Authentic, Beautiful, and Unforgettable Wedding Memories
We cannot recommend Xuong and Happy Photos highly enough. From our engagement session through our wedding day, Xuong brought such a natural energy and creativity that made every photo feel authentic, emotional, and uniquely personal to us.
He has an incredible talent for capturing genuine moments; the anticipation and emotion during our first look, the excitement of getting ready, the joy shared with our family and friends, and all of the small in-between moments that made the day unforgettable. Nothing ever felt overly posed or staged. Xuong made everyone feel comfortable and natural in front of the camera, which truly shows in the photos.
He also went above and beyond throughout the day, even arranging flowers around our cake and styling special details to create beautiful and memorable shots we would not have thought of ourselves. He had so many creative ideas for both candid moments and organized group photos, helping guests interact naturally while still making sure every important memory was captured.
One especially meaningful touch was the framed engagement photo that guests signed during the reception, which Xuong prepared and had ready in time for the wedding day. Guests also loved the digital display of our weddding photos shown during the reception, which added such a personal element to the celebration.
The memories Xuong captured are truly priceless, and we will cherish them forever. His professionalism, creativity, and genuine passion for his work made such a difference in our experience, and we are so grateful we chose Happy Photos for our wedding photography.

Xuong with happy photos took our engagement photos and they turned out beautifully. He was a pleasure to work with and he really took the time to make sure we were getting what we wanted. -

Xuong and Margie are very professional and easy to work with! Xuong's photography skills are amazing... Til this day my wedding photos and engagement photos still get alot of compliments (This year will be my 10 year wedding anniversary). When it came to my photos I wanted to make sure they were perfect and it was well worth every penny that I spent to get photographed by Happy Photos. My advice is that you make sure you tell them exactly what you want (Don't be shy) and understand the total cost of your entire package. -

I can't speak highly enough about Happy Photos. Our wedding was in 2005 but we've staying in contact with Xuong ever since. They made our wedding day so easy. They let us know what to expect before hand and were a key part of making the day so great.
I should also point out that they're very patient. I might be the worst person to photograph ever. During our engagement photo session, we took photos at the beach in Corona del Mar. For whatever reason, my eyes were closed in nearly every shot but Xuong hung in there (way longer than I would have if I were him) and was able to get some amazing photos that are in our home to this day.
If you're looking for photographers, make sure to meet with them. You'll see, like we did, that they're amazing photographers and even better people. -

Happy photos has always provided the most wonderful pictures for our families. We have used them for our engagement pictures, wedding as well as other family members weddings, birth pictures, birthday pictures and more. They capture the feeling you and your guests have on those special days. -

I was originally having a small wedding and using a family friend but after meeting Xuong and having him explain what my photographer needs to know about my specific venue had me scared. What if it came out bad? What if she doesn't know how to film with glass everywhere. My fiancé decided that maybe we should go with Xuong. I just left my engagement shoot and I am beyond happy I went with happy photos. He knew my other concerns and went out of his way to find me help to make sure my special day is perfect. He made us feel really comfortable and walked us through every step! He will definitely be my future photographer for every journey I am about to endure. Wedding, maternity, family, holidays etc... I recommend him to everyone!!! -

Working with Happy Photos was a wonderful experience. There are no words to describe the beauty that Xuong created in our pictures. If you want someone who puts his heart and soul into every image he shoots, this is that man. The softness and love was delivered in each photo. Our engagement book came out unbelievable. Everyone at our wedding was impressed and could only say they have never seen such amazing work. We can't wait to see our wedding pictures. Your the best Xuong.

I can't say enough good things about our photographers from Happy Photos. They were so great to work with! They were both so friendly and shared in the joy of the day. They were terrific with the kids, moving large groups around, and accommodating changes in the timeline on the fly. They really thought on their feet and worked hard to make the night go seamlessly. And like great photographers … they worked quietly and were hardly seen -- true photo ninjas! They did an incredible job! -

I seriously love the Happy Photos whole team! They are extremely professional, understanding, friendly, and personable! They have seriously turned into apart of our family. Xuong was amazing!!! He was so easy to work with. He was never pushy (like some photographers can be). He even came out the next morning to take additional pictures. Happy Photos was the best! I would recommend them to anyone.
What blew me away is he had a slideshow within moments that our guest could view during the reception. Two words...Simply Wonderful... -

I HIGHLY reccomend happy photos! Xuong & his team are so awesome! They listen to exactly what you want & the results are gorgeous. Xuong went out of his way to make sure my husband & I were happy at all times. The amount & quality of his pictures are unbelievable. As a bride, I did a lot of research to find the perfect photographer. All the time paid off! I couldn't be happier! He got every shot I needed & was very quick with sending me all of the images. Xuong and his team at Happy Photos really made our day. They were very professional and we didn't have to worry about a thing. We were married in Balboa Park in San Diego and he was able to take pictures at many of the wonderful spaces there. We were really impressed with Happy Photos! -

He was great to work with, patient with us as well as our crazy wedding guest. He knows how to position you and your significant other in just the right way so that he can get the perfect shot. We came to Happy Photos after my cousin used Happy Photos for her wedding. Xoung is so easy to work with and an amazing photographer. Xoung took our engagement pictures and those came out great! At the wedding we had two photographers and they were there basically there entire night taking tons of pictures but were never in anyones way. I'm glad we used Happy Photos! -

Xuong is amazing, the photos that I have from my wedding are absolutely breathtaking! I cannot wait to send them to all my extended family and friends who were not able to make the trip out to California. He really listened to what type of look and feel I wanted and the pictures proved it. -

Xoung was a great photographer. He was very flexible with our engagement photo session (we kept cancelling and rescheduling). On our wedding day he showed up an hour early and began taking photos. He was also very patient with all the girls and I because we took so long to get ready, we were an hour off schedule! During the reception he had set up a screen with the engagement photos, post-ceremony/pre-ceremony photos, everyone loved them and they were beautiful! He was never in the way of any dancing or major events, but got great photos of all of them! And every time I asked him for a specific photo, he would gather all the people for me. Overall, great photographer, very patient and helpful! -

I am glad that I chose Happy Photos because Xuong our photographer was great and the photographs are beautiful! It was a pleasant experience because he would answer my excess number of calls and emails and always seemed so helpful. Xuong was also easy to work with and gave us exaclty what we wanted. Also, it is a good thing that he only does photography because he does it very well. -

Xuong and Margie, with Happy Photos, are very personable and easy to work with. The engagement shoot was relaxed and fun! Xuong made my husband and I feel comfortable the entire time. At the wedding, he did not seem to miss a beat. We have lots of pictures from the reception and ceremony. He took great details pictures of the food, table settings and decor. My only concern was that we only had 2 hours before the ceremony to take pictures of the entire bridal party, the bride and our "first look". I would recommend requesting a little more time for this. -

Not everyone will have the perfect experience with their wedding photographer. Think about it. For just about every photographer there will be cases where things just don’t work out well. That was my case with my wedding photographer, Xuong with Happy Photos. I have been frustrated from the day of my wedding, 08/04/12, to today. As others have posted, it was not clear that I would not receive the raw files of any of my wedding photos. Xuong wants an additional 2k to be paid for me to receive my raw files. If he gave me the files, I would be happy to order prints and albums from him, but as it is we won’t be ordering hardly anything and he ends up receiving less money from us in the end. There were other little things. My promised online wedding gallery has been down for the last 6 months. Twice when I went to meet Xuong in his office I had to wait 15 minutes for him to arrive in the building, this with an appointment. None of this compares to how I feel about the actual pictures themselves. I truly feel they are unoriginal and posed. No creative shots. No black and white shots. Nothing quirky. Nothing unexpected, nothing out of the ordinary. The pictures also do not look edited at all; it looks as if he just took the files from his camera and uploaded them without changing anything. I look washed out. The colors are not vibrant. In one of the photos there was a red stain on my dress which is not edited out. I specifically remember on my wedding day him laughing, assuring me it would be edited out. It is not. I have sat in Xuong’s office and clearly explained my displeasure to him and he has not done anything about it. I do not understand how he can see that I was unhappy with my wedding photographs and not offer to do anything about it. What I am saying should not come as a surprise to him because I have explained all of this to him already. It has been almost a year since my wedding and I have had plenty of time to ponder the photos. -
