Fantastic Wedding Food!

Harvest Moon Catering and MS Event Rentals were absolutely fantastic. The food was incredible—fresh, beautifully presented, and a huge hit with our guests. Cameron from Harvest Moon was especially wonderful: attentive, responsive, and on top of every detail from start to finish! He brought our vision to life and was a pleasure to work with.

MS Event Rentals was equally impressive. Their bar setup and glassware were gorgeous and added such a polished, elevated look to our reception. Everything was delivered and arranged professionally, and their team was a pleasure to work with.

We couldn’t have asked for a better experience with both companies. Highly recommend!

Great staff!

We had a great experience with Harvest Moon Catering for our wedding at Montfair Resort Farm this summer.

Best Choice for Our Wedding

We cannot believe just how incredible it was to work with Harvest Moon as both our catering service, as well as our day of coordination, for our wedding. Simply speaking, we were blown away by the attention to detail and level of care they put into their craft. Not only was the process of requesting a proposal and having the initial meetings very easy to complete, we as a couple felt incredibly supported from the initial email to the end of our wedding night. We also loved the tasting and planning process and how everything was tailored to us as a couple. Additionally, incorporation of table, linen, flatware, etc rentals made staying organized with all of our needs for dinner service extremely easy. The food was delicious, upscale restaurant-level quality, and everything that we wanted to celebrate this next chapter in life.

The real star, in our opinion, was our coordinator Kylie. Her upbeat attitude and unwavering professionalism made our experience working with Harvest Moon a true dream. She listened to all of our details and desires and incorporated them with enthusiasm, as well as gave her honest input throughout the planning process. We have so much gratitude for her and to Harvest Moon and general for making our wedding a dream come true.

Excellent Quality & Service

Harvest Moon catered our wedding and was absolutely fantastic. They were so flexible and helped bring to life the menu we dreamed of combining a Lebanese and French inspired theme. Harvest moon and becky are number 1

Harvest moon catering did our wedding October 11th at Mount Ida and everything was more than amazing. The food was phenomenal and our personal server Cynthia was so perfect.

I also wanted to give a huge shout out to Becky. Becky did an INCREDIBLE job through this whole process with me. Our wedding planner wasn’t on top of things, but Becky was. She constantly reassured us how perfect everything would be. She took initiative to fix our inaccurate floor plan. And she responded to emails in a matter of seconds. She was receptive, knowledgeable, and flexible. She is even working on us getting money back when our guest count dramatically changed due to the hurricane in Florida. We couldn’t have asked for a better caterer. Thanks Becky!!!!

Excellent food and service!

My husband and I used harvest moon for our wedding in July at king family vineyard. We worked with Kylie, who was amazing throughout the whole process from tasting to the wedding itself. The food and service were both wonderful, and the team worked seamlessly with KFV staff. Couldn’t recommend enough!

Harvest Moon was such a pleasure to work with! They were extremely responsive and communicative leading up to the wedding. They did a great job working with us and my wedding planner, and listened to our food preferences and dietary restrictions of our guests. Great experience, great food

We were so impressed with Harvest Moon and Kylie's whole team! The table setups were beautiful and guests kept raving about how good the food was (which I feel is quite an accomplishment since generally my expectations for wedding food are low). I can't throw enough of an endorsement behind the mashed potatoes and mac n cheese! The tasting process was also fun. We also did an open bar package and the drinks were tasty (our specialty cocktails were a hit) and the bartenders kept the party going! All in all, it was a great experience!

The absolute best!

Planning a menu for a backyard wedding in rural Virginia is no easy feat, but Harvest Moon certainly makes it look easy. The food is so incredible, and tasted just as delicious and fresh on our wedding day as it did during our tasting nearly a year earlier. We loved all of the optionality in creating our menu, and their ability to cater to certain dietary restrictions. We still crave some of our wedding day menu, that's how good the food is. In close partnership with their beverage director, we loved picking out local beers and wines that paired perfectly with our menu.

We also engaged Harvest Moon for day-of coordination services, which was the biggest relief in our day. Kylie is a lifesaver, and her tip-top organization and wonderful spirit made our pre-planning and day-of a total breeze. We always knew she had our backs. Especially in coordinating vendors to a rural area, which can come with its own challenges, Kylie and the whole Harvest Moon team never lost sight of a single detail. With curveballs like rain and last-minute tent calls, Kylie and the whole Harvest Moon crew were utterly professional and unflappable. We would have been lost without them! Our wedding day remains one of the happiest in our lives, in large part due to Harvest Moon's professionalism, care, and excellent service. If I had to do our wedding all over again, I would pick Harvest Moon again and again!

Harvest Moon were a joy to work with

From the very beginning, Harvest Moon was extremely responsive and clear about pricing, packages, and flexible options. We worked with Brittany (BK) who was fantastic, and they even worked with us to incorporate some Middle Eastern options into our wedding day. Our tasting was incredibly fun, and a highlight of the wedding planning process for us. They made us feel special and cared for throughout. The food itself was fantastic. It was very impressive how well they captured the flavors of dishes they had not made before. The beverages were also a highlight and all of our guests loved the mixed drinks and mocktails. We had a significant number of people at our wedding who were not drinking, and Harvest Moon worked with us to make sure we had great options for everyone, including a sparking cider toast in place of a champagne toast. We served a combination of our own Middle Eastern deserts and Harvest Moon’s excellent deserts and they set them all up beautifully. We are still getting compliments on our wedding food months later. Harvest Moon was a pleasure to work with throughout and we would highly recommend them.

Responsive, detail oriented and professional

Anne and the HMC team were extremely responsive throughout the entire planning process. Editing and adjusting multiple proposals for us to select from which is what you need when planning such a massive event. We highly recommend opting for the menu tasting, it gave us the opportunity to adjust flavors and provide feedback on the food. It was clear from that one tasting Anne meticulously relayed our comments to her team and they were applied to our reception.

When you hire HMC you are paying for a level of detail that other vendors will simply miss.

Stress-free, delicious catering

Harvest Moon was extremely responsive and easy to work with. The food was delicious and the service was phenomenal. There was a change in staff the week before my wedding, so I had a different “event producer” the day of my wedding than the person I had spent months working with. Needless to say, I was very nervous, but they handled the transition seamlessly and I always felt I had exactly what I needed the day of. They made sure my husband and I always had a drink and food within reach and that any leftovers we wanted were reserved. We made last minute changes to our signature drinks and they completely knocked it out of the park. Harvest Moon also has wonderful options for various dietary needs, which was a huge stress-reliever.

Delicious and Wonderful to Work With!

During my initial planning process, I reached out several vendors. Harvest Moon was the only one that was extremely responsive and made us feel like we were actual customers. We loved that they offered a free tasting prior to contracting- which was absolutely delicious- and we left it knowing that we didn't want anyone else to cater for our special day. Even in the middle of a coordinator change, the process was extremely smooth and professional. The price was very reasonable, they were very understanding and flexible, and we felt that they listened to us and our feedback without judgement or complaints. The food was absolutely delicious and our guests all agreed!!! Highly recommend this amazing team!

Delicious, well prepared food, even better service!

When I see Harvest Moon, I already know there’s going to be amazing food. I’ve known of Harvest Moon for a bit having lived in Charlottesville most of my life, so I always knew their food was good. I found out during my wedding planning process that their food was not only delicious but their service was top notch as well. Our tasting was more than enough to completely blow my socks off. Our appetizer/small plates were to die for and they had a wide selection to chose from.. We had little tomato bisque shooters with grilled cheese, crab cakes, chicken and waffles, a cheese board, and a biscuit board - we had the works and they absolutely delivered!. I did not mistype up above, I had a biscuit board. You should seek them out for your next event for that alone. Now that I’m done drooling about our appetizers, I can talk about the mains. We had the choice of a delectable sirloin in a demi-glaze and salmon in a caper butter sauce that literally melted in your mouth. We served mac and cheese, mashed potatoes and broccoli as side choices and I could eat that mac and cheese every day for the rest of my life and be happy. All of this was done buffet style as well and you wouldn’t know it by the taste and quality of the food. Everything was just done so immaculately. Their amazing wait staff was just the cherry on the already supremely impressive sundae. Noelle made sure I wanted for nothing at all, I was never hungry or thirsty under her watchful eye and I truly could never thank her enough for it. We even had them supply our bar and our specialty cocktails could not have been more impressive. The bar offerings were as tasty as they were strong and I couldn’t have wished for better. The bartenders were just on top of things all night long, lines never got long or crazy and no one ever went thirsty. Even outside of the actual execution, Anne and Mia were a literal godsend when it came to planning and contracts and all the less than fun stuff outside of just stuffing your face. We felt so taken care of by them, and that it wasn’t just some event they were working. They really demonstrated their care and commitment to high quality service to ensure that we had everything we wanted and more. I could go on and on and on but you have to try them for yourself to see what I’m talking about. Trust me, you will not be disappointed!!

The BEST caterer!

We cannot say enough good things about Harvest Moon! They were so helpful and patient in answering all of our questions while planning (thank you Charlee!) Simply the best!

Hiring Harvest Moon was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. From our first tasting to the wedding itself, they were fabulous to work with every step of the way. Their professionalism and kindness made a stressful planning process a whole lot easier, and on top of it all their food is DELICIOUS. Our guests still are saying that the food was some of the best they’ve ever had at a wedding!! My parents are also big into wine, so Harvest Moon connected us directly with their wine provider, who worked with my dad to select bottles that they were both excited about. Above and beyond!!

In addition to wonderful food, Harvest Moon was just spectacular to work with as well. When my husband and I had to postpone our wedding due to COVID concerns, the Harvest Moon team was so kind and understanding that it almost made me cry from gratitude (instead of from panic, which was a nice change of pace at that moment in time). And Mia in particular deserves a huge shout out. At our 30-day walkthrough she asked all sorts of questions I never would have thought of, and projected such confidence that she put me immediately at ease. On the wedding day itself she made sure my husband and I both got to eat plenty (a miracle!) and that our champagne glasses were always topped off. The HMC staff also sent us home with extra servings of each appetizer, entrée, and cake in the trunk of our getaway car.

We are so, so happy with our decision to hire Harvest Moon. And you should 100% hire them as well! They are, quite simply, the best.

* Update 2022 - We had the pleasure of working with Harvest Moon again for our large reception (thanks, Covid) and were once again beyond impressed. Anne was our day-of coordinator and handled everything with poise and expertise. The food was once again amazing, the drinks were wonderful, and our day was simply perfect. I would not hesitate to hire Harvest Moon again in the future!!

Amazing food and service!

Charlee and her team at Harvest Moon were amazing! We didn’t have very many specific requests, but they anticipated every detail we could have possibly had! The food was AMAZING and the desserts were delicious as well. Almost immediately after the ceremony, when we were taking a few family portraits during cocktail hour, the HM staff came over with two of our signature cocktails and two of each passed hors d'oeuvres. They also packed us a small “picnic” for after the wedding and wrapped up two of each of our desserts (which was great because I was too busy dancing to even make it to the dessert bar).

Fantastic experience!

Titling this review a "fantastic experience", I feel, is underselling our experience with Harvest Moon. From the tasting, to the months of navigating through this pandemic, to the actual wedding that took place two days ago, Harvest Moon has been attentive, flexible and responsive.

Our tasting experience with Harvest Moon blew the rest of the competition out of the water. The food was incredible (and frankly comparable to some Michelin starred restaurants we've been to)! They were also honest and transparent; Sally and Charlee took notes on what we liked and what we did not and sent them to us for review.

We had to downsize our wedding from 200 to 20 due to the pandemic; Harvest Moon not only accommodated our requests, their prices remained competitive and reasonable. Prior to the wedding, they noted that my now sister-in-law has an extensive list of food allergies and created a menu just for her for our reception.

On the day of, they were able to replicate the quality of their food for a larger group. In addition, their staff was professional and courteous. They also made sure we ate, and gave us a little to-go bag of goodies. We are elated we went with Harvest Moon as our caterer, and they are one of the best decisions we made for our wedding.

**This was a micro wedding held on April 3, 2021 with all participants either fully vaccinated or tested negative for COVID19 twice**

A thousand thanks from a COVID bride

Great communication and even better food! I’m so glad we had HM with us for our wedding day, not only did they adapt to COVID restrictions they made sure that we weren’t left hanging when we needed to postpone then move up our wedding. I’m seriously dreaming of our cocktail appetizers and wish I could make salmon like theirs at home. If your looking for a caterer in the Charlottesville area there really is no other choice. From rentals, to securing specific foods to make your wedding day memorable they really do go above and beyond. I wish they had a restaurant we could visit year after year to relive our wedding day. Out of This World!

Not only did Harvest Moon create the most unique and fun menu for our October Fest themed palette, but the staff went above and beyond on our wedding day! The attention to detail, hospitality, and service was superb! They even made my husband's grandmother's signature dish that tasted just like hers! The communication for the year of planning could not have gone smoother! Trust is so important when hiring your caterer and Harvest Moon went above and beyond to make our special day perfect. I never had any hesitation when it came to Sally, Charlee and their team. Our guests still are speaking of how amazing the presentation and food was! You cannot go wrong with Harvest Moon!

More than just amazing food

After our tasting, my husband and I knew we had to hire Harvest Moon between how delicious the food was and how professional they were. My husband was so impressed that the entire time up until our wedding he kept saying "I can't wait for the food!" Our guests were just as impressed as we were. From the hors d'oeuvres to dinner, everything was perfect. Our guests raved about our food to us during the wedding and even after the wedding we keep hearing how great the food was. One of my bridesmaid is a vegetarian and when she saw that the vegetarian dish had brussels sprouts she told the staff member it was her favorite vegetable and they brought her more brussels sprouts. It's the small details like that that go above and beyond.
We also loved how Harvest Moon went above and beyond to take care of us during the wedding. Right after our ceremony, my husband and I took a moment alone in the bridal quite and they brought us drinks and the appetizers. That was one of our favorite moments of the day. There was always a member of their staff making sure we had what we needed during dinner.
Harvest Moon also made our cake and cupcakes. Our cake was beautiful and exactly like the picture I sent.
Besides the food, Harvest Moon is professional, responsive and makes sure your day goes smoothly. Your event coordinators blur the line between caterer and planner which is really nice. They have a venue walk through with you to plan every detail and help you make your layout/seating chart for dinner. Anne and Mia were constantly dealing with my constant emails and ever-changing details because of the pandemic and I was so grateful for their guidance. Harvest Moon is way more than a caterer.

Amazing Experience with Harvest Moon Catering!

We hired HMC for our September 2020 wedding. Planning a wedding through a pandemic was so challenging, but the team at HMC was so flexible and accommodating to our rapidly changing guest list. Kristi and Mark were fantastic to work. The food was over the top amazing and the steps that they implemented to help keep our guests safe during the reception were fantastic. I wouldn't think twice about booking them again for any future events.

HMC feels like your best friend who just happens to be helping you plan your wedding

HMC is no-brainer pick for a wedding caterer. My mother and stepfather had used HMC for their wedding a couple years earlier as well, where they served only appetizers (tons of them). When it was my turn, my husband and I considered only 1 other caterer, but easily selected HMC as they were the easiest and most flexible to work with to make our vision come true. We also used HMC for our lunch at King Family Vineyards (as the wedding party were there a couple hours before cocktail hour started in order to take photos), to rent additional décor, create our custom bride/groom-only wedding cake, and our takeaway gifts (to-go cookies as the guests got back on the bus), as well as to provide the wedding day-of planner. Their expertise was extremely helpful. We worked mostly with Natalie who was the absolute best - she was so professional and so friendly that we felt like we had one of our closest friends working behind the scenes at our wedding to make our vision come to life perfect. So reassuring! The day-of went seamlessly with all the décor, set up, and food. The HMC staff even brought my husband and I our signature cocktails as we took photos to kick off cocktail hour and so helpful to help plan a surprise dessert for my sister who also had her birthday that day. All the food was delicious and the guests were raving about it afterwards, particularly as the enjoyed the tasty appetizers as they took in the views of the Blue Ridge Mountains.

We had a wonderful experience working with Harvest Moon! Everyone on their staff is SO kind and SO helpful. Want to especially thank Mark and Kristi who took care of us the whole way through. They were so fun to work with! From initial conversations to the tasting to the big day - they made it all seamless. They were able to take our ideas and turn them into reality - and honestly it all turned out way better than we could have even imagined! They thought about every single detail and they were so organized throughout the entire process. And everyone raved about our food as well! I would work with them again in a heartbeat!!!!

Harvest Moon is amazing!

We hired Harvest Moon for our Charlottesville wedding in January 2020, and it could not have been a better experience. Sally was a pleasure to work with, and the food was absolutely amazing! Many of our guests came up to us during the wedding to comment on how great the food was. Harvest Moon was also incredibly attentive to details, and made every effort to ensure allergies and food sensitivities would be taken care of. We couldn't have asked for better catering!

Best decision we made

Working with Harvest Moon was the best decision we made for our wedding. They were so incredibly easy to work with, responsive, and flexible--and the food was amazing.

We had some difficulties with our primary wedding planner and made several last minute and major changes, including (two weeks before the wedding) deciding to have Harvest Moon provide alcohol rather than working with our wedding planner to purchase it ourselves. That required major changes on Harvest Moon's part, and they were quick, efficient, communicative, and professional throughout what could have been a chaotic time. Everything went off perfectly thanks to them.

We thought about going with a slightly cheaper and less established company for our caterer. While I can't speak to what that experience would have been, I can say that we were so grateful to have Harvest Moon's expertise and incredible operation behind us for the wedding. We had total confidence in them and it was wonderful to be able to not stress about anything they were in charge of handling. I can't recommend them highly enough.

Outstanding

I was so impressed working with this team. Not only was their execution flawless, but Cristina and Alison were proactive and strategic in helping me accomplish my vision, while also being cognizant of my budget. It was always a 1+1=3 equation when I had a call with them. They understood what I wanted, and used their experience and expertise to provide ideas and solutions I never would have thought of.
The food is AMAZING. I set my bar pretty low for wedding food, so assumed this was just overpriced wedding industry stuff. No - this food is AWESOME. My husband was being very frugal when doing menu selections. But when we did our tasting, he kept yessing things without asking the prices because we just wanted all our friends and family to share in the deliciousness we just got to taste!
The bonus with HM is that they handle all the rentals - it's totally hassle free.
Lastly, they are more than just caterers. They basically trumped my wedding planner in most instances. Cristina and Alison were helping with my train when I was outside taking photos! They were there to make my DAY great, not just execute their specific responsibilities. I felt like they were an extension of my friends and family that I got to spend the day with.
I'm looking for an excuse to throw a big party and work with them again. I miss you ladies!

Delicious food with options for every taste and style

The one thing you do not want to be known for is the wedding with the bad food. Well if you choose Harvest Moon, I promise you will not have to worry about that. They have many options for every diet and taste, and all of them are incredible. They are super helpful in choosing the menu and were very professional.

Incredible!!

WOW. We had SO many compliments about Harvest Moon after our wedding in October. Between the delicious food, the beautiful spread, and the attentive staff I can not say enough great things about them. My husband and I even had our own VIP person (shout out to Megan!!) who brought over some drinks and appetizers while we were taking pictures after the ceremony so we didn't miss out on all the yummy cocktail hour food. I would absolutely recommend Harvest Moon to anyone having a wedding. Admittedly, they are a little pricey but it is well worth it because the service and food is amazing!!

Best Catering Team!

We LOVED Natalie and the Harvest Moon catering team we worked with! They were such an integral part of our wedding day.

Right after our tasting, we knew they were the ones. Their tasting was so professional, and even then they went above and beyond by recreating my favorite dessert from a D.C. bakery. Throughout the planning process, they made everything so EASY - the menu options they presented were already amazing, plus they were super flexible to try anything not on their menu. Best examples: late night breakfast tacos and honey butter chicken biscuits (some staples from my hometown in Texas), a boozy milkshake cocktail in lieu of a groom's cake. We liked that they had their rentals in-house (one less vendor to hire!). The bar service was also incredible - they absolutely nailed our signature cocktails (they were so good they were dangerous). Service was really professional and we felt like VIPs all night. Prices seemed to be on par with other caterers in the area, and we definitely felt like we got what we payed for. Highly recommend Harvest Moon!

Best Catering Ever!

A review will follow, so if you are just scanning through reviews, know that you should stop your search for a caterer and hire Harvest moon. They are absolutely the best.

Living in Charlottesville, I had been to many events that had been catered by Harvest Moon such as the CBIC Gala. When it came time to choose a caterer for our wedding, our wedding planner suggested Harvest Moon. Fortunately, that same day, I was at a Cville Climate Council meeting and sat next to Mark Hahn, President of Harvest Moon. It was a great first impression, seeing that they are passionate about better climate practices. We briefly chatted about how I would like to include traditional Persian dishes at my wedding, an option that many Charlottesville caterers would be unable to provide. Mark directed me to planner, Cristina and chef, Bryan, two of the most wonderful people you will ever meet. Cristina knew everything about everything and Bryan is not only a chef, but also a wizard. They held multiple tastings for my family to make sure the Persian food was just right. My mom went back and forth from northern VA to Cville, driving down Persian food for them to try. She also sent videos of her cooking. Bryan welcomed all feedback. The wedding day could not have gone any better. Cristina made sure the setup was perfect at the ceremony area and under the tent for dinner. The food was outstanding. Many attendants talked about how it is the best food they have ever had at a wedding! Even the Persian guests mentioned that Bryan’s Ghormeh Sabzi is some of the best they have ever had! The bartenders did a great job making sure everybody’s glass was full. Our signature drinks were the Kentucky Wildcat and the Bee’s Knees, both very popular among our guests. It was such a special night for us and a big part of it was thanks to the spectacular service provided by Harvest Moon.

Amazing Caterers!

Harvest Moon was recommended through my venue my then fiancé and I decided to make an appointment for a tasting. The service at the tasting was beyond excellent. The portions were large, the food delicious, and Sally sat with us the whole time taking notes on what we liked and did not like. We went to a couple of other tastings at other places and the service was nothing compared to Harvest Moon's service! Sally was very accommodating and let us do a second tasting while we were trying to refine our menu more. Once again the attention to detail and service were excellent!

So far we have received excellent reviews from our wedding guests on the quality of the food! Everyone has said the food was really good! I am very happy we went with Harvest Moon!

Best. Caterers. Ever.

From the tasting to the wedding reception, Harvest Moon was a pleasure to work with (especially Sally J.)! Their attention to detail, culinary vision, and creativity made for an exquisite feast.

I especially want to praise how they embraced a cross-cultural menu (in our case, American and Indian). Guests enjoyed Southern fried chicken and saag paneer side by side. Each morsel--from the pimento cheese biscuits to the raspberry-almond macarons--was divine. In fact, my mother-in-law, from Mumbai, assumed that we had hired a chef from an Indian restaurant! I don't know what higher praise they could get!

I can't recommend them highly enough!

Harvest Moon = best decision

I can't say enough good things about our experience with Harvest Moon! To list a few:
- On the day of, everything was smooth and flawless
- During our wedding, our VIP servers forced my husband and me to eat, which in retrospect, was 100% necessary. They somehow ensured we did not go hungry while still allowing us to mingle and talk with everyone. Shout out to Maeve, Ivan, and Che!
- During the tasting, we had some constructive feedback that Harvest Moon took seriously and truly perfected for our wedding day
- Our wedding guests wouldn't stop talking about how good the food was
- One of my and my husband's biggest pet peeves at weddings is when vegetarian/vegan meals aren't substantial. This was not the case at our wedding; Harvest Moon took our dietary needs seriously and ensured everyone was fed well and full at the end of the night
- Natalie, our event producer, worked with us to make all of the above happen and ensure everything was perfect. She brought creative ideas to us and helped us brainstorm different foods, serving options, floor plans, etc and all in all she is amazing to work with!

I highly recommend anyone work with Harvest Moon for their wedding or any other event!

Great caterer!

Working with Sally and Harvest Moon was one of the best decisions we made! We met with several caterers and knew immediately after our tasting with Harvest Moon that they were the best choice for us. All of the food was amazing, and Sally was attentive to our requests and worked with us to pick a menu with variety that worked well for a spring wedding.

The day-of staff were incredibly professional, helpful, and friendly to us and all of our guests. Dinner was moved up at the very last minute due to incoming weather, and Sally and the team were able to handle it seamlessly. The food was served promptly and tasted just as good as it did during our tasting. The plating of each dish was nicely done as well, and they really took care to ensure that each guest received the best dish possible.

Sally is the most organized person you will ever meet. She made the entire process so easy to plan, and was always available whenever we had a question or needed advice. During our venue walkthrough, Sally was on top off all of the details and worked with our planner to make sure everything was covered. We had some last minute meal changes for a few guests and Sally was on top of it without any problem.

Having Sally and Harvest Moon as part of our team was fantastic. Highly recommend them to anyone looking for a caterer!

Highly Recommend!

We are so thankful we chose Harvest Moon to cater our reception! Not only is the food phenomenal, but Mark and his team have a wealth of knowledge regarding multiple wedding venues around the Charlottesville area. Harvest Moon worked with us on our menu, providing sample items but modifying accordingly and ensuring that each one of our guests (some with a list of allergies) were able to enjoy the food without concern. I have friends and family still raving about the food we had at our reception, and one friend even commented that she's never enjoyed every single bite of food at a wedding - until ours! The staff was professional and attentive, and everyone was smiling and seemed to be enjoying their job as well!

Harvest Moon knew our venue (James Monroe's Highland) so well and were able to lead walk throughs efficiently and patiently even when there was a change of staff at the actual venue. It was also really nice that they supplied linens and they worked with tenting vendors directly to help us with light rentals, heaters and side paneling - one less detail for us to worry about!

Working with Kristi as our day of coordinator through HM was by far the best decision that we made for our wedding day. She thought of every single detail, stayed up late ensuring that each detail was thought through, and communicated in a timely manner though she was quite busy herself at the start of wedding season. Though I am not a details person, I am so thankful that Kristi is so that our day went so smoothly! She provided schedules and timelines well in advance that were so valuable, and she communicated with everyone so that the week of, we really were hands off to slow down and enjoy. Despite lots of moving pieces with our wedding day with the ceremony at UVA Chapel and then reception at Highland, our entire wedding day went seamlessly, and we have to credit Kristi for this. Hands down, the best decision we made! Would 100% recommend working with her for a day of coordinator to anyone in the area!

Hands down the best!!

This team is incredible! So grateful for Sally's patience and expertise as I modified our vision multiple times. She was sweet and receptive the entire way through. The food was AMAZING - we received many comments on how awesome it was with quality just the same, if not better, as the tasting for the big day. Sally and her team even cooked a late night snack my sister had brought in from my hometown - a late night tradition that was very special to me. Time and time again, this team accommodated all of our requests to make our vision perfect. Aside from phenomenal food, I think I am most grateful for the extreme organization and responsiveness of Sally and her team. Planning a wedding can be stressful and waiting on vendors to respond to questions and to do so completely can wear on you. With HMC, I had answers to all my emails almost immediately. Somehow they managed to keep so many details in such magnificent order, everything went off without a hitch! If you want a team that is super experienced, offers exceptional service and will work tirelessly to make your dream a reality, I could not recommend HMC any more highly! BEST experience EVER

Harvest Moon Catering is way more than just a caterer. Working with them was quite possibly one of the best decisions I made in the wedding planning process! Not only was the food beyond incredible, but they were extremely accommodating to my food allergies. Between our initial conversation with Cristina to our daily conversations with Allison, there was never a moment where I felt stressed or unsure of the catering part of the wedding. I did not lift a finger for the rehearsal dinner or the day of the wedding and I know it was because of the amazing staff and Allison as our coordinator. They worked with us and our budget, our suggestions for the bar and gave us the most incredible service for our reception. I cannot recommend Harvest Moon highly enough! They created a spectacular day for us with absolutely delicious food and seamless service, as well as incredible presentation. My husband and I felt so well-taken care of - I was never without a glass of wine (this is important on your wedding day), and a delicious hors d'oeuvre or other bite to eat was never far away. Both Mark and Kristi at Harvest Moon provided excellent recommendations for food, beverages, and everything in between. The tasting process for our final menu decisions felt like we were eating out at a fancy restaurant! I also felt that Mark, Kristi, and the other staff we worked with were very flexible, and also kept us on track with timing before our wedding. All of our wedding guests commented on how delicious the food was! Harvest Moon really completes the picture for your wedding, and I am constantly grateful that we were able to work with them!

Hire Harvest Moon

I don't have enough amazing things to say about Harvest Moon! They were the first and only caterer we tasted with and we knew right away that their services and quality couldn't be beat. I always thought the caterer only provided the food but quickly learned that they do so much more and are such an huge part of your planning and wedding day. On top of delicious and beautiful food, Harvest Moon has their business model down to a science and that is what really sealed the deal for me. From start to finish the staff was extremely attentive, helpful and communicative and I never once questioned whether everything would be exactly the way we planned for. Everything turned out even more beautiful and amazing than we could have imagined thanks to the Harvest Moon team! I can't recommend this vendor enough

Truly Remarkable Catering Service

My husband and I planned an elopement wedding in just under 6 weeks. As you can imagine, we were scrambling to get vendors booked on short notice and pull everything together in time for our special day. The staff at Harvest Moon Catering were absolutely phenomenal. They were so kind and accommodating. They helped us finesse the perfect menu and event. They came to the venue the morning of our wedding to meet with the host and view the lay of they land. They showed up on time as promised and set everything up during our ceremony. At this point, I had talked to them enough to know that I had nothing to worry about. When we came in for dinner with our guests, everything was laid out BEAUTIFULLY! The service was 5 star and the food was out of this world. Everyone went back for seconds and the guests were literally fighting over leftovers. We provided our own alcohol, but they suppled a bartender and he was top notch. We cannot recommend this company enough!!!! Thank you Harvest Moon for helping to make our day so special!!!

Great experience!

Sally and the rest of the Harvest Moon catering team did an outstanding job from the moment we met them at our tasting. They worked with us to create a menu that was unique to our tastes (no bland chicken), and the result was met with universal approval from our guests. They were also easy to work with in terms of logistical questions (rentals, the seating chart, etc.) and accommodated the dietary restrictions of our guests with no problem. We strongly recommend them!

We had such a great experience with Harvest Moon! Sally and Natalie were really responsive, helped us get a great menu that everyone could eat and worked with us on all our requests for changes. The day of staff was amazing, keeping everyone happy and really on point. Our waitress made sure to bring us our favorite drinks all night. The food was amazing, everyone loved it and we were able to accommodate everyone’s dietary needs, including severe allergies which was extremely important to us. They even packed us some desserts which we had been to busy dancing to eat so we got a great treat afterwards!

Professional, Personal and Perfect

My wife, Linda, and I had firm ideas about what we wanted for our September wedding, having been in the Hospitality Industry for too many years; every caterers nightmare. Harvest Moon was recommended by the venue we choose and we added them to our search, hoping to have the perfect Virginia Autumn Country Wedding and we couldn't have been more fortunate.
It took some patience on their part and open communication about what was hoped and what was practical but we were fulfilled in every way possible. Sally, our Event Guru, worked with us on each detail and their staff executed with professionalism and enthusiasm. One of our criteria for the evening was to have the servers be an integral part of the play, interacting with the guests and making their needs paramount.
It was flawless. Perhaps the most frequently heard comments since that night was that many of our friends never knew that the food and service could be so inviting, intimate and delicious.
I would recommend Harvest Moon to anyone looking their way and, as with most important things in life, don't be afraid to voice your thoughts and ideas, they are ready to listen!

Harvest Moon- amazing food, amazing service

Harvest Moon Catering met and exceeded our expectations. Natalie, who was our main point of contact and coordinator for our wedding, was absolutely wonderful. She was easy to communicate with, answered any and all of our questions, and has so much experience in event planning that she was able to take the lead on many aspects of our wedding that we weren’t even expecting. Natalie was so good at making the whole planning process as stress-free as possible. The food was incredible, from the cocktail hour to dinner to late-night, everything was delicious. All of our guests raved about the food. We were blown away by the presentation of our food, as well as the attention to detail. Harvest Moon even worked with us to develop signature cocktails that incorporated the cider from our venue and they were so good! The day-of staff was very professional and friendly. We were even assigned a staff member to just us (bride and groom) for the reception, and she was excellent and really made sure we had enough to eat and drink that night. We have so many great things to say about Harvest Moon. They are more than just a catering company. They truly care about their clients and invest their time and effort into making sure that your wedding is the best day.

Harvest Moon is the best. Creative, attention to detail, top notch professional staff, better than many DC based caterers. Cristina is wonderful to work with and unflappable, even in the face of Hurricane Florence! Every detail was perfect and they are so thoughtful - even brought us cocktails and Hors D'oeuvres while we were taking photos. Can't recommend highly enough!

Harvest Moon was one of the best choices we made for our wedding! They not only have THE BEST food but they helped us come up with a personalized menu to help reflect our travel theme and were so prompt and accommodating through the entire process. The whole staff was a blast and Natalie is literally the sweetest and most helpful person ever! Not only is she such an awesome friend to us but as our day of coordinator we literally COULD NOT have done the wedding without her. The entire wedding went smoothly without one hiccup and I didn’t think that was even possible. Exceeded all our expectations, thank you again Harvest Moon!

My first word to describe HM = YUM! Picking a caterer for our wedding was a tough choice -- it was one of the first vendors we had to choose. Getting married at King Family Vineyards required us to pick a caterer so once we picked the venue the caterer choice was next. HM staff is friendly, extremely knowledgeable, and their positive reputation in the C'ville area is no joke...not to mention that the food is SO GOOD! My husband wanted the food to be our deciding factor -- don't get me wrong that's a huge part...but what I came to learn through the planning process is that the caterer actually does a lot more of the logistics than we thought! We got the most bang for our buck -- amazing food AND great staff that made the night flow seamlessly. We worked with Shelby :) Pick HM for your wedding you will not be disappointed!

Sally with Harvest Moon is absolutely amazing! She helped me throughout our one year engagement choose and finalize the perfect menu for our guests for our wedding at Trump Winery. I changed my mind several times and she was always so patient and sweet. She was also so prompt to respond to my emails! On the wedding day, the food and beverages turned out amazing. Guests were raving about the food! Everything was presented beautifully and cooked perfect. Huge thank you to Sally and her team at Harvest Moon. I HIGHLY recommend them!

What a phenomenal experience! Every aspect from creating a menu, to venue set up, and including the execution of impeccable service before, during & after our daughter's wedding was spectacular!
Elegant hors d'oeuvres were passed on silver trays by smiling, friendly servers. The displays for cocktail hour were inviting and artful as well. Our family style dinner was abundantly & artfully presented on platters that were easy to pass. The salmon and chicken were moist & delectable! And there was even the creative arrangement of popcorn as a late night snack!
I truly trusted and appreciated their ability to make some "game-time" decisions. Having the utmost confidence in the team, I felt that I could be fully present in the moments and savor the joy of the wedding! The whole experience with Harvest Moon Catering was phenomenal!

Working with Harvest Moon Catering was a dream. They were up to speed on our venue as they've worked there previously and knew all the in's and out's of the venue particulars. They were quick to be responsive and listened when we outlined our preferences for food and general themes we'd like to incorporate into the wedding (I'm Cuban and my wife is Italian). Without missing a beat, HMC was above and beyond brilliant with their creative thought process, understanding of our budget and never steered us astray and through and through made our day become a reality. The tasting was a delight as well -- providing us a delicate but classy tasting in their headquarters and outlining all of the options in an easy and comprehensive way. Harvest Moon provided us a comprehensive package and they took care of every detail so we could sit back and enjoy the day. Over 2 dozen of our guests have already given us such postivie feedback of how the food tasted so amazing. If you're looking for a caterer that truly takes care of you in every sense of the word, then look no further -- Harvest Moon is amazing!

Harvest Moon did an amazing job catering our daughter's wedding in February at King Family Vineyards. From the initial inquiry, Sally was a delight to work with. She was incredibly responsive, organized, helpful, flexible, and very professional. We had a wonderful time with her throughout the entire planning process, including the tasting and the day of the event. What a gem!! The evening was seamless and the food was delicious. We received so many compliments on the food and the Harvest Moon staff. An exceptional guest experience for our family and friends - so very grateful!!!

I will start out by noting that we did not select Harvest Moon as our wedding caterer; we've opted for a different company to cater our October 2018 event due to budget constraints. However, I did want to share the extremely positive experience we had with HM staff (particularly Sally) as she learned about our event and developed a menu and cost quote for our consideration. Sally held multiple calls with me to learn about the wedding, our food preferences, families, and personalities, and was extremely professional, responsive, and considerate. She put together a proposed menu that was customized to our needs and wants, and really exceeded our expectations in terms of the level of customer service she provided. Based on this experience I'd recommend to any couple to include HM in their preliminary conversations with caterers because I'm sure that they can deliver a really well-catered and organized event.

Harvest Moon catered by daughter's wedding in mid-November 2017 and I was so happy we picked Harvest Moon! Mark and Shelby were extremely professional and we worked well together leading up to the wedding. The set up was gorgeous and the food was sublime - really! So many guests complimented me on the delicious food at both the cocktail hour and, of course, the dinner. All the staff members were kind and helpful. Thank you Harvest Moon!

This vendor felt like part of the family on our wedding day. Amanda was very involved in the process from day one and provided very helpful tips and insight. The staff set up the table decorations exactly like we wanted them, they were nothing but professional, and our "captain" always made sure we had food and drinks in hand. I think I was the rare bride who actually got to eat and drink at her wedding! My friends and family also were very impressed by the quality of food and service. Harvest Moon Catering was attentive to every single detail and it was a huge part of why the night was such a wonderful success.

Sally and her team are truly amazing at what they do. She complied with every single request and took care of us in both service and delicious food! Her team was so sweet, especially the captain the day of! The food was so amazing, and we got to hand curate it ourselves! They are so amenable, so wonderful. The food and service the day of was outstanding. If you are able to request a catering manager I would ask for Sally, she is top notch and a wonderful person to boot. Thanks Harvest Moon! Our experience with Harvest Moon was excellent from our first meeting through the wedding reception. We worked with Sally and she helped ensure everything from the event planning to execution was stress free for my wife and daughter! The weather took a turn for the worse and we had to adjust for cold and wet weather and still the execution was flawless...even with the elements her team smiled the entire way through and we received countless comments from guests on how great the food and service were (everything: appetizers, bar service, dinner, serving an evening snack – everything was amazing). We couldn’t be happier and will definitely look to Harvest Moon when our other daughter gets married too (but hopefully not too soon )!

Harvest Moon (and Sally especially) were so wonderful to work with for our wedding (catering and day-of coordination) in October. Their food was excellent, the staff was incredibly professional, and, most importantly, they literally thought of everything. Choosing Harvest Moon as our caterer was the best decision we made! The people who work there are amazing-it was so wonderful to be able to rely on them as we planned our daughter's wedding. I didn't have to worry about any detail since I knew I could count on them. Everyone from their catering coordinator, wedding coordinator, chef, bartenders and servers was outstanding and we could not have been more pleased. And the food was absolutely wonderful! I can't say enough about Amanda and the team at Harvest Moon. Amanda was an absolute pleasure to work with, from our first meeting at the tasting. The chefs were incredibly flexible, working with me to create a half-vegan/half-non menu that could make everyone happy. The servers were not just professional, but pleasant and kind. And the bartenders! What a blast! Everything was so well-organized. They worked well with my other vendors, and they kept any problems far away from me. Now I just have to figure out how to get them to cater an event for just two... :)

Harvest Moon Catering was by far one of the best choices we made for our wedding. Our venue required us to have a caterer that shouldered much of the day of burden: everything from setting up tables, bars and appetizer stations, to break down at the end of the night. Needless to say, we really needed our caterer to be the best and HMC is the BEST. From day one, Sally was organized, efficient and super responsive. I never felt like she was missing a single detail through our communication. My parents and in laws were able to participate in our tasting which they absolutely raved about. It was such a fun experience to share leading up to the big day. All the prep work was completely seamless and I was left worry-free on the day of. Shelby, our day-of catering lead, was an absolute rockstar. She was so kind and effective and I never felt like I needed to be responsible for problem solving on my wedding day. She was prepared to right any wrong immediately and then report back to me when it was completed. As a self-proclaimed control freak, that set me at ease. I trusted her with everything and I was not disappointed. Most importantly, the food was delicious. Everything was completely as described, hot, and abundant. My guests raved about the food and never had empty glasses as they danced the night away. Even staff members left lasting impressions on me and my guests. Bartenders and servers were genuine, kind and gave service to the most premium level. I really felt like I got everything and more with Harvest Moon.

Harvest Moon is the pinnacle of catering services in the Charlottesville area! Their high level of detail planning and quality of food is unmatched by any other company. Sally was our catering manager and was absolutely fantastic! Sally was with us every step of the way in the planning process. She was extremely responsive, professional, and helpful. We felt so comfortable with Sally and the rest of the Harvest Moon staff. We even got to meet the Executive Chef during our pre-wedding tasting. Since Catering is the main vendor on wedding day, we wanted to make sure we picked the best company in the area. Harvest Moon and Sally executed beautifully the day of! Everything went so smoothly. The food presentation on the plate was gorgeous and tasted delicious. Our guests commented how good the food was. Highly recommend using Harvest Moon for weddings or other events. You will not be disappointed! Due to Harvest Moon's great reputation, be sure to book as far in advanced as possible. Harvest Moon deserves five stars and MORE for how amazing they were with my wedding! They provided catering that was out.of.this.world. Seriously, we were so impressed with their food at the tasting, and then it was just as delicious at the wedding, when they were feeding 170 guests! The staff took SUCH good care of our guests - making sure water was on the table at all times, delivering cupcakes to my grandparents so they wouldn't have to walk to the dessert table, heating up food for my now-husband and me since we weren't able to eat when it was first brought to us, and MORE. They provided stellar service throughout the entire wedding. In addition to providing catering for cocktail hour and dinner reception, Harvest Moon provided us with a day-of wedding coordinator. I HIGHLY recommend using this service through HM! Having a coordinator who was so connected with the caterer was a dream, and it made our entire wedding day flow smoothly.

I cannot say enough good things about Harvest Moon. They were organized and communicative throughout the whole wedding planning process. They were flexible and patient as we changed our mind about an appetizer here or the room layout there. Their food is simply THE BEST. They provided all of the rentals we needed - chairs, tables, linens, dishes, etc. They do weddings so often that they just know what to do, and they do it well! We knew we wanted to work with them above all other caterers, and they still exceeded our expectations!!

Harvest Moon catered our daughter's wedding this weekend and they were awesome! From our very first contact, they were responsive and professional. Their initial tasting was incredible - and free. Their follow up was prompt and helpful. Shelby was the 'day-of' wedding coordinator and she started several weeks before the wedding. On the day of the wedding Shelby did an amazing job of orchestrating the many people involved and effectively, politely, professionally ran the show. Our guests raved about the food, the culinary presentation and overall service were excellent and the whole event was just perfect!

Harvest Moon was incredible to work with, they were recommended to us by everyone we knew in the industry and the area and they did not disappoint. I would 100% recommend them to anyone if you want to ensure your day goes smoothly, that you have people that care working with you, and if you want amazing food that your guests will rave about.

We worked with Kelly Mahanes who was the best, from beginning creating a custom Latin inspired meal, and easily adjusted it down the road when our diets had changed several months later. Her team on the day of truly went above and beyond, they were so invested in making sure everything went smoothly despite the chance of rain and the numerous different options and decisions and added time that would come that. We were assigned a specific team member on the day of, Shelby, who was amazing! She made sure we have food and drinks at all times, she gave me her apron to wipe of the rain we got caught in before the receptions, she stood by my husband with a plate so he could enjoy all the delicious food and mingle at the same time. Our guests also talked about how great the bartenders were, one of the even found one of our groomsmen on the dance floor at last call to personally deliver him one of the signature drinks he had created during the night. They truly went above and beyond in every way and we couldn't be happier we used them, and would use them again in a heartbeat!

Harvest Moon was so great to work with. The food is outstanding and the quality of the people is top notch. We worked with Sally Juliano, who was knowledgeable not only about the catering services but everything else wedding-related in the CVille area. She was always responsive to our questions, proactive about potential glitches and committed to making sure everything was just the way we wanted it to be. Harvest Moon is not inexpensive but they are well worth it in my view.

Harvest Moon is the most fantastic catering service! We used them for our wedding this past October and are overjoyed. By all means, I would suggest a tasting session be held.
A real plus that we experienced on the wedding day was the Harvest Moon employee that was assigned to the bride and her attendants; she was so very accommodating and had access to all needed items, such as safety pins, tooth brushes, etc. This individual even delivered Carpe Donuts to our reception table. What a thoughtful gesture! After the wedding, we continue to hear compliments about how accommodating the servers were to our guests--a real plus!

Cristina and the staff at Harvest Moon are truly amazing to work with. From the day we went for our menu tasting we knew we had chosen the right caterers for our daughters wedding. Cristina and the staff who worked the wedding and day after brunch were on top of their game, professional and a joy to work with. The place settings were all beautifully made, and the food was superb - many wedding guests told us wedding food *shouldn't* taste so good! The Harvest Moon team went above and beyond at our wedding. They were everywhere and doing everything and anything that needed to be done, including preparing food which was out of this world delicious. We asked them to do our rehearsal dinner too, and it was amazing. They did a Japanese cuisine station, a Mexican food station, and an Indian food station. Everyone was blown away by the authenticity of their Indian food. Harvest Moon can do anything you can dream of. Oh and because we asked, they used all COMPOSTABLE serving ware for our rehearsal & appetizers. They also used locally sourced meats, cheeses, and vegetables whenever humanly possible and their wine list was extensive and well curated. They were our biggest budget item, but you get more than you think you're paying for when the wedding day happens. They also worked with us to reduce the cost and had some wonderfully creative suggestions for doing so. We honestly could not have pulled of our wedding without Harvest Moon's amazing staff. Every single one of them was awesome and they became our best friends and helpers for the days of the rehearsal & wedding.

I couldn't be happier with our experience with Harvest Moon for our wedding at King Family Vineyards. Prior to the wedding, our correspondent Kelly went above and beyond to help us plan our menu, table arrangements, dance floor space, etc. She was very responsive and worked extremely well with our wedding planner, florist, and venue during our walk-through and tasting. At the wedding itself, the food was delicious (we have received SO many compliments), and the service was amazing. We had a VIP attendant from Harvest Moon who made sure we actually got to eat and drink at our own wedding, and made sure we had everything we needed in general. She even packed up leftovers for us at the end of the night to enjoy after the wedding. Not to mention, the price for all of this ended up being extremely reasonable for the value. I highly recommend Harvest Moon to anyone getting married in the Charlottesville area!

Kelly and her staff at Harvest Moon were on point! Very professional and super organized, you can tell they do A LOT of weddings. We hired them per the contract with our venue. Harvest Moon was one of nine options we had to choose from for our caterers. I would say they were on the higher end, but at the end of the day, worth every penny we paid. From the moment we contacted them we always received prompt replies, updates and very detailed information about our menu, venue, day of operations, etc. Kelly personally oversaw all aspects of our event, and was very thorough during the walk through prior to the wedding, which made my wife feel really good about how smoothly things would run with the bar and food.

Our guests enjoyed the food very much, we had a lot of compliments. Harvest Moon provided us with many good options at the tasting, and really tailored the food to our tastes and preferences. I think the food fit the occasion and feel of the wedding we were going for.

We only had two setbacks with Harvest Moon. Several of our guests wished they had left the buffet out longer, and the bar tenders had opened a few too many of the same bottles of wine and misplaced some corks. We lost quite a few bottles of wine of as result. Outside of those two things, they were flawless!

We highly recommend Harvest Moon and would hire them again in a heartbeat!

Working with Harvest Moon has been easy and wonderful the whole way. It was a breeze to set up the tasting, which was fabulous, and they were so open to what my husband and I wanted and envisioned serving our guests at our wedding. We ended up working with Cristina, who is down to earth, matter-of-fact,extremely knowledgable and experienced, and tells you like it is! I always appreciated her candor and suggestions, and she was always willing to work with us with our changes and preferences. We had our walk-thru on the morning of a big snow in Charlottesville (we live 2.5 hours away), and as it was the only time that my fiancé and I could schedule, she still was able to meet with us at Trump. Her ideas and suggestions were always top-notch and classy, and she was excellent at helping me plan and realize the wedding of my dreams. On the day of, everything ran without a hitch (or if there were any problems, we were totally unaware!). I had a friend doing some decorating for me, and Cristina was professional and easygoing and helpful throughout. The food was AMAZING, everyone raved about the sliders, the brie, the quesadillas--we wanted stations for our cocktail hour and she made that happen. People are still raving about the cheese plate, too! All servers, bartenders and staff were truly wonderful, helpful, professional, friendly and kind. Our dinner and service were impeccable and everyone loved all of our food. The setup of our room was GORGEOUS, so glad Cristina recommended a special napkin color for us, and her other recommendations for rentals was spot-on! Many of these details helped make our day so very special. I HIGHLY recommend Harvest Moon to anyone planning a wedding in Charlottesville. Sally at Harvest Moon Catering was amazing. Her professionalism, responsiveness, thoughtfulness, and flexibility went above and beyond what we expected from any wedding vendor. Her ability to listen to us, focus on every little detail, and pull off an amazing meal flawlessly was incredibly impressive. Harvest Moon Catering will give you excellent food, drinks, and service but on top of that and despite having done many weddings, Sally was genuinely happy for us on our wedding day and made us feel so special and well taken care of. From first meeting Sally and the Harvest Moon Catering staff I knew we would be in great, capable hands, and they delivered on that plus more.

Harvest Moon is the best. They were wonderful to work with, accommodated all our ideas and were patient while we were deciding about things. They worked with us on budget. And, my guests all raved about how delicious the food was and how amazing the service was.

Harvest Moon was FANTASTIC! They were absolutely key in making our wedding a success. They were very quick to respond with answers to all of my questions, and were a delight to work with through out the entire process. The food was absolutely amazing and we were so happy with the entire team and the service provided. We received numerous compliments on the food and I would highly recommend them to other couples in the area!

Harvest Moon nailed it! We chose a four course wine dinner as just one part of our wedding. Many moving parts and lots of detail filled the day and the staff at HM catering never faltered. Guests were blown away by both service and food. For the dinner menu, we wanted items not normally requested. We went with duck and snapper options for the entree and the chef delivered a stunning presentation perfectly cooked! The team, especially Cristina, worked closely with us over many months to ensure the event was executed seamlessly and it absolutely was! We cannot be more thankful for their amazing work!

Still reveling in the magnificent evening Harvest Moon, Kim Moody Design and Keswick Vineyards put together on Saturday. Since you know we are into sports metaphors.......a real "hat trick" I am not one to “gush” over mediocre affairs just to make people feel good. Please be assured that your people went so far and above the call of duty it was amazing. The food being served on time and in a professional and effortless manner is something I expected but you exceeded expectations in so many small but meaningful ways..........monitoring the weather like meteorologists at the onset of a huge storm and adding extra personnel to assure perfection was simply more than I could have expected. Add to that when guests were raving over a certain cheese that a staff did not know she quickly excused herself, found the name and type of cheese and reported back. She did this without being asked and greatly impressed a former First Lady of Virginia who was with a recently retired executive from Dominion Power…….not easy people to impress given they have seen a few deluxe events in their days. In fact, Bill, indicated he was not sure he had ever been to a better executed wedding event....right down to every last detail. Later in the evening when I let one of your people know the coffee pot had just run dry she quickly refilled the pot and then came through the tent looking for me so that she could let me know there was fresh coffee. I could go on and on it was so amazing. I could not think of one item that could have been better, and the way you all worked with Keswick and Kim Moody Design - a trifecta - if ever there was one just the topping to a fabulous wedding for my son and now daughter-in –law, Blake and Stephanie. Given the weather Saturday night I am even convinced you have connections with Mother Nature. Many thanks for all you did to make the day so magical. You make for a marvelous team that I would highly recommend to anyone.

When you think caterers, you think just food. No, your caterers are your heart and soul of your wedding day. Because they do SO MUCH MORE than you ever realize. and Harvest Moon brings their A-TEAM's A-GAME.

Even a few days after the wedding, I'm STILL getting compliments on the food at my wedding. If you thought grandma did Thanksgiving dinner right, you haven't been to Harvest Moon's Thanksgiving dinner. But they also bring SO MUCH MORE than great food. I come from a food service and catering background and so I know how grueling the job can be. EVERY SINGLE person was KIND, PROFESSIONAL, and ACCOMMODATING. Harvest moon sets the bride up with a personal liaison, that will get you whatever you need and they are there to make sure that you get fed and you don't have to worry about anything (because remember to eat on your wedding day. and I ATE). If you are blessed to be taken care of by Pat, you're going to want to take her home with you. JUST SAYING.

The table set ups were perfect, but the bar set ups surpassed any expectation and imagination. When I told HM that Old Fashioneds were our signature drink, I was just expecting some standard old fashioned (because everyone has their own preference of an old fashioned). My mistake - "Standard" is not in HM's repertoire. The first old fashioned that was bought to me was EXACTLY how I LOVE IT. Then when I actually watched them make the next one, I was just blown away. They did sugar cubes and ALL.

They were so accomodating when we brought in Filipino food AND a full pig for carving!! Poor Kelly thought I was insane, but there is no task that they cannot conquer!

You cannot go wrong with Harvest Moon! I'd write so much more good things about them, but apparently there is a character limit for reviews.

Harvest moon was the best cater we could ever ask for. The service & attention to every detail was well taken care of by a highly qualified and dedicated team. The food was outstanding & raved over as the best wedding food our guests have ever enjoyed. They generously took the time to listen to every detail & make our special requests happen. I could not think of a better team & business to recommend for anyone's special day.

I can't say enough amazing things about Harvest Moon! Every single person we interacted with at Harvest Moon was kind, professional, and helpful. They designed a delicious menu for our wedding that aligned with our tastes and preferences - our guests said it was the best wedding food they'd ever had! The service was incredible as well - they helped us with all of our rentals, decorations, and took amazing care of us throughout the evening. I would use Harvest Moon again in a heartbeat for another event!

We were very pleased with the team from Harvest Moon. Kelly was great to work with on planning and menu development, specification of rentals, and coordination overall. Set up went very smoothly on the day of the wedding - it's clear the staff was experienced and very professional. Dinner service went smoothly, with attentive and efficient wait staff. The result was a beautiful room, a wonderful meal and very happy guests.

Harvest Moon was so fantastic to work with! Everything we tried at the tasting was delicious and unique and they were really helpful in determining a menu that worked with our vision and budget. They were always so organized and worked so well with our planner to take care of everything needed. Sally worked with us on the day of our wedding and was the perfect point person. She made sure my husband and I were always taken care of as well as our family and entire bridal party. I would highly recommend them for any future event!

Harvest Moon was the best investment we made at our wedding. The food the provided was delicious, the service was impeccable and they even provided us with a VIP server to personally serve us. We got to eat and drink at our own wedding because of our server! They made our day absolutely perfect and I couldn't imagine having a different caterer for our wedding.

We were so grateful to have Harvest Moon cater our wedding! The entire staff went above and beyond their job description to make sure our day was absolutely perfect. Let's not forget the food! The whole team at harvest Moon was great. They took care of the food, linens, dinnerware and any other rentals we needed. They were so much more than a catering company. I was in constant contact leading up to the big day and everything was amazing. I couldn't imagine a better set up or dinner. I had so many guests make sure to tell me how great the food was. They really did a great job making our wedding exactly what we wanted it to be!

Harvest Moon did an amazing job at our event. Once I gave them my vision, they just ran with it. We loved our tasting menu and didn't change a thing. We knew our guests would love it too. I was also impressed with the service. We had Chris as our personal server. At one point, I was hiding behind a building and he still found me to make sure I didn't need a drink. I was shocked! Although I started off with one rep on my account and ended with another, both were lovely to work with and I barely noticed a change in reps. Everything just went so smoothly and the food was delicious. They made me feel like a princess. :-)

We worked with Kelly who did an amazing job orgestrating our catering needs. We supplied our own alcohol, which gave us some unique personalized choices. They made an amazing oyster bar ice sculpture. All around - A+
