HIGHLY recommend!
Eric and Rob did my wedding photos back in February and I am extremely happy we had the opportunity to work with them. Our venue referred them to us so I was even more sure we were making a great choice having Holland Studios as our photographer. They did such an amazing job! Very quick to get the photos back to us, and they were so much fun to work with. They also got in some really creative shots- they really went above and beyond. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. -

We could not be more happy with the photography team we chose for our wedding day... seriously. Eric and Rob were the perfect amount of professional mixed with a laid back/low key vibe. It's something that was really important to us because 1. You're running around like a crazy person on your wedding day and 2. Most people don't have professional pictures taken of them everyday. Having photographers that make you feel comfortable and loose is super important. They were able to work with little direction and got shots of everything we wanted, they checked in with us throughout the evening and they were super flexible in accommodating inevitable changes to the schedule. And all this great stuff is before I actually get to the photos. The pictures... wow. We were lucky enough to shoot our first look up at a viewpoint with Mt Hood in the background and the pictures are beyond stunning. They captured the lighting and surroundings so beautifully and somehow made my husband and I look like models. It's going to be so hard to choose which pictures to frame! On top of that, Eric put together a slideshow and sent it to us less than a week after our wedding. We loved watching it (about 20 times) while on our honeymoon. I highly recommend Holland Studios, so worth every penny spent! -

LOVED them. Beautiful photos, professional, punctual; you name it, they had it! All we wanted was two photographers, enough time to shoot family pictures, wedding ceremony, details, and some reception pictures, and then all the photos on a DVD so we could print them ourselves. They were easy to work with and very knowledgeable. The price was as expected for an August weekend wedding with one of the best photographers in town. We were just so pleased with their work. We had a beautiful, joyous wedding, and the emotion really comes through in the pictures. My husband was so impressed with them, and he is one of the pickiest people I know! :-) Worth every penny. I highly recommend Holland Studios! -

Our daughters wedding was THE most amazing night ever. After reflecting on the day, we feel that the team we assembled to make their dream wedding vision come true was the best that Portland has to offer. We would not change one thing. Holland Studios is at the top of that list, because it was their job to capture all of it! The photos are stunning and will remind us of all the fun we had that day, all the tender moments we experienced and all the beauty we were surrounded by. Their professionalism and kind, fun demeanor added to the great time everyone had. They also did the engagement shoot and the rehearsal dinner. We saw proofs quickly, received our albums quickly and the quality of all were excellent. The hardest thing is choosing the shots for the albums because they are all SO good!

Eric and Tami at Holland Studios were absolutely fantastic. Eric drove up to Spokane for my wedding and hired a local photographer friend to be his second shooter. The pictures from my wedding were stunning - they captured all of the moments that I requested and so many more. Eric kept grabbing us during the wedding reception to take our photos in the specific light and I absolutely loved seeing the photos with the different lighting.
They made my husband and I extremely comfortable and they really knew how to make us smile and relaxed during the pictures.
The extremely wonderful thing about Holland Studios (beyond their photos which speak for themselves) is their fantastic communication. I was never stressed about our photographers when it came to the wedding - I knew they would be where they said they would, on time and ready to roll. They had our slideshow up so quickly - for both the engagements and wedding shoots.
I highly recommend them. Best decision I made for my wedding, well...besides the groom! -

We worked with Eric for our engagement photos and for our wedding. Roberta was also there for our wedding. Absolutely gorgeous pictures for both the engagement and wedding pictures. Definitely would recommend them to anyone. Will definitely be using them again for future photo sessions!! They were great and reviewed the engagement pictures with us in their studio so we could ask questions and make sure we got the best pictures on the website. I can not say enough about these guys! I have seen pictures from other friends weddings. They do not even compare to our pictures!! Eric is awesome to work with as well. He got what he needed quickly, while making everyone laugh. Super quick on getting a slide show set to music back to us after our wedding. -

We loved working with Eric and his entire team for our daughters July wedding. Eric did an excellent job capturing so many special and unique photos of our wedding. Many of the wedding party and guests commented on how quick he was with his photos. Eric had a way of making everyone comfortable and at ease during the entire process. His wife is also very helpful too. Would definitely recommend him to anyone looking for an excellent photographer for a special event -

Eric, Roberta, and Tami bent over backwards to make sure I got all the pictures we wanted at a price we could afford. They were so helpful before our big day & the day of they seemed more like good friends than vendors. We had so much fun with them! Eric also did our engagement pictures & really captured who we are as a couple and as individuals. We will continue to use Holland Studios for all our photography needs. We absolutely loved working with Eric and Holland Studios and whole-heartedly recommend them to anyone and everyone. I had always thought of photography as depicting a singular moment in time but Eric was able to capture the full emotions of the entire night in every single shot. His work was exactly what he wanted: for the posed shots he was quick, efficient, and organized and for the “in-the-moment” shots, he was a fly-on-the-wall, barely noticed but everywhere, documenting things we did not see or remember in the blur that was our wedding. We absolutely loved the slideshow he sent a mere two days after the wedding as well. We could not have picked a better photographer and working with Tami beforehand was a breeze.
Definitely choose Holland Studios for your wedding. -

I had Eric as my photographer, I have never had someone make me feel so calm and relaxed . Even with all the wedding day stress, he took the most amazing pictures . I exchanged emails for 6 plus months and tami was always there to answer questions and help me get the feeling and ideas to Eric so he has what my vision was . I would tell every single person I know getting married to use them , absolutely amazing !!

Holland Studios is on the pricey side. However, if your pictures are something that matter to you, then definitely do yourself a favor and go with Holland Studios! You will not have to worry about a thing! They are friendly and responsive in the weeks leading up to the event and you will have a blast working with them during! Eric and Regina (my photographers) were so much fun to work with! They had no problem getting natural smiles because we could not stop laughing! As for the pictures themselves...they're gorgeous. They are a blend of the traditional, with plenty of unique and artistic shots thrown in! I've had plenty of people tell me that they were happy with their wedding photographers...until they saw mine!
Additional tip--book them first. We did and Eric was a great help with suggestions for flowers, church and reception venues, cakes, colors, and themes. It was great to get tips about my wedding from someone working in the industry who, once we contracted with him for photos, had no real stake in my decisions. -

He was so non obtrusive during our reception and just grabbed us for quick photo ops when the moment/lighting was right. They emailed us a video link compilation the day after the wedding so we had an immediate chance to see some of the photos. Highly recommend. -

5s across the board. Roberta and Laura were great to work with. They were easy going, incredibly flexible, and very professional. Choosing Holland Studio and specifically Roberta and Laura was the smartest decision we made during the whole process. The wedding and engagment picutres were perfect, but what made the experience was how comfortable you felt with them the entire wedding.

Roberta and Laura were the shiny stars at our wedding!! I don't know what we would have done without them. We could not have asked for better photographers.
We were referred to them after a terrible experience at a prior photographer - Roberta not only gave us complimentary engagement photos - they turned out phenomenally!!
We absolutely adored the team at the wedding. The two worked absolute miracles after seeing just the teaser.
Please - I will rarely recommend a wedding vendor based on our experiences - but Roberta and Laura and Holland Studios are WONDERFUL!! -

Rob at Holland Studios was AMAZING!!!! We booked Holland Studios through our wedding site. We meet with him a couple of days in advance and discussed our family, the site, and what to expect. Our package only had one photographer include but Rob brought another photograph with him!! He was fast with the posing and family shots. Rob made me feel relaxed at all time, he got us snacks, a change of shoes, arranged the introduction. He was our wedding planner for the day. We had a great experience and amazing photos to remember the day. I would recommend him to any one looking for a creative, fun, and professional photographer. -

Establishing a relationship with Holland Studios was one of the best decisions that we made for our wedding planning. Really! We could not be more pleased with the professional, highly artistic, and dazzling photography that was taken. But, what really sets this studio off from others is their ability to personalize and create a memorable visual presentation of "our" lifetime commitment, including an engagement shoot, photo-based signature book, visuals of our wedding day/reception, and slideshows that were used to theme a second, "Just Married" reception. Holland Studios is also well connected and we used their referrals for completing our invitations, designing our bridal party flowers, and for our electronic visual services needs. We look forward to continuing our relationship as we design together a custom wedding album, create our "Got Hitched in 2012" Holiday cards, and produce the various artwork to display in our home. For us, Holland Studios was definitely the way to go.....

No words can describe how happy I am with my pictures! There is a reason Holland Studios is known to be THE BEST! Holland Studios is simply, the BEST at what they do! Eric was our photographer and he is beyond cool, chill, and able to capture amazing shots that will last forever! Eric is not like any other photographer, he has a gift, he is an artist, and is known for his "eye" and the ability to not only work with any kind of light, but capture light and it's elements.
As a fellow wedding professional in the NW, I know what to look for, I know what quality looks and feels like, and it just doesn't get any better than Holland Studios. -

Eric and Roberta were absolutely amazing! They did such a great job at our wedding. They were extremely quick and efficient. After the ceremony, we took pictures and we got through family, bridal party and just my husband and me in only 35 minutes! They picked amazing spots, poses, and perfect settings. The end results was absolutely gorgeous. I highly recommend them. Their style is perfect if you like simple, rustic, vintage, natural, romantic or classic photos. They captured all the right emotions of the day--I highly recommend them. -

Holland Studios is simply the best photography studio! If you are looking for talent and stress free photography than Holland Studios is your answer. We used them for our wedding and they were absolutely top notch. The photographers are so fun to work with and their eye for detail turns a photo into true art that we were a part of. They worked with our ideas of where to take some of the photos and they also supplied us with ideas. They know Portland and the surrounding area very well so they can give great artistic ideas. Don't hesitate to book them because their schedule fills fast. We worked our wedding day around their availability because we wanted the best for our photos. Holland Studios did my wedding pictures and I could not be happier with the results. The owner, Eric has an amazing ability to quickly take numerous pictures and make you feel at ease in front of the camera. I am the type of person who has shyed away from pictures my entire life and within minutes of being in front of Eric, I was relaxed, smiling, happy, and confident that he was capturing my husband and I in the best possible way.
He did the perfect blend of posed pictures and what he calls "documentary style" pictures. He also has a method of doing family pictures that makes it quick and painless.
Eric put together a slideshow of the wedding within a day or two after the festivities and it really captured the feel of the day. Friends who were unable to make the wedding who saw the slideshow said it brought them to tears and they felt like they were there.
I can't really convey how amazing Eric is when he is taking pictures. To have someone be able to relax the subjects so easily but at the same time be taking so many pictures and have them turn out beautifully is quite a feat.
Our second photographer was Roberta and she was extremely calm and warm. I wanted two photographers to capture the "getting ready" pictures as well as each of our faces in the "first look" and was very pleased with Roberta.
We initially went with another photographer in the Portland area to do our engagement pictures and were less than thilled with the results. He was very nice but the pictures just weren't great. I am so thankful we decided to change photographers and went with Holland Studios because they gave us amazing pictures that will last a lifetime.

We had an out of country wedding (PVR) and we could not have had a better experience and wedding pictures from Laurin our photographer from Holland Studios. We had a large group and he not only captured our day (but 3 days) and made everyone feel very comfortable doing so. -

Holland Studios was the most impressive vendor I worked with throughout the entire wedding process. They were on time, easy to get ahold of, trustworthy and very friendly to everyone they encountered. Not only were our wedding pictures incredible, but as a bride who was concerned our photographers missing bug moments, I can assure you they didn't miss a single detail of our wedding.
Over five of my friends who are getting married next summer (summer of 2010) are planning on using Holland Studios due to the photos and slideshow they saw from our wedding. The most common comments we heard were that "every picture they took looked like it came out of a magazine". Out of 1200 pictures, my husband and I have over 900 we want to order, all of which look very different. They are worth every penny they charge.
I did a lot of research on photographers and will repeatedly recommend the folks at Holland Studios. They are by far the best wedding photographers in Oregon.

I had such a great overall experience with Holland Studios! I was an out-of-town Bride and was only able to meet with them a couple times, but after the first meeting I was at ease and had complete confidence in them as my photographer. They were very flexible with me, discussed what I wanted and came through with a package that fit my wants and budget.
The day of the wedding, the photographers were very professional and their experience was undeniable. They were so good at making the wedding party and family feel at ease, cueing us and making us laugh. My nerves were gone as soon as we started pictures. They were so good at moving things along and we stayed on time. By the end of the night I was so excited to see what they had captured, and by the next day they had published our slideshow. The pictures are beautiful and everyone who has viewed them is impressed. I could not have asked for more!

As soon as I met with the Holland Studios team, it was obvious that they were perfect for us. During the engagement shoot both my husband and I were laughing so hard together and Eric really made us feel comfortable and got wonderful shoots. We were introduced to Holland Studios at the 2016 Portland Wedding Expo and it turned out to be very lucky for us. We had been searching for a good photographer for a while and Eric turned out to be everything we were looking for. We first arranged a shoot for engagement photos and Eric was waiting for us when we arrived. The session was great, our first real photo shoot together, and Eric was able to make us feel celebrated right away without sentimentalizing the moment. This professionalism carried through into our wedding where it seemed like he knew exactly where to be and when. He unobtrusively documented the day, stepping in to take pictures when needed without being timid or too abrupt.
I'd say that the best thing about working with Eric was the direction he provided during photo-sessions. He's confident, charismatic, and seems like a seasoned pro that genuinely enjoys his work, but keeps it pleasantly business-like. We'd warmly recommend him to anyone looking to work with a photographer who's as much about quality photos as about how he makes you feel. -

Holland Studios was the best I have ever worked with. When we wanted our dog in our engagement photos and he had a bad haircut, they allowed us to do a mini second photo shoot at no extra cost.
During the wedding they captured every moment and crazy enough, i forgot they were there till I saw Eric later in the night taking a quick break.
The pictures are stunning. They get REALLY busy in the summer (another sign of how much there services are wanted) and sometimes it can be a little slow getting responses or your pictures back.Truly a fantastic company and I just love every single person that worked there. -

I LOVE Holland Studios! Roberta was our photographer and she did an amazing job, not to mention she was SO nice and helpful even after the wedding. I loved working with Bryce at Holland Studios. Everyone was so flexible and willing to work with us in our budget to get exactly what we want. The pictures were absolutely fantastic, however there were a few things I thought needed to be improved. I had one of the less experienced photographers and she did not take the time to scout out places for photos, which left us very short for time. She also didn't follow the timeline that had been laid out and therefore my entire family (40+) ended up being called to where I was for photos, despite the fact that they weren't supposed to see me until the ceremony.
They also didn't take notes upon our first meeting and all of our choices were lost. Because we do not live in the area we weren't able to come back to redo our album decisions and we ended up with an album type we did not want.
As I said, the pictures were fantastic but working with them was difficult. -

The experience we had was quite pleasant. The photography was a gift from my mom, so I don't know about cost or flexibility. I do believe it was booked the Wednesday before the event, so, I think flexibility was good.
