We booked Larry to officiate for our small and intimate wedding at Blake Gardens. From the first email, we knew we had chosen the right person. Larry was responsive, professional, and provided us with a ceremony worksheet that made planning stress-free. Larry arrived to the wedding venue first and met with us to make sure all our T's were crossed and i's were dotted. Since we planned our entire wedding ourselves, we wanted to ensure that the officiant we chose could help guide us through our perfect ceremony,; and Larry really delivered. The cherry on top was Larry was sweet and gentle with a great sense of humor. He did great with the guests and showed up as a true professional. -

Kind, Present, and So Thoughtful - Larry Made Our Ceremony Truly Meaningful
Having Larry officiate our wedding was truly one of the greatest honors of our day. From our very first conversation, it was clear that he brings thoughtfulness, care, and a deep sense of purpose to what he does. He took the time to get to know us, understand our story, and help craft a ceremony that felt both deeply personal and beautifully composed.
Larry was incredibly communicative and supportive throughout the entire planning process. He gave us clear, detailed instructions about the legal paperwork in the lead-up to the wedding and made everything feel easy and seamless. On the day of the ceremony, he delivered a beautiful service (and he also filed our marriage license immediately!). That’s just who Larry is: kind, thoughtful, and unbelievably efficient.
One of the moments that meant the most to us was when Larry checked in with each of us before the ceremony. He shared just the right words and he truly made us feel ready to step into the moment together. He struck the perfect balance between professionalism and warmth, and talking with him always felt natural — like working with an old friend. Wonderful Officiant
Kathy brought such a calm and warm presence to our wedding ceremony and we are so glad that we chose her as our officiant! Kathy not only walked us through all the options we had for designing our ceremony, but she also provided much-needed instruction on how to apply for a marriage license, how to submit for a marriage certificate, and how to go about updating all of our pertinent information after the wedding. It was such a relief to have an expert by our side as we navigated this next chapter of our lives. Ultimately, we had a close friend write our ceremony and Kathy coordinated expertly with her to deliver the personalized and meaningful ceremony of our dreams. She even provided us with a bound copy of our ceremony and vows as a keepsake! We cannot recommend Kathy enough! -

From our very first meeting my husband and I felt so comfortable with Kathy. We expressed to her our need to have a wedding that balanced paying homage to my catholic filipino background and my husband's more secular one. Kathy's responses to our questions and addressing our concerns immediately made us comfortable and we felt she could execute the ceremony we envisioned. Her previous experience with filipino/hispanic traditions (arras, cord, and veil) were especially valuable when it came time to organize the rehearsal and ceremony procession. Creating a ceremony through use of her templates and readings was so easy and streamlined! They allowed us to intertwine religion, our personal vows, and the themes of everlasting friendship and trust into the perfect ceremony for us. Afterwards, our guests gave nothing but compliments about how beautiful the ceremony was. My husband even cried and he never cries, lol! Thank you Kathy for guiding us and officiating our ceremony--it was perfect! -

When your to-be wife and yourself are co-planning one of the most complex and important events in your life together, things can be complicated and you want someone there to help alleviate the stress and get the hardest part of the process together. When I tell you Larry was just that person who made this convoluted process all the more simple with just a few Zoom calls and e-mails you’ll be wanting to line up for him to officiate your wedding too! Larry is amazing at what he does and tailor made the procession and the vows we wanted so perfectly that my wife and I couldn’t have been more happy at how it went. Larry officiated our micro wedding and he was everything we could ask for. We started planning our wedding only five weeks before the date since it was a micro wedding, I am so glad we came across Larry. In the initial call, he explained patiently what we could do with the ceremony since it was going to be outdoors and we would not have many guests. He helped us script the perfect ceremony and gave us a lot of flexibility. On the day of the wedding, we were running a late but he didn't mind at all. The ceremony itself was beautifully delivered and our guests loved it! I would definitely recommend Larry to anyone looking for an amazing person to officiate your wedding! -

We began to plan our wedding at the start of 2020. We knew our wedding would be challenging; planning for our SF Bay Area wedding while living 2,500 miles away in Ohio. We needed an Officiant who could communicate well from across the Country. We connected with Kathy Wilkerson of Heartfelt Weddings -- extremely thankful we found her.
Kathy was amazing from the moment we (virtually) met her. She was warm in tone, welcoming, receptive to our ideas, organized, inspiring, and so very professional. When Covid hit and throughout the lockdown, Kathy actually kept in-touch with us through 2020 & 2021. She was flexible with schedule, professional, and amazing the whole time. With all the uncertainties of planning during Covid, it was calming to know we still had our Officiant.
Kathy was extremely helpful during our wedding rehearsal. Finally, on the big day, Kathy provided the professionalism, smiles, and her calming nature. If Kathy is available on your wedding date, do yourself a favor and book her, immediately; she is a gem! I truly believe you will thank yourself later.

The first thing my wife and I noticed about Kathy was her genuinely authentic kind energy. Given that 2020 has been the year that it has, it was an absolute blessing to have someone like Kathy bring her positive, loving energy to our ceremony and families. She helped us through the entire wedding process from start to finish and adapted her process to fit everyone’s comfort levels given the state regulations. Larry was amazing to work with! He made the process so much easier for us and composing our ceremony words with him was fun and added a nice personal touch. Not only was he easy to work with but he is a joy and flexible! Especially during all this COVID-19 regulations and policies. He was ready for our ceremony site to move last minute and also down for crossing a creek! We were so lucky to work with Larry and HIGHLY recommend him to anyone and everyone! Kathy was a WONDERFUL officiant. She Skyped with us a few months before our wedding to walk us through everything and to get to know us a little bit. She was so incredibly helpful through the entire process and was flexible to changes we made to our ceremony even days before. The ceremony she performed for us was warm and beautifully written, and she was a joy to have standing with us. I also appreciated her detailed packet of information about how to change my name, how to do the marriage license, etc. She also included a booklet with our ceremony written in it to keep as a keepsake. I would absolutely highly recommend Kathy for your wedding, ESPECIALLY if you are considering getting married at San Francisco City Hall. Kathy was a dream to work with for our wedding. She was so sweet and genuinely invested in our ceremony. I came across Heartfelt weddings because I knew I wanted to do a handfasting ceremony and it was included in the packet of information provided to me on inquiry, so I knew it was something they were familiar with. The packet of ceremony options from Kathy was so useful and made the process of designing a meaningful ceremony that fit our personalities so much easier.
The whole process of working with Kathy was so organized and straightforward that it greatly lessened the stress of planning a wedding. First off , I’m a super busy woman . Me and my husband work a lot of hours and needed an ordain asap due to only having a month , or so before our wedding . I noticed great reviews on heartfelt weddings and contacted Kathy and received a quick response . She did everything for us. Stress free experience! We got married at the San Francisco city hall and she arrived early for set up , took pictures , and she also provided us with a book of our vows to each other and of the ceremony . She even gave us a list of things to do after I receive the marriage certification. She’s amazing , professional, So kind , and also very affordable and reasonable . Me and my husband are very happy we chose her . -

It can be nervewracking trying to find someone to lead your ceremony, the most important part of your wedding. I honestly don’t know how we got so lucky. I found Kathy, reached out to her, she made traveling arrangements, and everything turned out absolutely perfect! She webcammed with us to get to know us and sent us sample ceremonies and we were able to choose and customize however we liked. But the best part was her delivery on the day of. Her speech and manner absolutely fit the theme that we were going for—warm and friendly. Not everything can go exactly as you would have liked it to on your wedding day, but this is one of the things that did! Thank you Kathy!!! -

Mike Sent on 07/08/2018Kathy was the perfect officiant for our wedding. From the first time we met, she made us feel comfortable by getting to know us and our backstory. She listened to our love story and how it blossomed to where we are today. But this is something I must point out about Kathy: her expertise and martial documents she provided in our first meeting. She provided step-by-step documents about how to attain a marriage certificate, how to change your name, what to expect after (such as how soon you can obtain a copy of your marriage certificate after she mailed our marriage license) and expected timeline throughout. In regards to her expertise, Kathy knew how to incorporate two different cultural rituals. We had a catholic wedding as well as a Chinese Tea Ceremony. Kathy suggested how to incorporate both customs in an efficient manner. Lastly, her speech for our wedding was so beautiful. She created a booklet with her speech and our vows on a beautiful card for us to keep as a keepsake. We were so impressed and why we chose Kathy to be our officiant because she guided us so efficiently and never made us felt lost. I highly recommend Kathy to be your officiant because she is organized, responsive and knowledgable about this whole process.

She was always available for any questions we had and really took us through everything step by step.
We were initially organizing our wedding from Australia and Kathy was extremely helpful and patient, and when I arrived in San Francisco she was ready to meet us in person.
My husband had actually never attended a wedding/civil ceremony before and all his queries and nerves were put at ease by Kathy and together we were able to create a ceremony that was perfect for two people from very different backgrounds.
On the day Kathy was at our venue early, and took all the participating parties through everything they needed to know. My dad was particularly nervous and she took the time to explain things clearly and gently right before we walked down the aisle. I have only had positive words from guests and Kathy continued to stay in contact through the process of getting our marriage certificate.
I couldn't recommend her enough! -
