Couldn't have asked for a better experience!
Our wedding day wouldn’t have been the same if it weren’t for Marissa and her incredible team! From the moment we had a chance to connect, I knew Marissa absolutely understood the vision we had in mind for our special day - sleek and sophisticated, with a pop of fun - and our pictures capture this aesthetic and MORE. We’re so excited to be able to look back at our special day for years to come, and we loved Marissa’s mix of chic editorial and natural shots. While our pictures are stunning, it’s Marissa’s stellar planning, attention to detail, and overall energy that made our wedding day experience so enjoyable. She helped set our timeline to ensure we were right on (impressively, even a bit ahead of) schedule. Her team ensured everyone was relaxed and that no detail went unnoticed. Together, they knew exactly how we should pose, where to get the best shots, and efficiently got us to exactly where to be at all times during the long day. Even my husband enjoyed posing for pictures thanks to their direction! Having been in so many weddings myself, I know this can be the hardest, most grueling part of the day, and we truly had a blast. Overall, I can’t say enough amazing things about Marissa and Heyn Photography. It was a pleasure getting to work with them and I hope to be able to do so again in the future! -

Our wedding photos were perfect!
We were delighted with our experience with Heyn Photography and lead photographer Marissa! We first met Marissa on a call where she really impressed us with her organization and drafted a sample timeline for us- it really set the stage for all the other vendors. Our wedding at Eagle Oaks Country Club was captured so beautifully in their indoor conservatory and outdoor spaces despite a cold November day. As a bride and groom who are introverts, we truly felt so supported. Her team was also so warm to our family members and it really showed in our photos. If you are looking for an elegant, true-to-life, editorial style wedding photographer- Marissa is extremely professional, reliable, and goes above and beyond - look no further! -

Looking for a personable, professional, and passionate photographer who is experienced? Look no further! My husband and I had Marissa from Heyn as our wedding photographer this past June and we could not be happier with our pictures as well as the overall day spent with Marissa, Kelly and her assistant. During the planning process, Marissa was always there to help and really was great when coming up with a timeline for the day. She was easy to get along with and talk to. After talking to Marissa the first time, it felt like we had known each other already. She makes you feel super comfortable and like a friend. Marissa and her team have an amazing eye. Our pictures are STUNNING! We don’t know how we will ever choose which pictures to include in our album! Marissa’s work is timeless and romantic. If this is your style, Heyn is for you. Best in the business
Marissa and the entire Heyn Photography team are the best wedding photographers you can possibly hire for your special day. With Marissa, you get not only an amazing photographer, but a wedding coordinator as well. She has great relationships with every kind of vendor and can provide you with her recommendations. My husband and I were married in 2020 but had our wedding in 2022 at The Mill Lakeside Manor in Spring Lake, NJ. Marissa was there every step of the way through the ups ad downs of having to postpone our wedding. She sent us prints from our engagement shoot and a sweet note after we had to make the difficult decision to postpone our wedding for the second time. It is this compassion and attention to detail that makes her second to none. When our Wedding Day finally arrived, my friends and family could not get over how relaxed and happy I was as a bride. I was able to enjoy my day and be in the moment because I knew Marissa had it handled. Whether it was someone walking in the background of our first look or telling a relative politely to get out of the way, Marissa is going to make sure your photos are breathtaking and that you do not have to stress about what to do next. Marissa and her team are professionals in every sense of the word and are worth every penny! -

Best wedding photographer out there!
I would highly recommend Heyn Photography for wedding photography services! Marissa is absolutely amazing and truly gets to know her couples. Our first meeting with her, we spent 3 hours talking and getting to know each other and I knew instantly we wanted to hire her for our wedding. Fast forward to the day of, her team was so professional and fun and helped make the day picture perfect. I received my sneak peeks 3 days after the wedding and I could not have asked for better photos. Book her ASAP, you won’t regret it! -

Perfection
Hiring Marissa was the best and easiest decision of our entire wedding process. We could not have asked for a more talented and professional team. From start to finish Marissa made both my husband and I feel comfortable and confident. Our wedding pictures are absolutely gorgeous and classic! Marissa truly cares about her clients and was an incredible resource to me throughout my entire wedding planning process that I felt as if I received a photographer and coordinator in one. I cannot recommend Heyn Photography enough! Marissa and her team are absolutely amazing. From the first phone call we had with Marissa, we knew we wanted to hire her - we didn’t even speak to another photographer. She took the time to plan the timeline for the day of and we hadn’t even committed to her yet. She provided so much information for the planning process - it was basically a photographer and wedding planner in one! If we had a question or suggestion, she always gave her honest opinion and would always recommend what was best to keep the day running smoothly. She was super quick to respond, and always called us if an email or text couldn’t cover all of the details. She also connected with us on a personal level, and treated us as close friends. During the photo sessions, she will direct you on exactly how to pose and will make sure that your dress or hair is not out of place. Her team is also super professional, friendly and very talented. John worked with the groomsmen while Marissa was with the bridal party, and my husband raved about how fun he was and that he somehow kept all of the guys focused. The pictures that we received are stunning. I love that she doesn’t just slap a filter on the photos, she clearly puts in the time to edit them beautifully. I would recommend Marissa to any couple and she was one of our favorite vendors to work with!! -

Look no further, you just found your wedding photographer. Heyn photography is the best of the best! From the first time I spoke to Marissa it felt like I was talking to an old friend. She truly goes above and beyond to get to know you and help you plan out all the details and timing of your day. With Marissa you get so much more than a wedding photographer. We were so lucky to have her shoot our intimate marriage in April last year, and then have Kelly and her team shoot our wedding this year as Marissa was ill. Even with her not being there, she was sending the team updates on weather and schedules to make sure everything still ran smoothly. On top of all this, your pictures will look like you stepped out of a magazine! We are so fortunate to have worked with the Heyn team, thank you all so very much -

Marissa is amazing!! We had to postpone our [bigger] wedding to 2021 due to COVID-19, and she was super accommodating and supportive. Marissa and her team photographed our mini/intimate ceremony (that we had on our original wedding date), and the pictures were PERFECT! Marissa is extremely talented at what she does.. and she is more than just a photographer- she helps to plan / time out your whole day. She also really gets to know her clients on a personal level, she became a friend throughout the process.
For us, the photographs are one of the most important parts of the wedding, and there's no one I trust more than Marissa and her team to capture every single detail and memory! -

Marissa and her team are absolutely amazing at what they do! We were so excited for our first meeting with Marissa, because we were so impressed by her work on her social media pages, and then when we got to meet her, we knew right away we had found the best of the best! Marissa was so professional and helpful, and so fun! She and her assistant made us feel so comfortable during our engagement session, and we loved how our photos came out! Marissa helped us plan every detail of our timeline, and worked with us to make sure that the day moved as smoothly and efficiently as possible. The day of our wedding, Marissa and her team worked their magic and captured so many amazing moments! At the end of the reception, they put together a slideshow with a preview of some pictures, and we were blown away by how gorgeous they were! My mom even started crying and hugged Marissa, thanking her for taking such beautiful photos. And when we received our album, we were obsessed with how stunning the pictures looked in print! We're so happy to have that gorgeous album and all of our photos to treasure forever, and we're so glad we chose Heyn Photography for our wedding! -

To say that we loved everything about Heyn Photography is an understatement. When we first met with Marissa to go over our options for our wedding, we knew we hit the jackpot; the quality of work that she showed us on her previous weddings was top notch. On top of that, Marissa was so easy to get along with and took the time to get to know us which was super important and really showed us that she cared.
We decided to do an engagement shoot to get the opportunity to get to know her further and her style. Not only did we have the best time, but the pictures came out amazing and we knew we had made the best choice for our big wedding day.
With COVID, our wedding date changed multiple times. Marissa was extremely responsive and worked with us as we planned a new date and was extremely accommodating as our plans seemed to change continuously. When we finally nailed down a date, Marissa spent a ton of time going through all the details of the wedding day that we didn’t even realize that we needed. When you plan a wedding, you don’t realize the importance of a great photographer to coordinate the day and make it stress free. Hands down, we could not have picked a better team. Everything from helping plan florist drop off time and coordination with the guys at a different location - so much goes into it and we can owe it to Heyn for making the day go by flawlessly. She directed my husband and I for the pictures extremely well and also were able to capture all the special moments with the bridal party that we were hoping for as well. Then add in the amazing photos on top of that that we received so quickly, Heyn completely outdid our expectations. If you are looking for a perfect photographer, look no further. We love Heyn! -

I've known Marissa since early 2017 when I booked her for my wedding. Unfortunately, that wedding did not work out. However, the best thing to ever come out of that first relationship was meeting Marissa. Her professionalism and understanding during that difficult time is something I will NEVER forget. I've now found the love of my life and there is no one else I would rather have capturing my big day than Heyn Photography. Marissa gets to know each of her clients on a personal level, she is always available to answer any questions or concerns, and her down to earth personality instantly makes you feel at ease while she captures THE MOST stunning photos. Her work is out of this world and I can't wait for her to be there on the most important day of my life. This past June, we were lucky to have Marissa capture our wedding day. Back in 2014, Marissa photographed my sister's wedding. I knew when it was my time to start planning a wedding, I wanted Marissa to be our photographer. Her skill and eye for beauty is unmatched and she is also a super awesome person to work with. After re-meeting again in 2018, it was obvious that Marissa prides herself on building a rapport with her clientele. It felt as if I was catching up with an old friend. Marissa's genuineness and care is apparent throughout your entire wedding planning process and after. Marissa is not a vendor you will hire for your wedding day and not speak to again. This is what makes Marissa really stand out from all others. She is a kind-hearted person who is dedicated to making you feel as comfortable as you can be and having the best day ever. Throughout the planning process, she assisted my husband and I with the timing of the whole day, choosing locations for photos and a location in case of rain, deciding what photos we wanted captured throughout the day, and she provided advice and support with other vendors we were using. During the day of our wedding she kept everyone in line and on time. She eliminated much of the stress a wedding can cause and brought such positive energy the whole day her and her team were with us. Choosing a photographer to be with you for about 10 hours may seem like a difficult decision, but once you meet Marissa you will no longer be in a search. Her work is phenomenal and you will be in awe when you receive your proofs. Our wedding photographs are high quality and really capture the beauty, fun, and sheer joy of our wedding day. From our first meeting with Marissa, we knew we wanted her as our photographer for our big day. We spoke with her for so long, it was as if we had already known each other. Throughout the whole planning process, Marissa continually communicated with me to make me feel at ease. She would answer my emails and meet with me in person to ensure things went smoothly/we got the right shots for the day. I did not have to give Marissa any "specifics," and I advise you not to either...she is BEYOND creative and talented and knows all the right angles, where to find the light, and how to get you shots you would have never even thought of. Not only can Marissa and her team capture amazing pictures, but they make it fun and make you laugh while doing it. We were amazed with our engagement pictures and now that some of our wedding pictures have came out we are simply blown away. Marissa and staff, thank you for being your creative, amazing selves! We are so happy you guys were with us on the best day of our lives! -

Marissa and her team are absolutely incredible. There are almost no words to describe just how amazing it is to have had this experience to work with her for our wedding. I had known for a while Heyn Photography was exactly who I wanted to trust to capture my day and I can tell you it was the best decision I have ever made (aside from picking my husband). Marissa is patient, kind, extremely helpful, a professional and most importantly now, a friend. Allison and I knew within minutes of meeting Marissa for the first time that she was going to be our choice. Her attention to detail, personable and friendly demeanor, willingness to field questions often (and quickly respond!), and quality of work are all UNBELIEVABLE. Come wedding day, Marissa and her team show up and DELIVER....and they seamlessly integrate into the big day, almost as if you've known them forever. We met her as a photographer, but when she left our wedding, she left as a friend. Having those feelings signifies that she truly was an amazing person.
Marissa is very creative and dedicated towards helping us achieve the best wedding experience ever. Her passion for photography truly eminates out of her at all times. She's also very attentive towards details, which shows when she took out a hair spray to fix my hair when it got windy; she's always prepared.
Marissa and her team are very selfless. For instance, during the reception, while everyone else was eating, Marissa and her team barley got a chance to eat, but they tirelessly work on capturing all those amazing moments.
She's also very organized and has a wealth of an experience to help assist in a planning processes of our wedding. She was also organized well to a point where family and friends photoshoots, which usually can be chaotic, were done swiftly.
Additionally, with her excellent time management, despite compacted schedule, she found a way to go and take pictures of the reception set up and the details of our wedding ceremony site.
Compared to other photographers, Marissa tends to have a very quick turn around time for her products. This can be seen from how fast she was able to edit and post demo pictures on her social media. The quality of work was just a wow factor for all my friends and families.
Ultimately, we couldn't have asked for a better photographer and a friend. We would love to work with her again in the future, and if anyone is looking for a high qualitive work, Marissa is a must. -

Their work is breath taking and I knew I didn't want anyone else to take my wedding pictures! At my wedding they surprised me by setting up a small flat screen tv with a slideshow of the pictures they had taken throughout the day! It was a highlight of my wedding for my guests! No one could believe how beautiful my pictures were! They kept making comments about how they looked like they were from a magazine! While I have only seen a few of my wedding pictures I already know I am going to have a very hard time choosing my wedding album because of how many beautiful pictures I will have to choose from! Choosing Heyn was one of the best decisions I made for my wedding! I have already had several people ask me for their contact information and have happily passed it along! The day goes by so fast and I wanted to relive the day through our wedding pictures. After interviewing many photographers, I couldn’t find the perfect for us. I came across Heyn Photography. I saw their work online and it was exactly what I was looking for - a perfect mix or photojournalist, unique, magazine style photos and traditional wedding photography. I emailed them and Marissa called me back that day. She took the time to talk to me on the phone and answer all my questions and concerns – I instantly felt a connection with her. I met with her and John and saw their amazing work. Right away I felt so comfortable with them. They took the time to explain the timeline of the day for me and show me many albums. They knew all the perfect picture spots to go to and knew how to make it all happen in the limited time we had for photos. I knew my search was over and we booked them right away. The day of the wedding, they arrived promptly and made me feel so comfortable despite my extreme nerves. I ran behind on getting ready with hair and makeup but they kept the day moving and were able to get the amazing shots they needed and get us back on schedule. They were extremely professional and unobtrusive during the wedding. Many people came up to us the day of the wedding and complimented how professional our photographers were. When we received our proofs – we were blown away by them. They are absolutely amazing. I am a hard critic and I have to say I am so happy we booked and found Heyn. We receive countless compliments on our pictures and photographers. People still come up to us and post online complimenting our wedding photos. I have never seen such amazing work and I can’t believe they are our wedding photos!If you are looking for a fantastic team that are professional, competitively priced, and produce amazing pictures then look no further. From the beginning, we knew we wanted to choose an extra special photographer. When the party is over and day comes to an end, your photos are will be the most important tangible take away of this memorable event.
The second my husband and I had the opportunity to sit down with Marissa we knew Heyn was the perfect fit for our special day. From that very first meeting, we were blown away by her honesty, talent, and incredibly easy going personality. Each step of the way Marissa was flexible and went above and beyond to meet our needs. We had an unbelievable engagement photo session in Hoboken, which was our first taste of Heyn's amazing work. On our wedding day, Marissa and her team took charge in a very subtle and gracious way. She kept our party on time and treated us like we were her most important VIP client. During our reception she worked with our DJ to stream pictures of us getting ready and our ceremony on the plasma TV's - a huge hit with the guests. The best part was a few weeks after the wedding, when Marissa gave us almost 1,000 photos of our wedding day. To look through her photos and love each and every picture says something magical. Heyn was able to capture all the special moments of the wedding day - mom helping me into my dress, dad giving me wise words of advice before walking down the aisle, a first dance snapshot which we can't wait to enlarge for our home, and Gabe's excitement during the incredible Viennese hour. Marissa was so honest and patient in helping us make selections for our wedding album making sure we chose the best photos to tell the true story of our wedding day. We can't wait to receive our wedding album.
Working with Heyn, especially Marissa, was a beyond pleasurable experience from start to finish. We highly recommend their services to anyone planning a wedding or in need of photos for a special event. If you don't reach out and schedule a meeting with Heyn, you're missing out.
