I’m so happy we got married at HMOC!

The Heritage Museum of OC is a beautiful little gem in Santa Ana. My husband and I knew after our first tour of the grounds that this was our wedding venue. We have zero regrets. It’s a gorgeous space! The house is beautiful and the grounds are well maintained year-round. Not only that, but the staff at the museum are so wonderful and easy to work with. Kaitlyn was our venue coordinator and she was fantastic from day one. She answered all of my endless questions throughout the wedding planning process and was always incredibly patient, helpful and kind. She really calmed my nerves the night before and the day of the wedding. The venue was also super flexible with last minute rainstorms. The canopies didn’t take away from how beautiful the venue is. I highly recommend getting married here rain or shine!

    Best Day Ever

My wife and I got married on July 14th of this year and let me just say it was THE BEST DAY EVER. Heritage Museum was by our side every step of the way. Jamie made sure the beautiful property was emmaculate on our day and Jenn made sure our ceremony went smoothly and beautifully. You could not ask for a more beautiful venue or genuinely caring staff. Picking Heritage Museum of Orange County was the perfect choice for our day without a doubt.

    Wedding Dreams Do Come True!

HMOC is SO beautiful and the staff are the best! The museum is very affordable for the amount of space and the elegance. Everyone there went above and beyond to make our special day feel unique and completely perfect for me and my husband. Jamie is literally the sweetest person! Between her and Diana at Country Gardens, the two of them kept us sane in the wedding planning process. Jenn and Naomi were super helpful, too! Thank you, HMOC!

    HMOC was incredible!!

I can't say enough about Heritage Museum of Orange County! We had our daughters wedding and reception there in November and the venue was all we had hoped for and more!! The grounds were kept impeccably, the venue worked well for all our vendors and we had so many people comment on how beautiful everything was. Working with Jamie and Naomi could not have been more fun and the way they answered every question and met every need was amazing. I would, without hesitation, absolutely recommend HMOC for anyone's wedding and reception...it will forever be a special place to us!

    Best Venue

If you're looking for an outdoor rustic venue, then I suggest you stop looking because you've found it. Its such a beautiful location for a wedding especially at night. The staff is just amazing and quick to respond to any questions. I heard about this place through a coworker and I fell in love instantly. It was everything I was looking for. My guests could not stop talking about how beautiful the venue is. I couldn't have asked for more. It was just PERFECT! They do provide you with a choice of two different caters and if I may suggest, go with Country Garden Catering they are incredible!

Outstanding venue! My daughter had her wedding on September 23, 2018 at the Heritage Museum of Orange County in Santa Ana. This location was ideal for the weekend as local businesses are mostly closed and traffic or parking was not a problem. Nestled inside of a business district, once inside all awareness beyond the venue itself is lost ... much like being in Disneyland. The setting is beautiful with Victorian and ranch-like surroundings with endless decorating possibilities. Country Garden Caterers is the exclusive company for this venue and they work together seamlessly. We had 300+ guests and it did not feel crowded at all. The promenade to the gazebo was stunning and right out of a movie. Numerous locations for taking awesome photos. We chose the patio area behind the Kellogg House for the reception and even with the large number of guests, we had ample room for a big dance floor and expedient food buffet service.

We worked with Jamie who is FULL of energy and makes you feel like you’ve known her forever, very kind and welcoming! Pricing was reasonable with a few additional perks to the museum to boot. Staff assistance for the wedding rehearsal and the day of was professional and helpful. Jenn and her assistants knew exactly what needed to be done, when and where, taking much of the stress off our shoulders.

I would gladly recommend the Heritage Museum as wedding and reception site as well as a multi-occasion celebration venue. Thanks you Jamie and Heritage Museum staff.

There are not words to express just how amazing my wedding was on July 14, 2018. From the chandelier adorned gazebo, to the colorful rose garden, to the fresh citrus grove, my husband and I were living all of our wedding dreams. Heritage Museum is a non-profit organization that dedicates its time to educating the community about Orange County history. They provide opportunities for students that are one of a kind. They also just happen to be amazing enough to additionally make wedding dreams come true! Jamie Hiber is a bubbly, hardworking, passionate, and truly "all-in" coordinator who runs weddings and events at the museum. With she and the incredible staff, our wedding was perfection. If you are looking for a beautiful outdoor venue to host your big day then you have found the right place!

When my maid of honor and I first visited Heritage and met the events coordinator, Jamie, we fell in love! Then my fiance and family fell in love and at the wedding our guests were head over heels in love with this venue! Jamie and Naomi were so much fun to work with were super professional and helpful. Jamie truly loves this museum and loves her couples which makes it so much fun to work with her. The venue was beautiful, clean and we didn't have to worry about anything at all during the whole process. The best part is the cost was very reasonable and it's a nonprofit that both my husband and I are proud to now be a part of. Thank you Heritage Museum for the best day ever!

We LOVED getting married at this perfect venue! The events coordinator Jamie is so wonderful to work with! She is so responsive and fantastic! I would email her in a panic about something and she would reply to ease my nerves! She ran our rehearsal for us and everything went so smoothly! This venue is so beautiful and I loved getting ready in the Kellogg house! Everything went wonderfully and we are so glad we chose this place to get married!

The cutest little hidden venue in all of OC! We knew we wanted a local wedding, and outdoors, but oh my goodness venues are expensive in Orange County! I stumbled across this venue through a wedding website, and was introduced to Jaime, the venue’s wedding coordinator… what a bundle of joy! Her excitement for our wedding made me so excited at the possibility for our wedding being at the Heritage. The Heritage was our first venue we looked at when “shopping around”; we loved it at first site, but it wasn’t until we viewed a few other venues did we know the Heritage was the best value and most beautiful all around. The venue day-of was spotless and pristine; the girls got ready in the old heritage house and it felt like a 1920’s dream. Our guests were wowed by the size of the venue (we get the whole lot!) and the charm of it. There are some rustic elements to the venue in the back, but since my husband and I were going for a vintage feel, we simply kept people around the house and rose garden. Easy!
Jamie handled our payments, rehearsal coordination, and orchestrated her staff the day of. It was so much fun working with her. Highly recommend this venue if you’re looking for the WOW factor without breaking the bank!

Our daughter's wedding ceremony and reception was held at Heritage Museum of Orange County on July 23, 2016 and we were extremely happy with this site. It was great to have both the wedding ceremony and reception at one location so our guests did not need to travel somewhere else for the reception. The gazebo is a beautiful setting for the wedding ceremony and the new brick work and fountain in the reception area is terrific and takes this already great site to the next level. Lastly, Jamie Hiber, as the point of contact, was so pleasant to work with throughout the planning process and she expertly handled the wedding ceremony itself with great ease. Made for a memorable day for our entire family. Highly recommended both Jamie Hiber and Heritage Museum of Orange County as a beautiful outdoor wedding site.

BEST WEDDING VENUE EVER! The staff at HMOC is phenomenal. They understand that every couple has a unique style and treat each set of love birds as INDIVIDUAL couples and don't try to push things on you that aren't your style. Jamie is magnificent with keeping up with all of her couples and communicating. The venue works specifically with a catering company and their food is delicious! Diana from Country Garden Caterers was amazing to work with for planning out special day as well. Jamie & Diana both made my wedding memorable, are true professionals, and have hearts of gold! You won't be disappointed if you book this as your wedding venue because it isn't just a great venue, it comes with great people that are passionate about what they do!

My husband and I got married on 8/29/15 and had our ceremony performed at Heritage Museum and it was beautiful! Jamie was so helpful in answering all of our questions. We scheduled a tour to look over the grounds and Jamie gave us some insight into the historic background of Heritage Museum. We got married under the gazebo and were able to get ready the day of on site. My wedding party and I got to get ready in the kellogg house which provided so many fun scenes for pictures. We had a blast! We had our rehearsal 2 days before and Jamie and her team were so flexible and fun in letting my husband and I create the kind of procession we wanted. For anybody that loves their pets as much as we do, they also allow you to have your animal join you on your wedding day if you wish :) My dog walked down the aisle with by husband and his groomsmen to a pennywise song. We had a very non traditional wedding but it was exactly what we wanted. The whole day was beautiful. Jamie was attentive throughout the whole process and kept in communication with me throughout everything. I would highly recommend this venue to anyone wanting a nice outdoor venue.

The Heritage Museum had such a beautiful ambiance for my bridal shower! It was a super hot day in October but our tables were set up in a nice shady area near the rose bushes. My bridesmaids used the gazebo for my gifts and a sign that was perfect for pictures.

All of my guests were so impressed with this hidden gem. Such a beautiful place most don't know exists.

And Jamie... was amazing to work with! Great communication. She is absolutely spectacular. Checked in to make sure everything was set up ok, instructions on outlets and trash. At the end, she made sure we didn't need anything else and that we were all good to go.

This would also make a great wedding venue and/or engagement session location!!

This place is incredible! It truly is a hidden gem in Orange County and it was my dream place for a wedding. It was large enough to easily fit 150 people with plenty of space to spare. It has beautiful gardens, a gazebo, a working blacksmith shop and two Victorian houses from the late 1800s. The Kellogg house can be opened for guests to explore and it's simply a beautiful setting. Jamie was our coordinator and she was delightful to work with. She is so positive and loves helping her brides. She helped our day be perfect.

My husband and I just got married on 5/2/15 at the Heritage Museum of OC and we had such a great time! Our guests have repeatedly told us how beautiful and unique our venue was. Aside from the beautiful orchards, rose garden and gazebo areas, we had the Kellogg House open for the wedding, and our guests also loved the historical aspect of the venue!

One of the best parts of having our wedding here was the wonderful staff! Jaime Hiber, the event coordinator, was absolutely a joy to work with and was so helpful with her quick responses to my emails and her suggestions! Her cheerful and kind attitude throughout the entire process made it so much to work with her. Kathy, who was there on the day of our wedding, helped the ceremony to run smoothly! The staff helped to make the planning for the wedding wonderful and stress-free. We are so happy we chose this venue for our wedding!

I absolutely LOVE Heritage Museum! My husband and I recently got married here this spring. I was a bride on a budget, but I didn't want to sacrifice quality. You can have a relaxed, rustic wedding or you can very easily dress the place up and go for classy elegance. Everything about the process of booking it as our venue was easy and so fun mainly because of their super sweet staff and GORGEOUS grounds. This is probably one of my favorite places to visit, there is something so enchanting about this place.

Once you walk through the gates, you are transported to a magical, vintage wonderland. I took lots of pictures just to help myself remember what it looked like and literally every picture I snapped looked like a postcard. It's very peaceful here and all the staff are very knowledgeable and clearly LOVE Heritage Museum. They work hard to care for this place and I love that about Heritage.

You will interact with Jamie Hiber (venue coordinator) if you want to tour the museum and book the venue. She is literally full of sunshine, cheer, and happiness. You can tell she loves her job. She is genuinely excited for every couple that is getting married and does everything she can to make magic happen. She emailed me back promptly with any questions I had and went above and beyond to help lighten my load pre-wedding. On the day of the rehearsal, she was super peppy and helpful, my bridal party kept saying how cute she was. I could not have done it without her. There is just so much beauty and versatility with this venue for the price you pay, I highly recommend it as a place to get married, I would probably encourage everyone who asks me to get married here. You won't regret it. It will become super popular soon and it will be difficult to book, so book now before they become a hot spot! I know that right after I booked it, they were voted the #1 Wedding Venue in the OC.

The Heritage Museum of Orange County is absolutely gorgeous. We have booked the venue for our wedding taking place June 18th of next year. The Heritage Museum is one of the best venue options we found in OC in terms of cost. Their peak season pricing is incredibly reasonable. If you are looking for an outdoor venue, with an indoor option and a quirky personality, this is your place. Jamie Hiber is the current events coordinator at the museum, and she is a little ball of adorable energy. Jamie is incredibly open to any ideas and super flexible. She really tries to make you feel at ease. What I really love about this venue is its versatility. There are sooo many options for your ceremony and reception. The museum only books one wedding per day, so you have the entire grounds to yourself. No need to worry about random people wandering into your celebration. Do yourself a favor, schedule an appointment to check this place out!

My husband and I got married at this amazing venue on March 27, 2015. We had an evening ceremony that started at 5pm and the reception lasted until 11pm. I truly believe that the BEST decision I made, during the entire planning process, was choosing the Heritage Museum.
Our best man and one of my bridesmaids got married to each other at this venue on October 2010. We had attended the wedding and I remember thinking how beautiful it was. So we decided to use it as our venue as well! This venue is full of trees, flowers, etc. It makes for an absolutely beautiful setting. Everyone at our wedding kept telling us how perfect it was!
I want to give a shout out to the person that helped the most throughout the whole process, JAMIE HIBER. Our day wouldn't have been as amazing without her help. She is wonderful! I bombarded her with a million questions and she answered them all for me so quickly. She is no sweet, nice, helpful, responsive, etc. She made sure that our day was exactly the way we wanted.
You will not be disappointed with this venue. It is perfect....almost like it was out of a fairy tale.

We were very pleased with our wedding at the Heritage Museum of Orange County. The grounds are relaxed and beautiful. Having our event with no other distractions (other weddings at the same time or immediately before or after) was important to us. Tracy Yu, Events Coordinator, and her team were very helpful and professional.

I am an "alumni" of the Heritage Museum. I remember visiting in the 5th grade and once I was engaged I knew that I wanted to get married in front of the Kellogg home. The prices to book the venue were extremely reasonable compared to other museums.
I loved all the photo opportunities that my photographer was able to capture; we actually ran out of time to take pictures because there were so many places that we wanted to cover. My guests loved how beautiful the venue was. Tracy and Betsy were such joys to work with, especially when my bridal party was not paying attention during the rehearsal.

I am very surprised how many people do not know about this beautiful place!

The Heritage Museum was amazing! It was the perfect venue for our wedding. Tracy Yu is awesome and helped us along the way. There are so many interesting things to look at: Kellogg House, gazebo area, rose garden, citrus grove, farming tools, gold mine set, and an adobe house. Thank you Heritage Museum!

We just had our wedding on 9/21/2013 at the Heritage Museum of Orange County. The Heritage is an amazing place! You are able to use the whole property and do not have to choose between sections. The bride and bridesmaids really enjoyed using the historic Kellogg House to get ready in. They are very flexible and will do their best to accommodate your requests. We enjoyed having a live band, a custom outdoor photo-booth, lawn games for kids, and so much more. Their required vendor Country Garden caterers sets everything up perfectly and makes it very easy for the bride and groom. Overall we had a great experience and an awesome wedding!

As soon as we took a tour of the Heritage Museum, I couldn't imagine having our wedding elsewhere. I was so taken by the character of the venue and the variety of surroundings on the property.

The booking covers the entire property, which includes an old Victorian house for the bride to get ready in, a rose garden, a gazebo (where we had our ceremony), an orange grove, a lawn in front of an old purple house that was great for family portraits, a covered area for food and drinks...and more! The venue itself has a lot of natural beauty so if you're on a budget like we were, you can get by with minimal decorations.

On the wedding day, the outdoor grounds gave us a pleasant, warm, down-to-earth atmosphere in a beautiful and romantic setting. Our guests had a great time exploring the property and taking pictures at the many photo-opportunistic places.

The staff is also wonderful. Tracy was very professional and responsive to all of our questions throughout the planning process. She was accommodating and easy-to-work with; I felt like I was working with a friend, rather than someone who I had just met. Tracy also put me in touch with my florist, Katie Doyle from Studio Ooh La La, who did an amazing job for a very reasonable price. Betsy, who was there for our rehearsal and on the day-of, did a great job in making sure everything ran smoothly.

We recently got our wedding photos back and looking at the pictures reinforced that we couldn't have picked a better place. The Heritage Museum provided a beautiful backdrop and many happy memories for our special day.

We had our wedding at the Heritage Museum of Orange County on October 5th. This historical site is gorgeous! The houses and grounds are beautiful. During our many visits I can tell you that no matter what time of year you go, the site is wonderful. It has many fun and unique picture opportunities. Because the site is so beautiful on its own it really does not need much extra decoration. It is really a hidden gem. All of my family and guest continue to ask us how we found it.

Not only is the site great but the staff is too. Tracy is the site coordinator and she is amazing. She is sweet and efficient and very good at getting you answers quickly. Even if it is measurements of certain things on site. Tracy helped us find our florist (another wonderful vendor) as well as hotel lodgings for our guest. With our site rental we also got a membership to the museum which we are looking forward to using throughout the year as they have so many fun events.

We mainly worked with Julie, and she's great! Not only is she the sweetest person, she gets things done! I can't say enough nice things about her, she made the planning process so easy and fun.

As for the museum itself, it is an absolutley stunning picturesque site! Our wedding was gorgeous, thanks to the teamwork between our caterer, Jay's and Julie and the rest of the staff at Heritage. The ceremony in the gazebo was perfect, and we had the reception in the shaded area behind the house. We thought it would be a challenge because we had about 220 people but our layout was great. With the rose garden, Kellogg House and everything else on the propoerty, we didn't have to worry about decorating much. It was already naturally beautiful!

We worked with Tracy and Betsy for our ceremony/reception at the Heritage Museum in Santa Ana. Tracy helped us file all the paperwork, sign contracts, pick our ceremony and reception times, and get insurance for the site. Betsy aided in answering questions and being on hand the day of to lift my train and guide us through the day.
We had both our ceremony AND reception at this site which was perfect. Going from the gazebo into the garden for cocktail hour then flowing into the patio area for dinner made things simple and easy to work with. The guests were in awe of our venue. Many have vowed to go back on their own time to visit the museum.
We felt that the venue was an asset to our vintage themed wedding and we felt that we got more than what we paid for. We had a lawn for games, a garden for cocktails, a gazebo to be married in, the use of the big house for the bridal party and to sign our license. Then we had the patio and backyard area for our reception and more than enough room to dance. It was perfect and we are very pleased with our choice to use this site as our ceremony/reception venue.
A word of caution is to make sure you follow up with your communication and make sure you get responses. We had little trouble communicating with Tracy but there were some typos and glitches with our paperwork from the accounting department that Tracy willingly helped us fix. Nothing drastic but just a note that you might need to follow up with some of your emails/calls.
We loved this place. It's stunning and so big. We couldn't have picked a better place to start our life together!

This site is GORGEOUS! We fell in love with it at first sight. Our guests were floored with how beautiful everything was. We didn't even need a lot of decorations since the ambiance was already there. The staff is helpful and friendly and it was very easy to get a response whenever I needed something. Every time I visited the site it was more and more beautiful. They are constantly making improvements. I highly urge you to check this one out!

My fiancé and I are getting married at the Heritage Museum in about four months, but already we have been so pleased and impressed with this beautiful location, and especially with Jamie's service! From what I can tell, all the 5 star reviews are completely deserved. Jamie has been so extraordinarily sweet and helpful, always responding to my questions and making me feel special and cared about. I remember the very first time I talked to her before we even booked the location, she just felt like a friend and I sensed she truly cared about me and even understood the stress and confusion that go along with all the excitement of wedding decisions. I continue to be so grateful for her as we continue to move toward our wedding--whenever I have a question, she gets back to me as soon as she can, and always with a cheerful and gracious spirit.

Plus the location is just charming! My fiancé and I both love history, and I've always delighted in "old-fashioned" things, so we are so pleased with this venue. The buildings, gardens, gazebo area, and all are just beautiful without being over-elaborate. I would definitely recommend this location...it has already been a blessing to us. :)

Funny story- my fiance "found" this venue, and when we toured it, I realized I had been there before, on a field trip in 2nd grade! Anyway, we knew this was the right venue for our wedding the moment we got there; it is so beautiful, with lots of places to explore and have fun! Not to mention the historical Kellogg house (for the ladies to get ready- totally great for photos!), the Carriage Barn (for the guys to get ready -hanging out with some beer),and a super fun Blacksmith Shop run by the OC Blacksmith Association. They have an expansive gazebo on a private lawn surrounded by lush trees, where we held our ceremony. However, there are lots of options and you don't have to have your ceremony there. We had cocktail hour by the Kellogg House, then dinner/reception behind it by the patio area. It is already pre-lit with chandeliers and string lights, and was just gorgeous in the evening. We had 120 guests and there was plenty of room! People were raving about what a gorgeous venue this was, and the kids loved the blacksmith demonstration, and just being able to run around and have fun!

    My "things to consider" are:
    1. You are required to purchase day-of wedding insurance (about $180 with wedsafe)
    2. You cannot bring outside catering, choose from Country Garden or Zov's. (We went with Country Garden-awesome food!). Desserts you can do whatever you want, though.
    3. No open flames, so either keep candles in votives or use LED ones.
    4. They are dog friendly :) :) :) We had our dog during the ceremony and that was AWESOME
5.Part of your site fee is tax-deductible!!!
    6. Jamie, the event coordinator, is the perfect person for this job. She loves what she does and shares her joy with you, which makes the process such a wonderful experience. She is truly a pleasure to work with :)
7.You have to pay a security deposit, which is returned about 6-8 weeks after the wedding.

Thank you Jamie for making our reality better than our dreams :)

Loved working with Country Garden Caterers too, food was fabulous! Grounds are well kept and they have a lot of albums with ideas for weddings. We highly recommend this location.

Beautiful venue! Great location. I absolutely loved it there. They worked with our small wedding and were very accommodating. Tracy, the venue coordinator was absolutely great through out the whole wedding process and the wedding day. She took charge and coordinated our ceremony while our "coordinators" were still setting up the reception. The only thing I would suggest would be to make sure that the ceremony had started on time. We had two wedding ceremonies and rushed there to be there before guests stared arriving for our second ceremony. However, our ceremony started late. I'm sure it was out of the their control and Tracy kept assuring me it would be okay but our guests were kept waiting for quite a bit. Overall, I HIGHLY recommend this venue. It is stunning!

Tracy was a great site coordinator who was very quick to answer any questions I had. This is a great venue!! If you want everything to be at one site this is the place for you!! Heritage Museum is beautiful for the ceremony & reception. The bridal party gets ready in a old victoria house. Our pictures turned out wonderful because of the setting. Our wedding was July 17, 2010 and the weather temp. was nice because of the nice breeze in the evening. The staff was very nice to work with.

What. A. Great. Venue. This musuem was AWESOME. It was huge and had everything one site, with lots of great photo opportunities. This place is worth hiring based on the atmosphere and the grounds alone, but here are some other positives and negatives. POSITIVES: $1500 of it is a tax deductible membership to the musuem so the rental fee is only $1500. The venue is pretty flexible regarding when you want to do your rehearsal, when you want to arrive and the vendors you use (aside from catering). There is no noise ordinance so you can be as loud as you want. Sundays are cheaper than NEGATIVES: you can only use Country Garden Catering (or something like that). The venue coordinator, Candace, doesn't help much when it comes to setting up or cleaning (the only thing she did for me was carry out some trash left in the house we got ready in and held my dress after my bridesmaids walked down the aisle). The only time I heard from Candace was when I owed money, I had to organize and plan everything else.

This place is amazingly gorgeous and so fun to get ready at and have our ceremony and reception because the grounds were so big. If you are an organized bride who will take care of almost everything I would highly recommend this venue.

NO existing sound system for ceremony sound to plug in. You must rent that from outside. Extra costs for event insurance. Extra costs to serve alcohol on the premises. Extra costs to pay for REQUIRED museum employees to be present the entire evening of your event as well as 2 required off duty officers to pay if you are serving alcohol. Extra fees if you need to access the facility early or stay late. They do not allow anything but bubbles for the send off.
