  As the wedding planning started to begin there were two things I was sure about, I found the love of my life and I knew Heather Nash was the photographer for us. Heather made two quirky people feel so comfortable and relaxed through the entire process. During our engagement photo shoot she provided us with FANTASTIC popsicle jokes to keep the laughter flowing. She also helped develop a time line for the wedding day to ensure that we were able to capture all of the photos we requested. Heather is a visual story-teller not just a photographer, every photo she provides has thoughtfully been curated. We love the fact that Heather can grow with us when our family grows for future photo shoots. Heather goes above and beyond. I would recommend Heather Nash to any of my friends and family.

  Heather was a dream to work with during our wedding. We had a very specific, personal vision for the wedding and Heather was open and willing to discuss the concept. Wedding photography is part documentation and part story telling. Heather's fine art photography background gave her the ability to do both very successfully. We are absolutely thrilled with the photos. I highly recommend Heather!!

  Heather was a pleasure to work with.
  She did a fabulous job setting everything up and making sure that she gets the shots that she needed or wanted.
  She was also great at keeping up with our time schedule which cannot be easy when dealing with 200 guests ;). We are VERY happy with the outcome of the pictures and Heather in general.
  We will be recommending her services to others when the time comes simply because she is the whole package. A fun, friendly great photographer at a reasonable price, what more could you ask for?!? :)

  Heather is very kind, friendly, and a pleasure to work with! She has really awesome, creative ideas for each photo, but is also eager to capture the event any way the couple would like. She provides a great service and I am super happy with the quality of the photos!

  We met Heather in Ann Arbor, MI. She made herself stand out from the mass amounts of talent first with her portfolio. I love the classic, elegant, non-traditional style of her work. She enjoys her work and is confident, professional, knowledgeable, experienced and highly valued.
  
  When she did our engagement photos I knew we had made the right decision. I went in to the wedding knowing I could be comfortable and trust her thoroughly. She paid so much attention to detail, she didn’t rush, and she really cares about creating a quality product for her clients.
  
  I kept her in the wedding-planning loop so she would know what to expect as far as style, feel, and details of the wedding and she was open to giving me ideas she has seen in all her experience.
  
  Heather gave her complete attention to our wedding. She was confident, cool, calm and collected which is a major plus when you, as the bride, are freaking inside and out and everything is a blur.
  
  Our only issues on the wedding day: Time & Weather. It stormed, which can’t be controlled and we didn't set enough time in between ceremony and reception for the photos. So - we didn't get all of the ones we could have done. But what we did get was amazing.
  
  Heather works alone, which is what we wanted. We didn't want a huge company taking the same photos at our wedding they've taken at every other wedding they've done. Nor did we want our photos just quick-processed through software. Heather takes her time with her work. It was about a 2.5 month time period before we got the photos back. But she made sure to give us a "preview" so we weren't completely left in the dark and let us know when we should receive them all.
  
  If you are looking for quality over quantity, non-traditional, unique, caring, personable, personal, and attentive - I highly recommend HMN Photography. She is a great asset to your wedding and surely won’t disappoint.

  I would 100% recommend Heather as a photographer. Very reliable, professional and most of all does beautiful work. Responds to calls/email in a very timely fashion. Makes you feel very comfortable while doing her job :)

  HMN Photography was fantastic to work with! We are so appreciative that Heather was willing to travel for our wedding, and that she was so flexible and had a go with the flow attitude on our wedding day. The photos are a lovely reminder of our big day. I only wish we had scheduled more time to get a even more beautiful photos!
