I had to scramble to find a substitute at the last minute for a Photobooth and this was the first company that I contacted and the last! The deal, professionalism and ease working with them was great. Very organized and worked seamlessly with our venue. Even had a surprise album of photos of our guests that they had them sign! Couldn’t have been happier! -

Their job was too wonderful!! Their photo album made me sooo happy!!!
They responded fast when I reach them, and it was very smooth to make a contract with them too.
On the day, the workers were so nice and friendly!
They have a lot of props, so you don't need to prepare them.
What I love the most was they made an album for us! Our guests took photos and the worker printed them and put them inside the album. At the end of the wedding day, you will receive that album! You can look so many people had fun.
You can choose the Media Type (Photo, GIF, or Boomerangs).
The format Template is Landscape or Square.
Especially I loved that you can choose your name design from 36 templates! You can upload your own design too. (I am not sure if it's an extra fee or not.)
Also for overlay design, you can choose any colour you want.
I chose the Gold Shimmer backdrop, and I loved it! Perfect colour and very good on your wedding dress.
I am not sure if you choose the black one, because some guess will come in black dresses and black suits.

Our photo booth was a hit at our wedding. The quality of the photos was great and the attendants made everything so easy. They delivered the link to the online gallery the next day and even split the photos into single photos instead of just providing the 4x4. One thing I will mention that I didn’t know prior to booking is that Hipstr contracts other photo booth companies so we had an entirely different photo booth company show up, and they weren’t given much info about our event. Even so, they killed it and we had a great time. -

We hired Hipstr to do the photo booth at our wedding. They brought all of their own equipment, set up promptly and efficiently, and our guests had a blast taking photos! We really enjoyed being able to design our own photo strip. I would recommend them! -

We knew we wanted to do a photo booth and at the recommendation of a friend who used Hipstr previously, we decided to inquire about their services. Everything was straight forward and the options you have to craft a photo booth experience unique to you and your guests is fantastic. We loved being able to add our monogram to the layout of the photos and access to the online gallery was immediate and super easy. I would highly recommend them to friends and if we have another event requiring booth servicing, we'll be using them again! -

We booked Hipstr Photo Booth early on in our wedding planning process and they didn't require much work beyond that- they showed up and did an amazing job which I cannot thank them enough for! Things we loved about Hipstr:
-The package was all-inclusive.
-There were no extra hidden fees.
-They easily let us customize when we wanted to provide our own backdrop and photo props.
-They helped us trouble shoot when we were having difficulties designing our logo to go with our wedding theme for the printed photos.
-The photo booth attendant was friendly and punctual day-of
-The beautiful scrapbook was handed to us complete at the end of the night. (Again, no extra work on our end!)
-The guests got unlimited prints- so no need to decide amongst a large group who gets one of the three photos.
-They got us the digital copies of the photos in a timely fashion after the wedding to share with the guests.
Our wedding planning process was a bit tumultuous due to extenuating circumstances, so to have one vendor who just showed up and did what they promised without adding surprise fees, rebranding, cancelling, changing the contract, etc. was so amazing. Can't recommend them enough for one stop shopping for a photo booth for your wedding! Thanks for being perhaps the most stress-free part of our wedding weekend Hipstr Photo Booth! -

Hipstr was a great addition to our event. Our guests loved having our picture taken and all the props they could use. It was a hit for sure. We loved getting a copy of every photo and we got a nice album to take with us the same night. Great job! -

It seems like all of our guests loved the photobooth, it was a HUGE hit and the pictures are great! We received a photo album that guest helped put together that night with their photos with some messages. We love having the memories of our guests enjoying themselves on our night. The one small thing that I didn't love was that our host started the booth 40 minutes earlier than we had discussed (so at the beginning of our cocktail hour, rather than towards the end). It didn't really affect anything, but since our reception went until after midnight, we wanted the photobooth to remain open closer to the end of the reception than it was. -

We loved the services from the moment that I had booked their services to our actual event. The admin team is very responsive and answered all of my questions. Our guests had a great time with the photobooth and I’m so thankful that our photobooth specialist, Sean/Shawn kept recommending our guests to not only take photos but also do gifs and sign the photo album he had put together for us. We really appreciate the nice photo album that we got to take home and being able to see the gallery right away. No complaints whatsoever. I highly recommend this business and will definitely use them again to all future events. Thank you Hipstr Photobooth! -

This is THE Photo Booth company to hire. The amount of props is amazing, they even made a photo album with our guests photos and notes that they wrote to us, that was such an awesome surprise!!! Our guests loved it and all of them used it! They let you print out the photos and let you download all the pics for free. I'm so happy we hired them! Our wedding was in LA and they luckily work out there too :) They are super professional, the attendant was awesome!!! -

One of Best Decisions We Made!
We saw Hipstr Photobooth at a wedding expo that I was hesitant to go to, and it was fate because we found this gem! Hiring Hipstr was the easiest decision we made throughout the wedding process. They were extremely responsive, organized, easy to work with, communicative, and the value for what we got in return was amazing. Not only did all of our photos come out awesome, but they projected the photos in real time at our venue, provided unlimited printouts and digital versions, fun photobooth props, backdrops, helped us create our own unique look for the photo strips themselves with logos, etc., and best of all--gave us an amazing album/guest book to take away with us directly after the wedding.
Since our wedding, we've recommended them to everyone we know and we had two friends hire them for their own weddings and love them. Hipstr will be an awesome addition to your wedding day and we highly recommend them!! -

Everyone at the wedding 11/11/18 commented about how wonderful the photobooth was. The photos came out great. Everyone had a fun time with it. Quick set up, set up really early, handled everything with the venue and didnt come and ask for any support.
The tech who was working the booth was super friendly and helpful. Always hyping people up and being really friendly.
The photobook at the end was a super great touch. I absolutely love everything from this photobooth company, couldnt have been a better vendor.
Enthusiastically recommend! No need to look anywhere else! Seriously Reasonable prices for what you get. Pure professionalism. 11/10 would recommend!!!!! -

We first encountered Hipstr at a friend's wedding. We had such a blast we knew we needed it for ours! The booking process was super simple, and with one package you get everything you need! They work with you to design your custom logo for your pictures and you have several backgrounds to choose from, as well as a ton of props on the day of the event. Every single person who was in the picture also gets a copy, you're not limited to only 2 copies like with other booths. Our guests really enjoyed it and we not only got a scrapbook of all the pictures with messages from our guests, but online access to the entire gallery from our wedding! The attendant was super nice and helpful as well. Highly recommend their open air booth! -

Nicolette Sent on 11/06/2017Booking a Photobooth was one of the last decisions my husband and I made while wedding planning -- and let me tell you, I am SOOO glad we did! The Photobooth was not empty even for a second from the start of the reception until the very end. Hipstr provided some of the best props I've seen with any other photobooth -- and by the looks of things, our guests felt the same! We have looked at our photos almost every day since the wedding and have not stopped laughing. In addition to sending over the full gallery within days of our wedding, It was also a huge plus that they had a projection screen set up displaying all of the photos in real time as our reception was going on -- so even the guests who chose not to join in on the photobooth still got entertainment out of it! We will definitely use Hipstr again for any future parties or events! -

Amy Sent on 10/27/2017We booked Hipstr simply because we fell in love with their attendant, Dan, at a wedding show we went to. As it turned out, Dan was the same attendant at our wedding. All of our guests adored him!!! He really is the best! Hisptr was great to work with. All of my emails and questions were answered rapidly and courteously.
Unfortunately, there was a little mix up. I had changed our backdrop and logo about a month and a half prior to the wedding. This change was confirmed. However, the night of, it was the original backdrop and logo rather than the updated one. Honestly, none of our guests knew it, so not really that big of a deal. I did send an email the next day to Hipstr Admin to let them know about it, and also to tell them how much we all loved Dan! I could not be more pleased with Hipstr's speedy response, as well as their willingness to take responsibility AND action. Their quoted response: "what transpired with the artwork is completely unacceptable and for that we are incredibly sorry. You selected a specific style that spoke to you and we were unable to provide it on your special day. Although we can never take back this mistake, we want to do two things". Hipstr then gave us a partial refund as well as sent us all new prints with the correct logo. Although the backdrop could not be changed after the fact, I feel that Hipstr went above and beyond to try and correct this mistake to the best of their ability. We would totally recommend Hipstr (and Dan)!!

I was obsessed with telling everyone about Hipstr Photo Booth after I booked them. What's not to love? You get a digital copy of every shot, everyone gets their own copies emailed to them, and Instagram pictures will print out. At our wedding I was even more impressed. All of the pictures look amazing - the quality of the picture and the lighting was really top notch. I emailed pictures of my husband and I as children, and Hipstr incorporated them into the projected slideshow of pictures. Everyone raved about them, and many people came and told me personally that the attendant, Eric, was such a great host. -

From both a guest perspective and a bride's perspective, I can only say wonderful things about this company. We were able to design our own photo strips and customize the background of the booth on their website, which was very simple to use. On the day of our wedding, the booth was set up early, ready to go as soon as guests entered the room. There were a variety of fun props and the prints were good quality. The booth was a HUGE hit with our guests, and the attendant was great at managing the flow of people, with a friendly attitude. Since our wedding, several guests have spoken to us about how much fun they had with the photobooth. Thanks for the entertainment! -

From day one, I have had nothing but quick, helpful, and professional responses!! They were able to create a design for our 4x6 prints from just a picture I sent to them! I absolutely love them!!! They had to send me the scrapbook album but I received it 3 days after the wedding, so no biggie!! All of the pictures makes me smile! Love, love, love! So worth every penny!!!! They even stayed a little longer after the venue tried to kick them out because I wanted a few family group shots!! I would definitely recommend them to every couple looking for a photobooth company!!! We have been to dozens of weddings and are never impressed by any of them! Hipstr is the way to go!! I'm glad I was able to work my magic because Hipstr Photo Booth was a major hit. They are on time and they'll stay as long as you need them. So much features are included in the price. Major plus was that it worked double as a favor. It came with a beautiful scrapbook that we were able to take on our honeymoon the next day. I absolutely loved it and so did my guests. So yes. I would highly recommend them -

We found Hipstr in an online search when we first got engaged, and loved all the cool features they offered. We also wanted an enclosed photobooth as far as having a curtain and they offered that. Unfortunately the pandemic hit and we had to change our plans - my husband and I still got married on our original date, but moved our reception to a year later. Hipstr was super understanding and easy about changing the date, which we really appreciated. Our guests had an awesome time with the photobooth at our reception a few weeks ago, and I’m so glad we decided to include one in our day. Weddings are such a whirlwind, and my husband and I liked looking at all the photos in the book that Hipstr gave us at the end of the night. I feel like we got to see a lot of fun things later that we didn’t get to see during the night. Our two Hipstr hosts were also super fun and helpful! Definitely would recommend Hipstr for any wedding or other event - thank you! -

We had our wedding on Feb. 27, 2021 in Florida and Hipstr was a great photo booth vendor for our special day. It was very easy to fill out the needed forms online and you can even customize your logo/design for your printed and digital photos. Their customer service team was also very responsive throughout the wedding planning process and worked great with my wedding planners. The only reason I'm not giving this 5-stars is because our attendant the night of was a bit uptight and short with our guests. Other than that it was a good experience! -

Easy to work with!
Hipstr’s photobooth was a great addition to our reception! They included so many add ons for our special day! We got an entire photo album of everyone that took photos during the reception, uncluding digital access to every picture and boomerang taken! They had sooooo many props! They were amazing!!! -

Hipstr was on time, had great props, took quality photos, and provided us with a book of the printed photo copies at the end of the night. Overall I would totally recommend them to anyone!
The only thing I'd say needs improving is their operations team (They help you set up your photo template/logo). They were unresponsive and were not always knowledgable about their template logo dimensions. If you don't mind having a little patience to set up your photo template then this will be a great vendor to work with. -

Wrong Year printed
They were quick to respond while booking but are taking their time to respond to fix the huge mistake they made. They put the wrong year on all the prints. I understand mistakes happen but be professional and try to fix it. Very discouraging as this was for my wedding and now all of the guests favors are dated for 2019. I also never received the photo album as PROMISED AND I paid for it. I will be contacting the BBB if they continue to ignore me. -

Was very unimpressed with the service that was provided. We paid extra for complete package with video etc and it felt like none of it was worth it. There was no point to the print from social media; don't think anyone used it. Don't think anyone used the video as well. It seemed the technician that was sent really struggled to understand how to capture the most number of people in the shot and did not do a good job of keeping an extra photo from each in our provided album or informing our guests how to use all of the services we had paid for. Overall, sorely disappointed in the service that was provided. -

Welp, I received my wedding photos. I've never regretted more choosing Hipstr over a traditional photographer.
I'm so sad to write this review. Posting for future growth by the company, so other brides don't sit here like me, wondering if I should have been a jerk and not given them the benefit of the doubt at every turn.
- We booked Hipstr for our wedding a year ahead of time. We heard great things about the photo booth experience, and were stoked! Upon discovering the additional services, we looked through the photos they posted on their site, thought they were pretty good, and we struggled to see why other photographers charged so much comparatively. The price was fair, we thought, for what the photos were. So we booked.
- We were hoping to chat with our photographer for 20 minutes or so to help them get a sense of who we are and what we like - you know, like people do. There was an e-mail questionnaire, we filled it out and sent it back immediately. No one apparently got it, because they followed up about us not doing it. I have an e-mail chain where they're like "do the questionnaire" and I'm like "I did, did you receive?", and they respond with "Oh, yeah. It's here. Uh, cool."
- Two weeks prior to the wedding, I started to sweat about the photographer. I had done all the prep for the day, and was being asked by my day-of coordinator for the photog's info. I e-mailed the company, called the company, got nothing. My day-of coordinator helped, and finally got them to talk to us just a few days before the event.
- We had items we didn't know how to handle, and needed to speak to someone about them (like, How do we balance "getting ready" photos? Are you sending one person to each location or do we need to adjust our schedule?).
- We finally spoke to our photographer days before the event. She called us while she was driving, and her phone cut out a number of times, making us have to redial the number to reach her. We could barely get a word in. She kept going on about what "her brides" like. This is what we were worried about - we're not traditional folks. For example, we really hate "cutesy" photos that people LOVE to throw on Instagram. We like down-to-earth shots, candid shots - and most importantly, we noted, we would like to set aside time to get a shot with each individual member of our wedding party. I made mention that we know we only have 500 shots in our package. I would really like to focus on: little moments that go unseen, candid shots of the people we love. I don't want to see 20% of our shots come back as pictures of the table decor. We didn't think these requests were too much. We simply told her what tone we liked to set.
- After ending the call, there was still some hesitation because we knew she didn't write anything down (she was driving), and she seemed pretty headstrong about her point of view, treating me like I was some neurotic bride just stressed about the big day. I have to promise you, I wasn't... I asked the coordinator if this was normal, and she confirmed it wasn't.
- Day of the wedding. We don't know if/when our photog is going to show up. But she does! She comes up to where I'm finishing my makeup (apparently the "getting ready" photos were out the window at that point), and starts badgering me about what to do. 1 - That's what the phone call was for. 2 - Why are you asking me 100 questions when you know I have a coordinator you can check in with? 3 - You're ruining the last calm moment I have before the insanity starts. But ok, sure, I think, Golden Rule, treat others kindly. So I kindly ask her to check in with our coordinator, and we'll have a great day together!
- Well, my hesitation after the phone call was justified. Our photographer hit every "cutesy" photo in the book. Foreheads together, spin her around... ugh. We didn't want to make a big huff, but we did remind her that we really don't like these kinds of photos. Instead of listening, she fought us every step of the way - "No, they'll be cute, do it again, it's so good...".
- Now, 5 weeks later, we finally get our photos (which the coordinator and I both had to ask them to provide). 10+ pics of our dessert table. 20+ pics of me fiddling with my shoes. 0 individual pics of our party (we took them), which were so important to us. Family members missed.
Our wedding really was a wonderful night. Yet, looking back at the photos, it's clear we didn't get our money's worth. Our coordinator works with Hipstr a lot, and said she probably won't recommend them anymore based on this experience. The pics aren't the worst - but now I get why good photography is so expensive. Even at this price point, I want a partial refund. Or at least the photos we took that she knew I wanted her to include. I really don't want to look any more at the 13 photos of our table numbers. Sigh. -

Sonya Sent on 08/14/2025Do Not Book with Hipstr — We Were Left Without a Vendor and No Refund
We booked Hipstr for a photo booth at our daughter’s wedding on July 13, 2025, and paid in full back in January. Unfortunately, on July 1st—just two weeks before the wedding—we were informed that they still had not assigned a photographer. This, coupled with several alarming emails stating they were “going out of business” and an influx of negative reviews, caused serious concern.
After speaking directly with a company representative Joe, and receiving written confirmation that we could cancel and would be refunded within 2–4 weeks, we agreed to cancel. We also recorded the call with their permission.
As of today, we have not received the refund, well beyond the promised timeline. We’ve attempted to resolve the matter privately and have now filed a dispute with our bank. We are extremely disappointed and cannot recommend this company. -

Scam artist, fraudulent company! Stay away! Do not book hipstr
Hipstr is a fraud and SCAM company. They do not pay their invoice to the vendors that bring the equipment out. Michael McIntosh, Robert R. Dextradeur are completely fraudulent. They have scammed customers and vendors. They use ghost offices through out the U.S. (ex. NY, FL, IL, OH and “call center” agents for their booking services through only a call center type number. Only email contact. “IF” you get a response. They’ll book your wedding/prom send off, etc. with a flip of a coin that you may or most definitely WILL NOT receive your goods you paid for more than likely. Hipstr scam artist are creating these Google pages in states they haven’t scammed yet. I’ve been leaving warning reviews since last year May. Somehow Hipstr degenerates keep getting the reviews removed. GOOGLE NEEDS TO STOP ALLOWING THEM TO KEEP SCAMMING FOLKS. DON’T REMOVE ANY REVIEWS, THEY’RE ALL TRUE.
The most recent reviewers aren’t the only one and she isn’t lying! None of the 1 star reviews are. Stop booking them! They are scamming folks out of their hard earned money. I’m a vendor and have not been paid from a year ago. I’ve been leaving reviews to spread the awareness on theknot.com, google and many other platforms. We had a deeply disappointing experience with Hipstr. Communication was nonexistent. About a month before our wedding, an ex-employee whistleblower sent a mass email to all upcoming events warning of internal company issues (such as no on-site printing as promised, not paying employees, couples not receiving their photo albums after the event – to name a few) and Hipstr responded with a generic statement claiming it was a “cyber security attack,” but showed no real accountability or action. The ex-employee and the company went back and forth sending mass emails in response to each other for about a week so we reached out to Hipstr both by email and through their event support system. We initially chose them because they offered onsite photo printing, but when they finally responded to our support ticket, we were told guests would be mailed their photos after the event instead. Hipstr kept claiming that they were “ready to connect” with their customers and that they were working to do better, but they didn’t once respond to my emails or call me after I scheduled a call (that they had requested customers do!!). We ended up canceling our contract after that, but they still sent someone to our venue minutes before we were about to walk down the aisle. It was disrespectful to that employee and incredibly disruptive to us. There are definitely bigger issues at hand here and we would not recommend this company to anyone. -

Complete scam! I booked them for our wedding this coming august. Everything seemed great until several wks ago when I (and almost 100 other people) received a flurry of emails from an ex Hipstr employee. These emails explained how the company is going under and not delivering on packages that have been booked. We paid in full for our august booking so this was pretty alarming. It took over a dozen calls and wks before I could get ahold of anyone at the company. I spoke with Jake and he let me know it was a disgruntled employee (after first trying to say they were hacked) and that nothing was true and everything would be okay with my booking. This is when I found out that despite paying for the package that included unlimited prints, we would not actually receive any photos at our wedding and they would all be mailed at a later date. This makes zero sense and no where in our contract did it say we would not receive the prints. He let me know I could cancel and receive a full refund which I asked to do. It’s not been almost 2 wks and they’ve completely ghosted me, no refund and no confirmation of my cancellation. Worst experience ever. -

I contracted out Hipstr for our company event. I made sure they included printed onsite photos for our event in the contract. When the vendor arrived, he did not have a printer. I was then called by someone letting me know they messed up and can't fix it. He 'assured' me he would make it up to me. I have requested our printed photos for 2 months now and they have done nothing to help. They absolutely ghost you if any problem happens, even if it is the contract. Really sad and embarrassing. This is HIPSTRs fault as they also contract out photobooth vendors to work under them. I would recommend you go with someone who actually owns the photobooth and not sub contracting them. This place does not care, they just take your money. I do multiple events a year and would not recommend this service. -

I had an absolutely terrible experience with this photobooth service at my wedding, and I strongly advise against using them. They arrived over an hour and 20 minutes late, despite me paying extra for two additional hours to ensure everything would be set up and ready when guests arrived. Instead, they were still setting up as people walked in, causing unnecessary stress and disruption to the event. To make matters worse, the attendant was completely unprofessional. He was smoking inside the historical chapel, even after my wedding coordinator asked him multiple times to stop. This was incredibly disrespectful to the sacred environment we were in. The attendant was also disengaged, unhelpful, and showed no interest in engaging with the guests, which is the opposite of what their website claims about their service. And to add insult to injury, their so-called "unlimited prints" are not actually available onsite. Instead, they mail prints to your guests’ homes, but only if they fill out all their information through an email or text they receive. This is not communicated clearly at all, and it caused confusion among our guests. I was also specifically asked if I had wifi to support a printer, yet when the service finally arrived, there was no printer to be found. When I asked customer service about this, they informed me that printing was not even included in the package, which should have been clearly stated upfront. From my experience, if you happen to have a good experience with this company, it’s purely based on the host they assign you. Unfortunately, they don’t seem to do a thorough job vetting who they hire, so it’s essentially a gamble whether you’ll get good service or not. And don't bother relying on customer service—they’re completely unhelpful and dismissive. Overall, this was an incredibly frustrating experience, and it added a lot of unnecessary stress to what should have been a joyful day. I would never recommend this company to anyone, and I highly suggest looking elsewhere for your wedding photobooth needs.
