Beautiful Music and a Wonderful Human!
It was such a pleasure to meet Mary even for a fleeting moment on our wedding day and to work with her via email leading up to our wedding on 7/15/2024. Leading up to the big day I had no doubt that Mary was going to be a wonderful musician and professional 'vendor' for the wedding. I cannot recommend her enough, and if I ever get the chance to hire a Harpist for an event I will be asking Mary without a doubt.
From Carson and I to Mary...
Thank you SO much for your beautiful work!!! I wish I could've heard you play more, had more time to just chat with you, and get to know you some more on the big day.
We've heard multiple guests of ours comment on how super cool it was to hear you play Stairway to Heaven during the ceremony entrances- I was super excited for you to play that song! One of our groomsmen couldn't help himself from crying when you played UP's Married Life for the recessional. Someone thought they heard a Harry Potter song- and loved it!
Our wedding day was a whirlwind for Carson and I, but I know that several people were emotionally moved and thought the ceremony was wonderfully balanced and BEAUTIFUL (with big thanks to you). Guests have said the ceremony was magical; with the horses, light rain, weather/temp, and HARP music!
I already miss the big day so much and I wish I could've been everywhere at once to spend ample time with everyone. Thank you so much for being a part of this very memorable day for Carson and I - it was a very special day for us for several reasons and it wouldn't have been the same without you!

We absolutely LOVED having Mary play at our wedding!
Mary made our first look and private vows so special by playing a favorite song of mine, and took an on the spot song request during our meal. She has a huge repertoire and can accommodate any kind of service/wedding! I would recommend her to anyone looking for a harpist! -

Beautiful Harpist
Mary was so professional and did such an amazing job! Many of my guests raved about the harpist, and our wedding coordinator even asked for her contact information to be added to the Broadmoor's preferred vendors list. I would recommend her to anyone and everyone. -

Mary was incredible!
I hired Mary for my wedding, to play music before the ceremony, during the ceremony, and during cocktail hour. She played so beautifully, several guests made comments to me about how wonderful the harp music was. I didn't get a chance to thank all my vendors in person during the wedding, but I had to catch Mary before she left because she had made our day so special. She had so many songs in her repertoire that fit both my personality and the venue perfectly. I would highly recommend her, she is incredibly talented as well as a lovely person! -

People are still talking about our ceremony music from over a month ago—they loved Mary as much as we did. Mary is so talented and has a calming, positive presence about her. She is open to requests and strives to make your day and music perfect. She is very reliable, organized, thoughtful and kind. 10/10 recommend Mary! -

The Most Amazing Ceremony!
Mary was absolutely amazing to work with. Originally my husband and I were just going to have our DJ play the music at our ceremony but when we discovered Mary at a tasting we attended at our venue we were sold! Her music is so beautiful and added to beauty of our ceremony. She played classic wedding songs as guests were seated and also played our processional and recessional music. I had even made a special request for the song I wanted to walk down the aisle to and she was able to do it without question! I would highly recommend Mary for anyone getting married and wanting to add that special touch that will be a memorable part of your wedding! -

Incredible Harpist!
I had initially heard Mary perform at a wedding for a friend of mine and was blown away. So when I got engaged and was planning my wedding, she was a top contender to have perform for me as well. Right from the beginning I was totally impressed with her. Having never planned a wedding myself, she was very helpful in knowing and planning the flow of the day. I will also mention I live hours away from Mary and had to communicate primarily through e-mail, but she was extremely flexible, responsive, and easy to work with. The day of the wedding, it was a small, only 25 person, ceremony at the Denver Botanic Gardens where Mary played beforehand as people arrived, the whole music during the ceremony, and for a portion of the cocktail hour following the ceremony. During the cocktail hour I think all of the guests came up to me to either compliment her playing or ask where I found her. The next day even, everyone continued to be amazed by and comment on how awesome the music was. Her repertoire is huge, which helps to choose something more classic, contemporary, or just different. She can do it all and is even willing to learn new pieces if given enough time. I cannot give a higher recommendation for Mary. She is amazing! -

Mary really made our wedding special
My brother had a harpist at his wedding, and it was so beautiful that I was DEAD SET on having a harpist at my own. Really, there's no other harpists in the Denver area that I could find who seemed to play the song list I liked and most of all, beautifully. I loved Mary's playlist that she had on her website. However when I contacted Mary, she had been already taken for our date and I was bummed.
I became a believer of fate in this process -- as I scoured for more harpists, Mary messaged me after I had launched a request on another website-- the date had become available because the couple she was booked with changed their date. I was ecstatic. My fiance and I visited her to hear some samples live, which was great. Mary is very courteous, and worked with my planner on the logistics (my wedding was on a mountain, so it was a bit hard to get to) to ensure a smooth day. I only got to see her as I walked out with my father to the altar (and then of course your mind goes blank and you don't really remember much), and then she waved as she packed up to say goodbye -- but all I got were comments about how it was such beautiful music and how everyone enjoyed it. I couldn't recommend her more! Thank you so much, Mary, for making our day so special. -

Truly perfect
Mary is kind, professional, flexible, and an expert harpist. I simply cannot describe how wonderful she was and how pleasant she was to work with. She played for our outdoor wedding ceremony (June 2018) and we could not have been more pleased with Mary and the music she played. As I was in the process of moving to another state during wedding planning, I was unable to meet with her prior to the wedding day. She was completely flexible and able to coordinate with me by email. We did not rehearse with her before the ceremony, but everything went flawlessly the day of the wedding! She has a vast repertoire of musical genres that she is able to play and I am certain that she can help make your day as special as she helped make ours. Additionally, we believe her pricing is fair and a great value for a live music option. We highly recommend Mary as a harpist for your wedding or event! -

Gorgeous dream like ceremony.

Mary is AMAZING!! She is everything you want in a vendor- responsible, personable and insanely talented. Mary Keener - The BEST Wedding Harpist / Musician
Mary was the PERFECT addition to my daughter's wedding. She added a simple elegance that provided a beautiful accent to the ceremony. Mary was helpful guiding us to some musical suggestions and also very open to our requests. In addition we included her as the music for the reception cocktail hour - which was just the right touch for mingling and listening to her wide repertoire. I could not have been more pleased!! She is so nice to work with, reasonably priced and extremely professional. She is experienced with weddings which means she is very self managed - a detail that did not need my attention on the day of the wedding!-

Even though we had some delays and timing issues, Mary was able to accommodate and did so graciously. She is very friendly and easy to talk to, making planning all the easier. On top of being a wonderful person, her music is simply beautiful. Very happy to have her be part of our wedding, it added so much class to the night. I cant recommend her enough, honestly. A Beautiful Sound for a Beautiful Day
Going into our wedding planning, I always knew I wanted something unique for the ceremony. When my now husband and I attended a small dinner showcasing different wedding vendors, we fell in love with Mary Keener and her harp. I knew immediately I needed her services for our wedding from just hearing her play a few selections. During the ceremony, her sound fit perfectly into the atmosphere and the physical presence of her and the harp made a very classy and personal addition to the room. Mary also had a great selection of modern and classical pieces to play during the ceremony. We did a combination of pieces that were classical, modern arrangements, songs from movies, and even some Beatles. The whole ceremony was tied together thanks to her music.
I don't think I can ever fully express how much I enjoyed working Mary and having her be apart of our wedding. It made everything really come together on a very special day. -

A Wedding in Vail with Mary Playing the Harp
A wedding in Vail is always special. There are few things you can do to make such a day even more special. Mary playing the harp, with music we had picked especially for us, is one of my favorite memories of our wedding. It was lovely and the music made the day even more amazing. The most romantic backdrop for your ceremony -
From the moment I met with Mary, the experience was wonderful. She took the time to personalize every moment, going through song selections and making suggestions along the way. She was so pleasant and put me completely at ease. As I was planning from out of state, she even played specific pieces for me over the phone so I could truly hear how my choices sounded by harp. It was absolutely beautiful...the perfect backdrop for my ceremony. I highly recommend Mary for anyone looking for that perfect romantic touch for their wedding. -

Mary was amazing! She met with us before the wedding and let us listen to her play. She played songs we thought we might want in our ceremony, and made her own suggestions as well (many of which we ended up going with because they were better than our own!). Mary is absolutely fantastic.....we were so lucky to find her. Not only is she extremely competitively priced, she is very good at what she does and is quite talented. We even visited her house to listen to some of her work which was incredibly helpful....and she can show you how many songs she actually knows (spoiler...there are a ton)!
Mary even learned a new song for us to play at the wedding about a month or so before the wedding day. If you are looking for a harpist in the Denver(ish) area, look no further than Mary Keener! Thanks again, Mary! -

Mary was wonderful and we thoroughly enjoyed our experience having her play at our wedding ceremony. Not only is she a very talented musician, she was a true professional throughout the whole process leading up to the wedding. She was very responsive and always got back to me very quickly. Mary also let me choose all of the songs leading up to, during and after the ceremony and she can usually accommodate special requests. Our guests raved about the intimate feel that Mary’s music created and we couldn’t be happier! We have hired Mary on two occasions - once for a funeral and once for our own wedding. Both times Mary has been extremely professional in her approach to working with the music director at our church and with us to make sure our selected music is played perfectly and at the appropriate time(s) throughout the ceremonies. She even learned new music that wasn't in her standard repertoire and it was performed flawlessly. Mary has arrived early both times, and sets her instrument up well in advance of the event with minimal disruption to others. She is a truly talented individual. Mary is incredibly talented and so kind. She invited us to her home before we signed a contract to meet her, and listen to some of her ideas about repertoire. Throughout the few months before the wedding, she and our officiant communicated a few times about the music during, immediatly before, and after, the ceremony. A few days before, Mary even came to the venue having prepared and arranged some of the music to accompany the wedding liturgy, and she was able to rehearse it with us and the officiant. Mary Keener was awesome for our destination wedding in the mountains. We were afraid of rain on the day of the ceremony but Mary was very flexible about arriving early or staying later. Gratefully we got no rain but Mary showed up early anyways. We met with Mary 2 days before the ceremony and she basically played the entire set for us, it was amazing just watching/listening to how much real talent she has. We asked her to play a lot of new songs (pop songs & songs from movies) and although she hadnt played them before, she was able to play them very well on what seemed to be her first or second try. Having live music is important to get the right ambiance for your ceremony so dont skip it. Not only does the Harp look great in pictures, but her sound was exactly what we wanted. -

She was so friendly when we met with her to pick out music, and she was terrific in giving us some options and ideas of her own when were looking for them, but also was able to whip out a specific, non-traditional song when we asked for it to also be added. And then for the day of the wedding, while we were so busy and preparing for the ceremony and did not get to hear her too much ourselves, our guests raved about how wonderful she was. Everyone though that having harp music for the ceremony and pre-ceremony was a beautiful idea and truly help to set the mood, and Mary was simply perfect for this. Our anticipated June wedding soon became what some would call a blessing or a misfortune-rain took over the morning of our wedding.
When we arrived however, prior to the ceremony, Mary was already there setup and playing music for our guests to enjoy to the background of raindrops.

I knew that I wanted a harpist to play during our ceremony, and from the moment I met Mary I knew that we had found what we had been looking for! She replied immediately to my email and explained everything very clearly, and she was so friendly and easy to work with. We were able to go to hear her play music selections, and she played many different songs so we could hear what they would sound like. Mary was able to play such a wide variety of music, from classical pieces to the Beatles (she even played the Star Wars theme for us!). It was so nice to be able to completely customize our ceremony instead of having to select from a short list of the usual songs. I would highly recommend booking Mary for your ceremony! My wedding venue recommended Mary as the best musician they have worked with, and I was so glad to have been recommended her. At first I was wary of going through musicians I was unfamiliar with, but Mary actually sat with me and played different pieces until I could decide what I liked, and also gave me great confidence in her abilities. She even arrived early to the venue and was in no rush to leave. I had an outside wedding and she was willing to work with me on options if the weather was bad, and I found her price honest and fair.
In terms of the ceremony, she was on cue with our minister and made things absolutely no hassle for me on my wedding day. She got rave reviews from everyone and really gave an intimate feel to our small ceremony. As a pianist and musician myself, I found her to be incredibly professional and her music passionate. -

Mary is absolutely amazing - if I could give her 10 stars I would. She played for our wedding ceremony a few weeks ago and we could not have been happier. We met with her prior to the ceremony to pick our song selections and were completely blown away by her talent. Guests commented about what a treat it was to have a harpist and complimented her music throughout the night. Not only is Mary truly gifted with the art of music, she is such a sincere, kind person. Mary did a fantastic job with the music for our ceremony and cocktail hour. The harp music she played was gorgeous and magical, and really helped to set the romantic mood we were looking for. We had a number of guests come up to us and tell us how awesome it was that we had a harpist and how much they enjoyed it.
On top of being a wonderful musician, Mary also went above and beyond; just 2 weeks before our wedding my fiance asked her if she could possibly learn a lesser known song from Zelda (Nintendo game). Despite the short notice, Mary learned it and played it absolutely beautifully. Although barely anyone knew what she was playing, those guests who did realize it got a huge kick out of it, as did we! She was so nice and was overall just great to work with. -

I cannot recommend Mary highly enough! Her music was absolutely beautiful!! We got married at the Denver Botanic Gardens (York Street location), and the harp music was the perfect complement to the garden setting. Mary has a very extensive repertoire, and she was so helpful in selecting the music for our special day. She was extremely professional and very responsive, which really is important for wedding vendors. I was stressed about a lot of things surrounding my wedding because I didn't have a planner or coordinator, but I never worried for a minute about the music. I would highly recommend Mary! -

This review is long overdue. From the moment I contacted Mary, she was always prompt with answering her emails. My daughter, her fiancé, her dad and I met with Mary to discuss our vision for the wedding. Mary played several pieces of music on her harp at our request. One piece brought tears to my husband's eyes. The piece was called, "What a Wonderful World." She played it beautifully.
Over the course of a year, I emailed Mary several times. I requested a piece for my daughter's wedding that was not in her repertoire. She had no reservations about it, and said she knew the song and would learn it. Because of my interactions with Mary, I felt confident she would do a beautiful job. And she did!
On the day of my daughter's wedding, Mary arrived early! She was dressed professionally and played exceptionally. We received so many positive comments from our guests about Mary's music. Would I recommended Mary? Absolutely! If fact, she is playing at my daughter's best friend's wedding this summer. -

We had our ceremony in an outdoor setting When it came to planning our ceremony, we really wanted something special… something that would set the tone for our special day. During our initial meeting with Mary, she took her time and played a few songs. She very quickly captured what we wanted and booked her immediately!
As I was walking down the aisle, I got goose bumps as she played our theme song… our guests and family members where also touched and fascinated by her talent!
We HIGHLY recommend Mary. She is extremely talented, professional, and very easy to work with… and her harp is visually majestic. It was a highlight to our “décor”.

Mary Keener did an outstanding job at our wedding ceremony, held Feb. 23, 2013 at the Inn at Hudson Gardens. Mary was very responsive and professional from the first time I contacted her. She was also incredibly flexible - I reached out to her just a couple of weeks before our wedding and she responded right away and was even open to playing our requested songs, even though I'd given her such short notice. She made it easy to work with her and I knew right away that we'd made the right choice.
The ceremony was so beautiful with Mary playing her harp - it was romantic and lovely in the cabin setting, against the fireplace.
I would highly recommend Mary - she is truly talented and a wonderful addition to your wedding or event. -

Mary was wonderful to work with in accommodating some of the songs we needed for our ceremony. Her playing was very beautiful and perfect for our ceremony in conjunction with a friend singing. My one regret was not getting to hear more of her playing since we had been outside doing pictures for the majority of the time that we had her there. The music was beautiful, both during the ceremony and during the cocktail hour that followed. I will always remember the moment when my wife came around the corner and Mary began to play Here Comes the Bride. It brings a tear to my eye just thinking about it.
Mary was also a pleasure to work with. We had very little knowledge of classical and, more specifically, harp music, and she guided us through the selection of the perfect songs for our ceremony and celebration. And she was well organized throughout the process, asking us the questions we didn't even think to ask and coordinating with our wedding planner and the minister.
All in all, I highly recommend Mary. She was outstanding in all regards. -
