Professional, Energetic, Fun

Tom with Horizon Entertainment was great to work with for our wedding (June 2024). He was patient with us and allowed us to tailor our music requests and provided great suggestions. From initial/final communications, to ceremony, to reception, music was exactly what we wanted. He provided a night of fun for us and our guests! We highly recommend.

Grant was our DJ for our wedding and he was amazing! He kept things running smoothly all night and knew how to read the room well. He had a great, natural energy that made the night feel fun and effortless and adjusted well to some last minute changes and requests of ours. He was a great communicator and was always quick to respond. He gave us great suggestions but also let us take the reins where we wanted. He was so nice and welcoming and I couldn’t have picked a better DJ

Grant is da bomb!

We had Grant for our ceremony and reception. He was great! Met with us beforehand to have us fill out a spreadsheet of timeline and playlist details and first dance songs ect. Made the day of much easier. He also coordinated transitions from ceremony to reception and everything in between. Most important, the dance floor was packed all night. My guests had nothing but positive reviews for him. If I had to do it all over I would absolutely book Grant at Horizon. He does al la carte things too. I added a custom monogram with me and the wifes name to display on the dance floor, he made sure it was exactly what we wanted. He also does custom up lighting if you want to add that on, I thought it contributed to higher vibes!

Amazing! 🩷

We had such an amazing time at our sister’s wedding in Oct 2023 that we wanted DJ Brandon Smith to be our DJ for our wedding in Feb 2025! He is respectful, responsive, and full of ideas that helped the time line of our wedding run smoothly. I can’t express enough the good energy that this man brought to our wedding and all night we had people complimenting his work and asking for his information. I can’t recommend him enough and look forward to future events with him and his team. 🥳

Grant Was the BEST

My wife and I have nothing but positive feedback to provide for Horizon Entertainment, more specifically Grant. Grant was very communicative leading up to our wedding and during. He went out of his way at multiple points during the wedding day to check in on us ensuring we had everything we needed. On top of this he put together a top notch playlist that kept the dancefloor lively all night!

10/10 would recommend Grant to DJ any wedding or event. He crushed it!

We had our wedding on October 12, 2024 at Whispering Hearts Event Center. Brandon was our DJ and let me just say he did not disappoint! He was so easy to work with - made a FaceTime appointment with us ahead of time to get to know us, what we expected, etc. which put our wedding day nerves at ease! He was so kind and professional, and knew how to hype up the crowd! There were family members that were on the dance floor that we never thought who would dance. Lots of people commented on how good Brandon was. Everything was perfect from the ceremony music, to cocktail hour, and reception. We are so happy we went with Horizon Entertainment and had Brandon as our DJ. Couldn’t recommend enough. Thank you so much for being apart of our special day!

Daughter's Wedding Day!

We cannot recommend DJ Dixon enough! Also, working with Narnia is amazing as well. She is very easy to talk to you, full of knowledge and expertise.

Dixon was the DJ my daughter Savannah and Her Husband Logan were looking for! He had a few meetings with them to make sure he knew them well and played everything they wanted and more! He had the dance floor lined with lights! He brought Sav and Logan into his booth as well! They had a blast and he helped make their wedding exactly what they dreamed it would be!

We had Grant as our Dj for our wedding! He did such an amazing job keeping everything organized and keeping everyone engaged on the dance floor. He was very flexible with meetings and accommodating to what my husband and I wanted as far as music and time line. We had a tighter time line for our reception and he did such an amazing job at keeping it on track for us so we did not have to worry about anything. It was such a fun night!

Best DJ Ever!

Horizon Entertainment was the best to work with for our wedding day. A coworker recommended them to me, and I am so happy she did! I made a huge mistake and put the wrong year down on our contract (whoops!). They were so quick to help and make up for my mistake. It was such a relief! Not to mention they gave us the best DJ, Brandon! We received SO many compliments on his joyful presence and DJ skills. The dance floor was always packed - I never wanted to leave! I cannot recommend them enough!

Most fun night ever!!

Grant took such great care of all of us - from our guests, to our bridal party, to my (new) husband and I! He helped make the night flow seamlessly and was a HUGE help when a small medical emergency occurred with one of our older guests. Not to get into too many details, but as the medical emergency was being handled by medical professionals, Grant made sure to help keep that from being the center of attention. On a more fun note - he made the party fun all the way through the last dance! I truly believe that he helped make sure our guests remembered our wedding as a fun filled day, rather than only remembering the medical issue. Thanks again, Grant and team!!!!

Our DJ was Bob, and he was absolutely amazing! He was so nice and made sure everything ran smoothly! He truly cared and made sure that my husband and I had all that we needed, coming up to us during the evening to check in. These little things made the biggest difference on our wedding day. I can't thank Bob enough for all he did to make this day amazing. I highly recommend Horizon Entertainment and know you would love them as much as my husband and I did!

We booked Horizon Entertainment at the suggestion of our venue and we are so happy we did! Grant was amazing and everything went smoother than we could have hoped for thanks largely in part to him! We felt that the cost was very aligned with our expectations / what we got. The multiple check ins and pre- system we used put us at ease prior to the big day. We highly recommend using them -

Grant was so awesome from the planning to keeping everyone entertained the night of our wedding! Horizon Entertainment: DJ Dixon

DJ Dixon accepted to do our wedding with 2 weeks notice after a previous cancellation. He exceeded our expectations, blended songs for our first dances and kept the dance floor going the whole night! My husband and I actually decided to stay an extra hour at our wedding because the dance floor was still going strong and it was too fun to leave! He constantly checked in with us to make sure he was fitting the vibe and our guests couldn’t stop talking about him! Aside from a great DJ he is also a super genuine person and we would HIGHLY recommend him for any event!

Let's Have Fun!

Could not say enough great things about Horizon Entertainment and especially Dixon! From the ceremony to cocktail hour, and the very important reception, Dixon had us under his musical wing the entire day. We chose Horizon for the price point and most of all the professionalism. First talking to Narnia it was clear to see they had one thing in mind: a flawless, but FUN time for the wedding. They also made it easy with their ceremony software that let us put in very important songs for very specific moments. On top of that, Dixon was super accommodating of a moment where we wanted a live song sung by our Bridesmaid and Best Man. Most importantly, our dance floor was never empty and there was tastes of music for our audience which came from all over the country. My wife and I were most worried about people having fun, and Dixon and Horizon delivered. Thank you!

Wonderful experience

We can not suggest a better dj for your wedding! We had Dixon as our dj and he was amazing! He not only was super involved through text, but we met up in person so he could really get a feel for what we were looking for. He really made our wedding feel personalized and not just a basic wedding playlist. He also worked great with my other vendors and helped me set up a timeline for all the music that was going to be played through the event.

Seamless wedding experience with Horizon Entertainment

I had the pleasure of working with Grant at Horizon Entertainment. He was so helpful with the planning process- from helpful suggestions, collaborating with my vision, and being open to various ideas. I felt very comfortable knowing that he had a wealth of experience in the business. On the day of, he worked seamlessly with the other vendors (videographer/wedding musicians) and helped the night move along so smoothly. Lastly, the music was so fun!! It had everyone engaged while also allowing for mine and my husband’s personal touches to shine through. Couldn’t recommend them more!

We had the best DJ! Dustin was awesome to work with and he had some really fun and amazing ideas that helped achieve the atmosphere we wanted for our wedding. He was also able to rework the schedule last minute due to some changes the day of the wedding so that everything turned out beautiful.

Awesome DJ!!

We had the pleasure of working with Gary Dixon. After our first conversation with Gary I knew he was going to be great, energy and experience really showed. He was extremely professional, responsive and helpful. He continued to be so easy to work with and spent time with us on the phone before our wedding day, helping us with the flow of the evening and various songs for each part of the night. Read the crowd- creating a killer vibe!

Dixon from Horizon Entertainment knocked it out of the fricken park. We were on the fence about having a DJ at our wedding for cost purposes. I am so glad we went with a professional DJ- and so glad it was Dixon! Prior to the wedding we completed some forms, and met with Dixon. He is super personable and professional and really instilled confidence in his ability to meet our needs. He was incredibly flexible despite our last-minute ceremony music changes. For the reception music, he really read the room creating an amazing vibe for the rest of the night. If Dixon could manage the music to my life, I would. Absolutely amazing DJ! Highly recommend!

Great Wedding DJ!

Grant was our DJ and he was great to work with. He kept in touch leading up to the event and was very helpful with suggestions and questions. He helped make sure the timeline of the evening went smoothly and checked in multiple times to make sure we were happy and see if we had any requests throughout the evening. We loved the online portal where we could add our music choices online while we were planning. It made it so easy. I highly recommend working with Horizons as your DJ!

Phenomenal!!

Grant was absolutely wonderful!! He was able to adapt to what was going on like unplanned speeches and music choices we wanted him to play at our wedding. He played everything we wanted and did an excellent job making sure we were taken care of. He was soo nice and fun and we will definitely hire him again when we have another party. Amazing experience!

We loved our Dj and they did an amazing job. we had Grant and he did a great job! He made sure to play songs that kept the dance floor packed the whole night and truly engaged the crowd. we were complemented throughout the night about how fun our wedding was. Excellent DJ - not cheesy

We loved working with Grant! He was an amazing DJ and helped us make our wedding a blast. Grant had great insight and helped us plan the music throughout the entire ceremony and reception. We met before the wedding to go over details and he really helped us personalize our wedding and make it the wedding of our dreams. He really incorporated our non traditional wedding reception songs at the perfect times and even gave one of our guests a mic to sing to a song (at our request) .

Worry Free Reception

Horizon Entertainment was absolutely amazing to work with during hectic wedding planning and a global pandemic. Rick was the utmost professional who made everything flow smoothly from the start of the planning process to the very last dance. Choosing music off of Horizon’s website was fun. It was easy to create our request list and the special details of our day when it was convenient for us. From the moment Rick met us at the reception door, I was able to relax and enjoy our guests. Rick had food ready for us upon arrival, carried my plate, and kept the day moving smoothly. I am sure a million questions came up, but he handled them all and I was able to fully enjoy our big day. Even with COVID regulations, Rick came up with fun and innovative ways to keep our guests in the spirit. We had a Battle of the College Fight Songs instead of a dollar dance and raised $350 for charity. Brian and I truly felt taken care of and had a worry free reception with Rick in charge.

The perfect DJ for us

We can't thank Rick enough for everything he did for our wedding, from answering constant questions, to helping us with the timeline, to just being a great DJ and person on our wedding day. Rick asked us what type of music we wanted and we were lost, but he guided us along the way, and he delivered a great up-beat party that kept the dance floor as full as it could be during a pandemic. He was very open about where he would set up and still did an amazing job while be stuck behind the bar due to spacing limitations. He even helped in ways we never expected a DJ to help, from making sure everything was moving well to simply making sure our glasses were always full and even carrying Kelsey's food to the table so she didn't accidentally get anything on herself. We couldn't have picked a better DJ or person for our day. Rick is awesome and I couldn't recommend him enough.

Fabulous Experience!

Horizon Entertainment was absolutely fabulous! The level of professionalism and service we received went way beyond our expectations. No matter how well you plan a wedding, there are unexpected moments that pop up. At my daughter's wedding, we had a medical emergency and Rick from Horizon Entertainment assisted in so many ways as we worked through the situation. He provided towels to the person in need, distributed drinks to the guests as they waited, adjusted the timeline for the evening's events, all while still providing excellent music and lighting. By the end of the night every guest new Rick's name. When was the last time you went to a wedding and were so impressed with the DJ that you remembered their name? We were so happy we chose Horizon Entertainment, they provided amazing service at a quality price.

Rick at Horizon Entertainment was absolutely amazing. He was extremely nice, informative and helpful throughout the whole planning process. He did everything he said he would do and more! Wedding Coordinator

As a wedding coordinator I work with many different DJs around the tri-state. However, every single client that uses this DJ ALWAYS remembers & talks about what an amazing time they had and how fun the music was that night. Rick goes out of his way to not only customize a package for each individual client, but to also put a personal touch on each experience as well. I've even seen him getting his clients their drinks. At the last wedding that Rick and I worked together on, the client had purchased Bistro lights that unfortunately stopped working right before the cocktail hour. With Rick's quick thinking and ingenuity we were able to get these lights up and running just before the reception began. He saved the day and the clients were incredibly & blissfully happy. We used Horizon Entertainment for our day of coordinator and we could not be happier! Narnia is absolutely amazing! More than a DJ

Rick did an amazing job at our wedding! He coordinated the music for our ceremony, cocktail hour, and dinner perfectly even though he had to switch locations within the venue to accommodate our cocktail hour and room flip. He certainly kept the dance floor packed all night and made sure to play all of our favorite songs. Rick is more than a DJ, as he goes above and beyond, helping with pictures, wedding flow, and even making sure we had drinks in our hands the entire night. Friendly, Fun, Full Package

Rick with Horizon Entertainment was amazing. My husband and I clicked with him right away and hoped that he was personally going to be our DJ. First impression at first meeting: He was quick to respond, friendly, personable, and willing to help out however he can. He followed through on everything. We had a few requests on cutting down songs and playing little snippets of songs. He was excited by our playlist and had good suggestions when we needed something. He put up some nice uplighting along the walls (cost extra, but brought a little more to the venue) which he color matched to our fall theme. He brought us drinks when we needed one and kept the night moving forward. It was especially nice when my uncle wanted to give a speech and he politely said that the only person who was allowed to have the mic was the father of the bride.

We are very happy with Rick and we highly suggest him for your wedding too! He will help you make it unforgettable!

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Rick with Horizon Entertainment. From my first interaction with him, he was professional, accommodating, and very pleasant. Over the course of the wedding planning process, he was very responsive with questions and was flexible in happily allowing us to add lighting to our package on short notice. We knew we were in good hands after our meeting with Rick prior to our wedding, and this took a huge weight off of our shoulders. At the wedding, Rick was much more than "just a DJ." BEST DJ!!! From our first planning meeting with Rick, we knew we made the right decision hiring him! Rick went above and beyond for us and was so friendly and professional! All of our guests have made compliments on how great the dance floor was all night! From a bride and groom aspect, Rick went the extra mile to make the ceremony and reception run smoothly!

The ceremony was in a garden with no outlets and Rick worked with us so music could play for our processional and recessional. There were multiple songs that we had incorporated to the ceremony and all cues were met and the sound volume was perfect.

Our reception was at Rhinegeist Brewery and from the beginning of the dancing to the end (3.5 hours) it was filled!!! We had a 28 person head table and, throughout the entire dinner, Rick was making sure everyone had drinks and made sure everyone was doing well! He didn’t just make us feel very special but made the whole bridal party feel special which we loved! He made sure to keep on eye on us and get us back on the dance floor throughout the night too! We had brought glow sticks that we didn’t realize needed to be assembled so Rick and my husband put together about 200 glow sticks! We couldn’t have asked for a better DJ!

We promise hiring Horizon Entertainment will be one of the best decisions for your wedding day! Thank you for everything Rick!!!!

From the very first meeting with Rick, we knew he was extremely knowledgeable in music and ready to help make our night the most special time. Rick took our reception over the top! We had a lengthy reception, around 4 hours of dancing, and Rick kept people on the dance floor the entire time! He was incredibly flexible with the schedule (every little request I had was met) and had a great song library to select from.

One of the songs I requested (Always by Frank Sinatra; was my grandparents' wedding song) wasn't in the library, but Rick found it once he knew it was an important request. He really went above and beyond to make the night perfect!

Grant was THE BEST!! We couldn't have asked for a more perfect DJ for our wedding ceremony and reception. He made everything so easy and we got so many compliments from our guests about how good the music was. During our consultation with Grant, one thing we made clear was that it was important that our music wasn't too loud so that the people who don't dance were able to have conversation. The volume was perfect and we didn't have to ask him to adjust at all. Our grandparents all made comments about how nice it was that the music was not too loud. Grant kept the party going and cleared it with us if our friends had ridiculous requests. He checked in with us throughout the night and even got us drinks several times, which was so thoughtful and not something we would expect a DJ to even worry about! Other than being great at his job, Grant is so friendly and down to earth. You would be crazy not to go with Horizon Entertainment for your event. The quality you get for the value is unbelievable! Our dj was amazing. He helped me carry my plate from the buffet, kept us on track, basically did everything for us! Best I could have asked for!!

Dave was fantastic! From our first meeting, he was so personable and wonderful to work with. Horizon Entertainment has a great online request system that we and our guests were able to use, and Dave accommodated the requests and kept our guests dancing all night. Horizon Entertainment was a great value, too. Highly recommended!

Corey was a fantastic DJ, but not just that, he was so helpful in planning our perfect reception! Both my husband and I were clueless about planning a reception, but Corey gave us a lot of ideas, direction, and support in putting together a great timeline. The flow of the night was perfect. Corey played all of the songs we requested and kept everyone on the dance floor. He even carried my plate as I walked through the buffet and brought water out as we were taking pictures! We could not have had such a seamless, perfect night without his support. Very professional, responsive, and a GREAT price. Definitely recommend using him!

Rick Pate was a great master of ceremonies.
Horizon Entertainment provided the DJ service, all equipment necessary for guests to view and listen to a "love story" of the bride and groom produced by the photographer, and the amplification system for the wedding ceremony minister. The amount spent was for all these services.

Grant was a pleasure to work with! He made it easy to enjoy our day and relax about the timeline. He was very professional and attentive. We really couldn't have expected anything better than what Horizon provided us with. Highly recommend!!

We had an amazing experience with Rick from Horizon Entertainment!! Rick went above and beyond to make our day special. All of our guests loved Rick and we have continued to get compliments about how our music and DJ were great. We even had guests at our wedding ask for Horizon Entertainment's information so they could use them for there own wedding. We can't thank Rick enough for making our day awesome!!

Corey was great to work with! He was less expensive than other DJS I looked into but I felt I got so much. He coordinated the reception seamlessly, followed all our requests and made me feel totally at ease. He's a great DJ and person.

Corey from Horizon Entertainment was the DJ for our wedding, and he could not have done a better job. The music was perfect, and our dance floor was always full. He took all of our input leading up to the wedding, using the playlist we had made, and incorporating similar style songs. Although we had laid out a time line before the wedding, he still quietly appeared by our sides when we had a free moment to double check if we were okay with proceeding as planned. He went above and beyond the expected role of a DJ. He brought us drinks when we were too caught up in the day's activities to make it over to the bar and he encouraged us to take the time to enjoy our dinner. He communicated well with the other vendors to make sure our wedding day ran smoothly. We would absolutely use Horizon Entertainment again and highly recommend them. Thanks Corey!

Horizon Entertainment was great to work with. We were able to request songs that we wanted to play beforehand as well as letting our guests request certain songs, and the audio sounded great. Rick was a pleasure to work with, he was willing to help us out with anything we needed whether it was keeping us informed of what we should be doing at what time so we didn’t have to worry about it, or helping me (the bride) get food. I would definitely recommend them to anyone planning a wedding. Our guests had a great time, and were on the dance floor until the last song.

Corey was a great DJ for our wedding back in May at the Masonic center in Dayton. He played all of our requests, was great at introducing the wedding party and making announcements. He was also very reasonably priced for the quality he brought. He was great to work with.

Horizon Entertainment was a great company to work with for our wedding, both ceremony and reception. I met with Corey who was friendly and really sold me on going with them as our DJ. Horizon Entertainment doesn't have any of those added charges to "upgrade" your DJ and they don't charge you per hour.

Ultimately, Rick ended up DJing our ceremony and wedding. He was great. He met with us before the wedding to go over everything and talk about any concerns. He was fantastic during the reception and made sure the whole evening stayed on track which was awesome because the big day can be a bit chaotic to say the least. We got so many compliments on the music and the dance floor was packed all night. I would highly recommend Horizon Entertainment. They are awesome DJs/guys for half the price of other companies out there - other companies that just seem to want to nickel and dime you to a ridiculous level. I would hire Horizon again in a heartbeat.

If you are looking for a DJ service that will go above and beyond and not cost a fortune, Horizon should be your go-to. We had David as our DJ and he was wonderful to work with. He did a face time meeting with us because we were living out of state. The online planning tool was genius. He asked all the right questions and kept the reception running smoothly and had everyone on the dance floor the whole time. My Dad even had him extend the music an extra half hour because everyone was still dancing and having a great time. We have had a lot people asking us who we used for our DJ and I recommended all of them to Horizon Entertainment.

Horizon is great!!!! Our DJ Grant was excellent! He was so pleasant and helpful. He did his best to make sure that everybody was having a great time and everything was taken care of. I couldn't have asked for anything more. If you are in the Cincinnati area book with Horizon, you will not regret it.

Corey was the best part of our reception! If you are looking for a professional and knowledgable DJ, consider Horizon Entertainment. He was very helpful with all of our questions and guided us through the planning and executing of the schedule for our reception. My mom is still raving about him! Corey listened to our music requests and preferences- and stuck to them- and had everyone out on the dance floor almost the whole night!

Truly, if you are looking for a great, budget friendly DJ, consider Horizon Entertainment. I would choose Horizon Entertainment every time.

I could not be happier with our choice in Horizon Entertainment. I received several quotes from various DJ's and I have to admit that I was skeptical because of the low price. I was blown away. The guys were so nice and answered any and all questions we had. They gave great suggestions and helped guide us through a reception timeline. Grant was our DJ and he was awesome and had everyone dancing! He played a great mix of something for everyone! Seriously this is a great choice!!

Corey was our DJ and he was excellent! We met once before the wedding and gave great suggestions. He met us as soon as we got out of the limo as kept everyone coordinated and timely to enter the reception. He was professional and provided jut the right type of music for the atmosphere. There wasn't as much dancing as I expected and he adapted well and played more group dance songs to keep people on the dance floor. I could not be more happy with Corey and Horizon entertainment! Thanks so much guys!
