Celebrating our wedding with Heart of Gold DJs was the BEST decision we could have made!! We loved the entire process of working with them, and honestly, the hardest part was narrowing down our specific DJ selection because there are so many talented creatives!
We worked with DJ Jordan and were blown away with her fun energy and awesome music selections that perfectly complimented us! All of our guests LOVED the music and we had a blast dancing. She did a great job combining a lot of different genres, and nailed our ceremony- which was very very important to us. Great communication with the business and good vibes all around!
Jordan was the BEST! If you want your guests to have a spectacular dance party, or a more intimate curated moment, Heart of Gold can handle it all. So grateful I chose to work with y’all! Thank you for the best wedding ever!! -

Heart of Gold DJs, and specifically Eun Naem, was fantastic to work with. We had an introduction meeting, and another one scheduled closer to our wedding date to finalized everything before the wedding and she was organized! She let us know exactly what we needed to do and was very intentional not to give us more work than necessary to run the night smoothly. We weren’t able to give her exact timing of when the first dance will end but she looked out for our signal on the dance floor and ended it on time. She was also very professional and helped throughout the night with introductions, toasts, cake cutting and the dance floor! Overall, lovely personality to work with, great at what she does with her transitions and kept the party going all night! Would highly recommend her for your wedding/event if you want an individual that can look at the type of music/genre you put together and able to curate a playlist that reflects your taste! -

Did the sound for pre-ceremony, ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner and speeches, first dances, and reception dancing everything went perfect, played songs we wanted had no misses. Knew how to feel the crowd out and got everyone on the dance floor at one point or another. Highly recommended. -

We had such a great experience working with Eun Neam (aka DJ Neamatode) from Heart of Gold DJs for our wedding! From our very first meeting, Eun Neam was incredibly organized, timely, and accommodating. She played everything we requested and more, and she perfectly timed all of the important moments throughout the day. Beyond her DJ skills, she was also sensitive to cultural nuances and anticipated potential requests from our family and friends. We were especially grateful that she could MC our traditional Korean pyebaek ceremony, which was truly above and beyond. She brought amazing energy and connected with everyone so naturally. We can’t recommend her highly enough! -

We worked with DJ Ray Reck from Heart of Gold DJs for our wedding earlier this month and we couldn’t have been happier. From our first phone call, we knew that we were in good hands. Together, we created playlists for our pre-ceremony, ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner, and reception. Ray took our style of music and expanded on it with great suggestions and flow. During the reception, Ray expertly read the room and even though we had a smaller wedding, there was never a lull in the event.
Our friend sang our processional and first dance song and Ray worked one-on-one with her so that the levels were perfect.
Also, our wedding took place in a remote, outdoor area of Big Sur where the venue had multiple levels for each part of the event. Ray expertly set up speakers and controllers for each level so that the music was seamless throughout the night.
All of our guest commented on how great the music was and how Ray kept the energy up late into the night. Ray helped make our wedding unforgettable and we couldn’t have asked for a better DJ. -

We just used Hearts of Gold DJs for our wedding at ru's Farm in Healdsburg and we are SO happy we did. Ray Reck was our DJ and they absolutely blew us away. We did not have to worry about a thing.
Ray took our feedback on music preferences and cultivated the vibe beautifully. From cocktail hour and dinner to the dance floor. Ray blended the music on the dance floor so seamlessly that everyone was jumping and singing the whole time. We are so appreciative of Ray's communication, style and skill! -

The best dj!
Wow, wow, WOW! Allison is the definition of what a professional should be. She always closed the loop on things that were in flux after our meetings. Her organization made the entire wedding day seamless! From the ceremony, dinner, speeches, first dances, and (most importantly) the party Allison absolutely knocked it out of the park! We were so grateful for her flexibility, excellent communication, professionalism, and her amazing taste in music! Her energy and enthusiasm were infectious on the dance floor and she kept the party going all night long! She played all of our favorites and incorporated music that aligned with our taste. Music is an important part of our relationship and we are so glad that we entrusted Allison to take the lead on this part of our special day. We cannot say thank her enough! Everything was perfect!

Every couple's plan looks different, but for most of us, our hope is that somehow the music will match the moment. With Heart of Gold, particularly their performer, Jordan Springman, your expectations will be exceeded in every way.
We had the pleasure of being one of Jordan's first clients. Her professionalism and care showed up in every one of our conversations leading up to the wedding day. She took good notes, promptly responded to changes, and followed up with emails to confirm the day of plan.
Jordan was there long before the wedding, setting up the ceremony spot with mics and a speaker and preparing the dance floor. Unlike so many DJ's who will take your music and put just a sprinkle of your favorites into a preset list, Jordan took our eclectic taste in music and wove it into a beautiful tapestry that got people on the dance floor and received praise from literally everyone we talked to.
We decided to avoid all of the traditional dances, but at the end of the night, Jordan pulled us together for one final song. For a couple that spurned all the other cliched dances, this DJ pulled THE SONG out of our list for a slow dance that was one of the most beautiful moments of the day. By the end, I don't think there was a dry eye in the building.
It’s a memory we will treasure for the rest of our lives.

Christie was absolutely incredible to work with for our wedding in Carmel Valley, CA. From our first meeting, she asked me tons of great questions that I hadn't even considered to make sure that every detail of the sound and timeline of our wedding was thought through. She rolled with our very eclectic and specific music preferences and truly delivered the exact right vibes for each aspect of our events. From the Caribbean-inspired chill for the welcome party, to the piano versions of pop songs for pre-ceremony, to the chill progressive house for dinner, and all out dance party with 2000s sing-a-longs for our reception, she nailed all of it. From the very first call I knew we were going to be in good hands with Allison being the DJ for our wedding. She asked so many great questions and had great attention to detail. We created a wedding playlist for dinner and for our reception on Spotify and shared them with her and listed out our top songs that we really wanted to make sure were played and she really listened to what we wanted for our wedding day and she brought it. We wanted big energy and fun upbeat music all night long and she did an incredible job. Our dance floor was PACKED the whole night and Allison had our guests and us dancing truly all night long, it was perfect from start to finish. Our dance floor went crazy for Levels by Avicii and This Girl by Kungs with the big foam glow sticks and we could even see Allison was having so much fun herself behind the DJ booth! She couldn't have been a better fit for our wedding and our guests even talked about how epic the music was all night. Couldn't recommend Heart of Golds DJs enough and major shoutout to Allison!!!

DJ Jordan was AWESOME at our wedding- we would her 10 out of 5 stars if we could! We were psyched to find an all-women/non-binary, queer-friendly DJ crew through our photographer and got paired up with Jordan, who was completely perfect for us. She took plenty of time with us in the pre-wedding meetings, asked questions we hadn't even thought about, followed up with us and made it easy when we were juggling a million wedding prep things, and listened to everything we said.
When it came to the wedding day, she absolutely KILLED IT. We were actually her first wedding that she DJ'd solo, and you never would've known it. We got so much unsolicited amazing feedback from our guests about her, and they were shocked when we told them that it was her first solo wedding gig. She did the music and sound for the ceremony, music for cocktail hour and dinner, and of course DJ'd the reception dance floor. She was so chill, calm, and fun, and made sure everything was how we wanted it and ran smoothly. We could not have been happier with the playlists, announcements, and all of her work! The dance floor was never empty and included people of all ages/generations. It was seriously hard to find a time to take a break because there were no bad songs. We're so happy we chose to work with Jordan and Heart of Gold, and 1000% recommend them. -

Heart of Gold DJs, and specifically Whit the DJ, was absolutely fantastic for our wedding! Whit did an amazing job of working with us before the wedding to figure out what music we wanted for each part of the night: ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner, and dancing. We really appreciated her thorough, meticulous approach to her work, and how much time she spent getting to know us as a couple, and learning about what vibe we wanted on our wedding day. Also, a shared google doc made our collaboration extremely smooth. Whit and her assistant handled 3 different setups on our wedding day, and most importantly, the sound and music was perfect at every point! She really understood what our guests would like, and easily adapted based on who was dancing and how the crowd was responding. We were amazed that the dance floor was packed from the moment it opened until the venue kicked us out--and it was all thanks to Whit! We got many compliments on the music selections from our guests. We definitely recommend Whit from Heart of Gold DJs! -

- DJ Paz was a great fit for our wedding at the Waterfall Lodge! Straight from the first call they understood the type of music and atmosphere we wanted which focused on 90s and 2000s hip hop throwbacks. The final phone call was thorough to help finalize the schedule. They were communicative and were able to accommodate changes shortly before the wedding. They provided the sound equipment for the ceremony and were able to transfer the equipment swiftly to the reception area. During the reception, they were great on the mic and knowing when the cues were. The highlight though was the final dance party. SHEEESH everyone had fun. It was banger after banger! I would recommend Heart of Gold DJs and DJ Paz for any of your parties! -

Working with DJ Allison from Heart of Gold was one of the best wedding decisions we made! She is a real gem, delightful to work with, a total pro, and a hands-down incredible DJ. We gave her some ideas of what we like via Spotify playlists and she took it from there, and at our wedding reception she played so much good dance music that I felt like she was reading my mind! The mix of pop/disco/throwbacks was everything I've ever wanted (Lizzo, Robyn, Sylvester, Belinda Carlisle...) and I truly don't think I've ever had so much fun dancing before. We also asked for some bossa-nova and samba music during our cocktail hour as an homage to my partner's Brazilian roots, which was a total hit with our guests. I was even singing along with all the dinner background music. Allison made our wedding day incredibly special and full of great memories. Thank you Allison!!! -

From initial reach out, all the way through the wedding Day, Heart of Gold was fantastic to work with. We had to postpone our original date, and they were extremely flexible and hooked us up with DJ Christie. DJ Christie knocked it out of the park!!! I honestly would give her more than 5 stars if I could. During the initial call she asked a bunch of questions to get us started, and was totally fine with us not having most things figured out yet, but provided a ton of guidance. Leading up to the wedding she was quick to answer questions and offer advice. On the day of the wedding, she was beyond amazing!! She was excellent at directing guests, and keeping the vibes up and during the dancing portion her mixes and playlist were off the charts!! She really took our general preferences and turned them into a killer dance party. I would recommend her a a million times over!! The entire process was extremely low stress and enjoyable :) DJ Christie is a true pro and made the night that much more special and fun! -

My wife and I had the pleasure of having DJ Allison work with us at our wedding. We must admit that we probably should have gotten a wedding coordinator (whoops), but Allison truly stepped up and made the day very special for us.
Allison helped make the ceremony beautiful with her attention to detail and willingness to go with the flow as there was a slight delay and our officiant was talking a touch too fast at the beginning. She was cool, calm, and collected, when neither of us could be, and that's invaluable. It was the most special day of our lives (to date!) and Allison's effort and care helped make it that way.
With respect to the reception, DJ Allison's performance was nothing short of perfect. She could not have found a better mix of music to play that factored in our requests and personal tastes. She even played things that I/we would have requested prior, but was too stressed/busy to think of. She also handled some curveballs and resurrected the vibe when it needed it. Most importantly, though, we had numerous guests comment to us how much fun it looked like she was having, and it certainly did look like she was having the time of her life!
Altogether, if we ever need a DJ for any reason ever again, DJ Allison and Heart of Gold DJs would be the first and only ones on our list. The entire process was smooth, professional, and fun. We can not recommend Heart of Gold and DJ Allison enough!

We love DJ Meghan!! It was such a pleasure to work with Meghan to plan out the music for our wedding. We wanted the first half of our reception to feel like an epic dinner party (perfect soundtrack being the most important ingredient, naturally) - to be followed by a fabulous dance party. We have eclectic tastes in music and wanted to stray pretty far from what I see as 'typical wedding music' - she got it and totally nailed the music all the way through the night. People went nuts on the dance floor - especially us - we were blown away by how many people were dancing and how lost in it we all were. Apparently my husband (!) did not leave the dance floor a single time once it all got going Also for all the Jewish folks - DJ Meghan runs a mean horah! Our friends could not stop about the music at brunch the next day and so many stories revolved around it.
We were on the fence about whether we wanted to do first/family dances, cake cutting, etc, and really appreciated Meghan's low key and open-minded tips about all of it during our first meetings. It was great to work with someone who was not trying to push a conventional wedding script down our throats, and we were confident that she would DJ in a way that felt authentic to us based on our conversations before the wedding. In the end we feel that she allowed us to collaborate to express ourselves through music during the wedding, which is very special for us but were not sure if it would really be possible. We are so grateful. Also! Our dinner timeline was running a bit behind, and Meghan gently helped us get back on track to have time on the dance floor (knowing how important this was to us). This is way beyond what I would expect from our DJ but was so appreciated - if she hadn't done this we would have inadvertently lost the majority of our precious dancing time & I think it speaks to how valuable it is to have such an experienced DJ running the show.
We just adore Meghan and are so grateful that she brought her extreme talent to our wedding - it *made* the night for us and our guests!!! In general working with Heart of Gold was professional and delightful - could not recommend more highly!! -

Meghan DJ-ed our wedding, through happy hour, dinner service and dancing. My husband and I love 80s new wave and 2000’s electronica, and we definitely looking for a DJ might not have fit into the typical “wedding DJ” mold.
We provided Meghan a few playlists to pick and choose songs from, which she took inspiration from and ran with it. She read the dance floor, and tweaked accordingly to fit the mood. Plus, she was open with our guests’ requests, and found the right balance to add new songs. We got so many compliments from friends, as well as our older family members, who were excited they actually knew the songs we were playing! Now we need to find a reason to have another party, just so we could hire DJ Meghan again…. -

DJ Caity Watson had been a recommendation from a friend who also had a Sunday brunch wedding. Because of COVID, we didn’t have dancing, so we mostly wanted background music and mics for the ceremony/toasts. Caity did a terrific job. Everyone told us how great the music was. She was also a pro at coordinating the toasts and just generally making sure the event ran smoothly from a sound perspective. Highly recommended.

Heart of Gold and DJ Paige are amazing!
We can’t say enough great things about Heart of Gold and DJ Paige. Paige was the DJ at our wedding in the Santa Cruz area in August 2019. We loved Heart of Gold’s process for determining what type of music to play at our wedding. They provided us with a catalog of 100s of songs that we were able to go through and highlight what we liked and didn’t like to give our DJ a sense of our music taste. We provided a limited list of “must plays,” that DJ Paige played at perfect moments throughout the night.
DJ Paige did a great job at getting to know our music taste and listening to our requests. At our wedding, all of our guests kept complimenting DJ Paige. Paige managed every transition (from ceremony to cocktail hour to dinner to speeches to dancing) perfectly. She used a mobile sound system for our ceremony, since it happened in a different part of the venue than our cocktail hour and reception, but had music already playing before anyone made it to cocktail hour.
She was able to keep the dance floor full the entire night. She kept the night moving smoothly with making announcements and coordinating toasts. Throughout the planning process and at our wedding, she was extremely approachable and professional. I highly recommend working with Paige!

Christie stole the show! This review is way overdue but we cannot begin to explain how amazing DJ Christie was at our wedding at the Headlands last July. We met with her twice before the event, and in those two meetings we were able to share with her our wants and our definitely "no's" and she took it from there. She was so professional and got the vibe perfect for every part of the event, all the way to the kind of music to play in the bathroom, and was a great MC for our toasts during dinner. Christie easily got the dancing started with music that met the needs of our parents and their generation at the beginning of the night and then slid right into the bay slaps at the end of the night (as you can see in the pictures below). She read the crowd the whole night, never played the one song on my "no" list (despite how hard my friends begged) and managed to figure out my favorite song (most definitely a coincidence but also probably just her superhero DJ skills ) and it was the last song of the night! We received SO MANY compliments (from guests of all ages) about how amazing she was and how fun/sweaty/non-stop the dance party was. AND we have been able to refer her to friends who were there and want her for their wedding. Hooray! THANK YOU SO MUCH CHRISTIE for making our night as amazing as it was. Look no further -- Heart of Gold is the way to go! -

Everything you hope your DJ will be!
The day we were scheduled to meet DJ Christie to interview her, it was just one of those days where I was feeling a step behind. Stuck in traffic, couldn't find parking, now late to our first meeting, I was ready to give up and tell Christie and my now husband to go on without me. Without skipping a beat, Christie suggested I find a place to pull over and the two would join me in my car to have our meeting - she wasn't phased one bit! She was chipper as can be and pivoted so easily to accommodate us. I knew right then that we had to bring her on as our wedding DJ! We had a lot of stereotypical things wedding DJs do that we didn't want, and she understood and honored that. We danced the night away! All of our guests raved at how much fun they had dancing to her mix of songs and how much fun she seemed to be having as well. We highly recommend the Heart of Gold DJs, especially DJ Christie! -

We feel so fortunate to have come across Heart of Gold DJs, and specifically to get to work with Erica. No question, stop your search now - this collective listens to you and absorbs your style so well. From the first e-mail to the end of the wedding, Erica and her team were responsive and helpful whenever we needed. My wife and I knew that we didn't want a typical DJ that would play the same things we've heard at other weddings, but our wedding was an even split of friends and family - so the DJ needed to be able to walk the line well. Equal parts Al Green & James Brown to Cut Copy & LCD Soundsystem to UGK & Lizzo. We used Heart of Golds sample playlist as a starting point and provided some extra inspiration from our own libraries, and between those two - Erica nailed down our style perfectly. Over the course of the night many people came up to me in awe of the DJ we had found, and commented how she played so much unexpected, yet perfect music throughout the night. A true testament to her ability was that our dance floor wasn't nearly large enough for the party - guests were dancing by the bar, in the aisles of the tables - everywhere they could find enough space. -

If I could give Allison Peck from Heart of Gold more than five stars I would! We could not have asked for a more perfect DJ for our wedding!! She gave us the pop punk dance party of our dreams. I kept trying to leave the dance floor to mingle and say hi to people and take photos, but every song was better than the last. Every one of our guests was on the dance floor and screaming songs at the top of their lungs.
As for leading up to the wedding, Allison's communication was seamless, and our in-person meetings were a delight.
Truly we could not have asked for a better experience. Allison was the absolute best and we can't thank Heart of Gold DJs enough for making our wedding such a dream. -

We worked with Heart of Gold DJs & DJ Maria for our wedding back in September, and I cannot recommend them enough. We didn't want the traditional cheesy DJ experience, and Heart of Gold definitely help provide the tunes you want without that cliche stuff we're all tired of. DJ Maria was very responsive over email, and we also had several emails leading up to the day. We got several compliments on our music, but all I can take credit for is choosing a great DJ! We hired Heart of Gold DJs for our wedding and are so glad we did. Christie James was so fun to work with and totally nailed it on the song choices throughout the wedding. Our dance floor was packed the whole night! Christie also seamlessly handled the music for our ceremony, cocktail hour, reception, and first dances, and she coordinated with my matron of honor to provide audio support for a signing performance during the ceremony. Christie was very responsive during the planning process and visited our venue on her own before the wedding to plan her setup. Oh man, Heart of Gold was recommended to us by a friend for our wedding a few weeks ago at Preservation Park and we can’t say enough great things. I mean, were sold when we learned that they’re a badass collaborative of lady DJs, but when DJ Sami and I bonded in our first meeting over the fact we both made our parents call us “Dorothy” as a child because of our love for “The Wizard of Oz,” I almost married her instead, (kidding… kind of). Seriously though, DJ Sami was amazingly organized, kind, confident, and absolutely kept our dance floor PACKED all night long. Sami was professional, responsive, helpful when I didn’t know what I wanted to do, and such a delight to work with. She also didn’t question for one second that we needed Celine Dion “It’s All Coming Back To Me Now” played as our last song. We’d recommend her and Heart of Gold 100 times over! -

Erica did an amazing job curating our wedding playlist! Caity DJed our wedding in September and she was so awesome--she's patient, thoughtful, and has great energy. She totally got the vibe we were looking for in each part of the wedding, and put together an amazing set. We received SO many compliments on our wedding DJ. We bonded instantly with Erica. We truly felt like we had a friend DJ for us since she really took the time to get to know us and our style. We met with her a few months before the wedding to talk music and get to know her and she made us instantly feel that we were in good hands. She has extensive music knowledge, asked us our favorite bands/musicians, and right away understood the overall feel we were going for. She sent us a thorough list of songs and allowed us to selects yes's and no's as well as collaborate on shared Spotify playlists. We even asked her to edit a clip out of one of our favorite songs and loop it for us for the processional and she did it perfectly. I can honestly say she couldn't have possibly done a better job.
