We had an absolute blast! I worked with Becca for about a a year and half working on our wedding. This was a last minute venue find and what a gem it is. Their ceremony location is beautiful and their ballroom is amazing. You can really make it your own. The food is amazing, all my guests were beyond happy with their meals and drinks. The staff were very kind and accommodating and they really make you feel special and taken care of. I wish I could have another wedding there, haha! We had our wedding at this venue this past summer and had the pleasure of having Becca as both our planner and day of coordinator. Throughout the planning process, she helped tremendously with strong communication and flexibility to ensure we had our perfect day at an affordable rate! She was very insightful, providing suggestions for some of the decisions that we were uncertain about. The day of the wedding, Becca went above and beyond to make sure everything went as planned and was prepared to help with any last minute adjustments. Dream Wedding 11.17.2023
Th second my husband and I stepped foot into Harbor Lights, we knew it was where we wanted to get married. From the amazing views right on the water to the beautiful reception space, it was everything we were looking for and more.
From the beginning working with Maxine and Avery was a dream. They were so attentive and quick to respond to my many questions. Their expertise and guidance really made me feel at ease leading up to the big day.
Our actual wedding day was better than we could have ever hoped for (thank you Mother Nature for a 60 degree day mid-November). Our guests to this day rave about how great the food was during cocktail hour as well as the plated dinner during the reception. We even had our photographer and videographer comment that they have never seen a wedding run so smoothly. And that was all thanks to the amazing team at Harbor Lights! I could not recommend Harbor Lights more as a wedding venue!! -

My wedding day was perfect and everything I dreamed of. I had our rehearsal dinner, ceremony and reception at Harbor Lights. Everything ran smoothly, the service was exceptional, the food delicious. Our guests raved about the food! The scenery for our pictures were beautiful. From the docks on the ocean to the barn by the pond, everything is there. I considered hiring a day of coordinator but am glad I didn't because Maxine took care of everything. The entire day ran on schedule. What's more, she assisted through the entire event planning process. She always returned my calls/emails in a timely manner and addressed my questions and shared really great ideas with me. I was not disappointed and am so happy I had my wedding there! -

As soon as we toured Harbor Lights, we knew it was where we wanted to be married. The venue is beautiful and has an amazing ceremony location right by the water. The staff are all incredibly friendly and experts at their jobs. We had the pleasure of working with Maxine, who was super helpful throughout the entire planning process. She made the planning process really easy and offered recommendations for anything we were unsure of. They are very accommodating and will help you bring your wedding vision to life.
We cannot recommend Harbor Lights enough! Our wedding was perfect thanks to them. -

We are so happy that we chose Harbor Lights for our wedding venue. From start to finish, everything was perfect. We mainly worked with Tie, and she was fantastic with keeping track of all the details and promptly responding to any questions or concerns we had. Her constant positivity and attention to detail ensured that we enjoyed our wedding day without worry. Our guests raved about the hors d’oeuvres and enjoyed their meals. The rooms and the patio were set up perfectly and everyone loved being able to use the driving range during our cocktail hour. We would definitely recommend having your wedding at Harbor Lights! -

Best Decision We Made For Our Wedding!
We worked with Tie for about two years leading up to our wedding. She was so amazing through all the ups and downs of planning a wedding during a pandemic! She was always responsive and very accommodating with our schedule since we planned this out of state. Our bridal parties loved her too. Her energy and commitment to her job made the rehearsal and day of go smoothly. Her supporting staff the day of was also great. The venue itself was beautiful and everyone raved about the food. Couldn't ask for more than that! -

Felt like a princess all night
At first had a couple bumps in the road but they sure knew how to make it up to me. Maxine and her coworker made me feel like a princess all night. They made sure I always had a drink in my hand or at my table and that my husband and I were happy. Food was amazing and if I asked them to jump they would’ve said how high. I never felt more important in my life then the way these girls made me feel. -

Our wedding was amazing. Tie th event coordinator made my day run smoothly. Never did I have to worry about anything. She was responsive to all my emails with questions and setting up appointments. The venue is beautiful and well kept. The staff were all amazing and did everything they could to make sure we had everything we needed. I'd recommend this place to anyone who asks. Nothing but rave reviews from us and all our guests -

Choosing Harbor Lights as our venue was the best choice. You get the ocean view, golf course and marina all in one! There are so many stunning spots on property and the room is also gorgeous. We mainly worked with Tie throughout our experience and she was phenomenal. She was always quick to respond and was always on top of her game. Due to COVID we had to reschedule our wedding for a year later and she made that transition seamless. On the day of the wedding we worked with Kate and she was also excellent. Every single person I talked to the day of my wedding (wait staff, bartender, etc) were amazing! The food was incredible and I got so many compliments from guests about it! I would absolutely recommend Harbor Lights. -

Harbor lights was the easiest and best decision when picking our wedding venue.
From the first day walking around and seeing how beautiful it is to then sitting down with Tie to discuss the options she made it so fun and enjoyable.
We booked right before covid hit for April 2021. I had so many questions this past year, while Tie was dealing with plenty of other brides she always answered all questions quickly and made it less stressful.
The day before our wedding we met with Lauren to drop off and she was the absolute best to work with that day and day of wedding. Her and Tie handled everything perfectly and so beautifully.
The ENTIRE staff working the wedding was incredible. And the food was unbelievable!
10/10 recommend Harbor Lights for anyone looking for a beautiful wedding with the best staff!! -

My husband and I got married in September 2020 at Harbor Lights. I emailed Tie and told her that I was looking for a small wedding ceremony and a venue, and she responded right away that they have a mini package that is perfect for what I'm looking for. She was very accommodating from the very beginning until our wedding day. It ended up raining on our day but she made sure that everything is perfect. She worked so hard to make our wedding day extra special. Our guests loved the food and the raspberry lemon cake! I would highly recommend Harbor Lights and Tie is the best! -

My husband and I cannot say enough about our experience with Harbor Lights! From the moment we met Tie, our wedding coordinator, she made us feel welcome and at home. She was a big part of the reason why we chose Harbor Lights as our venue and we could not be happier. We were looking for a setting that had a little bit of everything. During our selection process we visited many other great spots. Once we reviewed what all the venues had to offer, staff, location, views etc. it was a no brainer, we chose Harbor lights. From our initial inquiry until the big day, Tie was very attentive and enthusiastic. All our many questions were answered thoroughly; and she always responded to our emails right away.
We had our ceremony on the premises which is a beautiful location right on the water. You can imagine how the stunning sunset behind us during the ceremony added to our perfect day! Before the ceremony, we found multiple charming spots on the property where we were photographed. Our first look was on the docks which was intimate and unforgettable! Cocktail hour was both outside and inside taking advantage of the great scenery and weather. Our guests really enjoyed that time! We also cannot say enough about the food selection, quality, and service offered at Harbor Lights. Between the cocktail hour appetizers and dinner entrees, our guests were raving about how delicious the food was. How can you go wrong with Lobster on a potato chip?! We were pleasantly surprised and thankful about how reasonably priced the day was at Harbor lights.
Even though our reception was inside, the ballroom is all windows creating a great vibe with a spectacular view of the harbor. Tie took great care designing and setting up the room capturing our vision. Throughout the day, Tie and the rest of the staff were by our side for whenever we needed them and effortlessly guided us through the day. As you can imagine, especially during Covid times, they were honest and reassuring. Our wedding day turned out to be absolutely beautiful and perfect! From the bottom of our hearts we cannot thank Tie and Harbor Lights enough for making this possible!! -

My husband and and I were married on 10/4/2020 at Harbor Lights. It is a beautiful venue! We had our ceremony outdoors on the property and our reception indoors. Everything was perfect! My husband and I had no worries on our day, because we had Tie Cole by our sides! She is truly Amazing! One of the most dedicated and hard working people I've ever met. She truly loves what she does and I knew this from the moment I spoke with her. We couldn't have asked for a more AMAZING day, venue, and coordinator! -

Perfect Venue
I had a destination wedding in RI and did most of my research online where I found Harbor Lights. When we went down to RI this was our first stop on my list of venues to check out. Immediately we knew that this was our venue. We only looked here and we are so glad we chose Harbor Lights. You cannot beat the price of this venue for the stunning views and food. The food was amazing especially the lobster mac and cheese! Jessica was the absolute best. She answered all of my questions and made us feel special on our wedding day. We did not have a first look and she made sure we got our hor devours and drinks during cocktail hour. We opted for a bucket of golf balls during cocktail hour which kept our guests entertained while we took our pictures. We also brought our own corn hole that was set up on the lawn for guest to play during cocktail hour. When the best man lost our vows Jessica and her team kept me calm and printed them out for me from their office. As soon as the ceremony ended she had beers and hard seltzer ready for the bridal party which was an perfect surprise! They have a golf cart that carted the bridal party all around the grounds so we didn't have to walk around in heels which was a huge plus.They also allowed us to have our dog in the wedding. I didn't have to worry about a thing because I knew the Harbor Lights team would take care of it. We had the most beautiful wedding and can't thank Harbor Lights enough!Harbor Lights's reply:

When looking for the perfect venue, Harbor Lights hit all of our goals: the beautiful ceremony location overlooking the bay, the reception hall that has views of the water, and the price that fit in our budget with our expected guest numbers! The food was fantastic and well prepared! Hannah was our coordinator and she did such a wonderful job from the tour to the big day. When we had conflicts come up, Hannah was quick to respond back and more than willing to try to help us out. The team at Harbor Lights did more than enough to make sure that the day went smoothly especially when problems arose. All of our guests had nothing but great things to say about the location, the food, the sunset and the venue itself! We were even given a free game of golf the next day! We happily recommend Harbor Lights to anyone looking for that affordable venue by the water! -
Amanda Sent on 08/08/2018My husband and I got married at Harbor Lights on 7/22/18. Jessica was amazing! She was given our wedding day to cover with only a few months to go and she could not have helped to make our day more amazing than we ever could have imagined! The weather did not cooperate with us to get married outside but the inside ceremony was more intimate. We decided on a first look and Jessica helped us get some beautiful pictures on the docks for that moment while the rain held off. The ballroom itself is already beautiful but everyone on staff makes it even more beautiful for the ceremony! They flipped the room so quickly for our reception during cocktail hour. We rented the driving range for the cocktail hour and it was a huge hit with our guests! Chef Ray Fiske is a food genius! I have been to weddings that the food is good but the meats cooked are dried out. THIS IS NOT THE CASE AT HARBOR LIGHTS! All of the meats, whether during cocktail hour or the reception dinner, were over the top good! We invited some people who are very picky about food and they are still talking about how good all of the food was. On top of it all tasting good, the portions are more than enough! Everyone left stuffed! When it comes to the bride and groom sometimes not getting to eat enough on their wedding day, they make sure that does NOT happen. During cocktail hour, because we were a part of it with the first look, we had a server come and find both of us with an entire plate of hors-d'oeuvres just for us. Also, during the reception, they make sure they keep your food warm until you are ready to eat it and make sure that you actually go to eat it. I will definitely recommend Harbor Lights to everyone I know for any type of function!! Thank you all for such an amazing wedding day.

Kathleen Sent on 07/25/2018Harbor Lights made our special day perfect! Our wedding was on July 14th of this year and we cannot come up with anything we would change. Harbor Lights staff were amazing. They were polite, energetic, and happy to assist with whatever request thrown at them. Hannah and Barbara were amazing, calming, and flexible. My guest could not get over how beautiful the venue was as well as how delicious the food was. My husband and I rented the driving range for cocktail hour and it was a huge success. We cannot thank Harbor Lights enough for helping create such good memories.

I researched many reception venues in RI, MA and CT, looking for a beautiful location, with remarkable food and a reasonable cost. My husband and I chose a winter wedding at Harbor Lights after seeing the breathtaking grounds and meeting the very personable staff. From the moment we met Hannah Marshall, our wedding coordinator, she went over every single detail and put our minds at ease. From giving me advice, to answering every single email in a timely manner, to purchasing dairy free ice cream for me (food allergies), and fixing my bustle throughout the night....she made the night perfect. Hannah and the staff at Harbor Lights worked closely with our photographer, DJ and videographer, and their professionalism is unmatched in my opinion. It happened to snow a significant amount on the day of or wedding, and Hannah and the staff made the night safe for all of our guests. Our guests continue to to rave about the beauty of the venue, and the absolutely amazing food. The bar area and outside patio (with a fire pit!) added to the ambiance and gave our guests room to move around. Right down to the restrooms, Harbor Lights is impeccible and our wedding guests were comfortable and wowed. I truly cannot recommend Harbor Lights, and Hannah Marshall, highly enough to do justice to our experience and how pleased we were and are.

Although we worked with four different event coordinators throughout this time, the wedding day and night went off without a hitch. The food was delicious and I am still receiving compliments from my guests!

We just got married on Sept 3 2016 and it is scary how amazing and perfect everything was! Tiesha was our contact and she was born into her role! She was so accommodating and made us feel welcomed and we trusted her from the moment we met her. She truly saw to it that our day was flawless, and if there were any issues we would never know! Her entire staff was AWESOME. I wish we could have a wedding every year at Harbor Lights! Haha! Truly a day we will never forget and we cant thank you enough, Harbor Lights. Julie Sent on 10/15/2014My husband & I are more than pleased with our choice to hold our wedding at Harbor Lights Marina & Country Club. Our wedding was truly magnificent. Ilana was wonderful to work with and her response time to email/phone calls, etc. was superb. Kelley, our go to gal the day off was also on point and a joy to work with. I can not say enough about the venue itself...we got married by the water (with out the price tag of a Newport wedding), our cocktail hour was hosted on the back patio overlooking the golf course and our reception was in their brand new, tastefully decorated function room. We entertained 112 with a 7 piece band and we all danced, mingled and ate very comfortably at our tables. I can not say enough about how wonderful our day was. We looked at venues in Newport, Portsmouth, etc. I am more than pleased with our decision to host our wedding at Harbor Lights!Harbor Lights's reply:

Sophia Sent on 08/13/2014So I'll start this review with my Fiance's remarks as we left this place (keep in mind, he's really hard to please): Laughing, he says "Looks like we can have it all". Here's why that's impressive. We looked around countless venues in Rhode Island and Mass. For some reason, even the most expensive places we visited just didn't have that X factor that we were looking for. I had to "give" on at least 1 expectation I had, like a rain back up plan, a grand entrance for an outdoor wedding, etc. My fiancé told me I'd have to be "realistic" and not every place would have everything to my standards. When we toured HL, we were blown away. They have TWO rain back up plans (tent the outdoor ceremony, or move the ceremony indoors to the Grand Ball Room). They have a Grand Staircase outside leading up to the gorgeous wedding terrace so I still get my grand entrance. The have a gorgeous grand staircase inside as well. The lighting inside is amazing - chandeliers and ambiance everywhere you look. You can't take a bad photo. The groomsmen will play golf on the course while my girls and I take over the unbelievably gorgeous Bridal Suite. The food is killer! The staff is amazing. Ilana Rubin is the coordinator. She's made everything easy and (believe it or not) actually fun for me! She is so professional and quick to respond. The lighting in the Grand Ball Room is just phenomenal for pictures. We were a little worried before viewing, because the place is new. But the new owner essentially tore down and tore out the old Seaside venue and rebuilt everything from scratch with extreme elegance. The photographs they have up here don't do the place justice (even tho these photos are pretty too). Every detail is carefully and perfectly put together in this place. Highly recommend. If you are serious about finding a venue, I'd reach out for info pretty quick tho. HL has been putting out amazing wedding here and the place is booking up really quicklyHarbor Lights's reply:

We can’t thank Julia Bush and Harbor Lights staff enough. Our daughter and son in law had their dream wedding there. The views are spectacular, but more importantly, the day—from pre-wedding pictures, to the ceremony, to the cocktail hour, to the reception—ran flawlessly. We met with Julia Bush about a year before the wedding day where she outlined all the options and costs, so there were no surprises and we had a very good idea of the cost. She continued to meet with us and answer our questions leading up to the wedding, with one big meeting 3 months out and another one month out, plus all the other questions and answers in between. We went over every possible detail with her. She made it easy. Then on the wedding day, it was just perfect. Everyone loved the setting, the cocktail hour with the availability of the driving range (a big hit), the reception room, and their meals. It was over before we knew it and so happy we booked there. Highly recommend.

Overall, our experience here was a 10 out of 10. Rebekah was amazing throughout the whole entire process. I was very much a DIY bride and the amount of stuff I brought Becca never said No! She just made it happen. Allie was our day of coordinator and she made sure that all of my designs were followed through and more importantly that we ate. She also made sure that things were handled without stressing out the bride. We also had a family friend make our cake and our coordinators were the ones to point out that the groom couldn’t eat it due to allergies. Everything for the most part is included, which makes things easy for not having to find a caterer or bar service. The food was amazing. My only complaint is I felt like the reception was rushed due to the time constraints we were given. If we had just even another hour I feel as though it would have been better.Harbor Lights's reply:

Beautiful venue
We had both our wedding and bridal shower at Harbor lights and the venue did not disappoint. Beautiful water views and you can’t beat that sunset. We were let down twice by a stylist we hired for a photobooth wall & the staff saved the day, which we were extremely grateful for. Maxine was attentive and answered all my questions from the beginning. Our outdoor ceremony went perfectly and the reception was spacious. Perfect place for an easygoing wedding! -

I've heard that Harbor Lights is a hidden gem as far as Rhode Island wedding venues go, but I'm not sure how it can be. The facility is beautiful and elegant. The weather in April in New England is incredibly unpredictable, so while I liked that Harbor Lights had an outdoor space for the ceremony, it was also very important to me that that the entire wedding could be indoors if possible. It rained and that is what we ended up doing, but everything was beautiful and there were still a bunch of places where we could take photos safe from the rain. The food at Harbor Lights is delicious and I think high end for a wedding venue. During the planning process the folks in the events office were super responsive and helpful and the girls who were there on the day of the event were amazing. We did have a couple issues with the bar but we brought them up to the staff after the wedding and they were effectively resolved. I would highly recommend Harbor Lights! -

We are so happy we chose Harbor Lights for our wedding this March! Jessica is the best and so sweet. She is accommodating and always responds quickly no matter my questions. The venue is beautiful and I know our day will be perfect with Jessica on our team! I was recently told by a friend who attended a wedding there that the food was delicious and the venue is so nice! I will update soon!
