Everything that we spent for our wedding day at Brighton Abbey was worth it. From the beginning of our initial tour, I knew it was the one. Just magical. The venue itself is the perfect size to have around 150 people comfortably, and still feel intimate. Our on-site coordinator, Madelyn, was amazing to work with and took so much off of my plate the last month. My day was stress-free, except for the butterflies before the aisle! Highly recommend! -

I got married at BA on 5/31 and it was the wedding of my dreams! The venue is absolutely stunning and it was the easiest decision to book our wedding date there. I received an abundance of compliments from guests about how stunning the venue is and if you see the venue in person, you will understand why. The staff is great as well, they always responded to my emails in a timely manner and were extremely helpful in answering my questions. I suggest booking here asap if you are interested due to its popularity and couples booking out well in advance. I highly recommend getting married here and I can’t say enough good things about the venue and staff! -

We loved Brighton Abbey! We just got married 10 days ago and had Holly as our coordinator. She was very thorough and made sure every detail was accounted for to ensure a seamless wedding day. The space is absolutely beautiful we had so many compliments from our guests. We got married in the chapel, used the outside area for cocktail hour, and the ballroom for reception. They made sure our day was so stress free and I would recommend Brighton Abbey to all couples! -

This venue is gorgeous!! We got married in late March and it was perfect. We hired the venue coordinator (WORTH EVERY PENNY!!!!) Kennedy was so helpful and patient. If you’re looking for a place in TX that isn’t a barn- this place is elegant, romantic, and will leave your guests impressed! -

My husband and were initially looking to book Knotting Hill for our vow renewal but a BA rep suggested we try out Brighton Abbey because of our guest count. I'm so glad we listened! Everything turned out absolutely beautiful and I'm still receiving compliments from our guests on how gorgeous the property was. Emily was our rep and she was very helpful, kind and accommodating. We also reserved this venue for a very reasonable price in comparison to others- which gave us some room in our budget for additions like a dancefloor, photobooth and audio guest book (these were also a huge hit). Can't recommend Brighton Abbey enough! -

Where do you even begin when reviewing such an incredible venue and team? When my husband and I first discovered Brighton Abbey, we initially had some challenges with our coordinator, who wasn’t very familiar with the venue or the packages. However, once the venue was made aware of the issues, they immediately stepped in and sent two angels — Holly and Mollie — who completely turned everything around.
From the moment we started working with Holly, everything fell into place. We had a budget in mind, and thanks to Holly’s expertise and her connections with vendors like TCP Catering and the bartending services, we were able to stay within that budget without sacrificing any of our dreams. Holly took the time to understand exactly what we envisioned for our wedding, and through every meeting and conversation, she made sure that vision came to life.
Our wedding on February 28th was nothing short of magical. Both of our families are still talking about it to this day! Holly and Mollie were not only kind and patient, but they also made the process so smooth — from coordinating payment plans to helping us secure the Notting Hill Landing rental home, where we even managed to throw a Hawaiian luau in February!
The level of precision and care they put into every detail was incredible. Everything on the day of our wedding was perfect, and we can’t thank Holly, Mollie, and the Brighton Abbey team enough for making our dream wedding a reality. It felt like a million-dollar event, but it was all done within an affordable budget and payment plan.
If I could give Brighton Abbey a 10 out of 10, I would — but since the scale only goes to 5, consider this an enthusiastic 5-star review! If you’re looking for a venue for a wedding, quinceañera, or any professional event, look no further. Holly, Mollie, and the entire team at Brighton Abbey are simply the best. Thank you again, my angels — we will never forget you! -

We chose Brighton abbey for our wedding venue and was so impressed. We were sold after our first tour. It was modern, timeless and elegant which is exactly what we wanted.
Jillian was our month of coordinator and made our experience so easy and less stressful. In such a happy/ stressful time of life, we really relied on this team to guide us. Their communication was great, accommodated so many of our unique asks and overall made it so much easier.

We cannot recommend Brighton Abbey enough! From the moment we stepped in, we knew it was the perfect place for our wedding. The venue itself is absolutely stunning and was the perfect size for our ~130 guests, and the incredible team made everything run smoothly.
A huge shoutout to our month-of coordinator Jillian, who went above and beyond to ensure every detail was perfect. She was accessible via email and text, worked with us as we changed details multiple times, and kept us and our vendors on track so everything was flawless on our wedding day!
The preferred vendors also knocked it out of the park (we did Five Star Catering for the food and Twisted Spirits for drinks), and we ended up getting a lot of compliments on the quality and taste of the food. It was exactly what we wanted and more, from our appetizers through to the main course, to the cake cutting.
We are so grateful for the amazing team at Brighton Abbey for making our dream wedding come true! -

We got married 11.18.24! If you’re wanting a venue with castle vibes, tall windows, and tons of natural lighting, Brighton Abbey is the one!! This was the first venue we visited and instantly fell in love. Between the stairs at the front, to the windows in the ceremony space, and the beautiful outdoor ceremony/cocktail space, there’s so much to admire! The staff here were great and kind! Very responsive and patient with all the questions we had. Mollie was our assigned day of coordinator and she did a great job wrapping up our planning journey! Also I think it’s cool that the groom suite has an “hidden door”. The cocktails were delicious and they were accommodating when brining in vendors which has truly appreciated. Our day went perfectly and we’re beyond glad that we went with Brighton Abbey! -

Every detail of the venue itself is meticulously thought out and absolutely stunning! The amount of compliments we received about our venue choice is insane!! Beautiful Venue!
Such a beautiful and magical venue! The chapel is what drew us to this location but the outdoor area and reception space were equally as beautiful. Our guests commented on the beauty of our venue and how they felt like they were at a fairytale wedding. Sparkling chandeliers throughout elevated the look and looked amazing in our photos. The staff was great to work with and very responsive and easy to communicate with. Our coordinator Jillian was amazing and went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect for us! -

We absolutely LOVED our venue and so did our guests for our January wedding (the window chapel even in winter was stunning for our photos!). The chapel and ceremony space are gorgeous alone and required little decor to accentuate its perfection! Also greatly appreciate last minute help on hiccups from our venue coordinate Kennedy! There’s always a small bump in the road and ours was the WEEK BEFORE and she accommodated things so easily and relieved stress so quickly and kindly! Highly recommend! -

EVERYTHING from beginning to end was beautiful. Becky Banner, the staff, preferred vendors were TOP NOTCH! The curb appeal that Brighton Abbey offers draws you in from the gate. The ballroom chandeliers are breathtaking. My 50th Birthday and Retirement celebration was a evening I will never forget and Brighton Abbey was at the center of my happy moment! Brighton Abbey is the most beautiful venue we have ever seen. I am so glad that my husband and I chose this place. Every detail of the location is intentional and gorgeous . The chapel is extraordinarily breathtaking. The reception hall is elegant and just the perfect size. 100% of the wedding guests expressed how unique and magnificent Brighton Abbey is. This gem surpassed our expectations. The bridal and groom suites are perfect for photo and preparation needs. Jillian, the venue director, has been so helpful from beginning to end. She gave all the advice we needed that led to a very memorable wedding. Emily Nelson (the venue rep) was very helpful, accommodating, and nice. She made sure that the essentials were secured for and during the wedding. I felt comfortable throughout the process. Sought help when needed and Emily always responded on time and had suggestions/solutions! -

Brighton Abbey was all the sweet elegance and picturesque beauty in one little spot of North Texas. My decision in choosing this venue was for the gorgeous large windows in the chapel with the balcony area, it fills the chapel with natural light and no matter the time of day, the view is amazing inside and out. I loved the little courtyard in the center that was perfect for entertaining guests during cocktail hour as well as the reception hall that is on the other side. I wish I had gotten ready at the venue instead of the Air BNB that I got nearby (I wouldn't recommend it, especially if you are wanting to get ready there with a large group). Our dressing room was so cute! With a private bathroom, platform with a mirror and two double sided mirror stations for bridesmaids to get ready at. It was so nice to have between events during the wedding. The groom's room had some options for entertainment while they waited and roomy, with a great view of the courtyard. Finally, the thing that both my husband and I can agree on, was the staff and their eye for detail!! With the help of Emily Spinks, our event coordinator, she was there for us and helped with setting up our reception. We also liked that the beverage company that they use, all of our guests said great things about our bartender that night. He knew people by name and knew exactly what they wanted when they approached the bar. Emily helped out all our other vendors get settled and direct them as needed for our day. It was so much fun, not stressful, and such a beautiful place to be for a special day. Thank you so much! -

Stunning Venue!!
Brighton Abbey is truly a one of a kind venue with a style that is so hard to find in DFW. It is absolutely STUNNING and the staff is all incredible and so accommodating. The venue is so beautiful by itself that we hardly needed much in terms of decoration or over the top floral. We received compliments all night long on the venue and it really is a photographers dream venue! We worked with Holly Hinkle when booking the venue and she was our contact for the majority of the time leading up to our wedding day. Holly was so kind and always responded very quickly to all of my questions. We also worked with Emily Spinks for our final venue meeting and she was our venue coordinator on the day of. She is truly so genuine and wanted nothing but the best for our big day, which we really appreciated! Emily was so helpful the entire day of and was such a key part of making the day go seamlessly. Brighton Abbey made for an amazing backdrop on our wedding day and we would not change a thing! -

When I came across Brighton Abbey it was still under renovation and we were able to tour it before the finished outcome. The finished product was breathtaking. Since day one the team was responsive and easy to access. They were quick to communicate and offered outstanding help. Working with them was smooth and the location was ready and as lovely as it looks for our wedding day. Absolutely recommend it for an unforgettable modern, yet classic wedding. It's certainly a hidden treasure and breath of fresh air in the sea of barn venues in the DFW area! -

We celebrated the most perfect day at Brighton Abbey. From getting ready, to first looks, to dancing the night away - our wedding was absolutely perfect thanks to an amazing venue and staff. The chapel was the most beautiful setting to have our ceremony in and we danced the night away outside. Every amenity you could want or think of to help your wedding day go smoothly - Brighton Abbey provides or the staff helps make happen. Stunning!!
Get ready for my novel because OH MY GOODNESS I have nothing but amazing things to say about Brighton Abbey. My husband and I got married here in October 2020 and it is safe to say we were blown away. It is hard to put into words just how STUNNING this venue really is. The French castle theme was dreamy, the chapel was to die for, and the courtyard was just WOW. In addition, ladies if you are looking for a beautiful bridal suite this is it! I just cannot express enough how gorgeous and unique this place is. It had our guests talking about it nonstop and I'm pretty sure our photographer had a field day shooting here haha. I also can't forget the BA team who was so great to work with. I was a bride that really had no idea what I was doing (it does not come natural to me haha) but they stepped up to help me along the way -- huge shout out and thank you to Becky and Jillian who really made this day come together! We truly appreciate all they did to make our day perfect. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

We had our morning ceremony here this August, and it was truly breathtaking. From the very beginning, the team was so attentive. They answered all my questions, reassured me that the AV set up would work in the chapel, and even gave me a thorough tour beforehand. The small details like where everyone would stand, where our musicians could stand, and the gorgeous bridal suite made me feel so confident going into the big ceremony.
One of the thoughtful touches that stood out was the customized signage in our wedding’s theme color (light blue), which tied everything together beautifully. On the wedding day itself, they made the photo-taking process with our photographer and videographer smooth and efficient, which we really appreciated.
The chapel is stunning on its own, so we opted for minimal floral décor, paired with a live violinist—and it was perfect. The European chateau-style exterior made for gorgeous backdrops, and my family and guests gave tons of compliments. I also loved the bridal suite; it was spacious, elegant, and made getting ready such a memorable experience.
Overall, Brighton Abbey was professional, accommodating, and helped create the most magical setting for our wedding. We’re so grateful to have chosen this venue! -

This venue was beautiful. The staff keeps in contact with you throughout the process. Month of coordinator is a must. Venue can really be transformed into your own wedding vision. Alcohol does have to be purchased through the venue and it is a separate price. Bridal suite is a bit small but cozy. The new groom suite is spacious and fun, including a pool table and a golf area. 10 out of 10 would recommend -

Dreamy venue
BA is such a beautiful venue and had the most beautiful day at Brighton Abbey for our wedding. Katelyn was an excellent coordinator and I appreciated her great responsiveness and attention to detail in the process. We were one of the first weekend events to have access to their new courtyard structure and it's great for pics even if you have an indoor ceremony. For budget purposes, you could plan to at minimum rent chairs if you're not looking to use standard white ones that they have one hand. Everything else is really great! -

ATTENTION BRIDES!! This review is intended to bring attention to details lacking on Brighton Abbey’s (BA’s) part, prior to anyone signing a contract with them!! (1Star: Owner/Staff & 5 Star: Venue Esthetics)
To begin, every attempt was made to resolve issues through email with BA.
1. At our 30 day-out walk thru, we were told the guest limit was 175. Our signed contract stated a 200 guest limit. As of today, the BA website states it accommodates 200 guests. Traditionally, wedding invitations are sent out 60 days prior, which is when we mailed ours! The response from BA’s owner Becky, after the meeting, was that they “learned” guests were not comfortable in the wedding chapel with over 175 people.
2. Day of wedding (Sat. 12/2021): we enter the bridal suite at 9:00 am to a clogged & SMELLY bridal suite commode/bathroom, after paying for 4 extra hours to use the bridal suite in its entirety. The response from the front desk girl when told of the issue was “WE could email Laurina, our day of person.” Laurina was not scheduled to arrive at BA until 2:00 pm. Laurina, Becky (Owner) & Jillian (SM) were emailed by me, and the front desk girl after being told it was her job NOT mine! The toilet was never fixed, no attempt was made to unclog it, other than the gardener looking at it. A plumber was not called as the owner Becky “Felt it was impractical with you already getting ready in the bridal suite. We can’t help it if the day-before bridal party flushes a non-toilet item down the commode.” Seriously? So the rest of the weekend brides are just S.O.L. & made to endure the grossness and SMELL! Just FYI, the bridal suite bathroom is large. So a plumber could have easily gone in, shut the door to the bathroom and fixed the problem. The venue did NOT have supplies on hand to render the issue & smell.
3. The bride discovered the beautiful sliding glass door was missing upon entering the ballroom. We had planned on closing it and opening it upon the bride & grooms big entrance to the reception. When we asked the front desk girl about the missing door we received the same response “WE could email Laurina.” The response from Becky the owner was “It had been broken the week before, tried to replace it but could not have it back in time. If we knew it was such an important element of your daughters wedding day we would have told you about it.” They made NO attempt prior to the wedding to contact myself, the bride, or our wedding planners about the broken door. BRIDES, when you rent a venue you rent every element of the venue, if any element of the venue becomes unavailable it is the VENUE”S RESPONSIBILITY to contact all parties involved! They did not!
*That said, a few days after the wedding I contacted the owner by email and readdressed the issues. NO APOLOGIES were made at any time until I addressed that fact, and NO PRICE ADJUSTMENTS of extra hours WE PAID were refunded when asked, nor were they ever offered. Becky simply replied “Thanks for all the great advice. We will take it into consideration. Have a blessed day.” Our day-of venue person Laurina was overall delightful, however NEEDS to arrive earlier to handle issues that arise! The front desk person NEEDS to wear a smile and be helpful, not have an I DON’T CARE ATTITUDE! The owner needs to hire a PR person, as she is lacking in that area, & only escalates frustrations with her lack of genuine sincerity. **BRIDES, also note that should you break something or create an issue Brighton Abbey has no problem charging you for that, BUT if BA has issues or problems there apparently are ZERO refunds or consequences for them. *Make sure to have clauses added to your contracts BEFORE signing them, in regards to BA’s liability, problems that arise and issue some sort of compensation to you. That is good business practice!
Despite our frustrations with the venue & owner Becky, we did not let it take away from the irreplaceable moments of our daughter's wedding day! It was an absolutely beautiful & memorable day! Our guests were in awe of the venue!Brighton Abbey's reply:
We are glad to hear your guest were in awe with our venue! The Brighton Abbey team works diligently to make every brides experience wonderful. Unfortunately, life is not always perfect and things do happen that is out of our control. We did have one of our toilets get clogged at this wedding and were not able to get a plumber out immediately to fix it on a Saturday and we did have to just shut the door to that bathroom and the bridal party did have to utilize the other 3 toilets around the corner from the bridal suite. Also, she is correct we did have custom decorative barn doors added to this venue when we purchased it to enhance the entry into the reception area and yes the weekend before one of the guest at a wedding knocked barn doors off and shattered the glass. We ordered new custom doors immediately however, welcome to the world acquiring building materials are not easy to get quickly these days. I also feel that it is easy on the outside looking in to tell someone how they should run their business and what they should do in all situations. We spend a tremendous amount of time in this 7 day a week business with 8 hours in the middle of the night to clean and reset for the wedding the next day and make everything perfect. We have such a great group of ladies on our team that do their best to smile in all situations. To close, we hate that the clogged toilet and the broken barn door upset you so greatly. But is sounds like in the grand scheme of things your daughter had a beautiful wedding at Brighton Abbey. -

Natalie Sent on 08/24/2025Beautiful Venue, But Poor Management and Critical Failures Ruined Key Moments
We held our wedding at Brighton Abbey on June 28, 2025. While the venue itself is undeniably beautiful, our overall experience was marked by frustration and deep disappointment due to a series of major operational and communication failures that should never happen at a professional wedding venue — especially one charging premium prices.
Yes, the property is stunning. The architecture and scenery make for a beautiful backdrop, and that’s largely why we chose it. But unfortunately, the management and execution behind the scenes fell far below expectations. Here are the key issues:
1. Inadequate Air Conditioning — Guests Were Visibly Uncomfortable Despite multiple requests from our coordinators, staff failed to address the fact that the venue was uncomfortably hot. Well before the ceremony began, we asked the team to lower the AC, only to be told they couldn’t because the doors were open. My coordinator rightly pointed out that this wasn’t a valid excuse — guests need to come in through those doors. Only after pushing again did they say they would lower the AC. But during the ceremony, the space remained hot, and my coordinator had to go back yet again to demand action. At that point, someone finally went to adjust the thermostat — but by then, the ceremony was almost over. It became painfully clear that our initial request was brushed off. Guests were sweating and using fans — exactly the kind of distraction you don’t want on your wedding day. Side notes: the temperate was around 75-95 depends on the time of the day. majority id like 80ish.
2. Non-Functional Fridge and Freezer — Food and Drink Nearly Ruined This was completely unacceptable. We brought in dozens of sodas, five cakes, and our wedding cake. We placed the drinks in the refrigerator around 9:00 a.m., only to find that by 2:00 p.m., nothing was cold — and everything was soaking wet from condensation. We tried moving the drinks to the freezer near the ice machine, but the result was the same. By cocktail hour at 5:00 p.m., nothing was cold. Thankfully, I brought my own cooler and was able to use the venue’s ice to salvage the situation, or we would’ve been serving warm soda to our guests. Even worse, our cakes were delivered around 3:00 p.m., and by the time of the cake cutting at 8:00 p.m., they were melting and falling apart. The fridge was clearly non-functional, and that directly affected our desserts. For a venue that frequently hosts weddings, this kind of basic failure is completely inexcusable.
3. Projector Failure — Ruined a Critical, Emotional Moment My fiancé went out of his way to prepare a surprise video for me during the reception. He sent the video via direct text message to the number the venue provided on Friday morning at 11:00 a.m., and never received a confirmation. On the morning of the wedding, he handed over a USB copy in person and was told it would be tested and passed along to the assigned venue coordinator when she arrived at 2:00 p.m. At that same time, the staff immediately asked for and collected the cash payment for the projector rental.
When it came time to play the video (between 7:30–7:45 p.m.), it didn’t work. It took the staff nearly five minutes to troubleshoot the issue in front of our entire reception. The emotional surprise was lost in the confusion and delay. Based on what happened, we strongly suspect the video was never tested, despite their assurance earlier in the day. There was no sense of preparedness or urgency, and their response was telling.
The only acknowledgment we received was a brief, “Sorry the video didn’t play,” when we ran into the staff later that evening. No accountability, no follow-up, and no effort to make it right. This was a significant, planned moment in our reception — and it was completely mishandled.
4. Uninvolved and Unreliable Venue Coordinator Our assigned venue coordinator did not arrive until 2:00 p.m., even though we arrived at 9:00 a.m. to begin preparations. When she finally showed up, she didn’t greet us, check in, or even say congratulations. The only times I saw her were by chance — when she briefly apologized for the video and again at cleanup. Prior to the wedding, communication with the venue was spotty at best. Emails often went unanswered for days, and even when we did get replies, they frequently repeated questions we had already answered. It felt disorganized, impersonal, and unprofessional throughout the process.
5. Inflexible and Unreasonable Clean-Up Policy One final frustration came during clean-up. The venue coordinator informed us that we were not allowed to throw away our Amazon boxes in their on-site dumpster. We were told that because we "brought those boxes in," we had to take them with us. This was never communicated to us in advance, and frankly, it makes no sense.
We fully understood we were responsible for removing our décor and personal items, which we did. But being told we couldn’t dispose of empty Amazon boxes — after renting the venue and cleaning up thoroughly — felt unnecessarily rigid and unhelpful. If we follow that logic, does that mean we should also have taken home our empty cake boxes, soda packaging, and even used soda cans, just because they entered the venue with us? It was an unreasonable ask that added unnecessary stress to the end of a long day, and it left a negative final impression.
Final Thoughts: Brighton Abbey is a beautiful venue — but beauty alone is not enough. When a venue fails on essential logistics like temperature control, refrigeration, AV testing, communication, and basic hospitality, it directly impacts the success and enjoyment of a wedding day. What should have been joyful, seamless moments were instead clouded by stress and mismanagement.
We sincerely hope the venue takes this feedback seriously and makes meaningful improvements. Couples invest not just money, but trust and emotion into their wedding venue — and Brighton Abbey needs to deliver more than just pretty walls to earn that.
