Beautiful Music

Anna was accommodating and responsive to my emails. We wanted varied music for the prelude, processional/recessional and cocktail hour. Anna was happy to provide all types of music. The group was prompt, took time to set up properly in the space and provided a beautiful musical backdrop to the ceremony and reception. We highly recommend The Hill.

Excellent!

I didn't get a chance to hear too much of them as they played while my guests were being seated as well as during cocktail hour but I got several compliments about Hill Chamber Music from those in attendance. I would absolutely recommend them.

Loved the music!!

Hill Chamber Music was a great addition to our wedding! We really wanted Chamber Music for our ceremony, and hired a string trio. The trio arrived on time and were very professional. The music was phenomenal. We were able to select the music that we wanted. We highly recommend Hill Chamber Music!!

Unique and Memorable Music

Hill Chamber Music was a pleasure to have at our wedding. We hired the string trio to play at the ceremony and reception. The music was beautiful and much more unique and memorable than playing from a recording.

Excellent musicians!

Hill Chamber music provided both the string quartert for our ceremony and the pianist for the dinner service. They sounded beautiful, had a great selection of classic and modern songs, and added a true touch of class to our wedding! Thanks, Hill Chamber Music!

Thank you for everything!

We hired a string quartet to play for our wedding ceremony and cocktail hour. From the first encounter, Anna was so helpful in planning our day. The day of, the musicians were prompt and needed zero guidance - they were true professionals! I would highly recommend for anyone looking for a special touch to your day.

Hill Chamber Music played for both our ceremony and cocktail and we adored our trio! The music was excellent and beautiful. Our ceremony was short and used some traditional wedding songs, but we had mostly contemporary music at the cocktail hour (lots of The Beatles and some Journey!). They were fantastic! I highly recommend them!

Hill Chamber Music provided lovely music for our wedding! They are wonderful musicians, and great to work with. We had challenging weather conditions at the last minute that changed our original plan, but Anna helped us create an alternate plan that worked beautifully. Highly recommended!

My husband and I were are extremely happy that we were able to have Hill Chamber Music play at our wedding. I communicated back and forth several times with Anna, and she was always prompt, friendly, professional and helpful. She patiently guided me through the planning process for the ceremony music, and even agreed that the group would learn a new piece of music just for our wedding. On the day of the wedding, the ceremony was delayed because I had accidentally forgotten my veil at the house. Luckily the ladies from Hill Chamber Music stayed calm and continued to play as if nothing was wrong. The music was absolutely beautiful and really set the tone for our traditional and intimate winter wedding out in the countryside. We highly recommend Hill Chamber Music!

Working with Anna was a very pleasant experience. She helped design the exact ceremony music that I wanted. She was willing to learn new songs and searched for music to songs as I suggested them. Unfortunately, we never got to hear them b/c of the riots in Baltimore this year...but I feel the need to write a review b/c Anna was very professional and returned our deposit without question given the circumstances. You see the true character of a person/company/business during the rough times! I would without hesitation reach out to Anna for services or recommend her to a friend.

Hill Chamber music provided the perfect accompaniment for out wedding ceremony and cocktail hour. I wanted to have a specific song for when I walked down the aisle which wasn’t on their list of available selections, but they were able to learn it and it sounded perfect. I had trouble selecting other songs for the ceremony but Anna Harris was able to put together a combination that sounded great. All of our guests raved about the music and I would highly recommend Hill Chamber Music for any event. Their talent and professionalism are apparent.

Hill Chamber Music provided the highest quality of service and music for my wedding. I couldn't have wished for anything better. Anna Harris, the leader of the group, worked with me from the beginning to add personal touches to my ceremony. She was able to adjust the program in order to include my brother (a trumpet player) in the program as well. She expertly guided my music selections and was professional to the highest degree. Everything went without a hitch and I continue to hear about how much everyone enjoyed the ceremony and cocktail hour music. Hill Chamber Music has an extensive repertoire - it is impossible to NOT find something to please everyone. Great job!!

We chose Hill Chamber music for our fall theme wedding in October. They were very professional and outstanding musicians. We spoke many times before the big day in order to coordinate everything to the final detail. I received many positive comments from my guests as well. Hill Chamber Music did a beautiful job providing both our ceremony music and our cocktail hour entertainment for our daughter's wedding in Church Creek MD. I'm so glad that we decided to use them for both! It was perfect.

The music variety that Hill Chamber Music can play is amazing! We had such a great time visiting their website to hear selections of the pieces they can play. Anna was helpful in answering our questions and thankfully they have a great form that helps narrow down the number of pieces that need to be selected.

The ceremony was great and it was fun to hear them playing before I entered the room. And, even with the distraction of just having been married it was great hearing them play as we walked down the aisle at the end of the ceremony.

My husband and I used Hill Chamber Music for our ceremony. They were incredibly responsive, helpful and professional during the planning process and on the wedding day itself.

We checked out several different string groups and while there were many talented ones out there, it was difficult finding one that was reasonably priced as well. We were thrilled when we found Hill Chamber, they sounded great and were a great value!

The music at the ceremony was exactly what we had discussed and sounded beautiful. The timing of the music start and stopping points was also perfectly timed and executed by the musicians. We are incredibly happy with the service we received and received many compliments on the music.

We would absolutely work with Hill Chamber again and would recommend their services to others!

The music was beautiful and it was so easy working with these ladies. They provided suggestions and helped me with everything I asked of them. They are so professional and are truly great musicians. I had a String Trio play at my catholic wedding ceremony. Beautiful!

I hired a string trio for the wedding ceremony and they were wonderful. They played before and after the ceremony as well - my only regret is that I didn't get to hear much of the playing myself, since I was in another room waiting to walk down the aisle! They played our procession songs perfectly (Vivaldi's Spring for the mothers, then the Sleeping Beauty Waltz for the bridesmaids and flower girl, and I walked down to Canon in D), and they loved our choice of recessional - The Beatle's I Wanna Hold Your Hand (which is 'our song'). They did a fantastic job and I would highly recommend them.

We hired the Hill Chamber Music's String Trio for our wedding at the Ceresville Mansion and we were so thrilled with their performance.

During the planning process, Anna was warm, helpful and very flexible. They even purchased an arrangement for Light My Fire by the Doors for our Unity Candle lighting at our request. There were a number of guests who commented on this piece in particular later on and they were really impressed.

We had contemporary music played for the ceremony and, what I heard of it, was flawless. They are a great value and were the perfect musical accompaniment for our ceremony. It added a touch of class and I'm so glad we decided to go with live musicians. Our guests were very impressed, and we were very happy.

Hill Chamber Music did an excellent job for the wedding ceremony music and I was so happy with the choice of adding them to the wedding. I probably should have had them stay on to do the cocktail hr as well. They were very easy to work with and had a document that I could edit for the music entries. They had some recommendations in case I was stuck with thinking of a song for a certain area of the ceremony, which was helpful. On the day of, they were there playing music, but were almost hidden as to not be intrusive and involved in the wedding ceremony which was great. You heard the music, but did not necessarily see them. They were very easy to work with, provided a lot of help when needed and did a wonderful job on the day of. Would highly recommend.

Hill Chamber Music string quartet played for our ceremony and cocktail hour. They were easy to work with and sounded beautiful. As musicians, my husband and I were very specific with our music choices. They were able to play everything we requested and were even fine with collaborating with a harpist for the processional. Many guests commented on how much lovlier the ceremony was with the string quartet. They made it much more unique and personal!

Having a string trio at the wedding made it very special for me and my only complaint is that I didn't have a chance to listen to them for longer. If I had had the money, I would have booked them for not only my ceremony but my cocktail hour as well.

Anna was fantastic to work with and she was very responsive and helpful. Overall, they were definitely worth the money.

Anna from Hill Chamber Music was a perfect solo cellist for our wedding ceremony! I used to play cello and had a lot of ideas about what pieces I wanted played, several of which Anna correctly and delicately advised might not sound great on solo cello in our ceremony space. She patiently worked with me on a ceremony line up that we both felt great about. She came to our rehearsal, which was really helpful in terms of determining the timing of the pieces with the processional. On the big day, her beautiful sound really filled our large ceremony space. I highly recommend Anna and Hill Chamber Music!

My fiancé and I decided we wanted strings and a vocalist only two months before the wedding and we had no idea what songs we were interested in. Luckily another bride recommended Hill Chamber Music to us. They were SO helpful in giving us a list of songs and they also found a vocalist for us and were able to combine their contracts/payment. They performed BEAUTIFULLY at the ceremony and we could not have been happier with the music. THANK YOU Hill Chamber Music!

Hill Chamber Music was wonderful. They were extremely responsive and super easy to work with. One month before the wedding my parents decided that they wanted to add a trumpeter and they were completely flexible. I would also say that they are very fairly priced. My guests told me that the music provided before the ceremony was lovely. Anna, also helped my husband and I a great deal with picking out our ceremony music. The selections that we ended up with sounded beautiful.

We had a string trio from Hill Chamber Music for our wedding ceremony. They were excellent. I worked with Anna and she was super helpful. They arranged Red Hot Chili Peppers- Road Trippin and Coldplay- The Scientist for us for a nominal fee in addition to their usual costs. They also played Coldplay Viva la Vida which they already had an arrangement for. Everything sounded awesome. I just wish I walked slower so I could have heard more of The Scientist for my processional!

I would highly recommend Hill Chamber Music for your wedding. We had a string trio for the ceremony and they sounded amazing! Rebecca was super nice and had great suggestions for music where I wasn't sure what I wanted. We exchanged many emails as we had a singer that they would need to accompany as well. It worked out great as they practiced with the singer right before the ceremony. Very professional, responsive, and sounded great!

Fantastic! Rebecca is easy to coordinate with and has great ideas about timing the music and cues and such. Their website lists their repertoire, which also makes it easy for you to decide what music to select – I just went to YouTube and entered the music selections. Complete professionals that play amazingly well.

Hill Chamber Music provided the music for our ceremony and cocktail hour. The sound was amazing! All of our guests commented on how wonderful the quartet was and how much it added to the mood of the event having them there. Rebecca was very responsive to our inquiries about performing at our ceremony, well organized, and had great suggestions for songs when we weren't sure what to have played. The music sounded great, the quartet was affordable, and our guests loved having the live music. We highly recommend the Hill Chamber Music group for any event that could be enhanced by lovely string instruments!

Hill Chamber Music was very easy to work with, and everyone said that the music was beautiful. I only wish that I would have been able to hear more of it! The ceremony started a little late, but I was told that their music helped create an atmosphere of calmness and beauty in the ceremony space, so no one minded waiting. Those songs I did hear were beautifully performed, and overall I was very happy with their service. I would definitely recommend them to other brides.

Hill Chamber Music was THE PERFECT addition to our wedding day. We planned our wedding in 4 weeks, and sometimes being so quick, details can get away from you. They were there every step of the way - and even kept in close touch over the holidays!! The ladies of Hill Chamber Music did an awesome job providing a string trio and beautiful classical music for our wedding ceremony and cocktail hour. Hill Chamber Music was fantastic. We hired a trio for the ceremony and prelude and the first thing I noticed when I walked into the venue, was how glorious they sounded. I had chosen some pieces that were originally derived for a quartet and they were able to make it sound absolutely devine, despite only having a trio. We were referred to them by a friend and we are so grateful. They worked with us to turn songs into something that sounded beautiful for our violin and cello duo. I was introduced to Hill Chamber Music when attending a wedding at St. Ignatius Church in Baltimore. I entered the Church to the sound of beautiful baroque music. It set a magical tone for the ensuing ceremony. Impressed, I googled Hill Chamber Music, discovered their web site and contacted them regarding my own daughter's up coming wedding. From the first e-mail the correspondence was prompt, courteous and professional. The group offered an extensive music selection and made available a person to help with selection choices. I cannot say enough good things about these marvelous muscians. They arrived promptly for the ceremony, quietly set up and practiced. Amazingly they were able to time the music pieces to end and begin precisely with each ceremonial activity. Guest after guest raved about the beauty of the music. But for me, it was more than a melodious string harmony. The Hill Chamber Music had a transformative effect, changing our wedding from mere ceremony into a sacred experience where I believe if one listened closely enough, one could well hear the voice of angels.

Hill Chamber Music was great to work with. They worked with me to perform non-traditional wedding ceremony music which allowed me to personalize my wedding ceremony. They even changed plans at the last minute after some music that I ordered did not arrive in time. They were very responsive and extremely helpful throughout the planning process and on the day of our wedding! They were great!

Hill Chamber Music's string quartet performed at my wedding ceremony they were incredible to work with before the wedding, Rebecca the owner was extremely very flexible and was very reasonable with prices, you can tell she truly loves to perform. At the wedding they performed beautifully it was truly amazing, I loved walking down the aisle to their stunning sound. They performed perfect with zero flaws in timing. We had so many compliments on them and trust me with over 9 people in the grooms family having graduated from peabody and working in the music industry themselves thats HUGE. I would recommend Hill Chamber music to anyone who is looking for an AMAZING string quartet or any other string performers.

Hill Chamber was hired to play at my September 3rd wedding ceremony. They showed up on time and played beautifully! Received many compliments about there performance (as the bride, of course I wasn't able to enjoy until my entrance).
Very professional. Responded to all questions asked in a timely manner. Only vendor that you don't really get to speak with over the phone or face to face which causes a bride a little anxiety, however, due to the compliments I received from their performance; sounds like we really didn't need to.
If you are looking to hire a string trio and have a little faith that all will be better than you thought, please consider Hill Chamber Music!!

These ladies rocked at my wedding!!! So many guests thought they were fantastic and so did we. The trio played exactly what we had asked and the quality was beyond expectation. They even played a few songs that were not in their repertoir. They were so lovely and seamless throughout the whole evening and it really added something fantastic to the night.

They were wonderful to work with throughout the whole process, although towards the end somewhat delayed in their responses until I would follow up. They worked with us to review things up until the week before to make sure everything ran smoothly since we weren't doing a rehearsal.

We would recommend them over and over to anyone!

The string trio for my wedding added such an elegant touch. The music was beautiful and everything I had expected and wanted. I just wish I could have listened to them during the cocktail hour and had not been so busy! I would highly recommend them though :)

Hill Chamber Music provided a string quartet to play for our wedding - ceremony and cocktail hour - and did a superb job.

They willingly produced excellent adaptations of 3 "special" pieces of music for the occasion, were exceptionally friendly and flexible to endless minor tweaks to the ceremony itself and from the moment they played a few warm-up notes I could tell that we would be getting music of the highest quality.

Our wedding was held at The Cloisters, whose Victorian gothic ambience was perfect for the music, but I am sure they would be a wonderful addition to any venue. Perhaps the best compliment I can offer is to say that after the wedding, a wide diversity of guests (young and old) picked out the quartet for special praise amongst all the details of food, entertainment, ceremony etc.

Hill chamber Music was great! They sounded fabulous and were just what I expected. I requested for them to play the recessional with my organist, and they didn't get back to me about whether or not this was possible prior to the day of, but ended up being able to play it with my organist so it all worked out.

We hired Hill Chamber Music without any recommendation from people we knew. I was a bit nervous about not meeting them prior to our wedding. Although the group would come to our rehearsal, we were assured this was unnessary. Again, this made me nervous but they put my mind at ease. I was so excited to hear the music playing out our outdoor wedding. It helped set the perfect scene by the lake and gazebo. I had my heart set on a song that was not part of their repertoire. Anna was able to obtain the sheet music and play our song. Working with Hill Chamber was very easy. It amazed me that details could be handled through email and your dream wedding music come true. I would certainly use Hill Chamber in the future and highly recommend them.

They did a great job with the music! I wanted a lot of non-traditional music and that is what they played. My only wish is that they had more non-traditional music in their repertoire from which a bride could choose. Overall, I was very impressed with their talent!

I was so happy to find Hill Chamber Music. I used them as a string trio for my wedding ceremony, and I was not disappointed in the least. They sounded gorgeous, and Anna was always there to help out whenever necessary. I sent my selections, and she was always there to reassure me that they would ensure with my planner when everyone was walking in, walking out, etc. and they also ensured they knew the cues of when to begin playing certain parts of the ceremony. I am 100% happy with them, and would use them for other events. If you want a true touch of class and elegance to your ceremony or reception, I would wholeheartedly recommend Hill.

The music itself was beautiful in the chapel, and the executed everything perfectly with the ceremony. I would highly recommend this ensemble. I wish I could have been around to hear more of their music during the cocktail hour, but the wedding party was off taking pictures. All of our guests said they were great and loved the newer more modern music.

The ceremony music was well executed (even with all of our guests standing for the entire ceremony, blocking their view) and sounded great!

The music was great. We had a string trio for our ceremony. I gave a listing of songs to play and they did it. I could of used alittle more guidance in song selection but finally did some research on my own to come up with a music list. The music was great but being a bride, I didn't get to enjoy very much of it.

We selected Hill Chamber Music after looking at several other comparable string ensembles, and their hourly rate was better than most other ensembles we considered. The organizing and contact members Anna Harris and Rebecca Laird couldn't have been nicer, and were quite helpful as they offered their suggestions and guidance while we were selecting the music for our ceremony. They were responsive by phone and email in the weeks leading up to our wedding, and they showed that Hill Chamber Music had the flexibility (i.e., number of musicians, musical offerings) to develop with us, our vision for our day. On the day of our wedding, they were prompt, appropriately dressed, their performance was sublime and they were entirely professional. Hill Chamber Music provided the ceremony music for my wedding. They have a fantastic website and huge selection of music in their repertoire. I was looking for modern music with a classic string trio sound. During my initial contact with Anna Harris, all correspondence was via e-mail, she was on the ball. Answering all my questions, promptly and thoroughly. I booked them without a phone conversation or in-person meeting. I was looking for a little more guidance when it came to music help than I felt I received but everything turned out beautiful. I had to reach out to Anna to do all music selection follow up myself. In the weeks leading up to my wedding, she was quite hard to get a hold of. The only disappointing thing was the musicians walked into our venue and right past me. No one introduced herself to me as I stood there in my wedding dress, clearly the person who had hired them. I still have no idea if Anna was one of the musicians at my wedding or not. I guess the bottom line is - the showed up on time and they played beautiful music for the wedding. Everyone said the trio was a beautiful addition to the day. They clearly know their stuff and are professional musicians. The communication was a little disappointing.

Hill Chamber Music performed very skillfully for my June 2009 wedding. They were courteous, timely and satisfied every part of our agreement. They also gave me some ideas for pieces to use when it was apparent I didn't have much of a music plan, and helped me assess whether their chosen location would be appropriate. Their cost was reasonable for the market--about the same as most I contacted (although the options for an additional 15 minutes were quite rigid and had to be completely decided in advance). The only other thing I would say is that I had a very small wedding that didn't have an extremely set order/flow to things and this seemed to cause at least one of the two of them some concern. I'm sure things are easier with a very clear plan and I appreciate them not wanting any possible "error" to fall on them, but it seemed a bit stressful for them to deal with that situation, which then caused me a bit of stress.

My husband and I were very happy with Hill Chamber Music. We booked this group for our ceremony and cocktail hour music. Anna, the owner was very easy to work with. My only issue was that she was a bit slow to respond to emails sometimes. But I was very impressed when Anna was able to arrange a portion of a full orchestral piece that I requested for string quartet. I wasn't aware when I made the request that no arrangement existed for string quarter, but Anna made it work and it turned out beautifully. We were also very grateful that Anna and her group were able to play outdoors in late October. The weather ended up being pretty mild, but got chillier as the sun went down, but with the help of a heat lamp, they were able to play through! We received many compliments about the ceremony and cocktail hour music.

The coordinator for Hill Chamber was initially a bit non-responsive to our inquiries. The ability to select the music played, including special requests, was definitely a benefit and we decided to go with them anyway. Ultimately though, the performers were a bit off key - something even I noticed standing at the altar. Unfortunately, they are not among the vendors I would recommend from our wedding.

My husband and I hired the hill chamber music to play at our wedding ceremony. We gave the specifics as to what we needed...which was about 4 mins max of music. They were expensive but we were cutting it close to the day of so we went with it. They arrived played and left....they never made contact with either of us. You would think that if we paid them for a service that was at an hourly rate they would have let us know their arrival and departure time...about two weeks later we get an email that we own them over time. We paid them but voiced our concern and we got an email saying they never contact the bride or groom...they deal with wedding planners, the kicker is we didn't have one. We paid them and felt shafted! No respect or courtesy.
