Ordered flower pickup for my mehndi (henna party) and nikkah (Islamic wedding), and flower delivery to Northern Harford County for my wedding celebration, all the week of 10/25/25.
Maya was very responsive to my requests for flowers and able to customize the order to my exact needs. It was a huge order, and I am impressed she was able to provide this quantity of local flowers in late October.
All the guests were awed by the florals and I got compliments on them even weeks later. Creating the floral arrangements with family and friends was a highlight of the week and a great way for both sides to bond before the wedding.
We used the flowers and greenery in: arch made of flower foam; hair braids; vases and mason jars; meadow oasises; my bouquet; marigold garlands (Maya supplied 400 marigold heads).
and they all were beautiful. I heard from multiple people they have never seen dahilas like the ones supplied.
My cousin who helped with arrangements said the experience makes her want to DIY her own florals for her upcoming wedding.

Beautiful, Local Flowers for Our Wedding
We loved working with Hillen Homestead and with Maya for our wedding florals and decor. We were able to customize to get exactly what we wanted, and Maya offered helpful tips about colors, arrangements, keeping flowers fresh, etc. She worked and communicated well with both me and my mom, who was able to do a sample bucket and practice arrangements before the big day. We highly recommend Hillen Homestead if you want to do your own flowers for a wedding or other event! Great quality, great price, great communication. -

Maya was fantastic to work with and helped us figure out what we needed for our April wedding centerpieces. The folks at Hillen Homestead were able to match the flowers in our bucket (we ordered a single one) to our wedding color scheme (light pink and sage) and even got tulips in there - which are my (bride's) favorite flower but definitely harder to come across. It meant so much. Pickup was a breeze too, and the flowers are still holding strong 6 days later. These were absolutely beautiful and we will definitely look into buying from them again! Especially love supporting a business local to Bmore! -

I purchased bulk flowers from Hillen Homestead and it was a fantastic experience. Maya gave me multiple buckets of flowers for a great price and my sister and I DIY-ed all the arrangements on all the tables and for our ceremony stage. I would highly recommend this approach. The flowers were great quality. I chose to have Maya give us seasonally appropriate flowers in specific colors and she gave us such a fantastic variety. We were able to create really dynamic arrangements in colors that I loved. Super fun process and would highly recommend! -

I loved meeting and working with Maya on the seasonal flowers for my wedding. It was important to us that we source as much local decor and food for our Baltimore City wedding as possible, so HIllen was the perfect grower. The blossoms and variety were gorgeous and fragrant. It's a bit of work trimming the stems for arrangements, but I didn't mind that part. And my day-of planners grouped the flowers into arrangments for the tables. I wasn't tremendously picky, just wanted some colors highlighted. Guests thought they were stunning and just right for our low-key-yet-beautiful event. I dried and pressed a few bouquets for my scrapbook. I couldn't have been more pleased with the flowers or with Maya's kind assistance. -

I knew that I wanted to DIY my table centerpieces, and was excited to source the flowers locally through Hillen Homestead. Maya was great to work with - checking in about color palette and specific flower requests, as well as logistics of flower delivery the day we were planning to do the arranging. She was even able to accommodate a last minute request for edible flowers to use on my cake. We were so pleased with the quality and variety of flowers that she had for us, and had such a fun time arranging everything the day before the wedding. -

Amazing flowers
The flowers from Hillen Homestead were amazing. Maya made the whole process easy and stress free. The pick-up was easy and the flowers were fresh and perfect for my daughters wedding. The flowers Maya selected for us were incredible and made the DIY process so easy. -

I loved using Hillen Homestead DIY buckets so much that I used them twice! We had a small 2020 wedding on our original wedding date, and Maya provided all of the flowers for this ceremony. We bought two buckets and I had enough for my bouquet and all the tables plus more (it was only about 20 people). The flowers were beautiful and exactly what I wanted for a fall wedding.
We used her again in 2021 for reception flowers and my bridesmaids’ bouquets for our full-size wedding celebration. I loved setting up the flowers with my family and friends, and the flowers were so beautiful! I highly recommend. -

Hillen Homestead: The Cream of the Crop
As the MOB in charge of the flowers, working with Maya at Hillen Homestead was one of the best experiences of the wedding planning that I could have. I actually had the pleasure of planting the tulip bulbs (with love) in her corner urban lot on a sunny autumn day, and I believed from day one that her harvest would be the most magnificent harvest ever, and she delivered exactly that. I was thrilled to support a local grower and trusted that whatever was growing the week of the wedding would be perfect for our celebration. My daughter had no idea what was coming until the day of, and was over thrilled at the beautiful harvest, as was I. Maya had the most luscious Spring blossoms to send our way, and we couldn’t have been happier. We also used HH for the shower flowers as well. Hillen Homestead ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ All the way. -

We ordered the flowers and greenery for our reception center pieces from Hellen Homestead. Maya was a true joy to work with! This was the main DIY element in our wedding and we are so happy that we went this route. We loved that the flowers were grown with love and care only a few miles from our wedding. The flowers and greenery were stunning. Our friends and family really enjoyed helping us with the arrangements. It was a lot of fun and such a wonderful personal touch. It is one of our favorite memories from our wedding weekend. Maya was incredibly helpful throughout the entire process. She gave us great tips and realistic advice on making our own arrangements. We even got a test bucket a few weeks out to practice making arrangements in our centerpiece containers. Maya was flexible and responsive. We added some extra flowers at the last minute to decorate our cake. We would highly recommended Hellen Homestead to couples who want their wedding to reflect their local and sustainable values. -

Easy to work with and friendly
Maya Kosok made the process very easy, from consultation to delivery to setup of arrangements. The table settings, bouquets, and boutonnieres were exactly what we wanted. She is easy to work with and the price was right. -

We just requested a variety of seasonal flowers and greenery in any colors for DIY centerpieces and bouquets, and somehow Maya took only that and chose the most amazing and perfect options for us. There were so many more types of flowers than I expected we would get, and even some fun grasses and little chili peppers that couldn't have been more perfect! One of the best decisions we made for sure in terms of quality and budget.

She was super easy to work with and supplied us with the most beautiful variety of flowers. I gave her a few ideas on colors of flowers I liked. If you are going to do your own flowers and use a local farm, you have to be willing to accept any flowers they have ready and available for your date. I loved the wild look and loved supporting a local, sustainable farm! Thank you, Maya!!!
