Awesome Photos!

I booked Heirloom last minute because I was procrastinating while planning my wedding and with all other stuff going on in the world this year. She also had the style of photos that I wanted for my wedding which is vintage, classic, and timeless. She was able to add me on her calendar and even gave me suggestions on the best packages for us to use. She was great! She knew exactly what to do because I've never done any of this before. She helped make sure that all the pictures we wanted taken was done, went down the list of like family members, friends, bridal party, etc. She was also very energetic and always asked to make sure we wanted something done. I would defiantly recommend hiring her for your next event! The pictures turned out so beautiful and amazing! IT was better than I could have hoped for!

Captured the Perfect Moments of my Surprise Proposal

Nothing but great things to say about Rita and her photos! She was incredibly helpful during the proposal planing, very flexible when plans changed (unexpected blizzard that shut down the city!), and captured all of the most special moments of his proposal! We couldn't be happier with our photos and she was so much fun to work with! We would highly recommend Rita / Heirloom Photography!!

Wow! Rita and Jen are top notch. We were fortunate enough to get to work with BOTH of them on our wedding day and they are a seamless team. Not only did they grab all the great candid shots we were hoping for (and do a great job getting all the portraits we wanted), but they were truly engaged with us personally and didn't make us feel rushed. We feel so fortunate to have selected them as our photographers.

We loved Rita and Jen! Working with Rita leading up to our wedding in June was easy and pleasant, and day of they were great! We had a little rain, we so had to cut short our session on the Nelson lawns, and we even delayed the outdoor ceremony by about an hour, so photos after the ceremony were rushed. My husband and I didn't have a first look, so we had to quickly squeeze in a photo session while we were supposed to be at the reception. Even with all the scheduling changes, we got all the shots we wanted, and we LOVED the photos these wonderful ladies took. I know Rita was a little panicked about fitting everything in, but she didn't let me see her sweat, completely followed my lead, and helped make it the best day of our lives! We got married in KC because that's where I'm from, but we live in CA. When we go back to visit with a family, I'm definitely going to find Heirloom again to take our portraits :)

My wedding was three weeks ago. It's taken me way longer to write a review than it did for them to send me a big galley of "sneak peak" photos. Heirloom Photo Company holds itself to a high standard of doing only their best work for every client and you can tell that when looking at their portfolio. Truthfully, I was worried I wouldn't photograph well, but dang, Jen brought out the best in me and everyone in my party and did it effortlessly! I had no feelings of stress with Jen and Rita. They're fun, honest, and keep you relaxed and capture the most genuine, candid moments. If you want your day documented with breathtaking photos that take you right back to that moment, I'd recommend you book Heirloom Photo Company. All of my expectations were exceed and now I have awe-inspiring photos to reflect on for the rest of my life!

Rita and Jen are the best photographers and people in the world. Everything from the engagement photos, to communication leading up to the event, to the wedding day itself, was so easy and fun because Rita and Jen are at the top of their game. On the day of, our families were not the most cooperative or easy to corral, but Rita took charge and made sure things ran smoothly. Our photos are jaw-dropping and we still can’t believe they’re ours. We feel so lucky to have found Heirloom and are so happy we made this investment- we will truly cherish these photos forever and couldn’t recommend Heirloom highly enough.

I picked Hierloom to photograph our wedding (and engagement session) because of a wedding I was in that she photographed as well. Not only was I extremely impressed with the way the photo’s came out for their wedding and how Rita and Jen seemed to capture the essence of the entire day, I was equally impressed with how down-to-earth they both were. Sometimes, taking pictures can make a group feel they have to act/look a certain way but the way they interacted with each other- and everyone else was so relaxed that it made everyone else follow suit.
When it came down to our big day, I was blown away. First off, they came early, stayed late (actually they literally took Ryan and I to our hotel at the end of the night due to unforeseen circumstances). They didn’t waste a second once they arrived. I think the one thing that impressed me the most throughout the process was how genuinely compassionate and caring they both were. It was (unexpectantly) freezing cold for our (mostly outside) venue. Rita literally took her jacket off, to let me wear during our photo breaks. Both Rita and Jen always making sure I was comfortable or if I needed a break from the cold during our pictures. There are countless other examples I could use for this but I’ll try to keep it short.
What I’m trying to say is, the pictures they capture are so genuine and real and reflect each moment of the day so honestly not only because of their skill with the camera, but more importantly how comfortable they make you feel and their ability to make every moment beautiful.

After seeing all of Heirloom Photo Company's work online, I knew they would be the perfect fit for my fiance, Justin, and I. We had the best time shooting our engagement photos with Rita! She made us feel so at ease and we had a lot of fun! The engagement photos we have seen so far are absolutely perfect (we're going to have a pretty hard time just picking one for our save-the-dates :-)). From the moment that I read Heirloom's story and passion for taking pictures and capturing beauty in the moment, I knew they were a perfect fit and wonderful addition to any wedding!

Jen was truly phenomenal and charming and am so excited to have not only her talent as a part of our wedding date, but her great sense of adventure and caring heart.

From our first get together at Starbucks to laughing in the freezing cold and wandering around Westside, my fiancé and I knew we wanted to have Jen as a part of our big day!

She offered great outfit and location advice, which calmed many nerves and answered many questions before our engagement shoot. By the time it rolled around, we felt well prepared and positively giddy with excitement!

Jen celebrated our love with us, and we felt like we were on a mini-date, and able to be ourselves and very natural. Jen identified and captured our favorite parts of being a couple!

We are so thrilled to spend an entire day with her & excited to share our new photographer and friend with our family and bridal party!

I really don't know how to express how amazing Heirloom Photo Company is. Between Rita doing our engagement shoot and then Rita and Jen shooting our wedding, I have had nothing but wonderful experiences. There has never been a time when I was disappointed in what they captured. In fact, they exceeded my expectations and I can honestly say I have never met someone who does it better than they do. Not only are they excellent photographers, but they are excellent people. Throughout my wedding day, they made me laugh (a lot), helped me any way they could, and were always so kind. I feel truly blessed that they were there to capture our wedding day. Tyler and I always said that we wanted our photos to tell our wedding story since they're the only things we will have left to look back on to remember the day. I feel very grateful that Rita and Jen were there, because when we look back on these pictures, every beautiful detail will be there and the memories will continue to live on. I swear, we had the absolute BEST photographer in the world. We recently got our engagement pictures taken by Rita and are over the moon with how amazing they turned out. Her website shows her stunning talent, but going through a session with her- its easy to see why so many people adore her!! She made us feel so comfortable, and kept us laughing the entire session. I HATE getting my picture taken and she made it seem so natural. I didnt even care that we were in a busy park. She helped keep our focus on each other, and our puppies. I never once felt super awkward or posed or that she had anyone on her mind but our little family. You can tell she LOVES what she does, and I feel like that truly comes across in her artwork. Looking over these pictures, I feel like she really captured US. I am so SO grateful for you Rita and your artistic eye!! You truly are a beautiful person inside and out. We will continue to use Rita for everything major in our lives. I wouldn't trust life's most precious memories to be captured by anyone else.

Rita and Jen were absolutely AMAZING to work with!!! From planning for our wedding, to helping stay on schedule that day, to just in general being there for anything we needed they were truly the best to work with. They were sending me photos the next morning and had the blog updated with our pictures the next day, which is very hard to come by as many photographers take weeks even months before you get to see anything. They were such a blast and made us feel relaxed even when it can be uncomfortable to pose, they were ready and willing to go to the greatest lengths to ensure we got every shot we wanted and ones we never knew we did. I highly recommend working with Rita and Jen to capture your special day, I couldn't be more grateful for the fabulous moments they captured and will treasure them for the rest of my life. Heirloom Photo Company is FANTASTIC. We worked with Rita for our engagement shoot and our wedding day. I am so impressed with how the day of photos turned out. Rita and team went above and beyond. She was by my side the entire day and acted not only as our photographer, but our day of coordinator. She was constantly providing input that simplified any hiccups that arose. What every bride wants is to relive her wedding day. When I opened my wedding gallery from Rita and Jen, I instantly was taken back to that day. Rita and Jen capture moments better than anyone I have ever seen - in every photo I could actually feel the joy and love, the fun and excitement, and really felt that every photo spoke of that day and everything it meant to my husband and I. I got to see pictures of things that truly mattered to me - of the big moments, the looks in spare moments, the details that so much thought went into. I got to experience what my friends and family saw and experienced, and how they felt. They captured everything I could have hoped for and more. I don't want to be cliche, but they could not have given me a better memory of that day. I have never seen something so uniquely fit my husband and I.

Not to mention, they are awesome people. Seriously, after my first conversation on the phone I wanted to just call them up to hang out. They are so genuine, warm, and fun - and that matters on a crazy day like your wedding day. They are not only talented but so thoughtful and caring, I honestly really enjoyed them being there and hanging out with our wedding party, everyone loved them. They are so easy to work with, and with planning a wedding being so complicated, it is refreshing to work with genuine and transparent people.

My family and I are currently trying to think of anything we can have them come photograph again- we loved them so much!

Rita and her team were simply amazing. They were one of the best parts of our wedding. Rita was super friendly, honest, and helpful from the very first time I met her. Where do I start?... I guess I’ll begin with the obvious and talk about how impressed my new husband, Ben, and I are with the photography. The photographs were clearly of the highest quality and beautifully done. We are in love with every photograph. Rita and Jen are experts. We received quite a variety of photographs from the day and I especially loved how they captured the little details. It not only felt like they captured the memories but also the “essence” of the whole day.
Jen and Rita truly delivered on providing us with the high quality photographs that we hoped for but they did so much more than their initial duties. They took the time to photograph some of our favorite couples and families; I know that they will cherish these photos and we will love having them, too. At one point, my sister wanted a picture of her and her boyfriend. Rita took some pictures on her iPhone so they wouldn’t have to take a selfie and even took some on her equipment. That was just one example of how they went above and beyond.
These photographers were such a team. They had the best attitude and were so fun to work with. They made us smile effortlessly when taking pictures and they were and are such genuine people. They made us feel so special. Another advantage to hiring Heirloom Photo Company was how promptly we received the photographs. They knew how excited we were to see some of the pictures and had even showed us a few before they left the wedding on the day of! We received edited sneak peeks merely days after the wedding and even received the whole package less than a month after the big day. The photos turned out amazing and they will be cherished for many years to come. Choosing Heirloom Photo Company was one of our best decisions in the wedding planning. I would recommend Heirloom to any future bride and groom. It will be one of your most valuable expenses at your entire wedding.

Listen up, ladies (and gentlesirs!): If you want jaw-dropping, gorgeous wedding photos, you will FIGHT tooth and manicured nail to book with Heirloom Photo Company. Whenever I showed off my wedding photos, the most common response was the exclamation, "Who did your photos?! They look like they're out of a magazine!" And they absolutely do.

I worked first with Rita, who literally had to make special arrangements so that Heirloom could shoot my wedding. I was on an extremely tight deadline, and despite being the worst bride ever (who waits weeks before the wedding to book the photographer?!), Rita had me laughing within moments of our initial phone conversation and assured me all would be well. Then I Skyped with Jen, who was our photographer for the wedding. She is cute as a button (and has some awesome life stories; just ask her!) and is also INSANELY, EXCEPTIONALLY good at her job. Not only were the pictures phenomenal, Jen made me feel like I had another friend at the wedding. At one point before the ceremony, I was nearing a meltdown, which Jen saw coming and gracefully steered the social situation to calmer territory by negotiating how we would take photos--it was masterful!

I had asked Jen to try to shoot as much raw emotion as possible--for better or worse!--and the photos she returned were so much more than I could have ever hoped for. A wealth of human emotion is captured in these photos; everything from happiness to sadness, from joy to disappointment, from silliness to seriousness...now I understand why Rita and Jen's company is called "Heirloom": I can't wait to pass these down to my children and their children, or to reminisce about my wedding day with my husband, who will always be as handsome to me as he was on this day that Jen photographed.

To Rita and Jen: A huge, heartfelt THANK YOU for working with me, waiting on me, and putting up with me through this process. Sidd and I can't wait to work with you again in the near future!!!

We were absolutely blown away by Jen's photography, and how she captured the joy and emotion of our wedding ceremony and celebration. Jen was AMAZING. She is so easy to get along with and has such a relaxed vibe. She truly wants to be sure that the bride and groom get EXACTLY what they want out of their photographer. Prior to the wedding, we sat down to go over a few basics and then touched base as we got closer to the ceremony. The photos are absolutely spectacular and all my bridesmaids, groomsmen and family fell in love with Jen - she is so sweet and did a great job of managing the day. Oh my goodness where do I start with Rita Clark?? She was ABSOLUTELY the best thing that happened to my wedding. Rita was recommended by a friend of mine who used her for her wedding and I LOVED her work. From my first meeting with RIta I KNEW she was my photographer. She is so incredibly talented, has an eye for photo journalism and capturing the moments like nothing I could ever dream of. Her photos of my wedding absolutely blew me away. She sent me some sneak peaks the day after my wedding and I instantly started crying. I am actually crying now writing this review as she gave me the greatest gift for beautiful photos that will last forever! The pure joy she has in her work is intoxicating! She captured every SINGLE EMOTION of that day in BREATH TAKING photos. I can never thank Rita and Jen for giving my husband an I exactly what we wanted in a photographer. Rita is a beautiful person and now a friend of mine. She listened to what we were looking for in a photographer and gave us photos that were BEYOND our expectations. She enjoys her work so much and made me feel like I was the only bride in the world. She was so involved in our wedding and gave 100% to us. Book Heirloom! Jen did the most amazing job on our photos. I will cherish them for years to come as they portray exactly what was happening on our day. Oh my goodness... I don't even know where to begin. Rita and Jen are simply amazing. The best. We initially found Rita and booked her to be our engagement and wedding photographer. Our engagement photos were so beautiful and will be something we cherish forever. Not only is her work amazing, but she is one of the kindest and easy to work with photographers I've ever used. I didn't see her get frustrated or short once during our session, which would have been easy to do with us and our 3 kids, (who are 3, 4, and 5). They had more than a few moments where they were running around like little hooligans and Rita was still somehow able to capture some amazingly sweet photos with such ease. We have had so many compliments on the photos from so many different people! Two weeks before our original wedding date, I called Rita in a panic on a weeknight needing to reschedule our wedding at the last minute, which I realize does not happen often, or ever! She immediately got to work figuring something out and gave us a couple of options for different dates. Jen stepped in for our wedding because Rita was already booked for that date. And Rita was just so amazing and helpful through all of it! Now for the wedding, Jen was equally as wonderful as Rita. She arrived a little early and immediately got to work, I don't think I actually saw her stop even for a moment the whole evening. She was very friendly and easy to work with and I immediately felt comfortable around her. She also had our blog post done THE MORNING AFTER THE WEDDING. I woke up to a sweet text from her with a link to some of our photos that morning! Unbelievable! And the photos are more than I could have ever hoped for. She was able to capture so many sweet moments in a record amount of time. I cannot wait to see the rest! I have written a short novel here... So I'm going to stop but know that I could go on and on and on about how wonderful they both are!

We've all heard it before - after your wedding, the only thing you'll have to remember it by are the photos. And even though I have wonderful memories of our day, there are so many amazing moments that happen during a wedding that the bride and groom aren't able to see. Looking through our wedding photos from Rita was like reliving the day all over again. She captured every last detail with such an artistic touch. After more than a year of imagining how those decor details would come together, it's something you need to have preserved. Our photos also express every last emotion from our day - pure joy, love, nostalgia and happiness. There were moments of tears and moments of belly-aching laughter, and Rita's photos tell the story of our amazing wedding day. I don’t even know where to begin with Rita & Jen… Do I begin with how personable they both are, that they can hang out on a trolley with a rowdy wedding crew and laugh right there with us all while truly capturing the moment? Or should I start with how efficient they are - the fact that I had a sneak peek and wedding album within 48 hours of getting married that I was able to share with so many family and friends is unheard of!! Not only that, but they kept our wedding party in line (which proved to be difficult at times- haha) and before the wedding Rita would respond to all of my emails and texts within hours! Or maybe how incredibly talented and artistic they both are? I cannot count the number of times I was told “that photo belongs in a magazine,” or “that photo is so raw it brought me to tears,” or Justin saying that “their attention to detail is out of this world, it made me want to run down to the art supply store and start painting again!!” Coming from someone with a very calm demeanor, I was unable to sleep the night before our wedding worrying about things that were out of my control, when Rita and Jen arrived that day I trusted them 100% which is so incredibly rare in the wedding industry and it really helped put me at ease. They genuinely wanted to know if there was anything they could do to help throughout the entire day and night!! From our first meeting I knew that Rita was a good fit for our wedding. She is so much fun! I am not one to enjoy a lens in my face and she made that part of the process painless. Most importantly, the photos! All of my guests say our pictures should be in bridal magazines! WOW.... is all I have to say. Rita and Jen made Scott and I's day absolutely flawless! The day started out a bit rough as our vendor for our reception and ceremony site were testing my patience a bit when they had the wrong color napkins placed on all tables, not enough chairs set out and not setup correct for ceremony, venue was dirty, staff not even there until after noon, etc... you get the picture... enough with the negative. Lets just say with Rita and Jen being there at 1:30pm to start documenting the wedding. I had COMPLETELY forgot about all that within about five minutes of them being around. They are ENERGETIC, give great DIRECTION, CREATIVE, SMART, CARING (always made sure I had what I needed), FUN, well most of all FUN and AMAZING at what they do. As awkward as my groom and his friends were, they aren't huge fans of taking pictures or candid shots, as I feel most men are but Rita and Jen got great shots of them as well! I honestly forgot that I hired them to take pictures most of the time because we were doing it and having an absolute blast. I could go on, and on, and on but honestly all you have to do is look at our pictures or any of the others on their website and you will be blown away. I plan on using them both for any sort of professional, or heck any unprofessional pictures I need in the future to document my life or recommend them to others FOR SURE!

First and foremost, Rita is not only mega talented, artistic, and creative, but she is an incredible person to boot!! When we were first researching wedding photographers, I met with Rita and within about 10 minutes of meeting her she had me laughing and I felt completely at ease and comfortable, like we had been friends for years. I left that meeting knowing she was going to be our wedding photographer. She shot our engagement pictures and by the time our wedding came around, I felt like I had gained a great friend. Like most brides, I was overwhelmed with almost every emotion imaginable on our wedding day, but having Rita there really helped me because I trusted her so much. She probably didn’t even realize she was doing that for me, but she was! When we got our wedding photographs back, my husband Ryan and I sat down to look through them together. As we looked through them I was both crying and laughing because she captured so many great moments, moments that might have been fleeting but she captured them through her lens and now we have them forever! That has to be one of the surest signs of an amazing photographer, when you can experience so many emotions while looking at their photos! We were both blown away, our photos are absolutely BEAUTIFUL! What a gift it is to be able to do this for people, to capture these moments on one of the biggest days of your life. Also, as her second shooter, Rita brought Emily Lodigensky who is a rock star in her own right! We were SO fortunate to have two AMAZING photographers shoot our wedding day! After our initial meeting with Rita, we knew that we had found the person we wanted to capture our special day. She was light hearted and witty, professional and organized, but most of all, extremely passionate about her work, which is evident in the quality of the pictures she creates. We were lucky enough to have both Rita and Jen to document our wedding. They have the ability to put you completely at ease and have a way of making you feel like you’ve known them forever. They were our wedding heroes! I can say that the wedding day went so much smoother just by having them there. They were efficient in getting photos taken without ever making us feel rushed. When we first met we hired a photographer, but we ended up with lifelong friends. Rita did an AMAZING job photographing our wedding!! From the very first time Jason and I met with her and looked at her work, we knew we wouldn't be disappointed. She is incredibly talented and has such a sweet, fun personality! In our first meeting, Rita helped us plan out a timeline and brought up things that we hadn't even considered yet. The day of the wedding, Rita was so helpful and easy to work with. I LOVE RITA CLARK PHOTOGRAPHY! If you need a photographer CALL RITA! I contacted Rita in December 2014 because we needed a photographer for our wedding. She drove an hour the day before Christmas Eve to meet my fiancée and me, since that is when we were in town. She was wonderful, cheery, and super nice. She answered all of our questions and we facetimed with Jen who would be photographing our wedding. Rita was great throughout the planning process, she answered all of my questions quickly and the details form we filled out before the wedding was perfect. RITA IS AWESOME!!!!

On our wedding day, Jen showed up early and was FANTASTIC!!! WE LOVE JEN!!!! She is super, super awesome! She took pictures of the flowers, the rings, shoes, the venue. I love her detail oriented shots, they are amazing. Then she took pictures of the ceremony, then we took family pictures (I have a huge family and we had about an hour and 10 minutes and she was a pro at getting us through that). Then she took pictures at dinner and then of bowling instead of dancing after dinner. JEN IS AMAZING!!!! I LOVE THE PICTURES! She took great shots and captured so many fun and wonderful events of the day.
Less than 48 hours after the wedding Jen and Rita had our Sneak Peek posted and the pictures were more than I had hoped for. They were super amazing. Then that night Rita was still posting pictures that they liked to my Facebook. Then less than 84 hours after the wedding, Rita sent the link to our full digital gallery. THE PHOTOS ARE OUTSTANDING!!!! I can't wait to send them to friends and family and hang them all over the house.

IF YOU NEED A PHOTOGRAPHER, CONTACT RITA AND JEN!!!! THEY ROCK!!! They are absolutely the best. I am not very photogenic and I look amazing (as does my family, friends and groom) in every picture. They are pros and they will do an amazing job!!!! Jen and Rita, Thank you both so much for capturing our day and making it look amazing!

I am so overwhelmed with how magical our wedding photos turned out. Never could I have imagined more beautiful pictures. Rita is talented and professional. Rita is amazing. Six months later I still can not look at the pictures she shot of our wedding without crying. Rita was an absolutely amazing and fun photographer! She captured our day perfectly and we couldn't ask for a better time. Rita even went out of her way and brought me some snacks from cocktail hour while I was freshening up after the ceremony! The weather was gorgeous...warm and sunny, but there wasn't a cloud in the sky which made it difficult for some pictures but Rita and her assistant got creative and were able to get some really great shots that Matt and I wanted.
I highly recommend Rita and her team. She's fun, professional, and a great person all around.

Rita and Jen shot my wedding on Saturday and I could not have been a happier bride. We could not have asked for a better photographer! Rita and her assistant, Jen, were both so professional and easy to work with. The day of the wedding there are so many little things you have to worry about, it was nice not having to worry about the pictures. They were kind but efficient during the group photos and they made taking our individual photos a fun and relaxed experience. A highlight of the night was seeing a mini sneak peek on Rita's laptop. It was a great feeling to leave our wedding knowing that they had captured so many spectacular photos for us.

Wow! It is hard to even begin to describe the unparalleled, unmatched and amazing talent that is Rita Clark Photography. Rita Clark is a true artist, a tenacious photo-journalist, an inspired director and a friend that just “gets it” with a single glance. We simply could not of asked for better photographers. Rita and Jen were everything you would want and more! They took every single picture we ever dreamed of having and even accepted all of our ridiculous requests with a smile! On top of takings what must of been thousands of photos throughout the night, they were also the life of the party and everyone absolutely loved having them as part of the family for the night. I could not recommend someone in any higher regard than I would recommend these two if you are looking for a photographer. I have never been more satisfied with a service than I have been with this one, worth every last penny!

Choosing Rita Clark Photography to capture our spectacular wedding day, was the BEST decision. Rita was wonderful, and went above and beyond to make our day so memorable. Hiring Rita to be our wedding photographer was one of the best decisions we made! She is very friendly, outgoing, and so easy to get along with! We were so comfortable working with her. Not only did she capture every moment, she made sure that each picture turned out perfect by telling us to fix little details such as hair fly-always and our posture. Our wedding was very large and unique, so with her second shooter Jenn, they were able to capture all the details so wonderfully and effortlessly! I cannot say enough great things about Rita! She is very knowledgeable, professional and extremely personable. Working with Rita, you can tell she loves what she does and sincerely cares about her clients. When it came to my engagement shoot, I wasn't sure what I wanted. Rita was able to give us several great ideas for locations and welcomed any questions. It snowed the day of our shoot and Rita was so great about it. She was just as excited as we were to get some great shots in the snow and continually made sure we were warm enough. She certainly did her homework before meeting with us for the engagement shoot and came ready with photos of prime spots she scoped out. Rita was an absolute pleasure to work with. After just seeing her portfolio online, I knew she would be the one I hired to do my wedding (and luckily, she just so happened to have one opening - the weekend of my wedding!). I felt even more sure about the decision after talking with her the first time. She was so take-charge and organized and she kept up this pattern all the way up to the day of the wedding. She was always one step ahead, so I didn't have to be.

But on top of being the Type A, organized person I wanted her to be and the amazing photographer I needed her to be, she was also SO much fun! She played Buzz Lightyear with my nephew to get him to smile and quickly snapped the photographs in places we weren't supposed to be. And while I was too stubborn to let her, she offered to help me walk in my heels across mud, lace up the back of my wedding gown, and get me the extra piece of cake I'd abstained from for months.

Most importantly, though, our pictures came out stunningly beautiful. She captured all these quirky little moments as well as moments of intense emotion that made our special day what it was. Everything ran so smoothly and I never had to yell "wait for the photographer" - she was right there capturing every special moment. Book Rita now before everyone discovers her amazing talents!

Working with Rita from the very beginning was a positive experience. After meeting with other photographers I found Rita's presentation to be exceptional. She went above and beyond at our first meeting by giving me a box of information to take home with samples of her work, resources for wedding planning and more. After our first meeting, I felt like I gained a friend. Throughout the months of our planning, Rita was always responsive when I asked questions and would check-in to see how my plans were going. She was prepared with check-lists to make sure all of the photos we needed were taken on the day of the wedding. During the wedding day, she was able to capture all of the traditional wedding photos as well as capture the tiny details of our wedding that I ended up not being able to remember. She was organized and efficient and made the photo experience easy and seamless. We had a gorgeous day, which made for many spontaneous photo opportunities and she was always willing and able to accommodate those from us! Rita captured our wedding day perfectly and we received copies of our wedding photos just a few weeks later. One of my favorite things about working with Rita was the number of candid photos we received of our wedding day. Rita Clark did a fantastic job at our wedding. She was there early and got every aspect of the wedding, from bride and groom getting ready to detailed photos of the venue. She made sure to take shots of the little things, the ones that you put so much time into planning but can barely remember in the excitement of the big day. Wow, we don't even know where to begin! Rita battled freezing temps, winds, freezing rain, and snow with us! We felt so comfortable working with her and her second shooter, Jenn... We never felt "posed" or awkward... We just had a blast! We're so glad we found her to perfectly capture some of the most precious moments of the rest of our life together... We knew from the beginning that Rita was one of the best decisions we made in planning our wedding. However, we could not have prepared ourselves for the extent of her awesomeness on the wedding day. Not only did she take incredible pictures (judging from the few I saw on the screen of her camera), she kept everyone in line, kept us relaxed and on time, and helped out with little details- flawlessly knowing what we needed without asking and doing everything to make the day smooth, special and memorable. She struck the perfect balance between being in the right place for the right photo of each moment without ever being disruptive to the flow of the day. Rita took my senior pictures today and even though it says graduation, there wasn't a senior picture option. :) We had been in contact for a while and she worked with my schedule to find the perfect date and places for my pictures. She was so professional and fun, it was a laid back atmosphere where I felt really comfortable! I didn't want the regular run-of-the-mill senior pictures and she gave me exactly what I wanted. Engagement session :Working with Rita Clark was such an enjoyable experience ! Rita was able to capture our personalities and love for one another in such a beautiful way. She listened to our ideas and transformed them into beautiful works of art. I was amazed at what she was willing to do to get just the right shot and lighting, from balancing on a paint can, laying in the middle of the road, and dealing with the 100 degree heat ! Rita is the most professional and organized photographer we know! She is so down to earth and confident when it comes to her photos. She's very knowledgeable when it comes to photography and you can really tell that she loves it.

When we went to Kansas City to do our engagement shoot, we had no idea what we wanted; we're not from the area so we didn't even know where to begin. We knew we wanted different poses than we'd seen before. Rita had no problem just photographing us being us. She made is so easy to be relaxed and confident that our time with her absolutely flew by. We are very happy with our experience with her and we dont even have our photos yet!

When looking for a wedding photographer, I was extremely picky. I wanted someone who was great with the small details and made their clients look natural in photos versus being posed too much. When looking at her photography, she really catches the candid moments. She brings out the natural beauty of her clients versus dolling them up with photography software.
Working with Rita was such an amazing experience. I feel as if she is more of a friend than our wedding photographer. She was so down to earth and all about getting those perfect shots; whether it means almost running into the parking garage wall while looking for the perfect lighting, or getting chiggers from laying in the grass taking photos of our boots. She went above and beyond to get the most amazing shots. She took into account some photos we asked for and recreated them to make them our own. She made it so fun to take the photos and easy to relax in front of her. That’s a rare quality to have, especially when it comes to getting people to have fun taking photos. Rita is not only a wonderful photographer, but she is a genius and a magician too! She was fantastic - from her photography skills to the way she conducts herself around others. During our wedding party photos she was goofing around with our groomsmen, she made our families comfortable while shooting them as well, and we had a LOT of fun posing for the camera (which we normally feel awkward doing). Rita even helped us decorate our venue and brought us water at our head table! She goes FAR above and beyond the normal photographer's call of duty, and we LOVE her! We just had our engagement pictures with Rita, and we had so much fun!!! We both kind of feel awkward "posing" for pictures, but we didn't feel like that at all. I never even felt like we were posing because Rita made everything so natural. Our cheeks hurt by the end of the session, but not because we were fake smiling the entire time. It was because we were truly laughing and having a good time! She goes out of her way to make you feel comfortable (including letting you borrow her jacket when you're freezing, haha)! Her work is amazing, first and foremost. But on top of that, she's incredibly responsive, flexible, and simply just easy to be around and talk to... As cheesy as it sounds, after our afternoon of engagement pictures, I already feel like we're fast friends. I am recommending her to all friends and family in need of a photographer! She made us feel so comfortable throughout our engagement shoot and goes out of her way to make the whole experience personalized and fun. Throughout multiple session reschedules, location changes, driving all across town and tolerating our dog that rolled in horse manure during the photo shoot in the field, Rita never lost patience or focus on her goal. She is so driven to take unique photos and will take extra time to even fix the little hairs and offer up her own bobby pins! Rita does a great job of balancing the client's wants with what she knows will look best for each shot. She definitely goes above and beyond what I would expect from a photographer. I knew she was a great match for us when even my fiance who had complained about having to take pictures couldn't stop talking about how he loved some of them! She truly made this an awesome experience, and I couldn't be more excited for her to be shooting our wedding this year as well!

We had our engagement photos taken this morning with Rita. SHE IS FABULOUS! She made us feel really comfortable and within minutes it felt like we were just hangin out with a friend. She really has an eye for photography and it's clear she loves what she does. I can't wait for our wedding pics with her!!

My husband and I had a very small, simple courthouse wedding with few guests. We are a minimalist couple--we just wanted a few decent pictures of our wedding day for as low a cost as possible. Not only was Rita's price perfect for our budget, but the pictures are better than we ever imagined we would get. I am not photogenic at all and tend to look like a toad in pictures, but Rita took the time to make me feel gorgeous on my wedding day, including getting that nervous look off my face. Not exaggerating, this woman singlehandedly reversed a lifetime of poor self-esteem. For the six months since my wedding, I have truly felt like a beautiful person. Thank you, Rita, for changing the way I feel about myself.

Rita Clark is a wonderful, talented and dedicated photographer who will go out of her way to make you feel comfortable and get amazing shots. We just did our engagement photos with her and we were stunned by the amount of work she put in to making us look fabulous and effortless. She talked us in to a sunrise shoot (we were skeptical about feeling too tired at first). Thank goodness we listened. She went to the park the day before to scouted all the good locations and exactly when the good light would be in each spot, so she had an awesome game plan for us that day and we didn't have to worry at all about where we would look the best. It was really fun and not stressful at all. She also made sure we kept warm in the chilly Autumn morning so that we didn't have red noses and cheeks in all of our photos; she was so on top of everything. She made us feel like us in the best way possibly and I can't wait to get all of our pictures framed. I highly recommend Rita Clark for any of your photographic needs. She's a real gem.

Although we weren't able to book her for our wedding we loved her so much that we decided to utilize her services for our engagement session. Rita rocks! She goes out of her way to make you comfortable and you can tell that she loves what she does. Rita is a bargain, for the time that our session was and the amount that we paid. The quality is great, the prices are competitive. We'll continue to reccomend her until we have the pleasure of utilizing her services again and we'll continue to reccomend her afterwards. Every bride wants her wedding day to be perfect. One will go to great lengths to think of every detail, every moment, and every person that will be there and then pulling it all together. One of the most important decisions a bride can make is choosing a photographer. One that will understand how important the details are. A photographer that understands how nervous the bride is about creating a perfect day, but can be so reliable and dependable that the bride has security that everything will be just fine. Rita takes pride in her work, she has vision, and creativity and the quality of photos that make the bride feel beautiful, while also respecting the vision and needs of the customer. Rita went above and beyond at our wedding. She kept the group excited about the photos and kept me calm when needed so I was not melting with anxiety in every photo. She did everything I asked and more. When I look at my wedding photos, it is like it happened yesterday. She captured it all. She even got in her car and drove frantically after my getaway car, yelling cheerfully as she directed me to kiss my husband for the perfect photo. She made sure she got photos of my dogs, who were part of my wedding, because she understands that even though most people thought that was radical, it was important to me and all that mattered to Rita was what mattered to my husband and I. My heart still gets warm when I look at my wedding photos. They are not just photos. They are the still pictorial memoirs of one day that can live on forever. Sometimes I look at them and I fall in love with husband even more deeply holding the photo of us dancing together with our closest friends and family. Life is about living these moments with the ones we love the most. It is Rita's crusade to convey the authenticity of those connections and love in these moments so one may live them forever and reflect in pure emotion. We are so lucky to have had Rita take our family pictures! We are OVERJOYED with the quality of work Rita did! We have 7 children and the task of taking a group photo and individuals was not easy! She was patient and so kind with all of my children. She had such a great sense of humor and had them all laughing. We all felt so comfortable with Rita. I have recommended her to my family and friends, and we are planning on getting more pictures taken by her. She is very talented! Thanks Rita, we will cherish our photos forever!

Rita truly creates an atmosphere where you feel comfortable in front of her camera and comes out with great images to show for it. She listens to your suggestions and needs while using her well-trained eye to make sure you get just what you need. We had a great time: fun, funny, and creative!

Loved loved working with Rita! She was my photographer at my wedding. She was fun, energetic and very creative! She took absolutely beautiful pictures on my special day. Rita is excellent at getting shots with genuine emotion; I can't think of more valuable skill for a photographer to have. I'm not a particularly photogenic person, but every shot she's taken of me makes me look beautiful and natural. She is a genuinely warm person who is very obviously passionate about what she does. Her attention to detail and ability to capture perfect light and expression make her an excellent choice as well. If you want honest, beautiful, unique, and thoughtful photographs at an affordable price, Rita is definitely the best option in KC. I can't imagine anyone ever being disappointed in the quality and level of professionalism Rita has to offer; but don't just take my word for it, check out the pics, they speak for themselves.
