Perfect Wedding Day at Hidden Creek Country Club

Hidden Creek Country Club stole my heart when I first found them online. I reached out, and they responded promptly, even though it was a busy season for them. Katie (Catering Director) replied to my initial email, and I appreciated that she welcomed me to visit Hidden Creek Country Club whenever I could to see the venue and meet her. During my visit, I met Katie and Taylor (Banquet Captain), and Taylor was the one who gave me the tour. When I saw the venue (Fairway Ballroom), it was beautiful and spacious. The view on the deck was also stunning. The ballroom itself was already spacious, and renting the ballroom also included the deck, which made the space even larger! After the tour, Taylor worked closely with me, and she is the sweetest, most amazing, and attentive person I’ve ever known! Even though I didn’t have a wedding planner, she made the preparations—choosing the menu, napkins, and even the layout—seamless. Whenever I sent an email, she replied in a professional and timely manner. If she wasn’t able to respond to my inquiries, Katie would step in and provide an answer. I just loved how they made it so easy for me to organize my own wedding, never leaving me clueless or wondering for long. Even the day before, they accommodated my request to drop off my decorations, and I also loved how they were so flexible! Another thing—one of my decorations was the bow on every chair, and they even offered to help put bows on all the chairs. This was amazing, and I’m so thankful I found them! Also, on the day of my wedding, Taylor was always in the room, so I could ask her questions. The sound system was fantastic too! My guests left amazing comments about the food (especially the dessert) and how beautiful the venue was!

100/10 for me—it was a perfect, dreamy wedding day for me and my husband!!

Flexible, Kind, and Beautiful

While I've never played golf, I was married here in 2021! The site was beautiful, the events staff were incredibly kind, supportive, friendly, and flexible, and the food was excellent. We had a very small and simple brunch ceremony, and although we were working with a tight timeline and lots of last-minute changes, the staff were extremely kind and helpful. It was a lovely day, made much better by lovely people supporting us.

The perfect wedding day!

My wedding at Hidden Creek Country Club (both ceremony and reception) was perfect! My husband and I initially choose this venue because we loved the setting--it's full of trees and and is tucked away so it doesn't feel like it is anywhere near a city, but it is easy to get to. We booked it about 16 months before our wedding. In that time, the head of catering left but we still felt that it was easy to communicate with the staff. Most of our communication was with Gianna and she was amazing! She was always quick to respond to emails and answered so many of my questions. It was obvious to me that the team there knows what it is doing and has a lot of experience.

Ahmed was our coordinator from the rehearsal all the way through the end of the reception and he was incredible. All of my stress melted away as soon as we met him and it stayed away. He coordinated with all of our vendors, managed guest concerns, kept us on schedule, and made sure we were happy all day long (he even brought us a plate of delicious appetizers right after the ceremony!). We brought our decorations in the day before the wedding with notes on how to set it all up and the staff did an excellent job--that was a huge relief to me as I did not want to think about set up before the ceremony.

All of the food was delicious and the service was great. Our guests loved being able to go between the reception room and the covered deck throughout the evening. It was a beautiful day, in a beautiful setting, with an excellent team who made the day run so well. Thank you, Hidden Creek!

Excellent customer service

We had a couple different wedding planners/coordinators but in the end everything worked out. We booked a middle of the day wedding and they already had an evening wedding booked. So we went into the process knowing we would need to run on a tight schedule. They helped by sending multiple copies of the timeline and reviewing it over the preceding weeks.

The venue was beautiful and perfectly for our sized wedding (50 ppl). They had all the decorations set up by the time we got there and took them down at the end in moments. We were able to take the decorations with us when we left. They had water and fruit set up in the locker rooms while we were getting ready.

During the many walk throughs I ended up having, they were able to show us places they recommended for pictures after the wedding. It was definitely helpful to walk through with the photographers before the wedding.

The only negative was the rehearsal. Their organizer was late so we had started running the rehearsal ourselves. Then he wanted to go over the time lime once again. We were not expecting the rehearsal to take so long and were late for our dinner reservations. However, it did help the wedding run smoothly.

The food was delicious! We had the gourmet breakfast brunch. Definitely a big hit with our guests.

I would definitely recommend them!

Annette and Carlene were very helpful. They responded quickly to my concerns and questions. I was anxiety free when it came to the venue. I liked them so much I even recommended them to a friend who will be having her wedding there next year.

This venue was beautiful, with an outdoor section included with the rental space. It was very spacious for our 120 guests, and the food was excellent. I worked directly with Carlene and Annette, and they were always so helpful and responsive. The outside deck (the bar area) had a beautiful view, and it was the perfect scenery for our baby shower.

Thank you Hidden Creek for an amazing wedding and reception! We worked with Carlene and she was absolutely amazing. She responded quickly to every email and phone call, was so accommodating and flexible, and went above and beyond to ensure we were happy. On the day of the wedding she took care of everything and made it all come together beautifully. I cannot thank her enough for everything she did and the amount of stress she took off of me! The food was also AMAZING-people are still mentioning it! The best part about the venue itself is the amazing patio attached to the reception hall. It was so nice to have that outdoor space and our guests loved it! Hidden Creek is truly a hidden gem and I highly recommend them to anyone!

The staff at Hidden Creek was wonderful. From the first phone call to Annette Armitage to find out if the space was available through the day of the event they were professional and courteous, offering to meet outside of normal office hours if necessary. As the MOB I wanted everything done right, and they were flexible with the timeframe, meal selections and set up. They were able to accommodate the bride and groom, and an opinionated MOB sharing input from out-of-state. I can't say enough about the great service, the beautifully landscaped view nestled in a great location, well-appointed event space, and the delicious food. I only have one daughter but if I had another occasion in the area I would choose Hidden Creek again.

In October, we had our wedding reception at Hidden Creek and it was simply perfect. We worked with Annette throughout the entire planning process, and she was wonderful to work with. Every question was answered and expectations were set and pleasantly met. I never had any issues with payment or getting in touch with her. In fact, Annette amazed me with how fast she would respond to our e-mails. Annette really worked with us to create our dream reception, and I can't thank her enough. Annette and the entire staff were all very kind to us and our guests. The caterers and bar tenders were awesome, they went out of their way to make sure my husband and I were taken care of throughout the evening. At first, I wasn't sure If I loved the layout of the hall. It was difficult for me to visualize how everything look, but all my doubts about the space were totally wrong. In the end everything looked beautiful! Thank you Annette and everyone at Hidden Creek for making our special day even more magical. <3

we had our wedding at Hidden Creek Country Club on 10/2/2016. The staff were amazing, the food was Delicious, and the event wen without a hitch!...well.. almost. The DJ that I had paid to host my wedding did not show up. Unbeknownst to me, Annette made sure to call a DJ that she had worked with in the past and had him come to the event last minute! I didn't even know that my DJ never showed up until after the ceremony ended. The country club took the decorations that I had purchased and adorned the reception hall with everything perfectly. It was absolutely beautiful! All of my guests were amazed at how wonderful everything looked. Annette was an amazing coordinator and I couldn't have asked for a better wedding day because of her and other event staff efforts. I highly recommend hosting your events at Hidden Creek and I hope to be able to work with them again in the future. They made my wedding above and beyond what I had imagined and I am forever grateful!

.I had a wonderful wedding held at Hidden Creek Country Club. Both Annette & Genevieve were a pleasure to work with and very accommodating. The food was wonderful. My guests raved about the food. I had given my guests a choice of meat or fish and they were both delicious and accompanied with fresh veges and starches. The setting was really nice, especially the cocktail hour held on the deck. I also liked that the dance floor was a nice size and no issues with having room for all my guests to dance. I provided my owns cloths and chair sashes and the staff set up the tables and room how I wanted it. It was a great wedding and setting. Also, the venue rental fee is very reasonably priced especially for this area. I would highly recommend Hidden Creek.

Loved the venue. It was the perfect setting for a sunshine birthday for our daughter's 1st. They took care of every detail that I wanted. The food was really good. The staff is very helpful and accomodating. They helped with the decorations. I was quite particular about a lot of things, and all the staff were very co-operative of all that I needed. Thank you hidden creek for making my daughter's 1st birthday so memorable.

With the bridal party being in different states (from Florida to West Virginia), we were able to coordinate our event with the assistance of Annette & Genevieve smoothly! They were extremely professional, warm and quick with email responses to our questions or concerns. The venue also accommodated us well with allowing us early access to setup our decorations timely before the event. The cost of the venue was reasonable and the food selection for our bridal shower brunch was seasoned extremely well. The wait staff was very professional as well. Our blushing bride as well as our guests LOVED the ambience of this country club! I would definitely recommend this venue for a bridal shower event!

I could not be more pleased with the way our event turned out, and it was a real pleasure working with the very helpful people at Hidden Creek. The catering/sales manager was so friendly and helpful, and she understood my vision for the evening - which was a retirement and birthday party for the founder of our company -- and relayed it to all of the club staff. They also worked with all of my vendors and arranged final details to make sure everything ran smoothly. Their food was delicious, the décor was lovely, and the service was outstanding. I have received many compliments on the party - I highly recommend Hidden Creek for a party of 100-150 people.

We had my daughter's wedding reception here in January and I cannot even begin to express how beautiful everything looked! The setting created a magical evening for everyone in attendance. The food was outstanding! Our guests couldn't stop talking about how delicious everything tasted. It was a wonderful and memorable evening! Annette and Genevieve were wonderful to work with - they were always responsive and answered all of my questions. I would highly recommend using this venue for your wedding reception!

Words cannot express our heartfelt thanks for all you, and Gabe did to make our daughter's Sweet 16 party so special. They went above and beyond what was needed, to ensure that it was a memorable time. We greatly appreciate how Annette stepped in to make sure we had a contact before, and during the day of the event. She came in on her day off to make sure the event started smoothly. She also took extra steps to cover services for a vendor who we were having difficulty contacting, a photo booth company. She stayed beyond your scheduled time on more than one occasion, to contact this vendor and then offered an alternative for this missing service. Annette put up a white screen so the guests could take pictures anyway. Even with this disappointment of not having the photo booth vendor arrive, it did not overshadow how amazing and wonderful Annette, Gabe and the staff who were on duty for the night were. We have already shared by word of mouth to some of the other parents that Hidden Creek is a positively memorable place to have an event. As it was a semi-formal party, staff helped blow up balloons, put up special table settings, provided a place for our daughter to change, and created an elegant environment for the party. We can’t say enough positive accolades for our experience and hope others will have an equally wonderful event.

Again, thank you so very much for your professionalism, kindness, promptness and top-quality service to make our daughter's day, and our expectation, so pleasant.

We had our wedding ceremony and reception at Hidden Creek and we were glad that we chose this venue. The price is really affordable compared to other venues in Northern VA area and the service was really great. We worked closely with Annette and she was always helpful from the day we toured the venue through our wedding day. On our wedding day, she helped to set up the decoration, helped with the delivery of our flowers and wedding cake, and also coordinated the flow of the event so my husband and I could really enjoyed our wedding day. The reception area is pretty spacious and met our needs. The food was also really good. Overall, we had a great experience with Hidden Creek.

Great venue, great atmosphere, great views, great location and very accommodating staff. Lovely location, just wish the price was a little more negotiable. Although this venue was the cheapest in the area.

We first worked with Jessica to secure our venue. The place has a great layout - a nice deck overlooking the beautiful golf course for the ceremony, a covered deck for the cocktail hour, and indoor reception hall and floor for dancing.

We were able to sample all our food options, mix and match the menu a bit, and visit the venue twice before signing any contract. SUPER flexible!

We enjoyed working with the planner on site who shared great ideas from past weddings and offered honest advice. We will be working with a new Catering and Events Director now as Jessica has left, but she has been completely responsive and helpful.

Excited for our wedding!

I had my wedding ceremony and reception at Hidden Creek Country Club. It was a wonderful place to get married at. I love how we could take our pictures out on the golf course. The event/catering manager was wonderful and flexible to my needs. Also, the service were great and the food were delicious. Everyone there was very nice and catered to my every needs. I highly recommend Hidden Creek as the venue to have a wedding and reception.

Casey and the staff were very helpful in accommodating Karla Chisholm and her band as far as spontaneously setting up a table for their dining adjacent to the party.
David was a gracious and pleasant bartender and the food was delicious. The sea bass was particularly tender and yummy as was the rest of the food.
I did think it was pretty pricey at the end of it all.

Jessica gave outstanding professional service concerning the event. Her planning and suggestions and her organized schedule of events worked perfectly. She answered questions promptly and was a wonderful support in every way.
Ashley, our event Captain, ran the event in a gracious seamless manner. She anticipated our guests' needs and provided excellent service to all our guests.
The wait staff was excellent and complemented by several guests.
The food was delicious and graciously served. For us, it was a perfect evening.

Hidden Creek was an amazing venue for our wedding. I have to say, however, if it wasn't for Jessica, I do not believe it would have gone so smoothly. From the time we signed our contract, there was some turnover with the event directors which was a bit frustrating. Jessica was hired just 2 months before our wedding and although I was nervous to try and get another person caught up with everything we had planned, it went seamlessly. She even got more into the details than any of the prior directors had. There was not one thing that was missed. She also agreed to help us by setting everything up due to some scheduling conflicts that day which was above and beyond what she was required to do.

Of course, the venue itself is beautiful. We had 100 guests so we didn't fill the dining room, but the way the tables were set up made it look perfect. I really like how the dance floor was set up as well. Everyone commented about the Christmas lights above the dance floor. We used the deck for the cocktail hour and the bar. It was perfect for when people got too hot dancing, they could just go outside and hang out for a bit.

Lastly, the food was so delicious. It was hard to pick during our tasting, but we settled on the crab cake and filet. It was really nice that no matter which entrée you selected in our package, there was no price difference. Otherwise, we would not have picked both of those items. I even heard from a few people that they could not finish their dishes - when do you ever hear that at a wedding!?

The best part of our wedding. I even went so far as to tell the onsite wedding coordinator, Sharon, if all my vendors were like her, I would call wedding planning "fun." All of our guests raved about the location, especially since we were lucky enough to have beautiful weather so we took advantage of both their indoor and outdoor deck space.

Hidden Creek Country Club events are top-notch because of their event planner and catering director, Kimberly. She is utterly phenomenal. I had visited a winery and had my heart set on it, but I really didn't enjoy working with the event planner--which, to me, set the tone for the type of event. When I found Hidden Creek, I asked to come visit it right away. On my first visit, I knew it'd be the perfect place. Kimberly is amazing...extremely personable, flexible to your wishes, patient, talented, organized, and energetic. I have a hard time letting go of my plans, but I felt completely at ease with Kimberly at the helm. She took care of all the event set-up/decor and made the room so beautiful. It was more than I could have thought up myself.

As for the catering, Kimberly walked me through the tastings, and when I had some reservations about some of the items I tried, they had no problem setting me up with another appointment for another complimentary tasting. I wasn't shy about my critiques, and they took it all in stride and in consideration and made all the necessary adjustments. The food was perfect day-of.

I would highly recommend this locale, and specifically, to working with Kimberly.

Booking Hidden Creek for our wedding was the best decision we made during the planning process. We chose Hidden Creek for its amazing prices - we couldn't find anything else similar in quality to Hidden Creek for these prices - and it's GORGEOUS landscape. We planned an outdoor ceremony overlooking the beautiful green, and then we were going to do our photos at any number of a dozen great spots, including a gazebo, several bridges, and lots of trees and hills.

Unfortunately, we woke up on our wedding day to find it absolutely pouring. We were both really upset that the outdoor ceremony we'd dreamed of for a year wasn't going to happen. But then Kimberly stepped in. The indoor backup location was cozy, intimate, and really nice. It has floor to ceiling windows looking out over the landscaping. Kimberly went above and beyond, pulling out lanterns to line the aisle and lighting candles all over the room, so that it really had a romantic feel to it. She turned our nightmare into a dream. We honestly think it might have ended up being even prettier inside than it would have been outside - hard as that is to imagine. We did end up going outside for a few photos in the rain, and those turned out beautifully!

We really can't say enough good things about Kimberly, her input and hard work made the wedding even better than expected. Throughout the entire process, she was incredibly responsive and answered a million questions - big and small - with professionalism and enthusiasm. She was always happy to offer suggestions when we weren't quite sure what would work, and she found a way to accommodate all of our requests. I wanted a different meal than we were going to order for everyone else, and Kimberly said that was no problem! Hidden Creek was flexible on nearly every aspect of the event. Kimberly even suggested hosting a full brunch (fruits, pastries, eggs, and a pancake bar) at Hidden Creek the day after the wedding and gave us a fantastic price and use of the giant reception room. Our guests loved it and it saved us a bunch of money.

Kimberly made sure that absolutely everything ran smoothly during the big day. She ran the rehearsal like a pro and constantly checked in with us and the bridal party before the ceremony to make sure we didn't need anything. Because Hidden Creek only ever books one wedding per day, we were able to get to the country club as early as we wanted, which made the day a lot less stressful.

Although we didn't get to experience the gorgeous outdoor wedding Hidden Creek can normally offer, we would strongly recommend it. They're a great value, and Kimberly is more than just reliable and professional - she will go above and beyond to make sure your wedding day is absolutely perfect. Simply put, Kimberly is incredible and Hidden Creek is a great venue.

We held my daughter's wedding and reception at Hidden Creek and we were so happy with the way everything was handled, from the planning and tastings, to the rehearsal, the outdoor wedding ceremony, cocktails, and dinner. The food was fabulous - all the guests commented on how great the food was. Kimberly, the director of catering, did a fantastic job with the decorations and setting everything up the way we envisioned. She did a flawless job! I would highly recommend Hidden Creek for anyone looking for an intimate and lovely setting for a wedding and reception.

Don't believe anything else you hear, Hidden Creek is THE BEST place for a wedding. The Catering Director Kimberly was courteous, responsive, easy to work with, and literally met every demand that I had (which wasn't easy). She was awesome! The wait staff were courteous and friendly, and the country club is absolutely gorgeous (not gaudy and over the top like a lot of other reception venues I saw). The club members were sweet and congratulatory. AND THE FOOD WAS AMAZING (especially the seafood)!! All of my guests raved about the food, in fact me and my husband were upset because we didn't get a chance to eat the delicious h'or doeuvres that were sent to us. Please believe we ate every bit of the entree though :). Our 11-year old jr. groomsmen said when he gets married he wants to do it at Hidden Creek, in his words "that place is fantastic!" I agree. Oh, and did I mention that the cost was extremely reasonable? You won't be disappointed with Hidden Creek.

We had our wedding ceremony and reception at Hidden Creek 2 weeks ago and it was an amazing day, I am so glad we chose Hidden Creek. Not sure what part of the venue was ghetto but my wedding certainly wasn't. Our guests absolutely LOVED the deck. It has the most amazing view, gives you the best of both indoors and outdoors. It has twinkle lights all above on the ceiling and really makes it feel special out there. The food may have been the best we've ever had, not even just at a wedding. The pricing is great - they include the tax and gratuity in the pricing which made it really easy and I didn't have to worry about paying more than I expected to with different fees. Kimberly was really helpful in keeping me sain throughout the whole planning process and especially day of - I'm glad I didn't waste anything on a planner, she was that great! Oh and there is not a $10,000 deposit, that's just silly. I highly recommend Hidden Creek as your venue - we even did a brunch the next morning that was just as great!

Wonderful reception site! We had our ceremony and reception here and both went off without a hitch. We did have two different coordinators over the year of planning but both were great. Kimberly, who worked with us the final few months, was always quick to respond to any questions or concerns I had. We used their premier package - finding it was the best value for your money of any of the places we looked. This package also included the DJ and he was awesome! The food and service were great. Kimberly really listened to my vision of how everything would look and made it a reality. I would say the most impressive thing was how responsive they were to the wedding party. Kimberly was quick to bring us anything we needed while we were getting ready and during dinner, the servers had our favorite drinks ready for us at the table and continued to check in with us throughout the night. I would highly recommend Hidden Creek!

We loved having our wedding at Hidden Creek. The layout was just want we wanted! We got married outside on the open deck, with beautiful fall trees behind us. The cocktail hour was on a covered deck that had heaters if needed and the reception was inside. The food exceeded our expectations, we got a ton of comments from our guests loving the food. Annette and Carlene are both wonderful to work with! Day of, Carlene was one step ahead of us and ensured everything went off without a hitch! Everything was perfect.

We first worked with Jessica to secure our venue. We eventually worked with Annette and Annie who worked with us through each detail. They followed up with outstanding questions in a timely manner, made good suggestions, and ensured the event met our expectations. We enjoyed working with the planner on site who shared great ideas from past weddings and offered honest advice.

The place has a great layout - a nice deck overlooking the beautiful golf course for the ceremony, a covered deck for the cocktail hour, and indoor reception hall and floor for dancing. All of our guests commented on the beautiful venue.

We were able to sample all our food options, mix and match the menu a bit, and visit the venue twice before signing any contract. SUPER flexible!

Annie met with our other vendors and kept in close contact leading up to the event and the day of the event. She stayed at the wedding for the first few hours to ensure everything went off smoothly and passed off the duties to a fully informed and capable Banquet Captain.

We truly had a great experience with Hidden Creek.

Hidden Creek was really great to work with. We ended up having some changes in the reception, and they just kept up. The only thing I'd recommend is that if you're getting married outdoors on the deck, bring an aisle runner...my dress kept getting snagged on the deck.

Venue has beautiful backdrops for photos outside. For our April wedding the trees we full and had vibrant colors. Food was excellent and we felt they were interested in doing what it took to please us. They were flexible on their packages as far as substituting the alcohol for the premium package of food. They were more than accommodating when helping us to bring everything over 2 days before the wedding and setting all of our décor up beautifully. They were willing to meet with us just about any time and every time we requested, our visits never felt rushed and we had their undivided attention. ALL of the staff was friendly. We were lucky enough to be working with the now former events coordinator Annette through most of the process. She was quick to respond, had helpful suggestions, and very professional. Not to long before the actual wedding they hired Ahmed. He, too, was professional and very hands on during the reception. As far as we could tell nothing “went wrong,” knowing how attentive and on top of everything the staff was I don’t think we would have noticed.

The facility itself is somewhat outdated but they seem to be slowly renovating; the bathroom floors, foyer and dance floor were all replaced and remodeled in the 8 months we were planning the reception. Hidden Creek was perfect for our affordability to have a Country Club reception in Northern Virginia.

I held my ceremony and reception at Hidden Creek Country Club. I was incredibly happy with the service I received here. They were very accommodating when we asked for a specialty meal for a guest with severe allergies. Unfortunately, there may have been some cross contamination because the guest did have a minor reaction. The food was outstanding. All of my guests were impressed by the quality of the food. Annette and Carlene were very attentive and accommodating, even when I wanted to do multiple site visits. The part that really sold us on the venue was their ala carte option. This allowed us to really tailor our day to exactly what we wanted, and we were only paying for exactly what we wanted.

The room is a little small and had a somewhat odd layout. For a larger, more traditional wedding, it may be difficult for all guests to view the dance floor. It did end up perfect for the amount of guests and tables we had, plus the fact that there was no spotlight dancing, so no one missed out.

The venue performed all the set up and tear down, which was very helpful. There is a "bridal suite" but it is in the locker room, and I had a few people walk through. It's not a big deal to me, but it did happen.

I would definitely recommend this venue to other people.

We were overall very pleased with hosting our wedding reception as the Hidden Creek Country Club. The event planner, Jessica, was a pleasure to work with. We had a few hiccups occur at the actual reception with the food set up and the alcohol consumption agreement, but Jessica remained professional in handling the situation. The venue itself offers a fabulous location, able to accommodate rain or shine. The food was of a high quality, but not outstanding. However, the servers were very accommodating and professional throughout the event. We would recommend this venue to others looking for a beautiful location to have their reception.

Had some communication issues as the wedding date closed in but in the end everything worked out. A few months before my wedding the original catering director left and I never found out until I emailed in for something. The food on the day of the wedding was absolutely WONDERFUL!!! The food was better than I had tried at the tasting. By far the best food I've ever had at a wedding EVER. The food was fresh and hot and there was plenty to go around. The quality of the food was definitely above and beyond what I expected. The work done by the catering department the day of the wedding definitely made up for any hiccups that occurred before.

Over the span of 10 mos. we did work w/ 3 different coordinators. Other than the frustration of feeling like you had to start over 3 different times to discuss things ... in the end our wedding day couldn't have been better. Phil, was great to work with and he was very quick at answering emails and getting answers back to us. He was extremely helpful. We got married on the deck and had our reception inside. It was nothing but perfect. Thanks Phil .. for ordering great weather. We got the premier package which included our DJ. Rob was great! He was able to pull in all age ranges for dancing. The newly renovated room was beautiful. I guess my only complaint would be that we were supposed to have tea served at the table which was written in our contract and that never happened and the wait staff wasn't very attentive .. people complained to us that their water glasses were never replenished. One of our bridesmaids also had to come find one of us b/c there was no bar tender when people were trying to get drinks. Other than that we had a great day. I will say that many of our guests have raved over the food and said they think that might have been the best steak they have ever eaten. I would recommend Hidden Creek.

We worked with three banquet coordinators over the span of our contract, and that made for a VERY difficult time. But when Megan started working at HCCC, we were able to breathe a little easier. The first two coordinators were a pain to deal with- one knew nothing about her job, the second screwed us over with our contract, so the ratings would be higher, had it not been for them...

But Megan... Megan was great. She took on the job only a couple months before our wedding, and immediately notified us of the change. She gave us all her contact information, and told us to contact her if we needed anything. About two weeks before the wedding we met with her and asked a load of questions- all of which she answered quickly and factually. She was able to provide us with fixes for our contract so we weren't as head over heels as before (from the second coordinator). She gave us extra things here and there, let me know that x, y and z would be covered and rested all our worries.

On the day of the wedding, everything went smoothly. She was on top of everything we asked, and needed. She even set up a table and chairs for last minute guests.

Hidden Creek was a great location for our wedding. Throughout the planning process I did go through 2 different event coordinators, the 2nd one's last day was 11 days before the wedding. After that I worked with Annette the Catering manager and she was fabulous and she ensured that everything lived up to my expectations. The only minor thing about the day was that it rained and there was a pretty deep puddle coming into the front door so some of the guests got drenched when they were walking in. But all in the all they did a great job with our wedding.

Overall, I was really happy with my wedding reception at Hidden Creek. However, I booked with them 7 months in advance, and during that time, dealt with three different catering managers. The first two were not at all responsive to my emails, which made me a bit nervous leading up to the wedding itself. However, our final manager Phil was excellent once he officially took the reins and got things moving. They were very flexible when we had specific requests, such as including an appetizer and cocktail from my husband's country. There were glitches here and there on the day itself -- wine wasn't served with dinner, as promised, and the wait staff wasn't as attentive as they could have been, but it wasn't anything that ruined the day for us. They kept the bar open an extra 45 minutes for us without charging to make up for the missed wine service, so it all worked out in the end. Really, I'm very happy we went with Hidden Creek. Compared to the other options I looked at, they provided the most "bang for the buck," and the reception itself was wonderful. We had the premier option, which included a DJ. To be honest, the DJ was probably the worst part of the wedding, though perhaps he could have been better if we had provided more instruction. I'm not an obsessive bride, and with a demanding job, I didn't have the time to plan every little detail such as play lists. But again, people had fun, and that's what matters!

Hidden Gem

Hidden Creek Country Club was the perfect spot for our reception. You DO NOT need to be a member of the club to have your ceremony or reception here. The main ballroom has a large covered deck area off of it that can accommodate 85 guests for cocktail hour that is decorated with string lights (we didn't have to worry about rain!). The deck area (both covered and uncovered areas) has amazing views of the golf course. HCCC provided corn hole for our guests during the cocktail hour. Inside the ballroom we loved having our first dance on the cute dance floor area with string lights and a fireplace. The food was GREAT! The house wine was even good. The chef was flexible with entrees and met with us during the tasting to get an idea of what we liked. The dance floor was big enough to accommodate the 6 piece band and still left enough room to dance. The staff is amazing! They have a great exit area for a sparkler send-off.

Hidden Creek is a great venue for a wedding reception. It is local (in Reston), and everything you need to hold your reception is right there- food, alcohol, service, table, chivari chairs, all tableware, etc. You have your venue and caterer built into one. From the very beginning with initiating the contract with Annette (known by every vendor in the area), to the event details later on with Carlene, both of them were super professional, helpful, and accommodating. I have never planned an 8-9 hour long event for over 100 people with so many marks to hit, and they were both on-site the whole time to ensure everything was moving along. Cocktail hour included butler-passed hors d'ouveres and was out on the 1/2 covered, 1/2 uncovered deck, which lent itself to beautiful photo-ops over the golf course. Keep in mind, there are other golfers/members at the Country Club on your day. We had a food tasting a couple months prior to our wedding, and the food was very good. I would definetly recommend HCCC to any future brides/grooms looking for a quality, affordable, local venue for their reception!

Hidden Creek was a great venue. The room is a little older but Kimberly transformed it into an amazing space. The semi covered deck for the cocktail hour is beautiful and overlooks the golf course. There was some less than desirable issues with the new catering director Sharon (as Kimberly has now left Hidden Creek), but was all figured out in the end.

They are a great deal in terms of price, as we got a deal on the venue fee. They are willing to work with us, although we have not had our wedding yet, for the area, the price is very reasonable.

I will preface this review by saying that my actual wedding day was wonderful. The wait staff was on top of everything and very efficient, and I was very pleased with the outcome of the evening; everything looked wonderful.

However, getting to that point was not what I would call a pleasant experience. I was planning my wedding from across the country, and was able to visit the venue on 3 separate occasions leading up to the actual event to go over things and discuss what we wanted/needed. On EACH occasion, I met with someone different, and it seemed like we started over from scratch every. Single. Time. I realize that they were in the middle of changing management and wedding choice options, but the fact that we had already paid them thousands for one package & having thought everything was good to go, only to be told things like, "Oh no, actually the layovers are no longer included; you need to select between option A and option B now..." 2 months before the event is enough to drive any girl into a bridezilla (and I honestly can say I really wasn't one...the wedding day was more for family than anyone else!).
My recommendation to anyone choosing this venue is to get EVERYTHING you want in writing when you go the first time, and keep that piece of paper with you when you go back: be prepared for them to want to go over everything as if from scratch, so you'll have your paper ready to go with everything you'd already discussed...do NOT assume they will have and know what you already talked about! Also, until they get their wedding packages solidified, be prepared for more choices to be asked of you that you haven't yet heard about. With all of these sudden "choices" and decisions needing to be made on the spot, I found it very difficult to plan the wedding from out of town since I couldn't just go with my first line of ideas that I was originally told to choose from, and always felt like I was on my toes and that any of my options could change. BEWARE!

We got married about a year ago and absolutely loved the venue! The food was great, and the catering manager took great care of us through the evening. Having the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception all within the same building was great and convenient for our guests!

However, in the planning process, we went through a number of venue coordinators (at least 3 different individuals working with the country club). The first coordinator made us want to book it- we loved her; the 2nd coordinator we never met- just exchanged a few emails; and the 3rd coordinator was the one around on our wedding date- but she lacked any sort of semblance of what was going on. Our first official meeting for our tasting and final planning details, she hadn't even opened our folder to find out our names or any requests we had made in the months prior. She had no understanding of the alcohol or food packages offered by the company, and just gave the impression she was young and didn't care. We left that meeting and hired our own coordinator.

We did have the s'mores package with the campfire during the reception, and found the campfire area was very dark. In the planning process, we tried to investigate hanging some string lights to help light our guests' path, but the venue discouraged it, at least not for a hefty price for their people to hang the lights.

A few tricky details to work around, but I would recommend using this country club as a wedding venue!

My wedding at Hidden Creek was beautiful. Kimberly and the venue staff did an excellent job setting up the ceremony and reception as requested and serving food promptly. Unfortunately, I would not recommend Hidden Creek due to the behavior of their catering manager Sharon. I had planned everything with Kimberly by early March, so I did not contact Hidden Creek again until three weeks before my October wedding. This is when I found out that Kimberly had been replaced in April, because the new catering manager (Sharon) had never contacted me. We were having a dry wedding, so Sharon said she would send me updated pricing. I received the pricing about a week later, and it included a 21% "service charge" that the contract explicitly stated was included in the food and beverage pricing. When I explained this to Sharon, she called me, began shouting, asked if I was "able to understand anything at all," and finally hung up while I was talking. At this point, my wedding was one week away. I called Sharon's boss Jon (the general manager), who refused to honor the contract, told me that it was very reasonable to only discount the price $10/person for removing alcohol, and said that according to Sharon, everything was my fault. Based on their behavior, I was afraid that Hidden Creek would not even set up for my wedding if I did not pay them the extra service charge. When I found that Kimberly Kellberg had started her own wedding planning business, I hired her solely to deal with Sharon, even though I had already maxed out my wedding budget. Two days before the wedding, Sharon told me that she would not be there on my wedding day. If it weren't for Kimberly's skillful wedding planning, I am certain that my wedding would have been a disaster.

Hidden Creek needs to stay hidden! Being from Arlington and more specifically south Arlington, I more so than a lot others know the difference between ghetto and classy. Hidden Creek reminded me what a country club would be like if it were next to a liquor store. We've been to other country clubs that didn't look like they should have sheets in the windows! The surrounding area reminded me of DMXs' "where the hood at". After we parked, and walked to the club house, we saw lovely 70's style Christmas lights hanging above the entrance, that was the first sign that class was getting ready to get thrown out the window. Then we entered, after smelling an odor that could embarrass a skunk, seeing carpet that is really outdated along with not settling properly with the building as its rising in several places. The hostess took all of three minutes to show us around. The deck was interesting as anyone with a hint of class can tell you, was gawdy. She then informed us of a 10,000 grand deposit for just Sat. weddings. We understand that Sat. weddings are popular and could result in the need for a higher deposit. However, as most couples pick dates that mean something significant to them, if you dont have deep pockets and Sat. is your day, time to move on! Bottom line, there are other country clubs in the area that are not only nicer, but cheaper and have the elegance that is required of the special occasion that is a wedding. I know people may disagree, so if you feel the need to do so please feel free to stop by and take a look around... do me a favor, and make the special day for that special lady in a special place.. not this third rate wannabe.

This was not for a wedding, but instead for my son's Bar Mitzvah reception 10 days ago.

The venue is beautiful and the food is fine, but they made me commit to a minimum number of guests 11 months before my event and then would not revise my minimum cost downward at all when I realized I would have fewer guests than I originally planned. They made me spend more than $2000 more than I needed, because they were completely inflexible.

If you do go with them, ESTIMATE VERY LOW.
