Hendrick Moy Photography - 5 Stars!

Hendrick was amazing! He was extremely communicative throughout the whole process and very easy to work with. The actual day went so smoothly, thanks to Hendrick (and David), and we got our pictures back so fast! We had also done an engagement shoot with him and he gives great direction for posing and pictures, which we found very helpful, since we've never been professionally photographed before. Would highly recommend for anyone who also enjoys his photography style!

Amazing Wedding Photographer!

Hendrick (and his partner Carlo) did an amazing job capturing our wedding! They were super personable and easy to work with, and made us feel at ease being the center of attention. Hendrick's guidance on how to capture the best photos were very helpful as well. Unbelievable Photographer & Experience

Hendrick was by far one of the BEST and most important decisions we made for our wedding and he exceeded all expectations. We specifically picked a versatile photographer that could bring out the beauty in our industrial venue (The Roundhouse) and, most importantly, capture all the love on our best day ever. We were inspired by his creativity, edgy use of light, and his calm, friendly demeanor - he absolutely nailed it. From our first skype interview to finally receiving our wedding album, working with Hendrick has been more than a pleasure, and we would recommend him to anyone and everyone.

On our wedding day, we worked Hendrick, his assistant, Jon, and his second shooter, Paul, to death and couldn’t be more appreciative of their skills and enthusiasm. We highly recommend a second shooter because Paul was also able to capture some of our favorite shots! By the end of the night, they had photographed us in every kind of setting imaginable – industrial shots in town; outside with trees/water; unbelievable church shots; in a dark, crowded brewery; crazy dancing candids in our venue; and all our personalized details, etc. We were most touched, however, by the unexpected shots that captured our day and our people perfectly. We barely noticed they were there (Hendrick did mention he was a low-profile ninja!), and we were simply able to celebrate. We trusted they were getting the perfect shots and have a gorgeous album to prove it. He even set up a surprise preview at our reception with pictures from our first look hours prior! The hardest part of the entire process was trying to put all our favorite pictures into ONE album.

There are a few vendors that are worth paying more for when it comes to your wedding, and an amazing photographer like Hendrick is DEFINITELY one of them. We can’t gush about our experience enough and are excited to enjoy and share our photos for the rest of our lives. Thanks Hendrick!!

If I could, I would give 100 stars for our wedding photographer Hendrick Moy.

From our first e-mail until the last picture he took, Hendrick has shown the utmost professionalism, patience & talent a bride could ask for. No matter many questions, ideas & concerns I had, Hendrick always contacted me back immediately with even better ideas & I always felt better.

We first met at our engagement shoot & Hendrick was just as we pictured him- friendly, full of ideas & energetic. We were so blown away by our engagement shoot, we could barely contain ourselves for the big day!!

I had a VERY large bridal party (14 bridesmaids, 2 junior bridesmaids, a flower girl & 2 moms!) & we had a huge hiccup with our hair & makeup, causing my timeline of the day to be totally shifted. Despite this, Hendrick (and his assistant, who was AWESOME) helped organize what felt like a zoo & got the photos we wanted & ones we would have never even thought of to do!

Hendrick is everything a bride should have on our wedding day, a calming force, a patient & mind-blowingly talented professional who will capture what will by far be the best day of you & your husbands life.

I would recommend Hendrick Moy Photographer to my sister, best friend & anyone I met in passing who needed a suggestion. You can't go wrong!!

Hendrick was an amazing find and true "master of the flash". We feel incredibly lucky that he was available and that his prices were so reasonable, considering how much talent he has. Our ceremony was tiny, 16 people in a dimly lit chapel. There was no long walk down the aisle, no bridal party and no wonderful decorations. Still, he and his assistant were able to capture gorgeous photos and the intimacy of the event. He was also incredibly accommodating to all of our last minute needs and incessant questioning since everything was planned in a short period of time. We are seriously considering asking him to follow us around town in our wedding outfits once the weather gets warmer!

We were so happy we chose Hendrick to photograph our wedding! Throughout the entire process from the first time we met him to look at some of his work, our engagement session, and the wedding itself, it was always so great to work with him. He was extremely responsive with any questions I had at any point in time. His work speaks for itself, but because he really knows what he's doing and he is such a nice person in general, he can make an awkward person like myself look totally natural on camera. Throughout the wedding I barely noticed he was around. I was amazed at how many photos he took after the fact. Your wedding goes by so fast, so we were so grateful that Hendrick and his team were able to capture the entire day in such beautiful photos to help us hold onto those memories. Thank you, Hendrick!

Hendrick is amazing! As my husband said, "Definitely worth it." I love all my photographs and received so many compliments. Family members of mine work in the photography business and thought his framing and lighting were fantastic. Both my husband and I do not like being the center of attention and felt awkward, but Hendrick put us at ease. He is so easy to work with and makes you feel comfortable. His assistants are great and had me laughing the whole wedding. He also responds to inquiries so quickly, which is nice when you are in the stress of planning a wedding! When you recommend someone you put your own reputation on the line. I have and will continue to recommend Hendrick.

Hendrick and all of his assistants were awesome for our winter engagement shoot and wedding this past summer! When planning our wedding I came across some of Hendrick's pictures online and I knew I had to call him right away to see if he was available. We were so glad we decided to go with him and were beyond pleased with his work! We've received so many compliments on our pictures and Hendrick has even won some awards from pictures taken on our wedding day. Hendrick and his crew didn't miss a beat especially with our Indian/American wedding. He captured the Baraat, Indian ceremony and all of the intricate details that go into it, beautifully photographed our outdoor Western ceremony, and captured the dancing action of the reception all of which was done so artistically! We would totally recommend Hendrick for his easy going personality, accessibility and turn around time with the pictures as well. His work is definitely worth the money to have a lifetime of memories! Don't hesitate on your decision, because I'm sure he'll get booked for your date if you do!

Hendrick and his team are the best! We wanted to find a photographer who would be subtle but get amazing photographs of our wedding. Hendrick and his team were extremely easy to work with and were the consummate professionals. We have amazing memories and photographs of our wedding but we didn't miss our wedding celebration to take pictures. We choose Hendrick because we had seen his work from a friends wedding and because his style of candid photography is what we really wanted for our pictures. Leading up to the event he was great to work with, always available for any questions and really made us feel confident going into our wedding.
Hendrick was a true professional the day of. He was on time (actually early) and in good spirits. He knew exactly what he wanted to get and was open to any ideas I had.
Through the chaos of getting ready I forgot that I hadn't seen my Dad yet and he was coming out the door towards me. I quickly mentioned to Hendrick, "My Dad is coming and he hasn't seen me yet!!", I remember being concerned there wouldn't be a good picture of this moment, turns out its one of my favorite pictures from the entire wedding. Hendrick did what he does best, and the picture came out better than if the moment had been set up.
Needless to say we were blown away with all of our pictures.
There are some skills that cannot be taught, and the way Hendrick's photography is able to preserve emotionally captivating, heart warming moments is a skill that is unique to him because of the person he is.
We will cherish our wedding pictures for the rest of our lives, and they will forever remind us of that beautiful day. Thank you, Hendrick.

My wife and I hired Hendrick Moy for our wedding on 5/1/15
The second we saw his work online we were absolutely stunned with the quality and the amazing art aspect that was in his photography. We set up a date to meet with him at a local place to get to know each other more and to hear what he had to offer us for our big day. We instantly knew he was the right one. Our package that we picked came with an engagement session that took place a few months prior to our wedding. My wife and I were nothing but exited! The day of the wedding Hendrick was very organized and did not miss one bit of detail. During the reception you would barley know he was there which I also loved how he captured every moment in real time and was alway on the move. Hendrick definitely knows what he's doing. Even when I was running around like a chicken with its head cut off and close to having a panic attack, he was extremely patient and cordial with taking photos. He also able to compose shots on the fly during cocktail hour. I was also surprised with the amazing candid photos he took throughout the wedding.

We could not be more pleased with our decision to have Hendrick Moy photograph our wedding! When we first met Hendrick he was approachable, kind, patient, and attentive. He listened to everything we shared with him from the story of how we first met to what we were looking for in a photographer. He patiently answered all of our questions and then he showed us some of his sample wedding albums. We were in AWE of how beautiful his work is. We left the meeting thinking, wow, he's the ONE! We are SO THANKFUL we chose Hendrick because our photos are INCREDIBLE! On the day of our wedding, he was a joy to work with! Somehow, he managed to be everywhere and see everything without being noticed. Less than 1 MONTH after our wedding our photos were up online! This is incredible because I know many people who have waited 6 months or more for their photos. Before posting our entire gallery, Hendrick posted a link on my facebook page to his blog where he had posted some of the best shots from our wedding. I went to work that day, not knowing yet that the link was up because I hadn't checked my facebook page or my personal e-mail. After work, I checked my cell phone and it was FLOODED with text message and facebook messages. Everyone said the pictures were STUNNING! When the entire gallery went up online, I sat down at my computer and I began to watch a slideshow of all of our photos. I was in a trance looking through the photos and re-living the magic of the day as seen through Hendrick's creative lens. I completely lost track of time and my husband came home to find me staring at the computer and crying tears of joy. Each time I look through our photos, I feel like I can still feel and see the joy and warmth of our beautiful day. Thank you Hendrick, for preserving the memory of the best day of our lives!

Make sure you are sitting down when you receive your wedding photos from Hendrick (which come very fast, by the way), because you will be floored. "Wow," "Oh my God," and "Awesome" are just some of the phrases of excitement you'll say as you review your photos. Hendrick Moy has upped the ante when it comes to wedding photography, and we could not recommend him enough.

While his photography speaks for itself, we can attest that Hendrick is a consummate professional. From day one Hendrick treated us as if we were his only clients: responding quickly to e-mails and accommodating our schedule and wishes. During both our engagement and wedding shoots, he let us "be us," while also giving us some artistic guidance to make our photos come alive. As we reviewed our wedding photos, we wondered time and again how Hendick managed to get so many shots in the middle of the action while, somehow, not causing a scene or disturbing us or our guests.

We knew we wanted to invest in quality photography for our wedding. What we didn't know is how much we would appreciate our wedding photos just weeks after our wedding. What luck to have found Hendrick for our wedding in the Catskills! From the very beginning, Hendrick was incredibly friendly, responsive and professional. We were seeking some flexibility in the photo package as well as working within a set budget, so we could not have been more grateful for Hendrick's approachability and willingness to accommodate our needs. We were also in search of a photographer who valued and perfectly executed a 'photojournalism' feel...and we certainly were not disappointed. We love our photos! When talking about and planning our wedding, we both knew that a highly skilled photographer was something we wanted to invest in. Being photographers ourselves, we spent many hours looking through recommended vendors from a multitude of wedding websites. We reached out to a number of photographers, but from out first point of contact with Hendrick we were immediately impressed with his responsiveness and clarity. We decided to meet, and Hendrick spent an hour with us going over his packages, wedding albums, pricing, etc. We were very impressed, not only by the quality of his work, but also by his demeanor and level of professionalism. Between our first meeting and the date of the wedding, many emails were exchanged. Hendrick always responded immediately and answered our questions honestly and clearly. The day of the wedding, Hendrick and his assistant came to the house where the girls were getting ready. They were easygoing and fun to be around and made everyone feel extremely comfortable. As soon as the wedding started, we didn’t really notice Hendrick and his team much, yet they seemed to have been everywhere. The pictures are phenomenal and truly speak for themselves. Hendrick Moy and his crew are amazing. Hendrick is a true artist and perfectionist with his photography. He literally captured EVERY moment of our wedding day. I didn't meet him in person until the day but emailing with him was never a problem. He answered every question and responded very quickly to everything. The day of our wedding I didn't have too many ideas of what I wanted. I just told him to do whatever he thought and it turned out amazing. My husband and I made a last minute decision on our picture location and it didn't turn out to be as nice as I thought it would be. I was a little nervous on how the pictures would come out because it wasn't the prettiest place. But for Hendrick it wasn't a problem. He made the pictures look perfect. He used whatever surroundings we had, and perfectly placed everyone in every photo, and made them look like they belonged on a cover of a magazine. Its hard to believe that it's the same place in the pictures. And my family and crew were not the easiest to work with. I had a wedding party of 21 people and they were loud, inappropriate, rowdy and crazy, and Hendrick never missed a beat. He even came on the party bus with us a took pictures of us all having a blast. He is the nicest guy, never seemed to get mad or overwhelmed. He never bothered us for anything, sometimes I didn't even notice he was there but he defintely was for every minute. He took the best candid shots of everyone dancing, hugging, having a blast, and looking at the pictures I can relive the best day of my life. I can't thank him enough and highly recomend him, and I already have for people I know planning a wedding.

Hendrick was our photographer for both our engagement photo shoot (April 2013) and wedding (October 2013) in Washington, DC. He was amazing! We were absolutely thrilled with all of our pictures. Every single one of them. In fact, there were so many great pictures, we had trouble narrowing them down for our main wedding album (even though we ordered a 50-page spread)! We had seen his work on his website, so we knew what he was capable of, but he still exceeded our expectations. Words cannot express just how beautiful our images were. His attention to detail and creativity is second to none. The quality of his equipment was also evident in the images he produced. Our parents and friends all agree that our photos were spectacular. Many of our guests even commented that they wanted to hire Hendrick Moy Photography for their future weddings!

Because we live in DC and Hendrick is based in the New York City area, we never met him in person until the day of our engagement photo shoot. That being said, Hendrick did an awesome job communicating with us via email and was open to Skype and telephone calls as well. He responded to all of our emails in a timely fashion. He was also patient and flexible when we were trying to decide which photographer to select and in finalizing the terms of our contract.

Hendrick Moy Photography was worth every penny we spent on our engagement and wedding photos, including the 2 albums and guest signing book we ordered. We could not imagine having another company capture our special day. Hendrick Moy Photography is proof that it definitely pays to invest in quality photography.

And to think he was actually sick the day of my wedding. "I never missed a wedding, and I'm not going to start with yours." Very refreshing words by a very professional photographer.

He's the kind of photographer that eases your nerves. He's very calm and always with a smile. Don't even get me started on the pictures - BEYOND AMAZING! After reading countless reviews and viewing tons and tons of wedding pictures, the wonderful internet brought us to Hendrick Moy Photography. As my husband and I browsed the pictures, we knew Hendrick was the one.

Hendrick was very responsive throughout our emails. On the day of the wedding, Hendrick and his crew exemplified a great deal of professionalism that is equally matched by their personable attitudes. Throughout the day, we felt confident of their abilities and were very comfortable working with them.

When we received the pictures, we knew we made the right choice.

Rare is it that you can have someone take your photograph and feel that they really captured you. The true you. But that is what we experienced with Hendrick. He completely put us at ease from the beginning. He listened to our story and what was important to us on our big day - and the pictures reflect how closely he listened. Hendrick has an amazing ability to capture your emotions. Every photo we look at immediately reminds us of exactly what we were thinking and feeling at that moment. Incredible might not adequately describe Hendrick's talent, but it does touch upon how we feel when we look at our wedding photos. Hendrick encouraged us to just be ourselves and we really just forgot he was there. It just felt natural.

I've been to many weddings and have seen many wedding albums in my time. After seeing so many different wedding albums you start to have an idea of what you like and what you don't like. For my wife; Carol and I, we must say we absolutely love Hendrick's style. It's unique and he thinks of shots and angles you can't even imagine.

When my wife and I were looking through our photos, we were absolutely amazed by some of the candid shots. Hendrick really has an eye; not only on the couple but the surroundings, the venue and places that would be great to shoot. The photos came out beautifully and it was such a pleasure working with him. Carol and I highly recommend him as your wedding photographer.

Looking at Hendrick’s portfolio on his website, you instantly fall in love with the way he captures a hidden smile, a secret gesture and the happiness that comes from within. He has a gift for capturing these priceless and timeless memories and for Jack and I myself, he was the only photographer we wanted to work with. After meeting in person, Hendrick could not have been nicer and more accomodating. He is down to earth and an all around good guy. The day of the wedding, Hendrick and his assistant were right on time and shooting with him was so easy and graceful. We absolutely love how artistic our photos turned out!

What a TREAT it was having Hendrick and Yanshu photograph our wedding. Absolutely the BEST out there! We had Hendrick do a photo shoot back in March of our baby when he was 1 month old and seeing those pictures let us know our wedding pictures would be just as fabulous! And holy smokes, he blew us away yet again! His communication and professionalism outshine anyone or anything I've ever experienced and anyone would be absolutely silly to not choose Hendrick as their event photographer! Thank you Hendrick for creating a bundle of memories for us that'll forever have us smiling, laughing and tearing up(in a good way of course!)!!! We could not have asked for more! Hendrick says that he "aims to please" and his passion for his work truly shows it! Thank you thank you thank you!!!!

After an extensive search of photographers,we decided to hire Hendrick Moy Photography.Hendrick's work truly spoke for itself,he made sure that all of our needs on our wedding day were met.We decided to use a 2nd photographer,provided by Hendrick.Hendrick's 2nd photographer,Haris,caught exceptional shots of the groom and crew,as well as pre-bride arrival at the church.The photos of the church and ceremony are breathtaking.We decided on a location to take our shots prior to the big day,letting Hendrick and Haris' opinions decide what would be best once we got there.The end result is unbelievable.Hendrick's keen eye for the not-so-ordinary pic is what makes him a great photographer and is the reason why we chose him.We are now the couple in Hendrick’s photos that we used to envy. an Next,we made our way to the reception early,giving Hendrick and Haris a chance to scope spots and begin shooting.Later,we snuck away from our guests and took more one-on-one shots,which turned out to be our most prized ones,again their keen eyes for lighting and beauty produced gems.They didn’t leave until we were fully satisfied with their services,and all pictures were taken.For 12 hours,they gave us everything they had,which was deeply appreciated.We waited a few weeks,anticipating Hendrick's work.Hendrick 1st posted teasers on his FaceBook page,then gave us a link to his blog,which we were able to view and share with others.The wait was well worth it.The end product that Hendrick produced more than shows how lucky we were to have him and Haris capture our special day.Viewing our photos takes us right back to that day.The overall loving and fun atmosphere was captured perfectly.We highly recommend Hendrick to anyone that is in need of their special moments captured,whether it is engagement or your wedding day,Hendrick will work with you every step of the way,and you will not be disappointed! One thing we loved about Hendrick was how he posted tons of pictures from his events, compared to other photographers that only post the top 10 or so of each event. There is no doubt, Hendrick is talented and his work speaks for itself. His pictures are artistic, emotional and captivating. This made our decision easy. From the beginning Hendrick was the extremely responsive with emails and phone calls.

The package we got included an engagement session, which was AMAZING! We used the pictures on our wedding website and for the wedding guest book he made for us with our favorites from the shoot. We are so happy that the session was included in his package. When else do you get to take incredible/professional photos? Now we have those memories forever. On the Wedding day Hendrick and his assistant Bonnie showed up early and immediately got to work. They made sure to capture all the little details that were special to us. Hendricks second photographer, Haris, went to my fiancé's hotel and worked with him and the groomsmen. When I saw the photos Harris had taken of them I was completely blown away. He captured really incredible shots taking advantage of the hotel's location, even taking some shots from the hotels rooftop of the guys. Our friends and family LOVE our wedding photos. Hendrick and his team worked tirelessly to capture all our special moments throughout the night. I can't stop looking at our pictures because I love them so much! The pictures take me back to that night and make me emotional all over again. We can re-live the night through the pictures, which is what I had hoped for and Hendrick completely surpassed all my hopes. We are so happy!

Here's the bottom line: If we had to do it all over again, we would choose Hendrick over and over and over again! We hope to work with him again for other special occasions to come. Of course, we would certainly recommend him to all our friends and family because we know they will be blown away too!

My husband and I are both pretty awkward when it comes to posing for a photo but Hendrick made us feel very comfortable and at ease. He's been wonderful and very easy to work with. We love the outcome of the photographs and highly recommend him.

I can't decide if my husband or Hendrick was the best decision I made on my wedding day! ;) I had a particular vision in mind (photojournalistic), and I was prepared to stretch our budget for pictures because I really value photography and wanted unique, special moments captured. This was the one area that I was not going to compromise, and this was the only "deal" my husband and I kept to while wedding planning. (my husband's non-negogiable was a well stocked open bar.. ha). When I stumbled upon Hendricks blog, I was instantly wowed by his talent, and then was further pleased when his services were extremely valuable. I stopped looking around at other photographers and as Hendrick and I exchanged emails and ideas, my decision was further solidified because he was so responsive, personable, friendly and professional. All of these traits matter when you're juggling so many things while planning! On the day of, Hendrick and his other talented photographer (shout out to yanshu!!) were everywhere, yet never in the way. They were polite, creative, happy and respectful. They were also flexible, allowingus to get last minute pictures at sunset, and organized, working effciently with our famiiles to get a couple traditional poses (for nana!). Hendrick and Yanshu had their hands full with a rowdy crowd, but they totally dominated it and got amazing party pictures! Finally and most importantly, we received the most amazing photos of our day - they were delivered chronologically (small detail, but I totally appreciate it) and the pictures captured amazing moments with our loved ones and all the details of the day. I was and still am truly stunned by them. Hendrick has true talent, and puts iphones and instagram filters to shame. The hardest part is deciding which ones to frame! Hendrick, a huge thank you for everything! Maybe see you in Colorado when we start a family?? ;)

Hendrick was AMAZING to work with! I searched high and low in Manhattan and NJ- and lo and behold I found the best photographer right in my county! Right from the get go he was easy to work with. When my husband wanted to change around the contract to better suit our needs, Hendrick worked with us, no problem. We booked him 2 years in advance, and I'm so glad we did! Throughout the 2 years he answered every email, every question, every concern. He helped us search for the perfect engagement picture location, and did an outstanding job with them. I still have people say that our engagement pictures look like "art" and look like they "belong in a magazine." Throughout the planning process he was always there for us, even for unrelated photography questions. The day of the wedding is still a blur to me, but I do remember Hendrick being super unobtrusive. He got amazing shots throughout the entire day! There were things happening at our wedding that I didnt even know about until I saw my pictures! His pictures evoke such emotion; from the shot of my husband seeing me for the first time, to the angle he caught my father and I in our dance- his photos make you feel as if you are there...better yet, the photos just make you feel. Everyone had warned me that the wedding day goes by in a flash- and it did. That being said, I am so thankful that I have fabulous pictures to look back on. I am so thrilled that I used Hendrick as my wedding photographer, my wedding wouldnt have been perfect without him!!

Hendrick was by far our favorite vendor to work with. In the beginning we had narrowed it down to 2 photographers. When Hendrick was so quick to respond to all of my emails I knew we had our photographer! During the entire process from the initial emailing for info to the final delivery of wedding photos Hendrick has been personable, professional, friendly and reliable. He's also very flexible. He worked with us to customize a package that worked for us time, quantity, and budget wise. Hurricane Sandy put a hold on or engagement session but he worked with us to pick a new date and even researched if one of the shot locations I wanted would still be available. He definitely went above and beyond of what we expected! The months leading up to the wedding he did a great job checking in with us and was always so quick to respond to any emails. It was such a pleasure to work with him and his assistant , Justin, on our wedding day. Because he made it a point to keep in contact with us, working with him felt comfortable and easy. Thats exactly what we wanted on our wedding day! We got our wedding photos back in THREE WEEKS! That's insanely fast! Every photo is pure beauty. We are going to have such a hard time choosing which photos to display because they are all so wonderful. They look like they belong in a gallery, they are truly works of art. He takes such unique photos and sees photo opportunities others would miss. He did a fantastic job capturing all the love and joy on our wedding day. Hendrick will be our go to photographer for any upcoming family and life events! He exceeded every expectation we had and his talent is astonishing!

High caliber photographer that won't cost more than your wedding. His work is comparable to photographers that charge twice the price. He's great with both posed and candid shots...for the most part while he was shooting I didn't even know he was there. I would definitely recommend, and I'm glad we chose him for our wedding.

Hendrick did a great job in being flexible to help us capture the group photos that we wanted - in addition to executing his own photographic styles. The work that he and his co-photographer did were wonderful! They captured natural moments very well!

Hendrick Moy absolutely blew me and my husband away! The photos are so artistic and so unlike typical wedding photos that we literally fell in love with them. Hendrick and his team were so professional and knew exactly what they were doing, the photos weren't forced and Hendrick really had an eye for finding the perfect shots. Every photo is amazing and we are having a really tough time deciding which ones to frame. All of our wedding guests commented how amazing the photos are! We couldn't be happier that we chose Hendrick to capture our wedding, the photos are so intimate and really capture all the emotions of the day. I could not have asked for a better photographer. He was also very accommodating when we couldn't decide on a date for our engagement shoot and ended up deciding to do pictures after the wedding and he was very accessible in the time approaching the wedding, answering all of our questions very quickly. My official wedding (ceremony & reception) was in another state. Due to a large number of families and friends in NY we threw reception #2 in NY! I have been following Hendrick Moy Photography on Facebook for some time now so I have seen his work since the beginning. I like his style approach to capturing "special moments" and not the traditional approach all the time. He blogs a lot & keeps up with his fans by updating where and who he is shooting, so as a visual person, I saw his work often. I emailed Hendrick with what I wanted and my budget since it was not a full wedding. He worked with me. The months leading to the reception, I emailed Hendrick & said I'd like a Central Park shoot for my bride/groom shots. I was skeptical at first b/c CP is uptown and with all the traffic/parking etc..i was afraid he would suggest somewhere else. Nope! he liked the idea and as much as I bombarded him with worse-case scenarios of emails, he was calm, always responded quickly and did not make me feel crazy for wanting to shoot at CP--and I LOVE my pictures!! Right after the shoot, we headed to the reception. Hendrick was professional and I did not worry about him b/c I knew that he was going to do the job right. I was able to enjoy the reception fully. At the end of the night, when it was time for him to leave, he let me know-Come to find out he lives 2 hours away from the city--one way! Hendrick didn't mention this to me when we were consulting, nor did he charge me a "travel fee" that is dedication. He blogged my wedding photos up w/in 30 days & finished preparing the reception photos with a secured web link--ready to be viewed with family/friends in 30 days! the turn around time was excellent! I was not expecting to see all the wonderful photos captured so soon! they came out great! Overall, I was very happy with my experience & Hendrick is very dedicated to his business and it shows. Very easy-going guy to work with and he will not disappoint you at all!

We hired Hendrick to photograph our wedding based on a recommendation from one of our friend's. Hendrick is an excellent photographer. Before the wedding, he was upfront with pricing and his services. We met before signing the contract and he provided us with a lot of information regarding his photography style, contract, packages and also advice regarding wedding planning. Our wedding package included an engagement session. Hendrick was a great sport as we drove him around to all our favorite local spots, working him into the night. The engagement photos were beautiful and came in handy for the bridal showers, wedding website, and pictures for use during the wedding.
The day of the wedding, Hendrick showed up on time and was very professional. We opted for one photographer, leaving Hendrick with the job to run between our hotel rooms for the pre-wedding shots. We did a first look, and without us knowing where to take photos, Hendrick quickly thought up some great locations and shots. During the wedding, Hendrick pulled me and my husband out to take some photos with just the two of us, which was a really nice touch. Two weeks after the wedding, Hendrick posted a "first look" on his blog that we were able to send to all the family members. This is an awesome added value (there are no passwords to get on it!). Hendrick's work really speaks for itself in terms of quality, however, I can add that he is also a pleasure to work with.

Like most Brides, I did an extensive search on the internet to find the perfect photographer. My Husband and I wanted someone who did more than just take pictures, but rather capture the emotions of the day. We met Hendrick at a conveniently located Starbucks and right away knew he was perfect for us. We spoke with Hendrick and his wife Chi Chi for nearly an hour, asking them a ton of questions not only about photography but about the wedding. Soon after our meeting with Hendrick we signed our contract. Anytime we emailed Hendrick he responded quickly and was always happy to help. We received our wedding day photos shortly after the wedding and couldn’t have been happier with them- they are absolutely stunning! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Hendrick to any of my friends.

Hendrick was the most fabulous photographer I could imagine! He was so flexible and stepped in at the last moment and came to the rescue after another photographer was unable to fulfill the services for the date. All of our friends have commented on what a truly amazing job Hendrick did. He was able not only to capture all the moments of wedding day but also provided an array of very artistic portraits and detail pictures my husband, family and I were incredibly pleased with!

We did a lot of research before we chose Hendrick. Looked everywhere for an affordable photographer that wasn't just going to take the traditional shots that look like something one of my relatives could take with a better camera.

I reached out to Hendrick and was happy to find him willing to work within my budget, without compromising our needs. He agreed to meet us at our local Starbucks, which we later learned was about 45 minutes from where he lives. Hendrick showed up with his beautiful wife, Chi - very pregnant at the time. We spent about an hour getting to know each other and discussing our options.

We left that meeting, went home and made our decision that night. Hendrick's photos are amazing and his personality makes him an easy person to work with. We mailed the deposit check the next day.

We spoke with Hendrick a few times before the wedding and even sent him pics of shots other photographers had done that we liked.I also sent him a link to my pintrest board so he could see photos I had captured from the internet that I thought were cool.

The day of the wedding Hendrick showed up early, with his assistant Justin. They proceeded to roam around and take pictures of our venue, the personalized items we had, as well as our guests, family, and the both of us. He was easy to work with and even during the cocktail hour just grabbed the shots he needed and went with the flow. Hendrick was there for about 5 hours total even though we barely saw him. We joked later about how "stealthy" he was. He seemed to be everywhere and nowhere at the same time. He captured all of the important moments and many of our guests enjoying themselves.

Within a week after the wedding, we had our first sneak peak, which he posted to his blog and to Facebook, with a tag for me and my husband.

About 3 weeks after the wedding, we had another sneak peak and the next day, he posted numerous photos from our wedding to his blog. Then came the link to the web portal with the over 500 photos he had taken of our wedding. We shared this with our guests and let them know that they were able to order any of these photos that they would like. Additionally, we will be receiving a DVD off all of the photos from our wedding, including the 40 or so that he does his artistic magic to.

Hendrick is an amazing photographer, we feel very lucky to have had him photograph our wedding and would highly recommend him to anyone getting married in our area and beyond!

Henrick was referred by a friend who is also a photographer. He was responsive to all the emails in the beginning and made himself available to discuss anything that I may have in mind before the wedding. I cannot say ENOUGH about how he went beyond the call of duty to really capture the event. Not only are his photos FABULOUS, his personality is easy-going and warm which makes for interaction with him before/the day of/after so much enjoyable. Afterwards, he kept his word for turn-around time (and was actually 3-4 days earlier also). Super thankful that he was my photographer and would HIGHLY recommend him to any of my friends.

After our initial search for a wedding photographer, we were quite frustrated because many high-quality photographers were either outside of our budget, rude, or didn't really cater to a wedding of our size (small, around 20 people). Our light at the end of the tunnel was Hendrick Moy Photography. For an incredible price, Hendrick gave us a full snowy engagement session in Central Park and took several hundred amazing photos at our wedding. His talent is only matched by his kindness and professionalism. Unlike many photographers who will drop the facade of niceness after you sign a contract, Hendrick actually becomes more friendly and really makes you feel like he cares about you and your wedding (because he does!) In addition, he also put is in touch with his friend Nuby De Leon, who is just starting out in the wedding cinematography business. Nuby provided us with a free film-quality version of our wedding! We were quite lucky! Finally, Hendrick is quite flexible in letting you share your photos with friends! Many other photographers charged several times the price Hendrick quoted us and STILL wouldn't let us have digital high-resolution copies or have any reprint/sharing rights. Hendrick, on the other hand, was quite flexible in this regard and so it was easy to find a way to share our photos while still protecting his IP/copyright. I highly recommend Hendrick to anyone looking for a photographer. Get him now so you can say you knew him before he was world-famous :)

Hello future brides! My husband and I hired Hendrick Moy for our last minute January 15,2012 wedding ceremony. Not only was Hendrick flexible with this he made our wedding day a most memorable one. He captured the moments that really most photographers and or candids never capture. He was extremely professional and on time..actually early I was the late one. He made us feel comfortable and natural although it was like 10 degrees out!! Heehee!! Hendricks work is INCREDiBLE breathtaking and absolutely BEAUTIFUL! We could not have chosen a better photographer. Hendrick also did our sons baptism in December in which he captured moments that really took my breath away! My husband and I are soooo grateful.to Hendrick and his assistant ChiChi for being so wonderful to us! We would recommend Hendrick Moy photography without even thinking about it. Hendrick was extremely professional, reliable, and great to work with. He was very responsive via email and put forth lots of energy and effort throughout the entire process (before, during, and after). But the most exciting part is how fast we were able to see professional images from our wedding - after only one week, Hendrick had photos up on his blog! Then, only another week later, we received a DVD of all the images! In addition, the shots are beautiful and creative. We are very pleased.

Hendrick Moy is an excellent photographer! He has an artistic eye, and is very creative! He is great to work with and very professional! I highly recommend Hendrick for any one that is getting married, or even for private functions!

Hendrick and his crew are fantastic! He worked with us for our engagement session and our wedding - what wonderful experience. He captures exactly what you ask and his angles are just beautiful. He's one of those photographers that is everywhere and nowhere all at once. My only comment is be sure to communicate the style the like and where you want to photograph when timing is tight to make sure everything is captured throughout the day! Everything goes by so fast! He's also super accommodating and flexible :)

We could not have asked for a better wedding photographer! A photographer was the one thing we definitely didn't want to skimp on. As soon as we stumbled across Hendrick's website we knew he was exactly what we were looking for. His photographs are not only beautiful but unique and artistic. After seeing our photographs we new we made the right choice. Looking through the online album of the near 1200 photos that he gave us, it really felt as if he captured every single moment and in such a beautiful way. Hendrick was somehow everywhere at once capturing every minute of the night! Thank you Hendrick for capturing our day!!

Hendrick and his staff did an amazing job capturing our special day! The quality and artistic nature of his photos are beautiful. His photos are not the cliche wedding photos as there are not very many posed photos. He managed to capture great shots of everyone and all of the emotion of the day. We have received so many compliments on our photos. We were originally torn on using Hendrick versus a vendor that cost a little less. The extra money spent was worth every penny!
