Rev Michael is the most professional and thoughtful officiant I could have hoped for on my wedding day. He took charge and helped make our ceremony meaningful. He spent time to make sure our wedding parties knew where they needed to be and the do's & don'ts to have a smooth ceremony. September 2025 Wedding
We truly can’t recommend Michael Vargas enough—he was such an important and unforgettable part of our wedding day! From the very beginning, he brought a sense of calm, professionalism, and genuine care that made the entire process so much easier for us.
One of the biggest compliments we received from our guests was how beautiful, personal, and meaningful the ceremony was, and that is entirely thanks to Michael. He took the time to understand us as a couple and delivered a ceremony that felt authentic, heartfelt, and perfectly “us.” It set the tone for the entire day in the best possible way.
Even on short notice, Michael stepped in and absolutely nailed every detail. His flexibility and willingness to go above and beyond did not go unnoticed. Having him at the rehearsal was also incredibly helpful—he guided everyone with confidence and clarity, which made a huge difference in how smoothly everything flowed on the wedding day.
With such a large wedding party to coordinate, things could have easily become overwhelming, but Michael handled it all seamlessly. He kept everyone organized, on time, and at ease, all while maintaining a warm and positive energy. It gave us so much peace of mind knowing we were in such good hands.
Looking back, we feel so grateful to have had Michael officiate our wedding in September 2025. He played a huge role in making our ceremony so special and memorable—not just for us, but for all of our guests as well. We had a wonderful experience with Rev. Michael on our March 14, 2026 wedding. He was professional, organized, and incredibly easy to work with from start to finish. Communication was smooth, and he made the entire planning process feel simple and stress-free.
What really stood out was his flexibility. We had a last-minute location change, and he handled it without any issues, which meant so much to us. He also took the time beforehand to clearly go over expectations, so we felt fully prepared and there were no surprises on the day of the ceremony.
On top of everything, he had such a warm and friendly attitude that made the experience even more special. We would highly recommend him to anyone and would absolutely work with him again.

So, I did an online search and reached out to a few people. Rev Michael responded and took the time to explain the whole process to me. This is my first times getting married and I really wanted to keep this simple and sweet. I explained what I was looking to do and he was very informative and walked me through everything. We exchanged over a dozen text messages and in between my text with him I had 3 others respond back to me and they were nowhere as informative and as Nice as Michael. So I went with Michael and not only did he show up on time he was very professional and just such a nice, sweet person. He is definitely the Guy you want on that special day he is just pleasant and professional all the way around.

Just wonderful!
Michael helped us plan and execute the wedding of our dreams. We worked together to create a ceremony that combined two different backgrounds seamlessly into one story. New Years Day Elopement
Michael was the perfect choice for our elopement. My husband and I decided to have a private elopement on New Years Day, and Michael was more than happy to accommodate our requests on a holiday, and hiked our with us to our favorite oak tree in the local nature preserve in the cold! My son is in A school at Great Lakes. After boot camp he and his fiancé (his 7 year girlfriend) decided to go ahead and get married. They wanted to do elopement style but with both sets of parents there. We live in South Carolina and didn’t know where to start. Rev Michael was extremely quick with all responses, helpful, courteous, and all around wonderful to work with. We were kind of lost but he was always willing and able to point us in the right direction. If you are looking to make your day (or your child’s day) special, I highly recommend Rev Michael. It was maybe a month and a half between first contact and “I do” and I am thankful to have had him as the one to pronounce them husband and wife.

Reverend Michael V told us during our first consultation that he specialized in adjusting to the couples he worked with. He went above and beyond that. Short and sweet
Rev. Michael was great. It was a strange thing inviting a stranger into our home to do our wedding ceremony, but I'm so glad I went with Rev. Michael. He never once was awkward and we felt like we knew him from the minute he got there. It was short and sweet and he took care of all the details of the ceremony and wedding license afterward. Sweet elopement style ceremony
Rev. Michael made our small elopement style ceremony a simple and comfortable experience. He is very responsive and walked us through every step of the ceremony, providing personalized options/wordings that worked for us. The planning portion of the ceremony was simple and efficient, given we were on a shorter time frame. Rev. Michael worded the different parts of the ceremony nicely. He did a wonderful job ensuring that my 9 year old daughter was appropriately included in the ceremony experience, as well. He even worked with us to include a last-minute request. I was worried that with an 11-person wedding event, there may be moments of awkwardness, but Rev. Michael made sure of a nice flow of the ceremony. He even trudged through wet grass to get to our ideal ceremony location in a forest preserve! Rev. Michael is kind and professional and I would recommend his officiant services any day!

Rev Michael is the best officant! After our ceremony I had many family members and friends coming up to me and saying how beautiful the ceremony was and big part was because of Rev Michael. Rev Michael made the day of so easy and smooth. We have the rehearsal the day prior. I had a big wedding party , Rev Michael made it very easy for all of us to be ready for the day of. An Amazing Day!
Michael was super patient and helpful with everything! We were not as organized as we could have been. We had originally planned to get married summer of 2021 but decided last minute to get married at the end of 2020, since it had been such a crazy year. We started off strong then pandemic craziness. We wanted to end 2020 strong as well. And Michael was a huge part of making that happen! He was wonderful at accommodating our wish to include a traditional Celtic handfasting as part of our ceremony. He did a beautiful job at weaving both traditional vows and non traditional vows together to make it seamless and everything we wanted. We can’t thank him enough. And will definitely be inviting him to celebrate a re commitment ceremony later this summer so all of our friends and family can be apart of it.

Michael is amazing
I had originally hired Michael to be the officiant for my wedding in November. Shortly after signing the contract and paying the deposit, COVID-19 amped up in the US and Illinois went on lockdown. We waited until June to see what would happen but with so many unknowns and no clear signs of the virus subsiding, we made the decision to cancel our wedding and Elope. When I contacted Michael again I was upset and initially told him I just wanted to cancel outright, but Michael was very patient and understanding and helped me find my footing so to speak. He informed me that due to the Virus, the courthouse was closed so we couldn’t even get married without him. He was kind enough to refund part of my deposit ($100) as an elopement ceremony was only $60. We talked a few times on the phone and figured out a location and time for an elopement with just him, my husband and I. Neither of us are religious and He was able to accommodate a non-denominational ceremony. Michael was timely, spoke clearly and enthusiastically during the ceremony. He was very kind and sweet, and seemed genuinely happy to see us wed. I will absolutely recommend him to anyone in need of an officiant. We wouldn’t have wanted anyone else. Thank you!

We met Michael at a Thunderhawk Open House when we were deciding if we wanted to use Thunderhawk as a venue. He was so friendly and really easy to talk to. He answered all of our questions upfront and we knew right away he was an officiant we wanted to work with. He worked closely with us on our ceremony speech and made sure it was exactly what we were looking for. Fast forward to rehearsal - he was really thorough and made sure we had everything in place. Rev Michael was amazing
Rev. Michael was amazing. He made everything so simple and smooth. He gave us many options to pick from on how the ceremony worked best for us and let us truly make it our own. He listened to our concerns to make us feel comfortable. He responded right away no matter how many times we had a question. I sent our final decisions 10:00 the night before and he had it ready and perfect for the next day. He was very professional and walked us through how the ceremony would go even though we didn’t have a rehearsal. The ceremony was beautiful he followed the vows exactly as we wanted. I also loved that he took pictures and posted them on his Facebook page quickly. Those were the first pictures I got to see so it was super cool. I highly recommend Rev Michael!

Madeline & Tim’s Wedding Ceremony
Rev. Michael was great! He helped us planning time and location and even took some pictures of us after he performed the ceremony! It was very economical and we would highly recommend Rev. Michael for there special day!

Rev Michael was amazing!!!
I cannot express how lovely it was working with Rev Michael. He made my groom and I feel comfortable and so excited for our wedding from the moment of our initial consultation.
He worked closely with us to really personalize our wedding, and was so prompt in answering any questions I had. He ran our rehearsal perfectly, and was just an amazing officiant during our ceremony. My groom and I somehow managed to mess up about 5 times during our ceremony, and Rev Michael was great at just letting everyone laugh and then moved things alone so smoothly.
He was truly a joy to work with and I'm so glad he was there on our big day!

Best officiant ever!!!
From the moment we met with Michael we felt so comfortable and knew that this was the man we wanted to marry us! He made sure our ceremony showed who we are as a couple, and made everything so special. At the rehearsal he had a way of being fun, but also making sure we got through everything we needed to get through! On the wedding day he made sure we were happy, calm, and that our love was clear to everyone in the room (even through our beautiful niece’s tears😂)!!!

Michael was awesome! We had a blended family ceremony, and he guided us through options and each step. He made the process and day so special. We literally couldn’t have done it without him, and I’m so grateful he was available to help.

Highly Recommend!
Would highly recommend to anyone! Rev. Michael made us feel comfortable and was very accommodating! He was also always so easy to get ahold of whether it was email or phone. He always responded very quickly. He was very organized and we didn't have to worry about anything.

Hitched by the best
We had an amazing ceremony. Michael helped us make our vows more than what we could imagine. We weren't sure what we wanted at the start but he provided guidance that led us to a place where we felt so connected and he delivered our ceremony in such a way that our guests thought he had known us forever. Truly impressive.

Amazing experience!
We were referred to Rev. Michael Vargas through our wedding venue coordinator and we had an incredible experience with him. He was extremely professional, personable, responsive, accommodating, and very collaborative with my husband and I through the whole process. He let us have full creative-control in our ceremony script but also helped us when we needed suggestions/direction. I don't have any negative feedback, I would absolutely recommend Rev. Mike Vargas to officiate your wedding. He helped make our wedding day stress-free and extra special!

Wedding ceremony in both Spanish and English for our guest

We found Reverend Michael on short notice after the officiant we had originally hired did not work out. Rev. Michael was amazing and answered all our questions in a very timely matter through text , email and phone conversations . This was very reassuring to us after all the problems we had encountered with our previous officiant. He customized out wedding to our exact needs. He even wore a Hawaiian shirt ( we had a Hawaiian themed wedding ) We were so blessed to have found him and are very grateful for everything he did for us. We would highly recommend him !

Rev. Michael was nothing short of AMAZING!!!! Our entire wedding couldn’t have agreed more, they praised how amazing he was!! He gave us complete creative control of our ceremony, helping us along the entire way! I knew he was there for us, always emailing back right away, and answering every question. He thought of everything!!! Made sure our day was extremely special, and took charge to make sure everyone knew their place on our big day! We rented our flowers, and needed them back. We realized that we had forgotten to take back Rev. Michaels before he left. To our surprise, he left it waiting for us at our hotel lobby!! Highly recommended!!!! One of the best parts of our wedding!!! Thank you!!!

He was so easy to communicate with, very responsive, and extremely professional. He was a confident presence on a hectic day and worked wonders for an anxious bride. Rev. Micheal was very helpful throughout the entire process. He replied to all my emails very quickly even if it was a weekend. His hours are very flexible when you need to set up a meeting. He also provides a script for you with many, many different options to choose from for each section of the ceremony. We could even customize it if we wanted. We we very happy that we went with Rev. Michael to officiate our wedding and I would highly recommend using Hitched by MV's services!
