Crystal did an awesome job customizing a look that fit my personality and was not afraid to take a risk with me. She is very educated on what products my hair needed to restore its health and shine and sent me home with instructions products and confidence. I would recommend High Voltage Hair to any of my girlfriends!

I'm clueless when it comes to hair, but Crystal is amazinggg! She fixed the most incredible Braid for my wedding day! I felt like a fairytale princess! My bridesmaids also looked beatiful with their braided styles. And I love Crystal's personality! She rocks.

Crystal did an amazing job on my hair and all my bridesmaids! She worked with all of our hair styles from extremely curly to stick straight. I loved that she could come to where you were getting ready to do our hair as well. I would highly recommend her to other brides looking for a hair stylist

Crystal, was so amazing to work with. She is one of the most talented and spunky people I've had the opportunity to meet. From our first appointment to my wedding day she felt like someone I've known for years. She was able to create such beauty so effortlessly. Crystal was wonderful to work with. My wedding party had different types and lengths of hair and she was able to give everyone a hair style that complemented their taste. She was on time, and flexible enough that she squeezed in a couple other women who wanted their hair done when they saw how great my bridemaids hair came out. I live in Pennsylvania and our communication was over email, she responded to every email in a timely manner and I was very happy with the results.

Crystal was awesome! I (the bride) did a hair trial with her and then she did my hair on the wedding day. After the hair trial, she made herself available for any ideas or thoughts that I had. I shared those with her and she incorporated them perfectly on the day of the event. The hair style ended up looking even better than I could have imagined. Crystal has a great personality; is very professional and was very easy to deal with. I highly recommend her for anyone who needs a hair expert.

Crystal has incredible skills with up-dos. It was unreal to watch her get through everyone on my wedding day so quickly while making sure everyones hair looked flawless. I seriously loved my hair for the big day and was so happy I had chosen Crystal for the job. Both my little sisters and myself have a lot of hair to work with and she did such a great job dealing with it all :) She is also super easy, relaxed and fun to have around; on a day that some people could make stressful she did the complete opposite.

Crystal did an amazing job I had a huge wedding party and she did each and everyone of my girls hair and they all looked amazing and everyone loved there hair. Even better she did the most beautiful half up half down hairstyle on me and I am still getting comments and praises about my Hair since the wedding which was the beginning of may and it's almost June. I also got married on the beach which made it quite windy and my hair held up throughout the entire wedding and still looked fantastic at the end of the night. I highly recommend Crystal she does an incredible job and is very creative an innovative with her hairstyles.

Crystal was absolutely amazing from the very beginning. Show her a picture of a hairstyle you like and she will do it! Not only does she do amazing up do's but I had Crystal do my highlights and haircut multiple times before the wedding as well and they looked great. She is very professional and super fast! I had 9 girls getting their hair done on my wedding day and she was done in 6 hours. And they all looked simply amazing. I HIGHLY recommend High Voltage Hair to all brides! She is easy to get a hold of and easy to keep in contact with!

Crystal did such a wonderful job on my hair and my bridesmaid's hair. We received so many compliments and our hair held up really well all day. Poor Crystal had her hands full on my big day! She handled it all well though and delivered a gorgeous style that lasted 2 days! It was exactly what I wanted and helped me truly feel the most beautiful I have ever felt in my life. I wish I could add pictures on here because I feel like that would do better justice as it speaks for itself! Thanks Crystal!

Crystal was extremely friendly & engaging with my daughter. Her flexibility was above and beyond when she was willing to do one of my daughter's friend's hair at the last minuet. Crystal was great! I was referred to her by a friend and I'm so glad! All of the girls hair (including mine) was so beautiful! She was able to get everything done in an efficient manner and she was fun to be around before the big day. She was so sweet and even brought champagne for us girls to get our party started. Crystal was amazing! She was very easy to reach via email while we discussed what I wanted my up-do to look like. She was on time the day of my wedding and very prepared with special goodies and a cheery attitude. I wasn't sure all the way up until my wedding day if anyone other than just my maid of honor and I would have our hair done. She said "no problem" and remained flexible. Most importantly, our hair turned out phenomenal! I had so many people come up to me to tell me how great my hair looked! I felt beautiful on my wedding day and it was partially due to Crystal's great work! I would recommend her to anyone.

Crystal did my hair for my wedding and I couldn't have been happier with the results. She came out to our venue and was amazingly quick at finishing all five of our up-dos. They were exactly what each girl wanted! In addition to being perfect every way, these updos stayed in place for the entire evening and even withstood some serious dancing. Crystal was also a huge help with keeping my stress level low by making jokes to ease tension and being so supportive to my momentary bridezilla moments. I am so happy I chose her as my stylist and will recommend her to anyone with an upcoming wedding!!!

I was referred to Crystal through my make-up specialist. I'm so happy with the results of my hairstyle. Crystal came to my hotel while I was getting ready for my wedding. It made the experience better not to travel.
Crystal is extremely professional & was able to take the vision I saw for my wedding day and make it a reality. The consultation ahead of time made me even more comfortable with her.
The day of the wedding my 2 bridesmaids & mom told her/or showed a picture of what they wanted , and she was able to deliver excellent results. I was impressed with the time it took to do 4 wedding do looks.
I got married on the spirit of Norfolk with hot weather & winds and my wedding hair stayed flawless throughout the night! Everyone commented on how beautiful my hair was and I had no problem saying "crystal Casey from high voltage hair did this!". I cannot say enough wonderful things about her. She's got an amazing talent and I will use her again for any other event I attend. I was a happy bride!

Crystal did an amazing job on my hair for my bridal portraits. The only regret I have is not getting her to do my hair on my actual wedding day.
After researching what I wanted I showed Crystal and that's what she gave me just way better. As for her professionalism, it was impeccable. I've never had anything but that from her. In fact I was the one running behind schedule but Crystal happily stayed longer than scheduled to accommodate me. I'd totally recommend her to my friends.

-Maybe it's because I've had my hair dyed & updo'ed since I was in High School, but not washing your hair before is a given....

Crystal was very prompt and professional as well as really fun to work with.

I had a pretty good idea of how I wanted my hair to be, but she made it even better. She was creative and enthusiastic - and my hair looked awesome!

I found Crystal several months ago to be our mobile sylist for my VA Beach wedding and she was extremely prompt in e-mailing back and forth and working with me as I am several hours away. Her prices are very reasonable and I did shop around some but her prices were definitely one of the best and the service was not at all lacking. She followed our contract to a tee and was very easy to work with.

My wedding was at noon and she came at 6AM and was a fun addition to our chaotic group in the suite. She was fast and efficient and did such an amazing job on my mother's hair that no one even recognized her! My mom was so thrilled and she received a million compliments. Even all my bridesmaids (most of whom have short hair) came out amazing, and not one of them knew what they even wanted. She had no hesitation to say what she thought would be best for your hair and she was never wrong. As the bride, I gave her a very vague idea of what I wanted and she ran with it and my hair came out amazing, and exactly what I hoped it would be. She finished up early which gave us plenty of time to focus on the rest of our preparations for the day.

Crystal was very professional in that she responded to the tone of the group (laid back, fun atmosphere, instead of overly serious and stressed out!) and was very fun to work with, instead of making us uncomfortable. We never once felt we had to act differently because she was in the room, and she was incredibly nice and obviously knew what she was doing. I would recommend Crystal highly and would not hesitate to use her again for any of my hair styling or coloring needs.

First off, a mobile hair stylist is priceless! She was so accomodating. Starting with a trial run and hanging out throughout the ceremony to do touch-ups, Crystal took such pride in her work and it showed. I had many comments on how great my hair looked. This girl knows what she's doing!

Every little girl always envisions their wedding to be a fairy tale. Well, Crystal with High Voltage hair, made me feel like a princess with my fairy tale wedding! She came to my mother's house, where my bridal party got ready. Which really took the stress off of trying to get to a hair appointment and running here and there, on day when one is already anxious and nervous. We got to relax and she did an amazing job. She even did a practice run beforehand, so I knew what to expect when the day arrived. Not only an amazing stylist, but a professional that made me feel special on a day that I will never forget!

Crystal was fantastic the day of my wedding. She arrived on time, bright and early, to start working on six heads of hair! She also managed to squeeze in a styling for one of my wedding guests at the last minute. She also included a free styling for my niece who was the flower girl. I think everyone was happy with their styles and all of them looked beautiful and my hair held nicely all day.

Crystal is incredible! I was needing to find a hair stylist (since mine decided to back out 3 weeks before my wedding). I found Crystal on craigslist and was a little nervous about trying someone new -- especially right before my wedding. However, Crystal has an amazing personality and incredible skill and talent! She's very creative and know's what will look best on each individual. After meeting her, listening to her recommendations and feeling how confident she is I completely trusted her! Crystal goes above and beyond for the client (drove up to DC from Virginia Beach ...on a Friday!) and stayed with us for 5 hours. Crystal only came up to give me and some of my bridesmaids a trial run for the wedding hair, but ended up cutting/coloring my hair since I trusted her so much! I don't remember the last time my hair looked this good! I am extremely happy with my cut/color and updo for the wedding. Thank you Crystal!

Crystal is AMAZING with hair. All my bridesmaids had stunning updos that were all one of a kind. Both mother had their hair done and were completely happy and their curls didn't fall the entire night. My hair too was phenomenal. She did a great job.

Update: Crystal has addressed my concerns via private e-mail correspondence. She was very professional and I was pleased with the outcome.

I was also a bridesmaid who received Crystal's services. Thank goodness our bride was so easy-going and was more concerned about making sure everyone else was happy (including us bridesmaids, but also the photographer and Crystal herself) than about having a stress-free day herself.

I will say I was extremely pleased with the hairstyle I received, I thought it looked lovely and it stayed put throughout the whole reception. A+ for her work.

What I found extremely disappointing, however, was Crystal's lack of professionalism. She was late arriving. She was snotty to everyone. She swore a -TON- during the session and made several negative remarks to the girls about their hair (the length, the texture, whether they washed it, the difficulty of styling it, etc).

Overall I was very impressed with her work - she's a very talented stylist - but her personal conduct needs a LOT of help. I left feeling insulted on behalf of my friends and the bride for the blight on the morning that was working with Crystal.

I found Crystal here on WeddingWire with two positive reviews and decided she would be one of a few I would check out. Most salons were a bit pricey and did not offer the relaxed idea of them coming to me like Crysta did. Because of her my bridesmaids and I were able to stay in my hotel room the whole day and relax while crystal did a wonderful job styling our hair. She was reasonably price, and was willing to work long distance with me since I live in another state.
As to some of the other reviews from bridesmaids, they are for my wedding, so let me clarify. The reason I gave her a 4 out of 5 with professionalism has to do with her language and the way she made my bridesmaids feel. I personally was fine with her being 15 minutes late, because to me there is no reason to worry until after 30 minutes of waiting. But if my friends feel that they were offended by having her say that she hated their hair, or would swear at their hair, then I have to give my support to them. They all admitted to loving their styles, but a wedding day should not be full of needless stress. If Crystal had just been more careful of what she was saying, or how she could have said things, then there would not have been such animosity.
I have nothing personal with Crystal, nor do I want to tarnish her wonderful skills. I felt very beautiful on my day and do not regret hiring Crystal for it. I only regret how she made my friends feel.

Crystal was a great vendor to work with. She is extremely talented and efficient with her time. We had 11 girls to do and she completed everyone within 4-5 hours by herself! I was crazy about the hair style she did for me! As a bride, obviously, you want everything to be perfect. I couldn't have asked for a better hairstylist on the most important day of my life :-) Crystal comes highly recommended in my book!

I had a ridiculous bridal party of 8 BMs, 1 MOH, 1 FG and myself - so Crystal had her hands full. She did amazing, and even had an assistant come help her to be sure everything was completed in the allotted time. Crystal was friendly and is reasonably priced for weddings. I would recommend her to anyone and everyone!

Crystal's work is AMAZING! I got so many compliments on my beautiful updo from the wedding :) As her portfolio shows, she is very talented when it comes to unique styles, especially with braiding and twists. I could not have been happier with her work. She is a blast to be around, incredibly fast at what she does, and even brings an awesome little gift for her brides and their bridal party.
In an effort to provide a truly helpful review, I will explain the two areas I docked points on. I had a few younger bridesmaids whose mother decided not to have their hair done after I had signed the contract, as she felt the price was a little high for 11 and 14 year old girls (price was same for all bridesmaids, regardless of hair length or age). I tried to get Crystal to drop these from the scheduled services, but she wouldn't allow any wiggle room from what I had signed. So advice for brides, be absolutely sure you know who you need hair for before signing the contract.
Otherwise, I highly recommend her if you want your hair to look FABULOUS :)

I rated 4 stars, not because of the service, but because I'm not trying to bring your review down anymore, and there is no place where I can respond to your comments, so I have to do it here.

You're right, I'm not the bride, my friend Kim was, but I was a bridesmaid who paid for your services and I am planning my own wedding so I don't really feel that that makes my review any less valid.

If you and Kim decided on the bun then that's fine, that was a miscommunication on our part. The hair turned out lovely. And the small talk and banter was fine, no one wants an awkward silence.

Traffic is not an excuse for being late, especially when you give yourself an self-imposed 30 MINUTE time window. You live in Hampton Roads, you know what the traffic is like, it's not an excuse. I work in a hospital, and if I was 45 MINUTES late... I'd be fired, or even if I was 15 minutes late if you look at it from the low side, If I did that 3 times I'd be fired. Maybe it's because I'm a punctual person, but I think it's disrespectful, and for a bride, it is very stressful on her wedding day. Considering that we all made sure that we were there by 10:30 because we weren't sure when you were going to show up, it's pretty inconsiderate to be late. If I had been the bride I would have wanted you there AT 10 AM not sometime between 10 and 10:30. That's not how businesses work.

Even more so than being late, was the unprofessionalism. I could have gotten past the lateness. If I tell you that I didn't wash my hair, then I didn't wash my hair. I'm not going to lie to you about something so insignificant, so don't keep asking me the same question like you expect a different answer. I was in another friends wedding three weeks prior to this, washed my hair at 6am, the hair stylist came at 8am, and she did a much more elaborate hairstyle than the one I had for Kim's wedding, and she had no issues what-so-ever with my hair, maybe it comes down to experience, I don't know.

You came in to the hotel room like you really didn't want to be there from the start, you insulted me, you insulted another bridesmaid, there is no excuse for the unprofessionalism. EVEN OUR PHOTOGRAPHER COMMENTED ON THE LACK OF PROFESSIONALISM

She is a psychopath

I recently visited the salon and unfortunately, my experience was not up to par. The service felt rushed and the staff seemed a bit disorganized. I had higher expectations based on previous visits. And she totally has some thing going in her mind not realistic all the time.
Please stay away.

Crystal was not prompt, professional or easy going at all. She tried to force a consultation for all of the bridesmaids and wanted to charge an additional $50 for it. We all requested a simple french twist hairstyle because after much emailing back and forth other styles seem to be too difficult. We wanted her to be there at 10am and she informed us that she would arrive between 10:30 and 11, and then she didn't even show up intil 11:15. She complained the entire session about whether we had washed our hair, or left it dirty as she requested, and how difficult it was to style each of our hair. I heard the phrase "Jesus Christ" more times that morning than when I used to go to church as a kid. Completely unprofessional and very difficult to work with. In the end we didn't even get the hairstyle that we wanted, no ones hair even remotely resembled a french twist. The end result was pretty, but not what we had asked for and not really worth the hassle it took to get there.

horrible experience, she took my deposit, never issued me a refund, canceled my appointment. she wasted my money, wasn't professional at all. she refused to refund my deposit, despite her canceling and forcing me to take her to court. I wouldn't use her service ever or recommend it to my worst enemy. unless you want to get your money stolen.
