I seriously can't stop talking about how great our band was! Everyone had such a blast at our wedding. People were on the dance floor all night long, which was exactly what I wanted! Sharlene was amazing to work with - super responsive, talked to us over the phone in detail about what we wanted and what we didn't want. The band went into the crowd which I LOVE seeing at weddings. It was the best night of my life and Hipshot definitely helped with that! I would recommend them to anyone! -

Hipshot played at my sister’s wedding and a friend's wedding, so I knew we were going to have a great night, and they did not disappoint! Sharlene does a fantastic job MCing the wedding and keeping everything moving. A few times during the night, a few of the bandmates came into the crowd and really made the PARTY come to life. The dance floor was packed the whole time and everyone had a blast!! Days after the wedding, people keep reaching out saying what an amazing night we had and how the band really made that happen! Even the people that work at our venue were glowing about our band, saying this was one of the most fun weddings they had seen all year. We opted for the acoustic guitarist to play at our ceremony and he did a fantastic job. Leading up to our wedding, we had a few calls with Sharlene to iron out all the details - from venue set up to selecting our songs, first dance, flow of the event. Book them!! -

Do yourself a favor and hire them!!!!
Words cannot describe how great of a decision it was to hire Hipshot band!!! Our wedding consisted of my 85 year old grandmother all the way to our young 28 year old college friends. Sharlene and Hipshot danced WITH us and kept the party going all night long. People are still talking months later how great our band was! I love these guys!!!! -

Amazing band
We hired Hip Shot in 2018 for our wedding planned for 2020… due to the pandemic we had to wait until 2022 to FINALLY have our dream wedding celebration! HIPSHOT communicated with us throughout the entire ordeal and stayed true to our original price and contract. They brought down the house and were the stars of our evening! With a personal mic, a conga line with lead singer to join, saxophone, trumpets, keys, drums galore and so much more. Our friends and family can not speak enough to how awesome this band was. We can’t wait to see them play again! -

We can't recommend Hipshot enough. It was important to us to have a great live band at our wedding and Hipshot delivered and then some. Their musicianship AND showmanship are top notch, they don't just stand up there and play. They jam out, get involved with the crowd, and get EVERYONE dancing. They will absolutely take your wedding to the next level. Our guests were all raving about them. Not to mention, their lead singer/manager (Sharlene) is great to work with and was very accommodating to our requests. They are true professionals. -

We wanted a band so we could dance all night, and Hipshot delivered. They were attentive to every detail leading up to the wedding-- Sharlene was easy to get in touch with--and most importantly they are highly talented! We hired them for ceremony music and amplification/mics as well, which they facilitated effectively and professionally. At the reception, they made sure everyone had a blast on the dance floor. They played music from multiple eras with more classics than recent music, but everything was easy to dance to and sing along with. I even missed one of our requested songs while out taking photos, and they happily played it again later in the night. The band was energetic and multiple band members came out onto the dance floor--everyone had a great time. -

FANTASTIC wedding dance band.
Hipshot was amazing. The band was the most fun part of the entire wedding. Our friends and family danced all night long. They were kind, professional and talented musicians. Special thanks to front-woman Sharlene! -

OH.MY.GOD. We hired hipshot for our wedding band on 8/13/22 in Portsmouth NH. From start to finish they were amazing. Before the actual wedding day they were responsive, outgoing, and excited. They treated us like friends. They took all my requests into account, let me suggest WAY more songs than I think most bands would accommodate, and learned redbones “come and get your love” for us. They allowed us to schedule several phone calls with them to make sure we were on the same page. Next; professionalism. They were punctual, went with the flow when we were running late, and worked great with our venue and event coordinator. And finally; performance. My fiancé and I are in our 30’s and have been to A LOT of weddings, many with bands. They are, hands down, the best wedding band we’ve ever seen. Everyone kept asking us “WHERE DID YOU FIND THEM!?!” (We found them on wedding wire then went to see them perform). Everyone was literally obsessed with them. They interacted with the crowd, danced with us, and were just so ridiculously congenial and talented. The sax player? PHENOMENAL. And Sharlene was an amazing MC. I would hire them a million times over they were the best part of my wedding. I am even writing this on my way to my honeymoon because I want to make sure I get my thoughts out about them! HIRE THEM!!!! -

If you are looking for a wedding band that will get people moving Hip Shot is the band for you! They were high energy and so fun, getting everyone out on the dance floor early. I cant even count how many guest told us they felt the band was their favorite part of the wedding. Cant say enough good things about Hip Shot, so if you are looking for a band, look no further, they will make your wedding night unforgettable. -

My wife and I were looking for a band that would be able to create an atmosphere of fun energy as we celebrated our love with our close friends and family, and we were so grateful that we chose Hipshot. I never been to a wedding were it felt like the entire room was dancing until our wedding, and I attribute that to the amazing performances of HipShot. They interacted and had fun with our guest and is one of the major talking points with friends and family about our wedding night. You will not be disappointed. Highly Recommend! -

The Hipshot Band is a complete class act from start to finish. They truly took our wedding from great to unforgettably phenomenal. From the initial conversations with Sharlene, to the encore set on our special night, they delivered in every detail. Hipshot has both talent and professionalism and maintained the delicate balance of playing all our favorite songs and sentimental hits while keeping the crowd dancing all night. We received compliment after compliment about their performance and feel super fortunate we were able to have them. Sharlene and the other vocalists hit every sweet note while the rhythm section provided the grooves. Also, the saxophone man added a nice touch on many of the fun hits they played. The added bonus of going with Hipshot is that they really understand the flow and timing of all the particular "mini events" that go on over the course of the wedding. For example, they played the wedding party entrance song right on cue, learned a specific song for the mother of the groom/groom dance and had nicely crafted pre-recorded playlists for in between sets. If your wedding party wants to dance and have fun, then 10 out of 10 times I'd recommend Hipshot. -

When we began our search for a wedding band we got so lucky in finding the Hipshot Band! There are so many things that go into planning a wedding, a wedding band is a crucial part and takes a lot of planning, but Sharlene and John helped us tremendously, working with them was truly a pleasure. Sharlene is the best at what she does in planning and helping us get everything ready for the big day. They learned new songs for us and customized every little detail we wanted, they were so accommodating. The day of our wedding they were absolutely amazing and were so much fun, we received so many compliments about how great our wedding band, Hipshot was...everyone had a blast and they got everyone up on the dance floor! Collectively they bring tons of musical experience and impressive backgrounds together to form a unique group. If you are looking for a fun funky dance band Hipshot is the way to go plus they make the planning process so easy and a lot of fun too! I can't say enough amazing things about Sharlene and the entire Hipshot band, they are absolutely amazing!!! Thank you for making our wedding day a blast and so memorable!!! -

My June beach weekend
Sharlene & Hipshot were amazing to work with from the beginning. We went to see them perform in Rhode Island and they rocked the house (this Italian restaurant they play at every do often). We immediately fell in love with their performance and their attitude. Sharlene one of the lead singers was hugging everyone around the room! I immediately booked them after attending their performance. They were great! They even mixed 2 songs to blend and play one after another to make one whole song for my first dance with my husband. It was amazing! What can I say they were a hit at my wedding down the Cape. My family members are still talking about how great they are!! If you happen to book this band you won’t be disappointed. They rock -
