    I am so happy I hired this team!

    Molly and Anna were so extremely helpful on the day of our wedding. We had a small, 14 person event and questioned whether or not we needed planners. I’m so happy we decided to hire this team. They were proactive and friendly, getting along great with our family and friends. we were able to focus on ourselves and all the small special moments, while they managed the details. I would highly recommend!

    Amazing planners

    I can’t think of enough words to say how wonderful Molly and Anna are. They were the best money we spent on our entire wedding. Most helpful, kind, organized and just TOP NOTCH planners. I’ve told all my friends who are engaged to hire them, because I’m still in shock at how wonderful they were. 12/10!

    A must have!

    Molly and Anna were the perfect addition to my wedding day and such a joy to work with. I got married in October 2021 and was convinced that I didn’t need assistance since the guest list was 30 people. Needless to say, I was wrong. Heart of Maine helped me ensure that my wedding ran smoothly and all vendors were on the same page in expectations. They helped me create a custom timeline, managed the venue setup, and handled all direction throughout the wedding day. They even had super glue on hand when my earring broke right before my ceremony. My only wish is that I would have come to my senses and booked Heart of Maine sooner to make planning less stressful.

    If you only do one thing for your wedding, hire Molly & Anna!

    Molly & Anna were dream wedding planners! Detail-oriented, kind, organized. They worked with exactly what we wanted to do and operationalized everything. On the wedding day, I was able to relax and enjoy the party because they handled everything. Couldn't recommend them more highly!

    Disappointing

    First: I am a former wedding planner and day of coordinator (10+ years). I say this because my expectations were high and I know exactly the amount of work entailed. This was communicated to Molly and Anna from the beginning.

    I immediately liked Molly and Anna when meeting with them via facetime. I needed a day of coordinator for my destination wedding. I was very clear about all of my expectations at that first meeting. As I was planning from out of state, I was looking for someone that could help me source and vet vendors, attend meetings in my stead if needed, coordinate the rehearsal dinner, handle all set up and take down day of wedding, and coordinate the morning after breakfast. I also requested to be able to ship items to them in advance of the wedding and for them to ship everything back to me afterwards. We settled on a Day of Plus Partial planning package.

    I received a few recommendations on vendors but was mostly told they didn't have resources in my area. I did not need them to attend any meetings on my behalf. I did ship a lot of items throughout the year to Molly's home and I am very grateful I was able to do that. I did not request assistance for the rehearsal dinner or after breakfast after all - primarily because I had already lost faith in them by that point.

    In August we had our planning session. I gave VERY detailed notes about how I wanted everything to look, with photos of the exact elements and a rough mock up using items I had at home. I left nothing to chance. I organized the place cards by table. They asked very few questions about the details leading me to believe they had read and understood all of my notes.

    A day or two later I received a message that they would not be shipping my stuff back to me as previously agreed. As this was a key factor in my hiring them, I asked for a reduction in my package price (not to mention me expressing deep disappointment). I paid extra for them to recommend vendors, go to meetings, coordinate rehearsal dinner and after breakfast, and receive and ship items. The only thing they really did from that list was receive the items.

    Also since this was a destination wedding for us and the majority of our guests, I had not factored in time to pack up and ship all my belongings. So instead of being able to relax the day after my wedding, I spent the bulk of it packing everything up - because they didn't do that either. Luckily one of our guests was local and offered to ship everything for us so we at least didn't have to figure out when we could squeeze in a trip to the UPS store.

    Day of Wedding, shortly upon arrival, Anna came to ask me a question. Except I had very implicitly told Molly and Anna several times in writing and verbally that if there was any questions day of they should go to one of two people. And I wasn't one of them. I knew if they started asking me questions I would not be able to relax and enjoy my wedding day.

    This is already a long review and I have a lot more to say but I will leave it at this: I gave very detailed instructions - anyone could have walked in that day and set things up the way I wanted. Except apparently Molly and Anna. Even when I pointed out at one point that vases meant for the cocktail tables were missing and asked that they be put in their proper place - they still didn't do it. We went to take photos at the beach and came back to half the petit fours gone - they didn't ask the guests to wait! Our groom's cake was left largely untouched because people didn't realize it was a cake until it was too late. The chairs were not stacked up at the end of the night and all decor items were left outside overnight when I had very clearly asked that everything be brought inside.

    Am I being nit picky? Absolutely. I hired a team of professionals to do a job to my specifications and it was not. Not only that, but my kids and friends were left to do things they should have done - and I had expressly said I didn't want my friends working my wedding. My wedding day was beautiful but it was largely through the efforts of friends, not Molly and Anna.

    Molly and Anna are very nice but if you are looking for anything more than a glorified time keeper, I would keep searching.
