Hometown Desserts made a beautiful wedding cake and a stunning array of bite-sized desserts for our wedding reception that were a huge hit! The beach-themed cake and shell-shaped cookies were simply beautiful - and delicious. Cindy is so easy to work with, and even made our cake and special cupcakes gluten free as my stepdaughter has celiac. -

Cindy was simply wonderful from our first tasting to providing all our delicious wedding desserts on the day of. She was true to the inspiration pictures I provided, and was quick to respond to emails and phone calls. Besides LOOKING amazing, all our goodies were very yummy and we did not have very much left over to take home, The price was very reasonable for the quality of service, and I would highly recommend Hometown Desserts to any bride. -

Hometown Desserts is the best cake around. Cindy makes the tastiest/moistest cakes (keylime coconut and coconut are my favorites), and I can't get enough of them. Everytime I'm in Anna Maria, I have to stop by and get some.
That's exactly why we hired Hometown Desserts for our wedding weekend. We had cookies and cupcakes for our rehearsal dinner, a hilarious Family Guy cake for the welcome reception, and of course, the most stunning multi-tiered cake for our wedding. Everything was devoured, and people were coming back for more.
Can't recommend Hometown Desserts enough for your next event, or just a regular evening when you need something sweet. Thank you thank you!!! -

Wedding cake
Recently ordered a wedding cake & cupcakes for our sons wedding. The cake was absolutely beautiful & exactly what was ordered. The cake & cupcakes were so moist & delicious. The bride, groom & guests were impressed! Would highly recommend this bakery. Cindy was a pleasure to work with too. -

Hometown Desserts was one of our venues preferred wedding vendors, after hiring them I completely understand why! We met with Cindy about 6 months before our wedding with a out of the normal request. My husband and I love cupcakes, when we first started dating we would go on "cupcake adventures" to different bakeries in New England just to try their cupcakes. After moving to Florida we continued that adventure. For our wedding my husband suggested us having a build your own cupcake bar! We messaged several vendors who were unable to see our vision. When we explained to Cindy what we wanted to do she was excited to help us! We chose 3 different flavor cakes, 2 frostings and a variety of toppings. Guests would come up to Cindy during our reception and literally create their own cupcake! We not only got great compliments on the idea but also they quality of the cupcakes! About a month before our wedding we also found out the baker scheduled to make our mini cake was unable to do so. I called Cindy and she was able to accommodate our last minute request! Our cake was key lime with a buttercream frosting and it was delicious! I can't wait to go back for our anniversary cake! Cindy's service is great as well as her pastries. Thank you for being apart of our special day and bringing our vision to life! -

Shauna Sent on 12/05/2017Friendly staff and accommodating. We sat down and had a tasting, delicious cakes and a wide variety of options. We told them what we wanted and they worked with us to give us exactly what we wanted. Made sure that we didnt purchase more than we needed. Provided the tiers to set up the cakes and cupcakes and went to the venue the day off to set the cake you for us. They even made a small cake for us to take home and save for our one year anniversary. Amazing experience!

Her unique flavors like key lime, orange and strawberry made for a fun tropical twist! We had nothing but rave reviews from our guests about her homemade desserts! -

Jinny Sent on 12/01/2015Hometown Desserts has the most delicious cake I've had. Their key lime coconut is to die for. We showed Cindy a few pictures of cakes I liked and we just let her go from there. Our cake turned out beautifully! We had multi flavored layers. Our bottom layer was citrus(Orange, lemon, lime), middle layer was neopolitan and top was key lime coconut. Everyone raved about the cake and I know a lot of people swung by the shop a bought more desserts during their time in the island.Hometown Desserts's reply:

Kaitlin Sent on 05/29/2015Hometown Desserts has the best tasting cake I have ever tasted before! We called very last minute while we were in town on vacation, and we got a cake tasting the next day. Cindy was prepared for us and had her main flavors ready for us to taste. We asked about a raspberry filling and she whipped something up for us on the spot. We decided to get our cake with this company for many reasons! Cindy is very sweet and helpful, I totally recommend this bakery for anything and everything! The price is great for such amazing tasting cake too. Very Happy!

Amanda Sent on 04/04/2013I gave a 4.5 on Quality becuase half the cupcakes were supposed to be coral and not all aqua like I tried describing over the phone (they must have not double checked the paperwork of the original girl (not Cindy) who took our info down when we visited Hometown Desserts in person), but it doesn't really matter because we loved it anyway.

A huge thank you is in order! We adored our wedding cake! It was fun and beautiful, and most of all delicious! I loved the details. We are eating the cake topper now instead of waiting a year because it's so good! (Maybe we will save a small slice for the one-year). Our guests gobbled them up fast. So many guests said the cupcakes were yummy and "best wedding ever!" We can't wait to see it all again in Dara Caudill's pictures, and the video Stephen's dad shot. All of our vendors were superb and worked together wonderfully! We will never forget you and how much joy you helped bring to our special day! Keep up the hard work, friendliness, and professionalism! The Sandbar truly makes wedding dreams a reality! Now I'm sad it's over! :-) God bless all of you at Hometown Desserts! Thanks again!
