My husband and I used Hannah Butts for an engagement shoot and wedding shoot. Hannah was so incredible to work with the whole time and we both felt very comfortable with her. From start to finish, she was very communicative and truly helped bring our vision to life. She was additionally knowledgeable of DC venues for our engagement shoot and managed to make a rainy winter morning look gorgeous! On the wedding day, Hannah was great at getting every shot and helping direct us. She also was completely on board with creating a shared vision -- filmy looks/black & white were on our list, and she made sure to create ample photographs in the varied styles we talked through! Hannah nailed our wedding in stills, and is a great person to work with!! -

My husband and I used Hannah Butts for our engagement photo shoot and our wedding. Hannah did an incredible job with both. We cannot recommend her strongly enough. She provided great feedback on the engagement plan, pointing out that there was scaffolding on the Lincoln Memorial (the original plan) and suggesting the Jefferson Memorial instead. She worked around the crowds at the Jefferson Memorial and had a sneak preview set of pictures over to us later the same evening.
For the wedding, she was again such a professional. She arrived 15 minutes early and was on for 10 hours straight. She efficiently worked through portraits with every permutation of 13 family members and 11 friends. She got us 77 stunning sneak preview photos within 48 hours of the wedding. The day was beautiful, but Hannah managed to make it look positively ethereal and magazine-worthy. Hannah was also just a delight to work with through all our planning and photographing - upbeat and uplifting. -

We couldn't be happier with our decision to book La Vie En Rose, and more specifically Sarah, as our August 2024 wedding photographer. From start to finish, communication with Sarah was seamless and efficient, which made the entire process stress-free. Sarah is so kind and professional, and made us comfortable in front of the camera. We couldn't believe it when we received an email *3* weeks after our wedding with our full album. Hannah, Danny (videographer), and the rest of their team came highly recommended, and they still exceeded our expectations! First, outstanding customer service: responsiveness (emails and otherwise), very helpful / collaborative in brainstorming the "what, where, and when" aspects of the engagement photos, easy personalities that made it pleasant to actually have our pictures taken (and more comfortable beforehand), and great at blending into the crowd during the wedding / reception picture taking (not "in our face" while we were enjoying the party). Second, great pictures - extremely pleased with the quality, artistry, and the variety of pictures received, both formal and candid. We cannot express the joy and happiness we felt as we reviewed all of the pictures – absolutely stunning! Finally, amazing teamwork - Hannah and her team very clearly worked well together. allowing for relatively quick formal pictures and full coverage of the party for the candid pictures. Thank you, Hannah and Danny for the amazing pictures and the exceptional experience! -

Stunning photos with the best photographers
Where do I even begin- from start to finish Cassie and the team were unbelievable! The most stunning wedding photos. Cassie is truly the kindest and best photographer giving me the photos I could only dream of! The pictures for both engagement and wedding photos came back super quick- not to mention beautiful. The communication was always speedy and I loved I could ask ahead of time for specific pictures or get her take on shots I wanted! -

Where can we begin??! We have worked with Sarah Mills as our lead photographer for our engagement photos and wedding. Sarah is kind, attentive, sweet and responsive to email/phone calls. It was so easy to work with Sarah and she made everything so smooth and made sure we have the best experiences front of cameras. We are so happy with how our photos and you can see our families, friends, guests' emotions just looking at photos. It was the best decision to hire La Vie En Rose (especially Sarah Mills) for our photographers and we get to keep our timeless, elegant, romantic photos for forever. Sarah Mills is such an artist! She's also an angel of a human! I am so glad that she had availability to shoot our wedding and engagement session and I'm so thankful she was so patient with us (there were moments of indecisiveness re: locations etc on our part) and easy to work with! Sarah was so responsive to every e-mail and she was so calm and calming. Sarah was one of the first vendors I hired when we began our wedding planning journey, so I feel like she's really been through the ups and downs of planning with us! I was worried about how the photos would turn out, not because I had any doubt in Sarah, but because I was worried that we would inherently look awkward in photos. Let me tell you, Sarah makes you feel calm and relaxed. I was honestly SHOCKED by the pictures she took when we had no idea she was shooting. The moments she captured are so beautiful and intimate-- we will treasure them forever. If you're looking for a photographer to capture your day I would wholeheartedly recommend Sarah Mills--- I'm so grateful we had her for her personality, her aesthetic, and her talent! -

Cassie was our photographer for our engagement shoot and our wedding. She is an utmost professional! Super organized. Very patient. An excellent communicator and a talented artist.
During our engagement shoot, Cassie hit every location we had requested and even worked with us to get through 2 outfit changes and some shots with our pup.
During our wedding, we had a wash out with rain all day! I was super bummed about not being able to get any outdoor photos in the beautiful grounds and gardens at my venue. But Cassie worked to make sure we still had tons of beautiful photos delivering over 1,000 photos to me in under 3 weeks from my wedding! Incredible! Working with her was so easy and I really appreciated her calm energy on my wedding day. It is exactly what you need. I recommend her and the LVER team without any hesitation! -

We got married in St. John USVI and had the opportunity to work with Hannah. I can attest to a lot of what others have already said about Hannah being personable, totally lovely to be around, professional, managing to be friendly all the way through, even when--especially when talking about the business aspect of the experience. But what I loved the most about working with Hannah was 1. it helped that she was totally hyping up myself and my husband (who is SO awkward and stiff in photos) which gave even him the confidence to act natural in the photos, but 2. When I saw our highlights (which were SO timely, everyone wants to see photos asap after their wedding, but it's realistic to have to wait months, so I wasn't expecting to get to see so much so soon after the day) I feel like I fell in love with the freckles on my arms, and my skin, and myself, like she really made us look our bests and captured everything beautiful about us, and I got to see it. I have never had a photography experience like that--so powerful that it shifted my perspective on myself.
I would fly to washington dc or naples to work with her again, I would recommend her to anyone who wants to look their best in their photos.
I feel like I can't say enough amazing things about the La Vie En Rose team. -

We had the best experience working with Cassie, Hannah, and Sarah! First and foremost, our wedding photographs are STUNNING. They are timeless, they are romantic, and they capture every moment of our wedding day so beautifully. My jaw literally dropped when I saw them! Second, this team is awesome! I had a few friends tell me before I started planning that choosing your wedding photographer was such an important decision because they will likely be with you and your partner more than anyone else on that day. We had the pleasure of spending our wedding day with Cassie and Sarah and they were such a joy to work with! We had our first consultation with Hannah who is absolutely amazing and leaves no question unanswered on how the process works and shares so much excitement in your vision for the big day. We then had Cassie as our lead photographer and, once again, amazing! Throughout the entire process, and especially during our engagement session and wedding day, Cassie was so professional, optimistic, flexible, happy, hard-working, and really genuinely kind. And we were lucky enough to have Sarah as our second photographer and, not surprinsgly, she was also amazing! At one point, she was literally running around to track down a blanket for me to wrap up in between shots on our November wedding day. Their team brought so much positive energy and enthusiasm for our wedding, I loved it! And finally, this team’s planning process…INCREDIBLE! Even throughout the craziness of a postponed wedding because of Covid, they were so prepared – there were quite a few times I felt like I had a second wedding coordinator in them. Every email was immediately answered with such thoroughness, every call left me stress-free and thankful to have them on our team, and in the months leading up to our wedding, there was never a concern on if they had everything on their end ready. Cassie planned out every detail well in advance and was super flexible when it came to making any last minute changes. And when we decided to postpone our wedding, Hannah was so helpful and supportive as we discussed whether to do a small ceremony or postpone it all. I cannot say enough good things - this team is seriously unmatched!! They deliver the best experience and the best photos, highly highly recommend! -

I truly cannot say enough good things about Cassie and the entire team! We had to postpone our wedding twice due to COVID, and they were so kind, flexible, and communicative throughout. We truly felt that they had our best interests at heart! When we finally got to meet Cassie at our engagement shoot, she instantly made us feel at ease with her. We knew that we were in the best possible hands on our wedding day, so we were able to really relax and trust Cassie and her process. She got us a sneak peek incredibly quickly after the wedding, and the photos are jaw-droppingly gorgeous! We are so happy that we chose Cassie to capture our wedding, and that we'll have her beautiful photos to look back on in the years to come. -

We can't thank Hannah and Cassie enough! We were lucky to be able to work with Hannah for our engagement photos and Cassie for our wedding and they were both fantastic. Cassie's energy throughout the wedding day was so relaxed and made us feel so comfortable in front of the camera. The photos are stunning and she even managed to capture AMAZING pictures of us with our very wiggly and excited puppy. It's less than a month after our wedding and we received ALL of our pictures. Hannah is a good friend of ours and an incredibly talented photographer, so having her photograph our wedding was an easy choice. Having Hannah take our engagement pictures was the best decision we made during our wedding planning process. She took two people who felt awkward in front of the camera and led us through poses that resulted in the most light, classic, romantic, natural-looking photos! She absolutely captured the vibe of our hometown in Florida and we can't wait to decorate our first home with photos from that shoot. Working with Hannah was an absolute no brainer for me. I came across Hannah's work about a year ago and loved it so much, I applied for an internship with her. In January 2018 I became her intern (yay!) and by May we were talking about training to be her associate photographer. Strangely enough, I got engaged in March and KNEW I had to have Hannah as our wedding photographer. From our engagement photos to our wedding photos, we were absolutely 100% satisfied and obsessed with the final product. Hannah makes you feel like a million bucks while taking your photos and even surprised us less than a week after our wedding with a sneak peak gallery of 300 gorgeous photos. Her editing style is beautiful and full of grace! Her work captured the story of our love that we will cherish for years to come. You will not be disappointed by her work! Hannah was our wedding photographer this October and to say we loved her is an understatement. From the first time we met her we instantly clicked and knew she would be perfect for us. She is so bubbly and fun to work with and makes you feel 100% comfortable in front of the camera. She hypes you up the entire time and made us feel like we were the best models she had ever had : ) She was able to capture such beautiful moments with soft natural lighting and made it so fun. She focused a lot on making sure we got all of the shots that we wanted. Our bridal party was raving about how great she was to work with and how she managed to get the most incredible shots. We look through our wedding album all the time and love every single image. We had a large group and she did a really great job handling goofy groomsmen too. One of my favorite things about working with Hannah was how quickly she provided us a few highlights from the day. Probably two days after our wedding she shared a blog post with some of her favorite images. We felt so loved and special from that gesture. Hannah is also the easiest to work with.
