Professional and flexible!

I have always loved live music, and it was one of my main requests to have a live band at our wedding. My husband (then fiancé) didn't totally understand, but respected my request and prioritized it in our budget. My parents thought it was unnecessary, and we could just have a DJ or a playlist. However, after the wedding, all of our guests, especially my parents, couldn't stop raving about Hip Service. Many of them kept saying how we hired the best band and they had the best time! Even my parents admitted having Hip Service made a huge difference for our wedding. We are so glad our wedding planner highly recommended Hip Service. From planning to the wedding day, they were professional and flexible. They even provided a short recording of their band practice ahead of time to allow us to practice our first dance with. We couldn't thank the band enough for their amazing service!

Hip Service - amazing band!

Hip Service was amazing! They were well rehearsed, and their energy was on fire! Everyone that attended thought they rocked the house. They got the guests on the dance floor for the whole night; it was just what I had hoped for - I would definitely recommend them for your next party.

The Highlight of Our Reception!!

We hired Hip Service and their audio team for our wedding, and they were truly incredible! The audio technician was organized, professional, and made sure everything ran smoothly throughout the night. And the band itself was amazing! We are STILL (six months later) receiving compliments from guests and people continue to ask for their name!

Hip Service was clearly the highlight of our reception. They kept the crowd energized and the dance floor full, and they even let me get on stage to dance to my favorite song, which was such a memorable moment! Their choreography was fantastic, their vocals were outstanding, and they brought an energy that completely elevated the night. They were easily one of the best decisions we made for our wedding day.

We would choose them again a million times over. We highly, highly recommend! You will not be disappointed!

Wow, this was THE band! Incredible!

HOLY FRIGGIN MOLY - we are over the moon pumped to have worked with Hip Service for our wedding. The sound at the ceremony was excellent and smooth, and the band at the reception was BEYOND INCREDIBLE! They worked with us on a perfect and fun entrance moment (minds blown!), completely nailed our first dance song that they learned just for us (this meant SO much to us!), then played an INSANE set of just the highest caliber music, vocals, choreo, vibes, everything. Book them if you want a killer dance party!

Amazing Experience

We hired Hip Service for our wedding and we are so beyond glad we did! They are nothing short of amazing. They were awesome to work with from the beginning, making the process so easy and enjoyable. They showed up that day and knew exactly what was needed to do and were extremely professional. They put on the best show ever! The best songs without us knowing the playlist, incredible choreography, the most amazing energy and so much talent. We have had so many people reach out to us after our wedding sharing with us how amazing they were and gave raving reviews.

The BEST Decision

Hip Service was the best decision! It can be hard to choose a band without seeing them live, but trust me, you will not regret it! So many people came up to me after the wedding to tell me how amazing the band was. Two different people told me it was the best band they had ever seen live, including all concerts - not just wedding bands! Everyone was raving about them! They could not have been better!

Fantastic wedding band!

We couldn’t have asked for a better wedding band than big crush with hip service! Their performance was absolutely phenomenal, keeping the energy high and the dance floor packed all night. Amazing and talented band, easy to work with—can’t recommend them enough!

We did a lot of research on wedding bands, but due to timing and availability, we didn’t get the chance to see one live before making our decision. Based on reading reviews and a recommendation from our planner, we chose Hip Service- and we’re so glad we did!

Working with Steve was easy, fun, and professional. The band was absolutely incredible with talented musicians delivering a unique and diverse playlist that kept the dance floor packed all night long. They even surprised us by learning a special song we requested. We didn’t want the night to end!

Made our reception!

Two of our friends had Hip Service play at their wedding with rave reviews, so they were the first vendor we booked and we are so happy we did! By far the best part of our reception was Hip Service; everyone I spoke to agreed! The level of professionalism was unmatched and everyone in attendance was blown away. Best of the best.

Incredible

I cannot say enough good things about HipService! We just used them for our wedding this past weekend in Napa and it was truly the best time. The band, acoustic guitarists, and DJ were seriously all so amazing. Multiple of our guests came up to us to tell us how much fun the band was and that they'd never seen a dance floor packed at all times like that (which was exactly our goal). The DJ (after the band) was also super fun and open to our recommendations. My now husband and I were saying we need one of our other friends/or family members to get married ASAP so that we can recommend HipService and experience it all over again! Thank you seriously so much for making all of our wedding music dreams come true. It was THE BEST time!

Best wedding band ever!

Hip Service was freaking amazing. We had them for my wedding on October 21st in Carmel Valley and they SHOWED UP! Couldn't have been better!

Amazing Night with Hip Service

We used Hip Service for our recent wedding and they did not disappoint. Our guests and us loved them. They played a range of songs that set the mood for the whole night. If Hip Service is available on your wedding date, you better book them right away

Hip Service absolutely made our wedding amazing, I can't talk highly enough of them. They kept the dance floor PACKED from start to finish, and even the staff at our venue (who sees bands every weekend) were dancing and taking videos. They took suggestions from us, but knew how together a killer playlist for attendees of all ages. They were professional, organized, and even let me on stage as an amateur guitar player, and made me feel like a rock star. Can't recommend highly enough!!

Unbelievable all around experience.

Truly phenomenal experience with HIP Service!

We were completely blown away by HIP Service's performance!! I can't count how many people came up to me during and after the wedding raving about how incredible the band was and asking where we found them. Hats off to every member of the band, they elevated the entire event and brought so much energy. We used them for our ceremony guitarist, jazz trio for cocktail hour, and full band for dancing. We felt like we were at an actual concert, it was truly amazing! Five stars all the way, absolute must hire!

Incredible wedding band!!

We absolutely loved having Hip Service play at our wedding this spring, and we have only great things to say about the experience!! The band itself was amazing - great range of songs and styles, with something for everyone, and we were incredibly appreciative of their flexibility as our timing was adjusted day-of due to some unforeseen delays. It was also really great working with the band manager, Steve - we worked closely together to co-create the setlist, and while I’m sure that’s not a typical thing it made a difference to me personally. I didn’t leave the dance floor once all night! They also provided the sound system for our ceremony, and a DJ for after the band, and amazing lighting - really was the full package. 10/10 would recommend.

Great band

We hired HipService for our wedding in Sonoma and had an absolutely amazing time! My dad and my husband's best man both played with the band, which was so much fun. They brought a ton of energy and everyone was dancing. It was amazing. I highly recommend hiring them!

Hip Service is the best!

What I cared about most at my wedding, besides marrying my husband, was the dancing. Hip Service listened to our "do not play list" perfectly and even learned a reggae song for our first dance... and rocked it! They brought so much energy and fun. The guests were in awe, and I didn't leave the dance floor.

HipService is the best in the business!

HIGHLY recommend HipService as your band! They were our wedding band in Lake Tahoe and we absolutely loved them. Many of our guests said it was the best part of the wedding.

Best. Wedding. Band. Ever.

Hip Service brought the house down during our May 29, 2021 wedding. I believe we were the first large event they had done since COVID began, but they didn’t skip a beat! Their amazing energy, sound, and joy made for a fantastic party. They had everyone on the dance floor the whole evening (and honestly we wish they could’ve played longer!). Even three months later, our guests are still saying that Hip Service is the best wedding band they’ve ever heard! Hands-down best wedding band ever. I’d dance to them again in a heartbeat! 12/10 would recommend.

Best Wedding Band

Hip Service was incredible! Their responsiveness, organization, and music were all great. Our wedding guests continue to tell us that Hip Service is the best wedding band they have ever seen. Hip service learned our wedding song and played it better than the original artist. Again, we could not be happier with our choice to go with Hip Service. Make sure to have them play Higher and Higher and Proud Mary!

The best band. Hands down.

Hip Service is the best in the business. Leading up to our wedding, they were incredible to work with - communicative, flexible, willing to learn new songs! The two and a half hours we spent dancing at our wedding was the most fun part of our whole weekend. They did not disappoint for a single song. The majority of our guests were dancing the entire time - a couple guests from our of town even came up to us and told us that they wished a band like this was closer to them. They learned a brand new song (for them) for mine and my husband's first dance, and we were blown away. It's now our favorite rendition of that song. I could not recommend anything more - if you can get Hip Service, you absolutely should.

Best band ever

Hip Service is beyond fantastic. They are not only super nice and accommodating (they learned the music for the First Dance and sounded just like J Boog, adjusted the music for our Family Dance at the very last minute, and rocked all the couples' favorite songs) but also awesome singers, performers, and musicians!!! No one left the dance floor (honestly EVERYONE danced the night away) because the music was that awesome and the fun level was that high. The dancing was incredible!!! Smiles were seen everywhere including on the band. We could never have asked for a better dance band. Hip Service played a HUGE part in making our wedding memorable and magical. I would hire them again in a heartbeat!!!

Best Wedding Band Ever

Hip Service just played our wedding in Northern California and it was incredible! During the lead up to our wedding all of our vendors were saying how amazing Hip Service was and they were so excited to see them again. The hype seemed almost insurmountable but when they were on stage that absolutely blew everyone away. We had many comments that evening and the next day as well as texts from guest saying "Best Wedding Band Ever!!". The MC did a great job guiding the evening along and then seamlessly took over the roll of bonafide rockstar on stage. All the back up singers were amazing with their choreographed moves and the musicians were on point. The dance floor was crowded and bustling from start to finish. Leading up to the wedding everyone we dealt with logistically from Hip Service was friendly and courteous even though we weren't always the most responsive. They stayed on top of everything and got us to the finish line. I cannot recommend Hip Service enough...5 star everything!

The Best Wedding Band!

When we started looking for a wedding band of our wedding in Tahoe everyone we talked to at our venue kept saying Hip Service was the best they knew of. Well not only were they right, they were the best band we’ve ever seen at any wedding! Many of our guests commented that the band totally made the evening. One of our guests, who was planning a wedding themselves, liked the band so much they asked us if we thought they would travel to Austin for a wedding! People thought we spent 3x what we did on the band so I’d consider them a great value. Steve was a pleasure to deal with and super accommodating. They were one of the easiest vendors we dealt with. Highly highly recommend.

One of the BEST decisions we made for our wedding

The band was INCREDIBLE. The second they started performing, everyone was on the dance floor, and no one sat down the rest of the night. I think out of all of the decisions we made for the wedding, this was one of the best. I’ll never forget when the song Dancing Queen came one (my favorite), they prefaced it by saying it was a special request from a special person, and then they let me get on stage with them – it was one of the highlights of the entire wedding and made me SO happy!

Best Dance Party Wedding Ever!

All I asked for was a band and Hip Service delivered! Everyone at the wedding was talking about the band the next day and even 6 months after! Best Band-Best Decision

This is without a doubt one of the best hires made for our daughter's wedding. They absolutely put on a show and are incredible performers/musicians/singers. Dance floor was packed the entire time. True professionals. If I could rate them higher than a 5, I would. I have heard from so VERY many folks attending the wedding (night of or after the wedding) that it was the best band they have ever heard at a wedding.

Best wedding band ever

I heard them at a friend's daughter's wedding, and knew I had to hire them for my daughter's wedding. They really made the day and capped off the evening with great music. If I had another daughter, I would hire them in a heartbeat.

Best band ever

I cannot day enough great things about this band- they were AMAZING!! I’ve never seen more New Yorkers up and dancing at a wedding in my life and we are a hard bunch to please. These band was so much fun and so amazing, they kept the crowd going all night long. Steve bloom was a fantastic partner- he accommodated all of our requests and took the time to get to know us and understand what we were looking for. We had some unique requests and he was totally willing to accommodate everything. My guests have not stopped talking about how amazing this band was!!!! I highly highly recommend this band if you’re looking for a fun, non stop dance party wedding :)

As New Yorkers getting married in California we didn’t have the luxury of hearing a lot of bands play before having to select one for our wedding. We went off of online reviews and posted videos, which is why writing this is so important… Hip Service was AWESOME and we are so grateful for everyone that took the time to share their great experience so we could have our own. It was definitely an investment and a scary one to make blind, but they were fantastic. We had a small wedding and a big band (54 people and a 12 person band) and Hip Service made sure the room didn’t feel small, the band didn’t swallow the people and that we truly were rocking all night long. We sent along our thoughts about songs in advance, everything was seamless and they truly read the crown that night. Thank you Hip Service for helping to make our wedding magical!

The BEST entertainment you could hope for!

I am usually quite the skeptic when it comes to trusting reviews. Planning a wedding from out of state was extremely difficult, especially when it came to finding entertainment! I really wanted a live band and a DJ, and not being able to see anyone live made the choice that much more difficult, but I went with my gut and booked Hip Entertainment! I hired the band Popular Demand and DJ Louie to make sure the party kept going throughout the event. It was the BEST decision to book them! Steve and his team is truly the GREATEST!!!!

My husband and I are still beside ourselves after this weekend and I have to tell you, Popular Demand and DJ Louie absolutely KILLED IT!!! The dance floor was NEVER empty, people couldn't stop dancing and majority of our guests refused to leave the party and stayed and until midnight without realizing what time it was! No one wanted to leave because of how good both the band and DJ were. I received this comment all night: "This is the best party I have every been to! The band and DJ are SO GOOD!"

I cannot begin to thank you enough for ALL Hip Entertainment did! It was truly the best day of my life, and your team facilitated the best party! I don't know if I got to properly thank both Popular Demand and DJ Louie for being a part of our special day. Additionally, I was so overwhelmed with everything that day, and didn't provide an additional tip for them. I would really like to send them a thank you card and tip for everything they did. Would you be able to provide an address for me to send those things to?

Incredible from start to finish!

We used Hip Service for our wedding in October 2018, and we were totally blown away by them. After talking to a few other bands, we had grown somewhat wary of the various band managers who weren't transparent on pricing and were very pushy. Steve Bloom was incredibly professional, and I have only good things to say about him. Our guests said that Hip Service was the best wedding band they had heard, and they danced the whole night. We 100% recommend using them! Thank you Hip Service!

5 Stars!!! Unbelievable

These guys & gals were amazing. We had a wedding of about 260 people and everyone was raving about how good the band was. The performance was 5 star and you could see that the band put their hear and soul into the performance. I will recommend to everyone and hope to hire them again! They made our wedding day so special! From the first dance they preformed by leon bridges to don't stop believing they had everyone dancing the entire night and everyone was sad when it ended but also exhausted from all the dancing! People that didn't dance said they enjoyed just sitting watching the performance. That's how good they were.

Wedding Highlight

Hip Service played at our son's wedding. They were absolutely amazing. Everyone was on the dance floor. There are so many different aspects to a wedding. Everything came together just perfectly. But the number one thing that guests continue to rave about is 'the band.'

Hip Service was simply AWESOME at our daughter's wedding reception! Steve and the band were great to work with in every respect - true professionals, musicians and entertainers! In addition to nailing old and new school music, their energy completely permeated everyone on the dance floor and in the room! The best decision we made during our wedding vendor selection was to hire Hip Service to perform during our reception! Having a band is definitely an investment, but it’s one that was so incredibly worth it. Steve was extremely professional and responsive throughout the planning process, and was so easy to work with. On the wedding day, everything went so smoothly (AV set up with microphones, for speeches, and ceremony sound, etc.). We also had a jazz trio during cocktail hour that was awesome. The band was AMAZING! They really know how to get everyone out dancing! We are in our late 20s so we wanted to find a band that knew some modern songs but also played the classics to get guests of all ages on the dance floor. Hip Service did just that! They were also so interactive with the guests, and didn’t mind when my (HUGE) family got up on stage with them to dance and sing. I want to re-live my wedding day thanks to Hip Service - seriously, you guys are the best! So many of our guests commented that the band was amazing and have asked for their information. Thank you, Hip Service, for making our wedding the best night of our lives!

We booked Hip Service before we even booked our wedding venue. We first experienced Hip Service at our friend’s wedding, and having them at our wedding was the best decision we made. We honestly could have had our reception in a parking lot or garage, and if we had this band, it still would have been an incredible party. From working with my brother for his "toast” and learning our first dance song to keeping the dance floor at such a high energy all night, the band was amazing. Thank you Hip Service!

We wish we could give them 100 stars!! This band is truly phenominal, and created an absolutely epic vibe at our wedding. Our guests were on the dance floor all night!! The musicians are incredibly talented, and the singers are unbelievable. At one point, it was like having Beyonce at our wedding. We had very high expectations for Hip Service based on their reviews, but they exceeded them anyway. Their promo videos online show their exceptional quality, so I'll mention a couple behind the scenes things. First, Steve is great to work with logistically: proactive and super-responsive, while still being low-stress and understanding when things change. These characteristics are especially welcome in what can be stressful wedding planning, and I didn't necessarily expect such a high-powered operation to be able to take the individualized time for our event. Second, the band learned an R&B song for us that wasn't totally in its normal wheelhouse, but they totally smoked it.
Overall, they were the centerpiece of our wedding and delivered in every way!

Hipservice was fantastic! They sounded amazing at my daughter's wedding, played great songs, and had nearly all of our 140+ guests on the dance floor. After the wedding tons of our family and friends commented about how great the band was. Hipservice was also super easy to work with. They were much more flexible than some of the other bands we considered in their requests and their rider. When we had to move the wedding last minute due to the Sonoma fires, they were very willing to play at our new location despite it being an hour or so away from the other venue.

WOW - in one word this is the best way to sum up Hip Service. They had all 170 people at our wedding on the dance floor - even the 95+ year old grandparents (mine got out of her wheelchair so she could be part of the action)!! Steve and his team are incredible!! I've worked with many bands as a wedding planner but Hip Service really knocked my socks off. Hip Service completely rocked our wedding. Every intricate detail that you guys put together for the set made our night special in every way. From the escalating hora, to the professional sounding Waste, to your rendition of Missing You that had the entire Leonard side of the family and many of Ari's friends screaming on the dance floor, to the final three songs where everyone was chanting at the tops of their lungs, you were truly rockstars. I want to start by saying thank you SOOOO very much from the bottom of my heart for making my daughter's wedding so perfect. Truly!!! In case you didn't know, we're a dancing family; the kids went where I went, and as I teach dance, my three children starting dancing from the womb. So when we ALL say you are the BEST EVER we actually know about what we are talking...do remember that my crazy husband has no blood relation to me, so I cannot account for his move choices or rhythm! The only parts of my body that are in pain are my feet because I and everyone never left the dance floor. Sore feet=amazing band!!! Great songs, superb drummer, spot on guitarists, wonderful keyboards, and dynamite singers who could also dance! Bravo!! Thank you Steve!!! One of my best friends, an amazing wedding planner, told me about you. She raved about you, and even her accolades did not do you justice. Everyone agrees.

This band is perfection. They were the first vendor we picked because when we got engaged my cousin had just been to a wedding with Hip Service and immediately told us about them. And they were just as good as we expected. Everyone was dancing the entire night and kept coming up to us telling us how great this band was. They were a dream to work with and were very professional. They also had very few demands compared to some others. They learned a song for us, and let us create a long song list. If you want a great dance party, this is the band to use!

If you are looking for a band for your wedding, this is THE ONE! Excellent music, total professionalism, and they make your event!

We wanted something that was truly special and a surprise for our guests - and Hip Service was exactly that! We had our wedding at the Four Seasons Hotel in San Francisco, so you can imagine the bar any band had to clear to be surprise worthy - we didn't even tell our family we had a band. Like everyone, we went through the "bands are so expensive" phase and once past that (we realized that the impact of the live band would make the night), we found out that the difference between a common band (what I call an "Art and Wine Festival Band" - one that plays a bunch of old stuff that the Zumba people can move to) and the real deal (one that you can depend on to take your event to the next level), was really not that much. With Hip Service, you get current songs, played by professionals that know how to keep the party going! We had they put together a small Jazz band for dinner and then bring out the full band, complete with horn section (sorry - I'm a trumpet player, so this was a huge jump for me), for the full on dance party.

They kept everyone on the dance floor all night - including my teenage nieces and nephews all the way to my almost 80yo Dad. My Dad actually shut the whole thing down with the hard core party friends and family.

The number one comment about the wedding the next day (and still) was "That Band was amazing!...That was the best wedding EVER." I guess our surprise worked - Hip Service is THE reason that we and our guests had a great time and felt that the wedding was the best ever. If you are planning an event, don't blow it by going with a crappy band...Go with Hip Service and the rest will take care of itself.

This band is AMAZING! They performed at our wedding in June and I cannot stop talking about them. Eleven members performed at our dancing reception, and three of the band members performed as a Jazz Trio during the dinner reception. They played everything we asked for and more! Steve was very responsive and helped coordinate everything - including a few last minute A/V add-ons. The band was amazing and very well practiced and coordinated. They learned a few special songs for us and otherwise had a perfect wedding set list that covered a bunch of genres and all of the wedding hits you'd expect. I'd definitely recommend Hip Service for a wedding or frankly any event where you'd want a great, versatile band.

I researched and interviewed numerous bands and ultimately chose Hip Service because they were exactly what I was looking for -- a high-energy party band with horns, multiple male and female singers, a song list with current party pop songs, oldies but goodies and all around classics....not to mention a band manager that was super responsive, attentive to details and on the same page with our vision for the night, which was to focus on having a super fun party.

The band manager, Steve Bloom, made working with Hip Service an absolute joy. I interviewed Steve over the phone and knew when we hung up that he and Hip Service were the right band for the job. I of course watched several videos, listened to songs and scoured their song list beforehand, but after speaking with him, it was his enthusiasm for crafting the night however we wanted that sold it for me.

When it came to the actual reception, Hip Service was simply incredible! I'm not kidding -- nearly everyone asked where we found such an awesome band!? I've never been to a wedding where there were so many compliments on the band, seriously. People were flooding the dance floor the entire night and all I saw was huge grins on everyone's faces. People are still talking about how awesome the band was. Numerous people said something along the lines of "that wasn't just a wedding band, that was our own private concert!" Not to mention, they owned the room from 7pm until midnight....nearly 5 hours with only two short breaks. They also provided uplighting for our reception room that looked amazing!

I really can't recommend any wedding band any more highly!

Hip Service is truly amazing! They played at my wedding on Oct 24th, 2015 at the Ritz-Carlton SF and they had everyone dancing. Everyone thought they were amazing. We got so many compliments about the band that my parents friends are even asking about them and want to hire them for other performances. My friends all said the band "killed it!" They have so much energy, excellent voices, and Steve (manager) is very flexible in terms of working with you to meet your needs and requests. They truly made the night! Stop your search right here. Seriously. Hire this band. I feel so fortunate they had an opening the date of my wedding. I shudder to think at the other band options I came across in my search...best decision ever to hire them!

Hip Service: book them! These guys ROCKED our wedding! Our guests are still raving about what an experience it was.

Steve and team were very accommodating to all our input and customized the playlist and emceeing perfectly. The contracting was smooth, and when we had some last minute changes they handled them with ease.

And the dance floor - wow! Starting with dinner music people were out there dancing. But after they started the dance set, every last person was out there - I've never seen anything like it. The band is pitch perfect and beautifully choreographed, with an incredible level of talent throughout. They interact with the crowd which is really cool - sometimes it's hard to tell where the band stops. One of the best moments was toward the end when a few older guests finally needed a break and sat down - but they were still staring wide-eyed at what a great show they were seeing.

Bottom line: music is important to us and a very memorable part of any wedding (good OR bad). If Hip Service fits your budget and is available, you should book them without hesitation.

This band and their leader were them best. All the wedding guests raved how great they were. The leader was a joy to work with in preparation and had a "can do" attitude and did. This is my third wedding we put on for our children and this was the best band including the famous one we used in LA.

Amazing performance! Everyone was on the dance floor the whole night and all the guests told me how much they loved the band. Perfect music selection and the band even learned the song for our first dance! The singers are truly talented, as are all musicians in the band--a great choice all around!

If you have the money and hip service has the availability there is no reaso to even consider another option, hands down the best dance band you can hire. So good in fact I'm getting tired of hearing how good the band was as I was hoping to hear how beautiful my bride looked.

Hip Service made our wedding night truly a SUCCESS! They were truly outstanding, and we received numerous compliments. All of our Guests were even on the dance for before dinner was served. Steve was extremely flexible and responsive, and they learned our first dance song for us and nailed it. Hip Service was fantastic! I was a little bit nervous about hiring them without hearing them live first, but they were so professional, responsive, and willing to provide references (all traits I did not find with other bands I looked at) that I was encouraged and was willing to line them up. They did not disappoint! My friends all said the band was so, so great. They played a lot of newer, modern hits (by request) and mixed in some of the more traditional wedding stuff that people of all ages enjoyed. They have great energy and were a ton of fun. Would definitely recommend, especially given their professionalism and willingness to suggest other music vendors (like great ceremony and cocktail hour music). You will be happy you selected Hip Service!

We contacted Hip Service the week after we got engaged. They were the first vendor we booked (before confirming a date or venue) and it was by far the best decision we made. We knew a band can make or break a wedding and Hip Service took our wedding to “The Next Level.” The band and singers were phenomenal. They kept the dance floor packed all night long. Steve (the band leader and point of contact) was so wonderful to work with. He was professional, responsive, and accommodating. We are continuing to get rave reviews about how much fun our guests had and how amazing Hip Service was! Snatch them up for your wedding before they are taken!

Couldn't have asked for a better wedding band. It has been 3 weeks since our wedding and friends are still talking about Hip Service and how they were the best band they have heard at a wedding. Not only was the musicianship high, they were very good at keeping people on the dance floor the entire evening. They learned two songs for us and after learning what kind of music we were looking for took control of the entire playlist. They closed with Shout and Don't Stop Believing and there were few of or 200 guests not on the dance floor for them. I highly recommend them and already have 3 friends who were at are wedding who are interested in having them play at their respected future events.

Hip Service made our wedding reception the best wedding party (many of our guests commented "it was the best wedding ever!" (other than their own :))!! Steve and his team was very professional while we discussed all the details from the song list to the schedule of the night and any specific songs that we would like them to learn. Everything was executed flawlessly and we were able to enjoy our party without any concerns along with our loved ones. The dance floor was always full (and we had a very large dance floor - almost everyone was up the entire evening - even during the dinner music!)! Many guests commented how there were many times that they had to look up and check if it was really the band playing because they sounded so amazing and just like the original artists! They play such a wide range of music - every age group was happy! They were also very engaging even coming down on the dance floor to interact with the guests - just so much fun! By midnight we didn't want them to end, so we paid for an extra hour - so worth it! If you want to have the best wedding reception ever - I would highly recommend using Hip Service!!

Hip Service made our party. They were the highlight of the wedding and weeks later people are STILL raving about them. They played a wide variety of music and kept the party going all night. Speaking as the father of the bride, I can only say that the band was excellent, which is an understatement. It helped in no small way to make my daughter's wedding a very memorable event.. Almost all of the guests, both family and friends expressed that they felt the same way. The band also seemed to really enjoy the evening themselves and they were all very friendly with the audience, which is also an extra special benefit I think. They are very good at "personalizing" the music with the bride, groom and family. Their band members were all extremely talented and their variety of music was outstanding. They are all also very attractive, which doesn't hurt :) They made the party after the ceremony absolutely great !

Hip Service really delivered on our wedding and made the reception truly awesome! Friends and family, young and old danced the entire night, only stopping briefly to cool off or refill a drink. Steve was extremely professional on the business side and even had the band learn a special song ("Tupelo Honey") for our first dance. Pricier than most, maybe, however this 11 piece, well-oiled machine made every dollar worth it. So good!

Hip Service is the best wedding band I've ever seen. They very easy to work with during the planning process, they learned 2 new songs for me and did a great job. My guests began dancing before the reception even began! While my new husband and I were waiting to enter the reception to be introduced, we had to wait for our guests to stop dancing! That was truly amazing, that were able to generate such amazing energy from the crowd, exactly what I wanted. Hip Service set the tone for our wedding and made it the best night of our lives. I would love love love to hire Hip Service again, and I intend to do so! I've also received compliments from almost every guest regarding how great the band was. Fun, energetic, played a wide range of songs and very flexible with requests etc..

I can not recommend what an incredible Band Hip Service was from working with them on contracts, play lists and then at our wedding. They were amazingly professional and responsive and provided excellent guidance. And the night they played for our wedding they went over the top with a show that started with dinner music that was perfect until they had the whole room dancing when it was time to get the party started! We were amazed at their level of talent and commitment to performing at the top of their game!

You guys were absolutely awesome, everyone loved you! I was a bit afraid that with the group we had at the wedding, we'd struggle to get people dancing but that was definitely not the case at all. In fact, we had to move the tables out of the way to make more room! I've certainly never heard people chant for the band to play "one more song" at a wedding, so that was pretty great. Your rendition of Proud Mary was amazing, and the two lead singers (men, one of them always took the rap sections) were just great at getting the crowd riled up. I guess the only piece of constructive criticism I might offer is that the ladies that were performing that night did not seem to be having fun at all? Not much smiling, and their choreography was great but done sort of on auto-pilot. Could have just been an off-night or they had a big weekend, and it didn't take away from the performance. I think that's the only thing though, is that if the ladies looked like they were having a good time, it would have been that much better.

Overally though, Steve was fantastic to work with, the performance exceeded all my expectations, and I had an absolute blast on the dance floor, and that's saying someone for someone who is a very self-conscious dancer! Thanks for everything, couldn't have asked for better!!!!

I recently got married at the Hyatt in Lake Tahoe and hired Steve Bloom and the Hip Service Band for the reception. Music and dancing are very important to my family and friends and we wanted to ensure we had a band that could handle multiple genres of music and could entertain. We were absolutley blown away with the quality and professionalism of their performance. From helping to play our ceremony music, cooridnating our cocktail reception background songs, to effotlessly transitioning from dinner music to party rock athems, they made every section of music flow with the event. They were experts at reading the crowd and delivered spot on when it came to song choices. Our guests ranged from those in their 20's to their 80's and we appreciated the variety of classics and top hits that pleased everyone. They continued to play classic Frank Sinatra while guests entered the reception but were also capable of playing LMFAO, Katy Perry and Jessie J - I personally must say the band's rendition of Blurred Lines was dead on and was a highlight of the night. Steve Bloom and his crew were well organized and cared about every detail of my wedding, which made it a pleasure to work with them. They were flexible in scheduling their sets and breaks and even offered to learn a few songs for the occassion. I have been to tons of weddings in the past where the band has their own strict timeline, but Hip Service is the complete opposite. If people are dancing and into it, they will keep playing and if you would like to plan something less conventional they are up for the challenge. Steve was also very helpful with making recommendation on when the best times are to play certain songs, do toasts, cut cake, etc. I cannot express my gratitude enough to Hip Service, they were incredible, impressive, energized and flat out fantastic! If I was getting married again I would hire them in a heartbeat, but for now, I'll just have to think of another good excuse to throw a party.

When you have your entire wedding party of 180 people on the dance floor all night, it must be the band! Hip Service played oldies, current hits, cocktail swing - every song sounded like the original! The dance floor overflowed with happy, smiling dancers in celebration of the wedding. I can't say enough how thoughtful, respectful, professional and cooperative Steve Bloom and his band were for our wedding. They were the easiest part of planning our wedding! I would hire them again in a second!! I actually don't feel like I hired them; they were part of our wedding team doing their part to make our wedding special! Fantastic!!!

Hip Service played at our wedding on 8/24 at Barndiva in Healdsburg, CA. What a fantastic band. Perfect for any wedding or major event!

Let me start by saying how professional and responsive Hip Service was to all of our pre-wedding inquiries. We exchanged multiple emails and phone calls with them before the big day to make sure all logistics and presentations were set. As the groom, I never had to worry-- they knew exactly what we wanted. Our wedding dinner was outside, and when it was time for all guests to move inside for dancing, Hip Service was fully set up and ready to roll.

Their sweet spot in music is a combination of older motown/disco (think Sister Sledge) sprinkled in with current top 40 (think Robin Thicke). I personally enjoyed their more current stuff best, but I know my parents were totally into their older renditions. They even learned (or at least re-learned) a lesser known Marvin Gaye song that was our first dance. They probably won't know every song you'd want to have played, but no band does. And trust me, the energy and full sound they bring is so so much better than anything a dj could spin.

If you want a professional, fun, and super talented band, Hip Service is spot on. Thank you, guys!

Awesome band!!!! We had so much fun dancing to them....and the dance floor was full the entire time they were playing. I have worked with Hip Service for many years and liked them so much I hired them for our own wedding! They aren't your average wedding band ... they have a brass section, drummer, bass player, guitarist, numerous singers, and several dancers - the combo makes for a really talented and high energy performance! Highly recommend this group!

I cannot recommend Steve and Hip Service more. We planned a destination wedding in Tahoe (from NYC!) via email and phone, and Steve was incredibly responsive, professional and patient with us and all of our questions. The day of the wedding I have NO DOUBT that everything would go off without a hitch because of their attention to detail and the countless hours Steve spend on the phone with us.

The band even surprised us a week before our wedding by learning a pretty obscure song for our first dance (Shine a Light by the Rolling Stones) and KILLED IT, to the point that the band cut out and one point so everyone could clap along with the lead singer. It was honestly my favorite moment of the whole day.

I cannot even describe how incredible Hip Service was for our September wedding in Sonoma. I (the bride) prefer motown and my now husband is a huge classic rock fan. Hip Service combined both of our styles and performed such a high energy, mellow when appropriate, performance. Also, they learned "Thank You" by Led Zeppelin for our first dance; not an easy guitar challenge. They nailed it and more! I was blown away. Additionally, my now husband surprised me by singing and playing guitar, requiring a practice session with the band. The band was so thoughtful and also gave him great tips as he performed. I will ask Hip Service to play at ANY party we have and will tell all friends getting married in San Francisco and beyond to hire them. I cannot even properly express how awesome this band was at our black tie wedding and I can be hard to please ;).
