Heritage Country Club - A Dream Come True !!!
Heritage Country Club near McKinney Texas was the best choice of our entire wedding plans and experience. The club offered a large ballroom for our dancing needs and extended even further for all the tables we needed for our guests, dinner and bar. We used the stage for flower displays and their large screen was perfect for our slide show and videos. The food was provided by their on-site restaurant services and we continue to hear from our friends about the delicious meal selections for the appetizers and dinner. The building was beautiful inside and out, with many flowers and a huge Pecan tree to take additional photo of us and our wedding party.
Most of all, our plans and execution for this venue were addresses meticulously by Patty Wake. She was the perfect hostess, planner and helped us understand the best layouts for tables, cake displays, DJ, etc. She even helped us with our schedule at the venue to plan each activity down to the minute. She is absolutely perfect for this complexity of wedding venue planning and services. Thank you so much for making our wedding absolutely perfect in every way. My daughter married on April 2, 2022. Patty was an absolute gem to work with. She patiently answered all questions in a timely way, and she stayed by our side throughout the wedding day preparations and ultimately the fantastic reception. The food was outstanding and the service incomparable. Patty obviously knows knows her business! We searched throughout the North Dallas Area for an elegant yet reasonable venue, and we could not have made a better choice. Our guests remarked over and over how perfect it was! Liz F.

Patty is the reason why we picked this venue. I went to every club in the DFW area and she is by far the best. She was accommodating even during covid. We are so happy we went with this venue and you wont regret it! -

We absolutely loved our experience with Patty and Heritage Ranch. When we priced them with other nearby vendors, they less by far, but also a higher quality than the others. The food was amazing, the venue is beautiful, and the service was perfect. Definitely book your event/wedding here. You will not be disappointed. -

Okay this review is going to be lengthy! We are married at Heritage Ranch on 7/6/19 and it was perfect.
First off, the drive up to the venue is very pretty. It's in a private residential area and you check in at a gate with a guard so it feels very fancy. Then you drive down a long path with water features, ponds, pretty houses, and well-maintained grass. Since it is a golf course the grass is very lush and manicured.
The parking lot is huge and there's a covered drop off area at the front doors which is very convenient for guests. Speaking of the front doors, they have gorgeous ornamental iron rods and are very tall and grand. Oh, and the drop off area has a big star on the pavement so it is not just concrete it is decorated. There are so many details like this that make the venue next level in my opinion.
The layout of the venue itself is very functional. We opted to rent out the whole thing (cafe and bar area for cocktail hour, outside ceremony space underneath 100 year old pecan tree, and the balloon). Each space flows in and out to the next space very well. The get ready rooms were very big although I would critique there were not enough mirrors so we brought our own. However, one of the get ready spaces has 2 pool tables, access to a bar, and an additional cafe area. The ballroom itself is very spacious and the dance floor is huge!! I visited many venues and this place had the largest dance floor. There's a stage in the ballroom where we seated the wedding party. It was nice that we were elevated so that way all the guests could get a good view of us at the party. It was like no one had a bad seat in the house!
So I am also a theatre person and this ballroom had a cool lighting set up! They even have an elegant gobo to sign on the back wall of the stage so it doesn't even need much decoration.
The food is made in house by the country club chefs and IT WAS AMAZING. We chose the braised beef with gravy, mashed potatoes, veggies, and the chicken penne. It was came with salad, fruit display, and cheese and cracker display for cocktail hour. We decided to add some meatballs and bruschetta a la carte for cocktail hour too. (We added those hot apps the week before the wedding and the venue was super accommodating with this last-minute add on). So many people said they loved the food.
We were able to drop off our decorations 2 days before the event in boxes which made the day of the wedding less stressful. The venue has a supply of their own decorations which we were able to use too! This included: votive candle holders, high top tables for cocktail hour area, square 12'x12' mirrors for ballroom table centerpieces, easels for signage (seating chart, welcome to our wedding, etc), and a giant floral centerpiece at the entrance/foyer table. Renting or buying high top tables and easel would've been very expense so the fact the venue provided them made it more all inclusive! And they have linens too for all the tables! The outdoor ceremony chairs are very nice and white too.
Additionally, they set up everything ahead of schedule. We were supposed to arrive to the venue at 2pm on wedding day to decorate but I received an email the day before letting me everything was ready! This meant I could get there even earlier! The day went by so smoothly with no bumps. Time management was excellent there which was soooo important to me.
Okay now let me tell you about Patty the venue coordinator. She is the nicest and very professional. I emailed her far too many times and she was always quick with a well-informed reponse. She never made me feel bad for all my many questions and to do lists. Patty was very organized and knowledgable. She was present the day of the wedding and made sure everything was on track all with a positive attitude.
Please go see this place in person and grab lunch there. It was amazing and we are so happy with our decision in this venue.

Beautiful wedding venue!
I was able to have the wedding of my dreams here. Everything exceeded my expectations. The beautiful ballroom was perfect for 150 people. The outdoor grounds are beautiful and we were able to lots of beautiful pictures, especially at sunset. All our guests loved the venue and for the price I don't think you can find anything comparable in the DFW area. I looked around for a while and was very disappointed with the choices. The moment we stepped into Heritage Ranch and talked to the coordinator, Patty, we knew it was the place for us. Patty did an amazing job at coordinating everything and would respond almost immediately to all my emails and questions. I'm very thankful we found this venue. We had a great time at our wedding and a lot of it was because we didn't have to worry about the logistics, the staff at heritage ranch took care of all the little details. The food and beverage minimums are very reasonable and so is the rental fee. Awesome find! -

Excellent service from a team that truly cares about making your wedding a day to remember.
Patty and her team are the definition of professional. She does everything to ensure you have not forgotten details and helped us accommodate ideas that made our wedding day a true dream come true. Patty was there to greet guests and stayed to help coordinate the reception timeline. The food and drinks were fantastic! The amount of guests we had made for a beautiful and intimate atmosphere. From the moment we walked in the reception we were greeted by Patty and was amazed that all our ideas unfolded as planned thanks to her and the Heritage Ranch team! -

Bella Sent on 08/28/2018This place is a perfect place for your reception if your style is a combination of country and elegance. They have a stage that made our head tables stand out and the guests did not bother us at all when we're enjoying our delicious food :D Their oversize dance floor helped the guests feel more comfortable to get on there and not feel crowded. They also have a beautiful hall for guests to sit while waiting, and a nice patio for guests to sit and take pictures. The coordinator, Patty Wake, was really easy and helpful to work with. Whenever we contacted her, she would be there or call us back at her earliest convenience. She took care of everything and sent us all the information we needed within minutes. We were really happy to have her. We had a wonderful experience with this venue!

Amy Sent on 09/30/2015Beautiful venue. Everything turned out perfect. We didn't need any outdoor decorations for our ceremony because the natural scenery under the big tree is just gorgeous. Patty was very easy to work with and always very quick to return my calls and emails. I really appreciated her timeliness!! The reception in the ballroom was perfect. We had our wedding party table up on the stage and they provided a beautiful damask background. The whole room looked beautiful and the event staff was very attentive to our needs. Our wedding was perfect - thank you Patty and Heritage Ranch!! -

My fiancé and I visited over 15 different venues in the DFW metroplex, seeking a venue for our ceremony and reception. We wanted an Elegant, Princess Themed wedding and my focal point would allow me to see my Husband’s face as soon as I stepped into the room. Additionally we wanted an intimate, warm, cozy, homey feel to the venue hosting our celebration of love, family and unity. Heritage Ranch Golf & Country Club (HRGCC) was the last venue we viewed and offered EVERYTHING we required to fulfill our theme and focal point! The venue it self is beautiful, well maintained, and serine; providing us the warm, cozy, homey, sense we were seeking. Working with Patty planning my day was enjoyable and comforting. She responded to my calls promptly and even notified me when she'd be out of the office providing a backup point of contact. Those were the intimate details we sought. Patty was knowledgeable and assisted me with other vendors to help make my day successful! On my Wedding Day, I was immediately greeted by Patty and her genuine hug (which I got every time I met with her)! Patty and my wonderful friends who were my Wedding Day Coordinators worked in unison to resolve any issues that day ensuring I was able to JUST ENJOY MY DAY! As a bride, you will want to choose a venue that will add the personal touches to your special day, going above and beyond without haggling you. You will want an event coordinator who is knowledgeable in the field and who can provide expert advice where needed and who is in control of your event allowing you to enjoy the moment. You will want an all-inclusive venue where the prices are up front and no surprises. You will want your guest to rave about their meal, the courteous staff who served them, and the amazing time they had at your event! In summary, you will want HRGCC to host your wedding day! -

Ashley Sent on 09/24/2011Patty is beyond flexible and accomodating and definitely knows how to throw a good party. There were a few small things that didn't go right (noone was around when we were cutting our cake so we stood around for a while, when they did come, they took the cake apart in front of everyone, we ordered and paid for 170 something guests but only 150 came... yet we still ran out of one of our main entrees, and then the waiters cleared my serving of cake off my table before my husband and I had a chance to take a bite).
Overall though we loved everything and can't wait to find an excuse to use Heritage Ranch again.
