives and will remember forever, thank you Hotel Fiesole and Abbey!

we knew immediately when we first stepped into hotel fiesole and met abbey that it was the right place for us to have our wedding. skippack is so quaint and romantic and fiesole is very charming. i loved having the bar so that our guests could get drinks and socialize. we had 100 guests and it was a bit tight but it created the feeling of a formal dinner party which was what i wanted. abbey was very nice and answered all of my questions from the day we first met until after the wedding. all of my friends raved about the delicious food. we did not have any quality issues with the service like the other review. now we are planning to go back every year for our anniversary. i am so grateful that we found hotel fiesole because it was perfect for us and i wouldn't have changed a thing.

I NEVER imagined I would be writing a NEGATIVE review about my wedding reception at Hotel Fiesole in Skippack. Words can not even begin to express our feelings of disappointment, as well as, the embarrassment my parents and my husband and I feel as hosts.
We booked our reception and began our wedding planning with Abbey (Hotel Fiesole Event Coordinator) exactly 1 year to the day before our wedding. Our wedding was very small, ONLY 53 guests including us. Abbey was always very sweet, flexible and accommodating. She referred our photographer and florist to us whose services both were beyond AWESOME and we are happy she suggested them to us! I guess there was alot of flexibility since close to NOTHING that we planned with Abbey was delivered or carried out. My mother and sister were with us at one of our meetings and they too are questioning what happened to everything we discussed, planned, and were promised for our reception.
My husband and I were not aware of the "happenings", or what was NOT happening during the cocktail hour and reception. We missed the cocktail hour, as planned, to have pictures taken. During the reception, we were busy being the Bride & Groom. We recently received our professional pictures from our photographer and our video DVD. Our pictures certainly tell the WHOLE story and do NOT lie. WOW! It was a Zoo! Hotel Fiesole is supposed to be a 5 star hotel/restaurant and it definitely carries a 5 star price tag. Unfortunately, our guests did not even receive close to 2 stars. Given our small guest count, Abbey knew that we basically did not have a true budget that we were sticking to.
I will say that the food was absolutely delicious and so was our wedding cake. Unfortunately, not every one had or was even offered the "passed" hot/cold hors d'oeuvres. The stationary hors d'oeuvres ran out of crackers and bread for the dips and cheeses and were never replenished. I saw pictures of a full bowl of dip that couldn't be eaten because there was NO bread and a board full of cheeses with an empty basket/plate where the crackers were. What a waste! we initially were going to have our cocktail hour outside, but changed it to inside because we didn't want guests to sit at the dinner tables and not go outside. The dinner table area was supposed to be roped off so no one would go in there and it wasn't. Therefore, people sat at the dinner tables and the wait staff fed all those guests during the cocktail hour instead of making it all the way through to the bar were the cocktail hour was actually being held. I have pictures of "strangers" off the street with a stroller and a small child in the middle of our cocktail hour looking at a video montage we made for our guests. Did I feed these people the food that was for OUR GUESTS?!?! At one point Abbey was extremely abrupt with two of my family members :( The pictures revealed an unkempt bar counter with several USED napkins, straws and EMPTY glasses. Many guests told me after the wedding that they did indeed have a difficult time getting drinks from the bartenders and they had very LITTLE food during the cocktail hour and mentioned the empty containers. These were just a few of the issues. Disappointing and DISGRACEFUL for a 5 star hotel/restaurant!!!! How do you accommodate a reception of 100+ guests?!
