Gorgeous result, trustworthy vendor

Look no further, Horrocks is the best value florist in GR.
We used Horrocks for the flowers for our wedding in September and they did a fantastic job! The flowers were gorgeous: they brought to life the color scheme I had picked out and the pictures I showed them ahead of time. They gave me a great price and the delivery was timed perfectly. Couldn't be happier!

I used Horrocks for my wedding flowers. They did all our bouquets and boutonnieres as well as our centerpieces. The flowers were amazing and prices were more reasonable compared to other floral locations I looked into. I do not live in state and they were easy to communicate with through email and easy to pay over the phone. Overall, I was very happy with this vendor!

Horrocks did a fantastic job with my wedding flowers. The bouquets were amazing and just what I wanted! I have been asked many times who did our flowers and heard many compliments on how great they looked. They really understood my desire for rustic elegance...and I am so thankful they were able to deliver to Holland!!

We used them for our wedding. They were able to give us great suggestions of what flowers to put together for center pieces and different decorations based on the colors we want so we could put them together ourselves and the corsages, boutonnières, and bouquets all looked great. Once we finished putting the flowers together ourselves too they looked really pretty.

Awesome job on the flowers! Flowers were a expenditure that I was not looking forward to-but we are so happy we went to Horrocks-as cheesy as it sounds I could tell that they cared and wanted to get everything right. Our first meeting we were completely unprepared as I don't really care about flowers and don't know much about them and had no idea what I even wanted-just something simple. When I received the quote after the first meeting I was outraged-but we went back and spoke again and I think she then got a better idea of how simple I wanted things to be-I didn't want there to be any type of lavish affair with the flowers as we were having a very laid back reception at a park. Then she sent us our second quote which was cut in half! We ended up doing a bulk flower order for the centerpieces as I was very particular as to how I wanted them to look. My bouquet was absolutely beautiful! Total we ordered 3 bridesmaids bouquets, my bouquet and 4 boutonnieres.

I was told by many people that Horrock's was the best place to go for flowers. The lady that helped us in choosing our flowers was so helpful. They didn't have any openings until after our wedding date and they still found time to squeeze us in. They did a fantastic job! Everything was so beautiful, beyond my expectations. They delivered and had everything set up before I even got there. Fantastic job to the people that helped make our special day even MORE special.

Horrocks did a wonerful job with our flowers. They were the best priced and the flowers were amazing! Fresh, and full bouquets. If they didn't have the flower I wanted they knew which flowers could replace it or look just like it. Wonderful service.

Horrock's was great to work with. I had multiple appointments to go over details, and they were really friendly and patient. I had no clue how complex floral ordering could be, but they were much more specific than just orange gerber daisies. Each shade and variety of orange had its own name. I had no idea!
We had the flowers delivered, and gave a window to be flexible, and they were right on time at the start of that window! The flowers were the most beautiful I've ever seen. My bouquet lasted over a week in a glass of water, AFTER carrying it around in the August heat for an entire day.
The items Horrock's created were: bridal bouquet, bridesmaids' bouquets, several boutonnieres and pin-on corsages, and cut stems for small vases to go on the dinner tables. All of the cut flowers lasted for a couple of weeks after the event. My younger sister will be using Horrock's for her own wedding next May.

My wedding flowers were better than I could have imagined. Horrock's was very easy to work with and went above and beyond. I forgot to tell them I would like my flowers delivered and remembered a few days before the wedding. They had no problem squeezing me in the delivery schedule, I am so thankful for their help!

Horrocks Market in Kentwood did an amazing job with all my bouquets and corsages. They turned out very beautiful, we had many compliments. We contacted many, many florists for pricing and Horrocks was by far the best. They did a great job helping me find the flowers I wanted for the bouquets, not knowing a whole lot about flowers to begin with. They were very easy to get in touch with, being only an email or phone call away. I will definitely be recommending them for any brides looking for beautiful yet affordable bouquets. Thanks again!

We met with Amy to help us with our flower order. I brought her photos I had printed out and she helped me decipher which flowers would be in season, what would be "durable", and what would look similar to the photos. She put together an estimate and had it to us promptly. The prices were very reasonable in comparison to other florists! There was also flexibility to have pick up or delivery, to put our pew baskets together ourselves or have them do it. She offered estimates on both! This was a no pressure vendor!!! When our flowers arrived on our day our family was ecstatic! The bouquets were huge and looked just like the photos I had shown her, the bouquets for the tables were very generous in size as well and were so lovely! The boutonnieres and corsages were likewise. I knew Amy and her staff had done a great job when my mom was pleased and ran over to the bridal suite to rave about the delivery! (We all know how tough mom's can be to please--right?? :) ) Wonderful Job!

The team at Horrock's created my dream flowers at such a reasonable cost! Everyone was blown away at the quality of the flowers and punctual service. I had made appointments with other flower companies in the area but Horrock's staff were the most knowledgable and friendly. When you get your quote you will be shocked by how inexpensive it will be but rest assured you'll receive the highest quality, fresh and gorgeous flowers! My bouquets were large and so beautiful. The entire order was all there and came right on time with labels which made distributing them a breeze. I had asked for them to wrap my bouquet with my mother's lace purse from her wedding and they did such an amazing job fulfilling that request along with my list of others ;-) Save yourself the planning time and stress, make an appointment with Amy and she'll take care of the rest.

Their value for cost should be 10 stars! They were wonderful. All you do is go in or call and make an appointment to sit down and talk to one of them and then when you do they literally let you pick every flower. They will shy you away from ones that are out of season and might cost you a little more, unless you really want them anyway. They will also let you change things and make payments over the phone. They delivered the flowers to our venue (which was far away) for a small cost and got there right on time. They do a wonderful wonderful wonderful job on their bouquets. They even called me because one of the flowers had come in a little bit of a different color than what we expected and asked if it was ok or if I wanted to switch to any other flower that they had available. Don't steer away from them just because they are cheap, they do an excellent job.

I had hope for more assitance in deciding what flowers I would get, so I would reccommend knowing what you want already if you choose this florist. I was so happy with my bouquet and the bridesmaids had purple tulips whiched also looked great. The arrangement they made for the front of the church was gorgeous . I kept it pretty simple and I was really happy with their service and appreciated that they delivered on the wedding day to the church.

Horrocks has a fabulous selection! I was able to sit down with someone and go through the flowers by color. The flowers were gorgeous and received compliments. Delivery was reasonable and we were able to add it at the last minute.

Seven days before my wedding day my initial florist went out of business and I was unable to contact them, they just disappeared! I was understandably frantic with only a week to find flowers for the church, wedding party, and centerpieces and began calling every florist in the area. Horrock's floral was the first to get back to me with a quote and they were incredibly helpful and went out of their way to ensure I got the exact same thing I had ordered from my first florist. Everything was beautiful, their delivery service was cheap and on time, and everything was very affordable. I can't say enough about how helpful and attentive Horrock's was! They truly saved my wedding!

We used Horrocks for my wedding last month at the recommendation of my MIL. They were very helpful and put together a beautiful set of bouquets and personal flowers for the grooms and family members. They even accommodated my request for silk daffodils in lieu of real ones during the summer months. Would definitely recommend to others.

WOW! The flowers were gorgeous! I had them do three styles: wreath around a lantern, loose arrangements in vases, and flowers/greens on top of lanterns. They did a phenomenal job and I was super impressed. I used all white flowers like lilies, queen anne's lace, orchids, etc and greens. The bridesmaids bouquets were exactly what I wanted. I supplied them with fabric I wanted around the stems and they nailed it! The grandma's pin ons were super cute with just two white orchids. I was worried about the white flowers turning brown but we didn't have a problem with it at all (except for the flower girls but she wasn't as careful with hers...)

Our initial meeting wasn't the easiest. I had my wedding planner there and I am so glad I did! I had the basic idea of what I wanted (white flowers and greens) but when I asked their recommendation it was like - well Im not sure do what you want. It would have been nice to have more guidance or at least recommendations of what flowers hold up well and go well with each other. They made it easy for me to make adjustments on the final order and even though they accidentally over charged me, they were quick to fix the problem.

We purchased our flowers in bulk and assembled them ourselves. The flowers were fresh, beautiful and held up extremely well, despite the 105 degree heat on the wedding day.

I was very happy with my choice of using Horrocks for our wedding flowers. I ordered hydrangeas in bulk to make up our own centerpieces and had them do the bouquets and boutonnieres. They were every helpful in figuring out how many flowers I needed to accomplish my centerpiece idea. You can't beat the price and believe me I tried!!!

We used Horrocks for all our wedding flowers and they turned out beautifully. We bought bulk flowers for the centerpieces- everything was fresh and looked very nice. Definitely be very prepared when you go in for the wedding consultation- I was sort of prepared, I knew what colors I wanted, and who I needed flowers for, but as far as knowing what flowers…I needed a lot of help. I wish I would have been more prepared, but Ami, the florist was able to give me some guidance as to what flowers to go with in the end. I made a few flower changes a few weeks before the wedding and they were very accommodating.

One thing that I noticed was that the pink hydrangeas we ordered for the centerpieces were more ivory than pink. It was weird because we got a few stems that were pink that looked awesome (just like they did in the store), and the rest were a very faint pink, but almost more of an ivory tone. Either way- they looked great, but it would have been nice if they were all the same color- but I know it’s impossible for flowers to be consistent, and they often vary in a wide range of shades. Would definitely recommend!

The customer service provided by Jackie, Ami and their team is top-notch. My bouquet was beautiful (peonies, ranunculus, and anemone). I also bought stock flowers (snapdragons) for our reception centerpieces and they were perfect and had no issues from purchase to the end of the reception (over 36 hours). Sadly, because of the sensitivity of my choices there were a few issues with our other flowers; however, Jackie was very gracious in handling my concerns, and I am appreciative of that.

Horrocks is a great place to go for Flowers because you have so many choices - you can order bulk flowers and arrange bouquets yourself OR they can do it for you (and they do a GREAT job). Actually by ordering bulk flowers you save yourself a little money but if your short of time having them arrange bouquets and centerpieces is the way to go!

I was planning on making my bouquet and decorations so I had a plan in mind when I went into the store. We were very pleased when the staff at Horrocks were happy to give me a few suggestions on which flowers would last longer in the September heat. It was great and SO AFFORDABLE. The bridesmaids were carrying cala lilies and my groomsman had a single cala lily with greenery, which was easily found at Horrocks. My bouquet was Hydrangeas, cala lilies, baby's breath and some of the greenery as well. I used some stock flowers for the wine bottles on my table decorations and ended up using hydrangeas to decorate anywhere extra.

It was all beautiful and easy to pick up for the groomsman. :]

I am so glad that I got my flowers from Horrock's! I've never heard of such reasonably priced wedding flowers. I ended up being able to get more than I thought I would, given my budget, and the flowers were beautiful! The florist there worked with me to come up with the bouquets and helped make recommendations. They handled everything very well, the flowers were beautiful, and you absolutely cannot beat the value.

Very good quality for the price! The flowers were lovely and fresh. They delivered for very little $. Jackie knew here stuff, and had great suggestions. She talked me out of using white flowers against my white dress. She pointed out how the flowers would not stand out at all, and made suggestions that would go well with my navy blue and platinum theme.

My only problem was there was no direct number to the floral department, so Jackie had to be paged every time I needed to get a hold of her. Also, some of the flowers had to be changed last minute because they couldn't get the right color in (my lilies had to be changed from white with pink centers to solid pink... no big deal).

I would suggest this floral shop to anyone on a budget!

After looking all over town for an affordable "by the stem" flower to make my own bouquet, I ended up here. They had the flowers I wanted, the color I wanted, and the price I wanted! This was one happy bride here!!

My original florist went out of business just over two weeks before the wedding. I actually was planning on arranging all the flowers myself and was very hard put to find someone else who was willing to sell me just the flowers. Horrocks was able to accomodate my need on very short notice, and even got me the same flowers that I was planning on using originally. The only criticism I have is that some of the roses were not as fresh as they should have been and opened a bit too far. We were able to get some replacements though it was an inconvenience.

The flowers were beautiful, but the florist who was supposed to help us was little help at all. She was very open to ideas, but to the point of offering no expertise or help.

Large assortment to choose from. Very fresh and colorful. Messed up my wedding flowers order, but replaced it with more expensive flowers they had in stock. Nice to work with for the most part.

We used Horrocks to provide our flowers in bulk, since we were doing very simple arrangements and were doing them ourselves, and they were going to be doing the crossages. Overall, they did a decent job. The corssages were pretty, and the bulk flowers have lasted a long time. I do feel that they were a bit overpriced for what they did and oversold us a bit on flower. I'd rather have to much then to little thou, so it wasn't the biggest deal, but it could have saved us some more money.

I ordered bouquets of Gerbera Daisies and Hydrangeas - I had heard that my cousins hydrangeas (also ordered from the same place) had died and I had just attributed that to her hot, outdoor, August wedding. However, mine wilted before the wedding as well.

While we were provided replacement flowers, we had to remake the bouquets ourselves between pictures and the ceremony.

While the staff was great to work with and the price was "right," I'm not sure the savings offset the wedding day hassle.

i would not recommend horrocks.

they were not professional, and provided very little guidance in helping to pick flowers. I ended up going with Eastern Floral and am so glad i did!! it was not much more expensive, and i was not at all worried about how my arrangements would turn out.

Extremely Poor Service - Cancelled Order

I do not recommend Horrocks for your wedding florals. They offered, hands down, the worst customer service of any wedding vendor I've been in touch with.

I was disappointed in the guidance offered at the consultation and frustrated that it took almost four weeks, and several nudges, before I even got a quote. Furthermore, when I stopped in to make amendments to the order, the ladies behind the counter almost seemed annoyed that I was there. They couldn't find my quote and then blamed me for telling them the wedding date (which they asked for) instead of the pickup date (one day prior, which I did not agree to), which is how they organize orders. When I would ask questions about what certain flowers or grasses looked like, they did not offer to show me pictures of what they were referencing until I got out my phone and started googling things. And even then, they did so with an eye roll.

I was so frustrated with the service that I cancelled my order, forfeiting the retainer fee. When I left my review with management, all she could offer was "I'm sorry you feel that way."

I highly recommend looking elsewhere for your wedding florals.

Earlier today, I paid more for milk than listed on the sign near the milk. The price was right above the cooler, but the milk in the cooler was priced higher than the sign. I will not go back to Horrocks again!
