They SAVED our wedding day!

BEAUTIFUL wedding reception venue!! 3 days before our wedding day, our original reception venue fell through. We were in a real pickle. Thankfully, we had visited Leu Gardens for a catering tasting a few weeks before. By some miracle, they were available for our wedding day and made it all happen. They couldn’t have been any kinder and understanding of our unfortunate situation. They did everything in their power to make everything come together. And let me tell you our wedding reception was PERFECT! The space was beautiful, the staff was so kind, & it really just all came together so nicely. Although it was a crazy 3 days before the wedding, I am SO grateful we ended up at Leu Gardens.

Flowers and Dinosaurs!

Not only was the event staff incredibly helpful ahead of time, but also on the day of. The gardens are open to the public, yet our ceremony remained intimate and free of bystanders. As a bonus, we got to take wedding pictures with dinosaurs!

The Wedding Venue of Our Dreams

We held our wedding ceremony at Harry P. Leu Gardens, and we loved it so much that we wish we could get married there all over again! Our event coordinator assistant, Kandace, was an absolute pleasure to work with; she was always quick to respond to any questions, and she kept detailed track of any changes or specific needs we had for our ceremony. She was so professional, communicative, and efficient, which put our minds at ease while planning a wedding during a global pandemic!

Working with Harry P. Leu Gardens was absolutely perfect!! Jonathan made the entire rental process easy & was so incredibly helpful!! He was readily available for my million questions, offered guidance and support when I was unsure about the "wedding process". Jonathan and the whole Leu Gardens team is AMAZING!!
Jonathan answered every question, took the time to do the walk through with us his self.
Got back to me with impeccable timing, understood our vision and made our wedding day the BEST! This place is absolutely beautiful and I couldn't be any happier choosing them for our day.

We got married in Leu Gardens this month and it was wonderful. I notice a lot of reviews mention lack of communication, which mine would as well if not for a change in contact/employee just a few weeks ago. If the reviews mentioning lack of communication worry you, please know I have had a much better experience with Leu Gardens since Jonathan took over! He is very quick to respond to emails and was very accomodating. Our ceremony site was destroyed by Irma and he was flexible in helping us find the perfect site for us and it made our day perfect!

We had our wedding reception at Leu Gardens on May 14th from 6-10pm. I would highly recommend this wedding venue. The reception could not have been any more perfect! As long as you have a great team of vendors that are familiar with the venue, your night will run smoothly. I booked the venue a year out and had no issues. Since the gardens would already be closed by the time our reception started, the staff allowed us to come in April and take “engagement” pictures around the gardens free of charge, which was wonderful. I highly recommend taking pics in the gardens at some point if you have a night reception like us because the gardens are just SO beautiful and the pics turn out great! If you do just book an evening reception, I would suggest taking most of your pictures offsite/near your ceremony. We figured we could take some around the back of the building by the lake but there was a ton of mosquitos, so definitely avoid that area (especially if your dress has tulle because they will get caught in your dress!) You can get some pretty ones inside by the big window though for the same lakeside effect. Overall, we had a fantastic wedding reception. The space was transformed beautifully with the help of our fantastic vendors (Soundwave, Puff n Stuff, OW&PR, Letz Dance on It, Country Club Flower Shop) and it was just a beautiful, fun night!

Leu Gardens is beautiful by itself, but the way the staff takes care of it, makes it even more special. We got married at the Courtyard Gazebo and it was my favorite place since I've visited the gardens a while ago. Debbie is amazingly kind, patient and accommodating, I can't express in words how grateful I am with all the support and understanding through the whole ceremony planning process. We changed the time, the amount of guests, and other things and she understood it well and assured me that everything was fine. A beautiful place managed by wonderful staff! I definitely recommend Leu Gardens!

I had my wedding ceremony at the Rose Garden in Harry P. Leu Garden and it was BEAUTIFUL!! My wedding was in December so all the roses were blooming and the weather was perfect. The chairs they provided were clean and comfortable for the guests. The Bride's room was a bit small to get everyone ready so I rented a room in the main building for a little extra. I would recommend the Rose Garden to everyone!!

This is my favorite place in Orlando. Gorgeous settings and wonderful people. We had such a lovely experience and I highly recommend them! The whole property feels like a new world and it was great for our photos.

I used Leu Gardens for my bridal shower and it was just amazing. Getting information and setting up my date was such a breeze and really reasonably priced. The Orchid Room was beautiful with tons of natural light pouring in. Everyone that attended has called me to tell me how amazing and beautiful it was. After planning a stressful wedding at another venue, thank you so much Leu Gardens for making my bridal shower so easy and fun!

Beautiful venue. Would recommend this location for anyone looking to have a garden wedding. My only suggestion is that the venue offer a golf cart ride to the bride or perhaps elderly guests or members of the wedding party. It's a long walk back to the South Woods Gazebo in heels on a warm day.

Leu Gardens is not only beautiful, but incredibly reasonably priced for a wedding venue. I was married in the Rose Garden, and the ceremony -- and the pictures -- were beautiful. The staff set up everything exactly as requested, and was very accomodating in letting us in to take pictures before the 4 pm ceremony.

We didn't have our reception there -- just the ceremony. Everything was perfect -- even the weather -- and I highly recommend this location.

This gardens is awesome. The Floral Clock is beautiful. The flowers were replanted and everything was perfect. The flowers change throughout the seasons so there's always different colors. The reception room was big enough. The staff was so friendly and the hospitality was great. After getting married there we were given a membership packet with free guess tickets and movie nights. I would highly recommend this venue. Harry P. Leu Gardens is breath taking.

beautiful reception in camellia room. it looked amazing and having the gardens for photos was even better! it was a hot august wedding but having the guests inside made it much easier. the room and staff were helpful and amazing, i loved getting married here and highly recommend it! the lake view is so nice and the gardens are awesome for photos! the room was the perfect size as well and balcony was so big and nice for the guests to wait until the room was opened for the reception. no complaints about Leu Gardens, made my fairy tale wedding perfect!

This was the most beautiful backdrop for our special day! The people here were so welcoming and kind and were willing to work with us and make it just how we wanted it. I have no complaints and am just so pleased with the photos from this venue.

THe venue and the gardens are stunning, we had the opportunity to look round a few days before the wedding day. On the day itself it was raining, as a UK bride I was used to it, but really wasn't looking forward to getting the dress wet. On arrival I was told that we could have the ceremony inside, which turned out to be just as beautiful as having it outside. The staff were friendly and helpful.

Leu Gardens is beautiful and it was superbly so on our wedding day. The staff is super friendly and they were very accomodating. I understand why people reserve this location a year in advance!! The pictures came out beautifully and the guest enjoyed the scenery.

We held our ceremony here, but not our reception (which we held at my parent's home). For the price compared to other areas around town that host outdoor weddings, we felt this was reasonable. Especially since they provide chairs here, which other outdoor venues did not. Leu Gardens also gives you a choice of 4 wedding spots within the park, provides a Bride's and a Groom's separate dressing room, gives you a separate rehearsal day, and to top it all off the bride and groom get a year's membership to the Gardens. We also brought in our own musicians, which they accommodated nicely. Overall was a great experience!

My wedding on May, 09, 2010 went off without a hitch in part because the staff at the Leu Gardens was fantastic! They were professional and informative and answered all of my questions each time I called. On the day of they aided some of our elderly guests in getting to the wedding site and followed our set up requests to the letter. I would highly recommend Leu Gardens as a place to have both your ceremony and reception. The Gardens are beautiful and we didn't end up spending a lot of money on ceremony decoration simply because it was already beautiful!!!

Leu Garden's was the perfect place for my wedding, they were very accommodating. On there website it states rehearsal is only Mon- Thurs. I explained to them we could not have our rehearsal on the says and they allowed us to come in on St. at no cost to us. Everything was done perfectly.

I loved the location. The site was so beautiful all on it's own. No decorations needed. It was so private, I felt it I was in my own little garden getting married. The staff answered all my questions and was very nice on the day of our wedding.

If you are looking for a beautiful ceremony and reception area you should pick Harry Leu Gardens. We were so pleased with the service and the way they handled our wedding. They were very helpful til the minute we left the site.. I would tell anyone to use there services inside and out.

We had our ceremony in the Rose Garden. It truly felt magical. We didn't order any flowers to decorate, because the natural surroundings were more beautiful than anyone could have designed. Our reception was in the Camelia Room. Very elegant.

Superior location if you want an outdoor event. I was so pleased with the location and with Florida Wedding Packages for handling everything for me. I would highly recommend them both. The whole process from the ceremony through the recption was truly as I had hoped it would be and at a location that depicts Florida's true beauty.

It was an absolutely beautiful venue. Everything was included, except the food of course, but their options were a perfect variety of options for us. Having the flexibility in location within the gardens was a nice touch.

Breathtaking Venue

My husband and I renewed our vows at the Trellis in Leu Gardens. The area was absolutely beautiful and romantic. Kandace was a pleasure to deal with and she responded to all of my emails almost instantaneously. My only concern was the long walk to and from the Trellis in heels. This was very difficult for myself and the other ladies in heels. I did wish they allowed us on the golf carts. Other than that everything went smoothly.

Very beautiful, inside and outside

Harry P. Leu Gardens is a nice venue to get married at if you have a smaller budget! They are very reasonable in price which helps make them attractive, along with obviously the garden. My husband and I originally were going to get married outside in the rose garden but we decided to move it indoors due to the weather, and the venue was so easy to work with at the last minute like that. They weren't THE BEST at responding to emails and calls and I usually had to reach out consecutive days, but it was nothing too bad. Kandace is so sweet, and so is Lyn! They accommodated all of our requests and we never had a problem with them.

Beautiful Venue

Leu Gardens is idyllic for an outdoor wedding. We had our ceremony in the Rose Garden and it was absolutely gorgeous. The bride/groom rooms were very convenient. Our reception was in the Camellia Room, and it was more than accommodating of our large group. The screened porch was a wonderful included bonus, as well. Great value for the price.

Awesome Venue

Wonderful venue. Once the decorations were up and the lighting was on, the room looked magical. It was easy to work with them. The fee includes the table and chairs. Plus, you can take pictures in the gardens, which are amazing.

Beautiful and affordable

Let me begin by praising Jonathan Rodriguez, the events coordinator, as he was always responsive when I needed it and was very well organized. Before I was even engaged I knew that I wanted to get married at Leu Gardens, and was pleasantly surprised to find the venue was incredibly affordable for an Orlando wedding venue. The rose garden was stunning, even without the roses in full bloom on our wedding day. One of the biggest values to this location is the inclusion of chairs and setup in the price, which can save you a great deal of money and hassle. Though their policies are a bit strict, as long as you stay within their requirements there is no issue. Even with the threat of rain our day went off without a hitch, except for the one where I was hitched to my husband! ;) I highly recommend Leu Gardens as the location for your wedding ceremony and reception!

GREAT venue, and the staff were very helpful about accommodating meeting with us (we were booking from Boston, making the long-distance a factor in the walk-through and the plans). The team the day of (Jonathan, Lisa, Cody, etc) could not have been better. We had a last minute change - originally were going to be married under the tree on the Leu House Lawn, but it was SO humid and the weather was spotty (4 PM during summer = thunderstorm) so we decided the day before to move it inside to the main Leu Gardens building. Incidentally, that's a great rain plan. We were a bit rushed, as we couldn't get into the space until 2:30 PM and the hair & makeup took 2 hours. So we did hair at the hotel and makeup at the venue.

Had some issues getting in touch with people during the planning process (which ramped anxiety being far away), but that was a blip in planning, overall excellent. Once I had them on the wire, everything went great. Note: email, do not call. Call is not as easy to get response. They are clearly very much in demand and very busy, email was just easier. Once I learned that, we were good to go.

That said, the staff couldn't have been more helpful, the venue is gorgeous and the price is off the charts reasonable. My guests know in Boston the venue would have been (easily) 4-5 times as much. Everyone was really blown away by the space and we had tons of photos posted to social media. Gorgeous all around! Thank you, Leu Gardens!

We had our wedding ceremony at 'The Lawn' in Leu Gardens. Everything turned our quite nice and it was the perfect place not only for the value, but also for what I was looking for in terms of beauty, feel and atmosphere. The only thing I would have liked was having the 'feel' that Leu Gardens wanted and would do everything for the Bride/Wedding party on the day of the wedding. It was a very hot day and the distance from the Bridal Suite to the ceremony site was a little ways away and when I went to ask them a couple of days before if someone could give me a little lift with their golf carts on the day of the wedding, there was no hesitation in quickly replying 'no'. I didn't like that the idea was not even entertained.
Besides that, the place was nice and served its purpose.

This is a beautiful place to have a reception. The ONLY complaint is that the bridal room was warm! If yu plan on getting married here, bring a small fan.

Absolutely beautiful venue! Except for the short time availabe for presence at the venue on the wedding day, this is the perfect wedding ceremony site if you are looking for an outdoor garden venue.

When I saw the Leu Gardens I knew our wedding would take place there. The ceremony in the Rose garden was hot but beautiful. The reception was perfect. They say they can fit 180 in the camelia room but I think that'd be a pretty tight squeeze. Same for the Rose garden. We had about 100 guests so we definitely did not have that problem. The only thing I wish could be different would be time... I would have loved for my reception to be longer. 4 hours goes by far too quickly. It also would have been nice to start my ceremony a bit later since it was so hot. Other than that it was perfect. I can't imagine a better place for my wedding to have taken place. It's also a great value. I am from Georgia and had my wedding in Orlando because most of our families were going to have to travel anyway. We wanted to have the wedding someplace where there was plenty for everyone to do. I checked on some locations in Georgia, such as botanical gardens and the Leu gardens were hands down the least expensive and equally if not more beautiful.

If you want your wedding there start planning early. They book up fast. Especially if you want a Saturday evening spot. We ended up having ours on a Sunday. Good luck.

Leu Gardens is one of the most beautiful places to have your wedding. Personally, I wanted rose garden theme. In having our wedding there, we did not have to do much for decor as the grounds (Rose Garden in particular) is surrounded with tons of beautiful roses. As many of our guests were coming from out of state, we did not want them to drive all over the place and risk the chance of getting lost. Being able to have both ceremony and reception in one location was also important. Our elderly guests were given a ride to the area where the ceremony took place which was really nice. Leu Gardens does have a number of restrictions, but it was worth it in the end. All in all, the staff was pretty nice for the most part.

Leu Gardens is a great venue. They will turn off the fountain in the rose garden so guests can actually hear the ceremony, and they have rooms on site for you to get ready. You only get the time scheduled, 2 hours for ceremony and 4 for reception, because they book back-to-back, but it was perfect for our morning wedding.

Everyone that attended our wedding raved about the gardens. It is one of the most gorgeous botanical gardens I have ever seen. It will make any wedding day fabulous. They have different locations around the gardens to choose from, also based on the size and amount of guests attending. They have a contingency plan in case of rain. They meet with you and tell you exactly how everything will be the day of. You are allowed to have a rehearsal there. The plus of booking is you get free entrance for the year leading up to your wedding. I never once had to pay and neither did my bridal party. You do have to book a year in advance. They are strict on time constraints so plan accordingly if you don't want to be surprised when at 2:45 they expect you to get out, so that clean-up can be completed by 4:00. They have two weddings a day at the gardens and do not allow you to throw petals, which didn't bother me.

I hafd my ceremony at the rose garden and it was beautiful. It was a hot day but well worth it. The reception was in the Orchid room. I felt the reception was too short. I would have liked it to be longer.

Very beautiful place for a wedding. There are a few things they won't allow due to the fact that its a city park. (flowers, rice, or sparklers) It can sometimes be hard to get a hold of the event coordinator for Leu Gardens. Can be a little pricy. When all terms are agreed to and contract is signed, we had no problems with the venue during or after our event. They set up the chairs and tore down afterward and cleaned up after the reception

It was amazing there. We had the small out door ceremony max 25 people. I wish they would have allowed more people @ the small outdoor ceremony site though. We ended up having to include the ourselves(bride/groom),photographer, my 9 month old son, plus person that married us in the '25' people count.

The reception we had 50 people in the Orchid room. Really wish they could have all been @ the ceremony but the only other option would have been the large $750 out door ceremony compared to the $175 small. There should be some other option in the middle of that.

My husband and I just loved the gardens. There were several different locations to choose for the ceremony. We exchanged our vows under the trellis, just across from the rose garden. The price of rental was extremely decent. We had a small wedding party, but I believe a larger ceremony (30+) costs more. The only problem we had was the leaf blower in the other garden; it was a little loud during our ceremony. In case of rain or bad weather, they reserve a room indoors for you to continue with your ceremony. Also, you cannot throw rice in the gardens, but there are alternative things to use, such as organic "hearts" that we found in Michael's Craft store. Flexibility wasn't too bad; first come, first serve, just like most rental places. Smaller weddings have a stricter time period to choose from. All in all, after reviewing our wedding pictures, it was worth it.

A beautiful place to get married if you like the garden setting. They were very helpful, but strict on a few policies. All in all they worked well with us as well as our vendors. I would recommend them, but not during the summer when it rains..HA HA. It was still beautiful.

Our wedding was scheduled for the morning of 9.9.17 the weekend of hurricane Irma. We ended up having our wedding in our rehearsal slot time on 9.7.17. Leu Gardens was the spot of our first valentines day and having our wedding ceremony there was very special! All the planning for the wedding had to be changed last minute and the team, especially Debbie, answered all our questions and helped us move our wedding date and time. We chose an outside wedding in the Rose Garden. Although some minor details were overlooked from the walk through that we had planned for the official day we can't possibly complain about these. Leu Gardens turned the world upside down to make our wedding happen and were very flexible. It is important to read all the documents to understand how they operate as they are a non - profit organization and have a small dedicated team and then volunteers. The grounds are gorgeous, the staff is generous and truly cares about your experience, and they will be there for you even during a hurricane. They were shut down for several weeks after the hurricane destroyed a lot of the gardens and major clean up was needed, all from volunteers. This is a beautiful place to get married and we recommend wholeheartedly.

We loved this place from day 1. Some minor miscommunication (and a small heart attack) on our final walk through day, but nothing that wasn't resolved quickly. Debbie and John were both very friendly, and pretty flexible through the process. We held our ceremony on the Leu House Lawn and our reception in the Camilla Room...both were perfectly set up. Out guests said the whole wedding was "visually stunning", and I know Leu Gardens was a huge part of that. Highly recommend!

Leu Gardens is a fantastic place to have a wedding. We had our ceremony in front of the Floral Clock and all our guests couldn't stop talking about how beautiful it was. The reception room has all the amenities you need and the facilities staff are great. It was a great to have everything in one place for us because we had mostly out of town guests attend. It is a great value for the price and we had kids attend who could go outside and play when they started to get bored. I would recommend it to anyone looking for an outdoor venue.

Leu Gardens is beautiful! We loved that we could have an outdoor ceremony and an indoor reception at the same place. The price is reasonable and the staff was easy to work with prior to the wedding. They were responsive when I called with questions or concerns. Leu Gardens has a lot of rules and wedding and reception times are set and cannot be changed. That is why I rated them low for flexibility. However, they did allow me to get into the bridal room early, which was really nice. The staff on the day of the wedding were great. You do need to have a DOC though - their staff is there to set up chairs and help transport guests who needed assistance in a golf cart, but not much more. Our guests loved Leu Gardens.

Beautiful Venue

Jonathan was easy to work with and responded to all of my questions quickly. HPLG is gorgeous and only drawback is that you are limited on the Ceremony times (10am or 4pm) and there are only 4 caterers you can choose form. We got married inside in the Lantern Room and all of my guest commented on how beautiful everything was. The Veranda is beautiful and included in the rental of the Ballroom but they do not allow music there and it's extremely hot in the summer so it's virtually useless. Other than that, everything is lovely.

I loved the garden wedding. Debbie is always very busy with booking weddings, and sometimes it reflects in her responsiveness (via email at least). I was told there was signage to help guests find the ceremony site. It was very small and hard to see so I recommend bringing your own. Reception had to be done by 9 so plan an afterparty. The venue is beautiful (we got married in Feb so 70 degrees and sunny). The patio and reception room were exactly what we needed!

We choose Leu Gardens for its beauty. Our wedding turned out wonderful considering the rain and weather we were supposed to have on this day, so having an outside wedding at 4pm was a little scary but with the grace of God there was no rain. It was a bit windy so we were not able to use all the decorations we provided and that was a bummer but hey that's mother nature and not Leu Gardens fault. We choose the Leu house lawn for the ceremony site and we loved it! We also had our reception there as well and that turned out great as well, the only downfall I feel there is to using Leu Gardens for the ceremony and reception is the fact that you are so limited to time. We had the ceremony site from 3 to 5 and was only allowed to arrive 30 minutes early (2:30pm) so unless you pay big dollars to have someone set up the ceremony and reception while the wedding party gets ready then there would be no time to set up the decorations. Other than the time crunch I think Leu Gardens is a wonderful place to have a wedding.

The gardens are gorgeous. The one complaint I have is provided by the guests. There was only one sign in the entire garden that said where my wedding was and it can be very confusing to find.

One problem with an outdoor wedding is they make you decide 2 hours in advance, and once you make your decision there is no changing it after the 2 hour mark. My venue was very nice. I did love it. It fit all 80 of my guests. They provided tables and chairs. They are very strict about the hours. You will start to clean up before your time is over. But for the money it was worth it.

Leu Gardens is beautiful, but they aren't easy to work with. They have very strict rules regarding timing and it's not easy to set up when you have just an hour or so. It also rained on our wedding day and we didn't get to take photos in the garden and unfortunately we didn't get any money back even though we didn't get to have our ceremony outside.

We had both our ceremony and reception here. They offer multiple locations to hold the ceremony, we use the rose garden. We received so many compliments about the location and how beautiful it was. The best part was having the whole garden to take photos after the ceremony. We used Levan's catering (which was on their approved list) and it was just fantastic.

Pros: affordable, beautiful, very popular location
Cons: strict rules due to being owned by the government, they do very little to help with the planning, can only use certain caters (but all of them have great reviews)

We had our reception at Leu Gardens, and it was beautiful. However, it was scorching hot in our room. We asked several times for them to check out their AC, and no one was really helpful. While I think that may of affected some guys, we still had a blast. I just wish that they were more flexible with their hours, would of loved to of had a longer reception

My husband and I fell in love with the gardens years before we decided to get married there. The ceremony and reception were fantastic, although are are only allowed 4 hours for the party. Beware if you want to use the Rose Garden as they cut back the flowers after Valentine's Day.

Beautiful location but very hard to work with if you want to add your own person touches on your wedding day due the decorating and time restrictions. One thing I wish we would have known prior to this was the availability of the dressing rooms outside in the garden area. Instead, I paid for a hotel to get ready at and take pre-wedding photos.

I held a small reception in the Orchid Room at Leu Gardens. The venue is beautiful, and is a perfect setting for an event like ours (short, secular ceremony, minimal fuss, maximum opportunity to visit with guests). My communications with the Leu Gardens staff were minimal, and my only complaint is that I had to do all of the follow-up myself - no one called or emailed to confirm receipt of my faxed contract as I'd requested (I did receive a receipt in the mail a week or so later), and I didn't get a reminder to pay the balance (I assume I would have, if I'd waited long enough, but an emailed reminder a few weeks before the deadline seems like a good idea). However, once I made the phone calls, every time I was easily able to speak to someone who could help me.

I really appreciate that Leu allows wedding guests to visit the gardens without paying admission (make sure to leave time for your guests to walk the grounds!), and although I had read about their absolute inflexibility with regards to their rules and schedules, I thought the rules were reasonable and didn't feel at all constrained by them. For the beauty of the setting, a reception at Leu Gardens is an incredible value.

The venue was beautiful and the wedding was amazing. The only negative thing I could say is the time we had in the reception was not enough. Originally we were told we were the only wedding and when we showed up at 2pm to set up we were told we could set up 30 min before the wedding started. Several people in the bridal party had to rush and set up almost missing the ceremony because of poor planning on the venues part. Other than te venue was excellent the area the feel was great

We received many compliments from our guest on how beautiful the grounds are. Our wedding was absolutely fabulous ! We chose a dinner/reception with no dancing or alcohol, which was perfect for this venue! You have a 4 hour window for the reception with no flexibility. For our wedding , it all worked out. If you are planning a low key elegant wedding, Leu Gardens is the place!

Leu Gardens was the picture perfect place for our wedding. We were married in July at 10am in the Rose Garden. It was extremely hot, and guests were exhausted (we were allowed to have bottled water for our guests). The pictures look amazing, thanks to the beautiful scenery. We looked for our venue for over two years and when we found the Rose Garden at Leu, we knew it was the place for us.

In my opinion, Leu Gardens offers the most beautiful out door ceremonies in Orlando. Furthermore, you can't beat the price. For a mid size to larger wedding (approx. 25-180 people), it only cost around $1500 for both the ceremony and reception. Before my wedding, people had warned me that working with the staff was a nightmare, but I found the exact opposite to be true. They were very pleasant and responsive to my requests. That being said, the gardens has a ton of strict rules on how they conduct weddings, including how and when they can be booked, the length and timing of ceremonies and receptions, what vendors can be used, and how their facilities can be decorated. If you are willing to work within these guidelines, the staff at Leu Gardens will make sure you have a very pleasant, beautiful experience. However, I would not recommend them for brides who are looking to customize their wedding with various large special requests (confetti send offs, fireworks, etc.)

Beautiful but no help to Bridal Party

Overall, I loved my wedding location and I would do it over again. However, there were some things about the venue that we were upset about. I will preface this with, they told me that there wasn’t going to be a day of coordinator. However, I was unaware we would be totally on on own. When we got there, the front desk lady gave my bridal party a map and circled where to go. Then we had no point of contact from there. It was really frustrating for my maid of honor and mother of the bride who were Trying to coordinate the groomsman and bridesmaids in the correct get - ready room. When we asked for a tour prior to the wedding day, they said it was self-guided so we had no real idea of where those rooms were located. The bridesmaids and I ended up in a get ready room that was inside the regular lobby. However, the rose garden was a ways away. Then there was a debate over the golf cart. They originally said no one except handicapped people. We respectfully asked if we could use it for the bride( I was wearing a ball gown and heels) and the mother of the groom. They looked at her and said “you’re not disabled.” And she had walked back and forth many times with burnt feet in heels. We were upset that there was no compassion. Finally, they let me go on the golf cart, along with one of my bridesmaids who had a boot on her foot. But needless to say, that was unkind to us. They should make an exception to that policy for weddings. Perhaps just bridal party and disabled guests. The rose garden was kept lovely and the grounds of course. Ballroom was set up the way we needed it to be when we got there. I would recommend if you want to have a beautiful wedding at a smaller price, but fair warning- hire a day of coordinator and don’t expect to use the golf cart.

Leu gardens was a beautiful place to have our ceremony. We originally wanted the rose garden, but after being told the front flowers were going to be there for the ceremony.. we went for our rehearsal and they had been all cut. We then changed our location to the house lawn and they were very helpful and apologetic and changed our location information quickly for us. It was a beautiful day and the tree in front of the house made a gorgeous backdrop. My biggest complaint was communication. The garden coordinator never answered her phone when I called and took 2-3 days to reply to any emails. Also, when questions were asked, the answers were very run around and blunt. I understand they are busy, but these were things I needed to know for the ceremony. Thankfully the rest of the staff were absolutely phenomenal, helpful, and extremely friendly! For the price and location I would highly recommend it in all for the venue, however just be prepared to be left wondering about some things. Catering helped a lot with what wasn't answered, however on that note keep in mind you do have to use one of their designated caterers which can get pricey.

Our wedding at Leu Gardens was gorgeous! Our wedding video turned out awesome and I'm sure our photos did too. I wish they would give you access to the bride and grooms rooms for more time before the ceremony, there is not enough time to get ready in there, it's just enough to get dressed and get a few pictures. The venue itself is gorgeous. We had our ceremony at the Leu House Museum and it was perfect. The chairs were included and set up for us and the house was decorated for Christmas (a bonus) but was absolutely stunning. We loved that the tree and greenery provided most of the decoration and you didn't need to add much more. We didn't have a runner just 6 shepherd's hooks with flowers in mason jars and 2 large whiskey barrels with arrangements on top. It was awesome that they offer a golf cart to tote the elderly from the ceremony site to the reception, otherwise we had quite a few people that wouldn't have been able to make it. As far as the caterers go, I really enjoyed Char-Don. They are friendly and efficient and didn't mind when I asked them to change things 100 times. The food was awesome and affordable as well. I'm sure the other options were just as tasty they were just a bit out of our price range. I loved the list of caterers they use since you already have do many decisions to make, this decision was made a little easier. The reception room is not too fancy but the tables and chairs are provided and once you get them covered with linens you can't tell they're dated. The one thing I wish we had more of was time. It seems like you're rushing around to meet their schedule. We did get everything we wanted in but we were always hurrying along. If you don't mind being rushed this is a great venue. Very beautiful outdoors and I loved the option of being able to have it inside in case it rained (it didn't but never hurts to have a backup plan). If you'd like to linger on your day and have a long reception, I'd go elsewhere.

We had an amazing wedding at Leu Gardens November 2015. The venue was absolutely gorgeous and we did not need to spend so much on flowers because many things were in bloom outside. I would definitely recommend this venue to anyone looking for a place to have an amazing and memorable ceremony and reception.

Leu Gardens is one of the most beautiful gardens I have ever visited, and it was just as gorgeous the day of the wedding. The price the have your ceremony and reception at the gardens is extremely affordable, just a little under $1600 including insurance. Debbie, their wedding coordinator, was professional but a little hard to contact and not very flexible (we were limited in the materials we could use for the grand exit, only allowed to choose from six caterers, must be done by 9 pm, etc). They are very up front about these and other conditions on their website, so be sure you read through them and contact Debbie to clarify if need be. The reasons for most of these restrictions are understandable, since they are a public garden first and hosting your wedding does not take priority over preserving the garden. We had our wedding in the afternoon in late May and the weather was perfect (not too hot, no rain). All in all, if you are looking for a beautiful wedding venue that your guests will enjoy, will be easy on your budget, and you don't mind making some compromises, I would highly recommend Leu Gardens.

We were married in Hawaii but had our reception at Leu Gardens for friends and family who couldn't attend the ceremony. We booked the Camellia room, which was quite affordable for the space and quality of the venue. This is a city owned property and would probably cost quadruple the amount if privately owned. Leu Gardens requires that you select one of their 7 approved caterers. The caterers differed in price quite a bit. We ended up going with Levan's because they were able to give us everything we wanted at a price we could afford. Leu Gardens allows you to provide your own liquor, which helped us trim some from our budget. The Leu Gardens staff while not rude, could have been more helpful in some areas. They wouldn't give us to the key to the bridal suite, which I found strange. But for the price we paid, it was nothing we couldn't handle. I had read reviews of people who felt they were thrown out promptly at 10:00. While we did wind down the evening at 10:00 as required to do, we did not feel rushed out. The room itself is beautiful and the screened porch area has great views of the lake front area. This place books up fast, so call early. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for an affordable but beautiful venue.

Leu gardens provided beautiful scenery for our wedding photos! All the plants and flowers there are wonderful! The staff were decently accommodating with how we wanted the ceremony site set up. We had no difficulties whatsoever with anything on the day of the wedding. Debbie, the wedding specialist at Leu Gardens, can be particularly hard to get a hold of, though, which was the only difficult thing with planning but otherwise everything went well!

We were very happy with the location- the Rose Garden was a beautiful backdrop for the ceremony and the Camellia Room was perfect for our group (80 people). The wedding contact person (Debbie) was very responsive to our emails and phone calls. We were lucky to book an evening wedding in May less than a year in advance, as there was a cancellation. Call early! The only downside is the lack of flexibility with the timing and length of the reception. So we had an afterparty at the hotel (with snacks/subs and the leftover alcohol) which was well attended.

Harry P. Leu Gardens are beautiful. I had a gorgeous wedding simply because the scenery is gorgeous. The disadvantages are that it's so expensive and that you have such limited time in the gardens (especially if you have a 4pm wedding).

This is a beautiful and affordable location. However the staff is not flexible at all and it would have been nice to have better customer service. First I had to change the ceremony site due to the hurricane and then they claimed they changed the sparkler policy between when I booked the location and when my wedding actually was and never informed me. It caused a lot more stress than was needed. That being said it was still beautiful, just don't expect them to work with you.

Leu Gardens is one of the most gorgeous and cost effective wedding venues Orlando has to offer. My Fiance and I were so thrilled to find a place that had a bit of everything that we were looking for, while still allowing us financially to save money and stay within our budget. The staff is a little hard to get a hold of, but once you do it is well worth the wait. If you are looking for a cost effective indoor/outdoor ceremony and reception venue for a budget couple then this is the place for you!

From the beginning...

From the beginning when I started communicating with Jonathan he was great when we were emailing but it was a little difficult to get in touch with him. The responsiveness was average. While the garden was very beautiful there were a few things that could’ve been better. First and foremost I was told by a few of my guests that there were some racist undertones from the staff and some people visiting the gardens, that is completely unacceptable! Two, they do not allow guests or wedding parties to ride in the golf carts unless they are elderly which lead to a lot of people getting lost in the garden on the way to the reception area. That leads me to my last thing is that there were no signage directing everyone to the building where the reception was held. Other than the day of the wedding I had no issues with Leu Gardens, it is very beautiful.
