The lemon blueberry cake from Honey Crumb was the most perfect dessert for our summer BBQ wedding! They were so amazing to work with including adjusting our pick up time when we had a last minute schedule change. Our micro cake was absolutely stunning, and the sheet cakes for the guests were absolutely delicious! The gluten-free macarons in the matching flavors were also a perfect touch for our guests with sensitivities. -

Ordered my wedding cake through Carla, and it was 100% the best experience. We did the cake tasting, which was honestly the most enjoyable part of the whole wedding planning process. Carla is incredibly knowledgeable and friendly and made the most amazing cake with sugar flowers in our wedding colors that now serve as a gorgeous memento of our day. We are already looking forward to ordering an anniversary cake! -

My husband and I decided to hire Honey Crumb after going to a wedding show and determining that their cakes were both the best tasting and the most beautiful cakes we have ever tried! Carla coordinated with our florist so she could create sugar flowers for our cake that matched the real flowers in the flower arrangement that went around our cake, which I thought was so cool! Many of our guests told us how good the cake tasted afterwards. And we will definitely be getting all birthday cakes and other special occasion cakes from Honey Crumb going forward! :) -

I 100% recommend Honey Crumb Cake Studio! My husband and I booked them for our wedding on 12/29/23. After trying a taste box from Honey Crumb, there simply was not another option we would entertain - the cakes are just otherworldly delicious! We actually could not decide which flavor we wanted (too many amazing ones) so we chose three and ordered a trio of smaller cakes, and we could not be happier with how everything turned out! Our guests absolutely LOVED the cake flavors at our reception. And the sugar flowers Honey Crumb created to match our wedding florals were just flawless! Our reception was out of the delivery radius, so we had a friend pick up the cakes before the reception - Honey Crumb made sure the cakes were packed securely for us, and they arrived perfectly! Cannot say enough good things, and we highly recommend Honey Crumb Cake Studio!! I can't wait until my next special occasion so I have another excuse to order a cake from them! :) -

Honey Crumb was recommended to me when searching for our wedding cake bakery, and I’m so glad we went with them! My coordinator was excited to hear which bakery we chose for our cake; she only had good things to say about Carla.
We ordered a medium one tier micro-cake (chocolate with salted caramel buttercream, stucco exterior) for our wedding. The decoration options, cake flavors, and possible filling combinations available made it impossible to go wrong with customization.
The actual cake was amazing. It had the perfect texture, was absolutely delicious, and looked beautiful.
While there is a small window for pick-up, there was no issue getting our cake. They were very polite and provided instructions to make sure there would be no cake-tastrophies during transit to the venue.

As someone with celiac disease, I've never be able to eat the fancy cake at any wedding I've attended. So as soon as we had a wedding date, I knew I wanted my fancy cake and to be able to eat it too. I'm happy to say I got exactly what I hoped for!
We ended up having to delay our event due to COVID, and were able to keep Honey Crumb as our vendor. Communication was great from initial quote through the significant changes on date & guest size and all the way through pick up. I am impressed with their professionalism and attention to detail.
We had a beautifully decorated, delicious, two-tiered, gluten-free, Lord of the Rings inspired cake. The bottom tier was velveteen carrot and the top lemon blackberry. Everyone was shocked about the sugar leaves being edible. We also had gluten versions of the same flavors as kitchen cakes to serve to guests. Highly recommend this route if you're hoping to cut costs.
We got a lot of comments from guests along the lines of "I don't normally like wedding cake, but this is amazing!" And the folks who were able to have both the gluten and non-gluten versions were impressed with the quality of the gluten-free versions of the flavors.
Additionally, as a non-binary person, it means a lot to me that Carla and her team never misgendered. They also were accepting and enthusiastic about the offbeat approach my spouse and I took with our wedding.
Can't wait for my next excuse to order a fancy cake from Honey Crumb! -

My now-wife and I got the chocolate cake with fig balsamic for our wedding, and it was fabulous. Honey Crumb’s owner Carla was easy to communicate with throughout the process leading to our big day. Honey Crumb delivered and set up our cake without a hitch, it looked (and tasted!) exactly like what we requested, and now we have a tasty top tier and box of sugar flowers for post-wedding enjoyment. No regrets! -

Carla was super responsive over email and helped us decide on what size cake would be best for our group size. Our cake from Honey Crumb was absolutely incredible! We were looking for a vegan wedding cake and were so excited to find that Honey Crumb’s gorgeous cakes had vegan options! We submitted our inquiry and ordered a tasting box and Carla followed up super quickly to update us on her availability and outline our options. She was super sweet and friendly when we picked up our box and we were so impressed by how good the sample cakes were! Once we started the ordering process, Carla was super helpful with our decision making, always responded fast, and gave us clear breakdowns of what the pricing would look like based on our choices. We ended up choosing a chocolate cake with raspberry filling, decorated with four sugar flowers and greenery.
On the day of our wedding we were completely blown away by how beautiful and intricate the flowers were. All the guests were genuinely surprised that they were made out of sugar! And it was absolutely delicious. As a long time vegan, I am completely floored by Carla and her team’s ability to make a vegan cake that is just as good as a non-vegan cake, and make it visually stunning on top of that. When we first started planning, we were unsure that we’d be able to find a vegan cake at all, let alone one that was so perfect in every way. We are so grateful that Honey Crumb totally knocked it out of the park, and that we get to keep our sugar flowers as a beautiful memento from our celebration. -

A stunning plant-based cake that omnivore guests were raving about - oh and WOW those sugar flowers!!
When we first saw the amazing sugar flowers Carla creates for Honey Crumb cakes, we knew we had found our perfect cake - however we were planning an entirely plant-based wedding and have a high bar for our desserts so really hoped Honey Crumb would have something available for our wedding and the cake would taste as amazing as it looked. We were completely wow-ed on both counts. Not only does Honey Crumb have an extensive set of plant-based and dairy-free cake options but WOW are they delicious! We could hardly decide between the light and flavorful vanilla almond cake with raspberry filling, the decadent chocolate cake, or the lovely, slightly spiced carrot. In the end we picked the almond cake and the carrot cake with a lemon buttercream frosting and the guests could not believe it was dairy-free and were raving about the cake all night. That doesn't even get into the sugar flowers which truly stole the show. At first guests couldn't believe they weren't real! We really appreciate Carla (a South African like the groom) making us some lovely Queen Protea flowers to represent the groom's birth country and being so lovely to work with. Thank you Carla and the Honey Crumb team!! We highly highly recommend them for your special day. -

Carla at Honeycrumb was so great to work with. My husband and I needed vegan cakes, and we were getting married on a Wednesday (which doesn't work with the normal cake pickup schedule). Carla worked tirelessly with us to come up with a solution where we froze the cakes for a few days before thawing on our wedding day to preserve freshness and taste. Let me tell you - these cakes looked utterly perfect even after being frozen and thawed and they TASTED amazing! Far better than some vegan-specialty bakeries, in fact the cake was so good that it was completely eaten by our (nonvegan) guests who continued to remark on how delicious it was. We are so grateful to Carla for helping us have a real 'wedding cake' experience despite having a non-traditional wedding. I cannot recommend Honeycrumb highly enough! -

We bought a fully vegan cake. It was absolutely beautiful and delicious! Everyone loved it! They were very accommodating and delivered the cake to the venue. The price is affordable and they were wonderful to work with. Excellent customer service! I highly recommend this bakery, especially if you have food allergies or special dietary needs. -

Amazing wedding cakes!
My husband and I hired Carla and her team for our wedding in September 2019. From the moment we first reached out to Honey Crumb, my husband and I were impressed. We didn't really have a plan for our wedding cake going in to our first meeting with Honey Crumb, but Carla took our ideas and theme and created a fantastic sketch showing exactly what we wanted! We ended up getting 3 flavors of cake (white tuxedo, velveteen carrot, and morning jacket) because we couldn't choose just one, and received so many compliments from guests on our wedding cake. Thank you to Carla and her team for helping make our wedding day perfect! -

Carla and her team are delightful, professional, and make cakes that are both works of art and delicious! We started working with Carla in early 2020, planning for a 130-person wedding in June. With the pandemic, we ultimately shifted to a 15-person ceremony in September 2020, and Carla was gracious and flexible with our changing plans. We had planned on a three-tier cake with a design inspired by one of our favorite pieces of artwork, and Carla seamlessly made the transition to mini cakes for each household instead, keeping the same design and same flavors.
Our guests loved their mini cakes, raved about both the London Fog and dark chocolate cake with chocolate buttercream flavors, and couldn't believe the flowers decorating their cakes were made entirely out of sugar. (Yes, really!) They took a gazillion photos, went home with the sugar flowers, and left nothing but crumbs.
I know we'll be working with Honey Crumb again in future - there's nowhere else I'd rather go for a celebratory cake of any kind. -

Words cannot begin to express how lucky we felt to have Carla create our stunning wedding cake. Her attention to detail, responsiveness, expertise in what we envisioned as well as her wealth of knowledge she provided at every appointment made our decisions that much more seamless. We tasted at several bakeries and Honey Crumb Cake Studio exceeded expectations and delivered exactly what we were wanting. Carla's cakes are masterpieces and the flavor blew our guests away with the depth in flavor. We still hear from our friends and family on what a show stopper our cake was while also being filled with the classic richness of how well executed cake should taste. We went with the Morning Jacket and Toffee Vanilla Latte and still think about those flavors! Carla created special sugar flowers that replicated what was in my wedding bouquet and they were simply exquisite! Carla went above and beyond by putting those sugar flowers in a glass cloche for me to cherish forever after our wedding day. I couldn't recommend Honey Crumb Cake Studio enough for their incredible flavors, professionalism throughout the entire process and the level of art they created for our special day. I know we will continue to order through Honey Crumb for parties and events. Working with Carla and her team is always such a pleasure! Thank you again for making our wedding day so perfect! -

After a few disappointing experiences at bakeries near my venue, I broadened my search into the Seattle area and found Honey Crumb almost immediately. With some of the most beautiful sugar flowers featured on their site, I couldn't help but reach out to Carla for a quote. She was exceptionally professional and quick to respond, and was willing to schedule my order only a few short months before the wedding. The tasting packs you can order are the perfect way to sample the flavors (❤ Raspberry Marlene ❤), and the design of the cake itself took my breath away when I saw it at the reception. Despite the 100-mile journey, the cake was perfect; Carla makes sure to provide you with helpful hints, should you be brave enough to take it to the venue yourself. Overall, I couldn't be happier with the experience and would highly recommend Honey Crumb! -

So glad we went with Honey Crumb for our wedding cake! We received so many compliments on how good the cake was. My only regret is not making sure a few slices were set aside for my new husband and myself to eat the next day as we only got a few bites! Devin Sent on 08/09/2018My husband and I live in Michigan but had our wedding outside of Seattle, and used websites like Wedding Wire and The Knot to find out various vendors. I fell in love with Honey Crumb Cake Studio the moment I clicked on their website. Honey Crumb makes the most beautiful and decadent looking cakes I have ever seen. I reached out to Honey Crumb and received a prompt response, and then quickly moved forward with ordering our cake. We ordered a two-tiered cake comprised of Cookie Monster and Strawberry Cream (If I remember correctly). We were unable to do a cake tasting, but I think that made everything more exciting on the day of the wedding! Our cake was incredible. I have never tasted a more delicious cake, and I absolutely cannot wait to order our anniversary cake next year!!

Tara Sent on 01/17/2018The wedding cake was the detail that I concentrated the most of my energy on. We tasted cakes at four places, including driving all the way down to Kent (never doing that again). When we first looked at Honeycrumb, we thought that their prices were too high when there were other places at about half the price. But then we tried Carla’s cakes and it was very quickly decided because not only were her cakes incredibly delicious and we had a hard time picking a flavour, but she was also wonderful to chat with, designed gorgeous cakes, and had allergy-friendly cakes for my mom as well. Our primary cake flavour is called “Curious George”, which is a banana cake with nutella buttercream. It was absolutely incredible and a great throwback to the first baking we did together - a banana nut bread with chocolate chips. The flowers on our cake were sugar flowers, hand made by Carla and her team. The outside is a lavender ruffle ombré, which is just gorgeous. Her Instagram is incredible - they make far more beautiful cakes than what we got. Many people told us that it was the best wedding cake they had ever tasted. Our three year old guest even ate an entire slice by himself! As a vendor, she was responsive when we emailed her and good at following up with deadlines. The cake was a delight and we would recommend Honeycrumb to anyone looking for a wedding cake!

Kim Sent on 08/27/2011As I looked at these ratings I wanted to find something higher than a "5" to give her. Carla was amazing from the first moment we met. My husband and I had a unique idea for our wedding cake, tiramisu. We wanted it to be tiered, which typically they are not. Carla presented us with a taste test the first time we met, along with some ideas for presentation. Her pictures of cake options are elegant, not your typically glommed on frosting look. Carla took on the project of making our layer tiramisu cake as if it were her own wedding and the end product was perfect. Each layer was covered with a different chocolate shell to hold the tiramisu together; one milk chocolate, one white chocolate, and one dark chocolate. We even had different flavored liquids the cake had been soaked in. She brought the cake to us, assembled it for us, decorated it with flowers, and instructed the cutters on how to present it.
Carla is a true professional with amazing customer insight. She is flexible and eager to make your vision a reality, a much needed attribute for a busy bride and groom. I would highly recommend her for any special occasion cake. I simply cannot say enough positive things for her. I'd give her a "10" if it were available! -

User1277090 Sent on 08/07/2013Carla with Honey Crumb Cake Studio is amazing. She is very professional and creative. I had a very unique vision of my cake and she executed it beautifully! I did think the price was a bit high but the quality and value was definitely right up there with it. And she worked with me to get my price down closer to my budget. My only negative thing I have to say is that there was a time when I didn't get a response from her for over a week. However, she handled it very well and said she was just very caught up in making a cake for an upcoming wedding and assured me that when it was time to work on my cake, there would be some brides getting impatient with her as they waited for her response back because she would be caught up working on my masterpiece. I just loved that response. Not only was the cake beautiful and what I wanted, the taste was amazing. Aside from my beautiful venue, the positive comments I got from guests was how delicious and beautiful the cake was! I definitely recommend her. You will get the highest quality cake, a true work of art and exactly what you want as well.

Linda Sent on 11/30/2014The cake was a little more plain than we would have liked, but it was also the most delicious cake we've ever tasted and she came up with some amazing ideas, including having our first message to each other printed on a sheet of sugar "paper" and making a flower out of it. While it was a bit plain, I'd choose her again in a heartbeat and recommend her to everyone.
