I first met Sarah when she was the photographer for my best friends wedding a couple of years ago. I was a maid of honor so I had to coordinate with her a lot throughout the day to make sure that things flew smoothly.
I knew the first time I met her and saw her in action that I wanted her to be my wedding photographer. I remember going home that night after my best friends wedding and I said to my now husband, she is going to be the photographer at our wedding hands-down, I want her and no one else!
She does absolutely incredible work she takes her time. She is organized and knows how to gather a group together and make sure they are where they need to be for photos. She has details the day of who is supposed to take what photos to make sure she gets all of the ones that you want. She is extremely dedicated to what she does and she loves her job! When you love your job, it shows in your work!
She made absolutely every part of the experience, easy, comfortable, and so perfect! From doing our engagement shoot and working through it even though a few months prior, she had had a injury to her back, she did not want to cancel or reschedule, she made sure to be available and be present for us. All the way to checking in on me months before my wedding, giving me updates, she checked on me the week ahead of time and spent an hour on the phone with me making sure she got every detail of what I wanted my day to look like what I wanted out of our pictures, she gave me helpful suggestions based on her experience. She told me that she would do anything that I wanted.
She then texted me about two days before and hyped me up and got so excited for my wedding coming in a few days. Then sent updates on what the weather was going to be like on my wedding day. She sent tips the night before on how to get good rest, and make sure that you’re eating and drinking and what the weather for that day meant for pictures and how they would look.
And then, of course, the day of her and her second photographer, Jeffrey and her assistant were all amazing. They were so kind, funny and attentive! Sarah just made sure to take care of literally everything that she could. If it was something that needed my attention. She took care of it without a second thought! She was like a second maid of honor!
She made sure that our timeline stayed exactly the way it should be, and just made me feel like, I was doing it right all day long. She was encouraging, positive and in our pictures, even just the four that she has given as proofs are absolutely gorgeous! I am dying to see the rest of them I would 110% recommend her and anyone in her company that she has trained to do wedding, maternity shoots, engagements, you name it!
I will definitely be using her in the future for my own maternity shoots , or any other professional photos that I would like to have because she is a professional and has the most incredible work! She is also just an all round awesome person! 10 out of 10 would use again!! 🥰 -

I cannot say enough great things about Sarah and her crew! She is more than just a photographer, she is a wedding expert!! As an out-of-state bride, Sarah made scheduling our engagement photos easy and was able to make it happen during our weekend in town. I knew after seeing the amazing quality of the engagement photos that my husband and I had made the right choice!
When it came time for the wedding, Sarah was the one vendor I knew I didn't have to stress about. She checked in with us several times the week leading up to the wedding and was so organized! The day of the wedding she was by my side, while her second shooter Jeff was with my husband and the men. Sarah was more than a photographer, she was a coordinator for the whole day! She made sure everything was running smoothly, kept us to the timeline, and advocated for my wants and needs when things weren't going as planned. She had whatever I needed on hand-- she was fully stocked with hairspray, bobby pins, safety pins, stain remover, tissues--you name it and she was prepared with it! She checked in on my husband and I during the day to make sure we had time alone and were eating and drinking throughout the day. She was even there to help bustle my dress when others struggled!
Her pictures were absolutely stunning and all came within the promised timeline! She was communicative throughout all of the edits. I could not be happier with my wedding photos!! I ordered a custom wedding photo album from her and it is gorgeous-- she uses the highest quality printer and its evident she cares about the way her photos are displayed.
If you are looking for a wedding photographer don't think twice and hire High Contrast Photography! You absolutely won't regret it!! I have nothing but positive things to say about Sarah and we have remained friends post-wedding! -

Wedding Photography
I can’t say enough on how fun it was to work with Sarah and her team on our wedding day. This lady knows what she’s doing and gets business done for sure! I’ve seen her in action previously at a close friend’s wedding and her work was phenomenal. Her photos are so vibrant and capture so much love. It was MUST to have HCP as part of our vendor lineup!
Sarah mainly stuck with my girls and I while Anne ran a tight ship with the guys. Dani was also there to help with absolutely anything we needed. All three of them were outstanding!
One thing that I appreciated the most as a bride was that she checked in with me often and made sure that I was taken care. Meaning that I was eating, staying hydrated, taking time to just relax….literally ALL the things. Even when I started to stress about sticking to the timeline she took the time reassure me that everything was going as planned. She stuck to the timeline, and made each transition so easy.
We could tell that Sarah cared so much about not only capturing the perfect moments for us, but cared even more so about the experience us as a couple should have on our wedding day. I mean it when I say that Sarah provides more than just a photography services. She crafted an oh so perfect day for Wyatt and I. Can’t thank her enough! -

Absolutely amazing
We absolutely loved Sarah!
First, she did our engagement photos as part of the wedding package. I had to keep rescheduling makeup and she ended doing it for me, which was fun and she did a great job. She makes the process so fun and clearly loves her job. Then the photographs were beautiful!
Then she was the photographer for our wedding along with basically being my other coordinator. She was always there for advice and guidance. She helped get everyone into position and be organized, keeping everything on perfect timeline. She is extremely experienced, competent, and helpful. She had also helped me a lot with my wedding timeline. I could keep going on.
We both loved her and would love to have her help us capture future milestones. -

The MVP of the wedding!
I cannot rave about Sarah enough. My husband and I both agreed she was the MVP of our wedding and the absolute best choice.
Not only does she take the most vibrant, stunning photos, she goes above and beyond in every other way also. So many photographers I had looked at had washed out, muted/neutral tones and I wanted full color and bright. As soon as I saw Sarah’s photos, I knew instantly she was what we were looking for style wise.
Sarah goes to any length to get perfect shots. For our engagement photos, she got down on wet soggy grass to get a beautiful reflective shot of us (after it had just monsooned the day before).
Leading up to the wedding, her communication and attention to every single detail of the day were unmatched. She felt more like a wedding coordinator at that point. She planned my entire days time line and made sure every detail was clear and addressed so that the day couldn’t have possibly run any smoother. So much of this is because of Sarah’s clear communication and planning. She thought of so many things that I hadn’t even considered and made sure I was prepared well in advance.
During one of her check-ins leading up to the wedding, I explained my nerves on writing vows. She did not hesitate to send me hers from her wedding as inspiration along with the video as well.
The night before the wedding, she sent tips for a restful nights sleep, sent words of encouragement, and stressed the importance of staying hydrated on the big day.
During the wedding, she stuck to the timeline and made sure every photo we wanted was taken and that the night ran seamlessly. She even took extra time to secure my dress when the bustle I had was still too long and when one loop broke. Because she was so on top of everything, I was able to relax and be present in each moment to enjoy what was going on. It took all worry off my plate on wedding day because I knew she would let me know what we had to do next when the time came.
In this process she acted as SO many different roles in addition to her amazing role as a photographer. I thought so many times how she was the absolute best person we could’ve ever chosen! We are both so grateful for all she did for our wedding day. Her assistants Carrie and Ann were such a joy as well. They were both so kind and beyond helpful too. -

Incredibly talented and helped with the day of timing!
Sarah was absolutely incredible ! Not only is she a super talented photographer who got some mind blowing shots, but her attention to detail throughout the whole day and night was impecable! Her assistant Jeff was also great! They both helped to make us so comfortable in front of the camera and I truly don’t know what I would have done without Sarah. She was pretty much my day of coordinator and photographer all in one! She made sure that my husband and I were a priority the entire night, that we were hydrated and kept us on time! I cannot recommend her enough! I cannot wait to get our photos back ! -

Sarah was incredible to work with! She is a true professional in the industry and produces the most amazing photos. I knew from our very first conversation that she was someone we wanted to work with as she answered all my questions, guided me through the process/timeline and let me know what to expect. For our engagement shoot, she offered location ideas and sample photos she had taken at each place. She also met with us a year prior to our wedding to do a venue walk-through, so she could see everything in advance. And the day-of, she and her team were just incredible. She handled everything at our getting ready location so smoothly and effortlessly and likewise at the venue. Her clear directions and vision made for beautiful photos!! Sarah is so responsive and communicative, detail-oriented, and an expert at handling everything from large family photos to intimate ones, to the ones on the dance floor. There is nothing she can’t do and I would absolutely recommend her! -

I can’t recommend Sarah enough. Seriously. Above and beyond doesn’t even begin to cover it. Her photos are always outstanding, she’s fantastic to work with, very easy to talk to, very comfortable to be around. Super professional and such an amazing person.
Our wedding had So many stressful moments - seriously, it was one thing after the other, but Sarah handled EVERYTHING. I mean EVERYTHING. She was absolutely incredible and I don’t know how I would’ve gotten through without her because honestly she saved the wedding. The venue kept screwing things up and I cried multiple times throughout night but she never left my side.
My fingers got seriously burned on a hot iron an hour before ceremony- she was there to hold me while I sobbed, keep my hand under cool water, get me burn cream, bandages… then she did my make up for me. And it was Beautiful. She made me look how I always dreamed I’d look on my wedding day. I know nothing about make up and she just took over and dried my tears and made me look amazing. She helped me into my gown, and crinoline as well. She gave me a thousand hugs through out the night every time I started crying at another mess up. When the venue gave me food I was allergic to and hadn’t ordered, she fixed it and found something I Could eat. When the venue put on the Wrong lights (I specifically said only yellow lights because bright white gives me severe migraines) she fixed it. When I got a migraine from the wrong lights she was there with an ice pack, my medicine and another hug. When the venue broke our $300+ custom handmade made cake topper, she was running around trying to find out who did it (we still don’t know for sure and I’m fighting with venue about it - Padonia Park, just don’t hire them. Trust me)
Sarah was absolutely incredible the entire night. She somehow managed to take care of me the entire time and still take beautiful photos of me and my husband and everything.
You will not regret hiring her. I wish I could hire her to run my life for me. Haha.
Truly, Sarah if you ever see this, Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
Ps, she also did our Engagement photos and they turned out Amazing. I’m attaching some from wedding (Jurassic Park themed btw!) and engagement shoot. -

If you want perfect, timeless pictures of your wedding, High Contrast Photography is a must. I got married last summer and people STILL have not stopped raving about my wedding pictures every single time they see me! My husband and I decided to budget for really amazing photography that we would look at every day instead of hiring a videographer whose video we would watch maybe once every few years, and we absolutely made the right decision! The quality, lighting, posing - everything is perfect. Not to mention the fact that we got married at an outdoor ceremony on THE hottest day of the summer, and somehow Sarah still made us appear cool, fresh, dry, and stunning in every last picture! I could go on and on about the impeccable quality of the pictures themselves, but the other main reason you should hire HCP is Sarah.
When you hire Sarah to do your wedding, you are getting so so much more than just a photographer! She will keep you on schedule, fix your makeup, keep your dress in order, interact and engage with your guests, remind you to stay hydrated, and make you feel beautiful and pampered all while taking amazing pictures and just being genuinely wonderful to be around. Not once during my wedding did I have to worry that something was being missed or left out because Sarah and her wonderful assistant, Kate, were detailed and prepared and had everything running like the professionals they are! HCP made the entire planning process a dream too. Sarah even went out of her way to work with my mom to set up a fake consultation which turned out to be a cover for a surprise bridal shower. Jack of All Trades Photographer
Sarah is seriously a jack of all trades. Day of the wedding, Sarah was truly invaluable. We did not have a coordinator for the day of, so Sarah took on that job too - communicating with the DJ, officiant, catering, & bartenders to make sure everything was on time and everyone knew where they were supposed to be. She put my veil in after my hairdresser left and helped my MOH lace up my dress - while capturing it all on her camera! She knew all the formal dress rules - guys suits open/closed when sitting/standing and made sure they were all the same on every picture.
Our photos turned out amazing. She made it a point to get the photos I requested (or at least attempt with our flower girl). I have so many to choose from and it's really hard to choose which to get printed to hang on our walls - they are all that great.
She is super flexible with scheduling meetings and even our engagement session. We had to cancel our first engagement shoot due to illness and Sarah had no problem rescheduling and was super flexible throwing out multiple dates for us to work with.
10/10 would recommend to a friend! -

It is hard to put into words how incredible Sarah is. While we originally decided to hire High Contrast Photography because of the quality of pictures, we are beyond thankful for the fact that Sarah goes above and beyond the norms of a photographer. Sarah is a great communicator, she was always willing to answer questions or help accommodate us when possible, whether through email or text. Whenever we met in person, she always had a smile on her face! She is incredibly professional, but also loves to crack a good joke! On our wedding day, Sarah was so helpful and generous. When I say above and beyond, I mean it. I listed the things she helped with that I felt were not in her job description but she did anyway (steaming a bridesmaid dress, helping bridesmaids get ready, helping the bride into the dress, helping bustle the bride's dress, switching the bride's shoes during the reception, bringing the bride drinks, etc.). The second shooter, Kate, was also extremely helpful day of (putting falsie eyelashes on a bridesmaid, pinning boutineers on groomsmen, lacing the groom's shoes, etc). I'm sure there is more that these ladies did day of but these are the moments that stood out! Expectations were exceeded by 100%. While we only have a few of our pictures back right now, because Sarah is a busy woman, the few we have are incredible. We get so many compliments on them and the one we hear the most is that they look like magazine photos! We truly couldn't have chosen a better team to capture the special moments of our wedding day. -

Seriously, one of the BEST decisions I made about my wedding was having Sarah and her team from High Contrast Photography be there. They were amazing all night and all my guests loved them! It's been about 2 and a half months since my wedding and I still have people who were there telling me how great my photographer was.
Sarah and her team was at my venue early and were very responsive to changing plans - I decided that morning that I wanted pictures at the bridge near my venue and Sarah was easy to work with. They even went above the call of duty and stayed an additional hour at my wedding at the last minute to photograph the send off - we paid the next day but it means SO MUCH to me that they were willing to change plans at the last second, some of those last pictures are my favorites.
I talked with at least 10 other photographers before I talked to Sarah and was at ease at once when I spoke with her. She is professional, personable, and most importantly, absolutely PHENOMENAL at her job. I can't recommend her enough. High Contrast Photography captured beautiful moments from my wedding that will serve as memories for years to come, if that's not an endorsement, I don't know what is.

Sarah and her team at High Contrast Photography are everything you want in photographers. Not only are the final pictures absolutely stunning, but every moment working with them was wonderful. They knew just when to capture the perfect candid, and just how to direct everyone so that we all ended up looking like professional models who knew exactly how to pose. Sarah has an eye for detail and the pictures she took showed that. She was able to corral all our VIPs (which included elderly and children) quickly so that we received the family photos we wanted but stayed within our time schedule. I can't imagine having anyone else on the other side of that camera. Sarah is truly an artist. Her hand-selected team members are as well. Hiring Sarah was one of the best decisions we made. I highly recommend High Contrast Photography. -

It is difficult to put into words how amazing of a photographer Sarah (and Matt!) are! The best way to describe their team is efficient. They capture beautiful pictures quickly, without wasting anyones time so the bride and groom can enjoy the day. Sarah also could be a day of coordinator the way she keeps the bridal party calm, organized, and on time! My husband is not one to hand out compliment and he said several times how much he enjoyed working with Sarah and Matt and thought they were the prefect photographers for us. One of my bridesmaids has already booked them for her wedding next fall! I cannot thank her enough for capturing our special day so wonderfully. -

Sarah is the best!!! If you are looking for a wedding photographer seriously look no more! She is super organized and helps keep the day running smoothly even with me, the bride, slightly freaking out at points. She kept me calm and made sure we got all the shots I wanted! Did I also mention she is super nice, got a long with all my bridal party and got sneak peak pictures back to me the same night!!! I mean you really cannot ask for more. The day of the wedding she’s more than your photographer and will wear any hat you need her to wear! She was great at rounding the wedding party up and getting the photos we needed in a timely manner so we could get the party started. We got married at The Vandiver Inn and Sarah is a regular there so she knows exactly what shots to take to get the best photos possible. Sarah is like having a second Maid of Honor by your side. She bustled me up, helped pin my hair when it was falling, and most importantly calmed me down when it was go time. Her assistant Marissa was wonderful too. They both made sure we got the shots we wanted even the ones that weren’t discussed. I cannot wait to get the rest of our photos! You get four the night of your wedding and they are stunning!

From engagement photo session through post-wedding emails, Sarah was and continues to be incredibly friendly, professional, and caring with her attention to detail and drive to make her customers happy. What made working with Sarah and her second wedding day photographer, Kate, so great was Sarah's experience with our venue and other vendors. My husband and I married at the Vandiver Inn in Havre de Grace, and Sarah knew exactly what shots she wanted and how to achieve them -- We didn't have to worry about a thing! I especially appreciate that she accommodated my visual preferences in her final photo edit. I felt like she truly understood what we wanted, and she made that happen. Our wedding photos are absolutely stunning and capture the warmth and love that my husband and I felt on our wedding day with each other and with our friends and families. We get so many compliments on how amazing our photos look, and I always make sure that everyone knows to credit Sarah and HCP. Sarah Sent on 04/15/2018I can't say enough amazing things about how Sarah and Matt from High Contrast Photography helped all our dreams come true on our wedding day! We knew from the minute we met Sarah that we had to have her photograph our wedding because no one else we met with was as detailed, thorough, and responsive as Sarah was. We loved that we could customize our wedding package to what fit our special day best. Sarah eased my nerves and helped things move smoothly and on schedule the day of the wedding and she saved the day safety pinning my dress when the bustle pulled out so I wouldn't slip on the train! :) Matt was absolutely amazing with our ring bearer, our three year old nephew, making him his "assistant" and letting him shoot photos when he was getting restless! Sarah and Matt were able to capture our personalities perfectly from getting ready, our first look, the ceremony, reception, and everything in between. The sunset photos we took during the reception were breathtaking! Every time I look at one of our wedding photos I can't help but smile! We have gotten so many compliments on how our wedding photos are true works of art as well as how respectful and organized Sarah and Matt were on our wedding day. We first heard about them at the open house for our venue (The Vandiver Inn) which regualrly uses them for their events. Right away they were so personable and easy to talk to. We were interested. So we set up a meeting and Sarah was just amazing. Her focus was on us. What worked for us schedule wise and financially. She definitely puts her customers first. After we officially booked we had our engagement session and it was just a fun evening of talking, laughing and taking pictures. And the photos were gorgeous. Then on the wedding day she was perfect. Making sure to capture any photos that we really wanted and also calming down my bridesmaids who were stressing out. Carrie was the second shooter on the wedding day and she was wonderful as well. Out photos are beautiful and will definitely be treasured forever. I highly recommend them to everyone. Having two shooters the day of is definitely ideal and having them be Sarah and her team is one of the best decision you will make. -

Amy Sent on 09/12/2017High Contrast Photography was wonderful. Our original photographer went out of business 3 months before our wedding so I was frantic when I contacted Sarah at High Contrast. Although Sarah was already booked for that weekend, she was able to procure Kate and Dan for the day. She made me feel completely at ease with her bright personality and caring nature. Kate and Dan were amazing - they were attentive, personable, and truly captured the day. My only regret is that we didn't hire them from the beginning... I would've loved to have gotten our engagement pictures with them as well. -

Brittany Sent on 11/10/2015I cannot begin to describe how WONDERFUL and AWESOME Sarah and her team were this past weekend at our Wedding! Their awesomeness didn't just shine through the day of the wedding, but also in the months, weeks, and days leading up to our special day. I was especially impressed with her "day before email," which wiped all of my nerves and worries about the impending weather away. Coming from a huge blended family, it was very important to Mike and I that each part of our family felt as though they were able to share a special moment with us. This would not have been possible without the help of Sarah and her team. She also made sure that we were able to take pictures in all of the special spots our venue had to offer, even coming up with some awesome ideas of her own. We have only seen two of our pictures so far from Saturday, and we already know that we are going to be MORE than pleased with the end result.
