Highly Recommend High Tone!

We had an excellent experience with High Tone! Our DJ was Jacob and he did an amazing job. We had multiple people tell us our reception music was the best they've heard! High Tone (and Jacob) made the process smooth and exceeded our DJ expectations. I highly recommend them!

High tone nailed it

High Tone Entertainment was a great choice for our wedding, and provided the perfect soundtrack for our big day. From the start, High Tone's portal made it easy to build out the sound for our wedding, including 'Must Play' songs, 'Do Not Play' songs, and even provided suggestions. We used two DJs: Peter handled the ceremony, and Jon handled the reception. Both were professional, punctual, and had great communication.

DJ Jon Young, in particular, did a great job as emcee - keeping our reception flowing nicely, and making sure our guests were happy and engaged. The dance floor was full almost the entire evening, with back to back crowd favorites, and a crescendo of Don't Stop Believing to get us ready for the sendoff.

The soundtrack of our wedding was so important for setting the right vibe, and High Tone nailed it!

Fun + Flexible! Great DJ, Lighting, and Photobooth!

High Tone was lovely to work with! I was originally told that Josh wasn't available to DJ our wedding because he takes time off during the holidays, but then he decided to DJ our wedding! How sweet is that?! Forever grateful!!

The team was kind, easy-going, and responsive. I had many questions, and I took a lot of time to make decisions. The High Tone team never rushed me or pushed me to do anything. They were incredibly patient and understanding.

For the wedding itself, we had two officiants and multiple readers during our ceremony. Josh did a beautiful job making sure that the audio worked smoothly. I've been in so many situations in life where audio doesn't work right - not this time! Wooo! Thank you, Josh, for making everything so seamless!

For the reception, the dance floor was full until the last song of the night. That's the best I could ask for! I should have emphasized this part more to Josh so not his fault, but for my dance with my mom, we choreographed it so that it started exactly when the song started. Josh started playing it as we walked on the dance floor, so we needed to start over. Mainly putting that detail here so that other people know to talk more about their dances with Josh!

High Tone also did our photo booth and lighting. Photo booth went great! My mom has mentioned multiple times how much she loved it. Josh even printed his own photo and put it in our guestbook... loved that surprise!

For the lighting, it looked beautiful. My partner and I went back and forth on whether or not we wanted the lighting because string lights can really add up! However, we are so glad we decided to do it. I think it really made a difference with the space. The only feedback I would give is that I wish I knew that there would be big cables coming down from the ceiling. My coordinator had to move some things around to hide the cables, and I wasn't expecting the setup to look different than the original vision when I arrived at the venue. I would have liked to plan more for that situation, but in the end, it's not the biggest deal.

Lastly, I've never really had anyone express to me how much a tip means to them, but after our wedding, Josh made sure to give us a thoughtful thank you for our thank you. It meant a lot to us, and it felt good to know that our contribution meant something to him and his team. I think that moment just really shows how Josh is so thoughtful. He takes the time to talk to his clients, even after the wedding. Highly recommend High Tone!

Dance Floor Was Packed All Night!

Josh at High Tone Entertainment is amazing! He filled in for our wedding when we had a last-minute cancellation, and I cannot thank him enough. The thing we cared most about at our wedding was that we had a great dance floor, and Josh absolutely delivered. He had all age ranges dancing - friends, parents, kids. You could tell that he was paying attention to the dance floor, and would transition in and out of songs as the dance floor crowd changed. At one point, we noticed he was playing more old-school songs, and we looked up and realized that was because the parents had all migrated to the dance floor at once, and he noticed and adjusted! It was perfect. Our dance floor is one of the best memories I will have of our wedding. Thank you, Josh!

High Tone entertainment was a pleasure to work with. From the very beginning, working with Josh Ray was so easy. He knows the wedding business, anticipated needs and helped prepare us the whole way. They are easy to work with! There is a portal where you can add songs you want/don't want played, can create your own playlist or leave it up to your assigned DJ. I also believe their pricing to be more than fair! Our assigned DJ, Nik Lizcano touched base with us leading up to the wedding. He was such a good resource and very thorough on our final details call. We have nothing but great things to say for High Tone & Nik. Thank you for making our wedding day great!

Professional Industry Experts!

HighTone and Josh were essential to making our day what it was! They provided a great deal of our services. Best decision we made - hiring High Tone Entertainment

If you are looking for an entertainment extraordinaire that is professional, yet personable - look no further than the folks at High Tone Entertainment.

We hired Josh and his team back in 2019 for our March 2020 wedding. As the wedding date approached, so did Covid and we were ultimately forced to postpone our nuptials.

I was already happy with my decision to hire High Tone, but the way that they handled the entire postponement with such grace, kindness and compassion left me even more convinced that we had made the right choice.

Unfortunately as 2020 came and went, we were hit with a LOT of changes… including a venue change 30 days out. This resulted in MANY emails, phone calls and texts back and forth with Josh as we had to literally reconfigure our entire wedding. Josh, once again… the real MVP, worked with us with patience and understanding as we switched out… EVERYTHING. I’ve heard a lot of horror stories from other couples this year and vendors who have been less than accommodating and I was SO relieved to find that we had ZERO issues.

As our new date in September approached, we entrusted Josh with the music and entertainment for our ceremony, cocktail hour, our reception, the photo booth, uplighting and a live stream of our ceremony.

We were able to create a custom photo booth frame that matched our invitations and all our decor, which was SO fun and a wonderful special touch. Josh also handled making sure the lighting in the room was perfect and I am THRILLED we made the decision to add uplighting to our wedding.

In typical 2020 fashion, we had a very last minute heartbreaking situation of my sister/maid of honor not being able to make it to the wedding and Josh didn’t hesitate or skip a beat to jump in and arrange to Zoom her in so she could still deliver her speech. It was something I had not even considered until Josh suggested it and I am SO grateful he took the initiative to take action and make this possible for us. I was able to literally sit back and let him coordinate with my sister directly and didn’t have to stress or worry about a THING!

On the music side, I can’t sing his praises enough. When it came down to the wire, I was too mentally exhausted to think of songs we wanted to hear at our reception. So instead I gave him the vibe we wanted and said “you’re the professional - I’ll let you do your thing. Roll with it, feel the vibe and keep the dance party going.” Josh DELIVERED. We had the MOST fun and he had all the guests on the dance floor. We had big range of ages in attendance and it was really important to me that the older folks would have just as much fun as the young kids… and they did.

Our wedding was over a month ago and I am still getting family and friends telling me how much fun they had and how the DJ was SO GOOD.

I typically don’t write reviews, but I couldn’t miss the opportunity to let other couples know how fantastic High Tone is. Best advice I can give is this: book them and trust in their ability to do their jobs!

The Most Amazing DJ!!

Hire them now! High Tone Entertainment (and Josh specifically) were recommended to me by my wedding venue manager. I lived in a different state so I needed to do all my vendor interviews over the phone, and when I connected with Josh for the interview, we were on the phone for 1.5 hours! I got off the phone and told my fiancé I found the guy and didn't need to look any further.

Josh was professional, very responsive, willing to work with my budget and gave suggestions on what could work best for my wedding. I told him one of my wishes for my wedding is that people stayed on the dance floor all night...well I got my wish. My dance floor was packed the entire night, no one wanted to leave it because there were great songs being played one right after the other. I had soooo many compliments on my DJ (Josh) from guests after the wedding!

High Tone Entertainment made it so easy for me to make a list of songs I wanted to have played or not played through their portal, it was so helpful! I also was running into an issue with my first dance song being too long, and Josh was kind enough to work his magic and cut a new version for us so our dance wasn't too long, but didn't cut out at a weird point! It was perfect!

The photo booth was also a hit! It was so fantastic to have to only deal with 1 company vs 2 in regards to DJ & photo booth. Guests loved it and I was able to get copies of all pictures taken throughout the night. Brendan (the attendant) was also AMAZING! So friendly and patient with guests (especially as the drinks started really flowing as the night went on).

Josh (and High Tone) are seriously the best ever and I would very highly recommend them to anyone in need of a DJ! Thank you Josh and High Tone for keeping the energy electric, fun, never ending at my wedding. You truly helped make it the absolute best night!!

Absolutely amazing

Josh and High Tone Entertainment were absolutely fantastic. My husband and I went back and forth on whether we wanted a band or a dj for our wedding. I have been to plenty of weddings that have big bands that set such a fun tone for the reception. Let me be the first to say: NO NEED to spend your budget on a band....High Tone Entertainment was FANTASTIC, so much fun, and so incredibly easy to work with. I was able to set a portal up online, enter songs I wanted/didnt want, and pay all in one place. What I didn't realize before planning a wedding is that without a DJ, you really need someone to do some MC work throughout the night. So, by hiring a DJ, you kinda hit two in one. Josh played our ceremony music, worked with the wedding planner to cue at all the right times. He had a playlist for our cocktail hour. And then he introduced us to our reception and played awesome music, as well as MC'd any directions regarding food service, cake cutting, guest book signing, etc. I did not even realize how helpful a PROFESSIONAL would be for this. Do not just let your best friends date be in charge of the MCing. Additionally, they offer a service to live stream your event. In the midst of covid, this was a necessary add on, and it was so nice to have the technical pieces taken care of so seamlessly. Josh and his team at High Tone are WELL worth it. Truly, and shockingly, my DJ was my most complimented vendor - and I had stellar vendors. Cannot recommend enough.

Helped make our day perfect

I cannot stress enough why you need to book High Tone Entertainment for your special event. They were fantastic. I had to change my wedding date with them because of Covid and it was a breeze. They also live streamed my service for friends and family who couldn't attend the wedding. They only had thirty minutes to set up and were so professional. Entertainment for Hours!

High Tone is the best one-stop-shop for your entire entertainment needs for any event. They recently helped us with our wedding and supplied EVERYTHING...the music, the dance floor, the gobo and the photo booth. I honestly cannot say if our guests had more fun dancing or partying in the photo booth - they kept raving about both the whole time! So flexible and easy to work with!

High Tone Entertainment was one of our favorite vendors to work with for our wedding! When Covid started making things messy and we had to drastically change all our plans to keep people safe while still honoring this important event in our lives, Josh Ray jumped into action and started brainstorming ideas. In the end, they were able to provide us with an excellent quality livestream of the event, a Zoom call following the ceremony so that we could see the faces of our friends and family, sanitation stations, as well as great DJ skills. Amazing Live-Streaming/Virtual Guest Chat

Josh Ray and the team with High Tone Entertainment made our wedding day more special than we could have imagined during the Covid-19 pandemic. With family and friends limited, High Tone Entertainment enabled us to share our intimate ceremony virtually with HD live-streaming and then interact with all the people we care about via a private Zoom meeting. The virtual guests LOVED it as they were able to leave comments for the bride and groom while also visiting with one other! I highly recommend doing this for any wedding or event moving forward even after the pandemic is long gone. The live-stream/zoom call duo allows the hosts to cut down on guest count, include family and friends who can’t physically attend, AND we got to watch/relive our wedding ceremony and guest zoom chat the next day through a private link! High Tone Entertainment was very professional and kept a low profile while providing smooth, friendly, and high quality service. Knowing what I know now, I would have been strongly disappointed to have gone through the whirlwind of the wedding evening and not gotten to share it virtually nor have live and genuine documentation that High Tone provided. Full dance floor all night

We hired Josh Ray from High Tone Entertainment for our wedding and we're so glad we did! From the beginning he was incredibly communicative and always quick to initiate and/or respond to phone calls and emails. We also utilized the easy online portal to make the decisions about the night's playlist, and Josh did a fantastic job of blending our indie rock sensibilities with more pop-friendly songs that had everyone, young and old, on the dance floor literally all night long. High Tone was a vendor we barely even had to think about leading up to and during our wedding day because we knew they had it under control with their experience and professionalism. So easy and great to work with!

Nik was great!

Nik was our DJ and he did a fantastic job. We had people dancing at our wedding all night long! Perfect!!!!

We booked High Tone Entertainment, at the VERY LAST minute, to provide the music for our daughter's wedding ceremony at the fabulous Allenbrooke Farms (Spring Hill, TN). Josh, from High Tone, was great to work with! He provided ceremony music suggestions & was calm & kind about last minute details. We ended up going with a string duo, violin & cello. I am sad to say I do not know the names of the excellent musicians from High Tone but I can say with certainty that they were wonderful!! They sat off to the side of the ceremony location and unobtrusively provided an incredibly beautiful & lyrical element to the ceremony. They were the ninjas of classical musicians--quietly arrived ahead of time, set up with no fan fair, played the 30 minutes before the ceremony, during the ceremony and for the processional without me (the MOB) ever registering that they were there. I only knew that we had the most amazing string music that magically added the perfect element to the ceremony. Our guests were enthralled with the music and the performers. We had the most professional and lovely experience with Josh and High Tone Entertainment. I cannot recommend this booking agency highly enough!!!!

Such a fun choice!

Josh Ray & his team at High Tone Entertainment are rockstars! My daughter just got married on January 5. She wanted a special look at the venue and we started exploring vendors for lighting. We are so fortunate to have found Josh and High Tone Ent. He made some suggestions about up lighting and met us not only once but twice at the venue! He shared photos and gave us his creative advice. To top it off he suggested the sparkle fountains for the grand exit —- well, after the venue looked so amazing what could top it? The sparkle fountains!!! Don’t just get 2 get 4. Great music

First of all, I’m from the Jersey Shore, the land of DJ’s, so I thought it was going to be hard to find a company that matches my standards. High Tone went above and beyond to make everything exactly as we (mostly I 🤪) wanted. We had Brandon and he did a fantastic job! He blended the music seamlessly and played everything we requested and also added songs that went along with what we like. I wanted our wedding to be a party and have people dancing at all times, and that’s what Branden made sure if. He even got up during a few songs to bust some moves. This company far exceeded my expectation. I highly recommend!

Amazing, amazing amazing!

Josh took the time to really understand what me and my husband wanted as far as lighting and music selections. Not only did he make our vision come to life, he exceeded all of our exceptions. He even worked with and coordinated with another one of our wedding vendors, (an Egyptian zaffa group we hired from out-of-state) which was quite the task since they their music had to be played right on time--Josh was beyond professional and made the most complicated of tasks a breeze. And, as if that isn't enough, he has great ENERGY--our guests were really complimentary of him and how he was able to read the crowd and hype them up. Look no further if you are looking for a DJ who is organized, professional and does a wonderful job. Thank you High Tone Entertainment for making our special day perfect and seamless. PS--if you're looking for a little extra surprise for your guests or for a really cool send off, get the indoor sparklers--they were a huge hit!

Great Music and MC

Josh was super flexible and super supportive leading up to the wedding. The online portal allowed us to pick the songs we wanted and the sit down meeting let us have a chance to get to know Josh. He is awesome and all of our guests thought he was amazing.

High Tone Ent. is the absolute best decision you'll make!!

Josh was highly recommended by one of our family friends, on top of being on the preferred vendor list for our venue. I cannot even begin to rave about how great it was to work with him-- he's so attentive to details from day one, and works to really build relationships with his clients throughout the wedding planning process. He was one of the first things that we booked and he spoke to us for over an hour on the phone answering all our questions, reviewing packages, talking about all the tiny things that make wedding day over the top before we even signed the contract. His client portal is so useful for making plans, adding songs for playlists, making notes, etc. We gave him free reign on some of our song choices because we simply couldn't make any more decisions and he ran with it and chose excellent songs! He honored our requests, did some extra special dances just for inside jokes and good fun-- which just made the day even more special. We had so many people comment on the fact they'd never seen so much dancing and fun at a wedding as we had at ours. I enjoyed talking to him each time we chatted and hope that we need a DJ in the future just to work with him again! You will not regret this decision- he truly adds some magic to the day!!

We also booked the string trio for our ceremony music and they were excellent as well! Josh coordinated all of those details himself and it was exactly what we wanted.

We first contacted Hightone Entertainment by referral. Throughout the entire 5-month planning process, Josh, the business owner, and Sam, the D.J., were very responsive, knowledgeable, professional and smart. We not only selected its D.J. service, but also chose the String Trios during our wedding ceremony and uplighting service at our reception. In short, professionalism, knowledge, communication and the day-of performance/service made our wedding day more perfect, fun, joyous and memorable. Another good thing is that, Hightone Entertainment is very caring and respectful to cultural manner. Josh and Sam were very committed to providing the best experience for us by asking appropriate questions, offering flexibility and delivering excellence. We feel very pleased working with them!

Amazing to work with!!

Cody was our DJ. He was very professional, kept to the timeline we wanted and was super flexible when we wanted to change a few things in the middle of our big day. My family and friends LOVED the variety of music he played and the fact that he so willingly took requests. Best DJ I've Ever Seen - Made Our Wedding Awesome!

I very enthusiastically write this review - we hired High Tone Entertainment and worked with Josh Ray for our October 2018 wedding reception, and it was the best decision we made in regards to the entire event. Prior to the wedding, Josh was extremely attentive in answering our questions/providing suggestions, and the website High Tone uses makes it easy to pick/preview songs, capture reception plans, make payments, and organize reception structure. At the wedding, Josh was the best DJ I've ever seen - and I've hired many DJs for dances, parties, and events in my life. He had the ENTIRE crowd dancing (and our wedding was in the afternoon - so not necessarily a given that that'd happen without a great DJ) and played a perfect mix - and in a perfect order - of songs. More importantly, he was extremely, extremely professional and helped move the reception along through dinner, organized dances, toasts, etc. I can't describe enough how good Josh is at making a reception flow smoothly, and for those of you planning a wedding, that's as important a part of hiring a DJ as there is. I've never seen anyone do it better. Additionally, High Tone provided beautiful uplighting for our venue and we also used their photo booth, which was a HUGE hit for our guests - of all ages! If you want a smooth reception, great music, fair price, and a wonderful planning experience - go with Josh and High Tone.

Cody with Hightone was the DJ/MC for our September 2018 wedding at Green Door Gourmet. We also used the High Tone String Duo for the ceremony and the whole process was so seamless. Both Josh and Cody were lovely to work with, and the music at our reception was *perfect.* The dance floor was full all night, just like we wanted and everyone is still talking about what a great time they had!

I cannot give them high enough ratings. They exceeded all expectations! Even though I contacted them really close to my wedding date, we got the most exceptional service. Josh actually took time to visit the venue and give his professional advice on what would make our wedding incredible. It was really helpful and couldn't have imagined thinking through those details alone. And then day of... everything was perfect! The lighting, the monogram projected on the wall, the lighting on the cake, the "Non-Pyro" Sparkler exit... I couldn't have imagined it better, and they took care of everything! I would HIGHLY recommend them, for any and all events. You can tell they are very experienced, creative and visionary... It was inspiring to dream up what our wedding could be with Josh and his skills -- AND IT WAS ALL THAT AND MORE!

I hired Josh Ray with High Tone Entertainment to help with planning my 50th Birthday Bash. Josh provided us with a Photo Booth which was a HUGE hit at the party! Guests loved the Accessories and hand held Signs in the Photo Booth. He also provided us with Lighting and some fabulous décor ideas for the party. We lit up the columns at Belle Meade County Club in bright PINK which had never been done before! The end result was spectacular! The party was a PINK OUT Party! No black balloons for this 50 year old gal! I highly recommend hiring Josh and High Note Entertainment for your next party!

We hired High Tone Entertainment as our DJ for our outdoor tented wedding reception. Josh Ray and Brandon Brimm were professional, accommodating, responsive, and so fun to work with! During our initial vendor meeting they both quickly got a feel for our personalities and music taste. They also provided an online music portal with a private account to help plan and coordinate our day of events and music we'd like to play for each event and through out the night. I had specific songs that I wanted played for sentimental reasons as well as songs I preferred not be played at all, although their music collection is large and expansive there were 3/4 songs not listed that were on my must play list. Brandon was so accommodating and was able to find and play the requested songs! This was our first time planning an event/wedding as well as using a DJ and they were so patient and kind answering all my questions and accommodating any special request i had. During our reception Brandon did such a great job understanding the crowd, choosing the appropriate music for the appropriate time and getting everyone on the dance floor! I received so many compliments on the good time had by all and our DJ's ability to get even the most stubborn/shy people out on the dance floor having a great time! I feel so grateful to have had Brandon DJ our wedding and create such a great time for everyone that I will never forget! I highly recommend them to any bride or individual that is needing entertainment for their special event!!

I spoke with at least 20 DJ's and Josh was by FAR the best. Made everything so easy and convenient and I didn't have to even think. He also is so fairly priced and there for you every step of the way. Everyone else is pretty much "no contact" until the week of which made me nervous.

We kept talking about Josh for several weeks after our wedding as being a very special and wonderful part of our day. He was everything we wanted and more! This guy is more than deserving of any DJ award out there. Just a really great guy to be around, the best at what he does, and a pleasure to work with. As a groom who works in the live-event production industry, one of my biggest concerns was that the reception would be an electric party with flawless transitions and flow. I can not express how wonderful of a job Josh Ray (High Tone Entertainment) did during our wedding! My husband and I are from Detroit, MI and just got married at Belle Meade Plantation in Nashville, TN. From the moment I contacted Josh about DJ services he was extremely knowledgable and made me feel at ease. He put the entire ceremony and reception timeline into perspective. Leading up to the wedding, he had excellent suggestions and made sure that he abided by our "Do Not Play" and "Must Play" song lists. High Tone Entertainment is your DJ! Look no further! Josh Ray who manages it is very flexible, fun, and absolutely knows how to entertain guests. My 100+ guests who were adults and children had absolute fun and Josh knew exactly what my guests needed. He also did lighting for my wedding and it was beautiful! I will always recommend High Tone Entertainment for events. Liana (Harpist) performed for 30 minutes prior to our wedding ceremony and also played our processional and recessional. She was amazing. Josh was a great addition to our wedding reception. He system is very well organized and he took the time to walk-thru our event with us to learn every detail that wanted.

On the day of the wedding he was very helpful and stepped up to the plate when we needed it the most. We forgot to add a song to our ceremony which Josh was not responsible for. We came to him for a favor and he delivered when we needed it the most.

He managed the ceremony, toasts, and dancing perfectly, and we got nothing but compliments from guests--people were dancing all night, and the dance floor was packed the whole time. Josh was perfect with miking the ceremony which allowed all to hear. We had no stress the entire night knowing that Josh was in charge--he made sure that we had communicated all our needs and preferences in advance (in person and over the phone, at our convenience), showed up way in advance, and stayed late to make sure everything was cleaned up and perfect. If we could, we'd give him 10.0 stars.

I highly recommend High Tone Entertainment (and Josh Ray) with confidence for your next event. Josh was professional, prompt, responsive, detail oriented and very easy to work with. He handled our music, intros, toasts and lighting for our wedding. Josh made it fun for everyone, young and old. When we wanted to add external venue lighting, he even found a vendor to work with and handled all the logistics to assist us, as we were trying to plan our Franklin destination wedding from Tampa. There are no hidden costs with Josh and what he says is what he means. As weddings can become costly and stressful, we really appreciated his straight forward, honest approach. Josh came highly recommended by our venue (plug for Southall Meadows and Sarah Legan), and after one call, I knew I didn’t need to contact anyone else. High Tone Entertainment is the first vendor we secured, and after speaking with Josh, you will want to do the same. Worth every penny!

They were so great for my wedding at the Cordelle! Brandon was so easy to work with and you have a client portal to adjust songs, etc which makes it nearly impossible to have any miscommunication! They also did our dance floor lights which were so fun!

We worked with Josh and he was great! He was available to talk when we needed and lead us through the process of timing for he event and the best ways to work in our special little touches (and we had three large special touches to work in to surprise the Bride and Groom!) I had the most perfect experience with High Tone Entertainment! I hired Josh to do all of the up-lighting for us at the rehearsal dinner we hosted at the McConnell House! He also provided us with music and a microphone, as well as a beautiful monogram for the bride and groom! He was amazing! Josh was very patient with me, as I had to change the monogram several times. I only wish I could have hired him to be our DJ at the wedding the next day. Unfortunately the DJ was already included in the wedding venue that was selected. Josh was punctual, does excellent work & couldn't have been more pleasant to work with during our multiple conversations. The end product of his work was so beautiful! Josh was always so quick to respond! We got on the phone a few days before the wedding and made a timeline that helped the day run smoothly! He also helped me find an officiant 5 days out because mine had an emergency. Everyone commented on two things from my wedding: the food and my awesome DJ! I will recommend him to everyone!!

Josh (owner of High Tone Entertainment) was both the classical guitarist for my ceremony as well as DJ for my reception. I couldn't have asked for a better overall experience and am so thankful to have chosen HTE. Not only was HTE the most affordable for the services I was after, once I talked with Josh I knew I was getting a professional. Since he hadn't been to our venue before, he came for a visit when I was doing my bridal portraits - something I greatly appreciate as a sign of going above and beyond. The classical guitar complimented our intimate-feeling ceremony and all of the songs we chose were played wonderfully. When I told Josh that my partner and I didn't want a "club" feel on the dance floor and explained what we wanted to avoid, he understood and executed our wishes perfectly. Everyone had a blast dancing the night away and didn't want it to end.

The only negative is that Josh doesn't know a ton of true classical music, which my mom wanted for the ceremony processionals. I understand that pop music with the usual chords is more commonly asked for these days, I just wish I'd known the classical music selections were minimal before we got so far down the planning road.

Overall, I HIGHLY recommend any of HTE's services to brides in the Nashville area. They are professonal, fun, accommodating, reasonably priced, and great at their job. You can't go wrong!!

Josh was great to work with, and we recommend him highly! He was very communicative throughout the planning process and extremely professional and responsive on the day of the wedding. We made a couple last minute changes to important songs, and he was able to accommodate those without a problem. During the reception, he kept everyone up and moving for the whole night. Overall: a great experience!

I am not one of Hightone’s many happy brides, but instead another professional in the wedding industry. As such, I have a much different scope on just how great Josh and his team are at what they do. I am a day-of coordinator at a Franklin venue and have worked with Josh numerous times over the years. Yes, he is talented and plays great music. Most DJs do. But what makes Hightone such an asset is that they share in the ultimate goal of letting the bridge and groom enjoy their night without the worry of the many small details that make up a great wedding. With all there is to keep track of on your timeline- from dinner announcements, cake cutting, etc. - they are such an ally to have! (Not to mention encouraging grandma to cut a rug).

As a venue, we not only reccomend Hightone to any and every client we have who does not have a committed DJ, but we have also hired them for our own company holiday parties. Simply put- hire people that you know will take care of you.

I have used the team at High Tone several times for dances and events. They have always been quick to receive response from, as well as help coordinate the best event. My wedding was a hit, but when I booked them for my daughter's school dance they went above and beyond with fun dances and games. I won't even suggest any other DJ service, but High Tone!

Josh was fantastic, and High Tone Entertainment was a dream to partner with for our Ground Hog Day Wedding. We knew we wanted great food, and entertainment. Josh was a super fast responder, provided an EASY to use online portal, and managed to keep my guests on the dance floor from start to finish even though we added approximately 25 songs to our portal. He was so flexible he let us add on an extra 30-40 minutes at the end of the night because folks were still having a good time. He took the time to call me the week before and personally walk me through options, introductions, and song recommendations. I decided to add the up lighting package after the initial booking and I am so glad I did. The lights transformed the venue making it feel warm and cozy. I can not recommend this company or Josh more. I am so glad he was apart of our big day.

This is the best entertainment company. Josh made my 50th Hawaiian birthday party the best party for my family and friends. He knows how to get a party started and keep it going. He was so great and we hired him again for my daughters graduation. Actually, these are some of the best memories of my family and friends dancing and having the time of their lives. I could never put into words how precious these parties have been and how Josh made them that great. I would never consider ever using anyone else and if I had to , I would change the date of any event to have this entertainment. My friends want me to have a party every year just to have Josh as the entertainment because of the fun and memories made at these events. Josh was a pleasure to work with. We originally hired him to perform acoustic guitar for our outdoor ceremony at Cheekwood and then were so encouraged we had him DJ the reception as well. Wouldn't you know it rained the day of our wedding leading us to change plans and move everything indoors. Josh was completely setup 1 hour before the ceremony was to begin when the rain stopped an we moved everything back outdoors. Josh was so accommodating that once he setup outside he even helped move chairs/decorations! Once the ceremony was over he flew over to Sambuca to setup for the reception, never missing a beat. He kept the dance floor moving all night and facilitated toasts, cake cutting etc. Out of all our vendors Josh was by far the most professional and responsive.

You need Josh Ray as your reception DJ, and you need the String Trio/Quartet for your ceremony. Trust me.

My husband Robert and I were fortunate to have Josh Ray as our DJ for the wedding reception, and we enlisted the string trio for our ceremony as well. We could not be more pleased with the way everything was handled. The music in the chapel was fantastic, and everyone is still talking about how beautiful it was. Josh was flexible and open to doing whatever we asked. Seriously, as people walked by me in the reception, they all said, "the music is great, " and "this is my kind of music." I thought that was pretty awesome. In addition to the music selections, however, Josh facilitated a flow to the reception that kept everything exciting and moving right along. My Dad told me that countless people told him they thought it was the best wedding they had been to because of how fun it was due to the fact that there was always something happening.

I hired Josh maybe a few months before my wedding. He was so great with helping me figure out how to best utilize his services. I ended up adding extra lighting with High Tone Entertainment and it was so worth it. Everything sounded great from my officiant to the speeches and music. I needed some help with picking songs for certain parts of the reception and he was a great help with that. Josh made the whole experience super stress free and my friends and family really enjoyed his services on the big day.

Josh did a great job from the start! I always associated a DJ with just music, but Josh helped with lighting, microphones, and has lots of entertainment options as well (photo booths). I didn’t expect anyone to get out dancing, but Josh got everyone out there and they all had a great time! My only regret is not adding on the lights for the dancing, but who knew my guests would actually be out there dancing! I’d highly recommend Josh! He was knowledgeable, helpful, timely, and I never had to worry or wonder if everything would work the way I hoped! Thanks Josh for making my day so special!

My husband and I cannot recommend High Tone Entertainment and Josh Ray enough! Our wedding venue had a unique layout and Josh was able to handle everything seamlessly. During the entire planning process, Josh was extremely professional, helpful (we had several very specific song/event requests) and kind. Josh served as our DJ as well as the guitar for the ceremony. We also got our uplighting for the dance floor from Josh. The entire experience was fantastic. Josh worked with us, had tremendous patience, and clearly was only interested in helping us have the day we envisioned. As a result, the entire event was fantastic. Josh takes the worry out of the music and lighting, is highly professional, and prices are very competitive (our planner agreed). The smartest thing we did was tell Josh what we liked, didn't like, and told him to do the rest. It was fantastic as a result!
