Hooten Photograohy - a must-book!

Melba & Scott are AMAZING!!! We did both our engagement photos and wedding photos with them, and they are a delight to work with. They are extremely dedicated to getting all the right shots! They have an incredible eye for taking beautiful photos that are natural and capture the true essence of the occasion. I highly recommend!

Incredible photographer!

Melba and Scott are so awesome! They have an incredible talent in capturing all of the beauty and happiness that surrounds this special day! The pictures were AMAZING! They are super nice to work with and honestly make you feel like family!

I have had the pleasure of working with Hooten Photography for past photo shoots so when it was time to hire photographers for my wedding, they were a no brainer (and the first people we contracted)! Melba and Scott are amazing! I can’t tell you how pleased we were with their services. They were our photographers for our engagement pictures and our wedding pictures. Not only are their pictures amazing, they are fun and easy to work with. I instantly felt comfortable with them, like we’d known them for years, which is important when your having your picture taken. I love that they don’t charge you by the hour. They take the time to take all the pictures you want/need and even pictures you don’t realize you need! Everyone that looks at our pictures comments on how amazing and beautiful they are. I am in awe that I get to remember my wedding by the amazing pictures they took. Every time I look at them, I live our wedding day all over again!

Melba and Scott are AMAZING! I searched for photographers for a good 6 months, I talked to so many different people and I just couldn't click with them, they were trying to push their ideas and suggestions on me despite me stating that it wasn't what I wanted and were disregarding my husbands and my vision. When I spoke to Melba and Scott they were all about what WE wanted, they were interested to find out who we were as a couple so that they could bring that through in the photos and throughout the wedding day. On our wedding day, they were on time for everything, and were honestly my sanity. When everything was getting chaotic (much more than I thought it would), they were there to calm me down, they made me feel at ease not only with the way they treating and talking to me, but also with the way they were able to adapt to the changes and curve balls with ease. If something did not go to plan they were already on the next best step and helping guide everything pre-ceremony along. After the ceremony, when the formals were taking place and everyone was everywhere else but ready to take their picture, they again helped things flow as best they could, my feet swelled up in my heels making the whole process unbearable (thanks to the Miami heat), Melba was there for me in every which way, and went above and beyond what she was there for. During the reception, Melba and Scott were their to capture all the fun and time with friends and family that was so important to us. They also had a post wedding shoot with us that was AMAZING! it was so wonderful to be able to have a shoot 2 days after the wedding just my husband and I, the wedding day goes by so quickly and is on such a timeline that it was nice to have a solo shoot where everything was relaxed and all about us as a couple. They made us feel so at ease and were able to capture us being playful and really showcasing how much we love and care for each other, also MY HUSBAND LOOKS AMAZING IN ALL THE PICTURES! *swoons*

Melba and Scott were just wonderful. We loved all of our photos. We had a very casual wedding in wynwood and they worked with us to capture all the special moments of our party. They were flexible to what we wanted for our big day and made every shot look amazing!

Hooten Photography was absolutely amazing! They photographed our engagement session and our wedding. They are very professional, sweet, caring, and go above and beyond to be there for the couples they work with. They make themselves available for meetings, phone calls, and make you feel comfortable and secure. My husband and I had the best experience, and thanks to the beautiful pictures they have captured we get to relive such a wonderful moment in our lives. They have become great friends. We highly recommend them. Best photographers ever!!!!!`

Melba and Scott Hooten of Hooten Photography are simply the best! They shot our engagement photos and our wedding photos and we were beyond thrilled with the results of both. Melba and Scott captured lasting memories of our wedding that we will revisit for many years to come. Melba and Scott are extremely professional, reliable and considerate. They are do an excellent job of making you feel comfortable behind the camera so that the photographs feel natural and candid. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for engagement shoot or wedding photographers.

I have had the privilege of knowing Melba for some years now, and when she first told me about her photography company, I was SOOOOO happy for her and Scott. Hooten Photography is not only top notch quality and professionalism, but they also bring a "human" aspect to your special day. You want to feel relaxed and comforted knowing that everything will be taken care of, and they did just that!! Not only did they make Pete and my wedding day so memorable, they have also taken photos for other events in my musical career, as well as for our engagement. Can't recommend them enough!! Beautiful work, and beautiful people! CALL THEM NOW!

The shots Melba and Scott took of our wedding were spectacular.
They captured special moments of the people and action during the day in a way we never believed would have been possible.
They are a beautiful couple who made us and all of the guests feel like an important part of the day with their shots. I loved that they also got so involved and enjoyed the day too - I will never forget waiting at the altar and seeing Melba with a tear in her eye. Hooten Photography is just amazing. Melba and Scott are a married couple who work so great together. Aside from their talent, and the value of their service (they truly NEED to charge more; their pictures are just spectacular) they are such good hearted people who reach out to their clients and made us feel like friends. We had dinner a few times together and it's just like hanging out with your own friends! My husband is not the photographing type of person. He's just awkward about things like that. Scott made the whole situation so comfortable and painless for him. Every time we meet up they both just hit it off and it gave me soooo much peace of mind that my husband would look great in our pictures because Scott made him so comfortable. Melba is just a LOVELY soul and is so easy to talk to and connect with. I seriously just love them both so much and plan to make them part of all my family events as my family begins to grow and reach important milestones. Thank you guys, we love you!

What can I say Scott and Melba are an amazing team! From our engagement pictures in Colorado to our wedding day here in Miami, these two have exceeded our expectations. They love what they do and it definitely shows in their photographs. They capture moments you didn't even think could be captured! They will be photographing all my important events without a doubt! I would highly recommend Hooten Photography.

Melba and Scott are always smiling and make you feel so comfortable when taking pictures, they dedicate themselves to you and your event.

Hooten photography is hands down a total package. It's a husband and wife duo that allows you to feel more than comfortable while taking the pictures. During our engagement session it was so easy to be ourselves and that showed in our photos. When we received our photos, we were elated! They take pride in their work and it really shows. If you choose them you will not regret it!

We came upon beautiful wedding pictures of friends of ours on Facebook and instantly fell in love with the Hootens' work of art! Now, after almost 8 months of marriage, we love looking back at our wedding photos to relive every moment captured by the Hootens. Both, Melba and Scott are two of the sweetest and most talented photographer couples you'll ever come across! :)

I am sooooooooooo glad that we found Melba & Scott Hooten of Hooten Photography. I randomly came across their website when looking for a photographer and am so glad that I did. Their prices were very reasonable and they are a husband & wife team who shoot together. Their package included an engagement session and the pictures were amazing!!! They were always responsive by email and they even made a guestbook for us using the engagement photos. I also really liked the fact that they did not have a pre-set time limit for the wedding. Due to various reasons, we had a break of a few hours between the ceremony and the reception. Some of the photographers I met with had very specific time limits, so if I would've used them, they would've had to leave the reception early. Not Melba & Scott - they arrived to take the "getting ready" shots and were there until the very end. It's clear that photography is a passion for them and they enjoy what they do so much. I highly, highly recommend Hooten Photography. Google their website and send them an email. You'll be glad you did!!!
