    A dream rehearsal dinner

    We originally booked the Renaissance for our hotel block for our guests, which was a fairly easy experience overall. Our coordinator Erica was helpful, prompt, and responsive when we had some problems with Marriott's reservation system. In addition, she and Patrice were very helpful when we had people call last minute to get rooms within the block. All of our guests that stayed in the hotel were surprised at how spacious the rooms were given the deal we got on the price! We booked a suite for ourselves because I had my bridal party getting ready with me, and it was an absolute dream. It was amazingly spacious and beautiful, especially the marble bathroom. My photographer even used the marble counters to stage some detail photographs.

    About a month before the wedding, we were having trouble finding a low-key rehearsal dinner option for our budget and guest size. I called Erica and she set us up with a lovely, casual rehearsal dinner in the lobby court bar with heavy appetizers and drinks. My guests had a wonderful and relaxing time thanks to the surprisingly intimate setup and incredibly talented and kind staff. They even took the time to get know me and my now husband. Thanks to the Renaissance team, we had a fantastic evening getting to catch up with friends and family and a stress-free location to get ready for our wedding. Thank you to Erica and her team! I can't recommend them enough!

    9/14/2019 wedding

    Our wedding at the Renaissance was absolutely perfect! We were in the gold ball room. Jennifer was a big help throughout the entire process. However, sometimes her responses were slower than desired (literally the only difficult thing working with this vendor). The food was EXCELLENT! The venue was beautiful. The room was large and no one was on top of each other. They worked with our prices and were able to be flexible on their minimum to stay within our budget. I would highly recommend and would pick this vendor 1000x over again.

    I was very happy with the planning process and how everything turned out on the night of our wedding. Tanya Clark was the wedding coordinator that I worked with and she was very helpful. I had been to many weddings before and have been to 8 more since our big day last year and the Renaissance is about a 4 out of 5 in comparison to the other reception locations.

    Not one of my better hotel experiences. It was a rather expensive package that included champagne and chocolate-covered strawberries upon arrival, breakfast the next morning and a late checkout. The strawberries were NOT fresh. The room was luxuriously furnished, but small and cramped. There was only one chair so our breakfast was hardly romantic, as one of us had to sit on the floor to eat. Then, we walked around the hotel after breakfast only to find we were locked out of our room when we came back. At the front desk, they informed us that the late checkout was based on availability only and they were ‘fully booked,’ so our stay had technically ended. This was not stated during check-in, so how would we have known? The worst part was that, to help us out, my brother checked us into the room before the wedding and got the key. I called earlier that day to confirm that he did not need to show my credit card (which the room was booked under) or any credit card to check in – they said he didn’t need it. So, I didn’t give him the card. But, they did indeed force him to give a card, so he had to use his own. Not only did that result in him knowing how much we spent on the night (which I was already a little ashamed of), but they ended up charging both his card and mine and we had to straighten it out later - as if I didn’t have better things to think about, such as going on my honeymoon! It was a dismal experience, not worth even a fraction of the cost and I will never stay there again.
