  Hammitt Photo is THE BEST ✨✨

  Rachel and David of Hammitt Photo are absolutely wonderful. Not only do they take the most beautiful photos, they are professional, kind and so easy to be around. They made my husband and I feel so at ease during our engagement photos and on our wedding day. Our pictures are truly timeless and were delivered in such a timely manner. I can’t recommend them enough!!

  Simply the best: artful, genuine, peaceful, and intentional

  Our experience with Hammitt Design can be best described as artful, genuine, peaceful, and intentional! If you want the opportunity to look at photos and fall in love with your wedding day all over again, look no further than this beautiful, talented, faith-filled husband and wife duo!
  
  We fell in love with Hammitt based on their beautiful light and airy styled portfolio on Instagram and their website. After our engagement session and wedding day we simply have no other words to say than it is just pure art!
  
  From the moment we met Rachel and David it was very clear that they love what they do and do their very best to make sure that your day is exactly how you want it to be! We had coffee with them we shared stories that are special to us and our relationships. We had lots of questions, and we were very impressed because with most husband and wife photographers that we interviewed, it was primarily one of the two that took the lead. However, Rachel and David both took so much ownership, and pride in their work!
  
  Rachel has a wonderful system that allows her to get a summary of the events and create a peaceful atmosphere throughout the wedding day. Last minute, I told David that I wanted to do a first look with my dad and he and Rachel coordinated as if it was already in the plan! We shared laughs and inside jokes on the wedding day and we honestly felt like we had known them forever.
  
  Every detail is intentionally taken into consideration with Hammitt Design… photo delivery, albums, lighting, your fly away hair… your DAY!
  
  We were so blessed and grateful to have found Hammitt, and can’t wait for our next photo-worthy milestone!

  Couldn’t be more pleased!

  We chose Hammitt Photography after seeing their work on social media and knowing other couples who have used them. We couldn’t be happier with our decision! Rachel and Dave are a dream to work with— they made us feel so comfortable behind the camera (saying a lot for us!) and instructed us to flattering poses. Our final album turned out better than we could have imagined with beautiful editing work done. They are so professional, easy to be around, and truly love what they do! I’ve already recommended them to all the brides I know and will continue to swear by them & their work!

  The best wedding photographers

  I have nothing but AMAZING things to say about Rachel and her husband David! They photographed my wedding day and they were absolutely incredible. They are fun and personable people yet professional at the same time. They were great at organizing bridal party, family, friends, etc for photos when they needed to and were great at keep on schedule with the day as a whole— not to mention, the photos themselves were absolutely stunning! You can tell that Rachel really cares about her work— you can tell by the effort she puts in both behind the camera and while editing. I would recommend Rachel to absolutely anyone looking for professional photographs done whether that be portraits, wedding, engagement, family, etc. They're the best!

  Rachel and David were amazing!

  Working with Rachel and David was wonderful. They made two people who do not love being in front of the camera feel comfortable being the center of attention. Their fun, friendly, and inviting personalities made our wedding that much more special. We knew having Hammitt Design as our photographer meant we were going to have pictures that we will treasure for a lifetime. I cannot recommend them enough; they are definitely going to be our photographer of choice in the future!

  AMAZING! You must work with Hammitt!

  Rachel and David are an absolute dream to work with and their photos are even dreamier. We were lucky enough to have them as our wedding photographers this May and feel so incredibly grateful. Not only did Rachel and David capture such beautiful photos for both our engagement session and our wedding, but they made us so relaxed and comfortable on both occasions. Hammitt is the perfect balance of "directive" - telling us where to go or what actions to take - while still capturing our natural faces, body language, and selves. I see the joy that I felt on my wedding day SO clearly through our pictures and I will be forever appreciative of the moments captured and they way in which they were captured as well. My husband and I cannot wait to have Rachel and David photograph us in future phases of our lives and recommend them SO highly to any and everyone looking for a photographer.

  10/10 Photographer Experience - Hammitt Design

  It is hard to put in to words how much it meant to have Hammitt Design shoot our wedding in July. As people who have almost never been professionally photographed, I initially underestimated the value of choosing a professional and caring photography team. As soon as we contacted Rachel about our wedding, she immediately made us feel excited and cared for throughout the entire wedding planning process and even more so on our wedding day. Rachel thinks of everything. Everything from shooting a BEAUTIFUL engagement session and sending us complimentary engagement pictures, to planning our entire wedding timeline and including suggestions to make our day run seamlessly, to genuinely being so excited for us and capturing every important moment and detail in such a beautiful and intentional way. We felt like we had our very own personal hype team following us around, something every bride and groom needs! A good photographer is worth every single penny when thinking about our wedding day experience and the lasting memories they provided us as we look back on the beginning of our marriage. Rachel & David - you are incredible. Thank you so much for everything!

  STUNNING. 10 out of 10, would hire again!!!

  Jarrod and I felt so lucky to have Rachel and David as part of our wedding day. Rachel is the kindest, most gracious, thoughtful, down-to-earth wedding vendor (and probably person, period) I have ever met. And that's before we even get to her amazing talent. Looking at her pictures, it is simple to see how her ability to put you at ease and genuinely laugh makes stunning pictures. Put that with her ability to capture natural light and get just right angle. I would hire Rachel and David over, and over, and over.

  The BEST wedding photographers/human beings

  Rachel and David are THE BEST! We ended up switching plans and getting married in Colorado rather than Chicago due to COVID - and the Hammitts were willing to fly all the way out there with their baby girl and Grandma in tow to capture our day. I cannot think of any other wedding vendors who are that flexible! From the moment we met them for our engagement shoot, to the end of our wedding night, we have been truly blessed by their presence. Rachel is exactly the photographer you want on your big day - she's a calming, steadfast friend who makes you look AMAZING, and my husband and his groomsmen hit it off with David. They are both so genuine and kind, creative, and able to visualize angles and poses that simply make you gasp when you see the final product. As soon as we got our photos we had them framed, blown up on canvases, and are eagerly awaiting our album! The Hammitt's are seriously the only photographers we could ever imagine capturing our wedding! If you hire them they will be your favorite vendors :)

  It was so important to my husband and I that we chose photographers for our wedding who would capture us our day naturally and unpretentiously. Rachel and David did just that and gave us the most beautiful pictures by choosing locations that we loved and prompted us to be ourselves (and they have such fun ideas to help get our best shots). Their laid back style took away from the wedding-day stresses and we could just enjoy. Our true smiles and personalities came through clearly and our joy (and our guests' joy!) were caught perfectly.   The DREAM wedding photographer!

  I wish I could give Hammitt Design six stars - Rachel is just THAT good at what she does! In all seriousness, we couldn't have imagined a better duo than Rachel and her husband, David, to take our engagement photos and capture our wedding day. From my first emails back and forth with Rachel to my actual wedding day, she was always quick to respond or hop on a call, so kind in every interaction, laid back, prepared, and more. Plus, the photos turned out beautifully. I would recommend Rachel and Hammitt Design to anyone and everyone!

  So grateful!

  Rachel & David were the perfect addition to our wedding day. They captured every precious moment of the day and helped us stay on schedule and on track - not easy with our fun group! They were patient, kind, understanding & thoughtful. They listened to what we wanted and went above and beyond to deliver, they are apart of our family now. Could not recommend more!

  Exceeds Expectations in Every Way

  I cannot say enough about how amazing Rachel is to work with and how beautiful our pictures turned out! From the moment we met with her and her husband David in a local coffee shop to see if she would be the one to capture our wedding day for us, she put us completely at ease and really just seemed to “get” us and the style we were looking for. She was genuinely interested in us as a couple and our story and made us feel not just like customers, but like friends. That relationship that she built with us I think is one of the reasons our wedding photos were so amazing - we didn’t feel super awkward working with her, we laughed and joked and were true to ourselves and Rachel and David captured that beautifully. I had no idea she was going to capture just as many moments as she did, but we are hugely grateful that we have so many memories to cherish for years and years to come. Not only did she take a million photos, but she personally retouched each and every one to make sure they were perfect, and they are! I am so grateful to Rachel for capturing the magic of our wedding day and look forward to working with her again to capture memories for our family. I promise if you choose Hammitt Design to photograph your special moments, you will not be disappointed!

  A m a z i n g!

  I cannot begin to describe how amazing working with Rachel was! Finding a wedding photographer is overwhelming and such a big decision. Rachel was recommended to us through a friend and I am forever grateful for that! From our first consultation meeting to our actual wedding day, Rachel made my husband and I feel so at ease, comfortable and valued. Rachel is not only incredibly sweet and easy to talk to, but she is extremely talented and SO good at what she does! Being a bride in 2020 was a rollercoaster, to say the least, but Rachel was there every step of the way. She was so responsive to every email, text, phone call, etc. On our big day, Rachel and David were so attentive to our every need, going above and beyond what they were actually hired for. Our photos are more than I ever could have wished for- just magical! Both my husband and I couldn't be more impressed with the quality and detail. Rachel captured the biggest day of our lives in the best way possible and I am so thankful we will forever have these photos to remember it. I truly cannot recommend Rachel enough! Being a bride in 2020 was a rollercoaster, to say the least, but Rachel was there every step of the way. She was so responsive to every email, text, phone call, etc. On our big day, Rachel and David were so attentive to our every need, going above and beyond what they were actually hired for. Our photos are more than I ever could have wished for- just magical! Both my husband and I couldn't be more impressed with the quality and detail. Rachel captured the biggest day of our lives in the best way possible and I am so thankful we will forever have these photos to remember it. I truly cannot recommend Rachel enough! Working with Rachel and David was one of the best decisions we made when it came to our wedding.

  Rachel and David always made us laugh and feel at ease while taking our photographs! Being a married couple themselves, they have a great rapport with each other, and know exactly what couples are looking for in their photographs. They went above and beyond in making us feel comfortable and capturing the exact look and feel we wanted in our photographs.

  Hammitt Design Wedding Photography

  We had to change our wedding plans due to COVID and had a microwedding with 15 people on our original date. Rachel and David went above and beyond to help us schedule the day and made us feel so special even though attendance was limited. They worked through all of the changes with us and were extremely flexible. We love the beautiful and timeless images we received - they truly documented the joy we felt on our wedding day!

  We booked Rachel and David for our wedding originally scheduled for 4/25/20. Unfortunately we are unable to have our wedding that day due to covid-19. Rachel was easy to work with, easy to reschedule (we will be having our "wedding" next spring) . Rachel and David are great people, easy to work with, and I would recommend them to anyone looking for someone that can go with the flow as well as provide beautiful photos for your big day

  Made our day so easy

  Rachel and David made us feel so at ease throughout the entire process. We live in another state from where we were married, and they were so accommodating with our travel schedule. Everything was prompt and no detail too small. They even called us a couple of days before the wedding to go over the timeline for the big day, which was perfect to not have to worry about the day of. I would recommend them to anyone!

  Rachel and I were childhood neighbors and was the first person I thought of when I was looking for a photographer. Rachel and her husband David are very personable, funny, professional, easy to work with and made the whole experience a breeze. They were very easy going on the day of and David handled the groomsmen with ease and my husband said he fit in well! We even got a couple pictures with an adorable dog along the way. From the engagement shoot to the wedding, the pictures were more than I could have ever asked for. I honestly can not recommend Rachel enough!

  We absolutely loved having Rachel be the photographer for our wedding! What I loved most about working with her and David was how comfortable and fun it was to spend time with them and how easy it felt to be photographed by them. We absolutely LOVE our photos and can't say enough about how happy we are to have had them shoot our wedding!! They are such kind and genuine people who care so much about the work they do, which really shows in the final results. I was expecting to feel awkward, just because neither my husband or I enjoy getting our photo taken, but we had so much fun, both for our engagement shoot and at the wedding! I could go on and on - we felt like old friends with them afterwards, which I really believe is a true gift and talent they have that makes the photos so much more genuine and beautiful!

It was so much fun spending the day with them. They work seamlessly together and really put in the effort to make us comfortable while being photographed. Rachel has such a talent for guiding people effortlessly into the poses and positions to capture the perfect photo. She understands what it’s like to be in front of the camera and helps to really make the session natural, comfortable, and fun! They understand what works and what doesn’t work to get the best shot and are so helpful in explaining step-by-step their ideas and thoughts to us in order for us to see their vision. Not only did we receive beautiful photos of our best day ever, we created such wonderful memories with all the laughter that came with Rachel and David!
