Excellent Service Provided to Traveling DJ/MC

I traveled to the Big Island to DJ/MC a wedding, and the newlyweds rented all of my DJ and audio equipment from Hawaii Sound & Vision. When traveling, I’m always a bit nervous about rental equipment, but everything went absolutely perfectly! Jessica was incredibly responsive and kind throughout our email correspondence, and the technicians, Erin and Tyler, who helped with setup on the day of the wedding were extremely helpful and professional.

Professional, Fun, and Easy to Work With!!

Everything went so smoothly on our wedding day! Jessica was very responsible and patient, answering all my questions and explaining everything clearly. Glenn did an awesome job editing our dance mashup — it was perfect! The DJ fit our theme and mood perfectly, and the music sounded amazing. I also requested to play two slideshows, and they did them exactly the way I asked.

The sound quality throughout the ceremony and reception was clear and balanced, and the timing for every song was spot on. All our guests kept telling me everything was perfect and that they had such a great time. Everyone said they loved the music and really enjoyed the atmosphere. The whole team was professional, kind, and easy to work with from start to finish. A little pricey, but absolutely worth it. Thank you so much for helping make our day the best ever!

Wedding sound and DJ

Hawaii Sound and vision provided our amazing DJ Justin and a cool setup with dance floor, speakers, lights, the whole shebang! They really made our dance party memorable! Shoutout to Justin who did an amazing job at DJ’ing, he had great energy, and would work off the crowds energy when playing songs which made everything flow fantastically! One of the best parts of the night!

Excellent in every aspect

We hired Hawaii Sound and Vision for our wedding and we were thrilled with their services. They provided us with lighting, sound, a dance floor, and a silent disco. They were top notch in every way, from professionalism to timeliness to the quality of the items rented. Everything was seamless, we didn't really have to worry about anything when it came to their services. The silent disco was so cool and they stayed VERY late at our party to make sure we had the experience we wanted to. Highly recommend them for your lighting and sound needs.

Best dj/emcee on big island!

We researched a few DJs and were DELIGHTED with Hawaii Sound & Vision! They truly went above and beyond for our special day. They were so easy to work with and very flexible with our special requests (one of my best friends sang a couple of songs for us). Ten out of ten on terms of quality, service, and just cool people to work with! We thought we provided enough music for the various components of the wedding day but we didn't and the music they chose to fill in was perfect. If you are looking for a DJ/Emcee (especially if your venue is Hale Wailele) don't waste your time with any other vendors!! Lastly (and most importantly) people were dancing the entire evening! Hawaii Sound & Vision was very good at "reading the room" and kept people on their feet all night!

Excellent DJ

I highly recommend Hawaii Sound and Vision as a wedding DJ. They worked seamlessly with my wedding planner Kate from Sunshower Wedding and provided an outstanding experience for my special day. The DJ had a wealth of music knowledge and knew how to read the crowd, playing the right music at the right time to ensure a seamless flow of music through the wedding reception. They were also flexible, allowing me to choose specific soundtracks while also adding their own based on my selection.

The DJ's personality was amazing - friendly and outgoing, they got people on the dance floor and created a fun and memorable atmosphere. It was evident that they truly cared about making my wedding day special and went above and beyond to ensure that everything went smoothly. Overall, Hawaii Sound and Vision provided an amazing experience that exceeded all of my expectations.

Dance floor stayed LIT

All the way through the night. Glen left no crumbs; sorry, but it's true. A wonderfully warm personality who paid attention to the crowd and knew when to turn this up. Not to mention they also did the lighting and the lanterns and provided the dance floor - everything. They somehow brought the energy of India all the way to Kona, and we couldn't have been happier. Also, an all-star team in the office and super easy communication with Jessica. If you want your entire event to go off without a hitch and look SO good it's mistaken for a TV production - you need to hire Hawaii Sound & Vision.

Highly recommend!

We are SO happy we went with HSAV for our wedding and we would highly recommend them! From the first email inquiry to the event, Jessica was very responsive and friendly. The booking process was quick and easy too! Our DJ, Glenn, did such a fantastic job. He played all of our most loved songs according to the sheet we filled out prior to the wedding. But he also did a great job of reading the crowd and playing things he thought would get guests up and dancing. We honestly didn't have a huge dancing crowd but Glenn did a wonderful job getting everyone up onto the floor! We can't say enough good things about HSAV. Thank you so much to the entire team for helping to make our night so special!

Great service & price point!

HSAV was so great for our mini-wedding! I was nervous about the music for our reception because my husband and I have very different tastes - while I appreciate pop-dance music, he loves funk-rock. We created a few different playlists & a summary sheet (one for happy hour, one for dinner, one for dancing) to give an idea of how we hoped the evening would progress musically and I didn't know if they would take the time to go through it or use any of it. The big day came and they did a FANTASTIC job!! It was clear they had reviewed everything we sent, they utilized songs from the various playlists and brought in a good mix of their own. They kept the evening going and the hits coming! It was so much fun dancing with everyone and I never once felt an awkward song or transition shied anyone away from dancing. We were also able to rent disco balls from HSAV which we couldn't find anywhere else and they were a huge hit!! My only comment would be to inquire about the microphones / DJ booth equipment that will be used if you are detail oriented and want to be sure of how these will look in the background of photos like me, but otherwise you can leave the rest to them!

Excellent DJ!

You are in great hands with HSAV. I got married this past weekend and Jessica and her team did an amazing job to keep the tunes flowing and create a warm and fun dance party. First off, Jessica was incredible to work with - so responsive, understanding and kind! The music selection was perfect. While I supplied a list of songs, she incorporated additional songs that definitely vibed with my songs. She created such an awesome environment that (all 35) of my guests were having a blast and dancing until the very end! She also was very collaborative and took all our asks (from coordinating with my step mother in law for a surprise song to sing during cocktail hour to playing my husband’s exact recording for the processional!) Book HSAV - you will not be disappointed!!

Best DJ on the Big Island!

The team at HSV was incredible! If you are wanting to book a DJ for your wedding on the Big Island I would 100% tell you to work with HSV! I worked with Jessica over email for intake and booking and she was so helpful and very quick to respond. She was very clear on what to do and steps leading up to the event.

Now let me tell you about Glenn. Glenn was incredible both for our ceremony and reception but let me tell you Glenn really shined at our reception! I wrote a message to Jessica describing me and my husband’s musical tastes and Glenn went above and beyond our expectations with what he delivered! Glenn made the party! He picked the best songs and had everyone dancing all night long–none of our guests left until the very end of the reception! Fantastic services and great people!

Hawaii Sound & Vision were amazing to work with! They were very attentive to details and made sure that our wedding music was fun and engaging! The wedding questionnaire they ask you to fill out is comprehensive and allows you to specify your music likes, interests, etc. They even ask you for your preferences on personality and vibe of your sound musician! They are super thorough! There are a lot of add-ons you can choose to make your event exactly what you want! For example, I added a projector so that I can show a slideshow that I created. After postponing our wedding 2 times, we were ready to have a good time and Hawaii SAV made sure our family and friends had a good time!

Hands Down The Absolute BEST

Let me start off by saying that my wedding was THREE YEARS in the making thanks to COVID. After all that time, we finally pulled our wedding off on 7/24/21 and thanks to Hawaii Sound and Vision everyone had an AMAZING TIME. I wish I could go into all the boring details so you could see the amount of effort and work that went into planning our big day - it was A LOT - but I'll spare you. Jessica, who I worked with to plan everything ahead of time, was so sweet, kind, and helpful throughout the entire process, even when we worked our way through the pandemic.

On the day of the wedding, the HSAV team was super helpful working with my coordinator to troubleshoot some things. That night, Glenn was there to emcee with another DJ too. Everyone, including my old school parents, thoroughly enjoyed having them and left us wanting to hire them for something else.

If I could give a million stars to HSAV for everything they did, TRUST ME, I would. It's difficult, through text, to express the amount of gratitude I have for their entire team - setup staff included! If you are in the process of planning your event, I would highly, highly recommend Hawaii Sound & Vision and can 100% guarantee you will not be disappointed.

PS: They offer a LOT of different services like select rentals, DJ services, lighting, etc. Hire them for everything!!! If I could start over, I know I would have.

Awesome!!!!!

The lighting for our wedding reception was absolutely beautiful and we were so beyond grateful for everything Jessica, Glenn and the HSAV team did to help plan and setup for our special day!

From start to finish, I felt like I was treated with genuine kindness and aloha. They were so easy to work with and really listened to my wants, while also making some pretty cool suggestions along the way! Glenn was so cool and had such a happy-go-lucky attitude when we spoke on the phone - hearing him talk about the lighting got me super excited to see the finished product and I was NOT disappointed! Unfortunately he was busy during our wedding but left me in very good hands with Jessica who was very professional and patient with me throughout the final stages of our planning process. I didnt get to meet the setup and breakdown team, but from what I hear from family members, they were very pleasant and just got in there and did there thing!

Needless to say, I was very impressed. Mahalo to the HSAV team for all your hardwork and aloha - you helped make our day extra special! :)

Played all our requested music

Our DJ was wonderful and played all the songs we wanted and added songs around it that complemented our music choices - which I'm sure were not so easy as my top 15 choices ranged from Journey and Queen to Despacito and Senorita to the electric slide and cupid shuffle! But he made it work and got majority of our guests dancing the night away! It certainly got my husband and I dancing! They were flexible and somehow managed to stick to the timeline of events as well even with the long toasts some gave.

We were all surprised when the night was over because it seemed to go too quickly. Our guests said the same thing.

Amazing Experience!

It was so easy working with Hawaii Sound & Vision (not to say, our venue Daylight Mind recommended them, so it was a no brainier to choose them) We booked them over a year before our wedding and have been working with Jessica. She was so nice and answered every question I had. The process was super easy as they send a questionnaire and timeline break down of what and when to play each song. On the wedding day, we had DJ Angie and she was amazing! We only submitted a few "must play" songs but we didn't select every song we wanted her to play. We just wanted her to play what she thought the guests would enjoy (by seeing if they are on the dance floor) DJ Angie was not only good with the sound tracks, she was so accommodating to one of our friends who was probably standing next to her the whole night giving requests for songs. At the end of the night, a group of our friends were still dancing the night away and she gave us an encore even though time was up. I would definitely recommend HSV to anyone looking for a DJ in the Big Island!

Look no further for the best DJ on the island

We are SO thankful for Hawaii Sound & Vision. We hired them for our 3/9 wedding to do DJ, MC, uplighting, and dance floor lighting. We had a smaller intimate wedding but our DJ Tom kept our friends and family on the dance floor all night long. The lighting was so much better then I even imagined. We only planned for a few speeches, but when our bridal party decided to all speak, Tom didn't skip a beat and made sure every one had a chance to talk without it seeming unorganized. Working with Jessica before hand was such a breeze. She made it super easy to communicate our song choices and that was truly reflected by the amazing night we had. People can't stop talking about how our wedding was the best ever, and we owe a good part of that to Hawaii Sound & Vision. Thank you so much!

FANTASTIC experience - a MUST ADD to any wedding!

Before working with Jessica at Hawaii Sound & Vision, I mistakenly believed every DJ service was the same, they make a few dozen song selections for your evening, oversee your event, and then check out. Hawaii Sound & Vision changed the way I view DJ services, but more importantly, they MADE our ceremony and reception a perfectly coordinated flow of people and great music. We are so VERY thankful for Jessica, and her patience while working with us – for a couple planning a destination wedding, Hawaii Sound & Vision made selecting our ceremony’s music so very easy and stress free. Glenn and the HSV team are the best! Glenn was definitely the life of the party, he was very intuitive with his music selection and kept the dance floor going. The HSV team were very accommodating to all of our requests, while keeping all of the prices reasonable and affordable.

My husband and I got married in June 2018 at Daylight Mind in Kailua-Kona. Glenn and his team were so helpful and supportive throughout the planning process, which I truly appreciated as I was planning from a distance. The team answered all of my questions and were very patient with me.
On the big day, our DJ did a great job of following the timeline and I could tell the team had worked hard to use as many of our song requests as possible. It was a great night, and our guests had a great time!

Glenn of Hawaii Sound & Vision was an absolute pleasure to work with! He was very responsive and easy to talk to over email and the phone, answering all of our questions. He was also very organized, and sent us a massive list of songs before the wedding so we could highlight what we wanted and also to give him a taste of our style. We hired HSV for our wedding and they did not disappoint! We planned our wedding from New Zealand so our primary communication was through email and Jessica was very responsive and helpful. Glenn did sound for the ceremony and reception and was wonderful! He has great energy & awesome song selection that kept us dancing all night. If you're looking at getting married on the Big Island I highly recommend using HSV.

Glenn and his team were exceptional. We had a 45 minute monsoon during our event, and the team seamlessly moved equipment from outside to inside without a hitch. The level of service and professionalism I experienced from the very beginning of the planning process was second to none on the big island. Glenn was an absolute delight to work with. We had a multiday, multicultural wedding with rather complicated DJ-needs including the ability to work a moving sound system, a DJ who could mix both Western pop and bhangra music, and someone who could nail a silent disco. Needless to say, Glenn killed it! The silent disco was, without a doubt, the most awesome part of our wedding. All that aside, Glenn has a relentlessly positive presence and creative, can-do attitude that is wonderful to be around, especially in the hectic moments leading up to a big event. We L.O.V.E. Glenn! He had all the right equipment and worked with us on adding a projector + screen last minute. He was also an amazing MC - we loved the vibe he created at our wedding. Glenn was fantastic as a DJ for our wedding. Out of all the vendors I worked with, he was the most responsive and easiest to work with. He was a great MC, and kept the evening right on track. The music selection was great, and we had everybody, young and old, on the dance floor. We had a blast! The dance floor he provided was perfect as well.

Additionally, after working with him to plan the music, and seeing how professional and responsive he was, we decided to also get lighting and ceremony music/sound equipment through him. He was great at working with our budget, advising on all options, giving recommendations for our specific venue, and being flexible.

On the day of, him and his crew were there early setting up and everything went flawlessly.

I'm pretty sure Hawaii Sound and Vision were the best wedding DJs I have ever seen! We had a brunch reception, and were a little nervous that no one would want to dance, but by 2:30 PM it was a dance party! Their selection is fantastic, lots of new hits, edm remixes of classics, and tunes that even pleased the parents.

They also did the sound for our ceremony, and it's well worth it. They showed up, mic'd me, we did a 2 second test, and it all just worked.

I'll definitely be using Hawaii Sound & Vision for the next party we throw :).

I cannot say enough great things about HSAV! Our DJ read our crowd so wonderfully! The dance party (which I was a little concerned wouldn't happen) was evidence of his ability to play songs that would be well received and fun. Highly recommended!

Glenn is the best! He's extremely responsive and very accommodating. He has suggestions if you're unsure what you want and is able to deal with last minute changes. We needed to make some last minutes changes and he was able to easily accommodate our request. In addition, he was able to provide all the necessary equipment to make the ceremony, cocktail hour and reception a great experience for the guests and ourselves. Also, had a slideshow and he had everything all set up and ready to go. Lastly, we gave him some ideas of dancing music we liked and he put together a great list of songs that had guests on the dance floor the entire night!

Glen was great! Hawaii sound and vision provided music and lighting for our wedding ceremony and reception. Our ceremony and reception plan had to change last minute due to inclimate weather Glen and his crew were understanding and quickly set everything up in the new areas. Glenn is AMAZING! I'm so glad I found Hawaii Sound and Vision for my wedding- I could not be happier with how everything turned out. From the lights, to the audio set-ups (we had 3 different systems!), to the DJ'ing- he went over and beyond what I expected and was so professional, responsive, thoughtful, and flexible to my (changing!) needs even until the day-of. Glenn was the DJ and MC at our recent wedding ceremony and reception and he did an amazing job! We were planning a destination wedding and Glenn was so responsive to our email and phone communication. He had us fill out some forms, so he had an idea on the type of music we liked and the special songs we wanted. We had very complex first dance songs and father/daughter songs, which Glenn had to re-master since they were a compilation of several different songs. Glenn went above and beyond in making those songs perfect and exactly how we wanted them. When we finally got to hawaii for our wedding, Glenn met with us beforehand and made sure he knew how to pronounce everyone's names, had a good idea of the timeline, and just so he could see us as a couple. At our wedding, he gave people instruction on where to go, did the exact right amount of talking (didn't overdo or underdo it), played wonderful mixes, and kept the whole show going. He also got the party started and made our whole site beautiful. He had uplighting that matched our colors, a monogram that had our initials with our colors, and his entire DJ stand was lit up in hot pink, which was our wedding color. He made sure everyone stayed on the dance floor, took requests, and seamlessly orchestrated the speeches. He was so personable and my guests could not stop raving about him. I did a ton of research before choosing him and he was such a great value! Choosing him as our DJ was one of the best decisions we made in our wedding. Despite unplanned delays and flooding at our wedding, Glenn was very flexible and made sure we got in everything we wanted to do. He was a true pleasure to work with and became like family to us after our big day. I cannot say enough wonderful things! I would highly recommend him to anyone for their special day!!

This review is long overdue! My husband and I got married on the Big Island in July 2015 and used Hawai`i Sound & Vision at the recommendation of our wedding planners. It was amazing working with them to say the very least! We worked with Glenn 100% from the beginning of our planning and we absolutely loved working with him! Hawai`i Sound & Visionʻs collateral is extremely helpful and detailed in order to best suite our music styles and desires for our wedding. Planning our Hawai`i wedding from New York was stressful and definitely worrisome, however, working with Hawai`i Sound & Vision was thoroughly comforting! Glenn was very understanding and gave us more than enough time to go through the collateral and fill out forms. When we visited Hawai`i, he agreed to meet us to go over services as we discussed what we were expecting as a bit about us. He performed so well at our wedding that Iʻd say heʻs really a great judge of character! It seemed like he really knew us and just what songs to play when! I didnʻt once feel the urge to go up to him to request a song as I so often feel with DJs. To top it all off, three days before our wedding my dad came up with an idea to dance to a mixture of songs and surprise everyone at the wedding for our father-daughter dance. I reached out to Glenn that night and he quickly and perfectly put the best parts of each of the songs together and sent it to me the following evening. It was amazing! Glenn is extremely genuine and personable and kept our guests on the dance floor all night! He worked with us every step of the way to make sure that we had what we wanted and he made it even better! I truly would not change anything about our wedding and that night and I am so happy that we trusted Glenn and Hawai`i Sound & Vision to play such a huge role in our special day! I recommend Hawai`i Sound & Vision above all other DJ companies here in Hawai`i (I havenʻt heard any others but I donʻt need to with what I know and love about HSV!)

Our wedding was held on a remote ranch near Hawi and Hawaii Sound and Vision handled all our audio/video needs. We can't say enough about how awesome they were, especially Glenn, our DJ. Glenn was fabulous to deal with during the planning phase of the wedding/reception and was really easy to deal with. Hawaii Sound and Vision has an extensive music collection and ensured that all our concerns were addressed.

Their audio equipment produces high quality sound with deep bass and crystal clear highs. Our reception pretty much turned into an all night dance party and I attribute a lot of that to Glenn's DJ skills and intuition. He's approachable and definitely gives off a positive vibe. Several of our guests commented on how impressed they were with the DJ and the sound system.

An equally great job at the outdoor ceremony. It was a bit windy however the music was at the perfect level and Glenn blended the various songs seamlessly. Their video projector is high end and projects a bright and vibrant picture. The wireless microphone was a nice touch for the speeches and toasts.

If you're wavering on who to pick for a quality professional sound or video service, look no further!

The Dj that was provided for us was fantastic! And we're not exaggerating. First off, our ukulele player that the hotel provided, never showed up to our ceremony. So in a crunch, the hotel asked if the DJ could play. Lucky for us, she happened to keep a ukulele in her trunk, and she sang and played while I walked down the aisle. It was beautiful. Also, for the reception, all the songs we requested were played, including the wedding party announcement, son/mother, and father/daughter dances. She was an awesome DJ and nothing went wrong! If we renew our vows in Hawaii (one day), we definitely would consider her a rehire! :)

Glenn at Hawaii Sound and Vision was wonderful for our Kona Kailua, Big Island of Hawaii wedding! His contract was clear and professional. He answered every email within about 24 hours or less. He sent song lists and a reception questionnaire. This made it so easy to express our desires (and to get us organized for the big day). He made everything flow so smoothly! He knew when to move forward and when to let everyone catch their breath for a bit, quite genius. We feared rain for our outdoor wedding and Glenn was instrumental at helping us craft a bad weather recovery plan that would work. DJ Glenn was absolutely amazing!!!! I cannot express that enough. All of our previous contact and conversations during the wedding planning process through emails were very pleasant. He responds quickly, accommodates to any special request, and is very helpful when inquiring about add-ons such as speakers, projection screens, dance floors, monograms, uplighting, etc. Hawaii Sound and Vision is the whole package. They are able to customize your event to the best of their ability.

Music and selection of the DJ was a huge decision for us during the planning period. We felt that the DJ/MC would really set the tone for the wedding. Being that music was a huge deal for me, it took such a long time to get the top playlist songs and the selected songs for the bouquet toss, garter toss, money dance and all that other fun stuff out to Glenn. Glenn was very easy to work with and so stress free. I emailed him all of the info along with the introductions around 2 am the night before the wedding and he responded back right away. Given the late submission, Glenn worked with what I gave him the next day as if it were given to him months prior. He was so accommodating to all our requests! One of the best decisions we made for our wedding. Glenn far surpassed our expectations, and we felt 100% confident in his abilities before the wedding even though we were planning from a different time zone and across the ocean. Responses to emails and phone calls were always quick and very thorough. During the wedding itself, it was almost like magic-- songs we didn't mention as our favorites were played, and my husband and I were constantly asking each other, "Did you tell him to play this song?" It was like he read our minds. And he kept the party going! We didn't want a lot of talking or announcements, and Glenn was able to keep the energy up and the flow of the evening going perfectly with minimal announcements. My wife and I received a very comprehensive music list to choose from before our wedding day, with every genre you can imagine! We were then able to choose 15 songs that must be played. You can choose songs not included on the list, and Glenn was able to source and play them for us. We were delighted with how Glenn mixed the songs together, he really got our guests involved and up on the dance floor, and he was able to put on some requests from our guests too. He was very professional, with a great sense of humour, and his knowledge of how to put the music together was a huge asset to make sure our guests enjoyed our wedding night!! Thank You Glenn!!!

Glenn was amazing! We planned our entire wedding over email. Glenn and HS&V were prompt, super helpful, and extremely flexible. We did not use a wedding coordinator or planner, but Glenn personally emceed our wedding and ensured that the day flowed well. I have never been so impressed with a DJ's ability to read a crowd and create a mood that kept the party going! The dance floor was packed all night. I would highly recommend Glenn and HS&V to ANYONE who needs services on the Big Island for any event.

I was planning a destination wedding on the Big Island and luckily found Hawaii Vision and Sound to DJ my wedding. Throughout the process Glenn was always quick to respond and really put the extra effort into making sure our event turned out perfectly. Glenn was an excellent MC and set the mood perfectly for the entire reception blending our requested songs with other great selections. I recieved many compliments about the music and even had a request for a playlist from the evening! As a bride planning a wedding from afar I would 100% recommend Hawaii Vision and Sound to make a smooth and memorable reception.

Glenn at HSV came through for us in a huge way. Ready to DJ our wedding at the drop of a hat, he saved us from an unresponsive shitty attitude part-time DJ. HSV is a bit more expensive than some of the part-timers but the peace of mind is WELL worth it.

I just felt bad for Glenn because we had a subdued, mellow wedding lol He knows his stuff so if you hire him give him something to work with!

We are so happy we worked with Hawaii Sound and Vision. We had contacted a few DJs on the Big Island but from our very first meeting with Glenn, we knew that we were in great hands. During our ‘reconnaissance’ visit to Hawaii, Glenn turned us on to several DJs that would fit our style and we were able to hear the DJs in action before choosing one that we loved. We ended up choosing DJ Luckey who was great. He kept the party going all night long and even played an encore at the end of the night! He played all of the songs we wanted and also took requests. He played a bit of everything and appealed to everyone from my wife’s 80-year-old grandma to my 5-year-old niece. We also wanted a traditional Hawaiian sound/vibe at our wedding. Glenn recommended Bula, who played the acoustic guitar, to perform at our ceremony and cocktail hour. He was amazing and could play/sing any song you can think of. All of our guests commented on how amazing Bula was and we highly recommend him for your event. It really gave our big day that extra special touch and island flair. They also did lighting for our reception. Hawaii Sound and Vision was very affordable compared to other quotes we received. I would definitely recommend Glenn, DJ Luckey, and Bula to anyone considering getting married on the Big Island. They were awesome in every way, were very easy to work with, and we couldn’t imagine anyone better!

He was incredibly nice and very professional and multiple people commented on how great the music was. Had a 4th of July wedding at the Four Seasons Hualalai on the Big Island in Hawaii. The Four Seasons had recommended Hawaii Sound and Vision to us. We were fortunate to have 2 DJs Glenn Schultz and Maka Gallinger during our wedding reception. We submitted a play list to them a couple weeks before our wedding and they were able to accommodate us by playing our songs. Glenn and Maka were exceptional DJs. My husband and i got married in Hawaii on June 16 2013 and used Hawaii Sound & Vision at the recommendation of the hotel we were married in. They were AMAZING! Not only did Glenn, the owner, mix together a special father-daughter dance song for my dad and I, he did it within a week of the wedding. The song was perfect, our guests loved the dance. He worked with me every step of the way to make sure we had the right music for our guests and the type of mood we were trying to create. Our reception was perfect. We had a small wedding of 27 people but never once was the dance floor empty. A great mix of music was played, he played perfectly to the crowd and never once seemed corny or over the top. Absolutely professional. I truly would not change anything about the night and highly recommend this company for any type of wedding or event.

I loved working with HVS from the very beginning. Glenn was prompt in email and always postive and up lifting with a great energy that could be felt through his emails. Glenn was great to work with through and through especially on the day of the wedding. We had a few last minute changes and he kept things rolling and no one would have known these changes occurred. He kept the party rolling and had everyone up and dancing! He really nailed our taste of music. He and his crew were beyond awesome!!

Glenn Shultz was the DJ at our wedding and he was amazing! Super responsive and very professional. He also had a range of music that was above and beyond any other DJ I've worked with before (I arrange events for my work as well). Not only did he have all the odd assortment of songs my fiance and I requested, he actually encouraged us to come up with our own personal playlist (in the past, DJs I've used only wanted to stick to their own set playlists). Glenn and his assistant were great. I'd highly recommend them.

Glen from Hawaii sound and Vision was awesome! Very flexible when I asked to changed a couple things, available when I had questions, let me choose what I wanted and also had a lot of options to choose from. The price was reasonable, especially when compared to other vendors. Everything went as planned. Lucky was our DJ and we really enjoyed him! He had a great personality, was involved enough and was flexible when we changed the timeline and added in a speech. All in all, had a great experience with them and would highly recommend!!

We had our wedding at a private house on the beach. The reception was on the large patio of the house (60-70 people). We wanted a microphone for speaches, speakers, and a sound system that we could connect an ipod to for music during the cocktail house, dinner and dancing at the end of the evening. I had talked with several AV rental companies in the area. Glenn not only had the best price for services, it was a PLEASURE working with him. He returned all calls promptly and answered every question I had. The other AWESOME thing about Glenn and his company is that they deliver and set up the equipment. Included in that is a brief (10 min) tutorial on how to work the equipment (very very simple). He then comes and picks up the equipment. There was NO work on our part at all - just running the ipad. The equipment was high quality and worked perfectly. I could not recommend them more highly. I dealt with a lot of vendors and rental companies for my wedding and Glenn was one of the easiest and most efficient.

Glenn was a great emcee/DJ for our wedding. We spoke prior to the event and he made me feel comfortable going into my wedding that we were on the same page on the spirit of the wedding. Onsite Glenn did an amazing job of reading the crowd and assuring everyone was having a good time. Even the rain didn't phase Glenn as he kept the party going. He guided us real-time as we adjusted the schedule to how the evening played out and ended the evening on time and with a bang! I highly recommend Glenn to keep the wedding on schedule and in great spirits.

We worked with Glenn, who was very responsive to our emails as we did much of our planning from Japan. Our wedding was on the Big Island. From the beginning, Hawaii Sound & Vision was very professional with outlines to help us plan the ceremony and reception. They had every American, Japanese and local song we asked of them. They provided us with music for the ceremony and reception, DJ & MC services, and TV/DVD player for our videos. Unexpectedly, there was a secret message video for my wife and I also. All the music was on cue and just the right volume and clarity. Their equipment is top notch. Also, I never noticed much of their set-up and tear down, they did it so cleanly. I couldn't have been happier with their services, and especially to Glenn.

Glenn was great. At first, I considered doing the event without a DJ - but just thought it would be too much hassle to have one of my friends MC.

Glenn really kept the night flowing, had great energy, delivered great MC and DJ services, and was very easy to work with. On top of that - I looked at 3 to 4 other DJs - he was the cheapest quote.

Another consideration is that the cost of speakers and other equipment easily runs $300+ at the hotel where I was doing my wedding (Hapuna Prince). So, Glenn provided us with all the equipment, and his services, and it wasn't too much incremental over just the cost of equipment.

It was easily worth the price for his services.

Glenn was absolutely amazing! He was so patient with me throughout the process and incredibly reliable and fun on the wedding day.
