Delicious!

Cake was delicious! The process of tasting and booking was super easy! They had exactly what we were looking for. I just wish they would have called for confirmation on the week of the wedding, but I just reached out to them to confirm everything was still good.

Delightfully delicious!

Herman's Bakery did not disappoint as the choice for our wedding desserts! We were invited to visit the bakery in advance of making our decision in order to sample the various flavors and options that could be offered for our desserts. We selected a tray of assorted cupcakes and a strawberry shortcake sheet cake, which turned out to be the highlight of the night. Many guests opted to take home their cupcakes to indulge in the strawberry shortcake sweetness while it lasted. Everything was beautifully organized and arranged and safely delivered well before the start of the reception. I love Herman's Bakery! They did a fantastic job for our wedding, and I would highly recommend treating yourself for any occasion (or for no occasion)!

Best cake ever.

After stopping at many bakeries and being dissatisfied with the way I was treated. (You expect to be treated a certain way when your planning on dropping 7-800 on a cake.
We walked into Herman’s and right away we were seated and looking at books. I wanted burgundy Cala Lillie’s which 3 other bakeries told me it was impossible.
They help me customize my cake to the way I wanted. Picked a tool work off of one cake, the layout off of another cake.
Oh and let me tell you about the buttered pound cake.....we had no cake left to take home but the top tier. Everyone loved the cake.
So about price. It was $359.99 for a 3 tiered cake that fed 125 people and 36 cupcakes.

Absolutely loved my cupcakes and top layer cake. The owner of Herman’s bakery has a daughter that I went to elementary school with and we have grown up together. They really went above and beyond on every detail and color scheme that we had for the wedding. Everything was so delicious. I can’t wait to use them again.

Herman’s Bakery baked the most delicious cake for our wedding! They worked with us to create the perfect design, and a different flavor for each tier of the cake. Our guest couldn’t get enough, there was no cake left at the end of the night! I highly recommend Herman’s Bakery- they’re a classic Baltimore bakery who does beautiful work for an affordable price.

My wedding cake was absolutely gorgeous! Hermans did such a great job. I have them a picture and they did exactly what I wanted. Although I didn't get to eat a real piece the day of my wedding, what got shoved into my face by my husband tasted really good! They were also very reasonably priced compared to other places I looked at. I highly reccomend them!

Adrienne was very helpful. She took what we envisioned and made suggestions of how to make it happen. She helped us choose the appropriate sizes and layers. The cake turned out beautiful and everyone loved how it looked and tasted.

If you are looking for a simple but beautiful cake at an unbeatable value, Herman's is the place to go! They were flexible in setting up a tasting based on our individual preferences, adapted a standard design onto a round cake rather than square (which saved me money), had no problem at all with my changing the delivery time, delivered the cake on time in spite of some of the worst road closures and traffic Baltimore sees (because I was married on the Saturday of Running Festival weekend), and the delivery driver even refused the tip we offered! Pro tip: try the lemon curd filling! Guests are still talking about it -- and I'm still enjoying the leftovers -- a week later.

Using Herman's for our wedding cake vendor made everything super simple. They have affordable and beautiful cakes. The whole process was seamless, from the tasting to the delivery. I was recommended to them by a friend and I am very glad, I was. Everyone said the cake was absolutely delicious!

LOVE the Strawberry Short cake!!! We had a two tiered cake and even though it was a little more than I wanted to spend...it was fantastic!

Tasting was awesome. There were so many flavors and fillings to choose from. They were easily able to match the design I wanted and my colors. I did add an additional color about 2 months before and it was no problem. The cake looked good and tasted delicious. I got a lot of compliments on the cake!

My wedding cake turned out absolutely beautiful! It was a strawberry shortcake wedding cake! Everyone loved it! Herman's Bakery also provided all of the other desserts at the wedding- chocolate covered berries, mini cupcakes, mini black bottoms, mini Danish, fudge top cookies etc. I would highly recommend them to anyone that wants a delicious and beautiful cake!

Best Bakery in town. Have been going there for over 20 years. made the cakes for our wedding reception and everyone said they was the best.

My first birthday cake was from Herman's and my family continued that tradition for 33 years. That is why I chose them to do my wedding cake. It looked amazing and just like the picture I gave them. Adriane was very professional and very genuine. I will continue to use Herman's for many years to come.

Ordering our cake was one of the easiest wedding tasks we had. Using a local bakery was important to us and Herman's did not disappoint. We went in for a tasting and chose a few potential designs that we liked. When the time got closer I went back, dropped off a topper and some ribbon, said "make me a beautiful cake!" and they did!

Great cake! The staff was so helpful in designing the cake, and making it just as my daughter had dreamed of. It was beautiful, with so much extra detail. So many compliments from the guests! Delicious!! Thank you Herman's bakery

I ordered cupcakes for my wedding from Hermans and was very pleased! I priced around before deciding, and Herman's was the least expensive for what I wanted (which was nothing fancy). I liked how I told them what I wanted and how I wanted it. They didn't try to sell me anything or make me add things that I didn't want! I truly felt like I was in charge- and they just did what I said. I even provided them with the cupcake toppers and stand, with no problem!

There is no other cake designer or bakery that remotely compares to Herman's in our opinion. This is why they were the one and only bakery considered for my daughter's wedding cake. They did an absolutely amazing job and the cake is still being talked about! From the design process to the cake flavors, delivery, set-up, etc...Herman's is unmatched in professionalism, quality and price! Thank you again

a local bakery but has the best yellow cake ever... moist and creamy!!!the owner was just wonderful... making sure that we will get the cake design that we want...we actually ordered our friend's daughter's first bday cake here too...

My cake turned out more beautiful then I imagined. I provided a picture of what I wanted and they made it identical and even better than the picture. They were easy to work with and the flavor was excellent!

Herman's was FANTASTIC with my wedding cake. They were able to accommodate a last minute tasting request (no other bakeries would see us on our schedules!), and were the most friendly, down to earth people! We loved the pound cake and the carrot cake, but since the cream cheese icing couldn't be dyed, we went with pound cake and the traditional icing. They did a great job replicating the design I brought in, and the cake turned out just wonderful (and it was even tasty!). Their prices were much more reasonable than other bakeries, as well. We'll definitely be using them again.

Herman's bakery was a wonderful experience! The first time we went there, we tasted the different kinds of cakes and icings. We asked the staff questions, and they gave us a lot of ideas to go home and think about. The second time we went to Herman's we placed our order for our wedding. The staff really took a lot of time with us to make sure our cake was exactly how we wanted it. Our cake looked and tasted amazing!! Next time we need to order a cake or a dessert, it will definitely be from Herman's!

Herman's Bakery is a family owned business and we enjoyed working with the staff to create our wedding cake. The cake order was suggested in such a way to save us some money, which we greatly appreciated. They delivered well out of the immediate area to the bakery. The bakers worked with us to create a cake that was in keeping with the flavors of the season, and we received many compliments on how delicious the non-traditional cakes were for our reception.

Our cake was not only beautiful, it was fresh and delicious. We saved the top tier (we cheated and ate it on our 6 month anniversary) and it tasted just as good as it did on our wedding day!

Our Strawberry Shortcake Wedding Cake was delicious and Beautiful!!! Herman's Bakery did such a wonderful job on our 3 tier 100 guest wedding cake. it was so beautiful and tasted so good. The price was below our budgeted amount. The staff at Herman's was informative and helpful. I highly reccommend Herman's Bakery. Their website is www.hermansbakeryandcatering.com. HERMAN'S SAVED OUR WEDDING! We ordered our wedding cake from Herman's, a small 2 tier, and picked it up for our wedding. After the dog knocked it over and crushed the cake, we went back to Herman's and they fixed it like new! The cake was beautiful and tasty! Just what we needed! Thanks so much!

We went with Hermans Bakery as our cake vendor. The owner Cass is a very nice lady who hosted our cake tasting. We went with the Chocolate, Vanilla Marble cake. The cake at our cake tasting was a little dry, but still tasted good. The overall price for a 3 tier cake was under $300! So we were happy we received a good price on our cake, and that was the main reason we originally went with them. On our wedding day the cake tasted DELICIOUS!!! It was a very moist wedding cake, one of the best we have personally ever had!!! Also, Since our reception was in Dundalk, there was no delivery fee on the cake. I highly recommend Hermans Bakery to anyone looking for an affordable cake vendor!

Hermans Bakery is a wonderful bakery that made my cake look out of this world!! They are a family business and take pride in making sure they provide wonderful service. They answered every question that I had and I went into the bakery several times with questions and everyone was kind and patient!!!

My husband and I were very picky about our wedding cake and had some trouble finding one that we loved for a reasonable price. When we came into Herman's they were so helpful and the samples were amazing. We went with the strawberry shortcake (seriously one of the best things I've ever had) and were not disappointed. They decorated the cake exactly as we wanted and everyone came over to tell us how delicious it was!

I use this bakery for everything but this was my 1st time using them for a wedding cake. I am a visionary so i designed my cake over the phone and they made exactly what i said. They bought my vision to life. They were so seamless i had to ask is my cake here. Cake was delicious and beautiful plus cost efficient. Love Hermans. Oh BTW don't worry about the location, they deliver.

Overall, I was VERY unhappy with Herman's Bakery. The wedding cake was the only thing that did not turn out nicely on the day of the wedding. My parents volunteered to help scout out a baker for the wedding and we settled on Herman's since my dad knew the bakery since he grew up in Dundalk. They were not a bakery that I was previously considering, but I decided to go with them against my better judgement. First off, the quality of service was BAD. We would set up a time to meet, drive 45 minutes to the bakery, get there and the person that was supposed to meet with us wasn't even there. An hour later, someone scrapped together a tasting plate for us. If you want a baker that puts any kind of effort into the tasting, than Herman's is not the place for you. I waisted many Saturdays at this place.

For the most part, the staff is not friendly and make you wait FOREVER. One person was particularly rude and actually made a rude comment to us. Not a good approach to getting or maintaining business. On several occasions, we were very close to walking out, but I ignored my gut instinct and we stayed with Herman's.

On the day of the wedding, the cake had fallen in places, was the wrong color, had a key decorative piece in the wrong place, looked very sloppy and didn't taste good. We had also order 25 dozen chocolate covered strawberries that were not decorated how we asked. I didn't let it bother me since it really wasn't important in the grand scheme of things, but I still hate looking at pictures of it since I was so disappointed with how it turned out.

Herman's may be okay to get a kid's birthday cake from (as long as you don't mind waiting forever when you pick it up....we witnessed a lot of waiting while we were waiting) but I DO NOT recommend using the bakery for a wedding.
