    Before I started shopping for an engagement ring for my fiance, I did a good amount of research to help me feel confident that I was actually getting what I paid for. I was immediately overwhelmed with a feeling of despair when I stopped into multiple big name jewelry shops and even a privately-owned jewelry shop, only to discover that what I was being told was very inconsistent with the research I had conducted. It was then that I decided to start shopping "long distance".

    I live in Colorado, but i decided to see if my experience would be better with Hartley Jewelers in Olympia, Washington (the town where my parents live). I cannot express how happy I am that I did! It was actually more comforting to deal with Hartley Jewelers over a distance of hundreds of miles than it was to shop locally. (You wouldn't have believed the stuff that some of the other jewelers said to me that was just plainly not true.) If you are looking for a jeweler that you will be able to trust, I highly, highly recommend Hartley Jewelers. The staff at Hartley Jewelers helped me find the perfect ring, and they even inspected and returned diamonds to their vendors that did not meet their standards. The prices were more than fair and everyone treated me like I was their number one customer. A huge thank you to Hartley Jewelers!

    I liked them so much that my fiance and I will be buying our wedding bands from them, too!!

    Oh My Gosh! Where do I start?! From the moment we walked in with our IDEA for matching wedding rings to the day we walked out with them on our fingers...it was a dream come true. The staff at Hartley's were excellent to work with. Creative, flexible, professional, and were not afraid to show their emotion and joy for us as our excitement for the rings and their place in our wedding overflowed in their store! Have worked with them in the past on several jewelry projects and each time I have been extremely pleased. I have referred friends and family members as well, and they have been totally satisfied and impressed with the staff and workmanship. They will have my return business and gratitude for years to come!

    A wonderful experience from beginning to end! Their attentiveness to all aspects of the process- design, stone selection, and actual making of the ring -was exceptional.     Event? We had my wedding ring resized...the estimate you gave us (and the final price) was far less than estimates we were able to get here locally (Southern Oregon). You have made custom pieces for us in the past (going back to your before-you-had-the-store-days), and we have always admired your work, and appreciated your prices.

    I brought in two projects to be worked on: one silver ring to be mended, and to have my wedding band and engagement ring soldered together/reset. The team at Hartley Jewelers was great; I enjoyed the intimate work environment--you can tell they all love what they do and take their jobs very seriously. The rings turned out beautifully, and the turn around time was very quick.

    The employee from Hartley Jewelers who took my ring in to be sized was very helpful and professional. She gave me ring care tips when I was not expecting them. She was honest about my ring's condition and told me that I should watch for the loosening of the stones. When I picked up my finished ring, she made sure I knew about their free services. With me probably being a younger client of her's, I appreciated that she treated me with respect and that she shared her knowledge with me. I am glad that Hartley Jewelers was recommended to me.

    For insurance purposes I needed to have my engagement ring appraised and did not know where to go as I am new to the South Sound area. I was referred to Hartley by a jewelry store in the mall. From the moment I walked in and spoke to Craig to a week later when I picked up my appraisal the entire transaction was great! The professionalism of everyone at the store, the genuine smile and appreciation of my business was a wonderful surprise!
    Today when I took the appraisal to Nationwide, I told my agent to refer any of her customers to Hartley if they needed a local jewelry store!

    I have had the pleasure of working with Hartley Jewelers on both a personal and business level. Their staff continually takes the extra step to make sure everything is perfect from custom designing jewelry to jewelry repairs. They are my jeweler of choice every time.

    My husband brought my engagement ring to Hartley just a few weeks before our wedding to get afixed to the wedding band (or so I thought) hartley worked with my Husband to "remodle" my original engagment ring into a masterpiece that he surprised me with during the ring ceremony at our wedding! Hartley did CUSTOM work creating a halo to put around my original ring- the outcome is gorgeous and this ring became the most memorable part of my wedding ceremony! The best part was how fantastic they were in working with my husband, they worked around our budget, in a very short period of time, and kept it a surprise for me :-) I reccommed Hartley to every friend that I have any any stranger who asks me about my ring (which happens A LOT!) I've never visited another jewelry store that provided the trust, reassurance, strong ethics, and unparalleled customer-service like Hartley does! Thank you for making my dream ring a reality!

    The upgraded diamond in my wedding band is just beautiful. Rick provided several diamonds for my review and I was able to choose the one that makes my ring look stunning. My ring was even done in half the time that was originally quoted. Thanks so much.

    These projects were not for any specific event. There was no specific date deadline either. The job was to create rings using loose stones received as an inheritance. The rings are beautiful. The staff was incredibly patient and thorough during the planning process. They took me step by step through it, explaining everything along the way. They offered suggestions when I needed them and explained the pros and cons of each choice I had to make. I believe that these rings took longer from start to finish than usual, partly because of my inexperience and indecision, and partly because of the timing (Thanksgiving, Christmas, the flu, et. etc.) The Hartley staff was very understanding. I am very happy with the results and would recommend Hartley's to my friends who want to have similar work done.
