Excellent job from start to finish.
My Sons wedding and reception was at the Janesville Conference Center at Holiday Inn Express. I could not have been any happier. Horrible experience drunk staff, stolen items, room issues! Lies!
If you plan to have your wedding/event here, DON'T. My Dad and Step Mom had their wedding there this past weekend. They had gone in 4 times prior to this weekend to figure out the room situation because the hotel shut down their hotel block a month early, their were people that booked in our block that didn't even know us and my Dad was supposed to have a suite and they kept saying they would figure it out, and the coordinator even came in said "we got it figured out you will be in this room, it is being cleaned now" and then the other girl comes in and tells my Step Mom (the bride) there is no suite and blames her..and when my step mom says just go I don't want to talk to you about this the girl proceeded to get shitty with her. There was absolutley no help in set up, they tried charging them for rooms that they were told would be complimentary, they walked up to the Bride on the wedding night handing her a bill for another $1400 over and above the $10,000 they already paid..the coordinator along with her brother (who was a bar tender) and the other bar tender were all drunk, the bartenders were not dressed appropriately for a wedding. They had food and totes of our locked up and nobody could find it. They said they would have all the centerpieces and what not packed up for us to just load on Sunday and they had done nothing, there were still food plates with food on them on the head table Sunday morning, garbage everywhere. It is as if there was no staff at the event at all. it was a shitshow from day 1 and everyone there wanted to blame everyone but themselves. Horrible experience adding WAY more stress to an already stressful day. The whole point of a coordinator and hiring on a place like this is to have less stress. If you plan to use them I strongly suggest not to and if you still do GET EVERYTHING IN WRITING & VERIFY EVERYTHING! I have never seen a place be so disorganized and unprofessional. Coordinator was late multiple times, things were not locked up so a radio, debit card and check book were stolen and everyone was lied to consistently. I was excited to host our wedding at this location and was extremely disappointed. During the year and a half working with them they had constant turnover for the conference center coordinating department. Staff was rude and caused unneeded stress days before the wedding. When setting block of rooms I also book myself a room and was told I didn’t have one while checking in. Management was terrible to deal with and extremely ignorant when asking simple questions. Please please do not set your event with them I promise you if we could have changed our venue we would have!I was excited to host our wedding at this location and was extremely disappointed.
