HayLoft in the Grove Reviews

I'm the MOB for a wedding that was just held at the Hayloft in October of 2023. My daughter and son-in-law are service members stationed on the West Coast and I am local. The Hayloft was very accommodating in every way they could be to help us plan with the two most important people being so far away. We had a boutique wedding and it was perfect. They understood my daughter's vision and did a great job pulling it all together for us. Complete pros. We are very satisfied with our experience and highly recommend! Jeni and all of her staff were wonderful to work with:)

I truly cannot say enough great things about this venue and their staff (huge shout out and thank you to Jeni, Meaghan, Alyssa, Mercedes, Sandy, and the whole team). My husband and I are originally from Buffalo however moved to Cincinnati for work and although all of our wedding planning was done out of state, it was seamless thanks to all of the staff working tirelessly at the Hayloft. They are experts when it comes not only to curating the most beautiful venue down to the details (from the crystal chandeliers in the ceremony stables to the string lights lending a warm glow to the stone cellar dining space), but also when it comes to planning / vendor recommendation and organization, etc. We did not have a wedding planner, and at the end of the day it wasn't needed nor missed at all thanks to Jeni and her team providing guidance, holding regular meetings with us, and creating checklists and timelines along the way. Even the day of the wedding when some things didn't go as planned, I actually had no idea because behind the scenes they were able to continue making the magic happen, and the day was everything I had dreamed of and SO MUCH MORE. Hay wagon rides, puppy cocktail hour (a HayLoft classic), apple cider donuts / hot cider (and not to mention all our apps / drinks etc. were gorgeously presented with Hayloft decor and antiques), all with the backdrop of fall wildflowers and foliage on their property. And that's another thing entirely; we barely had to plan for any decor aside from flowers because the stables, reception barn, and dining cellar are already stunning... I could go on and on for days about every part of this venue and their team being PERFECT. There is so much love put into this wedding venue because it is a family business and even in our search before choosing them this really set them apart; they REALLY CARE. Would recommend a million times over and if I could do this all over again I would 10000000 percent choose HayLoft every time.

We recently were married at the Hayloft In the Grove & we cannot recommend it enough! Everything was perfect and it was all we dreamed of, plus more! What a wonderful location and the ground are absolutely breathtaking for photos.

Jeni, Meghan and the staff were so helpful throughout the whole process- from day one including all the wedding planning session to the wedding day. They truly made our dreams come to reality. They are very professional and so prompt with communication, even when we were not. They do a great job checking in with you and making sure the wedding planning process is running smoothly. Jeni always answered all our questions truthfully and made recommendations when we needed guidance. They even recommend very talented vendors!

You have the best of both worlds at Hayloft. You can choose between an indoor or outdoor ceremony. Both are beautiful. The venue itself has so much history which makes it so unique.

We cannot wait to attend another wedding there! All of our expectations were met and then some.

Could not have been happier. You're getting some much more than just a beautiful venue. Jeni (owner) and her team are amazingly well organized and thorough. They patiently helped us through everything from the day of timeline, vendor recommendations, décor personalizations, planning, seating layouts, etc. Even multiple vendors commented on how much they like doing weddings at Hayloft, because they know everything is going to go smoothly.

The grounds are gorgeous all year long. From our initial visit to the many subsequent planning meetings to the day of, seemed like every flowerbed was in bloom. The barn and stables are cozy and inviting, along with the amazing outdoor space/patios/pergolas. Can't recommend them enough.

All our guests commented later about how great the venue was. Everything was perfect. We had looked at a few other venues, but they all felt more commercial, or intrusive/not private. You have the whole grounds and don't have to worry about random golfers going by, or noise from an adjacent banquet hall.

The Hayloft at The Grove was the perfect venue for my son and daughter in laws wedding this past August 2022. The staff was very accommodating and their expertise in the wedding industry made for the perfect day. Jeni and her staff were always available to answer any questions and were readily available the day of the wedding to make sure things ran smoothly.
I would highly recommend this venue for anyone wanting a rustic theme to their day. You also need to check out their “Pinterest” room, everything and anything is available for you to make your theme come true.

My wife and I had our wedding here a little less than two weeks ago and we are still in absolute awe of our entire experience with Hayloft. From the beginning of our engagement in 2020 until the day itself, Jeni and her team made planning our day so simple and made us feel so comfortable. We would come into a planning meeting with a million questions and they would all be answered before we even had the chance to ask them!

The grounds are absolutely gorgeous. We were lucky enough to have the perfect weather for our day so that all of the features could be utilized (horseshoes, cornhole, etc.), but even if we had bad weather I think we would have enjoyed our time just as much. The barn is so spacious that dinner and dancing never felt cramped, and the whole team kept everything gorgeous throughout the night. All options for vendors that Jeni provides (florists, caterers, etc.) are trusted companies that Hayloft has worked with in the past, and it makes such a big difference in how smooth the day runs.

We already miss Jeni, Alyssa & the whole Hayloft team SO much and could not be more thankful for helping us create the perfect day! We also recommend renting the cottage for the nights before and after the wedding. The minimal travel made everything so much easier. We started our marriage on the most amazing note, and we can't wait to come back and visit!

This venue was absolutely wonderful, my daughter's wedding day was beautiful. When there were a few " oh no what do we do moments" the staff was quick to step in and help with our needs. All of our guest have repeated several times to me what a fantastic time they had at my daughter's wedding. The grounds were absolutely beautiful which helped to make the wedding day breath taking. Go meet the staff and you will have a wonderful experience.

This venue was so beautiful in its own way we barley had to decorate due to its own rustic settings. The owner Jeni was a pleasure to work with. Not only did she own the venue but she acted as a wedding planner as well and had any and everything covered. She created a time sheet for the big day to make sure everything and everyone stayed on track.

Stunning grounds, photo opportunities everywhere you look. The barn and gardens are just gorgeous. We had alot if details including their dogs walking down the isle. Jeni nailed the details.

I had my wedding at hayloft in the grove on 9/19/21. I couldn’t have picked a better wedding venue! I was a covid bride and they worked with me through everything! Jeni (the owner) even picked flowers from her garden when my florist forgot my flowers! If your looking for the perfect rustic wedding venue this is it!!

Our wedding was absolutely perfect. Jeni and the team at Hayloft made planning so much easier and we’re so thankful we had them to keep us on track and keep everything running smoothly the day of. The property is beautiful, there is so much to do for the guests and everyone had a great time. I heard from so many people that it was the best wedding they had been to.

Jeni and the Hayloft Team were absolutely amazing! They helped us through the entire planning process all while making us feel like family. Amidst a global pandemic none the less Jeni went above and beyond to give us our big day after hosting us at the hayloft for a restricted private ceremony on our original wedding date 8.8.2020 she continued to support us and help us stay on top of planning into our re-booked date of 8.8.2021. Jeni and her team are so passionate about their work and it shows! I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a warm intimate wedding planning experience and venue.

Our wedding day was exactly what we pictured thanks to the help of Jeni and her staff at the Hayloft in the Grove. They listen to your ideas and work hard to make those dreams a reality. They are extremely responsive and are there for you during the entire planning process, offering guidance and support.

Our guests kept commenting on how beautiful the venue is and loved the indoor/outdoor space at the barn. Jeni and her husband have done a phenomenal job with the property, making it a space that is perfect for your special day and somewhere your guests will never forget.

I simply can't explain how amazing everyone at Hayloft was for our wedding! We had our wedding on the 4th of July, it was their boutique wedding package. We wanted something smaller and for just an afternoon and this option was ideal. So many things were included, which made the planning way less stressful. It was the best decision we made! Right from the start Jeni and her entire staff (shoutout to Krissy, Alyssa and Sandy) were phenomenal. They were on top of everything, kind, passionate, so organized and so helpful to ensure we had the best day possible and that it was exactly the way we wanted it to be. The grounds were absolutely beautiful and the day of was perfect. I truly believe our wedding day would not have gone as perfectly without Jeni and Krissy being there and running the ship. We did not have to stress or worry about anything! They did it all and with genuine excitement that it was our wedding day too. We are forever grateful for the easy planning process, the perfect day and ALL their help to make this happen. If you are thinking of booking Hayloft for a boutique wedding or a full wedding, book it! It will be the best and easiest decision you make! Jeni and staff helped to coordinate a perfect wedding for our daughter. They never lacked a smile or enthusiastic comment. Last minute changes were dealt with a professional and creative attitude. The grounds and buildings are superb; add in the staff and our event was extraordinary.

Jeni and staff are great. They give little homework assignments to keep you on track, so that everything goes smoothly on the big day. Very professional, extremely friendly and personable. Not to mention the venue itself is beautiful. Overall great experience!

We booked the hayloft venue a couple of weeks before Covid took off. Throughout the entire process, the decision making, the uncertainty of everything, Everyone at the hayloft made everything so effortless! They are not only THE best dream team, but they are a dream to work with! We were planning our wedding from Georgia, and Jeni always made sure to make the time and effort for as many zoom calls as we wanted and needed to make sure our day was all we imagined. They care about your wedding as though it is their own. They are so invested in making sure every single thing is addressed and taken care of! The amount of care, effort, and detail they put into everything is astounding. We actually couldn’t be happier with Jeni, Alyssa, and Krissy. They honestly feel like family to us now. Jeni saved me so many times I lost count! She’s an outright miracle worker! Alyssa was running in circles making sure everything was in order with all the booked events we had scheduled and caterers, and Krissy put up with me tweaking and changing little things here and there. Ah, I really can’t say enough about them! The stress of wedding planning was not near as stressful since I had these wonderful ladies on my team.

Listen, planning a wedding is a task in and of itself- add in a global pandemic, and it feels almost impossible. Jeni and the rest of the HayLoft staff made it so much easier for us! They were always helpful, had so many great suggestions (I say as a person who is indecisive at times) and the grounds are so beautiful. There are so many different places to take beautiful photos, and all of our guests enjoyed the outdoor area with games, plenty of seating, and the bar! They were so professional and not too pushy, and I think that is so important when planning an event as big as your wedding day! My husband and I got engaged early 2020, and with all of the changes and constant back-and-forth correspondence, the ladies didn't miss a beat! I am constantly telling everyone who asks how perfect our wedding was, from the rehearsal to the very last minute we left. We rented the cottage for the night before and the night of, and I highly recommend doing that if possible. It was great to have some extra time to set up and somewhere close by to get ready. They do such a great job with cleaning and the cottage was such a perfect homey place to be. My husband and his groomsmen got ready in the man cave and they also still talk about how fun it was! We had such a great experience all around, and I would recommend HayLoft to anyone who is looking there. I always knew I wanted to get married in a barn setting and this was perfect!

Planning a wedding is stressful enough but to do it during a pandemic brings extra obvious challenges! These challenges were met head on by Jeni and her group at the Hayloft. They kept on top of the daily fluctuations regarding the NY State Covid rules and kept an otherwise crazed bride calm throughout.

The day of the wedding, May 30, 2021, could not have been better. We really don't believe the Hayloft had anything to do with the weather being gorgeous but even if it hadn't been, the wedding would have come off without a hitch.

For the past year, they were with us every step of the way- never missing even the most minute detail. So I wasn't surprised when I (mother of the bride) walked into the wedding dressing room to see Jeni pinning up one of our bridesmaids dresses! Surely, that wasn't part of her scope of responsibilities but again, speaks to their caring for the littlest detail.

The venue is as gorgeous as the pictures- rustic and elegant.

We couldn't have been more pleased with the care and attention from the Hayloft people and site.

Planning a wedding during COVID was difficult, but Jeni and get staff went above and beyond to make sure the my daughter’s wedding was fabulous! Jeni is wonderful to work with!

It is an understatement to say that Jeni, Sandy and the hayloft crew went above and beyond for our wedding.

Jeni kept in Constant contact with us and even helped us advert an almost disaster for our reception.

They are extremely knowledgeable, flexible , and organized. Every single time I talked to Jeni she was straightforward and told us the truth about NYS changes due to Covid-19. She did not try and beat around the bush or tell us half truths to keep our deposit.

When my wife was having anxiety over wedding planning and day of the wedding stress. Jeni made up code words for the two of them so they could communicate about any fears the day of. THAT alone should give them a gold medal for doing everything they could to make sure the day of was absolutely perfect.

We loved every second there, I would recommend this place to everyone and anyone looking to get married or get their vows renewed . If we ever decide to, this will be our first choice.

Our only regret would have to be that we only had our ceremony there. If we could start over we would have had our reception there as well.

The grounds are beautiful, if you love nature and a more natural look. Go here. You will not be disappointed.

We were scheduled to marry during Covid and thought our day was lost. Jeni and team treated us like family. They helped us to reschedule for the following year but that wasn’t what made them so amazing. She still let us use the original day to do much more private and allowable ceremony. We were able to have family there with us, the photographer to do our photos, she helped fix a last minute flower change that was important to me, decorated the stables beautifully for the ceremony, handled the ceremony details, allowed us to do a practice the night before ALL AT NO EXTRA CHARGE. She was honoring all that we ordered for our 1 yr party that we rescheduled- but she wanted to make our day still beautiful. I can’t tell you what that meant. She and Jason are just like that- caring, personal, dedicated and honest. Our day was so beautiful and made possible during a difficult time for many. The grounds are breathless, the barn so unique and beautiful, the cottage to get ready was perfect- but the family feeling we experienced was what makes them above all others. I cannot recommend them strongly enough. Thank you Hayloft for our perfect day.

Words cannot begin to describe how perfect our wedding and planning process went with the help of HayLoft in the Grove and their amazing staff. First off, my now wife and I took a tour of the property in July 2018 and at that time, we knew going in that we probably could not afford our wedding at this property just due to what it presented from the very beginning. First off, we were way wrong! The pricing is very competitive for venues of the similar rustic/chic vibe, however, the service and family like environment is what sets the HayLoft apart from the other options. We first met with Liane (wedding planner) and Jeni (owner of the HayLoft), we knew right away that we wanted to have our wedding at this property because of not only these two, but also Alyssa (wedding coordinator) and Jason (Jeni’s husband). They gave us a very thorough tour of all areas of the property and what they could offer us. We planned our wedding for 11/2/19 and while this was far from our tour date, it worked out so perfect as we were now able to spend a lot of time planning and saving to make it a perfect day. We opted for the full-service wedding coordination package which is a must if you are planning a wedding here, it allows you to stop in and coordinate as many times as you want. Jeni and Liane were also extremely prompt with responding to email inquiries and setting up appointments to come in. They also coordinated the entire wedding ceremony and reception to ensure everything ran smoothly and were on top of everything throughout the entire day! We adored the Pinterest room downstairs as well! We added so many of the HayLoft decorations to make our day complete and they have so many different items of décor to match any theme or idea you are going for at a much lower cost than purchasing yourself. In general, we couldn’t have asked for a better wedding and it was because of the hard work and passion that Jeni, Jason, Alyssa and Liane put into making this our fairytale day. They are truly an amazing crew and you can tell that they WANT to do weddings. We also got very lucky and had 3 seasons in one day at perfect timing! Sunshine and a nice breeze in the morning, light rain in the afternoon right after our first look photos and formals through the early evening and then we finished off with the first snowfall of the Buffalo season! Along with our wedding day being at the HayLoft, obviously the rehearsal was held on site the day before and we also opted to rent the awesome cottage that is on property so we could provide dinner to our family and guests following rehearsal. This also allowed a convenient option for wedding party / guests to spend the night on property following the reception.

My husband and I got married at Hayloft in the Grove on 9/21/19. We both fell in love the second we went to look at the venue and booked right away which was in August of 2017. Jeni and her team go above and beyond to make this venue the best it can be and they’re always coming up with ideas to improve. We had the wedding of our dreams here! They are so accommodating, helpful and extremely responsive anytime I had a question no matter what it was about. Our wedding day ran so smooth all thanks to Jeni and her team. We would definitely recommend this venue to anyone looking. We LOVED it!

We held our wedding here on September 1st of 2019, and can not say enough good things. We fell in love with this venue when we first looked at it in January of 2018 and immediately booked for 2019. The grounds (all 100acres) are GORGEOUS. They have a beautiful outdoor ceremony space. Unfortunately due to rain we were unable to use this, but thankfully they have an equally as beautiful indoor ceremony space in their newly renovated stables. The staff was incredibly understanding the day of when we were waiting on the weather to determine where the ceremony would be, and were very supportive throughout the entire process. The barn is absolutely gorgeous as well, and worked incredibly well for us! We had approx. 130 guests that fit comfortably inside the upstairs of the barn during cocktail hour, which was a necessity when it started down pouring outside and we were unable to utilize the patio space. The cellar setup for dinner worked amazingly and we were able to use the attached pavilion for our buffet. The reception and dancing upstairs had plenty of room and seating for all of our guests. Additionally, there are so many photography settings for your pictures the day of as well as the perfect setting for a first look. Nearly all of our guests commented to us how beautiful and unique this venue was and we couldn't agree more. This place is beautiful and the staff/owners were a huge help throughout the entire planning process as well as setting everything up and taking everything down for us the day of. We could not be happier with our decision to have our wedding here, even with the rain it was the most beautiful wedding space we have seen.
